Vivian and Sylvia patiently let the curious white creature touch them; most of their plant parts, especially flat parts like the leaves and petals didn't feel pain and regenerated quickly enough, like hair, and it wasn't like the creature was stabbing their flesh or pulling out their roots, so it was fine.

"Ada, you say?" Sylvia replied to the harpies. The way they treated Ada brought up some unsettling questions about the limits of sentience, humanity, and if it was okay to treat someone like a pet, and if the way people treated babies and children was no different, but it was best not to dwell on such topics. But what was most surprising to Sylvia was that she assumed that all monster races were known, barring prehistoric behemoths like the kaiju, but Ada was clearly no kaiju, and rather than being ancient, it almost seemed as if Ada was new life. She had never heard of completely new creatures appearing out of nowhere, which could only leave Sylvia to wonder at Ada's origins.

Then Bart returned and congratulated John on his good work patching up the hole in the wall and requested the sisters to prepare dinner. "Sure thing, boss!" Vivian said enthusiastically as the pair headed to the kitchen, only to be accompanied by a blond fighter, possibly a woman monk. "Greetings! Yang, right? Ozzy's umm...sensei? I'm Vivian, and I'm Sylvia," the liliraune returned the greeting. "I'd welcome the help, honestly, my forte is baking, so I could make a lasagna and a casserole, maybe some fresh bread if people are willing to wait a bit, but not much else."

But if she was a monk, Sylvia wondered if she had any dietary restrictions, like not eating meat or something, which was somewhat absurd to Sylvia, since she was by nature, a carnivorous plant, and the thought of eating plants exclusively for 'moral' reasons seemed to ignore the fact that feeling, sentient plants exist. Or maybe it had something to do with not eating your own kind, like cannibalism. Sylvia decided not to bring it up unless Yang did.

The kitchen was fortunately pretty well stocked up since one of the sisters' chores today had been to head into town for supplies.

Hey, sorry for missing this post. But I think I'm gonna drop. I've been too distracted to give this RP the attention it deserves.

Maybe Din decides to retire in Lumbridge. Maybe she sees someone she actually knows and stays with them, or just wants to hang out with Menat and live a civilian life, taking care of Linkle's cuccos until she returns. She could relinquish her Storm Eagle spirit to Peach to give to anyone who wants it, and might teleport back to the castle to give the keyblade back to the Master of masters, if that's even possible. Or if anyone really likes Din, feel free to adopt her. Obviously she's not an original character so I don't mind if anyone 'steals' her.

Anyways, sorry for dropping. It's been a fun ride, and you're one of the most dedicated and consistent GM's I've met, and the rest of y'all are great, drama-free fellow players. I won't unsubscribe from this thread just yet in case anyone needs me to help wrap up any loose ends.

Secret Origin

A thorn in the side of Wakanda and the Black Panther, Ulysses Klaue, AKA Klaw, was one of the few outsiders who knew about Wakanda before the hyper-advanced African nation revealed itself to the world. A physicist turned villain turned being made of solid sound, obsessed with using vibranium to make sonic super weapons, Klaw has snuck in and out of Wakanda on more than one occasion to steal the precious metal. On one such occasion, he concealed his identity and seduced a woman, Kumbane Nyenje, to provide him with lodging while he schemed. Tricked by the fake sob story that was Klaw's front, the compassionate Kumbane developed feelings for the villain, and Klaw just went along with it to keep up the charade. Klaw's schemes, as per usual, were exposed and resulted in a major conflict between him and the Black Panther, leaving Kumbane heartbroken and secretly pregnant with Klaw's child.

Nzige was born, the half-human child of a sound elemental. The maternity ward was filled with the distorted sounds of Wakandan lullabies that Kumbane had sung to her belly during her pregnancy. This incident was reported to the Wakandan authorities who monitored the child, but gave Nzige the opportunity to grow up as any superpowered child would. Even though she was the daughter of a supervillain, Wakanda knew better than to stigmatize her and create a self-fulfilling prophecy. Still, the people who understood her powers better than anyone besides Klaw himself were the people who fought Klaw: the Black Panther and his close support network, ie. the royal family of Wakanda. The most scientifically adept among them, princess Shuri saw immediately that rather than solid sound projections like Klaw, Nzige's powers involved the mathematical wave properties of sound, and that Nzige would not master or control her powers without a firm knowledge of high-level math and physics. Fortunately, Shuri was already tasked with tutoring Amalia, Tony Stark's daughter, and could easily take on another pupil. besides, Shuri saw Nzige becoming close to the daughter of an Avenger as a positive influence to hopefully counteract any potential tendency towards villainy she may have inherited from her father. Seeking purpose and a resolution to her heritage, it stands to reason that Nzige would strive to become a superhero, and applied to Mobius alongside her freind and fellow pupil, Amalia.

