The half-elf stared intently at Morgana, many thoughts about her trustworthiness rushing through his head. Avi had a nature of being suspicious, his time undercover cementing that fact. But he also recognized how useful she was to the investigation. Avi wanted to keep her close as he knew little about the Faith family, and having one nearby might prove a boon.

As Avi looked back at Madeleine to see what she was going to do, the demoness approached the English mage. She offered Morgana the option of signing a form that would state that she was good for the investigation. Avi was aware of this form, as when he worked undercover he had to have his handler sign such a form every few months to state that Avi hadn’t gone dirty or compromised his investigation.

It was fortunate that the official that would need to approve such a form was here in Frankfurt. Morgana then agreed to sign the form, making a joke about signing it in blood. Avi was slightly annoyed at how glib she was being, but he did recognize that this was a very awkward situation to be in, and that humor could just be for coping with it.

Madeleine then asked which of the three possible options of what to do next that they should pick. Avi agreed with the demoness about the potential threat of the Roggenwolf running about Frankfurt. Clearly that was the most pressing issue. But then Morgana said the wolf was a job for the local authorities. Avi immediately disagreed.

“While the lodge is important, I would say the Roggenwolf is more important,” stated Avi, “The local police are not equipped to deal with a powerful spirit. Also like Madeleine said, most spirits would be bewildered by the modern world. This could cause the Roggenwolf to revert to its basic instincts, which is eating children.”

Avi hoped that he had expressed how much danger this wolf spirit posed. They were a thing of medieval ages, not of this modern world. Especially not a city, as corn spirits were usually the realm of small druidic groups in the countryside. It still perplexed Avi as to why such a spirit had been here in the heart of Frankfurt. But that didn’t really matter right now, capturing the Roggenwolf was the priority.

“Look we can probably start a tracking spell, as from what I recall, corn spirits leave a mystic trail,” explained Avi, “We could use that to find it within hours, provided it doesn’t make a big scene itself by attacking someone. But once we capture the Roggenwolf, we can then focus on the lodge.”

Avi’s words were true, as he was interested in the lodge very much so, but so was his worry for the public if there was a large wolf spirit running amok. Since his days as an RCMP officer, Avi had always held protecting civilians in high status, something to work toward embodying it. This need to save people was only heightened as Avi continued to look around the penthouse, blood and claw marks everywhere.

I'm interested in this. An idea for a power for my character would be power mimicry, basically copying other people's powers on a weaker level. If that doesn't work then let me know so I can figure something else out.
THE TORCH

Jim found that he really enjoyed the New Wave genre. The flight over the Atlantic had given him a chance to sample Devo, Depeche Mode, New Order, and more bands. It was quite different then the orchestra music that had played on the radio back in the forties. It was just as Jim was wrapping up the Violator album that he was able to spot land. Jocasta then did the required checking in with British air control, ensuring that they had a straight path to the small Avengers facility located in Brighton, just a little south of London.

The robot lady quickly spoke to the air control, masterfully going through all the required procedures. After a minute they got the go ahead, and the Quinjet sped over British territory. Jim took the air pods out of his ears, as they neared their destination. It wasn’t long before they were passing by London. They then neared Brighton, Jocasta starting to lower the Quinjet on the outskirts of town.

Gracefully landing on a small airstrip, Jocasta turned toward the gathered Avengers, “We’ll only be here for a few minutes. If you want to get out and stretch your legs, you can. Or you could stay in the Quinjet, it’s your choice.”

Jim chose option one, unbuckling himself from the seat. Even though he was an android and one would would think that he didn’t need to do such things, the fact was that Jim was built with the idea of being identical to a human. But that meant that he had the same human weaknesses. So his legs had become stiff on the transcontinental flight.

As Jim stepped off the Quinjet, he spotted some guards positioned outside the building, wearing an MI-13 uniform. Jim had been briefed in the past by Steve on how the Avengers were functioning in the UK. The British government had been less than thrilled with the Avengers taking over the protection duties of the world. So they had MI-13, their own super agency. Basically they just tolerated the Avengers, allowing them a small presence on the British isles, but with MI-13 observers.

Jim had no intention of actually entering the building as he wasn’t even sure if he was allowed to. Instead he strolled up and down the airstrip, his body loosening up as he did so. As he made his way back to the airstrip, a man clad in black exited the building, the MI-13 guards saluting him.

“You’re the Torch right?” said the man in black, “The name is Blade. I think we might have met in World War Two? After all these years it’s hard to remember everyone.”

At the mention of the name Blade, Jim realized who this man was. The vampire who wasn’t really a vampire, the hunter of monsters. The mention of him fighting in World War Two was initially odd to Jim, as Blade appeared to be in his late twenties. But then he remembered that vampires could technically live forever.

“Possibly. The whole trauma of that war makes parts of it hazy. So are you working with MI-13 now?” Jim asked.

“I am. But I’m also an Avenger,” replied Blade, “Cap stationed me here as I’m part of both organizations. I’m basically here to make sure you guys play nice.”

