Skills/Talents: - Motorcycle Driving: Have the ability to drive a motorcycle to a proficient manner. In addition to this, Janet also has a licence to drive such.
- Drums: Able to proficiently utilize the instrument “drums” to a proficient manner.
- Punching Things: Though not skilled in any form of martial arts, the strength behind Janet’s punches could be considered, considering her size, to be strong to a scary degree. To the extent one might consider Janet “as if an orangutan” rather than an woman when it comes to throwing a fist
- Natural Slacker: The ability to produce the bare minimum of required results in a means to obtaining the minimum amount of work required. A skill for lazy people, by lazy people.
Brief Backstory:Janet’s life was relatively simple, save for the whole "Meta-Human" thing. She went to school as any ordinary child did, and from a young age learned the importance of perception. The perception that others had of you the potential to shape you as a person. There was the “Janet Ciante” in her own mind, in her parents' minds, in the minds of her classmates and teachers. Every person who he bore a tie to had some sense of what he was, and none of them would be capable of matching up precisely. These different perceptions were what composed her as a person, her own ties to others formed his sense of self.
When Janet was very young, her family had been involved in a traffic accident resulting in both her biological parents’ death. Though Janet might regret the the fact her parents were murdered, it had happened before she was able to form memories so it was not as if she could consider them to truly be her “parents”.
Taken in by the Ciante family, whom of which were good friends to her parents, Janet began a rather normal life. Her foster parents were both kind and she has many fond memories of her life.
Taking with Janet her foster father’s obsession with rock ‘n roll music and love of motorcycles, George Ciante had taught her daughter as much knowledge he could regarding the two subjects. Janet’s fondest moments shared with her foster father was his teaching of maintenance of his motorcycle. Her foster father had died when she first entered high school, and though distraught and morning over the loss of a huge role model in her life, as many do she moved on. Even if the hole in her chest gave her pain she could hardly bear.
When Janet was 10 years old, she had learned she had a certain “gift”. However, she had always kept the knowledge secret from those around her. After all, Janet just wanted a normal life. One without hitch. Even if her parents had donated something odd to her, it would simply be irrelevant compared to keeping a low profile. She only tells those she trusts about her ability, as there seems to be a sentiment against these “freaks” held by many. However, by chance she seemed to have met two people with similar abilities, and considers these people her greatest allies.
Power Information
Power Class:Power
Power:Touch of Grey: This Meta-Human’s primary ability is to steal something from an object and take it for itself, as the whole is stronger than the sums of its parts. If the ability is a feature of someone else's, she is able to utilize it for herself given compatibility.
To initiate this ability Janet must currently be looking at the target and must also state what was stolen aloud. However, what is stolen must be a “part to a greater whole” rather than being able to rob any aspect of a "being".
Perhaps it would be better stated to be “Conceptual Removal” rather than the name “Touch of Grey”, but Janet’s enjoyment of rock music might have influenced her naming process of the ability.
Limits:Touch of Grey, though can rob someone of their aspects, is unable to rob something that is a “complete part”. Janet might be able to use the ability to rob the sweetness from a chocolate bar, she would be unable to steal the shape of the bar, or even the total sugar content, as that would constitute as the total rather than a part, and the ability cannot change the aspects of something in a physical sense. Other such feats include being able to remove the words from a sheet of paper in order to remove a name, being able to remove friction between objects in order to make them appear to "slide", or being able to remove the color from a shirt to turn a red shirt into one without color. She is unable to use her ability on humans, but anything else within her range is acceptable.
In addition, despite needing to see what she wishes to steal from, the ability’s maximum range is 15 meters from her point of vision. Thus, if someone was a greater distance away her ability cannot be used. Once visual is lost, the aspect stolen is once again infused into the thing it was taken from.
Weaknesses/Drawbacks:Since Touch of Grey is only able to remove a single instance of a “construct” away from only a single person, item, or thing at a time, so the time-true method of “ganging up” on her is both effective as it reduces her ability to effectively utilize Touch of Grey and allows for a numbers advantage to be held. In addition to this, abilities that can blind or distort images do not allow the user to effectively remove a part to the whole, thus limiting her combative effectiveness.
Relationships
Family:George Ciante [Father, Deceased]
Angela Ciante [Mother]
Dynamics:Basically your character's relationship with other characters.
{Raina Eavan O'Speedwagon} | {Impression (Goodl} | {Crush Friend)} | {Eh? Sis is someone I’d trust my life to. We might not be related by blood, but even so she is like an older sister to me. Even if she don’t want to admit it, I know she likes having me around. And paying for me since I’m broke. Still, I don’t think I’d aspire to be anything greater than a fool if it wasn’t for me wanting to keep up with her.} |
{Bobby “Bleu” Penn} | {Impression (Good} | {Relationship (Friends)} | {He’s an idiot, but he Bleu is my type of idiot. I guess you can say we have a lot in common then? Even so, I don’t think it would be possible to be bored with him if I tried. If I had to pick one person I would consider my best friend, besides my Sis, I’d say Bleu would be it.} |

- Owns a drumming set which she uses during her cover band’s performances.
- Tends to refer to herself as “Fruso” over the name Janet, as that was her biological family’s surname. She still respects her foster parent’s surname though, and would never use “Fruso” over it. So she decided to use it as a first name. Best of both worlds, no?