She can dowse for a stiff material's harmonic frequency by either touching the object, touching the object indirectly by tapping it with something, or by pinging it with test frequencies. Her friend Amalia has prototyped a group of small, locust-like piezoelectric drones that Nzige can place in locations of acoustic significance relative to her own position, allowing her to harmonize in a large area and take advantage of cymatics. She also owns a meter-long vibranium rod with a triangular cross-section which she lovingly refers to as her 'cricket bat', that she uses as a tuning fork/bludgeon to channel harmonic frequencies with.

Taihou enjoys IP merchandise from his favorite genres and loves displaying said merch whenever given the opportunity. His aesthetic resembles that of a middle school fanboy for all things shounen. The only thing he really lacks is video game merchandise because his hands are not conducive to playing games, so he never really got into them.

Distinguishing Features:

Taihou is somewhat short for his age. He has short, straight, red hair, and guarded, red eyes. Long antennae sprout from the top of his head, while his skin is covered in patches of rust-red chitinous shell. Instead of hands, his arms end in pincers, with his left being larger and bulkier than his right. A large, lobster-like tail protrudes from his lower back.

Shy and introverted, Taihou is an otaku who likes nerdy, boyish things, like Super Sentai, Ultraman, Godzilla movies, Cantonese Kung Fu movies, and giant mecha anime. He has poor self-awareness and loses himself to excitement when it comes to his hobbies or when doing 'heroic' deeds. This makes him appear to switch between an 'outgoing' side and a 'shrinking violet' side. Growing up in a world where his appearance has been ridiculed as 'monstrous', Taihou has attempted to close himself off from the ostracization by embracing isolation. Yet his spirit continues to burn with fiery heroism. In a field dominated by exemplars of the human form, Taihou seeks to prove that even Saturday morning cartoon monsters can be heroes.

Secret Origin

Taihou was born to parents of Japanese descent living in San Francisco. Though the father, Ebisugawa Saizen was of distant Inhuman descent, life was pretty normal for the small Asian family. Still, Saizen and his wife, Mizuko, kept their eyes peeled for news of terrigen release, as Saizen had learned of his lineage when a cousin had accidentally been exposed and acquired powers. When they caught wind that some terrigen had been released over the ocean somewhere, they temporarily swore off seafood until the proper authorities could confirm that all contamination had been accounted for. Unfortunately, Taihou, who was only ten at the time, went on a field trip with his fifth grade class to the aquarium. And even though his teachers and chaperones had notes to keep him away from seafood, during lunch, a friend of his who didn't like shrimp, traded his meal for Taihou's. The effect of the terrigen-infused shrimp had an immediate effect, and Taihou was rushed to the hospital, where proper medical staff could at least made sure he survived his transformation. In an ironically coincidental twist of fate, Taihou's Inhuman metamorphosis gave him shrimp limbs. The next few years of his life involved rehabilitation as his lack of human hands handicapped him severely, though his family and school tried to be as accomodating as possible.

Because of his unique hands, his mother kept him away from house chores, so his father taught him to participate in handyman hobbies, where his destructive, 'fat fingers' were less of an issue. Through this he was able to develop passable levels of manual dexterity, though he needs to resort to wearing special rubber gloves that provide him with some form of grip in order to deal with various everyday objects.

After the initial shock and the hospital stay, young Taihou thought it was kind of cool, and began to wonder if he could be like Spider-Man someday, after all, Spider-Man's powers just made him more spider-like, while his own transformation made him more shrimp-like, and both creatures were arthropods. Dreams of becoming a hero began to fill his mind, and he hadn't really considered the social stigma that still existed against those who didn't outwardly appear human. Things came to a head during a class in which all the students took turns standing in front of the class and read aloud their essay on what they wanted to be when they grew up. Taihou announced loudly and proudly that he was going to be a hero, like the ones from TV shows and cartoons, like Spider-Man. The other students jeered, calling him Baltan-seijin, and that he would never be a hero. He ran home in tears and binge-watched his favorite shows, realizing the sheer number of clawed, arthropod-like aliens, and that to the rest of the world, he looked just like these monsters. Though his parents tried to encourage him, he closed himself off from his peers, allowing the hurled insults to roll off his shoulder. Over time, with no friends and no after-school activities, Taihou began spending more and more time at home, going to school only for his mandatory studies.

