My blade carries with it the harsh frost of the wintry winds. Dancing with the rage of a blizzard, its speed matches the transience of an icy petal.

Welcome traveler. I see you've stumbled upon my profile, nice to meet ya.

About Me
I'm just your average 9-5 schmuck. I do my work, pay my bills, and contribute what I can to society. I also happen to enjoy binge-watching/reading anime, manga/light novels, tv dramas, and pretty much anything that catches my interest. I'm also an avid gamer, my favorite genres tend to change with time. Right now it's probably JRPG, hack-slash, and fighting.

Roleplaying
I originally joined this site several years back, having gotten my feet wet only recently at that point as an RPer. I was recommended this site by a pal of mine (@PaulHaynek) and joined a couple of his RPs. However, due to RL stresses I had to take a break from the world of RPing and took sometime for self-reflection. After a 2 year absence, I'm back in saddle and ready to further stretch my creative muscles. As for what roleplays I like, I enjoy anything action-oriented. I'm fine with any settings for the most part, though I'm more inclined toward the magical and sci-fi. Also, I've gained a sort of preference for RPs that allow users to play as multiple characters, but solo is fine either way. Here's a list to give a better idea of my tastes.

- Fantasy/medieval
- Dystopian
- Steampunk
- Sci-fi
- Apocalypse/Post-Apocalyptic
- Generally anything anime/manga related
- Adventure and Combat oriented
- Romance here and there is fine too

That's all for now, reader. If you decide to post an interest check for an RP idea, you just might find me posting a character profile ready to be reviewed. Don't be afraid to give me a shout if you'd like a Co-DM to bounce ideas off of as well.

Until then.

Kozukata Cemetery

The sisters gave but a wave of greeting to their new gremlin ally, their attention already arrested by Hinami's faltering condition. With Lunatea also joining them, Takeshi lead the way as the group made their way to find Yurine, the death keeper. Atsuha listened to the young lord as he gave a brief backstory of his supposed caretaker. Atsuha winced a bit when he stated that she guards the graves, preventing enemies from defiling them for their own purposes. Presuming the obvious - that she hated monsters - what would she think when she heard the sisters' tale? Two formerly human sisters who were turned into monsters due to the effects of forbidden Onmyōdō techniques. She may feel even less inclined to help them.

But, Atsuha wouldn't give up now. She couldn't; she'd die before that point.

Upon arriving at the cemetery, the sisters already felt the magic imbued in the thick fog. Whatever this Yurine is like in person, she must be a powerful spellcaster. "Never mind the lack of sight. Something about this fog is making chi-reading more of a chore than it needs to be." Atsuha groaned. "Nee-san. I-I don't like it here..." Said Hinami rather sheepishly. She was holding her head and looked somewhat morbid. "It...It hurts..." Atsuha looked at her sibling with high concern and held her shoulders. At this point, the mark on her head began to glow faintly, signifying it was trying to hold chi at bay.

Takeshi suggested that splitting up to cover more ground would help them find the Death Keeper faster. "Out of the question. Sorry, Takeshi-san." She replied to the young lord sternly. "That's not acceptable currently."

Luna offered to attempt to blow away the fog with her wind magic, while Skarsneek suggested they travel together in a formation of sorts."Luna-chan." She said. "I'm fairly confident that this isn't normal fog, I doubt a simple spell will be enough to get rid of it. If we combined our magics into some of my dispel talismans it might work." She looked at the ofuda in her pouch, then looked at Hinami. "But perhaps the one who made this fog wouldn't much appreciate it if we just up and got rid of it. It may be best for us to follow Skarsneek's lead and form up."

Hinami tried to keep up with the party at a labored pace. "N-no. D-Don't want to be...alone..." She uttered.

"But, Skars-kun, I insist that I stay with Hinami. It's complicated... But just trust me." She said to her lover with a sober smile. "I'll still cover the rear, but you stay in front of us and behind Luna. Please understand." As she began making silk and placing on the ground behind them, she hoped her lover would understand her feelings.

Cogsfell Aftermath

"I'm afraid it will have to wait till next, Madonna!" She quickly retorted to Lyssa. Merda, what is with this girl...?

Running to catch up beside Polina, Lucrecia held Lyssa with one arm while the other held her firearm. She fired at any lesser devils that felt brave enough to try and halt their advance. She couldn't much aside from barely avoid the debris falling around them, thankfully Polina with her abilities had them covered for the most part. But as the building began caving in around them, so did the futility of the effort.

There was no time to lament or think about other options, the only thing they could do was make a break for the exit and pray for the best. Holding on to Lyssa as tightly as she could, Lucrecia put her toned legs to work and ran as fast as humanly possible. Deftly dodging falling chunks of rubble, she could just see the entrance. Just a little more and they'd be home free!

