Castle of the Dark Queen
Main Gate
Sulleykaar looked towards the two commanders and gestured to them as he looked at Kiara. ”These two are the finest commanders I have ever had under my banner.” Garax snarled at him before Sulleykaar corrected himself. ”And Garax here has so far been the most loyal and respectful warlord the Bloodruns has ever or will ever have.” The orc warlord gave a smirk before leaning over towards Kiara. He gave Sulleykaar a questioning look.
”Who’s this?” Felix looked over at the young red-headed woman for a long moment before his eyes widened slightly. Before Kiara, Sulleykaar or Felix could retort he gave her a predatory grin with hungry eyes. ”My god she is beautiful! The brothels here must be of high class… Felix, who immediately recognized who she was slapped a hand over his face with his head down, muttering something about stupid orcs. Sulleykaar shook his head and sighed.
”Brothels don’t exist here. There is no need for them.” Garax snorted in disappointment. Kiara looked from the brutish orc and then to Sulleykaar.
“Brow-thyl?” she spoke the foreign word in the common tongue. “What is this? A place to collect beautiful things?” Kiki asked Sulleykaar, attempting to use context clues. Maybe it was a dragon thing, like a treasure hoard. Sulleykaar went to answer her until, once again, but this time with even less tact then before, Garax leaned down to her level and with the tone that a parent would talk to a little child he grinned.
”Its where pretty whores meet to get their brains fu-” Sulleykaar leaped up and gripped him by the face and using the momentum from the jump, slammed his head back down onto the ground with a audible crack. It wouldn’t kill the orc, but he had to keep the warlord in his place. Despite his tactical capabilities and outstanding combat experience, he was quite the typical orc from Sulley’s realm. Brawn overpowered brain and it showed here. Not the way he wanted to start off.
”Watch your tongue from now on Garax or I promise that you won’t get to see the sunrise.” While the one sided argument continued, Felix walked over to Kiara and kneeled before her.
“Kiara of the Court, I am Felix Andersen of Kalmar and lord commander of the Order of the Crimson Wing.” He took her hand and gently kissed it and looked up at her with a warm smile. The Commander then stood back up and glanced over at the orc and dragon. Kiara smiled warmly. So, apparently there were polite folk from Sulleykaar’s lands. This handsome fellow was quite refreshing. “I was told that I would meet the General of the UnSeelie forces but I was glad I was able to first meet you. You are quite beautiful and I don’t doubt that you will show the Unseelie Court years of prosper and growth.”
”Thank you, Commander Felix. With your looks and smooth tonuge, you will get along quite well in our Queendom. My-” she hesitated over the word slightly “Father should be meeting up with us shortly.” By this time the Dragon and Orc had stopped, The orc wiping a thin line of blood from his face. Garax gave Sulleykaar and glare before turning his attention back to the fey woman.
“Ah so as I was about to tell you. A bra-thull-” Felix broke up the word for Kiara to try for again if she wished. “Is a place outside of the Courts where women provide sexual services in exchange for money. However, unlike your court, outside of here sex is not as….common as far as your culture has brought it. So as to shorten what he had said…”
”He was in his own dumb way complimenting you in an insulting way.” Sulleykaar finished his thought. Kiara looked from Felix to Sulleykaar, and then to the splayed out Orc. The pieces had finally come together. The compliment, or intimidation tactic, whatever that was supposed to be on the brute’s part had gone completely over her head. And now she simply fell into a hysteric bout of laughter. She clasped a hand over her mouth to try to stifle the sound, it was impolite to laugh at a new ally, after all. Once she caught her breath, she spoke.
“You--” another giggle “You have to pay for it. Oh my…” Kiara cleared her throat. “That’s rather pathetic. I hope your luck turns here, work on those manners and I’m sure you find a doll or two to warm your bed.” The orc growled in annoyance. A whore, what an interesting concept. Perhaps he wasn’t so incorrect…. She was just bought, but the services she was meant to provide had yet to be disclosed, much to her chagrin. Despite all the commotion. One figure of the front slowly stepped forward and looked up to the walls and the overall size of the place. At first glance, one could assume that he was awestruck by its grandeur but in fact he was feeling quite nostalgic.
”This...This takes me back.” Behind the mask a grin slowly etched it's way onto their face. Sulleykaar glanced over at his captain and smiled.
”Feeling homesick there, Captain Kyla?” Sulleykaar questioned with raised brow. They turned towards the four of them before pulling back their hood and mask. Her black hair held close to her neck and greyish eyes glancing back and forth between her home and Sulleykaar. It was at this point that Sulleykaar turned to face the road, his posture becoming slightly more rigid and stoic as he watched the General from afar make his ascent to where they were.
Cynbel approached the army at a steady, confident pace. His aura boasted leadership and charisma, much like Sulleykaar himself. He stepped to stand near his daughter and the crimson dragon.