To keep him engaged, his father started encouraging him to try various feats with his quirk, filming him, and posting videos online, resulting in playlists like the "Hydraulic Pinch Channel" and "Shrimp Tail Parkour", in which Taihou pushes the limits on what he can crush with his claws and using his massive tail to aid in ridiculous jumping feats. Online, things that were not socially acceptable found their niche, and behind the barrier of the internet, Taihou was allowed to be himself, reviving his hope in one day pursuing his dream. So he began applying himself so that one day he could apply to the best hero school. He knew that people who looked like him didn't have to monsters or villains.

He also has a secret technique: his left claw is evolved to produce a high-powered 'snap' that shoots forth a destructive sonic bullet. (Think MIB's Noisy Cricket on steroids)

He has to use spoons and forks like a barbarian instead of the more culturally refined chopsticks that his parents eat with.

Eating Habits:

Taihou was taught from a young age that heroes were not picky about their food and always ate their vegetables so they could grow up to be strong, so Taihou has always had a fairly healthy and nutritious diet. He isn't a health nut, and does like his occasional snack or junk food, but he never loses self-control, or let his cravings consume him. His one weakness is sour foods, while he is fine with a dash of vinegar or lemon and lime added for flavor, excessively sour foods is not something he can handle. Seafood of any sort is his favorite.

Hygiene Habits:

Taihou was taught from a young age that heroes required self-discipline. Due to his clumsy fingers, acts of personal hygiene, like tooth brushing and applying soap when washing, were difficult. But his parents taught him to push through and overcome the difficulty in order to develop self-discipline. So Taihou now has very regimented self-care routines. He's not afraid of getting dirty, because he knows he'll clean himself up, but messy behavior, like dropping crumbs on the floor, is one of his pet peeves.

Being half-human, half sound elemental, Nzige is slightly more frail than the normal human, and due to vibranium's ability to absorb vibrations, the metal is dangerous if it enters her body.

Eating Habits:

Nzige prefers food with beans and rice with strong flavors. She eats slowly and meticulously, and always cleans her plate, so if being served, she has a tendency to overeat or undereat depending on how much she has been given. She has a hard time sharing food, either giving or receiving, as she prefers each persons meals to be compartmentalized and personal.

Climbing onto the back of her Gogoat, Din rode rode across the ice, relying on her steed's nimble steps, to reunite with her group, dismounting to do a little dance to heal what remained of their injuries, though Linkle had handled the most serious one, which was Gran's. The pair of clowns looked like Hyruleans, as Linkle noted, and seemed to be offering some transportation service, but since they were not familiar with the world, it was hard to name a destination, but Din would keep them in mind in case they needed to travel somewhere very far away at some point. Meanwhile she tried to help Phoenix find his missing footwear.

During the ride back to Lumbridge, Din made sure that they were on the right path back, though she recalled they still needed to hunt a baurun and a chocobo. Moving her Gogoat closer to the Witcher and his steed, she asked, "You seem like an accomplished Hunter. You have any idea what a baurun is?"

Fashion Sense:

Taihou tends to dress very casually when not in uniform, most of the time sporting sweatpants and some t-shirt with a weird design or mascot character. He also wears black rubber claw-gloves with bumps and various attachments for interacting with everyday human objects, lovingly made by his father. Taihou enjoys IP merchandise from his favorite genres and loves displaying said merch whenever given the opportunity. His aesthetic resembles that of a middle school fanboy for all things shounen. The only thing he really lacks is video game merchandise because his hands are not conducive to playing games, so he never really got into them.

Distinguishing Features:

Taihou is somewhat short for his age. He has short, straight, red hair, and guarded, red eyes. Long antennae sprout from the top of his head, while his skin is covered in patches of rust-red chitinous shell. Instead of hands, his arms end in pincers, with his left being larger and bulkier than his right. A large, lobster-like tail protrudes from his lower back.

Personality Traits

Shy and introverted, Taihou is an otaku who likes nerdy, boyish things, like Super Sentai, Ultraman, Godzilla movies, Cantonese Kung Fu movies, and giant mecha anime. He has poor self-awareness and loses himself to excitement when it comes to his hobbies or when doing 'heroic' deeds. This makes him appear to switch between an 'outgoing' side and a 'shrinking violet' side. Growing up in a world where his appearance has been ridiculed as 'monstrous', Taihou has attempted to close himself off from the ostracization by embracing isolation. Yet his spirit continues to burn with fiery heroism. In a field dominated by exemplars of the human form, Taihou seeks to prove that even Saturday morning cartoon monsters can be heroes.

