To roll dice you go to the main page of the guild and scroll to the top. In the top right corner is a button saying dice. Click on it, and then choose what type of dice to roll. You can then link to the result, proving that you actually rolled whatever amount. As for being interested in a Star Wars RP…

@rush99999 @Mistress Dizzy @mattmanganon @Dark Cloud @ErsatzEmpress

So I know I said I wasn’t up to running this, but I keep getting the nagging feeling in the back of my head that I want to run a Star Wars fate game. As such I’ve decided to post a new, fresh interest check. I’m hopeful that you guys are still interested, as I feel that this new interest check is more informative. If you guys still want to participate, here is the link.

Thank you, and may the Force be with you.

It’s been three months since the Galactic Empire lost its first major battle in its Civil War. The Rebel Fleet was able to destroy the super-weapon known as the Death Star, ruining countless years of Imperial planning. This disaster has caused the Empire to crack down even harder on all forms of resistance, its grip tightening around the Galaxy. And yet there is still hope. Spurred on by the Rebel victory at Yavin, many new recruits have decided to join the armed resistance. One such mass enrollment would be on the planet Pythis. A small tourist world in the Mid Rim, Pythis was just obscure enough for a Rebel recruiter to try and have multiple factions join the Rebellion at the same time. The only problem is that the Empire is aware of this, and is ready to strike as soon as the potential Rebels make themselves known.

So I really love the Fate Core system and would like to try running it here on the Guild. For those unfamiliar, Fate Core is a simple role-playing system that focuses more on telling a collaborative story than having in depth dice rolling rules. In fact the only dice roll ever done in Fate Core is rolling four fate dice, which will give you a result between negative four and plus four, to which you then add your relevant skill ranking. Obviously there’s a bit more to it than that, but the system is easy to learn.

Here’s some resources if you aren’t familiar with Fate Core:

If you are interested in participating, I ask that you start coming up with a character concept. All player characters are people who hate the Empire for some reason and are looking to join the Rebellion, coming to Pythis to meet with a Rebel recruiter. I am hesitant to include Jedi, being more open to other Force using traditions. As for species, pretty much any alien both canon or original would work, as long as they fit in the setting and aren’t overpowered.

So if people are interested in participating in this, please let me know. I’m here to answer any questions about the tabletop system or the setting that you may have. Also if we do get players, we can start discussing the setting and character roles together as collaborative game design in a big part of Fate Core.

May the Force be with you.
@Jo March
Hey just saw this interest check. I’m interested in pursuing the Star Wars one about the two Padawans surviving Order 66. In fact I posted pretty much the same idea in my interest check yesterday. If you want we can take this to PM if you want to discuss it more. However, I’m stating now that I prefer to roleplay by thread as opposed to PM or Discord. Let me know if you have any interest.
Hey everyone, looking to see if anyone is interested in doing some plots with me. I’ll admit first off that I’ve never done a 1x1 roleplay before, sticking to group and tabletop in the past. While I don’t mind romance, I’m not a huge fan of it being the central focus, instead wishing for it to occur naturally between two characters as we develop them. Also I prefer to roleplay by thread as opposed to by PM or Discord.

So here’s some ideas, noting that I intend for us to play original characters:

So those are all my ideas. If one or more sticks out to you, please let me know by posting in this thread, or if you want to be all secret like, by PM. I hope this catches someone’s eye as I really do want to try out 1x1 roleplaying. Thank you for reading this, especially if you read all of my numerous ideas.
Dick had been spending most of the day in the tower’s command center, Bruce’s warning about the Riddler still fresh in his mind. That threat was just one of many that Dick had been tracking, as many different crises could happen at any moment in Jump City. For most people this would be very overwhelming, but Dick had been trained for this. Years of studying under the Batman had made Dick sharp, able to deal with all kinds of stress. He was ready for all possibilities.

For the umpteenth time, Dick went over all the police and federal agency reports that pertained to Jump City. There had been a brief energy burst in the city, but it didn’t seem malicious. Other than that, H.I.V.E. had been oddly quiet, as had the Church of Blood. And yet Dick felt an unease. Something was telling him that he was in the calm before the storm, hence why he was looking into expanding the Titans roster.

It was with that thought of expansion that Dick remembered to look at the time. He had completely forgotten that he had an appointment with a potential Titan, an appointment that he was already several minutes late for. In a rush, Dick quickly booted down the system before heading for the elevator.

In less than a minute, Dick had reached the ground floor. As he stepped out the elevator, Dick noticed out of the corner of his eye Alrick and a mystery girl, with familiar hair, taking the other elevator down. As Titans were allowed guests at the tower, Dick didn’t question it.

Now on the main floor, Dick could see the familiar sight of Starfire, the recent recruit Pulse, and Grazer, a hero Dick had been looking into. The man here for the meeting was armed like crazy with guns, something that made Dick felt a little off. But as long as Grazer didn’t kill, Dick didn’t mind. Batman had ironed the idea into Dick’s head that heroes should never kill.

