2 Potion 5 Pokeballs 1 Guide to Mt. Strength 4150P
"Nice job, Gibs!" Erika shouted her encouragement as she quickly fished around in her bag for an empty Pokeball. She had no doubt that her Gible would be fine in this situation, seeing as his Ground typing would protect him from any crazed electricity attacks. However, she felt a tad impatient seeing as Pikachu was so easily pinned by Gibs that she decided it was enough to try to catch it.
With an accurate toss, she managed to peg that Pikachu and made him vanish in a flash of light. Gibs plopped unceremoniously into the ground but jumped up with a confident swagger like it was all planned. One shake... Two shakes... Caught!
Erika raised her hand up to her face before clenching her fists tightly in a triumphant emote. "Nice. An Electric type is perfect. Gibs, welcome Chu to the team!" Erika called out as she buckled in the new Pokeball to her team belt. Gibs gleamed back with a flex as he clearly believed he was the MVP of the team for that assist.
With her new member in hand, Erika navigated her way back to her companions, Joshua and Ewan, after her brief interlude. "Hey guys! Alright, I finally have an Electric type on my team. So I'm all set!" Erika greeted her companions before motioning her head towards the mountain. "If you wanted, we can check out the Frozen Cavern. Growing up, I always heard trainers talk about it and I finally get to live it...!" Erika beamed as her voice trailed off thinking about home. She'd love to show her mother just how far she has gone and her team shaping up, but it was still too soon! Cooldome City is supposed to be a tough place to battle and Erika hasn't even had that many opportunities to test herself. She needed more experience and then, she would be confident.
5. Move along. Move along normally, letting any events that may come happen naturally. Destination: Frozen Cavern.
Oh yea... Stillwood is the one. Anyway, yea. Erika will be in the same territory so seems like it would be natural for them to meet up eventually especially considering they're both looking for a gym.
Not rushing you or anything so feel free to pursue anything Platinum throws at you but to give a rough idea of Erika’s prospective timeline. She’s going to head over to the Frozen Cavern for a bit before heading to Rainrock. She’ll probably challenge a trainer potentially but I know in rainrock or just before she wants to challenge Joshua or Ewan (I forget which one right now x.x)
If Claire is close before that challenge, it can be a Twin battle too!
Anyway that’s what I’m thinking. Erika isn’t going to go through Mt. Strength until she meets up with Claire. Most likely, anyway.
Personality: There is a sort of regal permanence to Naoko's demeanor which is noted as something of a change compared to her previous life where she was much more humble and modest. Naoko strives to present herself as upstanding and dependable person but on the flip-side of her convincing herself that she is a model Shinigami, she often holds others with contempt especially if they seem like the type to be Naoko's opposite. The result of this is that she often times has trouble establishing deeper companionship with others as she can be very critical of another's actions while also being vocally opposed to others being critical of her. Naoko has a high ambition and a strong sense of perseverance that often times leads to further complications with others, mainly through her aggressive and assertive nature.
Of course through all of that, hints of Naoko's former attitude exist. She remains rather lonely, often the product of accidentally pushing others away from stubbornness and although sometimes difficult, it feels natural to be by herself. There is also still a quiet appreciation of art and any expression of that in others is likely to draw her attention and admiration, and surprisingly, even if it is bad, she can still find the attempt endearing.
Former Life: A Tokyo native in the modern era, Naoko had previously and will always have an attachment to art and she was rather remarkable at all kinds of fine arts. Even at a young age, her imagination being brought to the canvas had often captivated others. She was often recognized officially by committees and competitions and had won many awards in her teenage years. Many believed she was destined to have a bright future ahead of herself with her magnificent talent. Tragically in her early adulthood she died unexpectedly in fashion that had left many to wonder whether she had killed herself, had fallen victim to chance, or something more malicious was committed against her. She died in a car accident when her vehicle went off the road.
Biography: Following Naoko's first death, her soul would pass onto to the next life. From there, Naoko did what felt natural and continued to illustrate and paint to make a living in this new life. Unfortunately due to the rather barbaric conditions of the poorer outskirts, namely Rukongai District 85, there wasn't a lot of interest. Of course it wasn't exactly the fault of the district population. Naoko's artistic talent had left her, cursed by the feeling of crippled fingers. She could barely write her name. At first she suspected it was some weird carry-over effect from her car accident but even if that was the case, she quickly despaired thinking she was doomed to some miserable existence in this life for some reason or another.
