Meta Abilities: 
Paper Manipulation: Kijani has the ability to manipulate paper, and control it’s density. She can turn an index card into a razor sharp blade, a book into a brick, and newspaper into armor. She is limited only by her imagination, and distance. Every bit of paper within 50 feet is her plaything, from pages to paper towels. While she can use any paper on hand, she does have her preferences. If she knows a battle is upcoming, she will treat her paper in a special chemical coating that gives it a level of waterproofing. 

Temporary Speed: As a product of her past Kijani's genetics were spliced in an attempt to give her super human speed. While this testing was relatively successful, her body was not able to fully adjust to the newly found ability. While she has no access to the Speed Force, Kijani can move when it is necessary. What separates her from the higher levels is that her speed hurts her as much as it helps. She can move just faster than the human eye can detect, but for no longer than 3 seconds. Anything longer than that starts causing her extreme pain and physical overheating. Normally, she only uses it in split second bursts to assist her fighting style.

Skills:
Specialized fight style: Kijani’s self-invented style flows from move to move, never breaking stride even when she falls or is hit. it simply becomes another move in the dance. It’s a dangerous blend ballet, capoeira, and gymnastics that makes great use of her natural grace and enhanced speed.

Polyglot: Kijani has a gift for languages, and currently speaks English, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Mandarin and Japanese with accuracy. There are also a few conlangs (constructed languages) that she makes use of as well, the most notable being Sindarin (Tolkien Elvish).

Social Engineering: Kijani has a natural ease with convincing and conniving people. Her capacity to trade personalities and behaviors to get what she wants from others is by and large her most vital skill. Sometimes the people – pieces – don’t even know they’re being moved. This is the one field that she has surpassed her mentor in. Her potential to pull the strings behind the scenes is vast.

Weaknesses
Mind control: Due to Alpha’s attempt to brainwash her, Kijani has a vulnerability to mind control and brainwashing effects. Slade’s training has helped with this to a degree, but it continues to be an unconquered issue. The only thing she can do is know the signs, avoid them, and hope this glaring weakness never becomes public knowledge.

Sensory Deprivation: Putting Kijani in the same conditions that Alpha did is a surefire way to shatter her resolve and her grip on reality. Isolation and sound deprivation are the quickest routes. She will break faster than a regular person. 

Unique Power: Kijani has never met another meta who can control paper. Plants, metal, all kind of elements… but not paper. She does not use that part of her power needlessly, just because it’s rather memorable. News of a paper-wielding woman could reach Alpha, and that alone makes her hesitate.

Average Durability: Kijani does not have the superhuman durability that many heroes possess. No healing factor, no bulletproof skin – she will die like a regular human in a gunfight. The majority of her skills go a very long way to avoid and circumvent this reality.

Personality: Kijani is narcissistic and arrogant to a fault, but is also incredibly, dangerously intelligent. These two things seem in contrast with her energetic and sociable personality. Her sharp mind has served her when everything else failed, and one day, she will be at the top of the heap.

Dislikes: telepaths and mentalists, snow, quiet

Backstory: Kijani was born to two wealthy, brilliant people who happened to dislike each other. Her conception was essentially an accident, and her parents married out of propriety rather than love. When she was eleven, she was kidnapped by an organization known as the Alpha Continuum. She, among many other metahuman children, were part of a brutal program designed to create soldiers with multiple abilities. After a few months, she escaped and made it home to her parents. This experience marked her permanently, in many ways. She promised herself she’d never herself be weak again, no matter what it took. She became an emancipated minor at the age of sixteen, took her inheritance from her parents, and used it to start living life on her own terms.

After traveling to various countries, she came to Jump City. The young woman was “scouted” by Slade after a time and chose to join him. Despite her combat skills being average, her intelligence, ruthlessness, and ambition made up the difference. Under his brutal tutelage, she has worked in the shadows for years – surveillance, espionage and communications being her specialty. Zhi has stayed far from the spotlight by her own request – the fear of recapture by Alpha has been too great. This was the only thing that prevented her from being discovered when the rest of Slade’s pieces were swept off the board.

After 5 years, she’s returned to Jump City. Presumably, she’s under new management. But a lady always keeps her own secrets. All truths will come to light, in time.
