║ Gender & Sexual Orientation ║ Female (transgender) / Homosexual
║ Occupation ║ Thrift Store Cashier
║ Appearance ║
Eren pretty much looks like the exact midpoint between masculine and feminine. She’s skinny and angular, with almost no body fat. Her face is youthful, with dark brown eyes and expressive eyebrows. Her skin is pale, with a few freckles, and she has a scar through her right eyebrow (from falling out of a tree when she was young). Eren’s hair, naturally black but dyed deep red, is short and sloppily cut (she does it herself) with an almost perpetual bed-head. Her wardrobe can generously be described as lazy. Eren mostly wears band t-shirts, distressed jeans, and jackets at least two sizes too big. She wears a lot of black and other subdued colors, like maroon and olive green. She has a tattoo on each wrist, a My Chemical Romance spider logo on the left and her favorite piece of manga art on the right.
Her stage outfit consists of a white button-down shirt, black suit jacket, black jeans, combat boots, a bright red tie, and black fingerless gloves.
║ Personality ║
The thing that stands out the most about Eren is her sense of humor. It’s… slightly worrying, to say the least. She often jokes about depression, suicide, and the meaninglessness of life. The way she talks about dark subjects can be deeply concerning, but it's honestly harmless. Laughing about her personal issues and nihilism is pretty much the only thing keeping her from spiraling into a nervous breakdown. Behind the dark jokes and apparent callousness, though, Eren is a very open-minded, genuine person. She's easy to get along with and she always means what she says. Though she has barely any control over her emotions and mental state, she’s actually pretty good at giving advice.
║ My Dreams ║ "Make some art, have some fun, and maybe make enough money for hormone therapy.”
║ Name ║ Nami Koide
║ Birthday & Age ║ October 1st, 1996 (age 20)
║ Gender & Sexual Orientation ║ Female / Asexual
║ Occupation ║ Beauty Store Associate
║ Appearance ║
Nami’s face looks very similar to her sister’s, but more round and feminine. She has an average body type, short and modestly curvy. Her hair reaches her upper back, with straight-cut bangs and thick waves (It takes her about 45 minutes every morning to get her hair at least manageable). She wears plenty of goth fashion, dressed in mostly black and dark colors. She likes skirts, dresses, and knee-high tights. She wears jewelry often, usually necklaces and rings with skulls and other morbid designs. Her outfits are always mostly black, with highlights of one other color, typically red or purple. She likes patterns, partial to plaid and houndstooth. She has a tattoo of a planchette on the back of her neck.
Her stage outfit is a white lolita-style dress with red highlights, a frilly headband, a medical eyepatch, gauze bandages wrapped around her arms and legs, and black creepers.
║ Personality ║
Both professionally and socially, Nami is the face of KUROGURO. She’s much more friendly and charismatic than her sister, but just as morbid. She revels in horror and gore with potentially unsettling enthusiasm. She exemplifies the trope of the “perky goth.” Nami is incredibly caring, feeling a need to help anyone with problems, often ignoring her own needs in the process. She isn’t one to freely show her more negative emotions, preferring to just grin and bear it and pretend everything is fine. Because of her desire to be a support for her loved ones, she doesn’t like showing any perceived weakness.
║ My Dreams ║ “To have fun and make a career out of something I love!”
║ Autobiography ║ Eren and Nami were always close-knit. They were those twins who were always together, dressed the same, and sometimes pretended to be each other. The latter never worked, though, because they were different sexes. This fact always left Eren confused and a little frustrated. He always felt more comfortable with femininity, and calling himself a boy never really felt right. When bringing this up, Eren was met with skepticism from his parents and support from Nami. The twins often bonded over music, singing duets while Eren played simple tunes on the piano. They were fairly normal kids, until they were in middle school and made three hugely important discoveries: alternative music, anime, and the internet.
