My blade carries with it the harsh frost of the wintry winds. Dancing with the rage of a blizzard, its speed matches the transience of an icy petal.

Welcome traveler. I see you've stumbled upon my profile, nice to meet ya.

About Me
I'm just your average 9-5 schmuck. I do my work, pay my bills, and contribute what I can to society. I also happen to enjoy binge-watching/reading anime, manga/light novels, tv dramas, and pretty much anything that catches my interest. I'm also an avid gamer, my favorite genres tend to change with time. Right now it's probably JRPG, hack-slash, and fighting.

Roleplaying
I originally joined this site several years back, having gotten my feet wet only recently at that point as an RPer. I was recommended this site by a pal of mine (@PaulHaynek) and joined a couple of his RPs. However, due to RL stresses I had to take a break from the world of RPing and took sometime for self-reflection. After a 2 year absence, I'm back in saddle and ready to further stretch my creative muscles. As for what roleplays I like, I enjoy anything action-oriented. I'm fine with any settings for the most part, though I'm more inclined toward the magical and sci-fi. Also, I've gained a sort of preference for RPs that allow users to play as multiple characters, but solo is fine either way. Here's a list to give a better idea of my tastes.

- Fantasy/medieval
- Dystopian
- Steampunk
- Sci-fi
- Apocalypse/Post-Apocalyptic
- Generally anything anime/manga related
- Adventure and Combat oriented
- Romance here and there is fine too

That's all for now, reader. If you decide to post an interest check for an RP idea, you just might find me posting a character profile ready to be reviewed. Don't be afraid to give me a shout if you'd like a Co-DM to bounce ideas off of as well.

Until then.

Another rambunctious and unruly edition to the taskforce that's sure to cause headaches for Takeshi and Shizuka...

I mean, well met! Another brilliant and excellent member of the team! I like what I see so far.

Cogsfell Aftermath

Treading alongside Polina, how had the child in yow, the maid pair made their way toward the theater. Lucrecia would've further protested, but she knew there was simply no time for that. Upon arrival, the site before them was an expected one. The theater was hollowed out and desolate, with only the dead greeting them upon entering. However, the sound of peculiar verbosity and weaponry at work sound broke the silence.

Venturing a bit further in, the trio watched in surprise as the lone maid decimated the surrounding demons. Indeed, she wielded her steel gauntlet with rapacious effect, tearing a demon completely in half with little effort.

Finally noticing their presence, the pink haired maid turned to the group. With an awkward chuckle, she inquired into their arrival here.

"Mercy, Madonna, you indeed are correct - but it seems that it was largely unnecessary! Aa my comrade stated, the dance you put on was quite the show!"

She then made a polite curtsey. "My name is Lucrecia Cruz, one of the more recent additions to House Fiore, at your service. As for earlier, I don't believe I heard anything, save for the sounds of dying demons~" She mused. Lucrecia dawned a more expression after her introduction, however.

"Madonna, I may already know the answer to this, but are any other members of your squad still with us?"

@Polaris North @The Irish Tree NPC(s): Lapis

Lapis’s eyes narrowed at Shavis’s shrug and brief justification at Scarlett’s outburst, but ultimately her aim was to refocus the group on the task at hand. This was also cosigned by Hector, who suggested that perhaps consulting Researcher Naomi on the intricacies of the Makara would be a good idea. Much like Scarlett, Tilnak also left the group for a moment, apparently headed in the direction of Naomi’s office.

”Well, I know a little bit about the Makara, aquatic creatures are usually my specialty.” Lapis said with an air of confidence. They can be pretty ferocious as you can expect, they are predators after all. But, they usually don’t go near human settlements. Humans, thankfully, aren’t usually on the menu and they become cautious when seeing a bunch of them grouped up together in a living space. Despite their instincts, they can be very wary animals.” She crossed her arms, seeming to be lost in thought.

”I wouldn’t recommend going close up to one all alone though, not a good idea…” She said with a more serious expression on her face. ”Of course, they can manipulate water and some can even generate pulses of electrical energy for self defense and hunting prey.”

