Reason to be chosen for the mission: Was chosen despite being a new recruit due to her unique abilities.
Appearance:
Height: 5'2" (1,57m)
Weight: Secret!
Eye Color: Heterochromia (Right eye is green and the left one is blue)
Hair Color: Ginger.
Personal Style: Faye often wears light clothes, favoring comfortable and easy to move with. Her style is undeniably all over the place. Dynamic and unpredictable, much like Faye herself, she can be found wearing punk-ish clothes, with her signature splash of colors or even light, summer dresses. While Faye does, sometimes wear rather revealing clothes it is not because she wants to show her body (especially since she doesn't really care about doing so), but simply because they're comfortable and easy to move with, which coupled with seems to be one of the main things she looks for when buying new clothes, other than being 'cute'. She absolutely loathes formal clothes.
Personality:
Faye has a very cheerful and carefree behavior. Her energetic, curious and rather innocent personality coupled with those aspects and the fact that she is a rather whimsical and unpredictable girl make her a person that you either love or hate, most of the times, having no in between. Always moving and having a problem with both staying quiet and obeying 'orders', she can indeed be quite problematic to deal with or to keep under control. On the other hand though, she can be a very sweet girl, caring about how others feel and even trying to cheer them up if they're feeling down. While Faye has no problems being by herself, she also does like being around people, even being rather talkative due to her curiosity if people give her attention. She is also very easy to approach and befriend.
Even though Faye can be a bit of an airhead and easily distracted, she is surprisingly intelligent when the situation asks her to be. Due to her personality if someone doesn't keep an eye on her, she can and will wander away to do her own things if they don't manage to keep her attention. Needless to say, despite her strong abilities, she is quite a handful to be kept under control, both due to her 'free' nature and her habit to use her ability freely. The fact that she doesn't respond well to people being aggressive or hostile with her is also a bit problematic. Although she isn't someone that easily resorts to violence, she will retaliate if the situation shows unavoidable. It is a known fact that she can be bribed by things she is interested in though.
Magical Abilities and Skills:
Skills:
Flexibility and Acrobatics: Due to Faye having trained at the gym since she was young, she developed a very flexible body, being able to perform acrobatics without much trouble.
Dexterity and Agility: Again due to Faye's childhood having being spent mostly running, climbing on trees and on the gym, her body, albeit not suited to hand to hand combat (both due to her size, weight and being rather fragile in that aspect) is fast, agile and dexterous, which is further enhanced by her light and petite body frame.
Cooking: Surprisingly, Faye does like to cook and became quite good at it (after creating a few dozen dishes that could be considered a bio-hazard for anyone tasting it). Especially making sweets and deserts, since those are things that she likes the most.
Artistic Talent: Faye's creativity coupled with the few classes she took when she was young gave her a wide array of artistic talents. From singing and playing the piano to drawing and painting.
Magic:
Fae Blood: While being a Half-Fae makes Faye highly sensitive to magic and being able to control her own magic almost instinctively and thus, being able to use her abilities freely, it also affects her negatively. Exposure to high concentrations of dark magic or any kind of magic that is contrary to more natural types of magic does have a very negative mental impact on Faye, making her feel incredibly uncomfortable and getting worse the closer she gets to said magic source and according to it's intensity. Depending on these variables it can get bad to the point that it begins affecting Faye not only mentally, but making her feel physically bad and weak, making her unable to use her magic properly.
The user can immediately and freely teleport itself anywhere in a range of 20m in a sphere around itself. It can be only used up to three times in quick succession, having to wait at least three seconds before being able to use them again. While the user can blink someone together with them the user makes physical contact with said person, the limit for consecutive jumps becomes only one, due to the added effort of blinking someone else than just the user. Additionally, the user can also blink small inanimate objects touched by them, such as knifes, spikes, stones or anything else, shooting them towards their target at a high speed (About the same speed of a modern, low caliber gun with subsonic ammo), which consists in the only offensive capability of this power, which is normally only used for mobility.
The user can tear open portals, linking one place in the space to another. The transmission is immediate and whatever it was transported keeps the same speed and momentum that entered the portal. While opening small portals (up to the size of a person) from short to medium distances is instantaneous, opening portals for longer distances and bigger portals (in size) do take a bit of time and require concentration from the caster to keep working. The effort needed to keep the portal open also gets higher if a big number people or things go through it. Differently from her blink though, it does require either line of sight or previous knowledge of the location the portal will be opened to.
Equipment:
Weighted Steel Spikes: Simple, common weighted steel spikes without anything special. Used by Faye as projectiles by using her blink ability.
Combat Knife: Simple, standard use combat knife.
History/Bio:
Born in London as the youngest daughter of an old and prestigious family, Faye was raised in the Hayward's family estate, an incredibly old mansion in Knightsbridge. Starting her education early, the Hayward family hoped that she would follow her older sister Victoria's steps, who was seen as a model daughter, intelligent, talented and polite. In the beginning, her education was coming out nicely, with her showing a remarkable aptitude to learn and even showing interest in magic, thanks to her older sister's influence, whom often told her bedtime stories while using ice magic to make small ice sculptures of the characters and locations.
Everything changed when Faye went to visit the small mansion the family had near the Dartmoor National park, which was often used on holidays and vacations. When she was going for a small evening walk with her mother and her older sister, Faye simply disappeared when she stopped to pick a flower on a bush near the trail they were walking. The incident was an incredibly strange one. There was no track left behind, no noise or anything strange. Faye had simply disappeared. Despite her family's efforts to find her, contacting even the authorities and even trying to use magic to locate her, they had no success even after two entire weeks, when the authorities stopped searching for Faye and began searching for a body. After four weeks of search, when the efforts had already began to die, Faye was finally found. Strangely enough, the young Faye was found standing nearby the same place she disappeared a month ago, wearing the same clothes, which were strangely clean and even more strangely, decorated with vines, flowers and wearing a small crown of fresh flowers over her head. Other than her clothes, a few other changes were noticed on her appearance, like her hair, which was now a vivid ginger and her previously brown eyes, which had changed colors, one to green and the other to blue. She was strangely calm for the situation she was in, almost as if she was happy and excited instead of being afraid.
