Away from Eagle’s Peak

It took a little while before he could gain his composure again. Once the dragon was himself, though still with trembling breath now and then. He turned towards the cliffside and sighed as he leapt, and made his way back to her, following her ever so specific scent. When he did catch sight of her he flew down and landed before her. He remained silent with eyes that seemed to not look directly at her. He was wrong. He was wrong for what he did after just telling her that being selfless was a good thing. Another mistake to add to the list.

Kiara looked up slowly at him, expecting to be roared at again… or scolded. ”I won’t do it again. I didn’t even want to. I’m not her, I’m Kiara.” the words came out too quickly, like a faucet of truth that got stuck in the on position.

He shook his head silently at her remark. ”Thank you...For doing that..." He whispered as he lowered his head down to Kiara. ” We will rest for awhile and then continue tomorrow morning."

”So… we have time for something fun then?” her ears had perked up, decidedly more chipper than a few moments before. Once again he nodded.

”Depends on what you are considering fun right now…” he softly smiled.

She had picked some fruits and wild grown mushrooms along her walk. One mushroom in particular was a bright purple with green spots and reminded her of something similar back home. She had refused the offer for the ride so he opted to go back to his human-like form and walk beside her. She had picked up many fruits and mushrooms, that were common in Eagle’s Peak like Eagle’s Eye, Teardrop Lemons, Dragon’s Heart and some other delicacies that mostly royalty were only able to get their hands on and other fruit that the realms knew of like strawberries, cherries, oranges and the sort. It wasn’t until he noticed that she also had picked up a special mushroom did his curiosity peak.

”Angel’s Beauty...An extremely rare mushroom found only here and its value is very high, considering the different uses it's for." He eyed the mushroom in her hands.

Kiara raised her brow curiously. She broke the cap in half and popped one bit in her mouth. Kiki held out the other half to Sulley, smirking as she chewed. It tasted kind of spicy. ”And what uses might those be?” she asked before swallowing.

He looked at her with a raised eyebrow and a few twitches of the mouth.”To a dragon...none except nourishment, for you and many other races on the other hand-" He trailed off as a mischievous giggle started to bubble in his throat.

”What?” she asked, feeling a permanent smile forming on her lips. ”Is it going to get me high?” That’s what the mushroom back home did, though that one didn’t have as much bite to it.

He swayed his head back and forth. ”Possibly. Mostly you will gain heightened senses, mostly feeling followed possible hallucinations, and other things.”

”Hehehe, sounds like a fantastic night to me. Are you sure you can’t come with?” she pouted a little and once again offered him the other half.

He took the other half and ate it nonchalantly. Forgot to mention-” He said as he chewed it. Kiara half expected him to say it might kill her, wouldn’t that be something? ”It’ch asho a powerful aphrodishiac. That’ mainly the use for it.” He finished and swallowed it.

”Hmhm, as if I need any more reason to want to sleep with you.” Kiara said, her tongue loosened enough to say something a little bit more bold than she usually would.

”I-I’m sorry? Care to repeat that?” He said in slight disbelief. Kiki peered over at him in her periphery line of sight and offered a crooked grin. He stared at her for a moment before realizing what she meant. He sighed as he looked down at himself. ’Dammit…’ He forgot clothing after he left the den. Instead of turning back for his clothes left at the lake he just shrugged and continued walking.

”I’m not complaining. I mean… I was supposed to get rewarded, after all. Oof-” Kiara stumbled uncharacteristically over a root as they walked and that’s when the world started moving.

He instinctively reached down to catch her, his forearm catching her just underneath her breasts and his other hand rested gently on her back. It felt like diving in the lake had earlier, the atmosphere had begun to move in waves, but something held her back. Colors danced into her vision, brilliant shades she had never seen before. There was a sensation on the skin below her breast and her back, like warm pulsations…. Or pin pricks? It was a strange yet enticing feeling. She looked down but it felt like she was moving in slow motion.

” Kiara? Are you ok?” He simply asked without raising concern or any other emotion. It was to keep what he was starting to believe was the mushroom taking effect. He kneeled her down with himself as he looked into her eyes. ”Dilatation and slight glassiness. Kiaraaaaa...”

His voice sounded smooth and thick, like the sweetest honey as he said her name. ”Hmmmm?” she asked, though it sounded more like some enjoying a fine wine rather than asking a question. Her irises visibly shifted colors like mini auroras as her moods carouseled without settling on a single emotion. When she reached out to touch him, it once again felt like swimming in pudding, but to the naked eye she moved at a regular, albeit wobbly, speed. Kiara traced the line of the scar that ran down his torso. That electric feeling overwhelmed her again, but this time she could see the sparks as their flesh met. Her mouth went wide with awe as she pressed her hand flat against him and giggled at the feelings that shot up through her arm.

