Dalisy sighed a small breath of relief as she exited the elevator. She saw Elizabeth and poked her in the side lightly. "Hey Beth. Find any trouble today?" She asked, mostly as a joke. It was not the first time she had said it to her. "You'll find there may be rumors about me gaining something resembling kindness as I didn't drown Lara in the river today. Unfortunately, they are true."

Dalisy, wondering if Arnora had beat her to the Hall and had already found a seat, let her power from her Father look for her. Arnora was up at the go-carts with Klara, Nadia, and some girl Dalisy didn't recognize. "Weird." She said half under her breath. "Anyway, want to sit with me for dinner?" She asked Beth, before finding a seat. There was room if Beth decided to sit with her.

"Shit" Manny said. He held the dripping wet end of the rope that had been tied to Zari. Tessa looked over at him standing at the mouth of the pipe that was the source of the lake water. She stood and patted Noah on the shoulder leaving him alone to stare up at the space sky. "Someone has to go after her." Manny added looking over at those in the Atrium. "I can't fit." He looked concerned, which was, as far as Tessa was concerned, an understatement for how she felt.

Tessa walked over to the pipe and look at its size. There weren't a lot of them that could fit through the pipe, and more worrisome was the nearly ice-cold water pouring out of it. A fear gripped Tessa as she looked into the pipe that she for a moment couldn't place her finger on. She found herself taking several steps back. "I can't do it. I'm sorry." Her eyes were wide. "When I was little I almost drowned."

That was an oversimplification of what happened, but it had scared her in more ways than just a fear of drowning. It didn't help that she had watched Luke almost drown and he was a good swimmer. Her mind flashed to the photo in her room. The one of the woman with the burned face. Now she knew why.

Noah stayed where he was. He didn't even seem to be paying attention to the group at the pipe, just sipped at his coffee thinking.

Galley

"Maybe it means more that a cop is willing to stay." Kyle offered Cal as some form of condolences.

"I can make a cake." Gordon offered.

Luke sipped at his coffee that Tessa had given him. At first, he didn't say anything but leaned against the table, eventually, he shrugged. "There is the place where the Roomba came from. We can check out that hole. It is pretty small though."

Niah had found a spot not near Flynn to sit. She was still red in the face a little at how many people had heard her. She had no idea if Flynn had understood. As she sat on the Quinjet in silence during their flight her hand went to where she had once worn a necklace. Niah hadn't gotten around to replacing it. For the longest time, it had been the only necklace she ever wore. It was odd not wearing it anymore. At least she knew her sister was still alive. That made the lack of necklace comforting in its own weird way now.

Now they were being split up, which might be a good thing. If Flynn was able to keep things - Niah cut off that thought. Flynn keeping things under control was laughable. Niah was glad Cass had reinforced no lethal force. Though she did know Matt was capable of killing with his paralytic touch. He had seen him almost kill Cass.

"Let me go first. I'll touch the door handle and see if he has been here recently." Niah requested. When they got to his apartment she removed her glove. This was the most she had used this power in one day in a long time. She considered that she could lie when she touched the handle and say he hadn't gotten there yet (if he had), or that she saw him leaving if he was there. Maybe say it loud enough so if he was home Rogers would hear her and go out a window again.

Niah touched the door handle and she got a few flashes of Rogers. She turned to Cass. "He has already come and gone." She had a lead with what she had seen, but she didn't know if she should let the group know. Niah put her glove back on.

Matt nodded as Agent Asokho explained his paralytic dart. It often helped if someone was distracting a target he needed to paralyze if he was doing it when they were unwilling. "That works." He nodded at the guy's plan. Matt considered making a joke about plans never working for their group anyway. Anytime they made one someone seemed to die, or all their gifts were stolen by Deadpool for some reason. He decided against it.

When they arrived at the apartment he nodded at Cass's plan. It made sense. Rogers was less likely to freak out if it was women agents who showed up at his house, and Oliver didn't look threatening. He was no Ops, but he had talent, and would probably be underestimated by Rogers. Rogers probably was nervous at the moment. The ladies of Secret Warriors were something to be reckoned with too.

Matt knocked politely on Agent 13's door. It would be best if he took point with her. Flynn was, well Flynn. And Asokho was new. He barely was out of the academy by Matt's guess.