“Right. I am actually not sure why we stopped here. I didn’t think that Quinjets need to refuel after only a few hours of flight?” questioned Jim.

“What, Jocasta didn’t tell you?” chuckled Blade, “You’re here to pick up a fresh recruit.”

“Really, I thought that the New York team was full?” asked Jim.

“Well he was supposed to be in New York, but he seems stuck on working out of Britain. I think Cap hopes that this mission will convince him to be a team player. Maybe ship off back to America with you guys,” explained Blade, “Actually he should be out soon. He has a big sword, you can’t miss him.”

Jim turned back toward the building waiting for the new recruit to appear. Jim wondered just how big a sword that Blade was alluding to, if it was something realistic like a zweihander, or something ridiculously big like out of a video game.

I hope so. I'm putting up a new narrative to progress the story. Hopefully that can kick up the momentum of this RP.

EDIT:
@BenG85 So we're moving ahead the story. Right now you can post as Black Knight as we are standing outside an Avengers base in England.
You had me at like Lord of the Rings and the Dark Crystal, both franchises I love. Right now I don't have a character in mind.
Jasper Reid

The dimensional refugee was a little offended at the fact that the other heroes seemed to ignore him. But then he realized that he had done nothing to show that he was really a hero. For all they knew he was just a guy cosplaying with a gas mask and Kevlar vest. Grailham City did have a sort of reputation for having many wannabe heroes and villains. Jasper could easily just been one of these fakes.

Still, it stung a little bit as the heroes assembled at the museum began to walk past him, apparently going home. Combined with the fact that Jasper had completely missed the battle at the museum, the young hero was rightly peeved off. So without saying anything, Jasper exited the museum and began the walk toward the library, where he had left the bag with his books and civilian outfit. Without the urgency of an explosion, Jasper decided to walk at a slower place.

He huffed at how pointless it was for him to rush into battle. That annoyance was only further increased as the city bus zoomed past Jasper, meaning he had missed getting on the bus again, and would have to wait another forty minutes. Not wishing to miss another bus, Jasper began to jog back toward the library. Within a few minutes, Jasper was once again in the alley beside the library branch. With as much speed as he could muster, Jasper pulled off his hero outfit and then put back on his shirt and jeans.

Stuffing his change of clothes back into his bag, Jasper left the alley and made his way to the bus stop in front of the library. Glancing at his phone, Jasper saw that it would be another half hour before the next bus was scheduled to arrive. Deciding to do something productive with his time waiting, Jasper fished the large book on Grailham history that he had checked out.

Skimming through the first few chapters, Jasper surmised that the history of Grailham in this dimension was very similar to that of his home dimension. Obviously there hadn’t been a Pandora Virus outbreak, but recent events were pretty much the same. One thing that Jasper had made sure of when he first arrived in this world was to make sure Terminus wasn’t a thing. The virus unleashing supervillain had essentially ended Jasper’s world, but a detailed search of this world’s Internet had showed that no one had heard of Terminus here.

As Jasper read, he began to lose track of time. His attempts to learn more about this dimension overtook his attention, turning from page to page. In fact he didn’t even notice the bus approaching him. Luckily the driver spotted him at the bus stop and pulled over. Jasper then noticed the bus, stuffing his book into his bag and pulling out his bus pass.

The ride back to Jasper’s apartment was uneventful. The streets were mostly empty this time of night, as he wasn’t passing through the partying part of town. By the time Jasper reached home it was technically the next day. As Jasper made his way up the stairway of his apartment building, he passed a room that was blaring music. Jasper thought of complaining to management, but then remembered that his landlord didn’t care what went on as long as you pay your rent and don’t wreck the building.

Thankfully for Jasper, his apartment was a few floors up from there, so the music wasn’t as quite as loud. As Jasper entered his apartment, he threw his bag onto the old, beat-up couch in the corner. Peeling off his clothing, Jasper collapsed onto the stiff bed he had. Pulling the sheets over him, Jasper could still hear the booming music from a few floors down. The drone of it pervaded Jasper’s head as he shifted in bed. But eventually his tiredness won out, and Jasper passed into unconsciousness.

Jasper would then open his eyes again several hours later, but not enough according to his body. His phone was buzzing with a tone just annoying enough to always wake him up. Reaching over and swiping off the alarm, Jasper rolled out of bed. He felt tired, apparently because of staying out too long and having a bad rest. Deciding that a cold shower was the answer, Jasper stripped off what clothes he had worn to bed.

Jasper was quickly in and out of the washroom, not wishing to spend too long in there. When he had first moved in, Jasper had made a solid attempt to clean up the washroom. But it was old, without outdated features, much like most of the apartment building. So there was always a little grime, just enough to cause Jasper not too linger.

After drying off and throwing on some fresh clothes, Jasper sat down at the small table next to the fridge and had a breakfast of champions: sugary cold cereal and milk. Jasper finished eating before looking at the time on his phone. He saw that he still had a little bit of time before he was supposed to remote access into work.

