Leda Storm and Kiera Donovan @Nallore (Heroes of Olympus)
The Skyrose Multiverse began with the apocalypse RP, Abandoned Hope. This RP, which I GMed with @BlueSky44, incorporated a lot of lore from various shows and books that we liked. At first, we thought that was the biggest connection it would have. It has now expanded into a fully blown universe, with multiple GM's running connected RP, and an established continuity throughout the timeline.
Nancy did not hear Zeke in the throws of the seizure. She wasn’t aware of him holding her head, not until her consciousness dimly forced itself out of the darkness and into the light. She slowly opened her eyes, alarmed for a second at seeing a boy’s face so close to her own - but then it clicked into focus. It was her brother. She didn’t need to punch this man in the face for invading her personal space.
Sometimes, she didn’t know quite what to say when she woke up from a vision. Should she be like one of those oracles from the stories and immediately give up all the information? Or could she keep this to herself? Zeke needed to know the information, but… at the same time she couldn’t find her voice. She had been there. She wanted to be able to do these things on her own timeline, when she felt ready, when there wasn’t the weight of the world crushing them…
”It was… It was there. They threw us through the doors. And there was a wolf. I don’t want to think about this more. That’s all I saw.” She blinked her eyes, realizing that she was starting to tear up. She hated feeling so weak and vulnerable and powerless in her own story.
🌈 Leda Storm 🌈
Location: Under the Sea Skills: Rainbow Manipulation
The cyclops grabbed Leda by the throat, lifting her up as it attempted to squeeze the life out of her. Instinctively, Leda put her hands up to her throat, trying in vain to pry its hands off of her. This wasn’t how she was going to die. She wasn’t going to be killed by a common run of the mill monster. She had killed so many cyclopses in her life that she had lost count - her death, when it happened, was going to mean something. She was kicking her legs, as if that was going to help, when the cyclops exploded into dust and Leda fell to the cave floor. It took her a moment to recognize her savior. Sera. That girl was the real shit.
Leda opened her mouth to say as much, only for crippling pain to vibrate through her vocal cords. Instead, she gave Sera a thumbs up. Not being able to quip was probably more humiliating than possibly being killed by a cyclops.
Sera was right though - Kiera needed their help. Leda couldn’t speak, so she couldn’t tell Sera her on the fly plan. She just hoped the two sisters would see the opening she was making for them. Leda’s body began to glow every color of the rainbow, as she then blasted a beam of CareBear rainbow light right into Oceanus’ face - wishing she could’ve screamed eat shit, you c$%t! But instead, she put everything she had into maintaining that beam, giving Kiera and Sera an opening to attack.
Carolina, despite your wishes, you find yourself alone in the maze. The still air does not carry voices towards you. The tracks of the horses and the chariot in the ground seem to be vanishing before your very eyes, as the infernal earth attempts to isolate you even further from the others. If being alone in this bizarre corner of Limbo was not terrifying enough, you do not notice the assailant creeping up on you from behind. A vine snakes its way around your throat, others ensnaring your hands and feet - and you are suddenly being pulled back into the hedge. The hedge is alive. It has a giant mouth and gnashing teeth. And it is going to eat you alive if you cannot find a way to save yourself.
Come to me a voice whispers in your mind, one that is so intimately familiar to you, but yet you cannot place...
* * *
I am grateful that you found the child, Max. Protect her. This realm is no place for one so small. I wish I had told you more about Limbo and its demons, but they were not my horrors to share. The chariot has come to a halt, but you both have been long since separated from Carolina. The tracks left by the carriage have vanished, as if they had never been there. The horses, charmed by Klara, observe the two of you with curiosity now, instead of fear.
My name is Butter Rum one of the skeleton horses said. Its voice is strange - like nails on a chalkboard - but somehow intelligible.
And I am Mercymorn the other skeleton horse said.
Who are you, Pink Two-Legs? Butter Rum asked.
Is the other Two-Legs with you? I can eat him Mercymorn offered.

Ananym, the daughter of Belasco as Jack identified, takes the form of a young child. She has the classic demonic features - forked tongue, spaded tail, wings, yellow eyes, talons, and fangs. Her gift is her voice. Do not say I did not warn you.
