You ever realize that you haven't changed your status in months, go back to change it, and then wonder what the *fuck* your previous status was even talking about?

No, no, they clearly are referring to Ohio -- which Georgia is geographically south of, so the theory is still sound.

Sorry it took so long!~

I'm totally up for this! Will work on a bio tomorrow, hopefully have it up then.

Question about combat, though. You mention how rolling goes if someone opts to dodge, but what if you're trying to block head on with your own power? Does that roll Str/Int instead of Dex or something? Or is blocking just not a thing?
Wooooah. This looks really cool and unique. I'll probably be pretty busy over the next couple of weeks (summer school is kicking my ass) but I'd love to jump on board this while I can anyway! Screw your plans, future me, I wanna be an animu psyker~

Looking forward to writing with you!

Asuka gave a sardonic half-smile. She considered herself to be something of a social expert, too, and as such was fairly confident that she'd understood the meaning behind Kasuke's words. If Fumika really had been spreading rumors about her, Mina's response was definitely a good sign, since she seemed to be taking what preconceptions she did have with a grain of salt. That made things easier. If that was the case, then no matter what her sister had said, this was one person, at least, who'd at least give her the time of day. Perhaps she'd be able to talk to someone here without things turning immediately sour, after all.

"Who said I wasn't getting anything in return?" She smiled back calmly. "Although we're not exactly close, Harukaze-san is putting me up - not to mention putting up with me - while I'm here visiting my sister." She said it half-jokingly, hoping to lighten the mood from Kasuke's unexpectedly sour reaction to the mention of her friend. That much didn't make sense to her. After all, there was no way Fumika would slander the name of the girl who'd saved her life... was there? No, Asuka couldn't believe that her sister would be so petty... And yet, it certainly seemed as if people were reacting strangely to the mention of her. Could it really have only been because of the argument that had resulted from their last visit?

"Besides, both my sister and I owe her a lot. If I couldn't be arsed to help her out when she needs it, then by that same logic, I wouldn't be a terribly good friend myself. And as far as favors go, telling someone sorry isn't exactly too much to ask, y'know?" She gave a slight shrug. "Whatever. Not like it matters, anyhow, since that Jett guy didn't want me playing middleman either. My job's done, either way."

She was just about to turn and head into the dorm when another voice suddenly reached her ears, and she started slightly, immediately turning around. They hadn't spoken much, but the only person who'd address her in such a familiar manner had to be...!

It was. Yoshida Kenichi came trotting into view. Asuka made sure to seem surprised by this, and thankfully didn't have to try very hard, since she hadn't really been expecting to be accosted by someone so suddenly, especially not after the deduction she'd just made.

"Ah, Yoshida-san, right? Nice to see you again!" She greeted cheerfully. There wasn't any point in going full-on Gal Mode - if she was too cute, after all, he'd just fall for her, which would only get in the way of her plans for him and her sister - but on the other hand, she hadn't exactly greeted him very warmly last time, and she definitely needed to undo that first impression.

Almost immediately, he inquired after Fumika. She smiled slightly, glad to see things were proceeding according to her expectations, and was about to answer, but something about the whole situation felt... off, somehow. Asuka wasn't quite as good at this sort of thing as her sister, since she couldn't literally see through people with the same ease... but she liked to think of herself as a pretty good detective, and she had to say, his body language was way different from how it had been before. He seemed to be making each motion oddly deliberate, as if trying to avoid straining himself... And it was definitely unusual for somebody so active to seem so out of breath unless he'd sprinted the whole way. Was he injured? Almost immediately, she couldn't help but tie that conclusion together with his very vague excuse, saying he'd been away on "personal business..." There was definitely something fishy going on, but it wasn't like he'd tell her if she just asked about it up front... Still, it was a tad unsettling. Was Fumika involved somehow? Was that why he was worried about her? She made a mental note to keep on eye on him, but decided she'd pretend not to notice for now.