She then looked off in the direction Tilnak went off to. ”I guess Ms. Naomi could give some more insight into the Makara given the specific region. I feel there are more factors at play here.”

Lapis didn’t appreciate how Scarlett stated that beasts exist to be tamed by man, not being a fan of man’s constant need to rule over nature with an iron fist. But, she would keep that to herself for now.

@ReusableSword @Blaze Gamma NPC(s): Naomi

As the two Reavers met each other in the hallway, Tilnak’s knocking on the door was answered after a little bit. The person who opened the door was revealed to be a young woman with long pink hair and black clothing. Her white wings identified her Belua heritage. She wore a tepid expression on her face as she spun around her glowing fountain pen.

”Good Morning. I’m Naomi Schuller, researcher of Eon and budding environmentalist and expert of Magical Beast theory. I presume you’re here for guidance on the ZoHo Marsh excursion?” She spoke in a very rushed manner, apparently annoyed by the whole interaction. However, her demeanor did change somewhat upon further examining the two men in front of her. She immediately took notice of Tilnak’s feral features and her eyes widened a bit, such Belua are not common sights among the more urban societies. Not even in a place like Morgenröte, if she had the time later she’d definitely have some questions for him. She looked at Aldin for a moment, but instead of intrigue her expression was one of perplexity. Aldin certainly didn’t have the look of a magus, and his appearance made her at first think that he was serving as a hired mercenary or a guard for the tower.

”At any rate, I presume you have basic knowledge of the Makara species. Large and muscular, 6000 lbs bite force, and can control water and electric pulses in some instances. However, given the environment, the ones you’ll be encountering will have different behavior patterns. She continued, still futzing around with her pen. ”Due to the dense foliage around the Marshlands, very little sunlight reaches into the territory. As a result, this species is more suited to seeing in the dark than normal. In addition, they’ve also adopted a camouflage characteristic, their scales allowing them to better blend in with their surroundings.”

Finishing her explanation, she folded her arms and sighed. ”Am I able to assist you gentlemen with anything else? If not, I am quite the busy birdie and must return to my work.”

@Enkryption NPC(s): Kiff

”Pervert?” Kiff made a small chuckle at Scarlett’s insult. ”Miss, I assure you, I am a gentleman of the highest calibur.” He replied. As she explained her purpose for coming, he raised a brow as she went about the altercation she had with the ‘Blue Snake and Haughty Black Witch’. At that point, he broke out into a hardy laugh.

”I keep telling that pipsqueak to not be such a hardass, but he won’t listen to me! Oh! Please don’t tell him I called him that. I learned my lesson the last time. As for Roze, I’m certain you’ll come to find that she’s actually a very sweet gal.” Calming down, he leaned back in his chair a bit. ”It’s just that...her sweetness is often hidden away by her stoicness. I sincerely doubt you’ll be held here due to something that miniscule!” He sat forward, resting his chin on his clasped hands.

”They both mean well, and they definitely see and appreciate the potential you all bring, hell I do too! Well, maybe not Rue. I personally think the guy is an asshole on purpose because he gets off on it.”

”Forgive me, I digress. As for the Wetland mission, the bestiary section should have all the information you need. Though, Naomi may be of more help all things considered. She seems to think that the beasts may have different abilities and temperament due in part to environmental factors.” He said, rubbing his chin. ”I believe she mentioned something about camouflage and seeing well in the dark? I’m not sure. But, if there’s anything else I can help with, just say the word.”

Badland Heist

@Inertia @Silverstein @PaulHaynek @FrogRFlowR NPC(s): Evelyn

Evelyn made a small yelp as Leon bumped into her in the hall, but she was prevented from falling by a graceful save from the elf. Thanks in part to his future-sight, he was able to advert the whole situation.

”Oh! Um…Thank you.” She said, still a bit flustered. His next words, however, made her want to rescind her early gratitude. A blaring annoyance shone in her eyes and a large anger vein appeared on her forehead in response to Leon’s scolding. A half pint, just about as scrawny as she was, lecturing her. The nerve!