"Jackass!!" Ananym gasped as she saw Jack. A happy smile plastered itself on her face. She was still missing her right fang. The tooth had yet to grow in. Her yellow eyes seemed somewhat disappointed though. She had no recognition towards you two, Madalyne and Annika.
The other demons, who had been circling young Ananym with blades, hissed. "Sorcerers Supreme!" they spat like a curse. One - an ugly brute named Kog'thakan who had pink flesh and a face somewhat between a rhino and a snake - tackled you, Jack. You both then began to spiral out of the sky, as Kog'thakan attempted to stab you with his blade.
Another - Zorzazos - attacked you, Annika. He had the face of a violin and the body of a tank, and arms that looked like tigers. He jumped at you. But Zorzazos was not nimble - nor was he smart. He missed you. The fall will most likely kill him.
The head of this group of demons, a green figured one with more traditional demonic features with the exception of its mouth, which was a kazoo, tooted at you, Madalyne, in a demonic tongue. You instinctively understood his words. "Join us, sister - the hour of our rise is now! Take your true form and pledge yourself in the boss' name!"

You could all do to be less trusting. I wish I had taken that advice. Perhaps I would still be alive.
The mausoleum is grim and cold, as to be expected. Rust coats the iron archways and dust coats every possible surface. A dead dove lies on the entranceway. There are no names on the walls to identify who was laid to rest here - just more symbols, more cherubs. But the mausoleum is not empty. You are not alone here. There is a presence that even I find myself enthralled to. It is a shadow on the wall. It carries a long scythe, not unlike the one wielded by an old friend of mine.
The shadow watches you. Do you watch it?
In the middle of the mausoleum, there is an altar. On this altar is a cup, with blood dried on the rim. Next to it is a long, curved knife. The blade is clean. A strange language is carved into the altar on which it rests, one that you somehow understand. It reads:
TO THAT WHICH YOU SEEK I OPEN THE WAY
Runa the Grey

Runa considered Edus' words deeply. There was clearly an element of time at play here. To them, the difference between the year 2021 and 2025 was a little thing - Midgardian years past by so quickly they hardly mattered. But when the Sorcerer Supreme was of Midgard and they found themselves, more than one, inheriting that office... such a small detail had to matter. Stephen Strange had been many things, but sloppy was not one of them. This was no mystical typo.
They did not offer up the designation of their world. That information she decided to keep to herself. If Edus asked explicitly, they would tell him their tale. If not, then it would remain a secret. She cared too much for the continuation of a singular series of events to risk events unfolding as they ought not. Edus would ask if he should ask, and not because of her prompting, they determined. "I have lived long, but even I have not seen sorcerers supreme. The Vishanti would not allow such a thing... Strange this is, and so he is at the heart of it all. We must find his body. Perhaps then, we might understand."
A cemetery seemed as good a place as any to begin a search - and Runa was pleased to hear the voice of Prudence once more, even as she was somewhat chaffing against Edus' auditory descriptions. Runa did not know what realm they were located in, beyond one marked by devils, yet an idea had begun to take form within their mind. The nature of their inheritance of the mantle limited them to a few options, but even Runa the Grey did not know every realm on Yggdrasill's branches.
She walked with Edus, one arm on him and the other clutching her staff. It amused them slightly that he had not yet noticed it - or perhaps he was too polite to remark on such a thing. She was not ashamed of the staff however. She did not regret its creation.
They made it to the mausoleum. Runa felt the sudden chill, the cold. And while they could not see, they saw. They saw the shadow with the scythe on the wall. Their body tensed. This was a test. She felt the eyes of fate and destiny upon them. But they felt they could not warn Edus and Prudence. Those two must choose their own path. Instead, Runa posed a question.
"I know much of Edus' training, but little of yours, Prudence child. I will tell you mine, if you would tell me yours. I am a witch of the old religion - the religion of what you would deem vikings. I shape the flames of life."

"He'll live," Megan told her parents curtly. They had done what they could for Lancelot, and Megan was fairly confident that the infection would clear. But there was not much else they could have done for him. If the infection did not clear, he would die. They did not have any other treatment methods available to them, given the nature of the wound. Although, Megan did consider that perhaps Merlin might've had some sort of a magical solution available.
