Sophie & Caelan

Time: 9am
Location: Myriamor Bed and Breakfast
Interactions: @baraquiel Jomari, @Potter Rosaria, @13org Nuallán & @Mole Aurora

Sophie had slept in and groaned upon being woken up. It took her a moment of sitting up and processing her surroundings to realize the previous day had not been a dream. She stared at the city in amazement. It was something out of a movie. For a desert, the area seemed pretty rich with vegetation. She watched a waterfall on her right as they passed it and rubbed her eyes. ” This is… pretty.”She said softly and sleepily. She glanced at Rosaria as she spoke, wondering what demis were. However, she woke right up upon noticing pyramids. Were they in Egypt? No, they couldn’t be. There were floating pyramids too!

Caelan woke up to Rosaria’s voice instantly noticing the blistering heat of the desert sun. He wiped his face from the sweat that had gathered. Looking around he noticed the city he had found himself in. “Holy shit, this is amazing!” He exclaimed, waking up almost instantly from the excitement. The architecture of the city was almost like an evolved form of Egypt and the mist from the waterfalls around the area gave a cooling sensation on his skin, along with the lush vegetation of this oasis city. Caelan was completely awestruck by this place. He looked around more, noticing all the humanoid animals. “So these creatures are Demi-humans?” He questioned aloud before quickly getting distracted by the scenery once again.

Calean grabbed Sophie's hand without really thinking about it as they walked into the place “Isn’t this just the most beautiful place you ever saw?” he said quietly to Sophie.

Sophie’s gaze had followed Caelan’s once he had spoke of demi-humans. They looked like half animal half human people. She supposed their name made sense. She hadn’t noticed Caelan grabbing her hand initially, immediately answering him with, ”I think it might be… It’s like a tropical magical Egypt… How-...” She broke off as she became aware of the warmth over her hand. Her eyes slid to his hand on hers and her face turned as red as a tomato. She stared with wide eyes as she contemplated what she should do.

She did not really know him at all and he was just holding her hand as if they were a long-term couple. Sophie did not want to say anything and be rude but she was also reasonably flustered and confused. Finally, after a long time of internal panic, she whispered, ”Uh. Hi. I think you’re holding my hand.”

Caelan looked down, realizing what he was doing he let go,“I am sorry, I really didn’t mean to do that.” He whispered back just as flustered at what he was doing as she was. Moments later they sat down at a table. “The city really does live up to its name. This place almost leaves me speechless.” Caelan answered Nuallán.

Sophie picked up the menu and opened it, confused by a lot of the options. Rattlesnake soup… Camel meat kebabs… Insect bites?? ”I… I will just have eggs.”Sophie said. She yawned and laid her head down on the table. She was still so tired.

Caelan looked at the menu, surprised at what options it had he searched for a moment and decided “I will take this fruit bowl. It has many strange fruits in it and I would love to try them.”

Summary of Plot

In another dimension, the planet Earth is referred to as Avalia in a land full of many different races who all have their own rulers and mildly stick to themselves.

Long ago, humans had been allowed to visit Avalia through the use of dimensional rifts created by powerful elves. Humans from various time periods were able to be summoned and share their technological advances and ideas with Avalians.

Tales of the creatures of Avalia such as fairies and elves populated the stories of humans on Earth

Then one day, a subspecies of elf came, that being the dark elves, and they were shunned by the light elves for being different and being thought to be evil for using dark magic.

A war breaks out, about 1,200 years from the present day. The light elves able to summon humans are killed and elves with such skill no longer exist. The skill takes hundreds of years to master.

Dark elf king was killed in war, but his twin children escaped and the race was banished to the frigid and harsh north in Daka Island.

None of the other races did anything to stop any mistreatment of the dark elves. However, it was foretold by prophets that the dark elves will train and one day be able to conquer Avalia in the next war and take over new territories. Their vengeful spirit could mean slavery and misery for all of Avalia.

Years later, there's been unrest and fear of the dark elves rising so the light elves formulate a plan to summon humans once again now that enough time has passed for someone to learn to summon humans.

Humans, once in Avalia, possess very unique and very powerful magic, with each one possessing control over one element; water, wind, earth, fire, or electricity. Since light and dark neutralize each other, human’s magic holds the capability to stand up to the dark elves.

Dark elves catch wind of this plan and decide to make a move first, kidnapping the heirs/highly valuable person of each of the major races and, using magical technology, execute them in front of the entirety of Avalia the night before the summoning.

Dark elves plan an attack on the light elves the day of the summoning.