Everything changed for the Koide twins in middle school. They found alternative subcultures and dove headlong into them. Basically, they went through the dark-edgy-emo-scene-"IT'S NOT A PHASE MOM" phase. Eren started wearing dark eyeliner at all times, Nami wore neon tutus to school and wrote dramatic poetry, and the duets they'd sing changed from Hannah Montana to My Chemical Romance. Anime was another one of their shared obsessions. They were those rare Japanophiles who were actually Japanese, which gave them plenty of popularity among the other kids going through that phase. Their travels on the internet led them to LGBT communities, leading to Eren's earth-shattering revelation. He was actually a she. Casually bringing the matter up with her parents (without incriminating herself), Eren found that they were the absolute last people she should tell. They seemed to see transgender identities in the same light as mental illnesses: something very unfortunate that required therapy to fix. She told Nami, though, who naturally welcomed her new sister with open arms. The two matured quickly, and by the end of high school, had fully shed their shared “hardcore” phase. The next big change in their lives happened when they were 18 and Eren bought an electronic keyboard.
With their new keyboard, the sisters’ music took on a whole new level. Using a computer, they could produce new sounds, like other instruments and various synthesizers. It was then that they started actually recording their songs and posting them on YouTube. At first, they only posted covers, mostly of alt-rock songs and anime soundtracks. Their synth cover of A Cruel Angel’s Thesis was their first song to get them any kind of attention, and they gained more fans with covers of I Write Sins Not Tragedies, Tokyo Teddy Bear, and Kuusou Mesorogiwi. Their musical style was sort of dark Techno meets J-pop meets Emo, and their voices produced beautiful harmonies. They ended up having a modest following online, but not enough to gain attention outside of the fringes. During this time, they had been writing original songs, with Eren composing the music and Nami writing lyrics. They never released any, though. As they posted more covers, they started developing a brand, giving their videos a visual style and creating personas for themselves. They received multiple comments encouraging them to make their hobby into a career, and like fate, they heard that Endeavour Records was signing new talent. And thus, KUROGURO was born.
║ Reputation ║ KUROGURO only has a small following online. They are largely unknown even among other YouTube musicians. Though few, their fanbase is supportive and devoted. There do exist multiple fanfictions about them. Some of them ship the twins together. Eren and Nami find it weird, but flattering.
║ Extra information ║ Though KUROGURO hasn’t officially debuted yet, the image they have in mind is a darker take on Japanese pop idols.
║ Appearance ║ Standing at the very unfortunate height of five and a half feet, Lucas is no stranger to the plethora of insults that come along with being a short dude. He’s been at the lower end of the height scale all his life, so he’s relatively used to it by now. Unlike many of the other members of the emo scene, Lucas isn’t skeletal levels of skinny, he’s got just enough meat to him that a stranger might mistake his build for a muscular one (while it most certainly is not). Not too chubby, not too thin... ‘overwhelmingly average’ seems just about right.
Rocking a solid punk aesthetic, Lucas frequently indulges in decoration of his temple in the form of tattoos, piercings, and questionable hair choices. Currently his hair is a shaggy length of black tresses, but he has dabbled with mohawks, side swept bangs, and shaved sides that were either bleached to white or dyed vibrant red. Luke’s visible piercings are size 0 black plugs in both ears, a hoop set to the left side of his bottom lip, and a hoop through his right nostril. The list of his tattoos is far longer, but notable pieces include:
• Scorpion on the right side of his neck. • Scissors on the left side of his neck. • “NJ” on the inside of his bottom lip (stands for New Jersey).
• Our Lady of Sorrows-style Virgin Mary holding a heart with five swords on his left forearm. • A stabbed human heart, a wolf, a chainsaw, “Black Flag” logo, black rose with guns, a Japanese sun, many tiny stars, and bats all encompass a sleeve on his left arm. • A cobra on his right arm with “FTW” (Fuck the World) above it. • An anchor on on his right bicep with an “N” and “J” on either side (you guessed it, stands for New Jersey again). • “Forget Me Not” with a blue hand, a bloody tooth, Frankenstein, and a broken heart all in a sleeve on his right arm.
• “Hopeless” and a spiderweb on his right hand that pairs with “Romantic” and a half of a broken heart on his left hand. • “I wish I were a ghost” around his right wrist. • “Revenge” on his left wrist. • “BOOKWØRM” across his lower knuckles. • “HALLOWEEN” across his upper knuckles. • A hidden index finger moustache.