Secret Origin

Taihou was born to parents of Japanese descent living in San Francisco. Though the father, Ebisugawa Saizen was of distant Inhuman descent, life was pretty normal for the small Asian family. Still, Saizen and his wife, Mizuko, kept their eyes peeled for news of terrigen release, as Saizen had learned of his lineage when a cousin had accidentally been exposed and acquired powers. When they caught wind that some terrigen had been released over the ocean somewhere, they temporarily swore off seafood until the proper authorities could confirm that all contamination had been accounted for. Unfortunately, Taihou, who was only ten at the time, went on a field trip with his fifth grade class to the aquarium. And even though his teachers and chaperones had notes to keep him away from seafood, during lunch, a friend of his who didn't like shrimp, traded his meal for Taihou's. The effect of the terrigen-infused shrimp had an immediate effect, and Taihou was rushed to the hospital, where proper medical staff could at least made sure he survived his transformation. In an ironically coincidental twist of fate, Taihou's Inhuman metamorphosis gave him shrimp limbs. The next few years of his life involved rehabilitation as his lack of human hands handicapped him severely, though his family and school tried to be as accomodating as possible.

Because of his unique hands, his mother kept him away from house chores, so his father taught him to participate in handyman hobbies, where his destructive, 'fat fingers' were less of an issue. Through this he was able to develop passable levels of manual dexterity, though he needs to resort to wearing special rubber gloves that provide him with some form of grip in order to deal with various everyday objects.

After the initial shock and the hospital stay, young Taihou thought it was kind of cool, and began to wonder if he could be like Spider-Man someday, after all, Spider-Man's powers just made him more spider-like, while his own transformation made him more shrimp-like, and both creatures were arthropods. Dreams of becoming a hero began to fill his mind, and he hadn't really considered the social stigma that still existed against those who didn't outwardly appear human. Things came to a head during a class in which all the students took turns standing in front of the class and read aloud their essay on what they wanted to be when they grew up. Taihou announced loudly and proudly that he was going to be a hero, like the ones from TV shows and cartoons, like Spider-Man. The other students jeered, calling him Baltan-seijin, and that he would never be a hero. He ran home in tears and binge-watched his favorite shows, realizing the sheer number of clawed, arthropod-like aliens, and that to the rest of the world, he looked just like these monsters. Though his parents tried to encourage him, he closed himself off from his peers, allowing the hurled insults to roll off his shoulder. Over time, with no friends and no after-school activities, Taihou began spending more and more time at home, going to school only for his mandatory studies.

To keep him engaged, his father started encouraging him to try various feats with his quirk, filming him, and posting videos online, resulting in playlists like the "Hydraulic Pinch Channel" and "Shrimp Tail Parkour", in which Taihou pushes the limits on what he can crush with his claws and using his massive tail to aid in ridiculous jumping feats. Online, things that were not socially acceptable found their niche, and behind the barrier of the internet, Taihou was allowed to be himself, reviving his hope in one day pursuing his dream. So he began applying himself so that one day he could apply to the best hero school. He knew that people who looked like him didn't have to monsters or villains.

He can breathe underwater, plates of red shell pepper his skin, providing some protection, and overall, He has the proportional strength and endurance of a human-sized shrimp. Long antennae sprout from the top of his head, are sensitive to smell and touch, and aid his otherwise clumsy fingers. He also has a secret technique: his left claw is evolved to produce a high-powered 'snap' that shoots forth a destructive sonic bullet. (Think MIB's Noisy Cricket on steroids)

Of particular note is Taihou's extreme lack of manual dexterity, as he has pincers instead of hands. He has special gloves and other handicap equipment for dealing with everyday objects like doorknobs, eating utensils, computer keyboards, and his cell phone. He has to use spoons and forks like a barbarian instead of the more culturally refined chopsticks that his parents eat with.

Eating Habits:

Taihou was taught from a young age that heroes were not picky about their food and always ate their vegetables so they could grow up to be strong, so Taihou has always had a fairly healthy and nutritious diet. He isn't a health nut, and does like his occasional snack or junk food, but he never loses self-control, or let his cravings consume him. His one weakness is sour foods, while he is fine with a dash of vinegar or lemon and lime added for flavor, excessively sour foods is not something he can handle. Seafood of any sort is his favorite.

Hygiene Habits:

Taihou was taught from a young age that heroes required self-discipline. Due to his clumsy fingers, acts of personal hygiene, like tooth brushing and applying soap when washing, were difficult. But his parents taught him to push through and overcome the difficulty in order to develop self-discipline. So Taihou now has very regimented self-care routines. He's not afraid of getting dirty, because he knows he'll clean himself up, but messy behavior, like dropping crumbs on the floor, is one of his pet peeves.