"Well, Kasuke thinks she's probably still here in the dorms, but I was going to visit her myself so we could plan some outings this week before Harukaze and I head back. If you want to see her, why not wait here? I'll text her and ask her to come down." She gave an apologetic smile as an aside to Mina, who had doubtless already seen through her transparent excuse for starting the conversation in the first place, but whose offer to help her find her sister she did not wish to devalue.

Taking out her phone, she began tapping dexterously away at the screen, shooting off a message even as she spoke.

Hey. Sis. You're in your dorm, right? Come downstairs. Harukaze will be here in a sec, and a friend of yours wants to talk.

Haruka was silent for a moment, then slowly, hesitantly, she reached out a small, white hand, and took the hand that was offered to her. Her artificial leg wobbled slightly, the joints giving a dull, hollow clatter as she planted her crutch to support herself and, after a moment longer, released Jett's hand with a faint blush.

The wind rustled through the leaves of the hedge, and Haruka's dark hair fluttered back from over her eyes, revealing two amber orbs fixed gloomily on the stones of the path on which she stood. Her face had never been terribly striking, or overly pretty. A high brow and prominent cheekbones had always seemed to dramatically overshadow her deeply set eyes, yet now, even in the light, the dark, baggy circles underneath them remained. Their whites seemed rimmed with red, denied of sleep, and her once round, childishly ruddy cheeks had lost much of their fullness and color.

She was silent, not knowing how to respond. Jett's simple words still seemed to ring in her ears, accusing her of the greatest crime she could possibly commit toward their friendship. He didn't understand her reasons, still? Even after what she had said during their argument before? Did he just not want to know the truth, not want to believe that she could really be so petty? And yet, he deserved to know. She had no choice but to tell him, no matter how much she wanted to hide it. So why? Why wouldn't the words come out?

"...If I had told you, what would you have done?" She asked quietly. She couldn't say it. She couldn't say it at all. How could she honestly tell him that she just hadn't wanted to be pitied? How could she tell him that she had wanted him, at least, to admire her like he had used to? Anything would be better than that. She'd lie. It was the stupidest, most audacious, most high-minded lie she could think of, and to say it made her sick, but she said it nonetheless. "You'd have come running, right? You would have done anything you could to help. That's how you always were, even when it was none of your business." What was she saying? This wasn't... This wasn't it at all. "I didn't want to waste your time. Not when you needed to practice and work hard to become a hero. If I'd told you what had happened... If you knew, it would only have been a distraction, right?"

She lowered her head. How could she possibly look him in the eye and claim that her own self-gratification had been meant for his good? That she'd been thinking of him all along, when she'd only been thinking of herself? Disgusting. She was so disgusting. He'd been so devastated when he saw her, had only wanted to help... He was still just as stupidly nice to her as ever, and she was going to brush all that off? She didn't even deserve his pity! And yet, he was still looking at her with those eyes... those damned sad eyes, pitying her like that when he should have been disgusted.

"So that's... that's..." She faltered. The lies in her throat warred with the guilt in her heart, and were defeated. "...That's not it at all." She said at last, raising her head. "I can't. It's too stupid. I can't say it after all. We both know I'm not that kind of selfless person." She took a deep breath. "...The truth is, I knew you'd come running... but I was only thinking of myself. Because I knew... Because I knew that if you found out what had happened, if you found out that I couldn't do anything anymore, you'd feel sorry for me...!" She bit down hard on her lip. Her voice was trying to crack, but she wouldn't let it. She wouldn't cry in front of him. Not again. Please, not again.

"It's stupid, right? I mean, what have I got to be proud of? I never did any good for anyone, and now I never can. And because I was selfish, I made you worry, and... and... It's all just so stupid that I want to laugh." She forced herself to smile, but it was utterly mirthless. Haruka neither looked nor sounded like laughing was something she was even capable of doing.