Her soft hands ran down his chest and it tickled him slightly. He sighed but an idea struck. A sick, sadistic, yet mischievous grin appeared on his face as he moved his head closer towards her neck and opened his mouth. A tongue, longer than any normal tongue touched her neck as he glided it up underneath her jawline before his lips pressed against the jawline and he let out a draconic growl, with a rumble that would resonate over her body.

A sound that could only be described as a hiss with the undertones of a whimper escaped the faeries lips. Her eyes settled on a single shade then - red, red as a solar flare. There was still the voice of sober Kiara chirping in her ears to be careful. ”No tricks.” she warned, not wanting a repeat of earlier.

“A reward is a reward Kiaraaaa~” He let the trail end of her name rumble against her body. She smiled and leaned into the sound. It seemed like she could actually see the sound waves traveling along her skin. She shivered.

”And have you done to receive such a reward?” Kiara purred, apparently even draconic mushrooms weren’t enough to stomp out her pride.

“I promised you something special back in the lake and I meant it. This isn’t about me Kiara. It’s a promise I made to you.”

”Oh? Not about you at all she ran both her hands up his chest, feeling the cords of muscle beneath his skin. One hand settled against his neck and other pushed a lock of hair out of his face. The feeling of such a great amount of skin-to-skin contact in a short period of time sent stomach somersaulting. ”I seem to remember getting a bit of a snack from some not-so-mentor-like feelings earlier.”

He quirked an eyebrow and grinned. He wasn’t about to tell her that his release of his emotion was nothing more than a voluntary thing in order to bait her back in for training, no. That wasn’t going to be said. “A mentor cannot have feelings for a certain red-headed angel of a student? I feel hurt.” He said mockingly as he left the hold she had on his head and moved in towards her neck as he moved in close enough to force her passively to her back as his tongue made a second pass over her neck and now up towards her ear. His right clawed hand gently grazing the inside of her thigh before the back of his claws caressed her sides.

”Angel? Hmhmhm…. Wrong side of the realms, darling.” her grin was purely sinful. The next thing she knew the currents had pushed her onto her back and the world was spinning around her again.

“Then prove it…” At this point his face was over hers, hungry eyes looked into her own as he leaned into her. Kiara growled low in her throat and mimicked him by licking his sharp jawline. It was a strange, yet distinctly Unseelie, gesture. She had smirked at his challenge and twisted so that their bodies were reversed. His back was against the earth now and her grip pinned his wrists down by either side of his head, using her unnatural weight as leverage. Kiara leaned down and kissed the point where his jaw met his neck, just below the ear. She trailed kisses down his neck and chest before releasing his hands so that she could go lower.

A few hours later

As soon as the act was complete, the feelings disappeared in that instant, and Sulley laid there quietly, relishing in the bliss that was their union. He laid there for a moment with a light smile on his face. Ah the feeling... feeling... Sulleykaar mentally cursed himself for letting go and losing control like he did. "Dammit…". He clenched his teeth behind a closed smile.

”What?” Kiara asked, rolling to prop herself up on her elbows and kick her feet up above her buttocks as she lied on her stomach. It was feigned innocence, as she wore a shit-eating grin that gave his own a run for it’s money.

His eye twitched unintentionally as the smile fought to be a sneer. “Oh nothing.” He sing-songed. “You will find out tomorrow!”

Kiara smiled wide thinking that he meant something completely different from training. Her mind was already on her next ‘reward’.
Yeah, I think we are on hiatus until @Savi comes back. I'm still active in other places on this site, so I will still be around if and when this picks back up. I hope you all will be as well! :]

Quite a crowd was forming in Kiara’s little quiet spot by the lake. Of course, the dragon just couldn’t stay away. That might risk the chance of having things go smoothly. Sulleykaar’s landing spooked the lycan girl. Kiara couldn’t complain again that, because the girl pressed her rather attract body up against her own.

”My that is a sight to behold. Two beautiful women in the arms of each other. Even if nothing is planned it is still erotic none the less.” Kiki rolled her eyes and turned her nose up and away from Sulleykaar, still obviously pissed at him. Of course he would think two women together was alluring, but two men… gods forbid! She sighed to herself, what a missed opportunity.

”You have have problems with him?” Samantha whispered, leaning in towards Kiara’s ear.

”Only in that he seems to always be around.” Kiara retorted spicily.

”I say we tag team him first and get the other cutie afterwards.” Samantha suggested, turning Sulleykaar’s grin sour at the mention of Morgan. That was enough to tickle Kiara’s funnybone.

”Hahaha… I think you and I will get along quite nicely, sweets.” Kiki purred back at the girl. Sulleykaar and Morgan exchanged the most useless, forced sounding niceties she’d ever heard. ”Well… if we are all here by the lake, and it’s break. I say we do something fun.” The thin faerie girl put her hands on her boney hips. ”Last one in is ogre drool~!” she said the ‘rotten-egg’-esque taunt in a sing song voice before taking off in the direction of the lake and swiftly diving in.