”Oh, shut it! I’ll be the saving grace of this mission, you’ll see!” She snapped back. Her attention immediately turned to Asterope, who had followed behind them along with Taltrus. She had made a remark about her earlier scene with Leon in jest, this served to further irritate the young witch.

”Us? Together? This deadpan boy who’s no bigger than me and has the looks of a scoundrel? HA! He wishes!”

”Now, now, let’s try to settle down.” Donovan intervened. ”Now then, Leon, I certainly hope your theory isn’t correct. It would truly be a shame if this was in part orchestrated by someone on the inside. I wonder why one of the workers there would even go through with such an action…” He adjusted his glasses, still pondering the situation.

”Well, we can theorize about it all we want, but the best way to get answers is to investigate the scene and get the best information from the workers there. Are you all set to go or is there anything else you need from me?” He looked at Asterope and Taltrus for a moment.

”Though, with Ms. Asterope and an esteemed member of the Olstelas family accompanying you, I doubt you’ll run into any real trouble.”

Necropolis

@Hammerman NPC(s): Rue, Roze, Johannes

”The main lab is on the south wing, go down that hall there. Can’t miss it, you’ll know by the smell.” Ruecian said, lazily waving them off as they made their way.

After a little bit of time, the two appeared in front of a peculiar door. It was completely out of place with its lavish surroundings, being covered in strange strains and rusted markings. As Ruecian had stated earlier, a pungent odor had also emanated from the entrance to the room. If one had to describe it: it would be the scent of burnt rubber, mildew, and cigarette smoke. Along with a bit of bourbon.

As they opened the door, the smell hit them full force and they were presented with what was supposed to be the main alchemy lab at the tower. One side of the room did have the look of a traditional lab, tables covered in beakers and test tubes. They contained various liquids and viscous substances, some being heated and chilled. The other side, however, was revealed by an ajar garage door. This part of the room contained numerous types of machines and gadgets scattered around everywhere. Along with them were countless cigar buds and a few bear cans. In the corner of the room sat a tan skinned older man wearing goggles. His greying hair showed his age. He appeared to be fiddling with something on a workbench, muttering to himself as he did.

His work was broken when the device literally blew up in his face, it created a small flash that lit up the room. The explosion nearly drowned out the yell the man had made, which was promptly followed by a swear. Lifting up his goggles, he shook the soot off of his head, then turned at the couple. Seemed he finally noticed their presence here.

”Eh? Oh, you kids must be the new guys! Name’s Johannes, what can I do for ya?”

Cogsfell Aftermath

As the girl came too, she nuzzled closer to Polina and told them that she remembered some of the maids fighting a horned demon. She then taught of her mother for a moment, her reaction had given away the fate of her parent. This made Lucrecia winced a bit, but she dashed away the thought. The dead remain as such and all one could do was honor their memory. Apparently, the fight had taken place at the old theater near where they were now. Lucrecia thought about the situation they found themselves in, then turned to Polina.

"Polina, if you would hear me for a moment. I believe it is best that you take the child away somewhere safe, and I'll deal with saving our comrades and the remaining demons. We cannot take the poor girl with us, and we can't leave the previous team alone in the teatro. Considering the circumstance, I believe this is our best option." She said, looking at the hesitant yet still rapacious gazes the demons were giving them.

Lucrecia, undaunted, readying her weapons for another confrontation. The chambers on her machetes made a clinking sound that echoed throughout the vicinity as she reloaded them. "Quickly, Madoona! We've don't have much time! Con Fretta!"

@PaulHaynek @The Irish Tree @Hammerman @Restalaan @Crowvette @Nakushita @Rezod92

It seemed Alice either didn’t hear Shizuka, or chose to ignore his words entirely. Unfortunate, as he really didn’t want to draw his sword so soon after a mission. Further adding to his annoyance, Liliana had made a repeat of the fiasco at the now destroyed shipyard. Another bovine had graced them with its presence. Thankfully, Shizuka barely needed to inch away to avoid getting flattened by the farm animal. Some of the other task members began to speak up, taking Shizuka’s side naturally. ”My apologies, I was assisting one of our new members on a mission we just got done with. We can talk about it more once I handle this, in the meantime I ask that no one else interfere.” He stated.