While the Haywards were ecstatic that her youngest daughter had been found, on the first days of her return, it became apparent that something had changed on Faye, more than just her appearance. Being much more active than she was before, mischievous and whimsical, Faye was nothing like the well behaved, quiet child she was before, almost as if she was a different person. When previously Faye would ask Victoria to tell her stories, now Faye was the one who told them. Faye's eyes had a wild, untamed glow to them as she told her family stories about the fairies she met while she was in the woods and how they had invited them to where they lived. Her parents already had a suspicion of what was happening, but it was only confirmed when her sister, Victoria, discovered how Faye seemed to be everywhere in the house at once, catching her on the act just after she had left her on her room, arriving on the kitchen just in time to see Faye suddenly appearing near the dining table, trying to steal one of the freshly baked cookies their mother had vehemently warned them that they were for the afternoon tea. Knowing what Faye was now capable of doing, her mother and her father finally came to a conclusion. The stories about Fae blood running in the family turned out to be true... It was indeed true that they had Fae blood in their veins and apparently, it was incredibly strong on Faye, enough for her to be called a Half-Fae.
It was very hard for the Haywards to get used to not only what Faye was now, but her new personality. She was incredibly energetic, vibrant and happy. While they were happy to see their daughter having such fun and shining so brightly every day, it was undeniable that she had inherited more than just the magic from her Fae blood. The month she had spent with them made her see the world more like how they see it and less how humans do. Whimsical, mischievous and untamed, Faye was an impossible child to keep under control. Dresses and more formal clothes would often end up in tatters in an astounding speed as she climbed trees to eat the fruits, chased butterflies and even got out to play in the rain. Not only that, but the child was especially troublesome, since she would use her ability freely on her day to day. Her parents had to get... creative to educate her... After all, it was really hard to keep someone who could freely blink around 'grounded'...
As Faye grew up, her parents slowly got used to dealing with her and found out that the best thing they could do was to give her as much freedom as they could, while providing her many different activities for her to use her energy and creativity... Otherwise it was almost certain she would somehow get herself into trouble. Thanks to the many activities they put Faye into, such as gymnastics, painting, athletics, they managed to at least make her attend normal education. If one was capable to somehow deal with her rather short attention span, she showed herself to be a surprisingly good student. Especially on subjects she was interested on. As she grew older though, her unique situation, coupled with the strange news of her disappearance years ago, finally caught the attention of the OMR, which requested her presence to study her situation, test and register her magic's limits and possibly offer her a career if she was interested. Encouraged by her family and without any reason to reject the offer, Faye moved to Germany when she completed 18 years in order to present herself to the OMR, both for the tests and registration and to apply as a potential recruit.

Miscellaneous Information
Even though her parents are still in London, her sister Victoria often travels around Europe due to family business, being the heiress of the Hayward family. She often sends small gifts for Faye when she isn't able to visit her.
Much to her co-workers' dismay (or anyone who constantly is around Faye), she often likes playing tricks on others, mainly due to the influence of her Fae blood.
Faye has a very good relationship with the Fairies due to both her heritage, her blood and the fact that she spent a month under their care. Thanks to that and to how close she is from natural magic, most deities with natural origins, even the more 'recluse' ones might see her as much 'closer' to themselves than normal humans.
Basic Information:
Name: Catherine Blackwood Age: 21 Nicknames: 'Walking Disaster' Height: 1,75m Gender Identity: Female Civil Status: Unmarried Occupation: Alchemist and Adventurer Reason for accepting this task: Any capable scholar or alchemist would immediately jump at the chance of studying the unknown. The implications of the potential discoveries far outweigh the risks. Both that and after Gremarre's royalty not only allowed her, but specifically requested her to do so. Place of Residence: Gremarre Kingdom, Gremarre
Appearance:
If gods are real, they definitely blessed Catherine with her beauty. Standing at an above-average 1,75m, Catherine has a lean, athletic and elegant body. Blessed with perfect bodily proportions, from her hair, often kept in a slightly disheveled braid, to her long legs, calling Catherine a beauty is often an understatement.
Catherine seems to have a very unique style of clothing, often favoring more function than form, as it is evident by her signature, red overcoat, which seems to be custom tailored to her own needs, with dozens of places to hold potions, vials as well as internal pockets for ingredients and reagents. Interestingly enough, Catherine's taste for clothes seems to fit her perfectly well. Her functional and elegant style complement her height in a beautiful manner and even the red overcoat seems to give her an unique 'touch' in her appearance. Other than that, despite her rather... 'unique', fashion sense, she is not oblivious to the beauty she was graced with, which is shown by how silky and well taken care of her hair is and the fact that her skin is always perfect (undoubtedly, thanks to her knowledge in Alchemy. Rumors are that queens would definitely start a war if they knew the tonics and skin care products Catherine is able to create and has been using for some time).
Underneath her elegant looks are hidden quite potent muscles though. Due to her unique physiology, result of years of self-experimentation with poisons, potions, tonics and many other things, the muscle fibers in her body became compressed and reinforced, giving Catherine enough strength to compete against a bodybuilder, while keeping her body lean and elegant. The rather unique mix of potent muscles with a light weight frame give Catherine rather unique physical capabilities.