War Room, One Day Earlier

The lieutenants, captains and generals sat in the small meeting room awaiting the return of Captain Kyla and Cynbel’s troops.

“I look forward to hearing the good news of the success of the ambush.” One of the Unseelie Captains said, confidence in his voice. The other Captains and Lieutenants of the Order looked at one another in silent talk. The doors opened with Kyla and Sean walking in with slight limps to their step.

“I look forward to the good news you two.”

”Which you will not hear from us. The ambush went awry half way into the battle. A few from the order whispered to each other while the rest stayed silent. Kyla stepped forward to debrief all those there.

”We waited above the trail in the treeline where we were expecting the ambush to happen however as per usual, information was either withheld or misinterpreted as they came in the opposing direction of where we were expecting the attack. Improved defense tactics were made in record timing but we did not calculate on dealing with Highhill dwarven artillery in the distance.”

“So what of our troops?” Questioned a general, looking over at Sean.

“Originally we had 35 total for this mission.”

”We returned with less than half.” Her eyes met those at the table.

”We have to send in another reconnaissance team to acquire better intel. I suggest in a few days we do that.”

“Very well.” Nodded a commander.

”For us to get close enough we will need a distraction.”

Felix, who had remained silent for some time observing the meeting raised his hand and spoke up.
”I know just the distraction...I will request that Garax sends in some from his clan to assist. We will go on the offensive and attempt to seize here.” He placed his finger on the map on a Seelie outpost about 15 miles away. ” This seems to be a good position to take and give us the upper hand as it is one of the main routes for men and weapons. If we take this we can put a dent into their resources for a little while. Cynbel?” He looked to the faerie general for his input.

Cynbel nodded. He quietly stared at the map with his hand stroking his chin. “Here.” He pointed to the section of the map just east of the outpost. ”We will have a separate troupe from the fighters. When the front line has drawn out the Seelie, they will swarm in and torch the buildings. We have a few quick and talented fire mages, maybe even an elemental fey.” He nodded again. ”I like the idea of taking out their resources…. Weapons, healers.”

”But at the same time we could use this to our advantage as it could also push the lines back for the Seelie army. We could send some extra troops after its taken and make it a forward base of operations for our own.” Felix retorted.

The faerie swayed his head back and forth and tapped his fingers along the table, weighing the options in his head. ”That could work…. But…. I’d rather know the extent of their forces before doing something so bold. Depending on what other hidden allies they have at their disposal, we might not be able to hold it. If we burn it down, there is no risk of them taking it back.”

If they even have hidden allies. It is a risk for a reward”

“But a risk that General Cynbel isn’t willing to make as you can hear.” A captain of the fey quipped. The human commander sent the captain a look before turning his attention back to Cynbel.

”Say we go with the idea of torching the place and say you are wrong. We would have had a great missed opportunity to get one up from the Seelie. There’s a possibilty that it will be to our favor.”

”You are more than welcome to send your men off on whims of possibile opportunities. We have a much better offense than the Seelie, it is their defenses that we need to grind down. The more that we can take off of the table, the better.” the general stated coldly. The other Unseelie nodded in agreement.

”You’re not thinking strategically…” he sighed.

Cynbel raised both silver brows at Felix’s words. The general leaned forward, tenting his fingers up on the table. He was still calm, but his eyes showed the anger inside. ”Is that so?” he asked rhetorically. Felix looked up with a quizzical look before cursing himself mentally for the slip of the tongue. The slight smile toying on the general’s lips stood in stark contrast to the look in his eyes. ”I have been leading this army for the better half of a millennium, but please, human.” it was his first time using his race as a derogatory remark, “Tell me how to lead them.”

He slammed his fist on the table. ”Don’t patronize me, Commander! His voice rose and hardened yet he still regarded him by his title out of respect for rank. ”For half a millennium that may have worked but this isn’t just the Seelie and Unseelie war! No, this is a war that has a high chance of being a war on two fronts that...if we don’t take advantage of it now, will be the death of the Unseelie and all who live within this realm. I am trying to strategize with tactics I have learned over the years while you resort to what you know. What happened to the Unseelie code, Change is Good? Allow a change in tactics and see where it takes you.” slight exhaustion in his voice with the slightest hint of plea.

Cynbel crossed his arms over his chest and let out a low laugh resulting in a somewhat confused human commander. ”Hmhmhm… you’ve got some balls, using our words against me.” He was actually smiling now. ”You are right, change is good. That is the line I struggle with most… we will try this your way, Commander.”

