Bio

Hello everyone. I'm Dutch, a mother of a 8-year old boy and I love both rp-ing and writing. Since May 2020 I'm one of the contests mods.

I started with writing Dutch stories in 2002, I was already 19 at that time. I joined a writing competition and that got me started. Soon I started to write down all the stories my over-active imagination came up with. I had my first forum rp experience in 2003 on a Dutch fantasy forum. While I continued to write, I stopped rp-ing when the particular rp and forum slowly died. In 2011 my love for rp's rekindled when I joined a site with a forum and I started to RP solely in English since that is the language of the site. This is also when I wrote my first story in English.

I've got a few 1x1 rp's going on this site and a couple more on another site. I've always been a fan of writing competitions and I joined a lot several of the ones that were hosted on this website. Now I get to host them myself and really enjoy that too.

When you come here to check if I'm online, know that even when I show as online I might not be able to respond to RP's. I open this site so that when I have time I can spend some time here, but I don't always end up with the time to do so.

If I haven't replied in a while, feel free to poke me. I don't ghost on purpose, sometimes I just forgetful and if I read your reply and accidentally closed the tab I might forget I was supposed to reply T_T

the department for non-human agents and liaisons rights I let him mention? I thought of it as a sub-department of P.A.I.N. that is there to give the agents the idea that everyone is welcome and looked after. The people working there are kept in the dark about the true motives of the agency. Some bases know about what the agency is really about, like the one mr Johnson is leading, and some are used to house the agents that aren't aware of what is going on.

There is a base somewhere where monsters and demons are sent to for investigation, but the testing done is more akin to torture. Stuart doesn't know this, but he has sent people there because he believes they investigate by observation and do tests like a doctor would test a human.

Oh Steph XD

Benjamin isn't going to know what he should do: help her up or leave her.
This was the first time he saw her with so few clothes on. Benjamin coughed a bit at her question and averted his eyes. Looking at her back was looking at the scars. Looking at her front it weren't the scars that caught his attention. There certainly was something he'd like to do, but maybe now was not the best of times. He already liked her, but seeing her in just her bra... well, he was just a man after all. He hoped the bulge in his pants wasn't too obvious.
"I don't have any plans, but if you want to change clothes I'll give you some privacy," he said as he moved back to the door.
Her being a succubus she probably wouldn't even mind to hear about his ideas, but on the other hand, she seemed so shy and self-conscious and he wasn't sure if she really was ready. She had been a man before after all and this was probably still very new to her.

Rudrig walked to his room, the meeting with the boss had just ended. He noticed Rose in front of his room and approached her. "Do you need something?" he asked as he opened the door to the room he used as an office. He left it open in case Rose wished to enter and walked to his desk to open his laptop.

Penalopy sighed and floated around James; when she was behind him she wrapped her arms around him and leaned her head on his shoulder. "James, why does everyone think not talking about it is the best thing for Niccia?" she complained.
"Well, miss Penalopy, you see," James began, but she didn't give him the opportunity to finish.
Penalopy floated back to Rorsh. "I didn't want her to be unprepared for a possible face-to-face with Darkrai, imagine how much that would hurt~" She had a sad look on her face. "I know all that happened, but I didn't know if Arceus banned Darkrai or not. He should have, Darkrai was bad, but what will happen if he shows up unannounced?" She landed on the floor and stood next to her guardian. "Staying silent about it is not going to solve anything. Starfall is about us being together, to be happy, and I know that. But isn't it also to make peace when we had a fight with each other, to heal old wounds and burry old rivalries, to be supportive of each other? I'd rather have Niccia deal with it in a safe space while we are all there to comfort her, then to just not talk about what had happened. Healing comes from letting it out, not by locking it in."

Michael nodded to Niccia when she said she'd change into something else. He too had put on some new, clean clothes. "Shall we check on uncle?" he asked his Cyndaquil, who nodded to him. He got up and turned to Niccia. "I'll see you outside," he told her, showing a gentle smile.
"Do we bring him coffee?" Lytse asked.
"Maybe not a bad idea, he had one cup and a sandwich, but he always drinks two cups in the morning."

Andy finished the sandwich he had gotten from Benny and threw away the package. He watched the area around him. From what he learned so far it would be easy to spot the Legendary Pokémon; they all looked human, but had certain characteristics normal humans didn't have. Hair that mimicked their appearance for instance, and a way of walking that was just different - the gait of someone not walking on two legs often, a certain air of superiority, or a hint of awkwardness. He wondered if his nephew had picked up on that, but he decided Michael was probably too busy swooning over Niccia to really look at other people, and Michae; wasn't used to observing as he was. Observing Pokémon had been his job for years after all.

