Well, we'll just have to try to handle things better in the future, on both ends then. If you wish to discuss this futher, @Remram, feel free to send me a PM, but otherwise, I feel that this discussion won't really go anywhere or really solve anything. What's done is done, let's just try and move on to more pleasant and fun things.

Like the neurotic farmer girl having a cool new pet. And Macintosh teaching little girls how to be graverobbers pillagers adventurers... *cough*

Might alos want to remind everyone; Unless your chaeracter had a big ol' hearty breakfast before coming to the town, or had lunch/a snack just before arriving, you might be getting a bit peckish at this point - as it's now around 4:00 PM, whereas previously it was around 10~11 AM.

EDIT:

@Rune_Alchemist
Also, Ms. Clucky is a stupidly cute nickname. I highly approve.
@Remram
I understand people being busy and having lives outside of the forum. I even mentioned this both in my previous post - and several ones I've made before that one - as well as the first post of this OOC; under the rules hider. I also explicitly stated that you're under no obligation to tell me what's going in your lives - I have noything to do with taht and have neither right or reason to, unless you yourselves tell me about it. However, I genuinely don't believe, for a single second, that people are so busy that they can't log on for 2 minutes of a 24 hour day, 16 if you account for 8 hours of sleep a day, in 7 days of a week, to post a simple:

"I'm gonna be late on posting this week."

That's all I want. That's all I need. I'm not psychic, as @ERode mentioned. If you don't tell me anything, I'm going to have to assume or gues, and going by past experiences of doing this hobby for over two decades, my experience tells me that people:

A) Have lost interest and aren't paying attention anymore.

B) Are being lazy.

Again, you never need to tell me why or give a reason or feel like yuu need to explain yourselves to me - unless you want to. I get it, RL stuff happens. It happens to me too. It has happened to me in this very RP at least twice. But I try to at least mention and kee you people posted and notified when it does.

If you're waiting on another person to post before you do, let me know that too. Because otherwise, again as ERode says, as a GM, I can only sit and stare at my OOC and IC and frown while thinking: Welp, guess everyone got sick of it.

And yes, if you're travelling abroad or visitng releatives who live out in the sticks and don't have access to the internet, I get it. You can't do this then. But hey, look at that! You informed me, ahead of time, that you're going to be away. And now I know.

Clarification: I'm not angry or upset with anyone, and I'm not trying to chide or chastise you or yell at you. I'm asking that, in the future, please try and do this so that I know, and so that I can move and operate the RP in accordance with that information. I honestly appreciate all of you taking the time to be a part of this roleplay and engaging in it, and I want to keep doing that, but when I don't know who is still around or when/if there'll be any response to anything, things can just stall out and hit a brick walll of never-ending "I'm waiting on him who's waiting on me"-scenario.
Due to the severe lack of posts this week, I won't be posting an update today. I'd also like to remind everyone that - apart from Rune-Alchemist who posted today (which is very last minute) - the rest of you haven't mentioned or stated any reason or notice about being late for this round. Which, of course, means that anyone who hasn't said anything and hasn't posted in the IC will get a warning

I've said it before and I've mentioned in the first post of the OOC; If you're busy with RL or personal matters, I'm more than happy to give you more time to post or hold off on advancing things, but you need to tell me about it. I get that sometimes we feel unmotivated, tired or like we don't wanna bother with things, but taking 2 minutes of one of your days from a whole week to log on and leave a message here or via PPM to isn't too much to ask I feel. You don't have to go into detail or justify why you need more time, just a note that you'll be late or something of that sort would do just fine.

I want to be a reasonable and fair GM who treats my players with basic understanding and patience. But taht can only happen if you talk to me. Whenever I have to make a post like this, I feel like I'm being a stingy, bitter old bastard who's cawing at people for being late and making them feel like I'm some heeartless, soulless machine, when that isn't the case or what I want to project at all. :(

So, in conclsuion, please, for both our sakes, don't feel like you can't ask for more time in the future if you need it. I guarantee I won't turn down a request to post later for whatever reason.
Don’t worry, the other nicknames will be worse. I promise.

... Is it Drucilla?
There, finally. Sorry for the wait.
If I missed having Miyuki respond to someone or something, please let me know. I've still got a splitting headache form lack of sleep, but I didn't want to hold the rest of uou up.
Miyuki no Suzuyami

Location: Umra Rose Condos, Bldg #1, Cafeteria
Time of Day: Late Evening
Relevant Cast: @CitrusArms Yumeiko, @Lemons Velvet, @Massasauga Rebecca, @Eviledd1984 Sam & Azir

And then, off they went... With a simple apology as if it were no big deal. The weird... Man-thing-creature who had knocked over the table and ground the curry even further into the floor, and his big, lumpy, brutihs-looking ... Friend(?), were now running out of the cafeteria, seemingly more interested in hunting these devillish little imps more than the possibly ramifications and consequences of their actions. Oh well... They'll get theirs....