Personality:
Most of the times, Catherine is an enthusiastic and very energetic person. Her wild personality and unruly behavior does make her quite at home among many adventurers, whom, despite how infamous she is, often enjoy having her for a drink.
Catherine shows interest to those who share her views, are interested in her work or those she considers her 'friends'. Despite her quirks and being somewhat hard to deal with, she still values friendship and camaraderie (even though it is rare for others to approach her enough to become more than 'drinking buddies'). That said, she shows a complete lack of interest on people who dont share her views, often outright ignoring them should they not have anything worthwile to say to her. Most of people in Gremarre find her hard to deal with, both because she openly despises those who speak ill of her regardless of their status, but still come to her when needed and because she accepts no interference in her job nor any 'suggestions' regarding her methods.
Being rather infamous for her dangerous research and experiments, unorthodox (and unethical) methods, Catherine often finds it very hard for her to get her hands into materials for her research, both due to their rarity and due to petty reasons from half of the academic society, which still dislike her after she wounded their pride when she arrived on Gremarre. Due to that, she has taken this 'supply' problem into her own hands, which wasn't exactly hard, since she was already an adventurer before arriving in Gremarre.
In combat situations, Catherine shows herself to be rather difficult to control. With little to no regards to collateral damage, the chaos she created in combats quickly became a nightmare to both enemies and allies alike by making unrestricted usage of poisons, explosive mixtures and some even worse compounds she created. While she is definitely a force to be reckoned with when by herself, she doesn't make any effort to work as a team and if the party she is working with does not know how to deal with her, they might find it easier to just stay out of her way and let her take care of things by herself.
Biography:
Little is known about Catherine's origins before she arrived on Gremarre as an adventurer other than the infamous record she holds in the Adventurer's Guild and the nickname she received, the "Walking Disaster". While she claims to be the daughter of a famous adventurer and an alchemist which had connections to the academic society in Gremarre, it's unknown if her claims are true or not, since both the adventurer she named seems to have either disappeared or be dead and the alchemist, while indeed having been once a promissing student from one of the academies in Gremarre, died from a contagious disease a few years ago after she left Gremarre.
Despite the unclear origins though, almost immediately upon arriving in Gremarre, Catherine estabilished herself as an unparalelled genius after openly and publicly interrupting and debating with scholars in the middle of an academic conference, disproving and debunking the theory that was being discussed while revealing the errors in their research. While that little stunt did earn her the enmity of half of the academic society, it did attract the attention of many eyes, including Gremarre's royal family, which saw great potential in such a genius, despite her rather... 'dangerous' personality and the complaints regarding her experiments and the methods she used, coming from both the Adventurer's Guild and especially the staff members that are tasked to cleaning up her mess afterwards.
Even though she was unfit to occupy any seat of importance due to obvious reasons, the royal family still considered her to be too valuable to throw away and at the same time, too dangerous to not keep an eye on as long as she was in their city, thanks to the trail of destruction and chaos she often left on her wake due to her recklessness and the 'experiments' she often made. Instead of labeling her as a dangerous individual and not allowing her to stay in the city, they made a small proposal to Catherine. As long as she agreed to provide them consultation and assistance in case her talents were needed and agree to periodically research and study subjects the royal family was interested in, they would not only give her complete freedom to make her own research and experiments, but would also provide a particular laboratory near the borders of the city, along with an yearly research funding to help her finance her studies.
Abilities:
Hand-to-hand combat:
What started only as a hobby of practicing martial arts in order to keep her body healthy, ended up evolving into an unique fighting style thanks to her body's unique constitution and became incredibly useful once she became an adventurer. Catherine makes use of not only punches and kicks, but her entire body in combat, including acrobatic moves, choke holds and even using her anatomy knowledge to strike joints and other weak spots.
Unique Physiology:
Years of using herself as a guinea-pig for testing potions, tonics, poisons and venoms due to the lack of willing subjects gave Catherine a rather unique body physiology. Her muscle fibers are both compressed and reinforced, giving her enough strength to compete against a bodybuilder without changing her body mass or flexibility and agility... As long as she is anchored on the ground in order to make up for the weight difference. In combat, most of her strength doesn't come from her body weight, but instead the explosive acceleration she is able to produce when punching, kicking or her mobility, being able to both easily jump over and use acrobatic moves in order to reposition herself and move herself in a very quick and agile manner.
This unique physiology also gives Catherine an incredible resistance to most venoms, poisons and toxins, along with making her skin resistant to corrosion and burns.
The tradeff to that is that most beneficial potions and tonics that are normally used to heighen one's physical capabilities or senses to have a minimal effect on her, with the exception of healing potions. Her dulled sense of pain also means that she can fight despite being wounded, although it can be rather dangerous for Catherine, since thanks to that, she can reach the point of overexerting herself enough to tear her muscles apart without realizing if she doesn't pay enough attention.
Combat Alchemy:
Catherine makes use of a myriad of potions, venoms and mixtures while fighting, both throwing vials and making use of special gloves she had made for herself. From paralyzing venom and liquid nitrogen to explosive and incendiary mixtures to corrosive acids.
Miscellaneous Facts:
- Catherine often likes to play pranks on people that are unaware of her unique 'physiology', such as challenging them to drinking contests, arm wrestling or even races.
- While most of the staff-members from the Adventurer Guild really dislike her, the adventurers herself often enjoy her company, as she seems to identify herself with the most 'rowdy' type of adventurers.
- Catherine started learning martial arts as a hobby in order to keep her body healthy after extended periods of time stuck inside of her lab when researching left her with recurrent cramps and stiff muscles.