Cogsfell Aftermath

The odd were quickly stacking against them as the demon horde overran them. Polina cosigned Lucrecia's earlier declare, it was time to bid farewell to the theater. She had hoped that the opening she tried to make would be enough to secure them a way to break through. But the number of enemies kept increasing, and the window slimmed. The headless furnace fired off a stream of fire aimed at Polina; Lucrecia called out to her in hopes that she'd and the little girl would be able to evade.

Meanwhile, Lyssa still seemed to be having fun slaughtering whatever encroached upon her. However, that was until a larger demon struck her with a heavy blow. Lyssa was slammed into a nearby wall, with the impact revealing the weakened integrity of the establishment. Before she could react, another demon had tackled her from the back head first. The impact sent her forward a bit, also tearing off a part of her top clothing and revealing a part of her back - along with a burn mark from the wound. To repay the interloper, she gave it a swift kick to the chin along with a flurry of knives into its face.

"Already on it!" She quickly responded to her comrade. Before the cretin could close in on Lyssa, Lucrecia unleashed a storm of knives and bullets upon it. Hopefully that would at least slow it down. Making her way where Lyssa was sent flying, she checked to make sure she wasn't injured to heavily. After confirmed she was still in one piece, she would promptly help her up and take the both of them to the nearest exit. "I've got you, Madonna. It's time to leave!" She said to Lyssa, using herself as a crutch as she made her escape with the instructor's daughter.
@Xaltwind

It may seem like a small point, but it does carry a narrative importance. Hinami (the Jiangshi) no longer has the talisman on her head, it being replaced by a tattoo-esque seal her sister placed on her forehead. As for how effective this will be in keeping her in check...

This will be quite relevant soon, so just thought I'd clarify. 😏

@Enkryption@Polaris North@ReusableSword@The Irish TreeNPC(s): Lapis

Lapis stood by and listened as her allies gave a brief description of their abilities, and it was fortunate that they also were in agreement that it’d be better to complete the mission without harming as many of the creatures as possible. That made Lapis feel a little better, though she still had her concerns about Scarlett, who didn’t seem to share their sentiment.

”I’ll trust that the information that Mr. Tilnak and Scarlett will be enough to go off for the mission.” She replied.

”Oh, both of you are Invokers as well? Guess that makes three of us then!”” Lapis said in a more cheerful tone. ”My Galdr familiar is Hachigan, as you’ve already met. I’m also an Elementist like you Shavis, but I use water and ice magic. If we get creative, we may be able to make some nice combination attacks!”

She looked at Herne for a moment, seeing him slither on Hector’s rifle and stare at them.

"Aww, I think Herne is very cute~ I can sense that he’s an invaluable partner to you. You must’ve been through countless battles together! And I naturally identify with him."

Pausing for a moment, she held both her hands to her chest, just over her heart. ”Actually, I’m also an esper. Specifically, I specialize in sensing the feelings of aquatic creatures and the environment around them. It’s…mainly why I want to go on this mission. I want to help them. You understand, right Shavis?”

–

Naomi, along with Aldin, heard the rather loud explosion that came from further down the hall, going into the other wing. Aldin decided that it was worth investigating, and departed in that direction. ”I wouldn’t worry too much about that, it’s probably just old man Johan blowing more things up. But, if you want your nostrils to be assaulted, be my guest…” She tried to warn.

As he left, she turned her attention back to Tilnak, who began making another message from the dirt he was manipulating. It was peculiar to her that he kept communicating in that way, but she just supposed he wasn’t comfortable with speaking. The message roughly read “Nesting Grounds”, she understood that he was asking in reference to the Makara.

”Well, in that region, their nesting grounds are very out of the way. Especially in relation to the local villages, they’re deep with the south bog and are surrounded by large trees. It gets very foggy there as well, so look out for that.”

With that, she began walking back into her office. ”I’ve provided what information I can give you, so hopefully this mission will be a smooth one. I…guess you can reach out to me in case you’ve any more questions. But, right now I’m quite busy. So, happy hunting.”

–

Kiff rubbed his chin for a moment before answering Scarlett’s sudden question.

”Well, we actually have a couple of alchemists here at the Tower. One of them you already met, the headmaster Arteus. Should be no surprise, since he’s mastered all divinations, heh. But, he’s probably busy so he’s out. The next is old man Childes, he’s a kooky old vet who spends most of his time at the arms factory. But, he also happens to have a keen knowledge in alchemic theory. He’s pretty friendly too, so long as he’s sober. ” He paused again, appearing to be in thought again.