She noted Sierra going outside, but made no move to follow her. She heard the sound of others outside just as Willow announced them. One of them was injured. Willow told Rapunzel this. She briefly contemplated leaving the person to their injuries. Yet as dark-sided as Megan could be, she had still made a vow when she received her medical degree. Megan walked silently but purposefully outside. The injured party was a ginger woman with sharp, almost bird-like features. She almost missed the wound, as she stared at the woman's face. She couldn't remember her name. It was an arrow wound to the leg.
"I need needle and thread, clear alcohol, and a torch," Megan announced. "Get her on the table inside, I can work there." The wound needed stitches. The alcohol would be used for cleaning the wound, as well as (in combination with the flame) sterilization of the needle. Megan's gaze settled briefly on another member of the group of newcomers - someone who may as well have been her twin. That was odd.
Vicky fired off her attack, and it hit. The infrared laser fired off first, setting Leah on fire. Her hair and her clothes were burning. The repulsor beam attack hit Leah second, not as powerful as the laser, but strong enough. It struck Leah in the neck. It was a fatal attack. Leah's form glitched for a moment, as three hearts appeared above her. One of the hearts then greyed out. And Leah vanished. Only to respawn at the platform she had first entered from.
Ed was keeping to himself, crouching down near the tree line and somehow managing to become somewhat invisible. He was watching the fights though, almost hungrily. He noted the hearts that had appeared above Leah, and how she had respawned. It was like a video game then. They had three lives. Hopefully, all the heavy hitters would tear each other apart, and then Ed could stroll on out and claim victory. Worst case scenario, he wouldn't be out of breath like the rest of them.
You can choose what variation of the uniform your character is in - i.e., pants or skirt or shorts. The top is going to be a plain white button up with a tie. In the winter months, people will put on an academy blazer or sweater on top, but it's likely way too warm for that right now. We're heavily drawing inspiration from the Umbrella Academy uniforms.

Each time a bat was destroyed, it turned into water, crashing helplessly into the ground. A similar thing had happened to the questing beast when Nimue dispelled it. If it hadn't been apparent to April then, it was now - the Lady of the Lake was using magic water. And all the water in the universe was April's to command. Could she control these creatures like water, before they had been dispelled? She wasn't sure. But what she did know though was that there was now plenty of water on the floor for her to work with - especially after Andy and Mads took out a fair number of the swarm.
The swarm kept on coming though. Mary Sue conjured up a weird sort of cage thing around them. "Nice job, uh... Sorry, I don't know your codename, Mary Sue!" April cried out. Her eyes were on the prize. The cage around them had narrow enough gaps that it would hopefully keep most of the bats out, although she was trying very hard to not worry too much about whether the bats could squeeze on through the gaps.
She held her hands out in front of her, bracing her body as if she was about to carry something heavy. And April tugged on every drop of water in the room. She thrusted her arms up towards the ceiling, and the water did the same thing, slamming into the swarm. The water sent the swarm up and into the ceiling, breaking some of the poor bats' bones in the process. She tried to force the water to keep the pressure up as long as she could, but her focus slipped and the water crashed down to the ground - the remaining bats along with it. "Any chance you could hit them with lightning?" she asked Andy. "Just maybe, um, try not to hit this cage - I'm not sure what material it's made out of - thoughts maybe? - but I don't wanna find out if it conducts electricity."
Lady Nimue had not said another word. She was as still as a statue, just watching the girls in the cage.
Percy Novikov
Location: Gym - Training Room B Skills: N/A
Percy was not surprised to hear that Zelda didn't even want to be here. He didn't particularly want to be on a team with Danni and Dorian either - Sabine, vicious as she was, was fine. He liked her sharp tongue. But while he wasn't thrilled with his team placement - mostly because he just could not stand Ser Nemo - Percy still wanted to win. He didn't want to be made a fool in front of the world's superhero community. He wanted the praise and the attention and the awards, and once he had them, he'd act like they were nothing. That they meant nothing. That he was above all of that stuff.
