Current No matter how subtle the wizard, a knife between the shoulder blades will seriously cramp his style.

Arguing over petty details at times of dimensional emergency was a familiar wizardly trait.

A wizard never had friends, at least not friends who were wizards. It needed a different word. Ah yes, that was it. Enemies. But a very different class of enemies. Gentlemen.

Ryū picked up the strawberry, holding it between thumb and forefinger as she observed it with a sceptical gaze. It felt firm but tender to her touch, and she notized her skin got smudged with red juice as she tried squeezing it a little. Not unlike blood. She had no taste for the sanguine substance, of course, preferring her food charred and hot, but it got her wondering if there was such a thing as a berry barbecue. No matter - there was a first for everything, and she supposed this strawberry could be her first step on the journey to discovering fruits and vegetables. Popping the small delight into her mouth, she bit down and was immediately shocked at the flavor. Sweet! Incredibly sweet! Almost too much so. Her human form seemed to enjoy the taste, salivating as she chewed the strawberry, but she was not used to it. None of her usual food tasted sweet. To an observer, Ryūs expression would've seemed bothered or concentrated, her brows locked in a frown as she ate the berry with slow and ponderous movements of her jaw. She swallowed it down in the end, unsure of what she thought about it. Had she hated it? No. But had she enjoyed it? Questionable.

Turning her attention back to Yumeiko, Ryū plopped down on the chair opposite her, leaning in over the table. The spirit fox had said something about patrons being able to pet her, which instantly got the dragon curious. What was a patron, and could she become one? She would have to explore the subject further. So, no hoards, then, she said, eyes locked with Yumeiko, But a... shrine? Like a temple? I had a temple once! Or, well, humans built a temple in my cave once. They did a lot of funky mumbo jumbo there, dressing in silly costumes like make-believe dragons while singing and dancing to strange chants. Maybe they thought dragons like that kind of stuff. Some of them came asking for stuff, trying to sweet talk me into helping them with their problems - mostly destroying their enemies or burning down some city or other. I mostly slept through it. Then one day I woke up while they were trying to attach a big steel collar to my neck. Very rude. So I ate some and turned the rest to ash. No more temple for them, heehee!~

She had gotten herself lost in her memory, staring into space while grinning madly. Seeing the spirit foxes expression, she quickly snapped out of it and tried getting back to the matter at hand. So, you guys get... patrons? she asked, What does a patron, like, do? How do people become patrons, and, she wet her lips as she came to the point, When do they get to touch the tails?
@CitrusArms She just wants to pet the nice fluffy fur! Just imagine the scene where Miyuki walks in on them just as Ryū sits happily greedily caressing Yumeikos tails, just the two of them alone in the sancity of the shrine XD "T-this isn't what it looks like!" "Heehee~ sooo soft!"

Ryū tilted her head to the side as Yumeiko spoke, catching about half of what she said while distracted by the fluffy ears and tails. If she could only get to touch them... She had always been fashinated with fur, and softness in general, seeing as it was so different from her own nature of hard scales and sharp teeth. Her true dragon form was incapable of enjoying such things, being made not to caress but to rend, and she had only recently started appreciating the perks of her human disguises abilities, albeit still disliking its weakness and small size. She understood, much to her disappointment, that the fox lady in front of her lacked the inherently playful qualities of the puppers she'd seen on TV, but... There was always hope!

A Kinky Seiwhatnow? she replied, stifling a giggle, Never heard of that before. So you're some kind of fox spirit. That's cool! She didn't know much about foxes, but gathered that, hopefully, they weren't much to different from doggos in the end. They certainly looked much alike, just a little fancier. Yeah, I'm a dragon! Rawr!~ she continued, A great red one, at that. The biggest, baddest, bestest kind! And I'm from all around, or, I've been all around. Can't remember where I hatched, it was very long ago and I can't recall much besides a big cave and piles of gold somewhere in the mountains. But back then, humans were still running around with iron suits and flailing swords and axes and stuff. They hid out in these big stone houses, trying to keep all that shiny gold and jewels away from us. Not that it helped them much, heehee~. There were more of us back then, at least out in the open. Don't know what happened to the others. Haven't seen my mother or any of the other hatchlings in forever. I raised myself when I got kicked out, as all dragons do. Got my own hoard, too!

