There is a lot to be said about merchants, traders, and anyone rising above even the middle class among the citizens of Kindeance. Views are mixed on the former nobility and nobility adjacent since the Kindeance-Meche crisis, and even in the few years since its resolution, tensions were still high. Peace was restored, but a lot of work still had to be done to mend the gap between the citizens, the monarchy, and the elite.
One aspiring family, known as the Yorks, were known for there less than ethical dealings when it came to trade. Based in Hdur, which alone had a mixed reputation towards criminal activity, the York family was not entirely free from the label. On the surface, they appeared opportunistic, reaching out into as many business possibilities they could to expand. The head of the family, Thomas York, was a successful spice trader in his own right. There was no denying the skill and finesse he employed building his trade and reputation. But at the same time, the more influence he got, the more brazen his business deals. He even managed to secure an audience with King Fredricus during the aftermath of the Black Serpent Guild controversy within the kingdom’s very walls. That is to say, the York family thought highly of themselves.
His children, on the other hand, were more accustomed to intermingling with the struggling folk. Wanting to make a difference, the oldest son, Gepard, joined the Kindeance military. The oldest daughter went into civil engineering. And then there was Linceleste, the youngest. She was the York’s family’s attempt to keep an heir in the family business. To that end, she was spoiled more so than her siblings. They let her pursue whatever she wanted with the promise of either continuing the trade, or promoting their wares.
Linceleste, going by Lynx, explored several avenues of interest. She inherited Adela’s, Lynx’s mother, affinity towards magic, specializing in in arcane cold and ice. She was made to attend a prestigious magic academy. She was also allowed the basement of their Hdur estate to become her own workshop of sorts. This worked out towards the York’s interests as some of the things she invented became wares in which the York family profited. By the time Lynx turned grew to an age where she could start learning more about the business, she agreed to take over once the time came. Until then, her interests and learnings were still being used by the family to further the business reach.
Then the invitation arrived. Perhaps as a means of securing supplies, the York family saw it as an opportunity to expand even further beyond the borders of Kindeance. With Gepard and the elder sister away from home with their own endeavors, they turned to Lynx. It was fortunate because Lynx also saw it as an opportunity to provide real help to those in need, and those missing. In the eyes of Thomas and Adela, it was a chance to bring in more profits into the business, and to increase their reputation into good standing. To Lynx, it was a chance to do genuine good. It was a win win in everyone’s eyes. Lynx packed her bag, and strapped her equipment, ready for adventure. Her first real one that didn’t involve sneaking out of the house to camp under the stars. This was something she could do that she felt had more meaning than transactions or schooling.

Cryo Spider Drone
Can summon one drone to assist her in combat. It is size of an adult dog and it has an appearance of spider and made out hardened ice which is reasonably durable and has more damage capability. The drone can shot ice bolt like a crossbow up to five bolts in reserved and must be manually be reloaded by her spell.
Ice/Fire Grenade
Creates an orb like ice or fire bombs and throws it into the target area. Its blast radius is similar to an incendiary grenade that is likely two to three meters maximum. Cost 3% of her mana per grenade, it takes 1 turn to materialize, and it is a channeling spell.
(She have a starting four bombs, two each of ice and fire bombs before the battle.)
Preservation
The next fatal attack directed at her would trigger Preservation, encasing her on ice, and heal her to full HP, at the rate of 5% HP per turn. It has a cooldown of three days and it has no mana cost.
A.M.P
Construct a stationary cannon that can turn and elevate enough for an aerial threats. The long range cannon fires a wide spread lighting type burst damage that also creates an anti magic field that last for two turns. Constructing the cannon is the channeling phase and it cost of 5% of mana pool and it takes 1 turn to complete, can be interrupt by inflicting reasonable damage to her which the progressing construction make the cannon collapse.
