@WilsonTurner
I just noticed you've got both the GPR21 and ATB140 equipped. The former requires two hands to use, as stated in the entry ("carried, two hands"). The rationale is the GRP21 packs a heavier punch than the AFC-40/L and needs to be braced with both arms for stability. The bazooka is propped up over the shoulder, so it only needs one hand at most.
So you'll have to decide between them or take the bazooka and the AFC-40/L.

Oh, can one not have a 'sling' of sorts or an equivalent?
For example, a 'clip' on his back and his leg, so that his bazooka can lock in on his back, and be pulled off and used when required, and his autcannon clipped to his leg, so that it too can be 'holstered' and used when available.

Oh, I guess that would make perfect sense; sure. I don't know why I didn't think of 'switching out' weapons before.

I'll look at getting up an IC again tomorrow due to circumstances.
Thank you for your patience.

Edit:
Actually I'll probably get to working on First draft between written and practical test tomorrow.
If it gives any results you'll probably see a more polished version of it not long after. I'll keep ya'll updated if I can. No promises.

I added my new transactions onto the bottom of my Character Sheet. The only thing I bought was the C3IS, as there wasn't really anything else I wanted. None of the other systems really fit my character concept.

I'm a tad disappointed there isn't a heavy cannon or something like that available to us yet.

Well I'm a tad disappointed that a buncha people are going with the C3. What's the use of a support guy who sees everything, and keeps everyone updated... if EVERYONE can see everything?
I mean, an LMG could wipe off the C3's exterior junk to negate its abilities, so using it in combat would be counterproductive, but still :/

I came up with my character concept as recon, and wrote it right into her back-story... I feel the same way. My 'speciality' isn't very special right now, as I'm not really packing anything that anybody else doesn't have. I guess it'll be more down to my tactics and role-play than my systems at this stage... and that's only if people pay attention to what I'm telling them. Same with your character too though, to some extent.

That said, as I mentioned before, I could envisage our characters working together - I go find the things, feed back to you where they are, and you pass the info on to everyone else and update the 'god's eye view' of the battlefield, painting a full picture between the pair of us. And then give me new areas to go ferret about in to keep the info updated.

For my role being more to do hit and run tactics I figured that most useful I got was with secondary recon so I can feed the data to the field commander as one would probably disengage with such tactics.
I could have taken the Armor upgrade but I was planning on being just that much more careful.
At a later date when we get more to choose from, maybe I can commit suicide by getting a melee weapon or get something along the lines of shotgun. I was tempted to go "artillery" with mortars but that just isn't fitting for what I see my character as. He'll probably get aggressive and up close once it ain't an open area with a dozen enemies but he'll keep changing. Maybe later I could even say he has shifted preference but that time ain't soon probably (Watch him getting wasted next mission)

The C3 is used to put all the data together, not to transmit it.

The C3 Imaging Unit receives everything that everyone in the unit is seeing, regardless of whether or not they have the C3, and then puts it together in the mech units that have the C3. You don't have to have the C3 to send the information.

It's like the thing that lets someone write a map. EVERYONE doesn't need to write a map- a couple people, maybe, but everyone else can, by default, yell out their shtuff and the one or three people that DO know how to write the map can do it.

If that's the case, then there isn't much point in me having it either, as I'd be more geared towards stuff that finds things, and then yelling that out to everyone else.

Eh. Yea. I suspect that'll go away as more specialized equipment comes out later on though. Why get a C3 when it prevents you from getting extra armor (for example, I know its a bad one). Also if you aren't in the thick of the action like most everyone else, even with the exact same equipment, your situational awareness will probably be better. So that's something to keep in mind.

Anywho... I just want something I can use as the FRAME version of a DMR.

Secondary benefit: Being able to relay ALL data between ALL similarly equipped (C3 upgraded) FRAMES much faster

edit:

Well, they can submit and share non-audiable map-plans without having to describe one rock different from another and hope the one guy with a map doesn't screw it up, which IRL came super-handy with M1A2 Abrams-crews when they realized their enemy was listening-in and somehow got a hold of their encryption-keys.
(OPFOR in a mil-ex is usually a dirty rotten cheating bastard by default)

Personally I'd just mount a big scope-mount, or a ground surveillance radar (active, detects motion, can potentially ID a target by how it moves), or a seismic detector (passive, same, requires everyone to stop moving).

Except in-combat mechs wouldn't be able to load reactive armor, and every shot, regardless if it penetrated, is going to start screwing up the C3. I don't think it'll take kindly to its electronics being shot off, nor the constant jamming about as its host mech gets hit.

That, and um...
I've been mentioning drones, remember?
Drones would be more effective than seismic detectors, radar, or scopes, it'll just fly around on its own and collect all needed information.

2nd try:

140 frame limit - 85 frame - 47 Armament/Extra = 8w reserve (82% of max capacity)
600k Starting balance - 221.59k Frame - 66.2k Armament/Extra = 312,210c

Odd Note: despite using weapons that did not exist in the original application, ending-balance was nearly identical.

My god forster, yourrr being uppurty as usual.

I'm being pestered to post in a few 1x1s and a tac-team RP at the moment