Walking over to his dresser, Jasper removed some sweaters to reveal a laptop. Jasper was still iffy about this part of town, so he had hidden all the valuables in different parts of the apartment unit. Bringing the laptop to the table, Jasper booted it up and immediately opened the Internet browser.

Wondering if the whole event at the museum had made the news, Jasper found that only a little information was available. It was mostly videos of the incident posted on social media, or mainstream news just stating that something had happened. Still wondering exactly what had happened, Jasper saw that he was due to start work in two minutes.

Pulling out a headset and accessing his company’s servers, Jasper got in the mindset of an IT support worker. It would only be a few minutes before a call was directed toward him.

“Hi, this is Jasper with GigaCom Tech Support, how may I help you?”
@BenG85
So, I didn't realize that Olympia was a real place when I made my character. I thought it was just a generic city somewhere in America. But yeah I looked it up and learned that it was the capital of Washington state. Whelp. You can blame it on my being Canadian.

Also I posted.
Chase Robinson

The young college student, Chase, always went for a jog in the morning before class. He always tried to traverse the entire campus, getting his blood flowing before he had to sit in class for the rest of the day. This particular morning he really needed the rush of oxygen as he gone to bed early the previous night with a bad headache. The painkillers he took had really left him lethargic, not wanting to get out of bed when the alarm on his phone went off.

So Chase threw on a pair of track pants and a sweater, and left his apartment which was only a few minutes away from campus. So Chase began to jog down the sidewalk, the crisp morning air clearing the pain that had been in his head during the night. As Chase jogged, he passed a lot of the common haunts of his fellow students. The local coffee shop used for studying, the bar frequented by those of age, and a small vape shop.

It was only a minute or two after that that Chase was in front of the campus. Surprisingly, even though it was still early in the morning, there seemed to be a lot of people about, rushing around the campus. Chase ignored this though as he started to make his way around the college grounds. But as he neared the Red Square, he was forced to come to a stop.

The whole area had been taped off with police tape, with both campus security and the local police force present. There were quite a few students gathered outside the tape, snapping pictures and taking videos with their phones. Curiosity got the better of Chase as he also pulled out his phone and also took pictures. As he did so he decided that he could say that it was for story ideas for his writing. But a picture would be a lot better if it had a story along with it. So Chase walked up to one of his fellow students.

“So what happened here?” asked Chase.

The female student turned to him, “Don’t know. No one’s saying anything. But apparently they’ve been here since before dawn.”

“Huh,” Chase muttered, before taking a photo of the police.

Chase would spend several more minutes hanging around the cordoned off area, hoping to get some hint as to what happened. But nothing would be revealed, as many of the other students left the area and went about their day. Chase figured that he should probably get going as well. Upon looking at the time on his phone, Chase realized that he had to speed back to his apartment if he was to be ready in time for class.

The sprint back home made Chase work up a sweat. Thankfully his very small apartment did include a shower. So Chase had a quick shower, once again glad that he had is own apartment, as he would’ve hated to share a shower with an entire dorm. Once he cleaned himself off, Chase threw on a shirt, jeans, and a jacket. He then grabbed his book bag and left his apartment again.

This time he didn’t sprint, instead power walking back to campus. As Chase made his way to the lecture hall where he had his first class, he saw that the Red Square was still sectioned off. But Chase didn’t have time to lallygag around the area, as his first class was in a few minutes.

Chase entered the lecture hall just as the Professor did. While Chase had been cutting it close in time to the start of class, he still had ample seating to choose from as a lot of people tended to skip the class. This mythology course that Chase was attending had a reputation as being a crackpot, easy course. So some people didn’t feel the need to attend the class regularly, or semi-regularly, or ever.

Chase found his favorite seat, the very middle, the same seat he liked at movie theaters, was open, so he claimed it. From this point Chase could see the projector screen very easily and he could hear Professor Abraham clearly. Granted what he did hear was largely incoherent, but Chase still enjoyed the lectures as fodder for his writing. The crazy creatures and magics talked about in this course worked really well in fantasy novels.

Professor Abraham waited the customary few minutes to allow for stragglers to get in before the lecture, but Chase didn’t see a point. Even with the class half full, Chase did note that this was a very large turnout of students. So like most days, Professor Abraham began his lecture, most of the students clearly on their phones or otherwise not paying attention.

Chase felt bad for the mythology professor, so he made it a thing to pay attention. The professor went into a discussion on ghosts and undead in various cultures, Chase noting that it was more coherent then some of his other lectures. As the professor spoke of guilt and retribution in relation to spirits, Chase decided to save that idea for a possible story, typing it into his notes app. Chase even smiled a little as Professor Abraham made a joke about history majors. This was turning out to be a decent class for a change in relation to other classes Chase was taking.
@Zapdos
I am also interested in this. But I have a question: if this is a Fantasy RP, what races are allowed? Is just Humans, or the standard elves and dwarves and such, or somethings more original?