The humans are summoned in Sun Elf Kingdom and immediately leave with the two light elf princesses: Annya and Rosaria.

Light Elves summon humans secretly in other parts of Avalia as well.

Dark elves work with a demon named Vrexen to summon the seven sins, some of the strongest demons in the Abyss, to help hunt any who stand against the dark elves. Dark elves agree that they will help the demons build a place in Avalia for them outside of the Abyss.

The demihuman king is cowardly and submits to the leaders of the dark elves, who are a pair of twins referred to as the Twin-Headed Dragon. Roshmi is then conquered by the dark elves.

The dark elf army reaches Sun Elf Kingdom that day and they fight into the night.
They manage to destroy some supplies, but ultimately the light elves are victorious in protecting the kingdom.

The Twin-Headed Dragon

Time: 1 pm and onward
Location: Roshmi

Once the Amora had landed, guards surrounded the ship as the twins prepared to exit and make their way to the king. ”Make way,” Basilian commanded the soldiers. “If anyone has anything to say on our way there, they will be dealt with swiftly.” Amarantha followed closely behind her brother as she exited, a smirk on her face as she caught some confused and concerned looks from her brother’s words. Had they all become so used to a ruler who was so cowardly and relied on others for protection that the thought of a strong ruler that could defend themselves confused them so much? That was very amusing to the woman as she glanced over at Basilian.

”Oh come now brother, they’re only trying to do their job.” She said with a small laugh. ”Though I do suppose they would just get in the way if we did have to deal with someone. I wouldn’t want to have to accidentally kill someone who’s on our side.” She said with a sigh as she noticed some startled looks. Oh what poor fools.

The angered glances of demi-humans were plentiful as they continued up the main street. Faces emerged from windows and doors while mothers pulled their children in closer. A collective of incomprehensible whispering rushed through the air.“Fuck you! Roshmi should only have demi-human rulers!” shouted a male cow demi-human from the side of the street. "They are alone, let's kill them now!" The cow demi-human continued trying to gather an uprising to kill the twins.

”Yeah! That feline girl from earlier was right! The King did side with the dark elves! We can stop them here and now!” Some voices of agreement joined and some of the demi-humans began to band together with weapons while others did not hesitate to run from the scene in order to avoid the escalating tension.

Basilian glanced at his sister “Deal with the others if you like, but that cattle is mine.” He said, giving her a grim smile. Amarantha merely sighed as she nodded, looking to the group determined to kill them.

"Let's see...one, two, three….four of you and only one of me. What's a girl to do?" She counted, pointing at each one as she did so before tapping her lips with her finger. "I suppose I have no other choice…" Darkness erupted from her, quickly engulfing the four, blocking them from view. At first there were confused noises coming from within the darkness, but those noises quickly turned into screams of pain and horror. In moments the darkness dissipated and where had once stood four armed men now lay four horribly mutilated bodies.

Basilian looked at the bodies with a twisted smile. He turned to the wide-eyed and now silent crowd, gesturing toward them, “Anyone else care to try us?” He said, only to have the bull demi-human charge towards him a moment later with an axe. Basilian drew his sword drawing in shadows along the blade side stepping seconds before the horns gored him. He raised his sword bringing it down on the demi-human’s neck beheading him on the spot. The body bubbled with dark energy before bursting, spraying the area with organs and blood.

The others who were once ready to fight stared in shock at the scene before them backed down running or turning their heads to avoid making things worse. ”Well, it would seem they have lost interest in us, sister. I suppose we should continue on our way, we shouldn’t make this false king wait too long.” With that they proceeded to the Roshmi palace.

The twins met with the yellow-bellied king of the demi-human who was incredibly timid and wouldn’t barely look them in the eye. He was quick to turn everything over to them and scurry out of there, off to hide with his wife out of the way of the dark elves. Amarantha ordered for the princess to be brought before them only to discover she was missing. Enraged by this, she sent a small team to locate and bring her back. They were also informed of some in the city speaking out against them and encouraging others to put their faith in the humans the light elves had summoned, rumors of the princess even being one of them. The twins ordered that anyone heard speaking out against them to be arrested and brought before them immediately. Within hours there were three brought before them and they were swiftly executed. Their bodies were strung up in the most public areas and a decree placed that anyone who committed the same act as them would suffer the same fate. Anyone who tried to remove the bodies would also be executed. A reign of terror had begun in Roshmi and many fearfully retreated to their homes, leaving the streets rather bare with the exception of those brave enough to venture out.

