Notorious fingernail biter, Trevor always chews his nails painfully short. Whatever, he’s an athlete, he doesn’t care if his hands look rough.
Being second generation Irish, Trevor learned some Gaelic when he was growing up, but the only thing he really remembers now are the curse words that his uncle Conor taught him in secret.
His signature scent is Dior Homme Intense. Trevor always smells good, whether it be through cologne, deodorant, or fresh out of the showers.

Everything is very up in the air now, but Trevor has three ideas of what he might like to do with his life after high school. Option one is becoming a cop, to protect and serve the people, like his grandfather. Option two is becoming a gym teacher, living and breathing sports, like his other grandfather. Option three is to join the military, putting his passion and athleticism to good use defending his country… and maybe to even be a hero someday.

Other than career goals, Trevor would really like to fall in love with a nice girl. Get married, have two kids, adopt a dog, and then buy a house with a white picket fence. Live the american dream, you know?

Abuse, neglect, truancy, abandonment, voluntary placement, incarceration, and death. Here you have a comprehensive list of the primary reasons that a child might be placed in the foster care system. For Trevor Wells, born Trevor Walsh, the last two reasons ring true. The story is as follows:

A house fire.

That is what a cautious and kind soul might call what happened, to skirt around the ugliness of the truth. There was a house, and there was fire, so it wasn’t a lie to call it that. That statement eliminates the hypophosphorous acid, and the accidental miscalculation of the temperature of the cook, and a very, very big boom.

”Three dead in suspected meth lab explosion”

Above was what the local Denver headlines read on that fateful day in Trevor’s history, whilst the five-year-old was safe and sound at school. Parents, Shelly and Matthew Walsh, and uncle, Conor Walsh, all passed away in the house fire that resulted from the explosion. The “suspected” meth lab was determined to be what was suspected, and upon a lengthy investigation and trial, the remaining immediate family that Trevor had in the area were incarcerated for their involvement in the local drug trade. Cooking meth was a family business in this case.

One might assume that the Walshes were nothing but degenerate criminals, and that Trevor’s childhood was a somber tale that you might see in a tear-jerking Hallmark movie. This assumption would not be true. Trevor was a very happy youth, and blissfully naive to his parents’ underground profession. The Walshes did what they had to do to provide for their family, and once you get into the business of crime, it’s hard to get back out. They loved their boy very much, and Trevor felt the warmth of their love and nothing less. To him, losing them was tragic.

Five years old is too young to learn what death means, let alone experience it through the loss of one’s parents. Trevor was alone, heartbroken, and ripped from the only world he had ever known. Without any immediate family available to gain custody, the young boy found his way to the Denver Children’s Home. While he was still quite young, Trevor was old enough to not be an ideal candidate for adoption. For some reason, American families tend to favor adopting babies and foreign kids rather than older children born on their own country’s soil.

Thankfully, young Trevor did not let the sadness of his situation consume him. The nuns believed in proper therapy for the children at the Home, so Trevor got the help he needed to discuss what had happened to him and his relatives. His family might be gone, but he could and would build himself a new home, there, and anywhere else. Trevor befriended many of the other boys and girls, as naturally charismatic and amiable as he was. Most notably among these friends was when Riley Reese arrived, two years after Trevor had.

Trevor was seven years old now, and he saw much of himself in the quiet dark-haired boy. He too was alone, heartbroken, and ripped from the only world that he had ever known. Not only that, but Riley seemed to be the same age that Trevor was when he first came to the Home. Trevor asked the boy if he wanted to be friends when he was silently playing in the dirt, away from the other children in the yard, and Riley has clung to Trevor’s side ever since.

When emo music icon Jareth Wells, frontman of Deciduous Dreams, and his husband, Remy Wells, were finally ready to start a family, they looked to nowhere else but their home state — Colorado. Jareth himself was a product of the foster care system, having lived in the Denver Children’s Home during his own youth, and it only seemed fitting to return there to adopt a child. The happy husbands had arrived with the intention of only finding one child. When the sisters introduced them to the currently unhomed orphans, however, they fell in love with the pair of ‘brothers’ that could only ever leave as a package deal.

And so it was, a dotted line was signed, and Trevor Walsh and Riley Reese, became Trevor and Riley Wells. And, honestly, the rest is pretty ‘happily ever after’. Trevor and his now official little brother, Riley, moved to California to live with their new dads in a less-than-humble abode fit for a famed rockstar and his beloved 5-star chef hubby. With more bedrooms than there were house residents, a heated pool, a hot tub, an in-house music studio, and a lavish kitchen equipped with all of the latest tech — what more could two little boys need? The answer is a committed and loving family, which they also had, in excess.

Trevor and his younger brother grew up in the Beverly Hills school system, graduating from elementary to middle, and finally to finish out their wealthy tax-funded education at Beverly Hills High School. Trevor was and always will be an intensely physically active boy. He started by joining little league baseball, which morphed into regular old baseball, in addition to football and ice hockey, when he came of age. Yes, ice hockey, in southern California. You might take the boy out of the mountains, but you couldn’t take the love of snow out of his soul. There are ice rinks in California, and that was close enough for Trevor’s liking. 

Being the avid jock and friendly dude that Trevor is, he has unintentionally climbed his way up the social ladder of BHHS. Alongside his good friends, Damian and Lawrence, Trevor is one of the founding members of this year’s revival of the highly esteemed Elite. Life’s good with the homies, life’s really good. It’s time to finish his last semester at BHHS and actually decide what the hell he is going to do with the rest of his life. Maybe… who cares, let’s party!

Naomi Riley Valencia: There is a mistake in the history section - it says "Unholy Trinity", instead of HOT. The Unholy Trinity was the original name for the group years and years ago, please edit it to say HOT.