Unfazed by the fire magic she set on display, his eyes never lost sight of her even as she propelled herself high into the air. He heard her distinctly mutter the phrase “Heavenly Strike”. Did she have the ability to copy other people’s techniques? No matter, as that certainly wouldn’t be enough to give her an edge in this case.

Alice may have been looking at Shizuka from above right now, she would soon be looking at him at eye level. In the very instant she uttered the name of her attack, the swordsman had followed her into the air almost instantly. His expression was calm, yet was underlined with annoyance.

”Fubuki”

At that moment, Alice would find herself subjected to an icy barrage of slashes, so cold that it may have very well dispelled the trail of fire that followed her into the sky. Shizuka’s intention was to knock the mamono back without seriously hurting her. Hopefully the cuts received would be minor, along with feeling a bit of numbness.

The two sisters continued to watch the drama unfold; Atsuha took note that Takeshi had returned. Hopefully that meant that things with him and his native comrades went well.

”I feel this is all Gringor’s fault. It’s very rude to deny a girl's feelings in such a blunt way. Especially by saying something so hurtful on top of it. I think Shizuka should be attacking him instead!” Hinami said, showing a bit of concern for her hatter teammate.

”Love, I don’t really think that’s the point of the matter. Although, I am concerned that he may end up hurting the poor girl. Her demonic energy still hasn’t fully recovered yet, and I’m sure he can see that she’s injured.” Saying that, Atsuha knew that their captain was a sharp fellow, so all she could do was trust he would put a swift end to this before things got too out of hand.

Cogsfell Aftermath

Most of those contemptable mutts had fallen limp from Lucrecia's bullet storm, at this a small wave of relief fell over the maid. Even the larger demons began to slow their advance, seeming to understand that they were dealing with average dames. That's right bastardos, you're right to be scared! She silently exclaimed to herself. She was also glad to see the Polina wasn't slowed down in the slightest either, despite totting the child in her arms.

Speaking of, it seemed that the little one began coming to. As she did, she asked them if they were with the other maids. Could it be? Perhaps some members of the previous strike team made it after all.
Eon Tower - Mid Morning

It seemed that the magus made their respective choices, some opted to prepare by going to the library or consulting some of the tower’s staff. However, that was until one decided to voice her opinions on her superiors and to Evelyn. Scarlett was decidedly unimpressed by the veterans’ handling of Evelyn’s eagerness, using a few choice words to fully convey her feelings. Ruecian’s and Roze’s expressions did not change, at first, remaining neutral. Evelyn found herself unable to say anything, her lips twitching in frustration. At that point, Ruecian was the first to speak, his eyes now narrowed.

“Finished? I gotta say you surprised me, earlier you were like a little kitten. Scampering around on the side of the tower like a critter, it was cute, really.”

He chuckled lightly, wiping his nose with his thumb. “As for all that other crap you said, those are funny ways to describe common sense. Obviously she is, but she’s also a beginner who was invited here to hone her skills. A person who’s never even seen a monster has no business on that type of mission. She’ll be sent out there when we feel she’s damn well ready.”

Roze was the next to speak. “It appears that we agree on one thing, that the fact this mission was presented to us is a failure of administration. But perhaps you should question what administration is truly to blame. I will also say that while wanting to prove one’s self isn’t inherently bad, reckless abandon for the simple sake of delusions of grandeur is just stupidity. Perhaps you should learn to think before speaking.”

They both watched, unfazed, as Scarlett made her way toward the library where Leon had left for earlier.

Evelyn found herself speechless, having simply left the room in a quickened pace. She held her witch hat down to hide the frustration swelling on her face. She didn’t even respond to Talrus’s inquiry, brushing past him into the hallway.

”Evelyn-” Roze started, but Ruecian quickly interjected.