Felix sighed in relief as his anger subsided, unconsciously nodding his head. ”Very well. I have heard that you acquired some goblins in the earlier part of the campaign. How have they been holing up?” He looked around the room.

“They haven’t seen action for a bit. We have had no major use for them yet.” Felix nodded.

”We will use them now. Have the goblins put up a smoke wall in front of their main gates. They should then expect an attack from the front. We will use volleys of arrows and what not to put them in a panic, focusing their attention to the smoke. Once they make that their primary focus. We will move in here, from the east, and flank them with the orcs. They will take the brunt of the attack but they should manage with Garax. Then we’ll send in the cleaning crew to finish them off. A few of your mages and ours to secure the outpost and then keep our main defenses there fortify here to here. Northwest to northeast. We will then bring in a few captains and other officers to put some input of their own but we can then move a portion of the main force forward. What do you think?” Felix looked at him with a thin smile.

”As I said, we will try this your way. The plan sounds solid enough. When shall we rally the troops?”

”Seven days from now. We have to make sure that they are well aware and prepared for this.”

Cynbel agreed with a nod ”Will Sulleykaar and Kiara have returned by then, do you think?”

Felix shrugged. He honestly had no clue. ”I wouldn’t count on it...But she would definitely be safe with him. If what was said before about her being trained...She won’t be back anytime soon.

Cynbel chuckled ”I’m not worried about her safety, she hardly needs anyone’s protection. I am sure she will be sad to miss the fight. Perhaps Sulleykaar will stand in as advisor and commander at a later date. We will make this call without him, then.”

Not concerned with the safety of his daughter? Felix thought with a perplexed look. ”You haven’t trained with Suls before, have you?” He deadpanned.

”Will that be all, then, Commander?” he asked Felix, speaking up for the room to hear clearly, completing ignoring the silly question. Why ask something that you know the answer to? ”Shall this meeting be adjourned?”. Felix looked around, silent for a moment before he nodded and stood up straight.

The Faerie-Orc-Human trio had developed a bit of a camaraderie during their time near the fighting pits. The ale was flowing and the laughs were aplenty. Garax was urging Cynbel to challenge him in the pits when Sulleykaar’s message came through. Cynbel looked over his shoulder when he heard the dragon’s voice. Sulleykaar was nowhere to be seen, though. Surely they had not had that much to drink yet. Garax laughed joyfully when he looked over at Cynbel. A puzzled look etched onto the Orc’s face.

”What’s the matter? Seen some beautiful creature in need of the General’s attention?” Felix, who at this point was tanked, whipped his head over to the two other commanders.

“Wutsh the mAtar! ARE WE BEING ATTA-” Before he finished his slurred exclamation, a spew of dwarven ale had made its way back up his esophagus and onto the bleachers below, gaining a few laughs, gasps and screams in the process.

”No, no. I think your dragon is trying to talk to me. It’s like he was right behind me, but he’s not there.” Cynbel looked over his shoulder again just to be sure. ”Or maybe after a thousand years, I’ve finally lost my sanity.” the faerie chuckled warmly, obviously much more comfortable now than he was earlier.

The Queen was writing out a scroll to send by raven to her to one of her spies posted in the Seelie Court when Sulleykaar’s message came. She set the feather quill down and looked around briefly. She had heard plenty of tales about his magick use, so such a feat did not surprise her. After finishing the letter, Morrígan headed back downstairs to ensure that the meeting room was prepared for an impromptu gathering. What on earth could the dragon possibly want now, he’d spent half a day in their midst and he was already attempting to alter the deal? This displeased her. When Cynbel did not show up promptly, Morrígan sent a guard to retrieve him, as he was probably quite busy acclimating the new soldiers in the training area.

Sulleykaar’s silence was different than before. It was eerie, more so compared to the crazy freefall event that happened earlier. Everyone was in there except for Sulley and Kiara. He looked at her with soft and yet worried eyes as he watched Kyla and two other Unseelie approach from behind Kiara, Kyla with bow in hand notched with two arrows.

”What I am about to do is going to be the biggest gambit of my three thousand year life but I need you to trust me. Can you do this for me….please?” He stared into her eyes intensly, waiting for at least a nod. He looked up to Kyla, uneasiness in his eyes. ”You know what to do…Kiara say nothing and let me do what i have to do. I promise on my word of honor that I will explain everything to you.”

”Hlyaer ae bréwyn.” Kiara said in Fae’len under her breath as she suspiciously looked up at him through her lashes… honor is a lie. Sulleykaar looked up to Kyla with a nod as she stepped behind him, putting Kiara on Kyla’s right side, away from the door. His hands once again gaining that ethereal flame as it spun, churned and condensed into a small maelstrom of energy in both hands. Carefully he placed his hands on the doors as the ball flattened into two discs. ”Fuuuuuuuuuuuus. ROH!” Time seemed to slow to a crawl. A cracked and splintered indentation made its appearance on the centre of the doors before the force outward yanked them off their hinges and over the heads of those gathered.