“I wasn’t born in Beverly Hills, my siblings and I are actually from New York. Yes, the city, NYC, the place of legends and ridiculous tourism industry. It is just as fabulous as it is made out to be, trust me. The glitz, the glamour, the city that never sleeps because there are so many AWESOME things to do. Not to mention it being the home of Broadway, uhm, hello? I wish I could have been there as a teenager, I mean Beverly Hills isn’t so bad, but I think I will definitely return to my roots someday.

ANYWAY… where was I? Oh, right, I was born in another state, as were my two older sisters, Marjorie and Martelle. My father, his name’s Frederick, he has a high paying white collar job on Wall Street so, naturally, we were born and raised in the city. Yes, I said he has a job there, meaning he still has it. As you can see, I no longer live with him, and that is because my parents are divorced. Handsome ol’ man Freddie is a lying cheat and he bedded up with a harlot named Olivia, while still married to my lovely, wonderful, super awesome mom, Margot.

His loss, mom is the greatest and she deserves better than my dad’s divided affections. I mean, don’t get me wrong, he’s an okay father — I don’t think that he likes that I am gay very much, that’s whatever — but he was a shitty husband. My momma deserves the hottest piece of pool boy ass that Beverly Hills has to offer after the emotional turmoil that she went through. 

So, to continue my story, we’ve lived in sunny California for years now. Mom immediately dove back into doing the work that she loves, which is real estate, and she’s best damned agent in all of Beverly Hills. No, I’m not biased, she’s the best, check our bank account if you don’t believe me. Yeah yeah, a lot of our money also comes from Freddie’s support — like I said, he’s an okay dad, I’ll give him that, but we’re loaded because both of our parents are wealthy and successful in their own rights. While Mom was doing her thing, my Dad had two kids with Olivia, J.C. and Jasper, the former being a direct result of the affair scandal.

My sisters and I go on exciting and extravagant vacations with Freddie sometimes, last year it was Bali, so we get to see him frequently even though we live a whole country apart. On the topic of my sisters, they are kind of everything to me? I love them a lot. Now that I think of it, maybe spending so much time with all of these women is why I’ve come to express my feminine side so much? Who cares, it’s almost 2043, and I will live as PROUD and free as I want to be. Embrace the gay, my friends. Embrace it. Free hugs to all — unless you are Owen Lyon, you lyon adulterer!

On the topic of friends… I have many. You could say that I’m one of the queens~ of BHHS. That is to say, I am best friends with them, the Candies and the ones they call HOT, because they are hot, haven’t you seen them? I’m hella gay, but I still have eyes, and my girls are the cream of the crop, duh! And don’t you dare call them bitches in my presence, only I can call them that — as a term of endearment, and only in the proper falsetto. They are lovely girls if you take the time to get to know them. They’re just strong, opinionated young women, and you need a solid personality to take them for what they are, which is Fucking Fierce.

You’ll see my face around the halls, prowling for some hope of romance in this barren wasteland of a high school. Honestly, where the other hottie gays at? PSA: PLEASE, KINDLY STEP OUT OF THE CLOSET, SO I CAN HAVE A PROPER LOOK AT YOU. No, I’m not thirsty… okay, fine, I’m a little parched, if we’re being totally transparent here. You will also see my face on the stage. Theater is my life, I’m a thespian to the core. I’ve played a lead role in every Beverly Hills school production, both musicals and plays, since elementary school. I sing, I dance, and I have my sights set on Broadway. You will see my name in lights someday, I’m the star of the show.”

Often struggles to maintain eye contact with people, especially if they are strangers to him. Having his emo fringe parted to the side makes it look like that is the reason that he crookedly peers at people, but it is more of a social quirk than a physical obstruction of his vision.
Volatile — Has issues with a his quick temper and anger management. JD sees a therapist biweekly, is on mood stabilizers, and has intense hobbies to help treat the severity of his disorder.

Music runs in Johnny Dixon’s blood, touching nearly every aspect of his life since long before he was even a twinkle in his parents’ eyes. His grandfather, James Dean Hardy, whom he has inherited the nickname “JD” from, was the guitarist for a rock band called AXIS before he got involved with a woman and a “Maple Syrup Farm”  that wasn’t really a maple syrup farm and eventually found himself incarcerated… which is really a story for another day, or never, preferably. 

Prior to his misdealings, JD Hardy had a daughter named Regina “Sin” Hardy, who went on to be a famous musician in her own right. Sin started off as the drummer of a band called Twisted Fates where she ended up falling in love with a man that is not Dixon’s father. That came later, after the break up and Sin leaving both the band and her Canadian-born life to start fresh in the United States — specifically Las Angeles, California.

Dixon’s father is a man named Lucas Piccoli. Luke is a proud (very proud) New Jersey-born punk rocker. He too was in a band prior to moving to LA, a band by the name of Detritus, for which he was simultaneously both the lead guitarist and the lead vocalist. Much like it’s namesake, the band amounted to being nothing more than a waste of time and efforts when many of the founding members abandoned their callings in favor of drugs and women. This pissed luke off, so he also uprooted his life in search of greener pastures.

Time and circumstance seemed to work out just right for Lucas and Regina, as they found themselves in LA just as Dominus Records was in search of new talent. It wasn’t just the record company that was scouting, but an established guitarist under the company named Jareth Wells, who was seeking to form his own band as a frontman. And so, the massively popular emo revival band known as Deciduous Dreams came to be, with Jareth on vocals, Lucas on guitar, Sin on drums, and additional members to follow.

Despite past failures when it came to relationships with bandmates, Lucas and Sin began to gravitate towards each other. The pair had a vicious, explosive type of chemistry that lended itself to falling in lust more than falling in love. Lust had consequences, and it wasn’t very long into their “relationship” before Regina found herself knocked up. The prospect of parenthood was terrifying for the both of them… they were young, unmarried, and starting out their new lives with a brand new band that seemed to be going places — and going places fast.