Back to more important matters, like the complete lack fo yum-yium's in Miyuki's tum-tum, an opportunity had presented itself. The foul-smelling... Woman(?) has - for whatever divinely incomprehensible reason - offered to leave the condos, go out into the human world, purchase food with ther own funds and then bring it back adn deliver it to the fox-pair Such a rare display of altruistic and compassionate samaritan behavior... What was she playing at...? Everyone whod' been alive for any modest amount of time knew there was no such thing as a free meal, and yet, here this (stinky) person was, offering two complete strangers who she'd never talked to or even met before in her life, to go buy them dinner for no apparent reason. Straight out of the blue. Without asking for anything in return. Suspiscious.

Sadly, her blue-eyed (both figuratively and litteraly) better half had already jumped at the opportunity. Perhaps she was thinking that procuring a meal as soon as possible would queel the growing unrest within the black fox... Which wasn't untrue, but not exactly cautious or calculated iether. If there was one thing Miyuki knew from her interactions with humanity, it was that owing someone a favor could be quite troublesome. However, there were two very, very important facts to consider:

First; She was still very damned hungry.

Second; She didn't have a rotten cent to pay for her own, outside-world-food. Curse you, capitlaism, or whatever! It's your fault!

Thus, albeit she was hesitant, reluctant, wary and every fiber of her rational thinky logic-brain was screaming at her nto to accept this silver plattered devil's deal, her stomach out-shouted her sense of reason.

Yumi was curious if there was somewhere that could serve the food of their homlenad, but.... Honestly? At this point? After the day she'd had and the things she'd been forced to endure?

"... I would be fine with anything palatable at this point." Miyuki's voice was - as before - dry and monotone. It seemed she was still putting effort into not... Y'know, exploding and taking everything and everyone around her down with her potential meltdown. Admirable, for someone like her.

The neck-biting bimbo person had offered to go along with the foul-smelling one. Another attempt at placating the fox for the morning's misdeeds? Or perhaps she just enjoyed the smell of rank sewage and bloated corpse-dung...? Or, perhaps she was just looking for another snack... Whatever, as long as wasn't a part of Miyuki's vicinity for a good, long while, the kyuubi couldn't care less where the little runt went off to. The warning from the stanky lady about the cafeteria not being safe made the black-haired asian lady raise a quizzical eyebrow.

Oh heez, you THINK!? Thanks, I couldn't have figured that out myself.

Luckily, none of inner thoughts leaked out or showed on her face. Other than the aforementioned eyebrow. Which gave he rmore of a "Eh?"-look than anything.

"I shall... Return to our room, then. You have fun hunting though, Yumi." Miyuki said, her voice a bit less dry and less mechanical than before. "I'm not sure how... Gentle... I'd be able to handle our little miscreants before I eat." She added, eyes briefly flashing dangerously with the tingling threat of lightning.

She also gave Rebecca the floor and room - along with a polite but reserved thank you - number of the pair's dwelling. Just to be sure that the food got delivered where it needed to go, you understand. With that, the elder fox finally began to slowly make her way out of the cafeteria... Which now more resembled the aftermath of a middle school food-fight battlefield, than respectable establishment to quietly dine with refined table manners...

Springwood Forest -> Village

@Dragonydas, @Remram, @Zeroth

A captured slime inside a metal container proved to be not much of a challenge to keep securely locked away. After all, the thing didn't exactly have muscles to push with, nor did it seem all that aware of just what had happened and where it was. As far as the Forest Slime knew, night had fallen, and there was a mild earthquake and it had fallen into a strange hole, or something. Not that a slime could think in such detail, but it was an accurate enough estimation.

For those returning from the lumber-harvesting at the forest, they would find their return trip towards the village just as epic and eventful as their trip from it earlier. That is to say, not a single thing of interest other than their own chatter and conversation happened. But perhaps that was a welcome change of pace, after the thrilling and heart-pounding confrontatioin with their slimey new captive.

Southern Village -> Town Center

@ERode, @BunniesOfDoom, @Lupusintus

At the prospect of being given a shiny (?) new trinket by the older girl, Wilma broke out in a big ol' smile and her eyes sparkled like gemstones that had just caught the sun's rays. She cheered and yippie'd energetically, while the old man merely chuckled dryly at the small one's excitement.

"Well then, let's head on back."