“My apologies,” said Dick as he entered the kitchen, “I was caught up with some threat assessment. I’m Robin. It seems you have already met Starfire and Pulse. If you want we can start the interview now, or I could show you around the tower first, whatever your preference is.”

Dick briefly glanced at Starfire, noticing her shimmering red hair. He noted that it was almost the same as that girl who was with Alrick, which was eerie to him. For a second he wondered if they were dealing with another Tamaranean. Blackfire had caused enough damage when she came to town, so this put Dick on edge.

“Who was that girl with Alrick?” Dick asked as he turned to Starfire, “Have we met her before?”

Something was up, Dick was sure of it due to his inner detective. However he figured that it wasn’t probably a big deal, as he did trust Alrick and his choice of who to bring to the tower. In fact he trusted all the Titans, which was why he needed to interview Grazer. The Teen Titans were a team, which meant that he had to know they all had his back. So, Dick knew he had to make sure definitely that Grazer was a fit for the team.

Lio was a little put off when the man in the mask simply answered I do. If Robin was testing him as a potential member of the Titans, then he would score low in friendliness. Still, he did seem to be a fellow hero, so Lio gave him a pass. Seeing that no one was answering the door, Lio pulled out his key card, given to him by Robin only about a week ago. Lio guessed that meant he might be moving past the probationary stage of his membership.

But before he could swipe his pass, the door opened to reveal Starfire, the bubbly orange-skinned alien Titan. However her greeting showed no awareness of who Lio was. The young scientist sighed. Was he really such a minor member of the team that the others didn’t even remember him? Granted he didn’t think he had even had a conversation with Starfire herself before. Most of his time at the tower was talking to Robin about the team or with Cyborg about technology. Still he smiled, and tried to make it look like he belonged here.

The other hero who had the appointment stated that he didn’t know Lio, which was far as Lio also had no idea who this other man was. Still they entered the tower together, following behind Starfire. The alien warrior stated that Robin was expecting this man, apparently called Grazer. So they might actually might be getting another new team member. Starfire then turned to Lio and asked if he also had business with Robin.

“Not exactly,” replied Lio, “I guess you don’t recognize me. I’m Pulse. Green Lantern made me join you guys as a probationary member a few weeks ago. I know I haven’t been around here much, since I decided to stay at my apartment then move in. But I am a Titan, or at least a probationary one.”

By now they were in the kitchen, Starfire offering food and drink. Lio politely turned her down, still a little miffed about her forgetting that he existed. Just then a Titan named Alrick and another unknown woman emerged into the kitchen. The woman introduced herself as Alrick’s cousin from Seattle. While they didn’t look anything a like, Lio couldn’t question it as we a lot paler than the rest of his family and tribe.

Remembering why he came to the area, Lio asked, “So has anyone seen anything weird around here. I was tracking some kind of temporal event that originated near here. So has anyone seen any cavemen running around or older versions of people trying to change the past?”

It was an outlandish question, but the data at S.T.A.R. labs backed it up. Something had pulled open time and space for a few seconds within a mile of Titans Tower. Lio really wanted to talk to Robin about it, but it seemed that Grazer had first dibs on meeting with the Titans’ team leader.
@nymian
If we need someone to take Robin, I can. He's the canon that I'm the most familiar with and would take him if we're allowed two characters. The reason I started with Pulse was because that character had been in my mind for a long time, but I also do love the Bat clan and will take Robin if allowed.
So I made a character. Deciding to not go with either idea I posted in the Interest Check. Anyways let me know if anything needs changing.

Valentin stood among a dead forest, killed by reckless use of mana. Like most places along the face of Ysten, this area was ruined, blighted by war and monstrosities. And yet Valentin felt a calm here, standing among the dead. Perhaps it was his youth spent talking to ghosts that made him prefer those things that have passed. Valentin glanced over at the spirit of Sir Adolis, his ancestor and companion. The deceased knight was humming some kind of war hymn, one no longer remembered among the current situation.

Valentin himself was standing next to a massive, dead oak tree, easily the biggest in the forest. Adolis and him had been waiting here for several hours now, as Edgar the Raven had told them that Lord Abyssius wanted to meet them there. The magical raven had flown off somewhere else as the tow Deng men waited. Valentin was quickly becoming restless, not helped by the fact that he could faintly hear the moans of zombies in the distance.

It was quickly becoming night and Valentin was growing hungry. While he didn’t have the overwhelming taste for blood that a full vampire would have, he did still like his meat very raw. Unfortunately he had no meat right now, as very few animals still dotted the landscape of the wastes. The only reliable place to get meat was from the massive farms built into the moving cities.