• “I Am A Graveyard” on his collarbone. • “Search And Destroy” around his hips with a swallow on either side of the ‘And’, one angelic and the other devilish.
• Two crossed pistols on his lower back. • “Keep The Faith” above a jack-o-lantern on his upper back.
• “Live each day as if it were your last.” on his thigh. • The Misfits logo on his left shin.
As for a style, well Lucas tends to just wear whatever is lying around from his laundry heap. Wrinkled, holey, studded, dark, ill-fitting, grungy - most of these terms could be applied to Lucas’ everyday wardrobe. He likes to dress in layers, even when it is hot outside, he can be found with long sleeves under a t-shirt, and when it’s cold he’ll toss a leather jacket in there too. Being among the emo crowd, he will occasionally wear fingerless gloves, eyeliner, studded belts, and skinny jeans - but he much prefers distressed (see also: ripped-to-shit) bootcut jeans. His shoe choice is either Chuck Taylor or Dr. Martens, no exceptions.
║ Personality ║ Pissed off.
About what, exactly? Anything and everything, as it takes very little to get Lucas upset. If he finds a situation unpleasant enough, he isn’t afraid to make it known by protesting. Loudly. A working theory is that, much like a chihuahua, Lucas’ small stature has lead to rather Napoleonic personality traits. Luke isn’t about to start any wars, but he will be openly and unabashedly aggressive in his attempts to get his point across, even when such behavior is socially inappropriate. Luke has little respect for rules, authority, limits, and boundaries, and he proudly sticks his middle finger up in the face of such constraints.
Lucas looks perpetually angry and nobody is quite sure why. Perhaps it is a case of that affliction that mothers often warn their children of - Lucas made a face for so long that it simply got stuck that way. Behind the fountains of aggression bottled up in a tiny punk body are the true colors of a boy that was bullied growing up. While young Luke might have been small, he was far from defenseless. Larger size is no match for unfettered crazy, and Lucas has the latter in abundance, even to this day. When shit gets real, Lucas doesn’t crack under pressure or run away, he faces the challenge with a fist held high. He isn’t afraid to stand up for himself, or for others, and he’ll go for blood if he has to. These traits makes him a valuable friend, and a fearsome enemy.
Both a prankster and a risk-taker, Lucas is prone to putting himself in harm's way in search of a few laughs, or the next high. On the topic of ‘highs’, drug use is one of the rock-and-roll clichés that Luke steers clear of. That being said, he chain smokes cigarettes like it’s his job, and has done so behind his parents’ backs since he was a young teen. Drugs may not be his scene, but that’s not to say that you wouldn’t find Lucas at a party. Hell, he’ll be the life of the damned party if the music and the booze is good enough.
All this may be true, but a human being cannot exist on past-teenage angst and rage alone, and Lucas is no exception. Luke is sensitive - a fragile heart protected by an abundance of studded-leather barriers. The people that he deems as his are the ones that he would both kill for, and die for, without question. When Luke isn’t amped up with anger or passion, he is often very quiet and contemplative. He likes to observe his surroundings, to listen to people during both the good times and the bad - the best creative inspiration is often pulled from these moments.
Lucas may not be the best at vocalizing his thoughts and emotions, but that is not to say he is expressionless. Luke has nothing to hide from the world, he puts pieces of himself into his art for those who care enough to look. Ambition in guitar riffs, heartbreak in stereo. In Lucas’ eyes, these hints of himself are plainly obvious in the music that he plays and the lyrics that he writes. He wears his heart on his sleeve, try not to break it.
║ My Dreams ║ Lucas wants to be the lead guitar in a band that makes it big… to be able to thrash around on stage, kick mic stands, aggressively destroy stuff and spit on the crowd, all while shredding riffs that he himself wrote, without having to worry about singing (aside from occasional screamed word or two, you know, for flavor). He also hopes to find real, meaningful, lasting friendships in his bandmates - some ride-or-die brothers and sisters.