Lucas did the only thing that he could think to do to change one of those three facts. He proposed. They might have acted like what they had wasn’t love, out of fear or denial or whatever internal reasoning they had, but they were in love, and they were having a child. Marriage seemed like the next logical step. That being said… they didn’t get married until a few years later, long enough for Dixon to be the ring bearer in his own parents’ wedding.

Deciduous Dreams made, and continues to make, the band members and the record company a lot of money. In Johnny Dixon’s early years, he was cared for by expensive nannies and wanted for very little while his parents went on tour with the band. As he grew older, being raised by nannies in the absence of his parents began to feel lonely and cold. Dixon proposed that he be able to stay with his friends, Trevor and Riley, whom the frontman of his parents’ band had just recently adopted. The boys were all within four years of each other in age, and they got along quite well in the very frequent times that their parents hung out together. 

Remy Wells happily agreed to take care of JD in addition to his own two boys while Jareth, Sin, and Luke travelled with the band. And so, Dixon came to be the honorary younger Wells brother. The three could often be found hanging out in the tree house in the backyard pretending to be pilots, or hunters, or astronauts, or whatever the imaginative career choice of the day was. To this day, the tree house remains sentimental to the trio, and they go there to think or nap or simply to have brotherly conversations.

When JD wasn’t spending time with the Wells, it was likely because his parents were home. Being an unproclaimed mama’s boy, Dixon is happiest when his parents are around. It’s not that he doesn’t support his parents’ career choices, he is actually very fond of the fact that both of his parents are rockstars, and looks the most like the child of a rockstar out of the entire bunch that attend BHHS. He just… really misses them when they are gone, that's all. Remy Wells and Troy Lyon are both like fathers to JD, but they aren’t nearly as cool as his real father, or his mom! Much like the shining metal of their namesake, the Sterlings are worth money. Serious amounts of money. Dirty money. That last part is a well kept secret, of course, because it has to be. Not even the Sterling children, nor their mother, know the full details of where their wealth comes from. Pearce Sterling, Selena and her twin brother Sean’s father, knows a great deal about the source of their cash flow. Pearce is the primary banker for Helmsley Enterprises investments, and their sometimes less-than-legal business ventures, of course. While the twins’ mother, Cassandra Pearce (née O’Brian), may be as naive as the rest of the world as to what goes on behind closed doors at Helmsley Enterprises, she is no less involved than her husband is. Cassie’s father, Joseph O’Brian, is the head Christopher Helmsley’s hand-picked legal team. As it happens, Cassandra and Pearce did not meet through purely random happenstance.

Cassandra and Pearce met in their early twenties, through the unknown intervention of their fathers. Falling in love came surprisingly easy, given what a handful of a personality Cassie could be. Latinas, man, they have fire in their blood, even if they’re only half! Cassie and Pearce married after a few years of courtship, and waited until they were almost thirty to have their first child. What was meant to be their first child, was actually a set of twins. Surprise!

Selena and Sean Sterling were quite the lively pair from the very beginning. Selena was colicky, and Sean took forever to potty train. Selena also picked up an arts and crafts hobby at an early age, coloring on walls, and gaining an unyielding obsession with glitter. Growing up, there wasn’t a day of the week that Selena wasn’t covered in sparkles - earning her a family nickname, which was then brought to the school halls by her brother, and the name stuck among fellow students as well.

The rambunctious nature of their twins, and the very large task of raising two children of the same age at the same exact time convinced the Sterlings to put off having more kids until, probably never, honestly. Such plans worked… for a time. Fast forward to seven years later, when Cassandra thought she was too old to have any more children, and the Sterlings accidentally found themselves pregnant again. And, because fate can be cruel, and older women produce more FSH, they were blessed with yet another set of twins. Two sets of twins, seven years apart. Selena and Sean’s siblings, named Alistair and Amanda, are currently in 4th grade.

As Selena grew into her teens, she became no less girly. In fact, many might argue that she became more girlish! To this day, her bedroom is luxuriously decorated in delicate pink and purple hues, looking very much like something out of Barbie’s dream house, or an American Girl magazine. Taking after her mother — who works as a celebrity makeup artist and stylist — Selena started experimenting with makeup when she was just a child. Selena never had those awkward middle school makeup years, like some of her other classmates did, because Cassandra would never let her daughter look foolish in public, not with her own reputation as an artist at stake! What she did not learn from her mother, Selena was taught through her hobby of watching beauty gurus on YouTube. That being said, even without makeup, Selena is gorgeous.

Wealthy, stylish, and no stranger to rubbing elbows with actual celebrities - Selena fits in well with the rich, preppy crowd of the Beverly Hills High. Also being distantly related to Trixie, Selena naturally gravitated towards the notorious HOT girls. Most students in school know the pretty blonde junior that hangs out with HOT to be the “IT Girl-in-training”, and assume that she will be the one to take the reigns of the established bitch queen tyranny, by both Ophelia and her cousin’s side, after Hailey graduates this year.

True love can be found amidst vinyl seats, home fries, and a vintage style jukebox. All you need is a little sunshine… The Sunshine Diner, that is. Kathryn “Rin” Zabrecky and Wesley Clay met at the diner when Rin was just a teenager. It wasn’t love at her first sight, lust maybe, but it was more of a game of cat and mouse than anything for a while. They were both young and dumb, and somehow they just… worked.

Rin was putting herself through beauty school when she started seeing Wes officially. Wes, on the other hand, was fronting a garageband that seemed to be going nowhere named The Lone Rangers, alongside his brother, his stoner friend, and his roommate. It just so happened that the stars aligned above LA a few years later, because this little garageband with it’s shitty name somehow got noticed by none other than Dominus Records. Working at a diner that occasionally hosted celebrity clientele had it’s perks, apparently.