”Welcome to the Nightmare Court, home of the Unseelie Fey and the Dark Queen Morrígan. We are pleased to greet you and yours to our land of plenty. If you would march to the Northwest, you will find the barracks. There you will meet your Fey brothers and sisters in arms. They will guide you to the best hunting grounds, which fruits are safe to eat, and where you will find rest for the night.”
The Faerie Commander looked to Sulleykaar then, ”We should march at dawn. I propose an ambush or sorts. We will not need the full extent of our combined forces yet, I believe it would be best to surprise them, slaughter them, and then keep them in the dark in regards to our true numbers. Would you agree, Commander?”
Sulley, Felix, Garax and the Unseelie Captain looked over at the general, quietly the ladder spoke the Unseelie code in low fae’len. Garax raised a slight eyebrow to the General. How is this frail looking thing considered a general? He snorted and quietly mumbled to himself. Felix gave the General a nod, a sign of respect to his title. Sulleykaar remained quiet until he had finished his greeting. He then faced the dragon, and explained his proposal. Sulleykaar then grimaced slightly. ”No…” He pause for a moment. ” This time around for a simple ambush should be initiated by Unseelie only. The sight of any other species could show desperation on your end plus it will null the idea that a third party has helped. Plus...Bahamut are well aware of our own members. But... Kyla here-” He gestured to his Unseelie Captain who stepped forward and greeted her old commander. ”Is one of your own and I have on my side another 167 of them. I will send including Kyla, 15 of my finest Unseelie rangers and rogues to accompany 15 of your own as well and I say we prepare them now and send them out now. Ambush the ambush so to speak. Plus while they're away we can discuss the main front as well as some special operations that i have in mind.” A dark and mischievous grin crossed his face. ”What do you say to that? He cocked an eyebrow up.
“A fantastic idea, Sulleykaar. I agree with keeping the alliance a hidden secret, for now. I will select the best of our shadow fey, rogues, and rangers for the operation.” Cynbel nodded, pleased with the outcome of this alliance so far. Sulleykaar had a good head on his shoulders, if only he could control his silver tongue.
Garax had begun to grow impatient. ”Are we going to be spilling some blood tonight or not? If not I need to go find some beautiful Unseelie to help me sleep tonight. Cynbel looked now to the Orc.
”You must be Garax, leader of the Bloodrun Orcs. Welcome, if you wish to spill blood, I’m sure you would find many willing opponents on our training grounds. If you wish to find a bedmate for the night, they are equally as plentiful. I recommend those who would gladly entertain both needs.” The faerie offered Garax a wide grin. Garax looked to Kiara with hungry eyes before glancing over at the General.
” I like her. Beautiful and fragile...She’ll do.” Sulley’s head shot to face Garax and, with a voice as low and as cold as the queen’s herself. He let his true voice be heard. The one voice he saves only for those who truly have stepped out of line.
”You will not touch even a single hair on her body Orc. She is mine and if I find out that you dared to even breathe on her I will enjoy the agonizing screams that escape your blood filled lungs as i carve the flesh straight off your bones.” His eyes seemed to glow a dark red as a visible flame like hue flowed off the side of his eyes. His scales visible and his wings spread wide for all to see.
Felix just remained quiet with tight lips. “Commander Cynbel, if I may be so bold...I would suggest getting the other men and women acquainted with their temporary home and let them meet and practice with your men and women. It would be a moral boost for both sides. Would you join me, Commander? That way we talk as well.”
Cynbel was distracted by the scene centering on his daughter. It seemed that if she were to be used by any man, it would only be one man. At least there was that… Felix spoke up and caught Cynbel’s attention. “Of course, Lord Commander. The barracks are this way, simply follow me along the treeline.” he wasn’t happy to be leaving his daughter to the sharks, but he was happy for the distraction. They walked a few paces before Cynbel asked the question that was burning on his tongue. “So, tell me… how does a human climb to your rank?”
Kiara looked at the Orc with a glare that could cut diamonds into shape. Her gaze move from him to the dragon before her. His form was large and intimidating now, but she wasn’t swayed. He obviously didn’t intend to eat her, or he would have already. “You are both far too focused on appearances. I am willing to bet you are more fragile than I, Orc. I can also fight my own battles, Iallea Mrywn.” the last barb was directed at Sulleykaar. She stepped forward to leer at the Orc once more. ”Though I must admit, Sulleykaar’s idea does sound like good fun. Maybe you should push your luck, such carnage would be the only thing involving you to make me come.” she wore a painted on crooked smile.
The army, Felix, her Father and now the Orc as well had all started to make their way to the barracks. That left her painfully alone with Sulleykaar. His words churned through her brain once more. ”I am also not yours. I am mine and mine alone, is that understood, dragon?” She considered pushing the same envelope she had earlier, insisting to know what he wanted her for. Judging by the events that had unfolded, she was starting to believe she might have been bought as a “whore”... one that he wished to keep all to himself.
