Niah wasn't excited about putting on the armor. Well, she was. She wanted to wear it, but she was nervous that it might be cursed. Niah put it on, Roman armor hadn't changed much in the centuries since Scipio Africanus. Once she finished she started floating into the air. "Oh no!" She shouted. Niah tried to figure out if there was a way to control it, but she couldn't figure it out.

"Help." She squeaked out at them. It was a good thing she wasn't afraid of heights. "I don't know how to control this thing. I didn't want to put it on because I was worried it might be cursed and here I am floating uncontrollably in the air." She hoped one of them would grab her leg and pull her down, or somehow knew the commands for it.

Niah thought about it, if this had any word commands or anything she had never heard of them, but she suspected it was like any other demi-god ability. That meant she might be able to control it like the mist. She took a deep breath and lowered herself to the ground. "I did it!" She said joyfully. "It is sort of like controlling the mist." She explained. "I wonder, both of you hold onto my arms. If I can fly with both of you holding onto me maybe we can just fly to Mount Rushmore." She did worry they might get lost, but at it was an option.

"Thanks." Matt said with a head nod at Novi. He appreciated her for keeping Proxima Midnight at a distance. Matt had a feeling he might be able to fight her in hand-to-hand combat, but he felt a lot more confidant behind his handgun. However, if he could touch her and release his paralyzing power. That could take the woman out of the battle, and it was now proven that he could kill someone with it as he had always feared. That would be for later he decided if she got too close for comfort.

Matt lined up a shot and took it. Blood spouted from Proxima's throat. Matt wasn't certain if that would take her down. He had seen a few of Thanos 'children' survive kill shots before. In Cardiff, it had taken multiple kill shots to take down the one. Matt took another shot, hitting her square in the left chest. It could be a heart shot, if she had one, or if it was even there. Matt took the third shot this one grazed her right arm.

Arthur's laughter was like a stone being dropped into a lake. It broke the tension inside Andy and she giggled. "How do you know that? That's just weird. What do you mean by Blessed Be?" She asked tilting her head. Andy had a lot of questions and Rebecca had so far been a good source of answers.

She feared that Rebecca was too much like her mother that had killed Mona. Could she ask questions of Rebecca expecting answers when Andy wasn't confident if she trusted Hecate, or as was becoming more possible any of the gods? Andy hadn't met any other ones yet, other than Mr. D. But there was a sense of tension surrounding them all. Andy wanted to figure it out for herself, but to figure it out she needed answers.

"May we ask some questions? I feel like we have just been running around stumbling into answers. I want to know a few things about this world we've been thrust into." Andy was determined. She needed to know what she had gotten herself into, she'd run away again if she didn't like it, and that wouldn't be the first time. This time though she would ask Arthur to go with her.

"Hello Marco." Niah said with a smile. "May I have a large iced chai latte?" Niah preferred her caffeine to be in the form of tea over coffee. She could taste the bitter, even over a ton of sugar, and disliked it.

Niah stepped aside so Mads could order. "Hello Alexia, Emily." Niah smiled at both of them. "If you get a memo, Alexia, that you need to build traps or anything like that from Leandra, you can ignore it. We have gotten some new information since she was told that." Niah said with a slight sigh.

Niah didn't like the new information, but at least it kept the Camp safe. Most of New Rome would fight to the death. She would too, she didn't fear death. But she then smiled. "Good to see you. I hope you're all doing well." The cafe was busy, Niah glanced around. "Think we can grab a table and chat for a bit. We should try to research our little situation a bit too."

Emily winced at the mention of ignoring college applications. She had been doing the same thing. They needed to have a conversation about the matter. She wanted to go to school with him but didn't want to go to school here in New Rome. If Marco went to work for his father's company, she'd go to school in New York so they would be close at least. That was if she could get into a school there. She had the test scores, but not the 'traditional' education that a lot of schools looked at. It was also really hard to explain Camp on an application.

"Praetors, Niah." She said, nodding at them. "How was the meeting?" Emily knew about the tension between her and Nancy; she also knew there wasn't anything she could do about it. Emily just gave her usual sunny smile. "Sounds like it wasn't a great one." She said, glancing at Niah. Leandra was fine in specific settings. Emily was glad she wasn't involved in politics and was happy to keep herself out of it, despite Leandra's attempts to drag her into them.

"Maybe you should stop putting your head in places where it could be removed." Dalisy said to Arnora. She was torn between shooting Lara to be done with her and ignoring Lara completely. Dalisy kept her eyes on the river in front of them. Scanning for obstacles.