By the time she'd gotten to the end of her little spiel and had begun smiling and nodding cheerfully at Kasuke-san's generous offer to help her out, Asuka was fairly confident she'd done a pretty good job of acting natural. To be sure, it wasn't exactly easy to just casually introduce something so heavy - especially not after the very loud, very awkward, and very public yelling match she'd unfortunately been privy to - but nevertheless, she'd done it, and, if she dared flatter herself with her own judgement on the matter, she'd done it very well. She had been cordial, tactful, and most importantly, irresistibly cute. Even if they resented being put on the spot, there was no way that they'd-

Unfortunately, Asuka's moment of self-congratulation came to an abrupt and very rude end at that exact moment, as the menacing, cloak-wearing girl dismissed her with the utmost rudeness. It was obvious, then, that at least one of her prospective dupes had seen through her, and realized that her cheerfulness was just an act to conceal a much deeper awkwardness at the sensitivity of the subject she had so suddenly broached. Nevertheless, she couldn't lend any credence to her words. Were it a matter so simple as just "saying it to his face," then Haruka wouldn't have sent her here. Didn't these idiots get it? It was precisely because she knew she'd been selfish and needed to make amends that she most certainly couldn't say it to his face! Asuka didn't know what kind of relationship they had, but that much was obvious! Had Harukaze herself simply walked up and demanded their attention, no doubt, they'd have been chastising her for her rudeness and impropriety by now. But, since she'd chosen to convey her message by means of an intermediary, she was being scorned and derided for being indirect and rude. It was stupid, but that was just the way things worked, so of course, Asuka could have let all their hypocrisies slide. Better that she herself was the one to be called out for it than Harukaze, since, after all, that'd no doubt just make her even more depressed.

But the cloaked lady just had to say one more thing - one more thing that all but set Asuka's hair on end as she couldn't, for a moment, conceal a look first of shock and disbelief at what she was hearing, and then a momentary glimmer of unbridled outrage.

"This" - and here she gestured dismissively to Asuka herself with a scorn she didn't even bother trying to conceal - "is going to cause a lot of problems." Asuka could swear she saw her eyes narrowing with a knowing sort of hatred, and she pronounced one final, totally unnecessary judgement on the matter before walking away.

"Especially if this is how you talk to Fumika-san."

Asuka's breath stopped in her throat, and she realized that her hands had, at some point, clenched themselves into fists against her will. She took a deep breath, and tried to stretch as naturally as she could to pass off the momentary lapse in her composure. "Geez, that was rude. I mean, I tried asking Harukaze-san to apologize herself, but she didn't want to bother you guys. Really, I don't know where she gets off telling her what to do! She was just trying to be considerate," She declared with feigned disinterestedness and absolutely genuine frustration. But, although she managed to pass it off by nodding along with Jett's apology and pretending to forgive the one who'd spoken against her on the spot, in reality, her thoughts were elsewhere.

She said that like it was common knowledge. And the others didn't react at all. Just what does she... what do they know about my sis? What did she tell them? They were all acting suspiciously friendly towards her... And there was that boy, too, who came running the moment he heard her calling! And when that fight broke out, the way she jumped it and made it all about her... So, that's how she did it. I always knew she could be petty, but... As all the visible probabilities converged towards one conclusion, Asuka found it hard to contain her anger and disbelief at being so underhandedly used, even by someone who she knew disliked her immensely. But it all made sense - too much sense.

The only way Fumika had managed to get people to pay attention to her was through pity. She must have surely learned that from her experiences with Harukaze-san. Then... she'd just made herself out to be so pathetic, so innocent, and so mistreated that they couldn't help but like her! And the one on whom she must have pinned all the blame...

"Especially if this is how you talk to Fumika-san."

"Sister... Do you hate me?"

"Yeah! I do! You're stupid and annoying and you keep getting in the way! Why don't you just leave me alone?"

Really, who else could it be but her mean, inconsiderate bully of a sister, who had treated her so disingenuously, and then disabused her with so much spite? It was all so laughably transparent that Asuka couldn't help but wonder how she hadn't seen it before. To be sure, it wasn't what she'd have done herself, but the plan nevertheless made perfect sense, and the lie, if you squinted at it a bit, held up to a casual sort of scrutiny. In a twisted sort of way, she was almost proud of her sister's ingenuity - was grateful that, even if it meant being her own personal scapegoat, in some way, she'd helped Fumika establish herself, had helped her sister not to be alone.

