Darius was hoping for something more from the swimsuit shop, but men's swimsuits probably had a limit to how diverse they could be, even in a magical fantasy world. He purchased a pair of black swim trunks from the petite, blonde fairy shopkeeper. He paid 10 amas for his purchase and left the store with a wave. She was friendly, and maybe he would have stayed to chat some, but Darius had other shops to get to.

As he exited, his eyes landed on the blacksmith establishment. Darius figured weapons and armor were a good investment, and he had the amas to spare. He rolled up the swim trunks and placed them into his backpack before heading across the way.

As he entered the second store, he immediately felt the heat coming from the forge and feasted eyes on the many weapons and armor on display within. Darius had never seen anything like it and wondered about where to even start. The closest thing he had ever seen on Earth was the firearms section in a pawn shop or a Walmart.

"Sick…" He commented quietly before looking at the backs of the customers ahead of him. An elf, a demi-human, and an orc… ...walk into a forge… Darius almost chuckled at the potential start to a joke and instead smiled to himself. The three customers engaged the female blacksmith, who barely noticed him. When she did however, she took a moment to greet him.

"Can't sleep now." Darius grumbled as he rolled out of bed with his portable solar box in hand. He had managed to make an account on the device and also browsed the database some. He had looked up River Port, and learned a few things about the town, like it being the tenth port established and how the town held many stores and attractions for its small size. He took a look at his timeteller and shrugged. The night is still young and I might as well hit all the other places I missed. The spa and bathhouse seem like good ideas.

Once dressed, Darius headed back into town, guided by the light of the lamp posts along the way. He noticed many were decorated with flower vines, something his keen eye noticed. Despite his attention to detail, nothing else came from it. Knowing Avalia, it was likely a fairy attempting to pretty up the place. He winced for a moment as he thought of Risa. She still haunted him, which he hadn't fully forgiven Malgormuun for. He understood why the demon made him experience Risa in that way. If Darius saw Risa as a monster, she would be easier to kill, and to Malgormuun, her death meant the end for the rebellion.

Unfortunately or perhaps fortunately, Aklenroth decided against the assassination of Risa Millina. It freed both Darius and Malgormuun of the burden. Daka was surely his next destination once he found Myra. He was sure she might find him first with her sharp senses… The possibility where he might never see her again was pushed to the very back of his mind. It made him feel too guilty. The world she knew was not the one he brought her to. With so many people, the buildings, the clothes, the dancing, and… the danger.

His eyes hung low as he walked across the town square a fast walking blonde elf caused him to take a slight sidestep out of the way. He turned to look back briefly but continued as he was sure he wasn't paying too much attention to where he was walking.

Continuing, he stopped at the swimsuit shop. Why not see what they had to offer? He might even get to swim tomorrow morning. He entered the shop

Bark after bark.... Bark after bark.... The barking did not stop and Darius could no longer tune it out. Groaning, he rolled out of bed and put on his clothes from earlier that day. He cursed under his breath, because despite hoping, the dog continued.

Once dressed, he made his way out the front door to find the same border collie that approached him earlier. The one with the cryptic advertising… Darius frowned at the dog and sighed as he kneeled down to pet him.

"A guy can't gett a little bit of rest? What do you have-… Oh, the paper again." Darius grabbed the drool-soaked paper and read it again. This paper must have been a second copy, because it wasn't completely deteriorated at this point from hours of slobber.

Meeting Hall tomorrow at 2

"Seriously? This is the same thing! Is this so important, that you found out where I was staying and barked at me while I was sleeping until I got out of bed?!" It was at that moment the light bulb clicked in Darius' head. His look of frustration slowly faded into one of thoughtfulness. Leon had a similar experience with a different dog. Went straight to him like this one did Darius. To Darius, two for two was simply a coincidence, but this dog meeting him now kind of counted as a third instance. A third instance of a dog delivering a slip of paper to a human. And if someone was seeking humans other than Aklenroth, it was likely the rebellion.

Darius tucked the paper into his pocket and gave the dog a few pats on the head.

"Count me there then." He said as he hoped Myra might be there, and maybe a few people to keep an eye out for. The dog barked, causing Darius to wince before chuckling. The border collie then out towards town from where it came. "Guess I gotta let Vaeril know." He reentered the rented out home to find paper and writing untensils before getting to writing.

You probably already know, but the rebels are meeting tomorrow at 2 in the meeting hall

Probably afternoon

Once the message was written, he headed up the stairs to the first room on right. The door was shut, so he simply slipped the note under Aklenroth's room door as he was not permitted to enter under any circumstances.

With the task complete, he contemplated how he might spend his night since he probably wouldn't fall asleep right away. He walked to his room, finally realizing that Nur was absent.

"I guess she left." He retrieved his portable solar box and figured he could configure and play with it for a few minutes before going to sleep. He had an early morning planned.

