Finally figured out a character concept, so here it is.

This is a world of wonders. Gods, aliens, and mutants walk the Earth. These powered individuals will often use their powers for their own benefit or to help others. These beings became known as supervillains and superheroes respectively. These heroes and villains first showed up during World War II, with heroes like Captain America captivating the public’s attention. In the decades following the war, the existence of mutants became public knowledge. Anti-mutant groups like the Friends of Humanity would quickly form as superheroes were lowered in public opinion.

This would change with the dawn of a new era of heroes. From the Spider-Man of New York City to the return of Captain America, heroes would once again be valued. This new influx of heroes would result in the formation of many teams like the Fantastic Four, X-Men, and the Avengers. While these heroes were busy fighting crime, they were watched over by SHIELD, a global defense agency. For many years this setup would work as heroes regularly saved the world. But that would change one year ago.

Captain America, leader of the Avengers, would discover that the terrorist organization HYDRA was secretly in control of SHIELD and had been manipulating world events. The many heroes of Earth would team up to defeat HYDRA, capturing most of its leaders. In the wake of this crisis, SHIELD would be disbanded. The planet was now left with a large hole in security.

Captain America would then be approached by Nick Fury, former head of SHIELD. After the two spoke, Cap would decide to expand the Avengers into a global agency. Captain America would then recruit many former and new members to the Avengers in what was known as the Unlimited Initiative. The first squad of these new Avengers teams would be based in New York City, operating out of the old Avengers Mansion.

So basically this was an RP I started about a month and a half ago that had some issues and kind of got stalled. However, several of the players and I wish to continue the RP, and to that end I’m looking for new players to help refill the player roster. Character wise we are favoring canon characters, though a few original characters could be accepted as well. As for what characters are acceptable, anyone who has been an Avenger or would make sense as a potential Avenger would be acceptable.

Right now we are keeping the lore vague as to allow for different interpretations of characters. You could play them as the same as the Marvel comics or MCU, or re-imagine them in some way. Currently taken characters can be found in the characters tab, while Steve Rogers and Nick Fury are also off limits.

So if anyone is interested in joining this RP, let me know either here or in the OOC page. Thanks in advance for any potential interest.

Even though I haven't seen the Rocketeer movie in many years, I do still find the concept interesting. So I'm throwing my hat into the ring for this and hoping that others are interested as well.

The Pixie grimaced as the alchemist as she attempted to explain herself to the transformed Dragon. To Dumas she seemed very blunt, an approach that Dumas himself would agree with in most situations, but not with a Dragon. It had been instilled in Dumas since he was a child to avoid the bigger races, as Pixies were naturally only a foot tall. Using magic, Dumas was now able to transform into the relative height of a Human, and as such was not fearful of anyone of that height. But the giant creatures were still beyond him. The usually gung ho Dumas was still hesitant in the face of things like Gryphons, Chimeras, and Dragons.

Dumas hoped that the explanation of the dead Dragon provoking the fight was good enough for this new elder Dragon. As he waited, Dumas noticed that there was some kind of construct among the other group. While Dumas was familiar with constructs, as he hailed from Oberia, this one was of a completely different design. Instead of artificial skin, it’s outside was very clearly metal. Also it had four arms. Dumas stared at the artificial being as it spoke in an unfamiliar language to its comrades.

But Dumas’ interest was immediately overtaken by the Dragon speaking. Apparently what the adventurers had done was in line with Dragon Code and as such would have no repercussions. Dumas had heard talk of the Dragon Code before, but assumed it was folklore as he had never heard of a mortal killing a Dragon, at least not a trustworthy account.

The Dragon then walked back to the group she arrived with and took a mediative position. Then the apparent leader of the others began speaking in Pataliputran, introducing herself as Almira Gunnarsson Budiman. It was a strange name to Dumas, but then again he never really learned about Pataliputran naming practices, so perhaps it could just be a more rare name. Almira then asked for their names before turning to the construct, asking it something in a mysterious language.

The Dragon knight then offered to translate any introductions into Pataliputran. But the Princess of Oberia spoke in Pataliputran herself introducing herself and asking something about the construct. But as Dumas also wondered about the construct, the alchemist, Catherine, introduced herself before asking a whole lot of questions. She brought up the possibility that the meteor was some kind of advanced vehicle. This hadn’t occurred to Dumas before. He had heard talk of airships before, but this meteor had come from the stars, making it some kind of starship. The notion seemed incredibly unlikely to Dumas, but as he looked at the four armed construct Dumas slowly realized how much more advanced these people were.