Personality:
Myra has a very simple personality with it's defining trait being her curiosity and innocence. Extremely curious about new things or even people that she doesn't know, she will often feel compelled to investigate them, observing them first and approaching only after confirming they are not a threat. While she is carnivore and hunts for food, she is not actively aggressive, often approaching others sentient beings in a neutral stance, with the way she will initially treat them depending largely on this first encounter. Being kind and even helping those who are kind and treat her well. If threatened or perceiving someone or something as a threat, she will, either flee or fight back if there is no alternative. On rare situations where someone or something consistently shows itself to be a threat to her, she might eve even actively hunt it down.
Myra has, most of the times a very calm demeanor. Only showing hostility or being aggressive in specific situations where she feels threatened or in danger. While she does get nervous when in places with too many people and too many different smells, it doesn't trigger a hostile reaction from her. Due to her instincts playing a big part on how she decides things, Myra often avoids confrontations where she can get gravely wounded, since for someone who lives in the wild, being wounded means being vulnerable. That said, if she perceives she can take down the target without major risks to her life, she will fight back. Her reaction speed, mainly due to her physiology and how quickly she moves, is extremely fast, which can be both a good or a bad thing depending on the situation.
Despite being quite literally a blank slate regarding memories, not knowing even how to talk, it is clear by both her actions and decisions that Myra is an intelligent demon, being able to solve problems and quickly learn things when observing someone or something (remember, since she lacks common sense, she might learn some... strange things and unless someone corrects her, she won't hesitate in showing others what she learned with a proud and confident smile). Due both to her physiology and her curiosity, Myra can be quite hyperactive, being a handful to take care of, especially if she is somewhere new and curious to explore.
She also shows unusual skills and techniques when fighting and hunting, being particularly adept at killing not like a wild animal, but quickly and efficiently. Skills that are undeniably not something a wild animal would know.

Due to both being a demon and believed to be dead, she lived alone in the forests until now.
History:
To most people who see Myra, she would be only a strange, wild demon from origins unknown. Only a few know who she was on her past life and what happened to her... Before she was betrayed by the very same person she served, Myra reported directly to Basilian as both a spy and sometimes... silently eliminating those whom he deemed necessary. As it was expected both due to her abilities and her job, nothing really was a secret for her... At least not for too long once she was ordered to or took a particular interest to it... Despite her swearing allegiance to Basilian, it was simply unavoidable for her to discover secrets belonging not only to enemies, but to allies as well due to the very nature of what she did. While Myra knew that holding other's secrets in one's hands can be an incredibly dangerous thing, if they didn't realize that she knew about their secrets or even who she was, she should be safe if she simply stood quiet, right? Unfortunately for her, there was one sole person whom she simply couldn't hide anything from no matter how much she tried... Amarantha, Basilian's sister...
Using Myra as his eyes and ears both inside his territory and outside, Basilian used the knowledge Myra attained both for the war and root out possible traitors inside his own army and territory. While she was relatively safe from retaliation from said traitors, due to her very position in Basilian's army and existence being know only by a few, she wasn't safe from Amarantha. While it was relatively doable to keep on Basilian's good side, as long as she brought him results, Amarantha was different. Her powers were both unknown for Myra regarding their full extent and definitely dangerous. Due to that, she always swore allegiance to Basilian, but keeping an eye on Amarantha, fearing for her life. Still, her allegiance wasn't enough for Amarantha. When she found out that Myra knew secrets she shouldn't know about Basilian, she immediately told Basilian, somehow getting him against Myra. It was undeniable that she had helped them a lot on the war, but Basilian wasn't the type of man who would leave loose ends nor forgive someone who could potentially become a traitor. Once he deemed she wasn't necessary anymore... he had only one thing left to do... It was simply too dangerous for her to stay alive, knowing as much as she did. After being tortured and dealt with both by Basilian and by Amarantha's magic, her broken and apparently lifeless body was thrown into the uninhabitable zone to die.
Unknown to Basilian or Amarantha though, Myra somehow was able to survive his attack and due to his underling's negligence in properly disposing of her, she was able to recover herself from the wounds after a long time. Despite her body being able to recover itself, her mind wasn't. Having completely lost her memory, Myra's mind was reduced to a blank slate. Not knowing even how to talk, she became a 'wild' demon, surviving in the forests like an animal would, resorting only to her instincts and the few things that were still preserved in her mind, mostly as muscle memory and reflexes than memories that she really understood, after Basilian and Amarantha's attack. Things such as her skills and training as a spy and assassin, her name & etc were still preserved in her memory.
Strength: 5 Speed on Land: 10 Speed in Air: None Magical Ability: 0 Dexterity: 10 Weapon Proficiency: 0 Stealth: 10
Physical Strengths:
⋆ Natural weapons (retractable claws (hands/feet) and teeth) ⋆ Agility and speed (enhanced by her unique physiology) ⋆ Stealth and ambushes ⋆ Melee combat (speed and stealth)
Physical Weaknesses:
⋆ Does not wear any kind of armor or protective armor, nor she has hard scales or anything to defend her other than her skin. ⋆ Doesn't use weapons other than her teeth and claws. ⋆ Has no means of ranged attacks ⋆ Her fighting style relies heavily on speed. Direct contests of strength put her in quite a disadvantage due to her light body. Anything that immobilizes her puts her on heavy disadvantage. ⋆ Her enhanced senses can be used against her
Subspecies:
Myra is believed to be either an unique type of demon (maybe an evolution from some species of feral demons) or a hybrid from other subspecies due to the fact that she does not resemble any other type of demon species. With her most striking and defining features being her long tail (more than twice the size of her own body) and her completely white skin, the difference between her and other types of demon is clear with a single glance.
Even though sharp teeth aren't really rare among demons, Myra possesses a double row of slightly curved and extremely sharp teeth, seemingly designed for hunting and killing. Coupled with sharp, retractable claws, these features make it clear that whatever subspecies Myra belongs, is exclusively carnivore.