...So then why did it hurt so much to know that this was what her sister must have truly thought of her? She'd always known that Fumika disliked her. She just hadn't known that she could be so rational and clever about it. This was best for everyone, so they why, exactly, did she feel so angry?

Her composure was thus already in shambles when, one by one, a series of utterly bizarre events served to completely demolish it. First, the boy to whom she had been sent to apologize vanished into thin air in the middle of asking where he could find Haruka, thus making the entire venture completely pointless since, to her knowledge, she wouldn't be able to engineer a private conversation between them. But then on top of that...

"What."

Asuka blinked. The undeathly pallor of the shaggy, lanky boy in front of her hadn't changed, nor had the dull, lifeless expression in the one of his eyes that she could actually see, which roughly resembled the languid stare of a fish washed up on the beach. And, most importantly, he was still rather noticeably missing an arm, which, if she was to understand his meaning correctly, he had... eaten?

It was probably insensitive of her to think this way, but Asuka couldn't help but be grateful that the past few weeks had inured her to the sight of people lacking somewhere in the appendage department, or else she'd probably have screamed. ...But wait, wasn't she supposed to scream? After all, this was a perfect chance to look cute and timid, in need of protection. Her Gal-Mode instincts demanded it! ...So then why was it that the only male in the area who wasn't a bloody - heh, puns - zombie had just vanished into a puff of smoke? She sighed. Just like that, the facade crumbled - or rather, she let it crumble. No amount of cuteness points were worth this nonsense.

Thankfully, her excuse for entering the conversation proved to be an equally good one for leaving it, as before she had to inquire as to why a zombie was walking the campus demanding to know the time, Kasuke-san smoothed things over, left the issue in the hands of the rude woman - a choice of words which, had she been able to see under Dulga's cloak, no doubt would have amused her greatly despite her present state of discombobulation - and had rushed them both off towards the dorms. Of course, once they were clear of the conversation, she would have to object in order to retrieve Harukaze, but... No, wait, actually, judging by the rather loud squeak of surprise and shock she'd just heard coming from behind the hedge where she'd left her, and by the rather prominent wisps of black smoke rising from behind it, it didn't seem like that would be a problem at all. She smiled slightly despite herself, and decided to let them be, herself following after her unexpected rescuer.

"Are you tired of that act yet? If not, you've got to teach me how to keep it going. Anyway, shall we?"

Asuka couldn't help but sigh at this. She'd had a feeling that of the three, the one who had appeared most convinced by her display was in fact, the least swayed by it, but this confirmed those suspicions completely. And, considering what she now had a feeling was almost inevitably true, she supposed there was no point in making herself look worse by continuing to feign a persona that must have been utterly contrary to all reports and conceptions that her sister's so-called friends would have of her. As such, she merely exhaled, all but deflating like a balloon as her smile vanished and her eyes narrowed into an irritated sort of frown, like the expression one might have upon waking up to find the sun shining entirely too brightly in one's eyes.

"Oh, believe me, I'm exhausted," She responded with a shrug of disappointment. "If I had realized beforehand how generally aware the students here were of my 'true character,' then I assure you, I wouldn't have troubled myself with making the effort." She here paused, stealing a slight glance at the face of her conversational partner to see if it would betray any reaction to her statement. She sincerely doubted that someone as composed as Kasuke would give away surprise so easily, but if she really had heard the sorts of stories she imagined her sister to be telling, then maybe she'd at least be taken aback by their seeming confirmation. After all, this was all for Fumika's sake. If this was what it took for someone as dense as her to have friends, then Asuka didn't mind playing a part in her little lie, even if it was at her own expense.

...She just wished that her sister hadn't gone behind her back like this.

Nevertheless, she forged ahead. "Perhaps I should have just made that stupidly earnest girl blunder through this herself without my help, after all," She gave a wry smile, glancing back at where she had left the no-doubt surprised Harukaze in a rather undesirable situation. But it was for her own good, and better than anything that someone so universally reviled as herself could have done for her.

