I got two options I'm toying with.

Only one of those has built-in abs. I think you know the right answer.
Potentially interested, buttt with the limited number of available characters I imagine the playerbase will be smaller than previous games. I'm also notoriously flaky and wouldn't want to horde one of said slots if I can't/don't post for an extended period. Will definitely keep on eye on this, though!

There are a metric shit ton of street level Marvel characters within NYC. More than people would think. While there may not be as many "big names" as typical games, there are still plenty of characters to choose from. And I don't just mean obscure Z-listers.

There's nothing inherently preventing the player base of this game from being the same as previous games. There's no limit to how many we accept.

And by limiting each player to just one PC, we are guaranteeing there's plenty of characters to go around for all.

Hey look guys it's Batman

Saying "look" under the GIF of a blind man is some heinous shit.

Might pick my STAKE sheet back up and carry on, depending on what's allowed within the parameters of the game. Otherwise I'll have a think around characters that fit the scope. But no guarantee.

Remind me the details of that and I can let you know if it would be kosher or not.
Just to clarify, while people can obviously use NPCs to their heart's desires in their posts, any apps should be solo characters. With the limited nature of a street level only game, allowing for duos and groups to be applied for entirely will severely impact options. But, again, those other characters can be NPCs instead.
I know some people are quietly plotting away in the background, lurking the thread as they conceptualize characters, but it would be a great help for the three GMs if we knew specifically how many people were interested.

So lurkers...
Here's some cookies to entice you out of the shadows.

In general, the X-Men are very much not street level.
Fraction Hawkeye? Ludicrous, there's totally nothing street level about that run ...

In all seriousness, so long as you weren't trying to have Hawkeye do Avengers stuff on the side, I would personally consider that to be in line with what we're going for. I imagine Hound and Andy wouldn't be opposed either.
Nope. You don't have to wait. If you happen to app an Eddie Brock before there's a Peter Parker, the only thing that matters is if your app meets the qualities we're looking for.

What I'm saying is, if there is already a Peter Parker, a Miles Morales, a Cindy Moon, and then someone apps an Eddie Brock, it'll be much more difficult for that Eddie Brock app to be accepted at that point out of oversaturation concerns. That doesn't mean you need to wait to see what's around first. Like I said, this isn't a fresh world so there's plenty of room for legacies to be around without parent characters.

That being said, I would be shocked if a Spider-Man app wasn't submitted within ten hours of an OOC going up.
So, we know that Spider-properties are going to be the most coveted. It's something we considered and, while we don't want this to have the "Gotham" problem of everyone being from the same franchise, we're also not saying there can only be one Spider swinging around. This RP also isn't a "fresh" setting, so there can be experienced heroes and legacy characters around.

Which means, yes, Eddie Brock/Venom is fair game in a vacuum. If, for instance, we already had a handful of Spider-characters accepted, though, and then we received an app for another, we would be much less inclined at that point.

Does that make sense?

Also, should probably clarify, Hound, Andy, and I are all running this shindig, so any of us can answer questions you may have.