There was a catch in the record deal, however. Wes and the boys had to choose a new name. After much deliberation, the group decided on Mutiny of the Groove, which still garnered more than a few eye rolls. Anything was an improvement to The Lone Rangers, however, so it was accepted and… surprisingly enough, the band took off. MotG, as it has commonly been abbreviated, has a unique sound — modern rock with roots in bass-heavy funk and classic 80s hair metal guitar riffs.

The eccentric young couple, though they had the money to do better, got married in a Las Vegas drive-thru chapel. The ceremony somehow gracefully danced the line of being both charming and obscene, and that perfectly described the Clays’ relationship… so it was, well, perfect. Long after their wedding day, the couple remained as amorous as ever. Many might have thought them to be sex addicts and, truly, they weren’t wrong to think that.

While the Clays did engage in frequent relations, Rin absolutely did not want children. But of course, no one is perfect, and Kathryn may or may not have missed a pill or two and oops. A fruit of their labor had blossomed. Wesley was away on tour with the band when Rin finally came to terms with what her late period meant. Wes found out that he was going to be a father over Skype, which was arguably better than a phone call or a text, but not ideal.

Despite neither of them having a desire to be parents, it turned out that they weren’t absolutely awful at it. Rin was unwilling to test that theory with a second point of data, however, and immediately got an IUD after Shiloh was born. Shiloh grew up in a commune, of sorts. They say it takes a village to raise a child, and Shiloh was raised by not only her two parents, but also her “uncle” Lenny(that stoner friend from the band), her actual uncle Wade, her mother’s non-binary sibling Nik, and the final MotG band member, Cooper.

Growing up, Shiloh inherited a little bit of each of those people that poured into her life. Her personality, fashion-sense, and tastes are all a blend of the eclectic group’s own personas. Shi likes the color pink, wearing ridiculously poofy skirts and dresses, and getting her hair done — just like her mother. On the flip side, she loves chilling out and wearing vintage rock band tees and listening to the same styles of music as her rockstar dad. Lenny taught her how to properly light a joint and “bask in the cannabliss”. Wade taught her how to be an absolute menace behind a drum kit (in all the best ways). Cooper taught her to embrace her own creativity, which lead to her picking up photography and writing as hobbies. Nik taught her to be open-minded, and to accept herself at a very young age, no matter what that meant — and if she ever needed someone to talk to, it could always be them. Shi came out first as bisexual and then later as a lesbian to her agender pibling(parent’s sibling) before she officially did so to anyone else.

On the topic of sexuality, Shiloh was certain that she liked girls as early as elementary school. Girls were pretty, and they liked the same things that she did, most of the time. Going into middle school, Shi tried to like boys too. She came out first as bisexual, and openly dated both genders for a time. This is when she realized that preteen boys, quite frankly, were stinky: And dick wasn’t all that it was cracked up to be. In fact, the first time a boy dropped trou for a blowie in 8th grade, Shi stood up and left him wanting and waiting — only to dump him via text later that night. As it stands today, Shiloh maintains her status as gold star lesbian(not that she cares for labels), despite her years of bicuriosity.

Next came high school. Now that Shiloh was firmly and decided gay, it was time to play. She was young and cute and appeared to be playfully naive, all of which landed her in many a bed of the upperclasswomen of BHHS. Among these women was Shauna Flynn, Beverly Hills High’s own thespian, lesbian, playgirl, misanthropist. Unlike many of Shauna’s so-called “victims”, their brief and wild tryst did not leave freshman Shiloh teary-eyed or brokenhearted. Quite the opposite happened, in fact. Shauna was one of many girls that helped Shiloh figure out what she liked and what she wanted out of sex and romance, and the two of them remain on amicable terms.

Going into the second semester of her sophomore year, Shiloh appears to be playing the field significantly less. Now that she has participated in the game, she just might be looking to find a proper match up. Surely there is a shiny legendary hiding in the tall grass of these school halls that would be willing to romance “that girl with pink hair”.

She doesn’t flaunt it, and she certainly doesn’t make a habit of spending her parents’ money — most of what she spends, she has earned herself (with a little start up cash for her home business from mommy and daddy, of course).
Dahlia is bilingual, speaking both spanish and english, and is mixed race — ¼ Puerto Rican, ¼ Mexican, ¼ German, ¼ Italian.

Going too deep. Dahlia is careful with practicing her craft, and does her best to steer clear of dark magic. She’s well aware of the risks of doing things like trying to talk to the dead — she’s not about to accidentally catch the attention of a demon by messing around with the other side… but she is curious.
Falling in love. It sounds dramatic, and Dahlia would never admit it out loud, but she is afraid of love. Romance is intriguing, sure, and she loves to guide other people towards finding it in her tarot readings, but for herself? No, it’s terrifying. Love leads to heartbreak, or worse yet, she could end up in a situation like her parents. Dahlia can’t tell if they actually have a loveless marriage, but it certainly doesn’t seem like a happy one all the time.

In what world does the daughter of the CFO of Helmsley Enterprises, one of the richest companies in the nation, wind up being a misfit teenage witch? In the Rothstein’s world, that’s what world. Dahlia’s family has been a mess from the start, that start being when twenty-three year old rookie criminal, Judah Rothstein, ran straight out of a gang fight and into the arms of a high school dancer, Mia Daniels. Yes, it’s entirely as bad as it sounds, and it never really improved from there. Judah’s young adult bout of cradle robbing was not the first, worst, nor last of his criminal activities. It wasn’t all bad though, as he formed close relationships along the way — most notably, a best friendship that turned into a lifelong career partnership with Ryan Helmsley. And, of course, this lifestyle led him to meet the love of his life, Mia, his dancing queen.