He knew the school rules - all the high school aged students had to be on a team. Zelda had to compete. "Maybe you can ask to be transferred to another team then, where people don't have a strong interest in winning," Percy suggested. He didn't mean it to be mean. But it probably came off that way. He wasn't arguing for April to be brought on - it'd probably just make Danni and Dorian even more unbearable. But if Zelda wasn't going to pull her weight, then he didn't want her on the team.
"Ms. Flynn, once training for the day is complete, would you stay behind so we can chat?" Ser Nemo asked. The coach didn't look shocked in the slightest that Zelda was having a crisis of confidence and wanted to quit. If anything, he seemed to have expected it. Percy narrowed his eyes. Had Ser Nemo time traveled briefly and seen everything that was going to happen that day already? Had he rehearsed in his head a thousand times how to convince Zelda to stay on the team? Did he keep on traveling back in time until he got it right, creating thousands of splinter realities?
Sabine however had a devilish grin on her face.
It was immediately apparent to Percy as to why. She didn't pick the teams that he expected her to. But she also didn't do the worst case scenario, which would've been pairing Percy up with Danni and Dorian. He gave a pitying glance to Zelda. This was her worst case scenario. "Interesting choice," Percy said to Sabine, moving to stand next to her. Actually, his worst case scenario probably would've been being paired up with Nemo. That might've just killed him.
Ser Nemo chuckled slightly at Danni's whine, shaking his head. "My dear boy, you competed first in the challenge. But take this lesson and heed it well. There are no redos. Treat every choice you make as if it is set in stone," Nemo advised. His tone became strangely sharp. "And there is only ever one winner - never two, no matter how it may seem."
Percy shook his head quizzically. What was that about? The vibes were so weird from Ser Nemo, and they seemed to change drastically by the minute. He guessed that maybe the bit about no redos could've been from the trauma of his apocalyptic future, but those futures were averted all the time. Time travel was all about redos. And as for the winner comment... well, the best Percy could guess is that Nemo was terribly competitive - simultaneously a sore loser and winner.
Ser Nemo then handed rope to the two teams, letting them tie themselves up. The obstacle course was a mirror image, meaning that the team of three would start off by going to the left, and the team of two to the right. "On your marks... get set... GO!"
Percy turned to face Sabine for a moment, before shuffling along with her up to the start of the course. There was a dizzying drop separating them and the other side. He assumed there had to be pillows or a crash pad or something down at the bottom. In the middle, a canoe was suspended on a rope. And on the other side, he could see the rest of the course. Percy snorted slightly. "Idiot. A drop like this is nothing to a teleporter," he boasted. "Don't hold your breath. When you're ready, I'll jump us."
Of course, Percy had never teleported another person before, but he wasn't about to tell Sabine that. Just like he hadn't mentioned the pounding headache or the growing feeling of nausea.
The obstacle course is identical for both groups. There are four stages to this course.
Stage 1: A sheer drop separates you from the rest of the course. The expanse is about 20 feet in length. In the middle, there is a small canoe tied to a rope. The canoe is approximately 7 feet in length.
Stage 2: There is a wall that you must scale. It is covered in sharp, pointy thorns. The wall is 30 feet tall. No climbing equipment has been provided, but there seem to be handholds behind the thorns, if you could reach them.
Stage 3: There is a table with a small red box, and three photographs. The photographs are of three mean, labeled Sinister, Malcom, and Benjamin. There are three doors in front of you. Inside the red box, there is a tooth. Behind two doors are monsters you must fight. Only one door is clear. Identify the owner of the tooth and use that information to pick the correct door.
Stage 4: The final stage. There is again a table in this room. On the table is a bomb. Disarm it. If you do not disarm it, it will explode.
I wish you were not here, little one. This realm is no place for a child. It is a place of horrors and nightmares, but the loss I fear you may experience... the trauma endured by Miss Rasputina... it is a sin I cannot bear to see repeated. And yet, the magic of my station chose you. I could do nothing to stop it.
The skeletal horses, strangers to kindness and bedfellows to cruelty, took off in fear at your touch. They cart you along with them, clinging to the chariot for dear life. They bound off aimlessly into the hedge maze, turning at random. At the speed they are going, you will soon be separated from the others - from the Sorcerer of Reality and the Sorceress of Divination. I hope they find a way to catch up to you, little one, or the horses will be the least of your concerns.
You see, child, the hedge maze is alive. And it hungers for flesh.