”There’s also Elaine, the chief medical officer. Her level of alchemic knowledge had led to some breakthroughs in the pharmaceutical field. Though, I’m not sure if that’s what you're looking for. Then lastly there’s… ” This time, his expression was that of reservation. ”A woman named Nadia serves a galdr advisor here at the Tower. But, do know that she was also an accredited scholar in that field before joining the Tower. Just know that she can be somewhat…eccentric. Then again, so are you, so you two might get along, hehe” He said in jest. ”Oh, I almost forgot about Bellum. She mainly serves as the dietary manager for Eon. Her alchemy is mainly for agriculture and cooking, so I don’t know how much that’ll help you. But, just thought I’d throw it out there”

”Whichever one you seek out, I’m sure they’ll be able to aid in you some way or another.”

@PaulHaynek@Silverstein@FrogRFlowRNPC(s): Evelyn

”Ability to be subtle? What does that mean?! Hey, are you listening? Don’t ignore me!” it seemed that Leon had zero interest in Eve’s retorts and insults aimed at him. Instead, he and Einer inquired about the plant’s entry points and key personnel on site.

Donovan reached into his inner suit pocket, pulling out a folded parchment of sorts. He then handed it to Leon. ”Here you are. That contains a detailed schematic of the entire compound. I figured that you’d need it, so I had them print it in advance. As for persons of interest, the plant director Josef naturally comes to mind. Talk to him and I’m sure he can give you all the details you need. Good luck on your journey” He said, chuckling a bit at Evelyn’s unrequited raving at the elf rogue.

–

The party’s journey to the roughland area took some time, as by the time they arrived it was roughly midday. They traveled by a magic-powered vehicle of sorts that were standard among the higher echelon of the Association sect. They eventually arrived in front of said industrial complex. As they viewed it, the repairs being made on it were clear signs of a skirmish. Making their way to the main entrance, they were greeted by two guards stationed at doors.

”Ah, you must be the team sent by the Tower. Thank you for coming; you’re not catching us at our best as you’re seeing…” He said in a somber tone. [”Josef has already prepared to meet with you, you’ll find him in his office. Go ahead inside.”[ e said, motioning them into the entrance.

Upon going inside the compound, the group would see several personnel at work. Some were scurrying on the upper floor, yelling various things at one another. Others were working in front of generators and machinery in the factory. Carrying repair tools and various materials, everyone seemed to be in a frantic state since the raid.

Walking toward the director’s office, someone part of the group who had a keen sense of their surroundings may notice a worker watching them from afar. They hid behind a steel pillar, attempting to mask their presence. ”Shit, they’re already here. I told them they needed to hurry the hell up! The whole operation’ll be a bust at this rate… ” They whined to themselves. They squinted to get a better look at the party. Well, maybe not. The two half pints don’t look like they’re much of a threat. Although, I’m worried about those chicks. Especially the taller one… ” The snooper was broken out of their thoughts, suddenly, by an arm on their shoulder.

”Hey, what are you doing?! Mikhal said they need all able hands to help repair the filter on the upper floor!” Said the senior employee.

”Oh! Sorry, just felt a little light headed with all the fumes. I’ll be up in a jiffy!” They replied.

Upon arriving at the director’s office, the group would see a young looking man with blonde hair and green eyes sitting at his desk talking with another one of the workers. They both looked very stressed and flustered.

“Boss, this isn’t good. Nolant’s already backed out of the venture, and if this leaks out to the media we’re as good as done. Even Mr. Donovan won’t -”

”Let’s not think about that right now!” The blonde man quickly cut him off ”Just focus on factory repairs and keeping this confidential. The reaver team will handle the stolen goods and take care of everything else.” He noticed that the group had arrived, a sigh of relief had let loose from his mouth as he motioned for the worker to leave the room.

”Thank the Scions you’re here! Name’s Josef, I’m sure Donovan’s told you about me. You guys want any coffee?” He said.

”You already know our situation, so we’ll skip that part. Right now we’ve been so focused on repairing the plant and keeping this out of the public eye, we haven’t had time for much else. I can tell you by the entry points and guard casualties, this was done by a team of professionals. Since no word has gotten out about the prototype weapons they stole, we’re thinking they’re current base of operations is some within the outer badlands At least, we hope… He said, wiping a bit of sweat off his face

”They’ll probably plotting their next move, at least that’s the only reason I can think of as to why they’ve been quiet for the past few days…

@Blaze Gamma@HammermanNPC(s): Ruecian, Rozemyme

”Huh? Transhomn berries and Milkuree roots? Not sure what the hell those are, but yeah I got some transmutation fluid here somewhere.” Responded the old engineer. Getting up and wiping away the last bit of soot stuck on his face, he started to look around in a few cabins for a moment, rummaging through several piles of junk.

