Current Tsukimichi Moonlit Fantasy has an ordinary-looking MC that to the world he'd been Isekai'd to, the humans find him incredibly ugly.

Heaven has exactly one lawyer, but don't tell anyone. Mary Todd's still looking for him.

Woke up Christmas night and there was Santa glaring at me from the door. At least I think it was Santa. We had a marine neighbor, or maybe it was dad? Only neither one had a beard.

Bio

I am a seven-foot tall minecraft-playing hindu guru drag-queen alien.

Possessor of an Ancient Device™ Model 17. No, I don't know what it does. No, you can't play with it.

Pronouns: It. As in: "What is it? What does it want? Why is it here? Oh my god, it's got my... <insert random body part or object here>"

Likes: World Domination, Writing, Rpg, scifi/fantasy, anime, sketchup 3d models, and anime music videos.

Companions: a host of characters from other games, my personal muse Penny (as in Bad), and the Badger gang - Toothpick, Buttons, Shark, and Mongo. They grew up in the balcony of an old theatre that played a lot of gangster movies. Normally benign, but may invade the OOC forums.

That is similar! What's the name of the book. It sounds really interesting.

Barbara Hambly's The Time of the Dark. It's an interesting read.

She also does a good vampire novel, Those Who Hunt by Night - Victorian London, a college professor who used to work in India as part of her Majesty's Secret Service comes home to find his house dark except for his study. His pistol is in his desk in the study, only when he sneaks up the servant stairs, he finds his wife unconscious and his gun neatly disassembled.

His visitor is a vampire who has a problem. Someone has been going around killing the vampires of London - but it can only be another vampire, few humans know about them - and usually very briefly. Since the vampire can't trust them, he needs to bring in an outsider.

I'd like to try for one of the five spots. I've got a character mostly completed, but sometimes I think of a better one afterward.
Reminds me of the start of this book.

This college student is dreaming about this ancient medieval city - it's night and everyone around her is in a panic as something is banging on the other side of these huge metal doors. People stream by without seeing her. Then these guards dressed in black appear, swords drawn, followed by this old man clearly respected by the guards. And as his eyes sweep across the crowd, he locks eyes with her and can clearly see her. He sheaths his sword and starts saying something as he approaches, trying to keep her calm - and she wakes up.

The stones under her are cold and people are panicking at this young woman wearing a cowboy shirt who just suddenly appeared in front of them, and she looks up at the old man and asks, "This isn't a dream, is it?"

She returns to the dream, and returns a couple of times.

Once she's just running over some rocks, being chased by something and knowing if she trips, she's dead. Only when she does trip, she wakes up in bed - but her feet are hurting. They're all cut up by the rocks.

The next night, she wakes up, believing she forgot to lock the front door. Only what she finds is the wizard from the first dream sitting in her kitchen.
“Yeah, I'm in a real military now, huh..?” The Anhur took a slow breath as she breathed deeply, her tail flicking softly behind her. Mnn. She wanted to let her tail free, but she'd been scolded for her loose fur getting in the machines, before. It flicked back and forth, agitated by the confines of her suit.

"Yeah," John replied, taking in Lay’arra's appearance, then offering his hand in a handshake. "Welcome aboard. I'm John Tyrell, but my callsign is 'Blackjack'. Mine's that unit over there."

He pointed to his Zacarias-Geiger unit. "Probably the most unimpressive machine in here. That's the army, no thrills."

"So, which one do you pilot?"
Here's a legit question for all, well most.

How tall is your character?
I've got the heights of a few people from their CS but there are others who didn't mention it and I'd like to know if Iris is going to be looking straight on, down, or up at your character lol

Let's call it 5' 9" in his compressed form.
@Expendable Ryū rolls her eyes, "Wuss".

Qaymu: Keep your paws off my Amish, Ryū.
Jeez, you're all so sad! Everyones just SAD!
Velvet's sad, Suzy's sad, Theria's sad that Suzy's sad, Qaymu's sad, Iris is sad, Max is... Well, Max is always sad, but in a different way. Ya'll sad!

Why can't you guys be more like Ryu and ENJOY life? You know, sleep for a few centuries, gobble up some knights, roast some village(r)s, use a volcano as your toilet. You know? Carefree and stronk liek ox!

... Also, just outta curiosity, do you folks prefer horse skewers, or horse haunches? Asking for a friend.

Eat humans? This isn't the 16th century anymore! They're so bloated with fats and toxins, they're disgusting. Haven't you heard what happened to Nessie? About the only decent ones out there are the true vegetarians. You gotta eat organic if you want to make it to the next millennium.
looks fun.
Seeing as how in Alphonse's lore I had Death create the Mothmen, I think it's a very normal thing for Death to be an NPC in this. And Alphonse would definitely be very well acquainted with Death. Maybe even friends.

Yup, it would be shocking if Alphonse couldn't see him.

So, what does one give Death on their birthday? Does Death have hobbies?