Dahlia might role her eyes at that phrase. It’s hard to buy that Mia is the love of Judah’s life from the way that they treat each other. Doll’s father is grossly unfaithful, and her mother is a bit temperamental, and that combination of traits has bred years upon years of tension and fighting in the Rothstein home. Through all of this turbulence, the pair stayed together, whether it be for the kids, the money, or because they actually do love each other. That said, their fighting still certainly had an impact on Dahlia.

Doll was 10 years old when she rented a book out from the public library that would come to change the world as she knew it. It was an introductory book on Wicca, aimed at a younger audience. As a member of that target audience, it was enough to spark an interest in young Dahlia. Magic promised to help her take some control of her own life, control that she so desperately wanted and needed. An it harm none, do what ye will. So far, Dahlia hasn’t harmed anyone, and she is definitely doing as she wills. Practicing the craft has given her freedom, and a much-needed escape from her messy reality.

One introductory book turned into two, then three, then dozens. Margot Adler, Raymond Buckland, Phyllis Curott, Janet & Stewart Farrar, Dorothy Morrison… Dahlia can’t get enough of reading up on all of the modern neo-pagan works. Gia’s natural curiosity and love of history have helped her to develop and grow as a practicing witch. Folklore, mythology, strange historical events, spiritualism, culture, astrology, tarot — there is so much out there to be studied and explored! The teen actually runs a Tumblr blog on witchcraft to keep track of her studies, and to interact with other like-minded individuals for collaboration and discussion. Dahlia’s hobbies might be weird, but they are hers, and nobody can take them from her. She embraces who she is, even if her classmates do not (with some exceptions, like fellow wealthy weirdo, Brian Helmsley). Dahlia isn’t your typical rich bitch, and she never wants to be. In fact, she prefers when people don’t know the significance of her last name.

The ‘urban’ side. I said used to… ‘cause it turns out schools don’t like it when you bring a knife in to deal with assholes. “Don’t bring that knife in again,” they said when they suspended me. Turns out they really didn’t like it when I brought in a different knife and answered “well, it’s not that knife” in response to their questioning on why I did it again. If they wanted people to follow their rules, they should have been more specific with ‘em. So… now I find myself at a school for ‘troubled youth’, so, I guess I’m a ‘troubled youth’. I actually kinda like this place better, I think they get more tax funding than my old school or something? ‘Cause we have an auto body shop, and like other trade school stuff. I caught me a few of the honeys studying cosmetology a few halls over, so it ain’t half bad here at all. Plus, I get to work with my hands in the shop, and picked up mechanic skills this past year and a half. This works way more for me than regular school ever did. Abuse, neglect, truancy, abandonment, voluntary placement, incarceration, and death. Here you have a comprehensive list of the primary reasons that a child might be placed in the foster care system. For Trevor Wells, born Trevor Walsh, the last two reasons ring true. The story is as follows:

A house fire.

That is what a cautious and kind soul might call what happened, to skirt around the ugliness of the truth. There was a house, and there was fire, so it wasn’t a lie to call it that. That statement eliminates the hypophosphorous acid, and the accidental miscalculation of the temperature of the cook, and a very, very big boom.

”Three dead in suspected meth lab explosion”

Above was what the local Denver headlines read on that fateful day in Trevor’s history, whilst the five-year-old was safe and sound at school. Parents, Shelly and Matthew Walsh, and uncle, Conor Walsh, all passed away in the house fire that resulted from the explosion. The “suspected” meth lab was determined to be what was suspected, and upon a lengthy investigation and trial, the remaining immediate family that Trevor had in the area were incarcerated for their involvement in the local drug trade. Cooking meth was a family business in this case.

One might assume that the Walshes were nothing but degenerate criminals, and that Trevor’s childhood was a somber tale that you might see in a tear-jerking Hallmark movie. This assumption would not be true. Trevor was a very happy youth, and blissfully naive to his parents’ underground profession. The Walshes did what they had to do to provide for their family, and once you get into the business of crime, it’s hard to get back out. They loved their boy very much, and Trevor felt the warmth of their love and nothing less. To him, losing them was tragic.

Five years old is too young to learn what death means, let alone experience it through the loss of one’s parents. Trevor was alone, heartbroken, and ripped from the only world he had ever known. Without any immediate family available to gain custody, the young boy found his way to the Denver Children’s Home. While he was still quite young, Trevor was old enough to not be an ideal candidate for adoption. For some reason, American families tend to favor adopting babies and foreign kids rather than older children born on their own country’s soil.

Thankfully, young Trevor did not let the sadness of his situation consume him. The nuns believed in proper therapy for the children at the Home, so Trevor got the help he needed to discuss what had happened to him and his relatives. His family might be gone, but he could and would build himself a new home, there, and anywhere else. Trevor befriended many of the other boys and girls, as naturally charismatic and amiable as he was. Most notably among these friends was when Riley Reese arrived, two years after Trevor had.

Trevor was seven years old now, and he saw much of himself in the quiet dark-haired boy. He too was alone, heartbroken, and ripped from the only world that he had ever known. Not only that, but Riley seemed to be the same age that Trevor was when he first came to the Home. Trevor asked the boy if he wanted to be friends when he was silently playing in the dirt, away from the other children in the yard, and Riley has clung to Trevor’s side ever since.

When emo music icon Jareth Wells, frontman of Deciduous Dreams, and his husband, Remy Wells, were finally ready to start a family, they looked to nowhere else but their home state — Colorado. Jareth himself was a product of the foster care system, having lived in the Denver Children’s Home during his own youth, and it only seemed fitting to return there to adopt a child. The happy husbands had arrived with the intention of only finding one child. When the sisters introduced them to the currently unhomed orphans, however, they fell in love with the pair of ‘brothers’ that could only ever leave as a package deal.