Sorceress of Evocation, Sorcerer of Umbramancy, and Sorceress of Transmutation - you three walk calmly towards the Tower. Yet the land itself seems to be alive and shifting, the Tower moving towards you as you move towards it. The effect is dizzying - I hope that you all have strong stomachs. I must ask you again to heed this omen. Brace yourself, for the Tower is of Revelation.
The tower is tall, taller than your mind can comprehend. It is covered in dead vines, and skulls of vaguely humanoid shape litter the ground around it. The small windows have no light, save for one at the very top, so high up that it hurts your neck to crane and see it. The mood is already ominous and foreboding, as you hear an ear piercing scream.
It came from the top of the tower.

You make your way to the cemetery gate, Sorceress of Curses. Your unwitting companions do not follow you - at least, not yet. Perhaps that is for the best. The mantle of Sorcerer Supreme is lonely and the path you must walk lonelier still. Had I not had pity on a friend, I would still be alive. This may be a correction for my mistakes. When you arrive at the cemetery, it seems to stretch on for miles, as far as the eye can see. The names on the tombs are in a tongue that you cannot read, but the images make their impressions. Cherubs are carved onto these tombs. These are infant graves.
If you would walk deep into the cemetery, you would notice a mausoleum sits at its center. Its entranceway is weakly lit by two torches, struggling to maintain their flames. The temperature plummets and the wind howls. You see your breath in the air in front of you. You have never known such cold before.

Prudence. A lovely name, if it were true. Runa was far too old and untrusting to give her name to a stranger. They knew the sorts of magic that could be worked with such things. They would have to scold the children for this action later. Prudence was unknown, but Runa had known Edus. He ought to have known better. "A friend, yes," Runa agreed. His words did not help her much to contextualize what era he came from. They had known each other briefly - less than the span of a Midgardian's lifetime, of which Runa had now lived trillions.
They chuckled slightly. "Your aid is more valuable that just knowledge, my old friend. My body is weak and tired, and my eyes long since gone. My staff is sufficient, but a guiding hand would be a welcome kindness." They did not wish to expend magic to see at the moment. If they had, they might have noticed the cemetery beckoning them - or that Prudence had walked off without a word.
Instead, Runa surmised that the young sorceress was simply quiet. She could understand that. She had been much the same at that age. There had been a century of time when their parents had thought they had gone mute. "Pray tell, what did your letter say?" Runa then inquired. They reached a hand into the pocket of the cloak, feeling a stiff piece of paper. They pulled it out. "And am I to surmise that this is a letter from poor Stephen as well?"
Guin snorted somewhat derisively at Max's admission that he had just assumed. "Well, I'm billing you for those suits. Maybe next time just have your new rags appear in a box right by us, instead of disappearing suits that were specifically designed for us and didn't feature patriotic propaganda. Besides, I thought you'd consider yourself to be Genoshan." She probably shouldn't have said the next bit, but she was feeling irritated with him. Irritated with everyone, really. And stressed. "Or did that end when the island did?"
I'm getting cranky. I'm gonna be a huge bitch. So distract me somewhat. Where is it you wanted to go on vacation? Guin telepathically whispered back to Pietro. Only she didn't use the word bitch - she used the c word.
Most of the people on the ship seemed to want to continue just chatting about strategy for once they were inside. She got the impulse, but she was feeling antsy as well. The longer the ship hovered there, the more likely that Magneto would detect it - and with just one thought, he could kill them all. She had to hope that if he noticed them, he'd choose to be more dramatic about things and give them a fighting chance. "Look, we can chat more about what powers people can use once we're on the station. Every second we sit here is another second that Magneto can crush and kill us with a thought. I'm going to contact Mare, see if she can get to the docking bay. Either we dock the ship there or we use the escape pods."
Guin then put a hand to her temple, and she concentrated, hoping it'd be easier to cut through and reach Mary now. Mare, you there? We need an assist. Can you get to the docking bay and lower the shields or doors or whatever the fuck they're using to seal it off? We gotta land the ship - or jettison ourselves out in the pods.
The other option would be to try to space walk over to the station, but that still likely would require some help from the inside to board.