Ryū sneaked a quick glance at the berries Yumeiko was eating. She'd never understood eating plants. They were just more colorful versions of grass or leaves, weren't they? But people seemed to like them well enough. One day she'd have to try one. She was going to have to fit in after all, if she wanted to rule this new human world. So, what's it like being a fox? she said, turning her unblinking gaze back to Yumeiko, What do you, like, do? Are you also keeping hoards? She fidgeted her hands a bit, trying a friendly grin. Do you, uh, like to play? she added, hoping against all hope, Or like, uh, getting scratched and petted?
@CitrusArms Looking to post tonight or tomorrow, trying to not keep you waiting!
@Lemons I think Ryū would've said "aren't we all, love?" if she'd actually paid attention to that part :)

Ryū pouted her lip when the dark doggo refused to play, looking after her longingly as she opted to leave the canteen. She'd seen it on TV all the time, this scratching behind the ear business, and had been looking forward to try it. Honestly, she couldn't figure out why the two of them hadn't come yapping right away, tongues lolling happily. The puppers on TV always did, and they seemed to like it so much! Aww~, she whined, Don't go, cutesie liddle pupperino! I just wanted to say hi! But her efforts were in vain - no soft ears or fluffy tails to stroke for poor Ryū.

Grumbling, she turned her attention to the lighter one, and instantly lit up again. For all her indignation, she had thrown the dragon a figurative bone in her quest to pet the puppers; she had given Ryū permission to approach. Giddy with excitement, she bounced over to the Kyuubi, a wild grin accompanying her wide eyes as she went. She stopped just inches short, her gaze locked on the foxs eyes. Her fingers itched with desire to ruffle the soft fur, but she reigned herself in, fingers clenching and unclenching at her sides. Hi~, she chirped, I'm Ryū. I'm a dragon! Haven't seen you here before. Who and what are you - she couldn't stop herself - aside from the cutest liddle pupper I've ever seen!?
@CitrusArms But they're so pwetty! :D

Ryū woke herself up with a loud snore. She sat straight up, startled at the loud offending noise, and looked around for any potential threat. Finding none, save for the surprised faces of the handful of patrons currently dining in the canteen, she calmed down somewhat and took in her surroundings proper. She had fallen asleep after eating, which shouldn't have come as a surprise as she usually napped after meals. The amounts of food she had to eat put a bit of strain on her magical disguise after all, evident in the bulge in her belly. Then there was the drool on her chin, of course. She wiped it off with the back of her hand, smacking her mouth. Had she been speaking with someone? Maybe. Oh well, couldn't have been the most stimulating of discussions if she'd nodded off while talking. But there, look, he was still around! She grinned at him half lidded, rubbing the sleep out of the corner of her eye. Ehe~, she giggled, Whoopsies. Fell asleep. You were saying?

But then she noticed two of the other patrons, sitting a bit further off. They had these pointy ears and big fluffy tails, looking all cute and stuff. Ryūs face lit up, her eyes snapping open to her usual unblinking predator gaze, and she pointed at them gleefully with a trembling finger. Look! she exclaimed, Puppers! Adorable little puppy-people! I didn't know we had those! Trying to make eye contact with the pair, she got up off her chair and leaned forward with a hand on her knees, trying to call them over with her finger. Come, come, pwetty liddle puppers! she cooed, her face locked in a wide toothy smile, Want a scwatch behind the eaw? Aww~, I could just eat you right up!
Hi all! Not gone, just busy with life. Looking to post tomorrow, maybe add a final entry to Ryūs hot sauce-saga before she buggers off to terrorize somebody else!
Max sprinting full-tilt down the hallway in the opposite direction like the final girl in a horror movie.

Where are you going, little humie-boy? Ryū chirps, skip jumping after him through the corridor, Quit being a kill joy and come PLAY!

Does Ryū have a fashion sense for sacred objects things uuuuh... Fashion sense for.. uh... Sanctity.

Not sure that Ryū has a fashion sense at all... But she likes valuable things. Likes piling them and, incidently, sitting on them!