If she pretended, she could imagine the woman beside her was Niah. They didn't look anything alike, but their personality was so similar it hurt. Dalisy shifted in her seat toward the front of the canoe. "There is my oar from earlier if you need something to push." Her voice was tight. She found difficulty in even sounding nice. The oar could be useful if a log or other such detritus got to close to the canoe, but wasn't something they could avoid.

There were several branches that threatened their heads. Dalisy took aim and shot out the biggest ones. Hopefully, the others could be avoided, or maybe Lara would be useful and take them out. She just couldn't fire enough arrows to take out all of the branches. Dalisy scrunched down in her seat hoping that she would keep her own head from being hit by any of the branches that they failed to take out or avoid.

Andy hated being touched. It didn't help when the person doing the touching was a Purifier. She hated anyone who aligned themselves as such. He was on top of her punching her. That was bad for him. She let her electricity zap him, and he stopped moving. Andy had nightmares of killing people. She suspected today would be added to the litany of dreams, but for the first time, it felt like she had a purpose. Purifiers got to choose to be like this. They decided to hurt and kill people who had been doing nothing. It was time to stand up and fight back.

Andy looked around, assessing the current chaos around her. The girl with green hair had a sword, which was cool. There were seven of the purifiers left, and the cops were gone. That was good. Screw the police; they tended to take kids and put them back into places she hated being, like foster homes or special schools. And those were the nice ones. At least this meant she could focus on the Purifiers.

One of the mutants that had been sitting behind her had been shot in the throat. Andy couldn't help him. She had no first aid ability or way to fix it. Wishing didn't change anything, it wouldn't help the guy, but the next best thing would be taking out the guys who hurt him. Andy moved and punched one of the Purifiers, electricity crackling as she did. He dropped too. That was now four Purifier's she had taken down. They were dead, or their brains were rewired, and they would have a massive headache for the next week.

Andy turned and focused on the other guy. She swung a left hook, but it missed. Surprised, and a little miffed, Andy swung again, this time going for a right uppercut. He stepped back, and she missed again. "My father would have called you talented. I call you a dick. You choose to hurt people. You choose to be a dick." She, of course, didn't mean her biological father, she didn't remember him if she had ever met the man. She meant Jamie, sweet kind Jamie, who had taken in a street kid so she didn't freeze to death in the alley behind his shop.

In the Atrium, Luke started exploring the room a bit closer now. It was a gorgeous place. Whoever had made the room had done so with care and consideration, they had wanted them to enjoy the room. He wasn't a psychologist from what he could tell about himself, but that seemed counter to the assumptions they were making. Why make a room that the group would enjoy but have threatening messages hidden around the place?

"Hey, Vinnie, this is going to be a weird question, but do you think we've met before. Your voice is familiar." The feeling of knowing her was intense; there was something about how her voice sounded when she yelled. "Honestly, has anyone else gotten the feeling you know each other? It has been bugging me."

"I agree. Vinnie's voice is familiar. We were talking about it earlier. The camera I found in her room felt familiar too. Like I had held it before, or seen it before." Tessa said with a shrug. She was leaning against a massive redwood tree. Her eyes were a bit puffy, and Luke felt like he had possibly missed her crying. What was it about redwood trees that made Tessa cry?

"Interestingly, Luke, it is you who sounds familiar." Kyle said. Luke tilted his head. He had seen Kyle before. He had this very vivid image of him climbing.

"Gonna be hard for us to figure out how we know each other if none of us remember our past." Noah interjected. "However, that is an interesting hypothesis. Think whoever collected us, got people who knew each other on purpose?"

"Huh, mind if I try? Before we try explosives. However, I do think if the food thing can provide the right stuff I could probably blow this up." Manny asked Zarina, holding out his hand for the screwdriver. "Scientists care to figure out how we are supposed to get out of here instead of chatting about how we do or don't know each other?"

"We are working on that, knowing why might give us an idea of where and how."

Zari handed over the screwdriver and Manny leaned in to try. He started turning left, and when that produced no results he leaned back. Luke could see the gears turning in the guy's head, then Manny leaned back forward and turned right. The bolt came undone easily.

"They reversed the thread. I've seen it before on stuff you don't want to be opened easily. Make a specialized tool and reverse the thread. It keeps people from getting it right away." Manny explained as he undid the rest of the bolts. The water flow increased with the removal of the grate.