Guin is trying to send that telepathic message above
Neil appreciated the comfort Annie offered him, but he was sad at the same time to know that they hadn't met his other self. As much as the realization he was on the cusp of terrified him... he knew he wanted it all the same. He just hadn't found the courage to admit it, to himself more than to others.
They caught up with Bethany, finding themselves in a room that had a few computers in it. Neil naively thought for a moment that this might've been the main security room, before Mira mentioned that it wasn't. But that it could still be useful. He wasn't a techie himself, so he trusted her explanation and didn't think about it too hard. It was right. It had to be. Mira said it. But just as Mira got to work, the sound of footsteps were approaching. Nothing could ever be easy. At least Bethany had already figured out who was and wasn't on the station.
"If your thing doesn't work, we have to make sure Mira has the time she needs," Neil whispered. "Even if it means a fight."
They were in a large grassy field, each of them standing on a separate circular platform. These platforms surrounded a gigantic cornucopia, filled with weapons and supplies. Some items were thrown in the grass around the horn, and a few things were even pretty close to the platforms. Ed's eyes widened, before he laughed slightly. "I love the Hunger Games!" he admitted. He then did his best to mimic Prue's whistle, but didn't quite do it right.
Then, from up above, Usagi's voice boomed - "FIGHT TO THE LAST!"
The battle royale had begun.
Arcade took off of his platform at a sprint, surprisingly fast. He scooped up a large hunting knife, and then sprinted as far away from the cornucopia as he could. He played enough of these games. He knew that central location would be a blood bath. He made it to the tree lines when suddenly a wall of pixels appeared and his face smashed right into them.
"Damn it, Usagi, you made the arena too small!" Arcade cursed, his heart pounding.

The questing beast was going right for April, as her eyes widened and then narrowed with determination. Her heart was pounding a million beats a minute, but she held tightly onto the sword that Mary Sue had conjured up for her, and in her other hand, she was holding a small ball of coffee water. "I can do this, I can do this, I can do this," April muttered under her breath. She swung her sword, only to...
"Argh!" April screamed. The beast had sunk its fangs into her arm. And it wasn't letting go. Her arm felt like it was on fire, and she hoped to the gods that it was just because of, y'know, the giant wound. And not venom. She didn't know if the questing beast was venomous. If it was, hopefully Lady Nimue would take pity on them - but so far, their mentor seemed unmoved, watching them all coldly.
The water April had been keeping up fell to the ground lamely. She could vaguely make out snippets of conversation behind her - Mary Sue pleading with Nimue to call off the beast - but her head was throbbing. Her vision was swimming, a wild swirl of colors all around her. For a brief second, she could've sworn she saw Danni and Dori... laughing at her. She tried to swing her sword, but her body felt like lead. And then she went limp, fainting for the second time that week.
"I have seen enough," Lady Nimue said, raising a hand. The questing beast collapsed, turning into water that lapped at the floor. She reached into her bosom and produced a cordial. She placed a drop of it on the head of April, Mads, and Andy - everyone except for Mary Sue, essentially. The venom dissipated from April's body. Mads' demon form washed away. And Andy found herself healed, restored to her senses.
"...Did I seriously faint again? And wake up wet?" April groaned under her breath. She had been right next to the questing beast, so she was now completely soaked in water. This was sadly starting to become a pattern. She was shaken though, her mind going back to that weird vision she had had, when the venom was inside her. Danni and Dori laughing at her... Her heart cracked slightly. They hadn't even texted her. Maybe they didn't care. Maybe they didn't need her anymore.
"You are not ready for what is to come," Lady Nimue said, addressing the group. She seemed more stressed than disappointed. "Only one of you has impressed me so far today. I would like to see that changed. Now, take up your swords and defend your lady!"
Nimue snapped her fingers, and a flock of what must have been a thousand bats appeared out of nowhere, rushing at the group!

"Good ear, Ms. Flynn. I have lived long enough in Otherworld that I have adopted that accent for my own," Ser Nemo said. He did not care for the students criticizing Zelda, but his comments would have been very much the same. Without confidence, she would never achieve her full potential. He did not come all this way to see these students only achieve mediocrity. "Confidence will come with time - and good friends."