║ Autobiography ║
They say you can take the kid out of the city, but you can’t take the city out of the kid. Truer words could not be spoken for New Jersey native Lucas Piccoli. Born and raised to an Italian American family in Trenton, New Jersey, Luke is oozing with pride for his roots - just in case the two NJ-themed tattoos don’t make that obvious, he’ll probably tell you about it as well. He loves his home state, and he only moved away from it recently.
Lucas grew up on the upper side of the middle class. His parents made just enough money to send their only child to a private catholic school, to keep him out of trouble and give him a good, proper parochial education. Yeah, that sucked. Uniforms, shiney shoes, nuns, religion class… it was hell. Knowing this fact about Lucas’ childhood lifts the veil of mystery on where his rebellious defiance of authority came from.
Bullying became a problem for little Luke in late elementary and early middle school. It all started because he was small and quiet (at the time), and such kids make easy targets. The middle school years were also when Luke realized that he was bisexual. He didn’t openly come out, but he did get caught staring a few times, and kids talk… so somehow the word got out. Unfortunately religion can lead to bigotry, and big ol’ bigots like to talk with their fists rather than their mouths. As it turns out, Lucas had a huge crush on the football player that most frequently liked to use him as a punching bag in the locker rooms after gym. His name was Tyler, and Tyler unknowingly changed the course of young Lucas’ life.
Luke went home from school after one particularly bad day and wrote out his feelings about not being able to help who he liked, Tyler, the boy with good looks and a solid right hook. These words were the beginnings of Lucas’ first song, which ended with the lyrics “God as my witness, I will never be a victim again.” And when Lucas went to school the next day, he wasn’t. He became a force to be reckoned with.
After saving up his allowance for months, Luke bought his very first guitar from a thrift shop. For years he had been sneaking CDs into his personal collection that his parents wouldn’t approve of… Black Flag, Misfits, Dead Kennedys, Nirvana, The Bouncing Souls, The Beastie Boys, Green Day. He fell in love with punk music, and he wanted to learn to play like his idols. So, once he had bought his own guitar, Luke began to relentlessly beg his parents to sign him up for guitar lessons. Eventually, they caved, and the foundation of Lucas’ path as a musician was laid.
In high school, Lucas honed his guitar skills and secretly auditioned for a local garage-style punk band called Detritus. His unrelenting passion and considerable talent landed him the position of lead guitarist without any deliberation, despite the fact that the majority of the band members were several years older than Lucas. Finally, Lucas had an outlet for all of his rage and pent-up aggression, and he was living for it. All was well for a while, but the inevitable drama of being in a rock-and-roll band caught up with them. The original frontman of Detritus flaked and left a vital position vacant.
Lucas never wanted to be a frontman, but it was better than losing the outlet that mattered most to him, so he stepped up to front Detritus when no one else would. Luke’s vocal range was limited, but his gravelly smoker's voice was well suited to the genre of music that they performed. He learned a lot in his years as a vocalist and, in time, he even came to enjoy it. The next member to flake on the band was the drummer - who had picked himself up a bad habit that got him shipped off to a rehab facility in the north.
The drummer’s sudden departure left Detritus with only two remaining members: lead guitarist and vocalist, Lucas, and bassist, Garrett. The two friends decided to call it quits, because you couldn’t really be a band without a drummer (or a real vocalist), and Garrett also had a baby on the way with his girl. Irritated (pissed off) at the unexpected dissolution of his band, Lucas made the rash decision to move to an entirely new city - and state - for a fresh start.
Living in Philadelphia proved to be neither cheap nor easy. Lucas worked multiple shit jobs in order to just barely make rent. He spent his nights skulking around venues, in the hopes of finding a semi-decent band to join up with. In this skulking, Lucas found himself in the basement of a bar called The Boneyard, speaking with a man named Mitchell. Luke told Mitchell what he wanted, Luke showed him what he had to offer, and the next thing Luke knew, he was being offered a new apartment and a deal. Lucas signed for the label because he wants to play lead guitar for a band that makes it big, really big, and he feels like he can find that kind of talent here.