Kyla spun around the corner and let her two notched arrows fly straight and true. The advisor closest to Morrígan hand been hit in the jugular and begun to gasp for clean air as his lungs filled with blood. The second hit the middle advisor in the temple. Kiara let out a cry that was akin to the sound of a heart breaking.

“HYUMAE!” she called the woman’s name, but the arrow protruding from her temple would not allow her to ever speak again. Kiara’s irises turned the darkest color of sapphire as the death of the closest thing she’d had to a mother sank in. Tears threatened to spill from her eyes.

“Hyumae…” she echoed again, much more pathetically this time. This was her mentor, her guide as she grew up under the negligence of a war chief father. Why? Why did Sulleykaar want to do this to her? But it wasn’t him… Kiara turned her gaze from Hyumae’s corpse to the Unseelie faerie standing beside her. Her eyes went black and her sobs turned into a battlecry.

Kiara grasped the faerie’s bow and crushed the wood into splinters in her stoney fingers. Her fist hardened into obsidian-like material before she wound up to strike Kyla clear across the jaw. The force would be enough to break most creature’s necks, but she didn’t stop there. After Kyla’s arrows had made their mark it her attention was quickly brought to the battle cry that escaped Kiara’s throat. Her eyes widened as her face kissed the metallic fist of Kiara’s, shortly followed by the back of her head bouncing off the wall. Her onslaught was relentless. Another blow to the ribs and then to the shoulder on the opposing side of the previous strike with tremendous power. The titanic force behind Kiara’s punches pinned the faerie against the wall. Sulleykaar’s warning was the farthest thing from Kiara’s mind as she poised her sharpened fingers over Kyla’s chest, ”I’ll have your heart, traitor bitch!” she growled in the faerie tongue. Kyla’s eyes were wide as she struggled against her captor, her glamour failing on her every so often. “Kiara! You have to trust us! There is good reason! Please hear me!” Kiara raised her hand to the faerie’s throat instead. She didn’t squeeze with the intent to kill, but the intent to torture, letting only enough air pass to keep Kyla from passing out. ”No. You will speak no more.”

Simultaneously, Sulleykaar had aimed a second mighty thrust of air into the two closest to him, the back of their heads exploding as they hit the rocky wall. Cynbel had swiftly made his way to Sulleykaar with inhuman speed. Cold iron now pressed against the dragon’s scaly neck. Sulleykaar looked into the eyes of Cynbel as Cynbel’s bore into his. There was nothing but bloodlust in the war chief’s gaze.

Queen Morrígan stood up from her chair and the whole scene seemed to go in slow motion. She held up a hand to Cynbel to stay his blade and stepped forward. The fabric of her dress dragging along the cobblestone floor was like a pin dropping in ethereal silence. She stood before the dragon now, a sneer of disdain on her lips as her once beautiful form turned rotten. The flesh on the right side of her face was sloughed away and her nose and mouth morphed into a beak-like appendage. The iris and sclera of her eyes were the color of onyx beads. Black feathers sprouted from her left cheek and down her neck, creeping their way into the neckline of her dress. In a word, she was terrifying, embodying the monstrous nature of the Unseelie. To look at her was to look into the face of torment and death. If a simple talking out of line was enough to warrant the removal of a tongue, what then was Sulleykaar’s fate?

Cold, corpselike fingers settled on his shoulders, one hand on either side. Morrígan looked up at him with an eerie smile and tilted her head to the side at an unnatural angle. The smile turned into a flat line, and then a snarl as she plunged her hands down into his body, light protruding from his from where her hands dug him.. The sensation was chilling to the core, like being grasped by the reaper himself.

”You have only a few, precioussss," her serpentine hiss echoed against the walls, "words left before I send your soul to Nåm'hní. I suggest you choose them carefully, Mrywn." Her beady crow's eyes burrowed into the soul she spoke of, intent on tearing it free of its corporeal frame. Sulleykaar, who had for thousands of years seen many terrifing things that should have scared him, hadn’t felt fear like this since first meeting Ugin. However, his eyes were only slightly widened as to not fully let that feeling out but needless to say the Faerie queen could smell, no, feel it inside him. He stowed as much as he could to the side as he looked at her with a mix of determination and fear.