As all the food he had was plants, Valentin was considering going for a quick hunt, as perhaps there was still a hare or even a squirrel hiding among the dead wood. But before he could even leave, Edgar soared down next to him, landing on a branch of the oak tree.

“My apologies for making you wait,” Edgar said in the language of the dead, “My lord Abyssius had another matter to attend to.”

Sir Adolis stopped humming and asked, “And so what? He’s blowing us off?”

A deep chuckle swept through the forest, seemingly coming everywhere at once. Valentin recognized the chuckle, having first heard it after fleeing the moving city. And like that time, a thick fog then rolled in, enveloping the gathered trio. From within the fog, Valentin could hear a staff hitting the ground, and the shaking of bone pieces.

The fog then suddenly disappeared, leaving a hunched man standing in front of Valentin. He wore a thick, gray cloak, with various animal bones stitched in. In his hand was a staff made of petrified wood, from which they say he houses souls to bring them to the afterlife. And open his face was a white mask, with one half smiling, and the other half frowning. There was no doubt that this was Abyssius.

“Well met my champion,” said Abyssius with a bellowing voice, before turning to Adolis, “As well as noted spirit.”

Valentin bowed his head, “How may I serve my lord of death?”

“By fulfilling the promise of a gods’ champion,” stated Abyssius, “To do what a god themselves could not.”

Valentin wondered what was beyond the capability of Abyssius. He was one of the oldest gods of Ysten, having survived the war in the heavens. He had walked the realm since before man kept history, and Valentin thought that he would do so until the world finally died.

“What task do you have for me?” asked Valentin as he raised his head.

You have heard that there are other worlds, such as the one those damned Constructs came from?” When Valentin nodded, Abyssius continued, “Well in several such worlds there is a corruption that affects the gods. As such we need appointed mortals do deal with it. So there formed an alliance of gods who wished to fight the corruption. While I am loathe to associate with any other god, I do realize that if I were corrupted, Ysten would surely be destroyed.”

“So, I am to meet with these other gods and champions?” Valentin questioned, his mind ablaze with thoughts of other worlds.

“Well you were, but I was busy. A familiar of mine had told me that they have just departed the realm between,” responded Abyssius, “Which means that I’m throwing you into the thick of it. That damned Amaterasu had shared with me the location of the first world you will be intervening in.”

“First world?”

“Ah, I guess I didn’t mention that. There are four key worlds that support the corruption. If you are able to set things in those worlds, the corruption should abate.”

Valentin swallowed audibly. Going off to one world for a potential suicide mission was one thing, but four worlds? But Valentin pushed that thought down. Even if he died, he would become a ghost, and Sir Adolis seemed to like being a ghost.

Then Adolis finally spoke, “We are at your command, O God.”

“Then I shall send you three directly to the other champions,” stated Abyssius as a new fog rolled in, “Enter the mist and emerge in a new world.”

Valentin didn’t move immediately, a pang of fear seizing his legs. The glowing green form of Sir Adolis then stepped next to him, placing his hand on his descendant’s shoulder.

“Come now, this is the adventure we had been waiting for.”

With the support of his ancestor, Valentin did move, stepping forward into the fog. The gray mist would quickly envelop the trio, ripping them away from Ysten.

“I hope to see you again,” muttered Abyssius, before turning away and walking deeper into the dead wood.

It was just as the other champions were emerging from Amaterasu’s portal that a fog appeared out of nowhere. From said fog emerged a man clad in purple armor, alongside a squawking raven.

“Can you see anything Sir Adolis?” asked Valentin, seemingly talking to no one.

But before he could answer, the fog abated, revealing them to be in some sort of facility, with many machines around that Valentin couldn’t identify. Perhaps the Constructs had visited this world as well, or more likely in his mind, Ysten was just primitive compared to other worlds.

Standing on the other side of the room was a group of various looking strangers. From what Abyssius had said, they too were champions to a god or goddess. Some of them were armed, with blades and staffs, but Valentin didn’t feel threatened.

“Well met, champions,” said Valentin loudly, “I am Valentin, champion of Lord Abyssius.”

“And I’m Sir Adolis!” announced the ghost knight.

Valentin turned to the apparition, “Remember, they can’t see or hear you.”

“Sorry,” said Adolis sheepishly, “I had forgotten after our long period of exile that others do not have the sight.

Valentin knew that it must look odd to the other champions that he was apparently talking to air, but a lifetime of speaking to spirits had made Valentin shrug off the awkwardness generated by it. Instead, Valentin approached the group.

“I am afraid my addition seems to be last minute,” said Valentin, “Perhaps one of you could inform me of what our goal in this world is to stop the corruption.”

“I would like to know that as well,” said Edgar, though it just sounded like a squawk to the others.

The raven then landed on Valentin’s shoulder while he awaited a response. In the meantime, Sir Adolis began examining the room, hoping to make sure that they weren’t in any danger.