You can be sure that any petty fights between employees won’t be due to me, in fact, I tend to try to keep the peace, so I’ll likely be the one getting folks to see common ground. Peace and love, dude, all about that peace and love. As far as my ability to do the job itself, well believe it or not, I’m kind of a neat freak. I know, that probably seems hard to believe, but don't judge a book by it’s cover! I really don’t like it when things aren’t neat and tidy, stuff gets lost otherwise, ya know? I mean, moral of the story is that anyone with half a brain can wash dishes, and I promise that I at least have half a brain.”
Tell the Truth: “I might be creative when it comes to problem solving, but that doesn’t mean I always make the brightest decisions. In fact, I’ve been known to make some pretty bad ones - but they’re always funny and people don’t get hurt... most of the time. Aside from that, I’m a free spirit that likes to take frequent jaunts into the ethereal plane. Best way to see the teachings of the creatrix is through green-tinted glasses, my dude. That is to say, I’ll show up to work faded a lot, I’ll probably take smoke breaks, and, yes, I might also be high right now.”
History: “From LA, born and raised. My family’s made up of a whole lot of average folks living the 9 to 5 American dream or whatever you want to call it. They’re nice enough, but kind of boring if you ask me, with the exception of my cousin Tish. She owns a dope tattoo shop downtown, does really great work too, seems the artist gene skipped our parents’ generation. Our grandma was the real deal, her paintings were out of this world, must be where we get it from. Anyway, I live to create and to do so freely. That life philosophy had me struggling in school, standardized tests and the forced teachings of subjects never jived well in my brain. I dropped out of highschool when I was 16 and have been doing odd jobs like this ever since. I make jewelry and other sculptures with metal, hemp, and stones that I sell on the web and at craft festivals, but it isn’t enough to pay the rent. I also play bass, but like I said, gotta pay the rent, so that’s just a hobby for now. I like LA and don’t have any plans to leave, but I’ll go wherever the winds whisper that my next destination is. No sense in fighting fate.”

║ Extra information ║ FC: Frank Iero Color: d8bb00 Equipment: Multiple Gibson SG’s & Epiphone Les Paul guitars, a Fender Stratocaster, a Gibson Les Paul, and Marshall amps.

Placing my interest here. @Erklings25 I have inspiration to write a lead guitarist to go along with Andrew, we could PM if you'd like me to tell you about him first? Hash out ideas and that. C:

Sell Yourself: “I can get along with just about anyone.

Sell Yourself: “When I want something, I go all in for it. Hiring me would be good for business, because a team can never have too many pretty faces, am I right? Of course I am! Aside from that, I like talking to people, that’s part of why I am becoming a hairstylist - charisma is in my nature. And all of the best waitresses have charisma too! I’m also no stranger to putting in hours of hard work. In high school, I went to required classes in the morning, cosmetology school in the afternoon, and held a part time job on the weekends and evenings. My time management skills are pretty stellar.”
Tell the Truth: “Listen. I said I was hard working, but I didn’t say I was always the best at balancing. Even the busiest of girls has to maintain a social life! I’ll try my best to always be to work on time - but you’ll have to cut me some slack on the weekends, I’ll more than likely show up a little late and a lot hungover. Also, I hope this place doesn’t have a uniform, because I really like to rock my own style - trust me, it’s good for tips. Lastly, I might get a little snippy with mothers who can’t control their demon children, the only saving grace for those monsters is if they have a hot dad.”
History: “I’ve only lived in California for about five or six years, I’m from Arizona originally. My younger sibling, Nikolai, went through a really tough time with bullying in middle school, so my family relocated for a fresh start. Fortunately, my Dad works for a pretty big company, so the transfer from Phoenix to LA wasn’t all that hard. Unfortunately, the move didn’t quite work as intended - Niki still struggles with… well, a lot. I got my fire from sticking up for Nik while we were growing up, but an older sister can only do so much, especially when she can’t see all of the battles being fought. Recovery is ahead, and together we’ll conquer this city with all of the power and beauty and love in the world. Speaking of beauty, that’s where I plan to make my living. I started cosmetology school half-time in high school and now that I have graduated, I study full-time. In about a year I should be certified and plan to find a position as a professional hairstylist.”