”Queen Morrígan, take a second look at those who were considered advisors. You will see something much different.” He glanced over at the bodies which now were no longer those trusted advisors but rather, shapeshifters. Mages at that. Each bearing the mark of the Children of Tiamat. ”Spies of the Children of Tiamat. They were put there one thousand years ago. It wasn’t until recently did I free your true advisors from their grasp. Nelrathian! Hyumae!” The pain was unbelievable. His sight gave out on him for half a second before coming back. The Unseelie that stood outside of room came in and swiftly knelt down in front of the queen as low as possible. “He tells the truth Your Darkness. We were stolen away from your Queendom and hidden away along with General Kyla.” Sulleykaar looked back towards the Queen. ”I haven’t represented the Children of Tiamat for close to a century. I needed them to be disposed of so i can offer you a proper agreement. I ask of you first to release me and Kyla so we may explain. When he looked at the queen this time, his eyes begged her.

Morrígan finally cracked a smiled. Her wraithlike hands remained within him, ”Begging looks good on you.” she said before painfully ripping her hands free of him. It wasn’t the kind of ripping she’d hoped for, but he didn’t deserve death… yet. ”This amendment you wish to make, it will be one in our favor. You owe us for your lies.” there was no room for argument in her tone.

Meanwhile, Kiara was seemingly frozen in time whilst Morrígan spoke. The raw, ancient energy that the monarch possessed was infrequently evoked in such a way. But soon, time would catch up to them all. Sulleykaar had pleaded for his life with colorful words that did nothing to quell Kiara’s rage. Spy or not, that was the only Hyumae she had ever known, and Sulleykaar had stolen that from her too. If he wanted her to stop, he would have to physically do so, as the Queen was content to let the revenge be granted.

Kyla watched with eyes wide open as the fist came careening towards her. It was only in her peripherals did she see sulleykaar. The two were separated in an instant and the dragon saved her once again, this time from an untimely and unjust demise.

Sulleykaar quickly turned his attention to Kiara and Kyla, his eyes dilated. ”Tiid Klo Ul!” while the rest of the room returned to normal speed, Kiara and Kyla were now isolated in a dome of transparent light, their movements crawling to almost a stop. ” Feim Zii Gron Wuld Nah Kest” His body became phantom like as he flew between them. ”Fus!” A simple blast of air separated the two of them as clutched her arm and yanked her out of the imminent fatality. The dome diminished as Kiara’s fist collided with the wall, tearing it away from the structure.

”I thank you for your mercy Queen Morrígan.” He looked back at Kiara with soft eyes, detesting the actions he had done to her. After a moment he brought his attention to the rest and exhaled a heavy breath. ”Hear me out please. Even after this I truly need you to hear me fully through.” He paused and waited for the silent yes, even if he wasn’t sure there was one. ” I retract my offer to lend you my Order for the land and instead give you the assistance of my Order at its fullest, 450,000 strong including my third party mercenaries and thieves. And I offer you my services as well but I only ask for this one thing... His head lowered slightly in defiance but held determination. ”Kiara remains with me..”

Kiara removed her fist from the rubble it had made of the wall. She sneered at Kyla and spat at the faeries feet disrespectfully, Kyla’s head held low. Such impoliteness was a slight of the very worst kind in their culture, a way of saying ‘know your place’. Queen Morrígan tsked her tongue “Come now, child. She has paid the price for her actions.”

At the Queen’s behest, Kiara let it lie. She was the only voice of reason that could speak to Kiara without the invocation of her true name. The rage still burned low in her gaze at the dragon, he was just as much to blame for her broken heart. Without regard to her glowering, he spoke of his proposed amendments to the contract.

Morigannes face lit up. The dragon had upped the deal considerable on his part, and offered to give up land the fey had granted him. ”Excellent!” The Queen tentatively stated in agreement. Kiara’s eyes widened at how lightly she had taken the fact that her great-granddaughter was still very much a piece of property in this deal. She looked at Cynbel, giving her father one last shot at redemption in her eyes… he remained silent - silent, but stupid enough to quickly glance at her. The disgusted and disappointed face that stared back at him was not his daughter’s, but Edana’s. It was plain to see that he was being just as disowned as Kiara felt in that moment.

”... on the condition that there will be nothing but honesty between us from here on out. I want an ally, not a snake. This will be put in writing, so that you will be bound by blood with the inability to lie, just as we are by our nature.” The Dark Queen’s glamour shimmered back into place as she perked up a shapely brow. At the snap of her fingers, a changeling that was shaking in fear of the whole situation placed a piece of parchment in her hand. An advisor then quietly stood and looked at the dragon.

“After what our Queen has stated, is there anything else you would like to tell us now before it’s too late?” He quirked an eyebrow. To Sulleykaar it was now or never and the dragon spoke up one last time.

”Very well... I plan on bringing down the Children of Tiamat and your daughter will be the one to do it… It was not a question but a confident statement. “What! How is she supposed to do that!?” An advisor exclaimed. ”I had a vision centuries ago where a creature of red and fire, and a girl of stone would unite darkness and light in order to bring the kin of the great red dragon back to the depths of Nåm'hní. In this vision, I am the creature of red and fire-”

“And you believe that Kiara is the girl of stone?” Finished the advisor. The dragon shrugged.

