I like it! Good development potential. Also, she's cute!

Heidi either didn't see her classmates argue, or didn't have enough context for what she did see. That said, she saw Uná keep Draka and Cleo in here, and Cleo, with her back to Heidi, was arguing back. She took her eyes off them and watched Drake. He was against the wall and muttering. But when Ronnie started talking, Heidi focused on her.

"If you don't want to get pulled into something crazy, just accept what we've told you. That was basically what happened and I'm not sure I want to share any more. If I delve deeper, then you really will be involved. You might think you are now, but trust me, there are some things that happened that night that even I don't know. There are some things I know that nobody else does. And those are our problems. You can still walk away, metaphorically. If you don't want monsters or adventure, you probably should. Just drop last night and focus on the classes, honing your powers and mastering them. Because that's the only way you'll be able to control them and pass for as normal as you're going to get.

Because the past is gone. You're never going to get that back. You're a mutant now. All you can shape from here is your future."
As this is getting so popular, I'm going to limit it to one character per person for now. Anyway, the OOC probably won't be up for a couple of days as I have to write and format it, and also finalise a name for the school and the canon.

I'll stop anyone from getting too bored until then by providing the CS skeleton.

Wow, this sure exploded while I was asleep! Nevermind CS and Discord, I should start on the OOC lol

@ShwiggityShwah These all sound good but there will probably be a two character limit, I'm afraid.

@Zuko No deal, but that being said any ideas for the tagline will be welcome. Names for the school, as well, actually. And that goes for everyone.

@liferusher@Conscripts@Ryonara And good to see you three here!
Yuh

The Co-GM has arrived!
Interested.

Glad to hear it!

You know I gotta be here.

Ayyyy! Good to see you here!

I’m interested. It’ll be nice to finally give Dulga some action again.

Yup. I'm looking forward to seeing that too.

I have an idea for a wind based hero I may be able to get out. Nothing too special just a guy who make big wind blasts he can't fly or anything quite yet.

'Nothing too special' is perfect for this rp. And scale for significant improvement is never a bad thing.
The premise is this: You're a student at Hero Academy...or rather what used to be a Hero Academy. Over the past ten years, its found itself struggling to stay relevant. Agencies and sponsors lost interest after several years of its graduates not being proper hero material mentally. It tried to recover but the damage was done. It lost most of its funding. It lost the training facilities. It lost the on-site dormitories. It started to offer more and more non-hero classes to break even, until over half the student body suddenly weren't even trying to become heroes. It's practically a regular high school now. A regular high school with Hero classes.

Last year, the previous Hero class teacher, an old z-list Hero, has finally retired. Every hero is either too famous to take this job, or too busy trying to climb the ranks. Statistically, this school's Hero class mostly produces Emergency Services and Law Enforcement. It's not the place to go if you were a past-his-peak Pro-Hero looking to make a difference to the next generation. But there was one applicant with the relevant experience in the world of Superheroism; Ms. Akane Mako. AKA Madame Obsidian, the famous thief and Supervillain who's reign of infamy lasted close to a year before she got caught. Fresh out of prison, and looking to go straight, she was given the role. She will be your Hero Class teacher this year.

You're a first year at this school. Whether you're here because you didn't quite have the power or skill to make it elsewhere, or you had too much of a vigilante mindset and are looking for somewhere more relaxed . or you're just a local, this is your high school and you were curious, you are part of the Hero Class. If you have grand dreams of fame and acclaim, or you want to be the Number 1 Hero some day, you've started with the king of all disadvantages.

So yeah, that's the idea I have. Let me know if you're interested/have any ideas of your own for the world or story!

I'll add a character sheet and create a Discord Server once we have some interest. Looking forward to doing this!

Heidi had her suspicions. She had counted it as one of the possibilities that they weren't called here to clean. While it did make sense to deal out punishment, there was something about the announcement's mention of a 'new group of X-men' that made Heidi wonder if the punishment was a ruse to get everyone who had been involved in last night's events to the Danger Room. That is the reason why she had decided to insist Cleo and Veronica come here instead of humoring Cleo's plan to skip the punishment. There was a risk they would miss something important.

She watched intently as Ashford gave his address. She didn't need to wonder why she was here. This was, at the end of the day, still a school. Heidi was here to learn. Not just from the classes and the exercises, but from observing the school itself. And from the other students around her. Everything she had seen only bolstered her own beliefs. This was the level of control, comfort and happiness Mutantkind can achieve where there is space to experiment, and teachers to guide them in the use of their powers. They are kept safe from enemies and everyone around them knows what they're going through. Every mutant needed these things for a healthy, happy life, as much as every human needed education and a social circle.

Before she knew it, the address was over and the professors had left them to their own devices. Drake's outburst went entirely unnoticed by her, as she was standing in front of him so didn't hear or see any kind of scream. The first she noticed of her classmates besides Aya going to the professors to talk about something, was Ronnie, who was standing besides her, turning to look back at something. Heidi also turned back in time to see him muttering something about killing a spider with fire. Heidi saw no scorch marks, ash, or other residue at his feet, so he was lying about that. So why had Ronnie turned round? He must have suddenly made a loud noise of some kind, and was trying to play it off.

Heidi turned back to Ronnie when she spoke.

"I'm not even sure what just happened, but I haven't been here very long and nothing's seemed that out of the ordinary today. In fact, we were called here because something very unsettling and unusual did happen last night, and you're lucky you weren't there."