And so it was, a dotted line was signed, and Trevor Walsh and Riley Reese, became Trevor and Riley Wells. And, honestly, the rest is pretty ‘happily ever after’. Trevor and his now official little brother, Riley, moved to California to live with their new dads in a less-than-humble abode fit for a famed rockstar and his beloved 5-star chef hubby. With more bedrooms than there were house residents, a heated pool, a hot tub, an in-house music studio, and a lavish kitchen equipped with all of the latest tech — what more could two little boys need? The answer is a committed and loving family, which they also had, in excess.

Trevor and his younger brother grew up in the Beverly Hills school system, graduating from elementary to middle, and finally to finish out their wealthy tax-funded education at Beverly Hills High School. Trevor was and always will be an intensely physically active boy. He started by joining little league baseball, which morphed into regular old baseball, in addition to football and ice hockey, when he came of age. Yes, ice hockey, in southern California. You might take the boy out of the mountains, but you couldn’t take the love of snow out of his soul. There are ice rinks in California, and that was close enough for Trevor’s liking. 

Being the avid jock and friendly dude that Trevor is, he has unintentionally climbed his way up the social ladder of BHHS. Alongside his good friends, Damian and Lawrence, Trevor is one of the founding members of this year’s revival of the highly esteemed Elite. Life’s good with the homies, life’s really good. It’s time to finish his last semester at BHHS and actually decide what the hell he is going to do with the rest of his life. Maybe… who cares, let’s party!

“Hi, I’m Val! I heard that you’d like to know a little bit about my life. Where I come from, and all that. Well, I don’t really come from anywhere exotic, I was born and raised right here in sunny southern California. My parents were high school sweethearts… kind of… they at least met while they were both in high school! Moms is from the Bay Area, and Pops is from Florida — near Disney World — but he hasn’t taken us kids there yet. Laaame. Anyway, yes, they met while they were in high school even though they lived a whole country apart. It’s super romantic and I absolutely adore their love story, maybe someday I can have one just like it. They spent a summer together at a camp called Aces High, and they kept in touch long after they had to say their goodbyes that summer. The internet is amazing for that kind of thing! When it came time to go to college, they applied to all of the same ones, and both of them got accepted at UC Berkeley. So I guess they’re really more like college sweethearts than high school ones, because that’s when they started dating! Now they’re married and both work as accountants for Helmsley Enterprises — over in the Olympic Tower in Mountain View. It’s a crazy cool looking building from the outside, but I’ve never been in there. Let’s see, what else, oh! There’s me, I’m the eldest sibling, and I have a younger brother named Orlando, and a younger sister named Zoey — they’re both in middle school still. Orlando smells because he loves sports but not deodorant yet, and Zoey is cute, she’s a tiny ballerina! And well… as for me, I really like school, I’ve got a few good friends and I do well in most of my classes, though I struggle a bit with math, apparently I didn’t get my parent’s genes there! OH! My most exciting bit of history is that I studied abroad through the foreign exchange program last semester. I went to Queensland, Australia. It was amazing! I got to snorkel at the Great Barrier Reef, and the fish were so pretty and colorful, and OH MY GOSH, have you ever seen a baby sea turtle?! They are the cutest creatures on the planet! While I was there, I learned all about the ocean. Did you know that we are severely overfishing it? I stopped eating all seafood since my trip, I gotta do my part to help keep our waters healthy. In fact, I’m now making sure to study up really hard, because I think I want to be a marine biologist!

It’s a bit of an oddity that Michael attends BHHS, actually. He lives on a farm that is almost an hour north of the hills, but he goes to BHHS because his fathers wanted their kids to attend their alma mater. His dad, Jace, drives them all to school every morning, because he also works in the city. It works out pretty nicely, it’s only mildly a hassle.
Mike has been teaching himself Japanese since middle school in an attempt to be able to watch anime without subtitles. Now that he is in high school, he is actually taking it as an official class, so he is finally getting beyond learning the basics of hiragana, greetings, foods, and the seasons.
Throughout elementary school, Michael had a pretty intense lisp. He had a speech coach who helped get him out of it, but the old impediment shows itself every now and again when Mike gets particularly riled with emotion — especially excitement.Most of his hate comments from viewers are usually about his lisp, he’s only a lot sensitive about it.

The boy with three first names was born to three parents. Well, technically he was born to four, but the biological father isn’t in the picture anymore, so he doesn’t count. Michael’s mother is Violetta Joseph, who found herself pregnant long before she was ready to have a child. Thankfully, her brother D’Angelo Joseph and his husband Jace (fiancé at the time) were more than happy to step in to raise the baby boy — with a lot of convincing from Jace, of course. The dads were still in college at the time that Michael was born, Angel was studying to become a veterinarian, and Jace was majoring in game design and animation. Raising a kid while putting themselves through school was hard work, but between the three of them (Vi included), they’d succeeded. Mike even got to be the ring bearer at his own fathers’ wedding, which was celebrated shortly after Angel graduated from vet school. 

Angel now works as a veterinarian in a rural clinic north of Beverly Hills, while Jace works for Blizzard. Michael has inherited a touch of both of his dads’ hobbies and preferences, with his mother’s fashion sense and social nature. Mike is one of five children — himself, two adopted, and two through surrogacy. Philip and Heather are both adopted, separated in age by one year. Elena was born via surrogacy with Angel as the biological father and Jace’s sister, Cassandra Sterling, as the surrogate mother. Theodore was also born via surrogacy with Jace as the biological father and Violetta as the surrogate mother. Theo is the youngest and fairest-haired child of the bunch.