”Possibly. I cannot say for certain. When we were at the gates we had gotten into a slight scuffle and I used one of my many Old Scale spells at my disposal to stop her. For a time it did, until-” Cynbel glowered at the dragon, displeased with such treatment of his little girl. The dragon glanced over at Kiara with a smile before turning back to the rest with straight face. ”She managed to move a bit from it. Of course I wouldn’t use the fullest extent of it, but the fact that with even the slightest amount of power to it, she managed to resist… He paused for a moment to let that sink in. ”For close to a millenia and a half I have searched the realms for this certain girl and I feel that I have come across her. Kiara... I can say with confidence may be the one I was looking for and so I made her apart of the deal as protection from the others. They would have killed her or worse. My actions towards you at the den Cynbel-” He looked at the general with saddened eyes. ”I am truly sorry for. I had to maintain my image among them or else I would have been noticed and the chance to save the fey realm would be lost forever. I did what I had to for the greater good. I hope you can understand this.” He let his eyes look into every faerie there, settling on Kiara’s last. He would find her boldly staring back at him. The color of her irises now a dark, garnet red instead of abyssal black.

”You wish to teach me how to kill dragons?” she asked in a flat voice with an even more emotionless expression. Cynbel smirked behind Sulleykaar’s back in a tinge of fatherly pride.

”No… He stated stoically before offering a small smile. He leaned in towards her. ”I won’t be teaching you to kill dragons...I will be teaching you how to erase them from existence.” The corner of her mouth quirked up slightly.

”I accept these terms.” she said and then looked at her Queen and curtsied respectfully. Morrígan scrawled out the deal in elegant script rivaling that of the Elven tombs. Once finished, the Queen offered Sulleykaar the contract to seal first. When he went to sign, one of the advisors spoke up one last time, a question burning on his tongue.

“Queen Morrígan and Sulleykaar, if I may.” The dragon raised an eyebrow in a silent yes. “You said that in your vision you and Kiara are to take down the Children of Tiamat.” He nodded. “What is this uniting the darkness and light?” Sulleykaar looked down at the contract, quill in hand and placed it down. Queen Morrígan smiled knowingly, dragons weren’t the only ancient beings to see visions of the future. Slowly, he stood erect and took in a deep breath before answering with a statement of finality.

”I have only guessed at this but...She will be the one to unite the Seelie and Unseelie courts to defend against the Children of Tiamat’s forces.” It took only a moment before the advisor begun to chuckle, and the laughter became a virus. Sulleykaar grimaced before his hands flicked the air, exposing a real time picture and what the advisors saw made them gasp. ”There are, known to many, to be at least 7 realms in the surrounding feylines and the Children of Tiamat have reign over 6 of the seven. You can guess at who’s is not apart of this control. Their armies...no….legions are as vast as the realms and have control of the former kingdoms’ troops. 30 kingdoms to be precise. And my order is just a decimal compared to what they have.”

”And they are nothing before us.” Queen Morrígan said with the pride of faerie behind her words, to which Sulleykaar nodded in agreement. Whether or not she liked to admit it, uniting forces with her ancient, forbidden lover would make for an army to truly be feared. Her troops would not easily be convinced to get along with the Seelie, but that would be Sulleykaar’s job as Commander to inspire.

“Then when do you plan on teaching her this...” The advisor squinted his eyes. Sulleykaar smirked as he swiftly picked up the quill, signed it and finished it off the same way he did at the den with burnt blood and paper.

”Right now.” He gave the Queen a simple nod and turned heel, Kyla in tow. ” Kiara come... We have work to do.” He turned his head towards Cynbel with a straight face. ”I suggest that the ambush still goes as plan not to bring attention to the Children of Tiamat.”

“Of course it will, we are at war with the Seelie.” Cynbel said matter-of-factly. Dragons wars might be the future, but this was the present. Kiara was not pleased at being ordered around once more, and even less enthused by having to walk beside the turncloak broad. But, she had a role to play and a dragon to learn how to erase from existence. Maybe, if she was lucky, Kyla would find somewhere else to buzz off to… but, as this day had proceeded to prove, Kiara was anything but lucky.

Well, it is San Fran.... soo, gay bar? "Jay, don't you dare go without me!" - Tish

Huzzah!!!

Mentions of: The Squad

Tish watched as the members of the squad milled about and prepared for the day. Lia was the busiest one, flying across the room to get this and that before she had to head out on her shift to clean rooms. The shifter nibbled a corner of her granola bar off, savoring each bite as she stared out the window. The sun looked bright and warm in the sky, despite it being January. The Californian climate was much different from New York, it already felt like early spring here, while they had left a city blanketed in snow just a few days ago.