But what was not advanced was the martial artist popping back up from unconsciousness at the mention of Dragon tail steak. This primal reaction to the mention of delicious food was not lost on Dumas as he too wondered what that kind of meat would taste like. The newly conscious man the introduced himself as Fei Bai Ho, the greatest martial artist alive. Dumas could easily say that he had never heard of him.

With everyone else done speaking, the Pixie transformed back into his Human size form and spoke himself in Pataliputran, “My name is Dumas.”

But before he could expand on that, he realized he did not know how to say his full title in that language. So instead he turned to Srikandi, and began speaking in a more familiar language.

“Could you them that I’m the Knight of Deep Woods?” Dumas asked the Dragon knight, “Also mention that I’m a Pixie. Whoever these people are, I don’t think they’ve ever seen a Pixie before.”

Sure enough, Dumas had no clue who these people were. The Pixie believed that he had traveled across enough of the world to know most attires. But the garb of these people threw him off. Again he thought of the advanced vehicle theory, which could mean they had come from the stars. But the stars were the realm of gods and other celestial beings, and these newcomers, save the construct, all appeared Human. The many thoughts continued to puzzle Dumas as he waited for Srikandi to translate what he said.

Tai & Agumon

Location: Field, Digital World -> Control Centre, Paradox Engine
Mentions: Ben@Mintz, Danny@Crimson Flame, Merlin[@ActRaiserTheReturner], Terra@Dead Cruiser, Bruno@Lewascan2

It had been almost a year since Tai last visited the Digital World. With all the demands of starting high school in the Human World, Tai had been so overwhelmed that he hadn’t left Odaiba, much less his world. But with summer break, Tai finally had some free time and made it a point to visit Agumon and his other Digimon friends. And that’s why he was now lying down on his back, placed right next to Agumon.

Tai was relaxing on top of the bright green grass, a fresh breeze blowing across his face. Next to him was a small yellow dinosaur creature, his best friend Agumon. Further down the field was Tai’s human friends and their Digimon. It was really nice for all of them to come and be all together. As much as Tai wouldn’t like to admit it, he had been drifting away from his old friends like Sora, Izzy, and Matt. He figured that it was just a part of growing up, your relationships change.

But one person who Tai was still as close as ever with was Agumon. The dinosaur Digimon had fallen asleep next to his partner and best friend, the field of grass making a nice bed. As Tai stared up at the clouds, he too felt sleepy. But then his rest was disturbed by a loud gurgle coming from Agumon’s stomach. Tai just chuckled as the Digimon stood up.

“Tai, I’m hungry,” Agumon complained, “Do we have any food?”

“Maybe Joe packed something?” mused Tai as he too got up, “I mean there’s those purple fruits on the tree over there.”

“Alright, let’s go get some!” said Agumon cheerfully.

Tai and Agumon then walked over to the tree with the purple fruit, finding that it was just out of both of their reach. Without asking for permission, Tai grabbed Agumon and lifted him up toward the fruit.

“Tai, be careful and don’t drop me!” shouted Agumon.

“I won’t,” replied Tai with a chuckle.

As Agumon reached out with his claws to grab one of the plump fruit, it seemed like the digital sun got brighter as it got into Tai’s eyes. The light continued to increase in intensity as it messed with Tai’s equilibrium. Before he knew what was happening, Tai and Agumon began to tumble. Only to land on not the green grass, but a cold metal floor.

“You OK Agumon?” asked Tai as he pushed himself off the cold metal floor.

“Yeah Tai. And I saved the fruit!” responded Agumon as he took a bite of the purple fruit in his hand.

As Agumon munched on the fruit, Tai looked across the big room, seeing a gathering of other people. They all appeared Human, save some kind of crab Digimon who was mentioning something about a Paradox Engine. Tai got to his feet, Agumon joining him as he finished eating. The pair then began to approach the others.

It was then that Tai saw the white haired boy phase through the floor, meaning that he too could be a Digimon, just a Human looking one. Tai then wondered if the old wizard looking guy was also a Digimon. Maybe that meant that the others were there Human partners.

“Hey! Is this the Human World or Digital World? We’re not really sure how we got here or where this is? That Digimon mentioned a Paradox Engine? Is that like a Digimon as well?” asked Tai quickly.

“Shouldn’t we introduce ourselves Tai? You taught me about manners, remember?” interjected Agumon.

“Right,” muttered Tai as he scratched the back of his head, before speaking louder, “My name is Tai, and that’s Agumon.”