What the twins once considered a minor threat was now becoming a nuisance they could not ignore for much longer. These humans needed to be dealt with and so another decree was placed. Anyone who captured and brought them a human would be rewarded handsomely. Amarantha requested them to be brought to her alive as she wished to do experiments on them, wanting to know more about their magic. Of course if the human proved to be difficult for the person to capture and died in the process they would accept that, but the reward would be significantly less. They broadcast this message in every city they could in hopes to get as many people hunting humans as possible.

Roshmi held the highest amount of helius and amoras and the twins weren’t about to let that go to waste. They ordered for these transport ships to be used in order to bring more of the dark elf army to the mainland quickly. The threat of the dark elves was growing rapidly.

Barboda nodded when Lizzie thanked him and turned as she addressed everyone. He had one or two nights when those in his bounty hunting guild had tried to have celebrations such as this, but he could never get into them. Tesoro announced he’d only be having water so Barboda added, “I need to keep my head straight as well. I apologize but I cannot intoxicate myself when traveling to such a dangerous area.” He said to Lizzie. ”Tesoro and I will keep watch while you four indulge yourselves. Though, I recommend not going over your limits.”

Barboda Teff

Time: Dusk
Location: The Ship - The Gun Deck

After he and Helio had explained as much of the world as they could to Lizzie, taking at least an hour to do so, they decided to head to the first and largest island of the dreaded isles, in search of the lost loot of the departed victims. It would also be less likely that light elf ships would take a route that went through that area, as it was highly known to be dangerous. Barboda aided in setting sail and then had been off to the side on his own the last few hours.

He took it upon himself as they neared the dreaded isles to start loading the cannons. He ascended the stairs into the second floor of the ship to load a cannonball in. Barboda repeated this until all the cannons were loaded and brought a barrel of cannonballs into the gun deck. Once he was finished, he walked up the stairs, he turned to look at Lizzie behind the wheel, “The cannons are loaded if anything comes like I said before there are stories of a large creature in these waters, best to be prepared.

Trolls

Time: 10 AM
Location: Jungle
Interactions: Annya @princess, Ismael @Th3King0fChaos, Saoirse @Potter, Kharne @Kazemitsu, Raven @Tae

The troll immediately dropped Annya after she imbued her armor with the light, only to look up to some shouting in the trees. It watched as two flaming knives flew at its face one of them going right through its eye. It yelled in pain, stumbling back as it was reaching for the knife in his eye. He yanked it out along with the eyeball still skewered on blade and threw it to the ground. The troll stood there trying to regenerate only to be kicked in the lower area. The force and intense shock of electricity surged through his body until his heart stopped causing it to drop to the ground dead. His body fell back to the ground with a thud and dispersing of dirt into the air.

The other troll continued to pound on the dragonborn only to be lifted of the ground by an intense force of wind; it flew backwards, unable to stop itself, only to slam into a large tree. A thick branch stuck out from the center of it’s chest, impaling it’s heart. The troll stood up, moving his body off the broken branch with a grunt of agony. It clearly assumed it could regenerate as it took a few steps towards the group before it too fell to the ground, still.

Caelan heard a calm voice in his ear letting him know she was going to protect him. He did not want to glance her way but managed to nod his thanks, catching her kind smile out of the corner of his eye. He forced a smile back. He was pretty terrified and focused on running. He could hear the creature slamming into trees behind them and his heart raced as he ran. He could feel Sophie clutching tightly to him and did not want to know the sight she saw.

Sophie had called out asking him to put her down and he replied hastily,“Uhhh I think it might be worse to risk stopping!” He would have to hesitate in order to drop her, or she would in order to bolt into a run and that would be enough to get snatched up. The loud sound of, buzzing behind him soon reached his ears and Caelan wondered what was going on back there, but did not bother looking back.

A new voice in the distance called, “Go princess, we will distract the creature!”
The sound of crunching and other horrible noises soon followed and Caelan felt a little sick inside.
He did not bother commenting and hoped Sophie had not seen too much. Once they finally got away from the creature, Caelan slowed and leaned his hands on his knees, letting Sophie slide down his back.

Rosaria told them the name of the creature was a Vuothoran, but they were out of its territory and safe. Apparently, Sophie had electrokinesis, which would explain the buzzing noises, but he had not gotten to see much of what had happened and he was disappointed. He listened to Nuallán as he started to talk to him and nodded in agreement. it was really starting to feel like he truly was in a game of Dungeons and Dragons at this point.