”You’re heading out too, right?” Ophelia addressed her, breaking Tish out of her gazing stare. The ginger girl seemed to be unknowingly focused on her hair, causing Tish to smooth out her bangs self-consciously. Shit, she must have looked like a real goof, she didn’t even think to look in the mirror before joining the group out here.

”Uhh, yeah. I was going to head out out and see if I can find some work and maybe get to enjoying this weather.” Tish scanned the small crowd and half-frowned ”I mean, at least one of us had to… sorry guys, shifter privilege?” she said with an awkward laugh/sigh. She felt bad, honestly, she wished they could leave the stuffy motel room too! If she could shift them all, she would, but that isn't how it worked.

Lia addressed everyone else then, telling them to stay safe. Tish gave the obligatory eye roll, followed by, ”They're going to be fine, Mama Bear.” She finished the rest of her breakfast snack and tossed the wrapper in the trash.

“I think you’re going to like my surprise Tish.” Lia said, catching her before she headed into the bedroom to change into her new self for the day. Tish raised a shapely brow at the redhead, obviously intrigued. When she remarked that it had ’pizazz’ with a cheesy smile, Tish chuckled.

”Knowing you, that means we’re probably playing bingo like old folks or something.” she jibed playfully, but she really was looking forward to whatever break from the usual they would have tonight. Tish wondered what the special occasion might be.

When Lia left, Tish took over the bathroom to change her clothes and perfect her appearance for the day. Today, she would be a 14-year old boy and she would go from house to house offering to mow people's lawns for cash. It wouldn't rake in much, but it was something ordinary, cute even, and it would leave her relatively unnoticed. Just a neighborhood kid looking to make a buck off the elderly, and maybe snag a homemade cookie or two in the process.

First, Tish looked at herself in the mirror. She closed her eyes and focused on the image in her head, just like her father told her to. ”Clay. Imagine that your body is clay, and you are a potter. You can create anything out of yourself, all you have to do is see it in here.” he had said, punctuating the last sentence by poking a finger to her temple. It was a better time then, when she was 5 years old, still innocent in her ignorance.

Regardless who he turned out to be, her father's lesson held true and when Tish opened her eyes a new face stared back at her. His hair was the color of wet sand and a speckling of freckles dusted his cheeks. Tish even gave his skin a rose hue to really sell the point that he spent a lot of time in the sun. Her height and weight hadn’t changed all that much, she was only a few inches shorter, but her biceps and shoulders were a bit more broad and defined now. She threw on a cotton t-shirt and basketball shorts that she had picked up at a thrift shop, before walking back out into the hotel room.

“Who do I look like today, Glo?” Tish asked and did a full turn for the photographer. ”Joey? Hector? Keith?” she tossed out the first few names that came to mind. Once she’d been given her pseudonym, Tish headed out to work the day away, keeping in mind that she should get home in time to shower before whatever Lia’s ‘surprise’ was.

Interacting with Samatha @FallenTrinity and Morgan @FateWeaver, mentions of Sulleykaar

”Three hours? Damn. Looks beastly!” The girl said with a whistle.

”Thank you?” Kiara replied with uncertainty. Some of the slang the students here used in the common tongue went over her head. The lycans body language suggested that she liked it though.

”One of your lovers? Damn girl how many do you have?” she asked in response to Kiara’s earlier comment. The faerie smiled crookedly.

“Significantly less here than in Faerȗn, but there is always room for more.” her grin widened. Kiara was about to ask for the girl's name when a loud roar could be heard in the distance. Kiara could feel the trees shiver in response. Following the sound came the smell of smoke and cinder. The faerie wrinkled her nose in disgust, recognizing the scent all too well.

”What the hell is that look for? We gotta get outta here! I’m not about to fucking be that thing’s lunch!” Kiara chuckled at her response.

”Oh, he has a big mouth, but he’s not going to eat you with it… more likely to talk you to death." Kiara explained. "That is our class president, Sulleykaar, the dragon everyone is always talking about.” she rolled her eyes at the last part. Ghost was now cowering against the girl’s legs for safety. ”Not feeling so macho now, ehh boy?” she said to the white wolf with a taunting giggle.

Kiara turned around at the sound of crunching leaves underfoot. Morgan was walking towards the trio. Kiki gripped the painting in her hands nervously. It was made with her hands alone, and not a hint of magick, so it was nothing like his ice lotus.

”Morgie,” Kiara greeted with a polite curtsy, as was custom for her people. “This is --”, Kiki looked at the lycan girl for a name, ”Samantha” she echoed Samantha’s reply. ”I was just telling her that I made this painting for you. It’s still a little damp, try not to smudge it.” Kiara carefully offered him the gift with a warm smile. She then noticed that he was barefoot like herself. ”No shoes? Am I rubbing off on you already?”
