The main event of the beloved tradition was to be held in the small coastal town of Landow in Estren. The location for the closing ceremonies of the Festival of Lights was determined by a committee somewhere. They considered a range of factors, and then gave the desired location a year to prepare. It was rare for a municipality or county to decline the prestigious offering to host the event. Not only did it improve diplomatic and spiritual relationships, but it also came with considerable revenue from the thousands of people visiting.