"Given my reception, I can't help but wonder if I just made matters worse for her."

It had been taking Asuka a very long time. Haruka waited anxiously, wondering what had happened. She heard multiple voices coming from beyond the hedge, but couldn't make out what they were saying. Unconsciously, she winced slightly, feeling in her heart the utterly contrary urges to hide herself away as completely as possible and to rush out and apologize herself.

She wanted to see him. She knew it would hurt, knew it would make her feel even more pathetic than she already did. Seeing him so struck by her deformity, witnessing the full condescension of his compassion once again, without denying it or running away, she had no doubt would break what little remained of her pride. But what, really, was there left for her to be proud of? What had she done, beyond fail to uphold her promise? What did she have to look forward to, beyond a burdensome existence which would no doubt cause trouble for the very people who she had wanted to praise her?

The only answer she could find to this incessant question came in the form of his face. It had seemed to float before her eyes in every waking moment since the day he'd finally found out her deception, had hidden behind her eyelids when she tried to sleep, had been, in short, both everywhere to be expected, and nowhere to be found, and as for herself, Haruka had not the slightest explanation for that. There was nothing left for her to expect from him but his pity, and yet, even that seemed preferable to his scorn. And so, even if it meant destroying the last bit of her pride, and exposing herself for the fraud she really was... if he would just come back, perhaps this time, she wouldn't object if he tried to hold her like before.

So she listened, and she waited, desperately longing to see him again, and filling her aching heart with such similar consolations and desires which, she felt, would never be satisfied unless-

"...Really?!"

And so our romantic heroine gave a very undignified, very distressed squeak. Her crutch, propped against her leg, fell to the ground as her hands flailed wildly. Her face went redder than a beet, and her entire body shot off from the bench, only to almost immediately topple forward in an exceedingly undignified sprawl as she frantically scrambled away, practically flinging herself into the hedge at the irrational thought that, somehow, that question had been directed at the distinctly shameful thoughts she had been entertaining. Had it been that obvious that she was pining over him? Had she been blushing? While she didn't know the answer to the first, the second was entirely irrelevant, as, if nothing else, she sure as hell was blushing now! She turned slowly, raising her head and tossing herself down upon the grass and staring up at him.

He was so much taller now. He'd only used to be only slightly above her own height, but now he seemed almost to tower over her. Of course, she was sitting down and standing up, so maybe it was just the perspective... or the shadows? The setting sun had just gone beneath the building behind him... Like a halo through the fringes of his hair, or, or... or something. And those amber eyes seemed to strike right through her, and... and... And perhaps all of this was just in her own delusions, after all. He was Jett. She was Haruka. There wasn't anything more than that, and she wasn't good with this sort of thing, so why did her heart insist on making the picture before her eyes so complicated?! Her head fell, a curtain of messy black fringe casting a shadow over her eyes as her cheeks flared outward in a shamed pout.

"...Jerk," She managed to force out, the word barely more than a whisper. No, no, she wouldn't... she couldn't just sit here acting so pathetic and small. She couldn't let him see her like this. He could pity her for her leg all he wanted, but at least, this emotion was still sacred! Forcing herself to look up, she met his gaze once again, fighting with all her might to hide her childish embarrassment from at least him.

"How many times do I have to tell you not to scare me like that? It's creepy."

It was no good. Her words didn't want to come out. She had no idea what to say to him. She needed time, much, much more time to prepare, to think, to come up with something, anything. There had to be some magical phrase to make things right again, but all she could think of was what Asuka had no doubt already said - so she said it again, for lack of anything better.

"I'm sorry," She whispered, hiding her face as best she could. Now what? What would he say to her? Would he be angry? Resentful? Distant? She had just wanted to see him again, and she'd gotten her wish, but now that she had everything right in front of her, she had no idea how to respond. She still couldn't even find the strength to be happy to see him again, even though she desperately wanted to... wanted to... wanted to what? Where was there to go from here? That path had long since closed to her.