That’s Michael’s family. It’s big and full of love, and there is never a dull day. Because of that, there is also rarely a quiet moment. Being the eldest child, Mike took to becoming a bit of an introvert in the comfort of his own bedroom whilst his younger siblings screamed and ran about — many a night were spent with him wearing a headset, gaming the night away with his friends online, simultaneously watching anime on his second monitor. He plays PC games mostly, of course, because his father raised him right. In seventh grade, his dads agreed to let him start a YouTube channel and also Twitch streaming his games. Mike is quite fond of this after school hobby, he puts out decent content and even has a moderately sized following. It’s not his life’s calling or anything, but he’s pretty good at it.

More specifically, Chicago. Just like everyone’s story starts, mine starts inside my mom’s belly. Take note of her short skirt… wait… her legs should be open more… that will make sense in a minute. The baby in her arms is my sister, Harlow. The guy on my mom’s left, is my father. But…” Eden crossed a big ‘X’ through the drawing of him. “He didn’t stick around for too long. Now, how on earth did a boy like Rafael get into a school like Beverly Hills High? You might be asking yourself this question. Sometimes even Rafael himself questions it. Truly, Riff does not fit in among the lifestyles of his wealthy and sometimes famous peers. He has no remarkable talent to speak of. Even with his artistic hobbies of drawing and making digital, trance style music, neither of these talents are polished enough to warrant a scholarship.

Simply put? He lives here, dude. BHHS is in a public school district, and it always has been. Although most of the students tend to be, not everyone that lives in Beverly Hills is filthy rich. And do you know what those filthy rich people almost always do have? Groundskeepers… maids… nannies. Yeah, you know the type. Both of Rafael’s parents fill that niche, as stereotypical as that might seem. Xavier, his father, runs a rather successful landscaping business, designing and hiring younger folks to maintain the elaborate lawns that you see around the homes of Beverly Hills. While Estella, his mother, works as a maid for a few notable families in the area.

So, there you have it. Rafael and his mexican-born family are a small, but very important part of the Beverly Hills community. They aren’t wealthy, but they aren’t struggling either. Raf has been a student in this school district since he began kindergarten. He was born in the states, shortly after his parents moved to southern California from Tijuana. The majority of his very large family still lives in Mexico, and Rafael and his parents visit them frequently.

Raf’s parents want him to start thinking about what he is going to do to contribute to society in the future. He might only be a sophomore, but they want to see him be the best that he can be, to be better than they were and are. Rafael, on the other hand, he has other plans. He’s still young, he’s got a couple of really good friends, and he’s completely content to just keep on living the way that he has been. Lighting up j’s, playing some PAC-MAN, and eat really damn good pizza — for life.

It is just as fabulous as it is made out to be, trust me. The glitz, the glamour, the city that never sleeps because there are so many AWESOME things to do. Not to mention it being the home of Broadway, uhm, hello? I wish I could have been there as a teenager, I mean Beverly Hills isn’t so bad, but I think I will definitely return to my roots someday.

ANYWAY… where was I? Oh, right, I was born in another state, as were my two older sisters, Marjorie and Martha. My father, his name’s Frederick, he has a high paying white collar job on Wall Street so, naturally, we were born and raised in the city. Yes, I said he has a job there, meaning he still has it. As you can see, I no longer live with him, and that is because my parents are divorced. Handsome ol’ man Freddie is a lying cheat and he bedded up with a harlot named Olivia, while still married to my lovely, wonderful, super awesome mom, Margot.

His loss, mom is the greatest and she deserves better than my dad’s divided affections. I mean, don’t get me wrong, he’s an okay father — I don’t think that he likes that I am gay very much, that’s whatever — but he was a shitty husband. My momma deserves the hottest piece of pool boy ass that Beverly Hills has to offer after the emotional turmoil that she went through. 

So, to continue my story, we’ve lived in sunny California for years now. Mom immediately dove back into doing the work that she loves, which is real estate, and she’s best damned agent in all of Beverly Hills. No, I’m not biased, she’s the best, check our bank account if you don’t believe me. Yeah yeah, a lot of our money also comes from Freddie’s support — like I said, he’s an okay dad, I’ll give him that, but we’re loaded because both of our parents are wealthy and successful in their own rights. While Mom was doing her thing, my Dad had two kids with Olivia, J.C. and Jasper, the former being a direct result of the affair scandal.

My sisters and I go on exciting and extravagant vacations with Freddie sometimes, last year it was Bali, so we get to see him frequently even though we live a whole country apart. On the topic of my sisters, they are kind of everything to me? I love them a lot. Now that I think of it, maybe spending so much time with all of these women is why I’ve come to express my feminine side so much? Who cares, it’s almost 2043, and I will live as PROUD and free as I want to be. Embrace the gay, my friends. Embrace it. Free hugs to all — unless you are Owen Lyon, you lyon adulterer!

On the topic of friends… I have many. You could say that I’m one of the queens~ of BHHS. That is to say, I am best friends with them, the Candies and the ones they call HOT, because they are hot, haven’t you seen them? I’m hella gay, but I still have eyes, and my girls are the cream of the crop, duh! And don’t you dare call them bitches in my presence, only I can call them that — as a term of endearment, and only in the proper falsetto. They are lovely girls if you take the time to get to know them. They’re just strong, opinionated young women, and you need a solid personality to take them for what they are, which is Fucking Fierce.