The fact that O'ner Faister had not immediately reacted to the mass of dead bodies so close to his garden was telling. Kol stared at the undead general that barely maintained his demi-human form as his skin began to crack and crumble since emerging from the light portal that appeared so suddenly. Kol noted his blank stare and robotic demeanor and assumed the general's time of autonomy was over. He cared not for the reason. Aklenroth's will was absolute, and Kol was aware of his duty in this instance. To serve and accomplish his duty to the throne.

Zorrah raised an eyebrow at O'ner as his skin and flesh withered. It was dark, but mana-filled fog around the majority of the castle gave off a faint blue glow.

"Sucks… Oh, wait! Does this mean I can finally grow Zemak in the garden?! Oooh yes!" Zorrah exclaimed before vanishing in a puff of smoke. Like usual, Kol ignored her, and instead turned his attention to his guard force, maintaining a still box formation.

"Royal guard! File into the dining room!" He ordered before walking off towards the arrived undead general who was now nothing but bone and all that he wore. As if inspecting one of his own, Kol scanned O'ner from top to bottom. "Weapon and crystal." He stated as O'ner held out his adamantine magical staff in one hand and the locator gem in the other. "It seems the king has another purpose for you." He grabbed both items and proceeded to walk towards the castle. "And I'm sure another purpose for these as well."

Once the items were secured inside the castle armory, Kol made his way to the stationary solar box available close to Aklenroth's library, all so he could spread his message to dark elven leaders in Malthemoor and Azmor Galus. To remind the wavering and indecisive where their loyalty should lie. To inform his people that the military advisor to the throne, Kol Varanasi stood beside the king. And finally requesting implementation of immediate imprisonment or death to any traitors to the throne, dark elf or otherwise.

With Commander Dreadclaw deceased, and Aklenroth occupied with his mission, Kol felt that he should take the reigns of the Dark Elves if need be. For now, he would guide his people to the darkness. The only light they needed was what Halastra reflected down upon them.

"Lost? Hmm…" Valaeon eyed the two elves wondering if Risa was serious about what she had said about the two getting lost on the way to the beach. He nodded to her deciding to walk nevertheless. He was not here to command but to assess the situation. "I shall provide overwatch from the sky then." He informed before taking a few strides forward and flapping his huge, powerful wings.

He kept a watchful eye on his group and anyone following from up high. With a bird's eye view, he noticed two or three figures following Risa, Valamiir, and the elves. Night made it harder to pinpoint the exact number as his sight was limited by poor lighting and moving shadows.

Once Risa, Valamiir, Lucia, and Leon reached the beach, Valaeon glided down and landed rather gently before looking towards the direction where Sakura approached from.

"See, I knew he was a mighty warrior! I always have a good eye for the type!" He said referring to Leon being a human, but kept his eyes on those approaching. He positioned himself between the group and the approaching party and crossed his spiky arms over his chest while spreading his large wings. The dragonborn was like a living, breathing barrier of muscle and sharpness.

"I think it would be wise to identify yourself before taking another step. Unfortunately, this is not a party… but the Shakey Dock might be the place you want if that is truly what you seek." His deep tone remained level and serious as the moonlight helped to make him look all the more intimidating.

Skar and Hatchet had gathered together in the clearing and gotten acquainted over grog and a bit of roughhousing. Despite their physiological differences, goblins and orcs enjoy most of the same things. All the while Skar made battle plans with Hatchet in between drinking and a few good brawls. She watched some and participated in a few herself. There were some broken bones in the midst of the roughhousing, but this was a normal thing in a gathering of orcs.

Hatchet revealed that he was an Orc Captain, which made Skar respect him a bit more. She hated his unnecessary talking, but being a Captain meant he had some level of reputation. Reputation in orc society indicated the power one had in a fight. Most were simply great fighters and killers, while few used their intellect. Most found the latter to be the most dangerous and Hatchet may have been one of them.

The two looked at a map of southwestern Avalia as Skar's best slave stood beside her silently watching the exchange.

"Warpact better through desert this way! No boats!" She complained about how her people would reach the Diamond Heart clan. Skar did not have confidence that her horde could successfully navigate by watercraft of any sort.

"If you mean to travel through the flippin' desert, you are simply mad! Most of your Warpact will be gone before you even reach the oasis! Y'know there's a young blue dragon out there taking out anything that crosses that territory. Not only that, but the bitch gots other creatures helpin' it!" He circled the northern portion of the desert. Skar simply glared at him intensely.

"Bloodfang want to travel by boat? Travel by boat. Go to water. Skar and Warpact will leave in morning… Warpact will travel by desert. Skar not fear anyone! Not even dragon!"