Tai hoped that these guys were friendly as he really didn’t feel like getting into a fight here. Plus he tended to assume the best of everyone when he met them. But he couldn’t assume the best of the situation as the manner in which he arrived here was similar to how he left summer camp and ended up in the Digital World, those five long years ago.

The half-elf was not prepared for the room before entering it. As soon as the door to the penthouse opened, the color red was clearly prevalent. The main room was coated in red blood, with various shades caused by the varying age of the blood splatter. It took Avi a few seconds to realize that most of the blood had been used to create runes on the wall. Avi recognized a few of the runes as old Norse, having taken a class on runes in university. However, he had only taken the one class and as such was far from an expert. Instead he would defer to Morgana.

But of more interest to Avi was the claw marks that were all along the furniture. At first glance they all seemed to be from a large animal, but as Avi looked at them, he could sense the faint trace of magic. Whatever had tore up this apartment was no basic animal, but rather a mythological creature. Avi immediately wondered if it was a Norse creature as that would line up with what he knew about the runes on the wall.

Madeleine seemed to notice his interest as she asked him to investigate the claw marks while Morgana looked over the various rituals strewn across the room. Avi was glad that he hadn’t been assigned to look over the pentagram in the centre of the room as he really hated dealing with Satanic powers. Ever since he began studying magic, Avi was steered away from the dark arts, coming to fear them slightly.

Instead he had focused on the academics of magic, something that would probably help identify the marks. Before going any farther into the room, Avi took the gloves Madeleine offered as he didn’t want to spoil the crime scene. The half-elf then went over to the nearest piece of furniture, a large blue couch placed in front of an abstract painting.

Immediately, Avi could declare that these were marks caused by the claws of a predator. As he gave it a closer look at the marks, they now appeared to be caused by a canine species, probably a large dog or wolf. But that didn’t help narrow down what this creature was, as there were countless breeds of magical dogs and wolfs from all over the world.

While Avi knew that he could probably get these claw marks analyzed by a scientist to figure out what this creature was, he also knew that would take several weeks at least. Instead he decided to rely on magic, Avi pressing his wand up against one of the marks. Using the wand as a magical focus, Avi put all of his attention into the claw mark, closing his eyes as he communed with the lingering magic.

With all of his mind on scanning the remaining magic, Avi started to feel something. He could tell that this had to do with nature, visions of wide open fields filling Avi’s mind. In his mind, Avi walked through the field, seeing something glowing golden in the distance. As Avi continued to pour his concentration through the wand, he got closer and closer to the golden thing. Eventually he could see what it truly was, a stalk of golden corn.

It took Avi a minute to make the connection between corn and the creature, but then he remembered another one of his university classes, this one on European folklore. In the text book was a section on Feldgeister, also known as field spirits or corn demons. They were nature spirits native to Germany, living in the wild and coming in many forms. And one of these types of field spirit did have the form of a large wolf.

“Roggenwolf,” Avi said quietly before speaking up, “I believe that this is a Roggenwolf, a wolf like nature spirit from here in Germany. While they are known to be dangerous, they usually target children, kidnapping them and then eating them. But if they are pressed into a corner, they could be quite violent to anyone.”

Looking at the Satanic circle in the centre of the room, Avi wondered if Friedrich had attempted to summon the nature spirit. But Morgana shot down that theory when she said that none of the symbols really amounted to anything, saying they were the ravings of a mad man. While insanity could explain the various symbols and blood, it did not explain what a Roggenwolf was doing in the penthouse. And more importantly, where had it gone.

The thought of a wolf spirit running amok in Frankfurt was a troubling one, especially since the claw marks on the furniture revealed that it was quite a large wolf. A chill ran down Avi’s spine as he walked away from the couch. Seeing that both Morgana and he had done their analysis, the half-elf walked over to the computer and Madeleine, wanting to see if she had any leads.

Thanks for replying! So I put together a combined character sheet for Tai and Agumon. If anything needs changing or expanding, please let me know. Also I'll be using the English dub names and terms.

Interested in this, but I don't have a character concept immediately jumping out at me.
@Mintz
Just checking if you are still accepting characters? If so I have a question about a possible character. I was thinking of doing Taichi and Agumon from the Digimon franchise. I was imagining having him be between Digimon O2 and Adventure Tri in age, and maybe give Agumon some alternate evolutions like in the 2020 reboot. But my main question is how would this work as a duo character? Do I write up an application for both Taichi and Agumon? Also for the purpose of the character limit would they count as one or two, because these particular characters require each other to really work. Thanks in advance for helping clear this up with me.
