From Oubliette to Oublioth [R.I.P]

Gonna post when I get up, was kind of hoping to have more to work with before sunday, but meh I'll do something to cause a lot of damage...

Kaze had watched the green-skinned woman drain her cup quickly. He never really understood alcohol, most of the time it tasted like crappy bread. It also didn't seem to work too well on him, probably the slow metabolism of being a reptilian being. A mental shrug and he was back to listening to her talk. Had to be a bard thing, lots of talk not much movement. "I need to grab something. I'll meet you outside." He rumbled to her before she left the tavern.

He went to the storage closet of the place and tugged open the door. Within was the enormous cleaver he called a sword. He grabbed the grip and slung it over his shoulder before leaving the building. His exit was met with haunting music, okay the bard could certainly play. She was talking to a male with a strange head ornament, and a shadowy elven woman. A third person approached, another male, who was probably this Dion fellow Guritag had spoke of earlier.

It seemed that the group was getting bigger judging by the conversation. Although the orcish woman seemed against wandering about at night. "Can't see in the dark?" He questioned as he casually strode up to stand next to the other tall being. He gave the other three bystanders a lazy once over now that he was closer. It didn't look like they had much in the way of melee, and the only one who seemed even really armed was the elven woman.

Druids could ask animals for combat help? That was interesting to hear and potentially useful for their future adventures. But just how useful was a chipmunk...? Eh food for thought at a later date, it was still prep and rest time until the night came. Druid Girl also let him know that no fire, just basic healing and ice. "It's fine, it was just a thought to give a little boost to our chances." He said with a casual shrug.

The darker skinned girl mentioned she should be closer, healing and apparently her cold spell was close range? That kind of thing bugged him, but he didn't make magic spells. But birds watching the archers back is useful, assuming Druid Girl could talk and fight at the same time. Another shrug, the girl could do what she wanted. He wasn't really the leader of the group.

There was talk of covering their scent which got him to look down at himself. His clothes and armor weren't very clean but he himself was. Shrugging he just rolled about in the dirt at his feet, which dulled his scales coloration. If he stood still he might be mistaken for a broken tree, but it was doubtful. After his rolling though he glanced at the two girls. "Want basic spears as well?" He questioned, having some range between themselves and close range enemies never hurt. Although he doubted anything would get close to the archer without an ambush.

Kaze ain't tired, just wounded :p I mean combat for him has only been like...20 minutes tops with long resting time between?

Kaze had seen how the others looked at him because of his actions to himself. Which in turn got a brief chuckle from him. "What, no one adventure without a healer or potions? Keep holes in your body plugged with what made them until you can get someplace safe..." He said but blinked in surprise when one of the women offered him a potion. Apparently it'd help with the pain? He accepted it with a grateful nod before downing the strange colored liquid.

The group made plans on how best to potentially utilize the strange draconid woman. He shook his head, amused by their plans while Vani came over. A blink was garnered from the elven mans action, the height difference alone would have made his actions a little silly. Whatever, he went along with it just to appease the guy. Vani spoke up and got the behemoth of a man to laugh quietly. "Out in the field, anything for survival even if it causes yourself pain." He replied, those razor sharp white teeth flashing in a grin.

Still the group moved and met no further resistance until they got to the gate and made more plans to try and get by the big group of soldiers. Everyone was trying to come up with a plan on how to deal with the three dozen footsoldiers and the archers along the wall. Some of the ideas were less than agreeable, a few were okay. He took to his own feet fully and stretched himself, limbering up his body and limbs despite the blood lightly trickling from his wounds.

"Spooked horse would lead them to us, not away. Trying to put a hole in the wall would most likely just collapse it into a mess that some of you likely wouldn't be able to climb with ease before getting pelted by arrows." He said while eying the crumbling stonework. This particular gate was looking very fragile. He was honestly surprised that the archers atop it hadn't made it fall apart. It had to have enough stability then to support the weight, just probably not enough to take a hit.

Sighing he stopped his stretches. "To get everyone through, including the horse, we'll have to take out enough of them to scare them off like last time. I can get Vani and the spellcasters up on the wall. He can block the arrows with his shield while the others takes on the archers. From there the spellcasters can rain spells down on the soldiers with impunity. Anyone more geared towards melee combat would obviously be on the ground with me." He said. His plan seemed the most effective in his mind. Sure it was direct confrontation, but if they acted quick the situation would actually go fairly fast and incident free. Hopefully.