Valaeon returned a nod to Valamiir, glad they were on the same page. When a grinning elf suddenly approached the two dragonborn and Risa, Valaeon managed a toothy grin. It was rude not to be friendly to those that greeted with a smile. He allowed Valamiir to introduce himself first, and then watch as the light elf moved on and straight to Risa. Valaeon's face stiffened some as he took slight offense to the elf's perceived rudeness. Valamiir was one of his role models and his mentor, so he held the older dragonborn in high esteem. As he went to clear his throat, Valamiir spoke up about the female elf's rudeness

"Agreed. Do not perpetuate the idea of elves being the rudest of people…" When Valamiir commented on the male elf's posture, he laughed along with him, the booming laughter filling the area. "And yes, loosen up, green-haired warrior! I am sure you are one of the mightiest in these parts! No need to intimidate us!" He chuckled this time, just before Valamiir mounted his blue drake.

Valaeon turned his head to Risa and Lucia with a nod.

"To the beach! That is where we shall go to continue our meet and greet!" His eyes locked on Risa as he fully spread his wings. "I will not fly without you! Take the lead!"

"So you're telling me that not only is the Devil plural and a people, but they are not demons, and you both hate each other so much that you have been actively invading each others planes of existence to continue a war that has been going since… forever?" Some time had passed in the dreamscape. And if Malgormuun was willing to actually have a conversation, why not indulge.

"Yes, and it is disgusting that your kind sees a devil as the ringleader of demonkind… But, you don't get it. I can tell you do not understand the ramifications of their victory. The war is worth it. My kind, we are… intense, but we show it in our nature or even by our appearance. Devils hide this… intensity. They claim to be bound by order, but they will refuse to tell you the complexities and circumstances of that order. Despite us being chaotic, what you see is what you most likely get… That is if we are fulfilling our true purpose; What we were born to do, rather than raised to do." Malgormuun was mirroring Darius' posture now, leaning forward. He noticed Darius thinking to himself. "Myra."

"Uh yeah… Is she doing what she was born to-"

"Don't be foolish! The common outsider would see her as no more than a beast. Even confuse her for one of the ferals of my kind. The ones that would snap at anything with flesh and a pulse. Though I do not know her, I believe I have seen her kind once before and by observing your dear friend, I know her purpose is quite simple. She is a killer, a natural and near-perfect hunter. Cloaking, speed, acrobatics, sharp senses, and her natural weapons. I don't know her affliction, but naturally, she would have a way to dispatch most in combat… And that's if they were to see her first and know her intentions."

Darius listened with a pensive stare as he tried to imagine Myra being like the aliens from the Predator movies. He wondered what might have happened to her. Was she better off being the Myra he knew cared for?

"And you? What's your purpose? You guys kind of sound like you have programming or something. You should have a choice. Like, being a nice demon that helps others." A low growl emanated from the demon

"Possible, but difficult. Imagine being born with great wings and choosing not to soar the skies or having the ability to thrive on the negative emotions of others and not create despair to sustain yourself… Sure it is not so cut and dry as your kind would say. A demon born to kill can kill for a good cause, sure, but nothing is so black and white. Take the light elves. Some see them as the hope of Avalia, while others see them as the original oppressors. They created the monsters they fear today due to their own cruelty. In turn, those monsters returned the favor not only to them but all others who simply stood by. Do the fairies and demi-human deserve the same treatment? Perhaps. Does a person who stands by while another is abused and assaulted deserve punishment as well? Again, perhaps. One hundred years of returning the same cruelty and they fold. Now, they are grasping at whatever they can to fight back. Your kind are powerful, but even if they find victory by some miracle, the hate will still be there among the masses. Most orcs, dark elves, and demons will despise the light elves, demi-humans, and fairies. And the same goes for the other side. Removing Aklenroth leaves the races to their own devices and schemes. Divides them even more so. Fairies governing fairies seems ideal to their side, but what of orcs who deliver violence or my kind who were born to spread our influence as far as we can? To govern ourselves would threaten their livelihood. Aklenroth presents a cruel balance, but a balance that keeps the masses alive… As for my purpose… It is simple. Preserve my kind at any costs"

Unlike Risa, Valaeon landed quite clumsily due to his haste. He had slammed his tail against the ground to slow his momentum and skid his feet a few feet. He let loose a grunt as he got his footing before facing Valamir and kneeling to greet his master. Despite outranking Valamir within the Sanguine Draconis Militia, Valaeon had a great deal of respect for the dragonborn that had taught him combat since he was a mere wyrmling. He was essentially Valaeon's second father figure.

Once Valamir patted Valaeon on the shoulder, he stood with a huge smile on his face.

"Welcome to River Port Master Ligthningfang! And what good thinking, because it worked!" Valaeon seemed to ignore the fact it had possibly disturbed the entire town. When Valamir asked Risa who she was, he stepped between the two, now with a serious face. "Here is not the right place, but she is the one I have been seeking. The one who might help us change things here in Avalia. Rexus and Baerun are not confident in her, so I must disprove their predeterminations about her and her commitment." Valaeon hoped Valamir was not here to talk him out of this. He would refuse even his beloved master.