Best Abilities:
Due to her unique physiology, Myra is able to move herself in an extremely agile and fast manner. By using her long tail as both a prehensile tail (being even to sustain her own body weight on top of it) and to balance herself, she is able to perform unusually sharp turns and move herself in an unpredictable manner. Using mostly her retractable claws (both the smaller ones in her hands and the bigger ones in her feet) and especially her dangerous teeth (her biting strength is enough to break bones and tear flesh) as weapons, she also utilizes her long tongue in combination with her nose to form an enhanced sense of smell, similar of a snake's, being able to track down her prey by smell.
Other than those, one of the most unique skills she has is having something akin to an 'active camouflage', being able to become virtually invisible when moving either in a normal speed or slowly. When running on high speeds though, this active camouflage is less efficient, making it possible to see a light distortion if one pays enough attention and can follow her with their eyes.
Trivia: While most never got close enough both physically and emotionally to Myra to know that, she has a surprisingly long tongue and a soft patch of fur behind her neck on the summer, which grows fluffier, forming almost a scarf around her neck in the winter (her hair also seems to grow longer on winter to help keep herself warm). While most of the times hidden by her hair (unless it's winter), this patch of fur has been observed to react to her humor, bristling if she feels threatened, cornered, angry or afraid.

⋆ Failing in protecting his mistress.
Sexuality:
Heterossexual
Personality:
Being trained since he was young to serve the royal family as a butler and a personal attendant, Nuallán knows that a butler's presence is an incredibly important part of his position and knows how to behave accordingly to the situation. Knowing when one should interact with his masters, their guests and entertain them or when to quietly tend to their needs so that his presence isn't noticed is paramount for someone in his position. Being in the position of a butler or a personal attendant, an elite servant for the royal family, also means that one must be selfless and kind to their masters and pleasant to any guests they welcome. Naturally, he goes to extreme lengths to protect members of the royal family, especially his Lady Rosaria.
Both due to his position and his personality, Nuallán is an extremely calm and level-headed person, being patient enough to deal with any situation that might arise in order to avoid any inconvenience to his masters and calm enough to immediately react and deal with potential crisis quickly and efficiently, not letting anxiety to hinder his judgement or actions. While he puts his masters' safety above everything else, he knows when to bare his fangs when needed... or ordered.
Being taught since young to serve the royalty, Nuallán has an extensive array of knowledge over many subjects, being able to talk almost with anyone about almost any subject. His charisma, both developed over the years as a butler and due to his own personality, allows him to defuse most situations that might arise, handling most people amicably and avoiding conflicts. While not exactly a desirable trait for a butler or a personal attendant, his intelligence and quick mind also make him quite cunning. That, coupled with him being somewhat of a trickster can lead to some... interesting situations. Even though he keeps it mostly under control due to his position and role, depending on the situation, especially if someone gets on his or the royal family (again, especially his lady Rosaria, whom he considers more than just his master), he can prove to be a major thorn on someone's side. While he mostly behaves himself in a perfect manner around most people he is not intimately familiar with, to those he is close with, such as Rosaria, whom he has been her butler and personal attendant for a long time, since he was young, he acts in a much more closer manner. Even playing some harmless tricks, jokes and lightly teasing them. The best way to describe his energy levels would be neutral. Slightly bit on the more energetic side, but still composed and stable.
While he still keeps his position and role in mind, he considers Rosaria as more than just a member of the royalty and his mistress, almost as a childhood friend due to the time they spent together.
Background
Occupation
Butler and Personal attendant to the Royal Light elf family (most specifically for Rosaria)
Are you a loner or with a group? Have you always been in this place?:
Always seen near Princess Rosaria. Rarely seen far from her.
History:
Nuallán was the first child born in the Varnion family, a family with a long history of serving the royals. With an old and long lasting oath to serve and protect the Light Elf Royal blood, the Varnion family possess a great deal of influence and privilege in the Light Elf society. Their position, role and the oath they took with the royal family meaning that they bow to no one other than the royal family themselves and can only ordered directly by them. The Varnion have been training elite butlers and personal attendants for the royals for generations, with a reputation befitting to the weight their family name has. As such, Nuallán's role as a butler and personal attendant to Lady Rosaria was already decided from the moment he was born.
In every generation, the Varnion family will have at least two children. While the first one is always the one who will take the oath to serve the royal family, the duty of the second child is to manage the family's estate and continue the family. While the education the younger child receives isn't as extensive as the first-born, it is equally as strict. While the younger child does have much more freedom regarding living his own life, they do have to uphold the family's honor and being an exemplary member of the society. Failing to do so can earn them even exile from the family if their misdeeds are grave enough.
Being the older child, Nuallán's first years were spent studying, training and learning the basic skills necessary for his role. Once this basic training is completed, with them having enough knowledge and training to know how to behave themselves when in the presence of a member of the royalty, members of the Varnion family are introduced to the royal family and start spending all the time they are not studying or training, together with the one that will be their master or mistress, in order for them to familiarize themselves with them, know them well and build a solid relationship.
This continues for years until they have completely mastered the many skills necessary and given a passing grade by their parents after a rigid and strict evaluation. When that moment comes, a ceremony is made where the member of the Varnion family will recite the Oath that will bind for life to that specific member of the royal family. From this moment onward, they are not considered to be an apprentice anymore, but instead a full fledged member of the Varnion family, enjoying all the privileges and responsibilities that come with it. Other than that, is from this moment onward that they start living together with the royalty member that will be their master from now on, dedicating their full time to guard and tend to their needs.