He then eyed Sabine. "Ms. Bassard, while I applaud your defense of your friend, if you would threaten one of my students again, I will have to send you to detention - as I would Mr. Novikov, if he continues to make such choices."
Percy's nostrils flared. Detention? For making a point and completing Nemo's stupid test? Everyone else here was getting praised, whereas this old asshat seemed to hate him. Fine. The feeling was mutual. His insides felt all twisted up whenever he looked at him, the old man was probably carrying a million weird diseases. Percy didn't know much about Otherworld, but he knew that the place was supposed to be crazy. Nemo being from there checked out. They probably had loads of fake knights running around that place.
"What's your problem with me?" Percy snapped, glaring daggers at Ser Nemo. His eyes briefly crossed. Sweat was pouring down his neck. His body was screaming at him to go lie down in bed and take it easy, but Percy refused. He was fine. He wasn't sick. He most definitely didn't catch whatever his roommate had.
"I have no issue with you, despite your attempt on my life," Ser Nemo said coolly. "Now, as for the winner of the challenge - that is none other than Ms. Bassard. As a reward, you get to select the teams for today's obstacle course. One team of two and another of three. The teams will enter from opposite sides of the course." He then smiled, with a twinkle in his eye. "The teams will be tied together at the legs and arms."
Percy wasn't actually pissed that one of Dorian's friends was put in charge. He figured there was no way that Sabine put him with any of her friends. That was fine with him. Put him with Zelda. The team of two would have an easier time - plus, Percy could just teleport himself and Zelda through the course. No running or awkward movements required. Nemo probably didn't think that part through. He smirked slightly, proud of himself already.
"I still can't believe Minerva has children," Nancy said, shaking her head. "It'd be like Aunt Diana showing up with kids. Or Vesta. Or Juno having another husband. It's so... weird." But her comments were somewhat distant. That really wasn't what Nancy was thinking about at the moment. No, her mind was turning over something else entirely. Her ears had started to ring, and her head felt cloudy, almost out of sync with her body.
It felt like she wasn't in control - that she was watching someone else operate her lips and speak with her voice, as she reached out a hand for her brother. "Zeke, the-," Nancy managed to stammer, before everything went dark. Zeke would see Nancy's limbs go slack as she collapsed onto the sidewalk. Her eyes rolled back and her breathing became shallow and slow. Then, her body began to convulse, trapped in the grips of a seizure.
Nancy saw something else entirely different though. She was there. Her throat felt thick, as if she had a brick blocking her airway. Her hands were clammy and she was so certain that if she looked down, she would still see the blood of the men she had killed all those years ago. She wanted so desperately to close her eyes and to scream, to scream as loud as she could until the building fell down from the sheer force of her being, but she couldn't do it. Every time she closed her eyes, the vision slid back into place.
That's when it occurred to her - this wasn't real. It was just her curse. She forced herself to try to steady her breathing, to try to memorize the faces and details through tear-blurred eyes. The questing group was tied up, held captive by monsters in front of the Doors of Death. They were thrown on through, landing in what must've been the Pit. Nancy caught a glimpse of a wolf - Lupa, she hoped instinctively - before everything faded away.
🌈 Leda Storm 🌈
Location: Under the Sea Skills: Superspeed, Sword Fighting
Leda cried out in pain as the healing water hit her back, sealing her wounds. Her hair was halfway out of its braid, messy and sticking up at odd angles. Her blood stained the back of her clothes. And in her eyes, there was a sort of a feral fire that had been lit. "I'm - I'm fine," Leda choked out. It was the nastiest wound she had ever received from a monster. It could have easily been the last one. Kiera had healed the bite, but it still ached and throbbed and curdled. It'd be one hell of a scar, Leda could tell as much.
The ground shook, and Leda collapsed to her knees. She wished she had been standing when Oceanus entered - that she could have spat in his eye. The water currents collided against her and she flew backwards, her injured back hitting a wall and Leda cried out in pain again. "Don't kill Ocy-anus until I'm there, luv," Leda requested. She wasn't going to get the yips. She was a daughter of Iris - her entire gimmick was killing dozens of monsters before other demigods could move.