"It is Tagalog, means shit." Niah shrugged. She looked around as the dust settled. "Way to make a girl feel useless." She grinned at the pair of them. "There aren't any others hiding inside, right?" She asked. Then lowered her sword, but kept it in her hand. She slipped into the junkyard building. Niah glanced around and sighed, relieved.

"Looks clear." She could never be certain, but she was willing to say it was clear enough to enter. "What do you think we should grab? Sell stuff to a pawn shop?" She half asked, half suggested. "If we find anything of worth."

Inside she headed to the register, but her attention landed on a set of armor. "Oh." She paused and stared at the armor, she thought for a moment and then double-checked. "I think this was the armor of Scipio Africanus."

Rose Buckner

Rose didn't believe them, didn't trust them one bit. Maybe it was cause she had spoken to Merlin first, or maybe it was because the woman was Maleficent. She, like any other American, had been raised on Disney. She knew who Maleficent was. "Like hell, I'll trust you." Rose rolled, her little bit of boxing had taught her some moves for getting away.

She ran. Ducking into the woods and heading toward the ranger's truck trail. It would take her back around to the station. She needed to get help. Rose didn't know who could help. Then she remembered the business card that Merlin had given her. She pulled it out of her pocket and dialed the number.

Colby nodded, he wanted to meet his parents, and he wanted to reclaim what was his birthright. A part of him wondered how much he was being manipulated. He wondered what it was that Merlin wanted from them. Colby didn't feel like Merlin was telling the whole truth. Was that cause he just didn't trust people. He let go of Maddie's hand and reached up to pet his cat. "Go ahead, get a sword." He said to Maddie.

"I don't know how to use a sword, just my fists." Colby said turning down a weapon. Maybe in the future, he'd use one, but for now, he had no use for a weapon. "If we are going into a fight though. I'd like to put my cat somewhere safe. So excuse me." Colby stepped out of the warehouse and walked back to his car, opening it and letting Jack jump off his shoulder into the car. He rolled down the windows enough for fresh cool air to flow for Jack and Maddie's cat. Then he went back inside the warehouse.

Matt stepped into the Hanger as Cass gave her orders. He resisted smiling; there was something beautiful about her being authoritative. "I noticed that di Angelo didn't have any protective suit on him. The guards say they haven't seen him cocoon and considering he isn't the right Thane. I'm going to go out on a limb and say he's just human. Unless he had gone through terrigenesis before today and has reached his full potential." He said the last bit was vaguely mocking of Crystal.

"A guard is posted outside Dalisy's cell. Niah is talking with her. From the sound of it, she remembers dying in a different timeline, or she meant a different dimension, she said different world, and also the, uh, bit with Scarlet Witch." He wasn't entirely sure what to think of Dalisy. She made him nervous. "I think Niah is too trusting." That could easily be a blanket statement from what he had gathered about the woman.

Matt shrugged and then went to follow Cass's orders. He didn't know what all needed to be done to prep the Qunjet. They would need to refuel he figured, so he set about getting that taken care of.

Well, that sealed it. The group sitting behind Andy were mutants, which made the knots in her stomach lessen just a little bit. That didn't last long. When she exited the auditorium, there were cops, as the stabby guy went after the green-haired girl, one of the people who had been sitting behind her protected the girl.

A moment of debate happened in Andy's mind. On one side was Ash's voice telling her to help the mutants. The other was Jamie telling her to pick her battles. She decided she was joining this fight. Purifiers were hurting a girl, a mutant girl, and she hated Purifiers. The debate was over. Andy took a quick drink from her coffee and then set it down and put what was left of her muffin in her jacket pocket.

Andy dashed forward to be near the girl who was bleeding out. There wasn't anything she could do to stop that, but she could at least try to get the Purifiers off of her. She punched one, letting her electrical power course through her arm. The guy dropped to the ground. She didn't know if he was dead or just unconscious. Part of her didn't care.

She turned and punched the next Purifier. Her electricity didn't give its usual crackle. The Purifier backhanded Andy with their gun; she winced in pain. Andy was frustrated in herself and imagining Jamie's voice scolding her for missing the opening that she had given the Purifier. He also would have scolded her for going into a fight outnumbered. Andy didn't care. Jamie was dead and gone, and the voice was just her trying to rationalize it all. She punched the Purifier again. This time her electricity did its job, and the Purifier dropped to the ground, joining their buddy.

Andy didn't care if both of them were dead. "Next?" She asked, turning to another Purifier. Anger and electricity were coursing through her, and she was ready to fight as many of these as it took. What her end goal was she couldn't say. Maybe she was ready to join her adoptive parents, or maybe she would kill every last Purifier in the world.