"Josh knows you and seems to listen to you," Benjamin said. "I better get to the mess before the staff gets angry with me, but you should look for Josh." He didn't like the idea of her going to Josh alone - he didn't like the man at all - but it was probably the best thing to do. "In a room where we have both staff and patients I think it would be suspicious to pose as either, so maybe lay low for now and I'll smuggle some food out in case you do get hungry."

The doctor came into the room Ray was lying and briefly glanced at the screens before turning his attention to Ray. "It's good to see you awake. I'd like to keep you here overnight, just to make sure everything is okay. I ordered a meal for you and a nurse will bring it soon." He took his stethoscope to listen to her heart and lungs. "How do you feel?" he asked her.

Marc did reasoanbly well with the game, he missed a few, but got a 84% score at the end. "Yes..." he muttered as he took his tickets. "Believe it or not, but this is a personal best," he said to Sara with a wink.
He looked at his tickets and the ones Sara had. It was probably enough for a small plush. "Do you want to play another game, or shall we look at what we can get with this and get something to eat?" he asked her.
"A friend? That is good." The psychiatrist smiled broadly as she said that. "I understand being here is not easy for you, but we will do everything we can to make it better for you." she turned her attention to the screen. "Do you feel your current medication is doing enough for you? The staff noted some concerns about them being not effective, but I want to know how you feel about it. Do they help you function properly, do you have any side-effects?"
Benjamin watched as Steph examined herself in the mirror, seeming preoccupied with it. He opened his mouth to say something when she removed her shirt, but at the sight of the healed wounds and scars on her back, the words got stuck in his throat.
He cleared his throat. "Steph, do you need help with anything?" he asked her.

"Listen," Stuart said. "Your rights are protected under Article 12. If you feel your boss isn't doing enough to uphold that, you can always contact the department for non-human agents and liaisons rights. I will send an e-mail with their number if you don't have it. They guard over the rights of non-human creatures that work with us or for us and are the experts on the articles about, including article 12. I will e-mail it to your recently changed colleague too." He paused to see if there were more things to discuss, but for now this would be enough.

"I will work on my report and I wish you the best of luck," Stuart said.

RPGC #29 – The Village

It is October, a month in the northern hemisphere linked to autumn, in which the leaves change colour, temperatures drop, and chilly wind and rain become more prevalent. It is also known for Halloween, even in countries that do not celebrate it.

The theme in our Discord this month is Spooktober, and RPGC will stick to that theme. Also, trying something new with this contest and I gave it a roleplaying-feel to it. So now I will present to you the prompt:

In the forest is a small, abandoned village; the old wooden houses and church could have a lovely rustic atmosphere, but in the darkness of the night, as the wind howls and tugs on loose exterior shutters and the rain pours down, the empty village feels sinister.

The roofs of most buildings seem to be in decent condition, so shelter from the rain can be found here, but there are rumours…

Take that house to the right; it is said a woman was murdered there and her spirits still resides inside.

Or the church, of which the doors have fallen from the hinges. It should be a holy place, but the last priest went mad and when the wind blows through the cracks it sounds like unholy laughter…

And the house on the left, wasn’t that the house where the rumoured cannibal lived?

A bone-chilling howl sounds from somewhere inside the forest. Wolf? Or something worse? It’s raining so you can’t see the moon, but you know that the clouds hide a full moon tonight.

What do you do? Do you leave this eerie village and try to find a cabin further in the woods, or do you take your chances with one of the three buildings?

@Stormflyx You're doing great :)
"Okay, time for breakfast!" Mindy said and she got up to buy a sandwich and some coffee.

Michael nodded; it was a nice thought the legendaries would be in their human form for Niccia. That meant they still cared about her. He watched Mindy leave to get some breakfast; being the first one up he had had an early breakfast. He didn't mind he had to wait for everyone though.

Andy stood outside, looking at the humans who were already up and going to school or work. How many legendary Pokémon walked among them? And where had Dialla gone?
"Yo, Merlin," he said.
A sound came from the roof and Andy looked up. "Did you sleep enough?"
Merlin nodded and Benny flew up to join him and told him what had happened in the center.
"Of course he threatened a Legendary Pokémon," Merlin sighed. "We better keep an eye on him then."

Penalopy turned to Rorsh. "I can't make myself visible here," she said, "let's go to the back of the Pokémon Center and I can talk properly with you.
James led the way when he heard where Penalopy wanted to go.