She accepted Kiera's hand up, and readied her sword again. Had the intensity and seriousness of this fight not been dialed up to eleven, she would've complimented Sera on her technique. She was a new demigod, but definitely the sea god's daughter. Instead, Leda took off at a run, ignoring the burning pain as she slashed and slashed and slashed. She wasn't moving as fast as normal, and some of the cyclopses managed to dodge her initial blows. She killed one and injured another. Another strike and the injured one fell. One more swing and another died, but the last one evaded her.
It is funny, how time can separate and sever a bond. Most of you have known each other - do know each other - or will know each other. It is one of the tricks of Limbo. It seeks to separate and divide, to create strife and chaos, to bring out the darkest parts of your soul.
The young half-demon is proof of this. Horns had sprouted from her head and her eyes turned cat-yellow. Now, a forked tail has grown from the base of her spine, and her teeth morphed into razor sharp fangs, all the better to rip and tear. Her fingernails have lengthened into sharp talons, befitting a predator in her natural environment. Are these changes merely cosmetic? Or is Madalyne Crane becoming something else entirely? What will she hunger for... what forbidden tastes will prove the point of no return, resulting in a further loss of her soul?
I told you all to find your bloodstones.
I died because you did not, Maximilian.
The land seems still, for a moment. Where once only mountains stood, your vision will pick out a new structure. Heed this omen. Or do not. You will simply only end up in hell with me.
Madalyne, Jack, and Annika will see a grim and imposing tower, so tall that it appears to pierce the red sky.
Maximilian, Princess Klara, and Carolina will see a large hedge maze, the shrubbery dead and dying yet still standing tall. A lone chariot rests at the entrance, fastened to two skeletal horses.
Prudence and Edus will see a cemetery, the iron gates open and beckoning. Queen Runa does not, as she cannot see.
Runa the Grey
Location: Limbo Skills: Intuition Spells: N/A
"Aye, I suppose I do seem Strange, dressed in his cloak," Runa answered the voice. They did not choose to use their gifts to take a glimpse at this person. Instead, they let their imagination guide them. Perhaps that was not a wise choice. The fog of this place may have physically obscured vision, but it did the same thing to senses and emotions. She could not tell who this stranger was, be it friend or foe - and their mind was leaning towards the latter. Her eyebrows furrowed ever so slightly. They could not trust this person.
"My business is my own, traveler. For a name, you may use Gullveig - or Seeress, if your tongue cannot form such a shape," Runa the Grey said. "What shall I call you?"
The other voice was obscured to them as well - she would not have known the speaker had they not introduced themselves. Had her hood not been so low, a look of genuine surprise would have appeared on their ancient face. Edus Penior. A name she had not thought of in many ages. There had been a brief moment, a slight drop in the river of her life, where she had known him. He had been a warrior brother to her late husband. Runa clutched her bone staff tighter.
"Edus, son of Catrine. It has been some time," Runa said, lifting up a withered hand and pushing back the hood of the cloak. They had been a young goddess when Edus' life had expired, all those years ago. They looked different now. Their skin had been ravaged by time. Where eyes should have been, there was nothing but empty sockets. But the expressions, those never changed. To those who loved Runa, Baldur's daughter, they would know the Seeress was she. "Will you not aid an old comrade in arms?"
"Jedi Temple, NOW!" Raynor ordered the poor, terrified taxi driver. Luckily, he didn't have to ask twice, as the driver stepped on it. The passenger was quiet too, also scared to death. Some people were scared of the Jedi, but Raynor was fairly confident the fear was more of from the fact that two people had just dove onto his cab in the midst of heavy traffic. Raynor turned and gave the passenger his most charming grin. "Everything is fine."
"We get to the Jedi Temple, we tell the Council about what Jarothe did, and then he'll be arrested and you'll be free." He assumed that Shakka was on board with that plan. She had to be. It was the right thing to do. And she'd be in a better place. Raynor really felt that everything here was going to work out - that the will of the Force was being done.

[hider=The Skyrose Multiverse]The Skyrose Multiverse began with the apocalypse RP, Abandoned Hope. This RP, which I GMed with [@BlueSky44], incorporated a lot of lore from various shows and books that we liked. At first, we thought that was the biggest connection it would have. It has now expanded into a fully blown universe, with multiple GM's running connected RP, and an established continuity throughout the timeline.