Combat and Magic
Strength: 7 Speed on Land: 9 Speed in Air: None Magical Ability: 4 Dexterity: 9 Weapon Proficiency: 10 Stealth: 7
Equipment:
An incredibly dangerous weapon, both for the user and his target. This thin, agile double edged sword is a sectioned sword, also called a 'sword whip'. Each separate section is marked by a sharpened iron thorn. It can both be used as a normal sword or in it's whip form.
Simple, virtually unremarkable throwing knives. These in particular have a small hole near the base, which Nuallán uses with his razor-sharp wires to deadly effect.
Razor-sharp steel wires - Incredibly thin and flexible, razor sharp wires of steel. Sharp enough to easily cut flesh, it isn't is resistant enough to resist the attack of a blade, although the cutting it might not be the best choice if it's under high tension.
Combat Style:
While Nuallán's magical ability is limited, being able to use only the basic photokinetic abilities such as creating shields and imbuing his weapons with light, his physical abilities more than make up to these shortcomings. By using his agility, dexterity and his expertise with his respective weapons of choice, it is not an exaggeration to say that Nuallán can quickly transform the battlefield to his own advantage, almost like a spider which creates it's own web to catch it's prey. This style of combat gave him the nickname 'Natsemo'. By using the razor sharp wires tied on the end of his throwing knives, Nuallán not only has a ranged attack option, but he can also use two knives to put the wires under high tension, either linking both knives with a wire or holding the wires in his hand, cutting anyone careless enough to touch said wire or simply pull the throwing knives back to him in a follow up in case the initial throw missed it's target. Other than that, his sword, Nwalnasse is a weapon that is not only unpredictable, but incredibly dangerous even for the wielder if he isn't dexterous and experienced enough with it.
Trivia: Both the name of his weapon and his 'nickname' are written in Quenya, an Elvish language created by J.R.R. Tolkien. Quenya is the precursor to 'modern' Sildarin, which is a simplified version of the language and spoken all around Gondor.
Nwalnasse means literally "Cruel Thorn", while Natsemo comes from Natsë (Web/Net) + mo (Man who does)
When Sadie mentioned she had made the dagger herself, Mayet raised an eyebrow surprised. She truly didn't look like someone who was able to wield heavy hammers and could withstand the fire and heat from the forge... But despite what Mayet thought, the dagger was still marked with her initials... P.S.
"Surprising! I didn't think of you as a blacksmith, but I stand corrected! It is indeed a beautiful blade." Mayet said with a smile as she waved to Sadie, who was already on her way to the blacksmith. Much to her guards' dismay, it seemed like Princess Sadie still had energy to spare, despite having ran all the way here to help with the bear.
"Quite an energetic one, isn't she?" Mayet said with a chuckle.
When Munir began speaking though, replying to her teasing comments from earlier, she couldn't help but laugh.
"Jealousy? Someone as perfect as me has no reason to feel jealous." Mayet said, waving her hand with a smug smirk.
Nala, who was having her chin scratched by Munir, simply looked up, enjoying the attention and the scratches as both Mayet and Munir talked.
"My dear brother, do you really think I am the same as those vulgar women you fool around with? I was merely... provoking him a bit. It is still too early for me to make my move... You on the other hand... Might get lucky if you go visit him in his blacksmithing class, Brother Munir." Mayet replied, laughing.
"Besides, while I am interested in blades and weapons, I am really not interested in ruining my hands and my skin by wielding heavy, rough hammers and standing next to the forges' fire." Mayet said, waving her hand, dismissing Munir's idea of her going to Roman's blacksmithing class as if it was something absurd for her.
"Talking about the bear..." Mayet said, her expression changing for a moment as she turned to the other nobles and guards that slowly started approaching them, after it became clear that the creature was dead.
"I advise against using this creature's meat for consumption... Or even touching it's blood for the time being. Take it to a veterinarian an alchemist or something to examine it. No healthy animal should behave as this bear did or be as resilient as it was." Mayet said to the guards and nobles before she turned to Munir again.
"Don't overthink and worry yourself too much about it, my dear brother. It was merely one rabid bear. It was nowhere near the most dangerous creature we have already hunted." she said to Munir with a smile as he mounted his horse.
Mayet was already about to turn away and leave herself, when she heard Munir making another little 'comment' about her being 'noisy with her man' that night.
"MUNIR!! STOP SAYING THINGS THAT MAKE ME LOOK LIKE A THIRSTY, TEENAGE GIRL! If I hear any rumors going around about me because of your little teasing remarks, I WILL FLAY YOU ALIVE!" Mayet shouted, stomping one of her feet on the ground as Munir galloped away on his horse.
After taking a moment to breathe, Mayet turned to Nala, calling her.
"Let's go Nala. It's not our job to deal with the carcass of a diseased animal..." Mayet said as she gently scratched Nala's head before they began making their way back to her room to take a good and relaxing bath after the hunt.
Despite the heavy attacks suffered by the bear, it still struggled for it's life. A final stand from the huge bear as it's life neared it's end. As much as she wanted to take a look at Roman's expression after her 'little' provocation, he kept her eyes focused on the bear...
That was, until an exquisite, ornate lavender dagger flew through the air, sinking deep into the bear's chest, finally silencing it's furious cries.
The owner of the dagger came soon after, running towards them with an entourage of bodyguards running after her. The fine clothes, jewelry and the amount of bodyguards quickly identified the blonde woman as Royalty. Seeing how she seemed to be quite close with Roman, it was very likely she was from the Varian Kingdom. Mayet's thoughts were quickly confirmed as Roman called her 'Princess Sadie' as he replied to her.
The moment the Varian Princess turned towards Nala though, her eyes lit up as she expressed her amazement, making Mayet let out a satisfied, proud smile.
