The Spirits Within

I've put up a "0th post" in the IC tab with information about the first season of this game, and the first missions and hunts available. You can freely choose what you want to do right off the bat. For reference, Celise will partake in the "Battle for Leddale" mission, as it's her homestead.

@Prisk That brings me to a question I had about catalysts. Since they are mostly food items and you use the word consume is this something that our characters have to eat before combat? Or is simply having them in your inventory enough to activate its effects and they get used up in the process?

The roleplay aspect of it is optional. You don't have to actually describe the character mixing the ingredients and eating the catalyst. But, if you use a catalyst, you have to mention it somewhere so that I know. In previous games, we've included hiders in combat posts with quick information about what the character did (so that it's easy for me to see/go back and check).

As your characters are in the character tab, please do some pre-game shopping for 1000 Gil! roleplayerguild.com/posts/4378640 At the bottom you've got ingredients for Catalysts, and then some Items. You can't save the 1000 Gil, though, so go crazy and add whatever you get to your 'Property' section.

Time to make myself known!
I've gleaned and glanced over the characters thus far, nothing concrete in terms of some kinship, but I figure once I read in earnest, something will come about. Regardless, I know some naturally form within writing.

@Rockette is my RPG crush, so she's always welcome! We did speak in PMs, though, as she mentioned, so all is well. By the way, you can take your sheet out of the hider if you want! Or, I'd prefer it, as more easily accessible then.

Oh absolutely. The first thing I noticed after comparing our characters was the polarity. I'd assume whenever/if ever they've spoken they might not get along the best lol They're driven by opposite ideals. I'm interested to see how they interact.

Heh, you will be able to choose missions in the beginning. After that, the story will become increasingly linear. You can also put your sheet in the character tab and continue to work from there!

So, I thought I'd go through Celise's kinship here, briefly, and make some suggestions based on posted character sheets. If I don't see any clear connection, I'll just leave it at "known by name". As in, she knows your character's name and what your character looks like, but nothing beyond that, as it is with all Guardians at the academy.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I figure that Ajax is the kind of guy that would spend a considerable amount of time at the academy gym or obstacle courses. Celise would most likely frequent such places, but not as often perhaps. Maybe she has received some advice on workouts and diets, and spotting by Ajax during heavy lifts? It would be an isolated acquaintance, though. Thoughts?

I see a bit of antonyms in Roland and Celise. Roland seems to be focused on the collective and greater good, while Celise is the direct opposite. Perhaps they've clashed in previous debates during lectures? They're in different divisions, so they wouldn't have seminars together. Or, this could be something to expand upon in the story.

I hope you're still with us! So, Celise and Robert are in the same division, which means that they're bound to know each other more than just by name alone. Maybe they've done some group projects together and such?

I'm thinking Celise and Duke will be mostly by name. She'll definitely know who he is because of the distinct physical appearance. If you have any other suggestions, fire away!