As Childes searched his shop, the door suddenly swung open, revealing Aldin who arrived from Naomi’s office. It appeared that he came simply to inspect the explosion that had occurred earlier. After confirming that everything was in order, he politely excused himself. Though, the squint on his face he made showed that the stench of the room did not go unnoticed. ”I guess that fella was one of your new party members? He looks more like a roughneck than a magician. Then again, so do I, hahaha!” He said with a hardy laugh. “Guess my little project spooked ‘em”

After reaching into a large tool case, Johannes pulled out a bottle containing a reddish liquid. ”Ah, there ya go!” He said, handing the solution over to Renee

Transutation Fluid x1

”Since you guys are just starting out, consider this one on the house! But, just remember moving forward that transmutation fluid don’t grow on trees. If ya need anything else, just give ol’ Johan a holler! Unless you two need somethin’ else, it’s back to the drawing board for me. Hopefully, that doesn’t blow up in my face too…”

Terauchi Temple
@PaulHaynek @Restalaan(Skars) @Hammerman @Nakushita

The Hangai sisters we're up bright and early, after freshening up they had a nice breakfast to start the day. However, Atsuha that something was off about her sibling. She didn't eat as much as she normally does, and she was rather restless. Of course, Hinami assured her that she was fine when pressed on the matter. But, of course, she could hide anything from her older sister.

"...The seal. It's weakening." Atsuha said plainly.

"Sister, what are we to do? I don't want...I can't go back to being that again...!" Hinami sounded as if she was going to break down. "Everything will be fine, I already told you!" She said, quickly trying to calm her down. "I'll die before I let you lose yourself."

That was easier said than done. As she already knew the moment she imbued it that night, the seal placed on Hinami was just putting a band-aid on the wound. Several thoughts were spiraling in her mind at this moment, until one stuck out. Yurine, the Death Keeper! It was just a loose hunch at best, but based on what Lord Takeshi informed them of she may now how to quell raging souls. Atsuha noticed that Skarsneek was standing at the main plaza, waiting on the sisters. Her numerous legs running up to him, she quickly grabbed him by the arm. "Come with me, lover!" She said, practically pulling him off his feet.

She saw that the young lord was taking with a monk, overlooking the nearby springs. "Not thinking of taking a dip this early, are you my lord?" She said, greeting Takeshi. "Takeshi-san, I request your aid. For...reasons, my sister and I wish to seek out Yurine the Death Keeper. Would you be so kind as to lend us your guidance on the journey?" She then looked at the goblin she had dangling at her side.

"Oh, and Skars-kun will be coming along with us as well."

Training Space
@PaulHaynek @Enkryption @The Irish Tree (Lili) @Restalaan (Gringor) @Crowvette @Rezod92

Off deeper within the temple grounds laid a distorted space. Appearing as a large, pale orb of haze, the inside was completely separated from the rest of the world. There, a decent number of the taskforce members where in training, being led by their captain.

Cogsfell Aftermath

"It's a pleasure, Lyssa. Honestly, all this talk of pastries and sweets. Perhaps we should endeavor to settle for more...healthier options?" Replied Lucrecia.

She mentally grimaced as the fellow servant stated that no one from her squadron has appeared to meet her at the church. At this point, Lucrecia felt it was safe to presume the worst. Polina seemed to be in agreement. Their pleasantries were cut short, though, as more hordes of demons began swarming them. Never a dull moment!

A humanoid creature made a beeline for Lucrecia, snarling and flailing as it desperately attempted to slash at her. All it got was a swift kick to the lower jaw for its trouble, being sent up into the air a little ways with some teeth raining down from where it was launched. Two more attempted to close in to avenge their kin. Lucrecia did a one-handed handstand and used both legs to kick at them, knocking them back as well. She then began to perform a spin motion, and using her free hand she let loose with another salvo of gunfire. The bullets butchered a number of the hellhounds coming there way, in addition to the two humanoid types she'd kick before.

As the first demon began falling back down, Lucrecia flipped up off her hand and stuck a couple of knives in its head to completely silence it. While her efforts gave her companions a bit of more breathing room, they would soon have none if they stayed.

"Ladies! I believe it's time to leave. Veloce!"
I've went ahead and updated the Character tab. It now has a proper job board, currency amount, and facilities levels. Gold will function how you'll expect it, and can be obtained from completing quests. It can also be obtained in other ways that will be revealed in time. The facilities provide different utilizes for you all (strengthening spells, making new items, buying various equipment, etc.) and can be leveled up as the plot progresses. The higher the level, the more utility will be available to you.

Let us know if you have any questions, of course.
@Xaltwind

I like her. There are many benefits to having an ally who's more technologically-inclined than others.