You’ll see my face around the halls, prowling for some hope of romance in this barren wasteland of a high school. Honestly, where the other hottie gays at? PSA: PLEASE, KINDLY STEP OUT OF THE CLOSET, SO I CAN HAVE A PROPER LOOK AT YOU. No, I’m not thirsty… okay, fine, I’m a little parched, if we’re being totally transparent here. Much like the shining metal of their namesake, the Sterlings are worth money. Serious amounts of money. Dirty money. That last part is a well kept secret, of course, because it has to be. Not even the Sterling children, nor their mother, know the full details of where their wealth comes from. Pearce Sterling, Selena and her twin brother Sean’s father, knows a great deal about the source of their cash flow. Pearce is the primary banker for Helmsley Enterprises investments, and their sometimes less-than-legal business ventures, of course. While the twins’ mother, Cassandra Pearce (née O’Brian), may be as naive as the rest of the world as to what goes on behind closed doors at Helmsley Enterprises, she is no less involved than her husband is. Cassie’s father, Joseph O’Brian, is the head Christopher Helmsley’s hand-picked legal team. As it happens, Cassandra and Pearce did not meet through purely random happenstance.

Cassandra and Pearce met in their early twenties, through the unknown intervention of their fathers. Falling in love came surprisingly easy, given what a handful of a personality Cassie could be. Latinas, man, they have fire in their blood, even if they’re only half! Cassie and Pearce married after a few years of courtship, and waited until they were almost thirty to have their first child. What was meant to be their first child, was actually a set of twins. Surprise!

Selena and Sean Sterling were quite the lively pair from the very beginning. Selena was colicky, and Sean took forever to potty train. Selena also picked up an arts and crafts hobby at an early age, coloring on walls, and gaining an unyielding obsession with glitter. Growing up, there wasn’t a day of the week that Selena wasn’t covered in sparkles - earning her a family nickname, which was then brought to the school halls by her brother, and the name stuck among fellow students as well.

The rambunctious nature of their twins, and the very large task of raising two children of the same age at the same exact time convinced the Sterlings to put off having more kids until, probably never, honestly. Such plans worked… for a time. Fast forward to seven years later, when Cassandra thought she was too old to have any more children, and the Sterlings accidentally found themselves pregnant again. And, because fate can be cruel, and older women produce more FSH, they were blessed with yet another set of twins. Two sets of twins, seven years apart. Selena and Sean’s siblings, named Alistair and Amanda, are currently in 4th grade.

As Selena grew into her teens, she became no less girly. In fact, many might argue that she became more girlish! To this day, her bedroom is luxuriously decorated in delicate pink and purple hues, looking very much like something out of Barbie’s dream house, or an American Girl magazine. Taking after her mother — who works as a celebrity makeup artist and stylist — Selena started experimenting with makeup when she was just a child. Selena never had those awkward middle school makeup years, like some of her other classmates did, because Cassandra would never let her daughter look foolish in public, not with her own reputation as an artist at stake! What she did not learn from her mother, Selena was taught through her hobby of watching beauty gurus on YouTube. That being said, even without makeup, Selena is gorgeous.

Wealthy, stylish, and no stranger to rubbing elbows with actual celebrities - Selena fits in well with the rich, preppy crowd of the Beverly Hills High. Also being distantly related to Trixie, Selena naturally gravitated towards the notorious HOT girls. Most students in school know the pretty blonde junior that hangs out with HOT to be the “IT Girl-in-training”, and assume that she will be the one to take the reigns of the established bitch queen tyranny, by her cousin’s side, after Hailey and Ophelia graduate this year.

Cassie’s father, Joseph O’Brian, is the head Christopher Helmsley’s hand-picked legal team. As it happens, Cassandra and Pearce did not meet through purely random happenstance.

Cassandra and Pearce met in their early twenties, through the unknown intervention of their fathers. Falling in love came surprisingly easy, given what a handful of a personality Cassie could be. Latinas, man, they have fire in their blood, even if they’re only half! Cassie and Pearce married after a few years of courtship, and waited until they were almost thirty to have their first child. What was meant to be their first child, was actually a set of twins. Surprise!

Selena and Sean Sterling were quite the lively pair from the very beginning. Selena was colicky, and Sean took forever to potty train. Selena also picked up an arts and crafts hobby at an early age, coloring on walls, and gaining an unyielding obsession with glitter. Growing up, there wasn’t a day of the week that Selena wasn’t covered in sparkles - earning her a family nickname, which was then brought to the school halls by her brother, and the name stuck among fellow students as well.

The rambunctious nature of their twins, and the very large task of raising two children of the same age at the same exact time convinced the Sterlings to put off having more kids until, probably never, honestly. Such plans worked… for a time. Fast forward to seven years later, when Cassandra thought she was too old to have any more children, and the Sterlings accidentally found themselves pregnant again. And, because fate can be cruel, and older women produce more FSH, they were blessed with yet another set of twins. Two sets of twins, seven years apart. Selena and Sean’s siblings, named Alistair and Amanda, are currently in 4th grade.

As Selena grew into her teens, she became no less girly. In fact, many might argue that she became more girlish! To this day, her bedroom is luxuriously decorated in delicate pink and purple hues, looking very much like something out of Barbie’s dream house, or an American Girl magazine. Taking after her mother — who works as a celebrity makeup artist and stylist — Selena started experimenting with makeup when she was just a child. Selena never had those awkward middle school makeup years, like some of her other classmates did, because Cassandra would never let her daughter look foolish in public, not with her own reputation as an artist at stake! What she did not learn from her mother, Selena was taught through her hobby of watching beauty gurus on YouTube. That being said, even without makeup, Selena is gorgeous.

Wealthy, stylish, and no stranger to rubbing elbows with actual celebrities - Selena fits in well with the rich, preppy crowd of the Beverly Hills High. Also being distantly related to Trixie, Selena naturally gravitated towards the notorious HOT girls. Most students in school know the pretty blonde junior that hangs out with HOT to be the “IT Girl-in-training”, and assume that she will be the one to take the reigns of the established bitch queen tyranny, by her cousin’s side, after Hailey and Ophelia graduate this year.

@ShovelKnight I like the idea of an underground fighter club, neat! I feel like our characters might have connections through that, given the Omegas have a lot of cyberfolks with pent up aggression to let out. ^_^