At that moment, Harukaze Haruka couldn't help but feel herself to be the very picture of a fool. As usual, even when everything went exactly in her favor, she, in her infinite fallibility, would find some way to ruin it all - even if it was the only "real" thing she had ever had.

Ooh. I haven't had a chance to use one of my old living weapon style characters for a very long time. I'm going to be a little bit busy in the short term, so it might be hard for me to put out posts as long as I usually try for, but if you're up for it, I'd totally be willing to give it a try.

"Harukaze-san? Why did you stop?" Asuka froze mid-step as the answer to her question quite literally appeared before her eyes a few yards ahead in a puff of black smoke. She hadn't been paying too much attention while crossing the school grounds towards the dorms - it was early evening and plenty of students were out and about enjoying themselves on the green. She'd nearly been hit in the head by the same Frisbee twice just in passing the large green by the cafeteria, and it had been all she could do to keep her significantly more short-tempered friend - she supposed it was right to call her a friend now, anyway - from severely chastising the responsible parties for their lack of awareness. But, as she didn't know anyone here at this school, it wasn't like it was terribly important for her to pay much attention to them. After all, she knew her sister wouldn't be roaming around aimlessly on her own this late. If she was going to be anywhere, it would be shut up in her dorm, probably either napping or doing something stupid like building a pillowfort. Or napping inside of a pillowfort. Truly unpredictable.

As a result however, she hadn't really noticed that she did, in fact, recognize a few members of a small group conversing under a tree to her left. At least, that is, until one of them literally teleported in front of her, and, although he didn't seem to notice her immediately, Asuka immediately cursed her bad luck under her breath and turned to face her traveling companion. Harukaze's amber eyes alternated between staring at the bricks of the pavement as though they were the most interesting things she'd ever seen in her life, and taking sheepish glances at the back of the tall, blonde boy who was just obliviously running his mouth a few yards away. Her face quickly shifted from a shocked white to a significantly more vibrant hue of red, and she breathed a quiet sigh. Asuka couldn't help but sympathize. If she'd gotten in such a humiliating fight with someone she'd once been close to, she wouldn't have wanted to see them either.

Asuka cocked her head slightly, motioning to a small path between two of the science buildings separated from the courtyard by a retaining wall and a very tall hedge. Creeping away as quietly as possible, with Harukaze doing her best to avoid scraping her crutch as she walked, Asuka guided her friend to a bench and motioned for her to sit down.

"Well? What do you want to do?" She asked after a moment of silence. "He's kind of right in the way of getting to the dorms. Should we just ignore him and go on our way?"

Harukaze shook her head.

"Then do you want to sneak past, or try talking to him, or-" She got no further, for the dark-haired girl, having regained her composure, raised a hand and motioned her to stop.

"I'm sorry. Could you... please... go apologize to him for me? I caused him a great deal of trouble the other day, and... it's only right that I should be sorry. And... if you would... tell me what he says?"

Asuka breathed a quiet sigh, but didn't object, giving a quiet nod. Normally, she made a policy of not interfering in people's personal affairs, but this was something of a matter of honor for her. After all, she was staying at Harukaze's apartment, and she had taken good care of her older sister. Besides, she had to admit that she was curious to see just what the hell had happened between them to cause the outburst she had seen a few days ago. Maybe from that, she could figure more out about her sister and why she'd said the things she did. It wasn't exactly a becoming trait to be nosy, but, well, at least she'd know, right?

At least, that was what she told herself, but even she, confident and thoroughly disaffected though she might have been, couldn't help but feel slightly uneasy at approaching someone she barely knew about a matter she had no part in. How had she let herself get roped into this? Well, at least the girl from the other day was also there. She'd seemed like a sensible sort, and seemed to have a good head on her shoulders. That might make entering their conversation a little bit easier.