"We are fine, thank you for your help. Oh, and there is no need for apologies. If anything, we feel happy by the attention." Mayet said with a mischievous smile as she called Nala to her side with a hand gesture, gently caressing Nala's back as she approached her.
"Even in Alidasht, a majestic creature such as Nala isn't exactly a common sight. Especially one of her size." Mayet said with a proud expression as she approached the bear, getting the dagger form it's chest, before cleaning the blood on the bear's fur and handing it to Princess Sadie.
"An exquisitely made blade. Quite a wonderful dagger, indeed. Beautiful, sharp and deadly." Mayet said, offering Sadie a smile as she handed the dagger back to her, holding it by the tip of it's blade, with the handle pointed towards her.
It was only then that Mayet finally turned towards Roman. She was expecting to see him blushing heavily and not knowing how to react after feeling her thighs around his neck but, much for her surprise, Roman didn't seem to be affected by it at all and instead, he merely commented on how it 'reminded him of home' and how his siblings climbed all over him.
The disappointment on Mayet's expression was visible as she looked at Roman, incredulous. Until she finally realized... The way how Roman didn't seem to react to her provocations, how he seemed to be rather worried that her brother Munir might think bad of him or that he might be offended... It all made sense if she thought about it. The only reason why someone would ignore the provocations of someone as perfect as Mayet herself was if they weren't interested on females in the first place.
As Roman bid his farewells to them, Mayet's disappointment immediately disappeared, instead giving place to a smug smirk, the type of expression someone made when they had caught up on a 'secret'.
"It was quite an amusing hunt indeed, Lord Roman. I am sure we have all learned more about each other today. It is a shame to see you leave so soon though, but I am sure me and my dear sibling will have many other opportunities to meet with you." Mayet said, waving towards Roman before she approached Munir, who had just finished offering the bear a small prayer, as it was the Alidashtian custom.
"It seems you might have better chances with Roman than I would, my dear brother Munir... He seemed to be quite... invested in making you think positively of him..." Mayet said in a low tone, teasing Munir with a mischievous smirk.
"I wonder how would his reaction be if you wrapped your legs around his neck instead of me..." Mayet said, laughing as she continued to tease Munir.
The excitement, the adrenaline, feeling the roar of that mighty creature resonating through Mayet's chest as she wounded it... When she first came to this hunting event, she definitely wasn't expecting to be met with such a good prey to hunt. Unlike the others, which seemed to be fighting for their lives, Mayet was apparently having a lot of fun judging by her expression.
Regardless of how much excitement that hunt was providing Mayet, it was true that the bear was showing itself to be extremely resilient, shrugging off Munir's sharp arrows, charging through Roman's spear and even ignoring Mayet's powerful slash. Despite the many wounds, the bear still had enough strength to resist and fight. Enough to even be able to free itself from Nala's bite, sending her sliding through the forest floor, leaving deep scratch marks behind as Nala sunk her claws into the earth to keep her balance. Fortunately, even though the bear was incredibly resistant, it wasn't able to escape Nala's bite unscathed. It now seemed to be unable to stand up, forced to stand on all fours.
"Good job Nala! Keep your distance, it's focused on you." Mayet said as the bear charged towards Nala, letting out a loud roar.
While Nala was bigger than most tigers and had an impressive physique, thanks to the regular hunting trips she took with Mayet, she knew well that facing that bear head on was a bad idea. As long as it was focused on her like that, she knew that the best course of action was to try and keep his attention, buying Mayet and the others to attack while she dodged it's charges.
Answering the bear's roar with a menacing growl, Nala dashed away from the bear's charge, distancing herself from it as she continued growling.
With more arrows being fired by Munir and Roman moving for a decisive blow with his axe, Mayet knew that unless something very unexpected happened, that hunt was nearing its end. Still, Mayet knew better than to relax before a hunt ended, no matter how certain it's result seemed to be... That and she couldn't simply let someone else finish that hunt. At least not without her attacking one last time. As Roman moved in to hit the bear's neck with his axe, Mayet moved until she was directly behind Roman and simply waited with her ring blade on hands.
The moment Roman finished his strike, she would immediately run towards him and before he even recovered his stance after the attack, she would put her hands on his back, along with the flat end of her ring blade. Using Roman as support to perform a front walkover. As her left leg rises above Roman's head and starts lowering to wrap itself on his left shoulder, she would catch her ring blade with her right leg before letting it go at full speed towards the bear's neck almost like a coiled spring. The ring blade would be carried along with it, the centrifugal force, coupled with the momentum would result in an attack with far more force that it would be possible for someone of Mayet's size and strength.
The whole maneuver would end in a rather comfortable position, especially for Roman, who would have Mayet sitting on his shoulders and legs wrapped around his neck, with her right leg sticking out and her ring blade around her foot.
"Do you enjoy this feeling?" Mayet whispered in a provocative tone, pressing her thighs against Roman's neck, not enough to harm or suffocate him in any way, but enough for him to clearly feel her muscles and how firmly she was holding on him.
That small provocation lasted for only a brief moment and it would be almost imperceptible for most people, unless they paid very close attention.
Unfortunately for Roman, he would only be able to feel such bliss for a brief moment, as Mayet would almost immediately get out of his shoulders, letting herself fall back and her hands touch the ground, using her leg to throw her ring blade up before catching it with her right hand and standing up back again.
Mayet hoped that it would be enough to deal with that bear... Otherwise they might find themselves in a battle of attrition, having to wait for the bear to succumb to it's wounds or get too tired to resist anymore and give up... Which was exactly the type of hunt she hated...