"My name isn't sparky." Andy said to the flamboyant guy. He was weird. Well, most of the group was weird. She rolled her eyes and headed over the van that he had vacated. She popped the hood of the van. Andy had never done this before so she wasn't certain if it would even work. She lifted the hood and put the catch so it wouldn't fall on her head. Andy squinted at the engine and other mechanical bits. There was a good chance that she would destroy the car if she overdid it.

She did know that it was the battery that needed energy. Hmmm, she considered as she sipped her coffee. Thankful that she had stolen it. Then popped the covers off the battery and set the coffee on the ground. Andy put one index finger on each of the leads of the battery. She let out a little zap. And then leaned over and tried to start the car. Nothing happened. So a larger zap was needed. She tried again this time letting out a bigger amount of electrical energy that always flowed through her.

When she turned over the engine it worked this time. "Hey, Justin Beiber! I fixed it." There was a bit of pride in her voice. She closed the hood of the van and picked her coffee back up. "I can't drive though so someone else has to get behind the wheel." Was the offer to join them still on the table? Ice lady hadn't used the water from the fire hydrant.

Ed Penior

Location: Xavier's Institute - the Living Room
Skills: Thamaturgy: Shield

Alright, Ed decided as the group gathered around the board this was going to be interesting. He picked up the Metallic Elephant and showed it to Annie hoping she would be alright with the choice. He wished there had been a crow, but that was life he supposed, you didn't always get what you preferred. He did feel bad for those paired with people they didn't get along with. He couldn't imagine how he would put up with being paired with Guin.

He placed the piece on a starting square. The mosquitoes could be a serious issue. He frowned and pulled from his pocket a small metal shield that he carried for when he needed the component. He whispered a quick phrase in a made-up language and a shield snapped up around the group. "That will keep the mosquitoes out, hopefully. And if we move then we can take the shield with us."

Niah Bautista

Location: The Sky - Fargo, North Dakota
Skills: Armor Control

Niah nodded and concentrated controlling the armor to start flying toward Mount Rushmore. "I vote we eat there. I'm sure we can get there quickly this way. I agree that it is probably better to just get there. If we get there fast enough it'll be the middle of the night and probably closed, which means fewer mortals to worry about."

After that Niah faced the direction they were heading to keep an eye on the sky. Hoping there weren't going to be any Venti or other flying monsters that made the rest of the trip annoying. She did want to eat before they headed into the Mountain she had no desire to go into a dragon's lair without food in her belly. If it was after hours they could probably just sneak into a food shack on site. They could leave one of the necklaces they found or something as payment, but it would keep them from being questioned.

And then like that the fight was over. The adrenaline that was coursing through Andy's veins slowed down. She was breathing heavily her face flushed with excitement. Unlike Arthur, she enjoyed fighting. She had spent too much of her time running from monsters it felt good to defeat them. To stand shoulder to shoulder with people she cared about and know that she had a chance to win.

Andy smiled at Arthur. "That was cool that you can make your knife fly around like that." She told him as they climbed back onto the Argo three. She watched as Demi drank the nectar, she had had it before so she knew it would help him like it had with her broken arm. "Feel better?" She asked him. "It tasted like apple juice to me." She told him.

Emily glanced at Marco as he expressed that he thought Nancy wasn't the 'date people' type of person. She agreed. In her not-yet-professional opinion, Nancy had zero desire for anything resembling a romantic relationship. She wasn't surprised when Nancy expressed her disdain for it.

"Makes sense." Niah said in response to Mads. She was sighing as she stood up. "Of course the Senate is going to have a fit though at being recalled again today." She could just imagine Leandra adjusting time-tables in her notebook again. Niah took a sip of her tea. She liked to drink it slowly and savor it.

"I personally wonder if there is something wrong with Alexandra with as much joy as she seems to get from gutting stuffed animals. Think one wronged her as a child?" Emily then tilted her head thinking. "Pack extra underwater and socks though. Those are always important to have extras of on a quest." What was nice about the whole apocalypse coming is those ignored college applications wouldn't be giving her the side-eye for ignoring them.

"Well if there is something wrong with Alexandra maybe you can fix it?" Niah offered hopefully. Emily only shrugged. Niah also wondered if Emily had tried fixing whatever was wrong with Leandra. Though Niah was no professional maybe Leandra has OCD or something?

"I prefer helping give people tools to help themselves rather than just 'fixing' them. It works better that way." Emily explained. She stood up at that point. "Alright, let's go. Babe you'll have to eat as we walk."