"Excuse me," She piped up quietly from behind the boy who was the root cause of all this. She had only a moment to contemplate the best way of bringing this to their attention. As matters stood, she felt that she only had two options. She could rush directly to the point and address the boy directly and just get this over with. It'd probably be something like one of those old American detective shows she loved watching, like "Excuse me, but are you Mr. Haven? I have a message for you from a client." Pfft! As if. No, she had a much better plan. Although, that wasn't exactly a high bar. Acting like this always tired her out, but nevertheless, she'd already dug herself in this deep... Might as well keep it up and see what she might unearth, right? Thankfully, she and Haruka had approached at a rather odd angle, not managing to come anywhere near the tree the group were standing under before turning off, meaning they probably hadn't been noticed. And, if they had, it probably - she hoped - wouldn't look weird for her to come back to converse with someone she'd met before.

So, she embraced her role with gusto, and entered... Gal-mode. My ultimate forbidden technique, sure to land me any hot guy I desire. This state burdens my mind immensely, similar to trying to discover who the killer is by the second episode. It shortens my lifespan every time I use it, so I sealed it away. it's only supposed to be a trump card used to- ...And what the hell am I even thinking right now?

"Ah, that is you, Kasuke-san! I knew it!~" She declared with an obviously unaffected relief and a slight hint of girlish cheerfulness that was so painstakingly crafted as to be almost unquestionably genuine. "It's me, Motome, from the other day." She gave a bashful giggle with perfect timing, scratching her head with supremely innocent nervousness. "Oh, but my sister's also Motome, so you can call me Asuka if that's too much of a hassle. Anyway, I'm really sorry to bother you when you're in the middle of something, but could you help me out? I don't really know anybody around here except my sister, and I can't find her anywhere. I think she might be at the dorms, but I don't really know where that is, and- Oh!" She stopped herself, only just seeming to notice Jett. She let her smile slip a bit, giving a deliberately forced expression as if unsure of how to proceed. After a moment of awkwardness, she lowered her head slightly and proceeded in a quieter, more sheepish tone of voice.

"Umm, Jett-san, wasn't it? S-sorry, I'm not too good with names sometimes. Umm, I really should apologize, though. My friend kind of made a huge scene yesterday. She's really beating herself up over it, and, uh, that's actually part of why I came here." She wasn't technically lying - that WAS why she'd accosted them, but she made sure to make it sound like their meeting was a total coincidence, not wanting to imply that Haruka was around in case he demanded to see her. "Harukaze-san wanted me to tell you she's very sorry for causing you so much trouble." She took a very deep bow, and hesitated bashfully to raise her head. "If you don't want to talk about it anymore, I totally understand, but... umm... if there's anything you have to say to her, I could tell her for you next time I see her?"

There it was! Her master play. After all, Harukaze had asked her to relate anything Jett said on the subject back to her, so asking for exactly that was totally within her jurisdiction, right? This way, she could hopefully figure out just what Jett had to do with Harukaze and her sister, and maybe, just maybe, help settle her friend's dispute for her.

...Still, this really wasn't worth it. Acting so earnest and cutesy all the time was exhausting, especially when the only attractive guy around was surrounded by other girls and already had some kind of history with one of her friends. She had no idea how so many airheads managed to live this way. IF nothing else, though, if these people had already had the misfortune of dealing with her older sister... Their reactions to seeing someone who looked so much like her, but actually behaved normally would probably be interesting. They'd definitely be relieved, right? Somebody had to be the competent one in the family, after all, and it sure as hell wasn't her big sis.

Righty-o! I've created a pretty barebones Discord server for this RP, but I can work on adding to it as we go. In any case, if anyone has any questions, suggestions, comments, or the like, that'll give you a way to directly bring them to my attention at all times. I'll try to have the OOC up soon as well, but in the meantime, if you want to hang out there and discuss characters and stuff, the option is now available.

Here's the link!
Alrighty! I'd say we've left this up long enough, and with seven people interested, I think we've got more than enough to make this RP a good one. I'll have the Discord up when I get back from classes this afternoon, and try to get the OOC thread up either this evening or tomorrow so we can get everything set. :D

I'm looking forward to roleplaying with all of you!
@MaeWow, that's amazing! She's so detailed, and the background's incredible too! Nice job! 0w0