Existence in the outer district was a lonely affair, with Naoko's closed, peaceful nature not awarding her with many companions in this new and tough rugged world. Unsure of how things worked, she refused any offer of adoption, clinging to the idea that maybe her parents could find her, leaving her on her own.
However there was one that offered the crippled artist companionship but not only that, he offered her protection and even encouragement. A rough and ferocious man that appeared around her age. It was through this relationship that the timid Naoko managed to build some backbone and some fire to match this depraved district. More importantly, he helped Naoko battle through her crippled finger conditions by challenging her to push through that feeling of being crippled. Surprisingly, she was starting to find the ability to push through it and as a consequence, her Reiryoku and Reishi began to build from the sheer willpower.
As time passed, she grew alongside her friend as he fought in pit fights and she tagged along, often times painting portraits of his exploits in practice. Eventually they were only phantoms to the rest of the souls and began to wander the Soul Society until they found their next purpose in life. The Shinigami offered something to both of them, him a way to fight and prove himself and her, the familiarity of higher society and reprieve from disparity, but also a since of greater purpose. The two joined the Shinigami Academy and eventually passed, using each other as a strong motivator to advance.
Zanpakuto: Owari no Subete, Uchūjin (End of All, Space Alien)
Self-described as the "Broken Lord", Uchūjin appears to be some sort of vapor possessing a suit of advanced armor supplemented by elaborately embroidered cloth. It is twice the size of Naoko with all of its armor on. Its voice is described as a echo and despite sounding low and intimating, Naoko believes that Uchūjin is quite gentle but seemingly sad and lonely.
Uchūjin's world is something that always reminded Naoko of the western castles on earth but with more gloom to it. Dark clouds blot out the sun and the only lights are the faint blue lanterns that glow in the buildings and the grand glowing pillar setting at the top of the castle. The design of the futuristic device emitting the light looks strangely out of place in this sort of medieval looking world.
Sealed, Uchūjin appears like an regular katana with the exception of a pommel that has an elaborately detailed carving of jeweled-eyed hawk. Unsealed, Uchūjin appears like something otherworldly. The material of the hilt, pommel, and guard are all made of metal with the hawk symbol reappearing. The blade has a slight curve emerging from a hawk's mouth. The metal composition of its pieces are considered an unknown alloy for all parts with the blade having the only unique property. The blade emits a strange cosmic-like vapor where many compare it to seeing the night sky when Naoko channels her Reiatsu to her Zanpakuto. The vapor appears to consume the blade as careful study showed that small sections of the blade would evaporate away. However, the vapor quickly dissipates and the blade regenerates. Naoko believes that even though she has not discovered the full potential of her Shikai, she may be close to a potential breakthrough.
Abilities: Her greatest strength is a near-adept level of skill with Kido with a stronger understanding of Bakudo over Hado. Her Kaido is right at the level that is expected of a seated officer of the 4th Division. Otherwise, Naoko is surprisingly quick witted, inventive, and clever which lends itself more often than what people give credit for. Fairly surprising Reiatsu levels and durability, too.
Weaknesses: The rest of Naoko's abilities leave a lot to be desired. Her Zanjutsu is maybe average at best but falls below average when considering the Shinigami in total. Her Hoho and by extension, Hakuda, talents are lacking with recorded academy performances that placed her in the lower 30% of class.

"Oh. Huh." Erika frowned, thinking that she should have studied Gible's moveset a bit better. Gibs on the other hand, flexed and put on some macho image as he stood triumphant. "Gib! Gib!" He tutted at the fainted Pikachu. "Oh! Gibs! Be nice!" Erika reprimanded her proud Pokemon before glancing around the forest to see if she could find another Pikachu. Thankfully, one was nearby.
"Alright Gibs! Let's try this again! Sand-Attack that Pikachu and charged forward and tackle it to the ground! We want to capture it so we can have an electric type, alright? Gibs flexed again before sweeping up some sand to cover his approach as he charged in and tried to tackle Pikachu to the ground.

It thankfully did not take as long as Erika had thought to find another Pikachu. Of course finding one that looked so natural and peaceful seemed to pull a bit at Erika's heart strings. "I'm sorry little Pikachu but hopefully we will be great friends and an even better team after this." Erika offered before finding a particular Pokeball of hers and throwing it, summoning Gibs to the field. "Gib! Gible!" The high-and-mighty Dragon Pokemon hollered as he was summoned.
"Alright Gibs, time to get another teammate! Sand-Attack, blind that Pikachu before charging in with Dragon Rage!" Erika commanded and obediently Gibs followed the command, digging up dirt and flinging it towards the Pikachu before growling and charging forward.