”Don’t worry too much about her, she’s always been the type to brush stuff like that off pretty quick. If need be, I can talk to her later. Besides, it’s looking like you and I will be needed out on the field.” Ruecian began to also take his leave; Roze looked at the recruits who took the Necropolis mission, then beckoned Lanus and Renee to follow.

The unexpected outburst aside, the group had made all their respective choices and were prepping to set out.

Whatever they decided on, hopefully their respective quests would go well…

@Polaris North @Enkryption @ReusableSword @The Irish Tree NPC(s): Lapis

Shavis, Scarlett, Tilnak, and Hector all volunteered to accompany Lapis on her quest to the ZoHo Marsh to address the Makara encroachment. However, Scarlett opted to make a trip to the library to study up on the nature of the creatures. The others could join her for a moment, or perhaps they’d rather pay a short visit to Researcher Naomi and benefit from her insight.

Lapis would watch Scarlett make her way out of the room, glaring at her with a sharp gaze. She then quickly turned to Shavis.

”Hey, what’s your friend’s problem?! Where does she get off talking to my Brother and Eve like that?! What was all that nonsense she was spouting?”

@Enkryption

Badland Heist

@Inertia @Silverstein @PaulHaynek @FrogRFlowR NPC(s): Evelyn

Taltrus, Leon, Einer, and Asterope had thrown in their hats to accompany Eve to the remote magictech factory. The young witch had already left the room and made her way down the hall. She was biting her lip under her hat, the earlier scene weighing on her mind.

”I’ll…I’ll show them. I’ll show them all!” It sounded as if she was ominously chanting to herself.

She was so absorbed in her thoughts, she didn’t even notice Leon in the hallway and inadvertently bumped into him. ”Geh! Wha- Oh, sorry…” The look of anger she had on her face was briefly visible to the estranged elf before it became more somber. She saw who she happened upon and decided it’d be best to veil her emotions.

”Goodness, young lady. It’s not good to be so turbulent before a mission.” Said a voice ahead of them. They would both turn to see a man dressed in a five thousand gold suit with a prosthetic hand walking toward them. He looked at Eve for a moment, being able to see the frustration she was attempting to hide. He then turned to Leon, ”Kiff told me that you’d be one of the ones taking the mission at the remote plant, so I thought I’d try to track you down before you left. Seems young Eve will be joining you as well.”

”Oh…you’re…Donovan, aren’t you?” Eve said.

”That’d be correct, young lady. Donovan Krausser, CEO and Chairman of Borealis Solutions, a pleasure.” He responded, holding out his hand for a shake. Evelyn returned the gesture. He then held his hand out to Leon; he’d continue his explanation whether the Fae accepted the shake or not.

”Allow me to continue. The plant in question belongs to a company by the name of Loghren Industries, an upcoming firm specializing in combat-based magical equipment. A few nights ago, their compound in the northeast highlands was broken into and several prototype weapons were stolen. These weapons specialize in absorbing raw mana; making use of this ability to cancel magical attacks and also add more power to their own. ” He made a heavy sigh. “These tools were made in a joint venture with my company, and the original intent was for them to give people more of an advantage against apparitions. The issues this would cause for the image of both their and my company aside, these weapons in the hands of criminals will pose an even greater danger to the general public. You all have my deepest gratitude for taking this mission and I wish you success in your endeavors.” He finished by making a polite bow.

”...Whether we succeed or not is not up for questioning. But, Mr. Donovan, if you don’t mind me asking, how did someone break into the compound and steal the items in the first place? One would think that such a location would have tight security in place to prevent such things.” Eve asked.

”Ah, that’s a good question. I’m afraid any input I have on that is purely based on conjecture. However, I can say that we’re obviously not dealing with low-level street thugs. The criminals who were able to break into the plant are professionals, perhaps even masters of their craft. They left no trail that would lead to their identity, and their break-in was nearly flawless. All I can suggest is that you lot be on your guard during the mission.”

Necropolis

@Blaze Gamma @Hammerman NPC(s): Rue, Roze

Lanus and Renee were led into the main lobby by Roze, afterwards meeting Ruecian there waiting for them. Aldin had opted to visit his mother in the infirmary before departing, once he finished his business they would soon head out.