Not much was said or needed to be said, some minor inquiries and childish questions from Wilma asking Big Sis MAc what she'd found, where she'd found it and how she'd found it. Other than that, Victor mostly asked more practical questions, like if she'd found anything edible, any signs of other people already living here here and where and which parts of the old ruined settlement that the treasure nhuntress had explored.

It didn't take long for the trio to return to heart of the village, where they were met by a now more organized and established Daryl and Sheryl, along with their busy-body elf lady and the foppish bard and his barrel o' empty.

South Farms

@Rune_Alchemist, @CitrusArms

Even clearing a small area was no small undertaking. Thankfully, the farm girl's familiarity and practiced hand at the art of agriculture would prove beneficial in getting things up and into shape, spick and span and all that jazz. However, even when you know what you're doing and how to do it, time still marches on, and with no way other than the sun in the sky itself to tell you how much time has passed, it's hard to say just how long the two ladies spent on getting their little plot of farmland ready.

But at the very least, the sun had moved enough across the celestial camopy to now be casting the shadows of things in a slightly different direction.

Center of Town

Time: Early Afternoon
NPCs: Daryl, Sheryl, Victor, Wilma
Players: Everyone who made it back to the town center.

"So, old timer. What'd you and the lil' missy find out after your walk?"
"Nothing much, really. We couldn't find any signs of other people still living here, and I couldn't really find any hints as to why."
"YOu... You think it might've been monsters? Or bandits...?"
"I doubt that. Monsters wouldn't bother clearing out the furniture of most buildings, and there aren't any bones or dried blood. Bandits, same deal. No signs of any fighting, and none of the buildings look forcefully entered."

The three new settlers were standing around the big, four-pointed star statue at the center of town, discussing their findings and musings with one another. At this point, Sheryl and Daryl had mostly gotten their wagon emptied out and their crates and containers properly categorized inside the stone brick building. Wilma, was happily inspecting the strange shuriken-like object with a sense of adventuruous wonder while her grandfather did the boring adult-talking.

"Well, we haven't really found anything out either. Mostly just unpacked and stored stuff away, so..."
"No worries there. I don't think we'd find much even if we all ponied up and searched around. Ths place looks... Like it was just abandoned, for whatever reason."
"Well, that isn't ominous at all...."
"Don't be such a worry-wart, it's fine! I'm here to keep you safe, honey!" Arm flex.
"... My hero..." Eye rolls.
"Hah, you love-birds were made for each other." Bemused chuckling.

After some fervent denial from the red-headed woman and some loud, undeniably ruckus agreement from the big man, the conversation continued.

"Still... I'm curious about this thing." Victor pointed at the suculpture his granddaguther was now attempting - and failing - to get up on. "I feel mlike I've seen it somewhere before, but I can't... Quite place it..."
"Memory starts going at your age, huh?"
"Daryl!"
"Sorry...
"Gramopy's old and forgets stuff!"
"Hey...! That's not a very nice thing to say about your granpa...!"

It seemed there was not but a bit of casual discussio and backhanded comments flying to and fro now. Perhaps soem of the other settlers had more to share, or things to bring up, or something to ask, declare or otherwise make heard? Or... Perhaps they were interested in getting ready for the approaching evening. Victor and Wilma still hadn't unloaded their cart, but it didn't seem like the old man was in any hurry to do so.

Thanks to a certain elf, the wooden longhouse had eben cleaned. OR well, at least made less dirty than it was before. And with the addition of Sheryl's blankets, the cots were now at least serviceable as a place to lay down and rest. The group who what brought back firewood may want to divvy it up amongst the residents, or keep it all to themselves. There was also the strange tome that the bard had found, and the bits and pieces of recorded history there-within.

So much could still be said and done, as time marched on.
Sorry, I'll get a post up soon. Not today though, due to lack of sleep and a busy day work.

The real queasiton is; Will the stank stick to the food?
10/02/2025:

Due to a sickly kitty who decided that the best time to throw up was at around 1:10 AM in the morning, then take a big stinky dump that befouled the air of most of the partment, coupled with a strangely hectic monday at work, I'll be post-poning today's post until tomorrow due to fatigue and mood.

Thank you, please wait warmly while girls are loading.
@Eviledd1984
I'm... Very confused... I'm sorry, I'm just having a very hard time following the series of events that just happened in your latest post.

I thought Sam already got up and left with Azir after he initially knocked over the table, and they were having dinner - not lunch... And I thought he was asking them for help in catching the gremlins he and Azir were chasing, not offering to help Miyuki and Yumeiko who aren't chasing any gremlins? And then all of a sudden they're in a hallway even though they were just inside the cafeteria and soemhow they're now inside the vents of the buildings because Sam used his powers...? I... I'm having trouble... Maybe I missed something or am misreading or misunderstanding? I'm just very uncertain of what just happened.