Princess El'lysael's disguise, or 'Lys' as she preferred to be called was unbelievably good... especially considering how the princess seemed to have a rather... 'unique' desire for freedom. Unlike most other members of the court. Despite that, if one paid close attention, there were still some small details that might give a hint to her true origin. Unconscious movements such as the way she ate, how she walked and behave herself, which was why Karina was so cautious regarding when she would use her presence as their secret weapon. Even though Karina herself would probably not have believed she was the princess if she didn't know in advance, she didn't want to draw too much attention to the princess's disguise.
To make things even worse, Karina's current group, while definitely not 'unskilled' by any means, seeing what they've been through, but it was still far from what a proper group for infiltration and espionage would be.
Their group had enough problems on their own, besides the presence of the princess... Mainly Tayla, regarding when exactly she drew the line between her 'trust and loyalty' towards Karina and her own interests and Chres's... unstable behavior. While Karina did know that Chres had his own inner demons to fight against, she was getting tired of seeing him drown his sorrows on alcohol every single day, continuing with his self-destructive behavior without any regards to those around him.
She knew better than to expect them to act like trained soldiers, but she hoped they wouldn't cause her any more problems than the ones she already had.
Regardless of the internal problems on their group, the investigation wasn't exactly going well. Lord Ru'Tev seemed to be actively avoiding them in a rather strange manner... Something that made Karina's instincts tell her that there might be something more going on that they weren't aware of. At least yet...
"You are late, Chres." Karina said as she looked to Chres as he arrived with Tayla, her stare lingering on Chres for a while, especially as he asked for another ale...
"Good job, Tayla. Thank you." Karina said offering Tayla a nod of approval before her eyes turned to Chres once more.
"And you still reek of alcohol... Ugh..." Akai said, rolling her eyes as she looked at Chres, before she turned to Syl.
"Why don't you try coffee instead of alcohol? Syl seemed to enjoy it when I..." Akai began, before immediately stopping herself, not wanting to let others know that she was the one that offered coffee for Syl, curious to how would she react to it.
"Lord Ru'Tev already knows my and Lys's faces and he seems to be quite cautious regarding us. He won't accept talking to us unless he has no other option... Which might be just exactly what we will have to do..." Karina said in a low tone as she spotted Lord Ru'Tev entering the tavern.
"We need more information on what exactly is happening before we can act..." Karina said to herself as she went to a table a bit far away from the Lord, keeping him and the group in her sight but trying not to draw the Lord's attention to her.
Nala had just finished gulping down the beaver's heart that Roman gave her and was still licking the blood from her lips when Hannah, the game warden from before, approached them, mentioning that they seemed to have better results than the other nobles. Mayet was surprised when Hannah mentioned that she had watched her and Nala's hunt. Especially since Mayet didn't feel her presence as she was hunting the bunny. Maybe Hannah was a better huntress than Mayet had initially given her credit for... Either that or Mayet got a little bit too excited when hunting, despite her prey's small size due to the time both her and Nala spent without exercising themselves properly... Regardless of what it was, Hannah's praise was well received by Mayet, who let out a smile as she looked to Hannah before replying.
"You are more than welcome to join us on future hunts, if you wish to see more. After all, this little one was only a small appetizer." Mayet replied to Hannah with a mischievous grin as she gave another glance towards the poor bunny, before offering it to Hannah.
Roman and Munir seemed to be understanding each other a little better too after they cleared the misunderstanding that was previously going on between them. Roman even offered to give the pelt from the beaver he had just hunted to Munir as a favor, instead of selling it to him.
"Don't take my dear brother's sharp tongue to heart, Roman. Most of the times, he does mean well." Mayet said with a chuckle as she watched both of them talking.
Soon after Hannah finished complimenting them, Hannah gave a few words to the hunters, marking the end of the event. Just as they began following Hannah towards the entrance of the forest and just as Roman began talking, intending to invite them for something this night, they all were interrupted due to loud growl coming from behind them. While many nobles would undoubtedly be struck with fear as they met face to face with the responsible for such a mighty growl, an enormous grizzly bear, especially as it charged towards them, Mayet's eyes were lit with excitement upon meeting a prey that would offer her more adrenaline than a mere rabbit... That was until it struck Hannah with it's claws, knocking her out and wounding her in the process. The moment Mayet saw that, her expression immediately changed from excitement to a serious one as she looked to the other nobles, who were starting to run away.
"If you don't want to face my wrath when this all is over, you'd better to turn back at once, take Hannah somewhere safe and get help for her instead of running away like cowards!" Mayet shouted, barking orders to the other hunter nobles with sharp eyes, before she turned her attention towards the bear again.
"It seems the hunt isn't over yet, Nala." she said, not being able to hide the excitement on her voice as she nodded towards Nala, who had already began running towards the bear after hearing Munir's command. By the moment Munir's arrows hit the bear and Roman's spear pierced it's chest, Nala had already pounced at the bear's back, firmly gripping it's hide with her claws as she bit into the back of it's neck, trying to pierce through both the thick layer of fat, the fur and the hide to break it's spine.
Mayet rushed towards the bear with her ring blade in hand as she threw two small chakrams at the bear's face. While Mayet knew the chakrams wouldn't do much in terms of damage against a beast of that size, it would most likely be enough to divert it's attention for a brief second. Enough for Mayet to dash towards it, appearing just behind Roman as he rolled away from the bear. Using all her momentum and the weight of her ring blade, Mayet delivered a mighty vertical slash, starting at the bear's upper right chest and going all the way to the base of it's stomach before she rolled away in the opposite direction Roman did, using the momentum from her slash before swiftly getting up and dashing away from the bear, keeping a safe distance between her and the bear, waiting for a chance for another attack.
"Humanity takes great pride in three things. Their willpower, their greed and their mortality.
Their will and endless greed allows them to grow and accend past other creatures
But their mortality denies them divinity
It's a delightful purgatory between being Fallen and being Divine"