Rue took a moment to address the Fae couple during their wait. ”I see the two of you have experience in dealing with monsters and the effects of miasma, so I’m not too surprised you decided to take this mission. Normally, it would’ve just been me or Roze tagging along with you on this little excursion, but since most of our manpower’s been divided among the other jobs…” He made a clicking sound, folding his arms. ”That swordsman’s visiting his mother, perhaps you’d do well to make any last minute preparations before we depart? Once we’re on the field, it’ll be too late.”

Terauchi Temple

"Humans...are odd creatures, Eula-san. We are often quite simple, yet very complex at the same time. All we can do is listen to the testimony of that young woman." He replied.

The trek back to the temple was, while uneventful, rather bittersweet. On one hand, they had taken out a brigand force that likely would've continued committing acts of murder and theft. On the other, they had added in the revenge of one would indirectly caused the death of their own family. Shizuka could understand Eula's bewilderment, the situation would stir complex emotions in anyone.

Upon their return, Shizuka noticed that the other taskforce members had also returned from their journeys. It seemed they were in high spirits for the most part, which did it's part in lifting his spirits. He also noticed some of the locals' reprehension to interact with them, being off-put by their conversations. It was to be expected, and he doubted they would be lifted anytime soon. The antics of the taskforce aside, he felt the tension in the chi of Gringor and Alice rising. He sighed to himself; it seems they still weren't getting along much. "Greetings. We've returned with some more prisoners, this time belonging to a local brigand force. They've of course been restrained, and we leave there fates in your hands." Shizuka said to the monks.

He'd probably have to deal with the other two, but before he could his attention was diverted by a villager man. He apparently wanted both him and Eula to come with him. Deciding to acquiesce, the two were eventually led to a cemetery of sorts. He brought them before one of the graves, and began his explanation. It seemed that this one belonged to Saki, the young woman who made the request. She made the decision to atone for her actions by taking her own life; while she could now longer answer their questions, her actions alone confirmed their suspicions. Ayu words of there being internal issues within these lands rang again in his ears. "I...I see. Thank you for telling us." He said. He turned to Eula for a moment, unsure of what to say to her. He could only imagine what must've been going through her mind currently.

Unfortunately, it seemed the other situation was escalating. "Eula-san, you'll have to excuse me. If you need someone to talk to, I'll make time later." He began walking away from the cemetery and back toward the rest of the taskforce. While walking, he eventually vanished from sight, leaving behind only a small wisp of dust.

@Restalaan(GRI)@Enkryption

As both mamono prepared to strike with the technique they had learned in their own ways, they would find that Shizuka had instantly appeared in between them.

"Infighting among taskforce members will not be tolerated. If you've disputes, take it up with me." He said in a solemn tone. He looked at both of the fighters for a moment, noticed the little bit of blood that was dripping from the high orc.

"Besides, neither of you look like you're in any condition to be fighting right now. Perhaps we could all talk this out in a more civilized manner?"

Terauchi Temple

Atsuha happily gobbled up the morsel Skarsneek presented to her, giggling as he planted a kiss on rice ball just before. The goblin had voiced apparent interest in the phasing ability that Sorae displayed back on their mission. She sighed, knowing that her sister wasn't the best suited to explaining these types of details.

"Saying that she becomes a ghost isn't the best way to describe it. It's more that she implores some method to make her body intangible. I know that come clans are able to implore various methods of sorcery to achieve supernatural feats, being that I'm from one myself. Though she initiated the technique with a stance and not using some sort of talisman like how I would. It's admittedly quite impres-" She cut her sentence short, taking note of the commotion along with Skarsneek. The conflict between the hatter and the high orc was brought to its head. "This hardly counts as dinner-side entertainment..." She groaned.

She then witnessed Shizuka appear before both of them in a flash, seemingly to put an end to the conflict.

"Hey Sis, Shizuka's finally back!" Hinami chirped.

"Well, if it isn't mister stick-up-the-ass himself. You certainly have a knack for showing up at the most convenient time."