Rose Buckner

Location: The warehouse

Rose hugged Willow back. "Thank you. If you hadn't gotten there..." Rose trailed off. She didn't want to think about what would have happened. "Well I've got my bag and a bow." She said to Merlin, "So I'm happy. Though I'd like to have my motorcycle. Also, I need to let my boss know I'm quitting. Cause I told him if I didn't come into work tonight I had been kidnapped." Rose grinned a little. She had thought she had three days.

Rose stepped off to the side and called her boss. She spoke with him for a moment giving him reassurance that she really wasn't being kidnapped and sorry she was doing it like this but she had finally gotten a lead on her birth parents and she was going to investigate it. She apologized and quit. Then rejoined at Cass' side.

"Disbelief and then it felt right. Like it was a cloak waiting for me to put it on all along." Rose didn't know who her parents were yet, so she didn't realize how fitting her metaphor was. "Merlin, I've just quit my job so you better be as trustworthy as my friend thinks you are." She gave a slight indication that she spoke of Willow. "I suppose I should have asked this earlier, who are my parents?"

Colby Jackson

Location: The warehouse
Skills:

"Hey Tink, welcome to the party. You missed all the fun and fire." Colby let go of Matthew's hand. "I'm gonna grab the cats and our bags. Want to help?" He said. Colby put the sword back in the box, he had no use for it right now. And then went back to the car. He got out his bag and cat carrier. "Sorry Jack, need you to go into the carrier. I promise I'll let you out as soon as I can." He encouraged him into the carrier.

When Matthew joined Colby paused and looked at him. "Be careful, don't lose yourself in whatever happens okay, but don't let the monsters eat you." Colby's eyes were full of concern as he looked at Matthew. "You did good though." A crooked smile crossed his features. "We might find that with answers comes more questions." There was only one question Colby cared about, was a relationship with Matthew fate or chance? He hated the idea of true love. Love took work.

Niah's face was hot. It seemed everyone had heard her. That was embarrassing and the only thing she could do was just go to the bathroom and hope they'd let it drop. God, she hoped that Flynn had got what she was trying to tell him. Niah went through the motions of using the bathroom. She splashed a bit of water on her face after she finished washing her hands. Maybe it hadn't been a good idea to go back into the field.

Niah had always wanted to work in a lab, and take her skills to the field. She wanted both worlds. She wanted to make things better. After House of M she had been so broken and hurt that she just couldn't focus in the field. After Dalisy had attacked Niah realized it didn't matter if she was in a lab or the field bad things were going to happen. And she would rather be with the people she cared about providing back up then hiding in the lab and hoping she'd survive the day.

All of this was so complicated and morally ambiguous. Niah knew where she stood on the line though. She was against these laws.

"Does you're paralytic have distance? Like can you put it in an ICER?" Matt asked Kwassi. "I only ask cause one of my abilities is paralytic touch. And that has proven to work on Deadpool. The downside of course being I have to touch the person to paralyze them." Matt thought back to Christmas. Nothing was simple with this group, not even Christmas.

Matt was thankful that his power hadn't gotten more powerful or changed when he went through his second Terrigenesis. Instead, he had gotten the ability to just know how weapons worked. Matt had played with the power a little since the trip to the moon, but even still he didn't know the full extent of it. Would it work for alien tech? It had worked for the staff, but that had seemed simple. What if it was a more complex weapon.

The universe gave one very clear message: DO NOT GO THIS WAY. Andy had her own superstitions. She had survived by following her gut for so long. Everything was making it abundantly clear to her that she wasn't to go this way. She wanted this situation to end. She wanted to be away from it but there was no leaving it, only going through it. Fine so be it. Getting close to the insane woman would be an act of insanity. Andy wore a jacket with metal studs. That would be asking for her to just be pushed away like last week's garbage. But the jacket meant more to Andy than the cup of coffee neither of which she particularly wanted to part with.

Andy came back out from the alley. She could see the magnet lady flying over the destroyed Sentinal. Why weren't there just easy things for her to punch? Andy sighed considered her coffee and took another sip. Andy looked around the street trying to find something, anything that could assist.

"Hey, uh...Ice lady. I don't know if it helps you, but there is a fire hydrant there." Andy pointed at it. She hadn't seen the woman do anything with water, and apparently she could just summon ice as she pleased, but maybe if she had a bunch of water it could help her. It wasn't like Andy knew any of this group, their powers, or skill sets. Heck, she had known them what a whole thirty or so minutes. She was just guessing, and unless something that she wanted to punch was in punching distance Andy felt and was essentially useless.
