Team Red- Your typical red camper fits perfectly with their color in the sense that their pretty much the biggest hotheads on the campsite. They don’t take shit from anyone. Typically, those in the red cabin choose to not participate in camp activities and no one really bothers to tell them they have to. But from what I heard, this year the red cabin might actually attempt to be on top. After all, they really do have the potential. 1. Audrey Peterson (18) Team Leader 2. Mathius Phoenix (18) 3. Sierra Jameson (17) 4. Name | Age | M. 5. Madison Callaghan (17) 6. Name | Age | M. 7. Name | Age | F. 8. Name | Age | M.
Team Blue- Your typical blue camper is simply put, an arrogant asshole. They did take it upon themselves to give their little campers a nickname. They call themselves the Royal Blues. This cabin has been on top for seven years in a row and truly don’t believe they’ll be giving up their position any time soon. The sad thing is that there may be one or two campers wearing a blue shirt who really might be the nicest kids you’ll ever meet but that will be overshadowed by their color. The blue campers are notorious for keeping up the rivalry, and pretty much are the blame for the entire thing getting started. Will the royal blues stay on top, or will there be a new reigning leader at Camp Liberty this year? 1. Richard King (18) Team Leader 2. Astrid King (17) 3. Casper Fawn (18) 4. Alexandria Novak (17) 5. Fox Bellamia (18) 6. Emilie Parker (17) 7. Alessandro Curzi (18) 8. Name | Age | F.
Team Gray- Your typical grey camper is, best put, mysterious. Like ghosts, they sometimes come out of nowhere and pull out a win, but other times half of them won't show up. Grey campers are usually those who's personality fits more than one color or none. They’re not complete sticks in the mud but they’re also not the biggest assholes around camp either. Actually, gray campers just might be the most tolerable ones you’ll come across. You never really know what you're getting with your typical grey camper. They're not to be trusted. 1. Alexander Bryant (18) Team Leader 2. Aisling Hawthorne (18) 3. Oliver Cash (15) 4. Serafina Gray (17) 5. Elijah Nelson (17) 6. Name | Age | F. 7. Name | Age | M. 8. Name | Age | F.
Team Green- Your typical green camper can usually be found carrying a can of spray paint or whispering behind closed doors planning their next big prank to bestow upon their fellow campers. Yes, the green campers are your pranksters or jokers and also the most intelligent. So does that make them full of themselves? No. But some of them are actually pretty smart. The green cabin is actually also known for housing the most cunning of the campers, as well as the pranksters . If there was a cabin that had the best chance of making it to number one this year, it would be the green cabin. Best of luck. 1. Atlantis Strang (17) Team Leader 2. Nathan Beauchamp (18) 3. Nicoletta Soriano (17) 4. Shawn Hunter (18) 5. Adielle Hart (16) 6. Caleb Brady (18) 7. Name | Age | F. 8. Eric and Finn Skarsgård (18)
Team Purple- Your typical purple camper is courageous and kind. If the camp was Hogwarts, purple would be Gryffindor. They've came second to the blues for seven years now, but are always getting closer every year. Purple are usually the favorites of the staff, as they can be extremely polite. It's easy for a purple camper to pull the wool over adult's eyes. If they believed in cheating, they'd be first every year without fail. But fortunately, or unfortunately, as it seems, for the purples themselves they are far too good for that. 1. Aiden Phillips (18) Team Leader 2. Malcolm Okada (18) 3. Krista Hale (17) 4. Guy Lee (18) 5. Cassidy Bradbury (17) 6. Theodore Simmons (17) 7. Scout Keller (16) 8. Name | Age | M.
Team Pink- Your typical pink camper is sassy and loud. Always with a lethal retort to anything you say about them, pink campers are the most dramatic of the camp. Most of them are very creative, and are all involved in performing arts of some sort. They are known for being gossip queens, but also for another factor- most, if not all, are extremely attractive. It's an odd thing- and, attractive people are still spread around the camp. But the majority are in pink. Maybe they can put their skills to use, and win this year? 1. Jessica Rieger (17) Team Leader 2. Hana Park (17) 3. Nicholas Beauchamp (18) 4. Nessarose Kipling (16) 5. Holden Fields (18) 6. Name | Age | F. 7. Name | Age | M. 8. Name | Age | F.

Location; Camp Grounds → Red Cabin → The Main Hall → The Media Room Interacting With; Sierra via text-@Dirty Pretty Lies & Mathius via text-@Lockerz Outfit | SongIt was that time of the year again - Summer. Temperatures were high with the sun making it's presence felt through the distant forest and campers were making their way to the campground though some might've came the night before to get the good areas of the cabins. It was a lovely morning, with a few clouds in the sky though none of them impending the threat of rain or storms. The camp was alive once again as people, well the fist years were at the reception desk in the main hall to see where to go and such, most people were checking out the activity board for the day, or some for the week. At Camp Liberty, it was always a fun time around every single corner - This year proves to be no different.
A car pulled up and parked in the parking lot and a female emerged from the vehicle with her cellphone up to her ear. She was talking to her mother, letting her know that she made it safely to the camp. "Okay, Mom. Alright, Mom." Audrey said with a sigh here and there as her mother said that she loved her. "Love you, too. Bye." After speaking those words, Audrey hung up her phone and went to her trunk, popping it open and grabbing her three bags. The atmosphere was great and she had such a great vibe about the day ahead. She walked with two bags, one in each hand and one slung over her shoulder as she made her way into the red cabin, throwing her bags on the nearby bed.
With a inhale and exhale, she left the cabin then walked throughout the campgrounds and over to the activity board to see what was on tap for the day. It was the first day so her eyes scanned over to the first day back to camp so today was introductions in the main hall and just a sort relaxing day. Audrey sighed with a slight smile then made her way over to the main hall, just to see who were all there already. It was already filled with people she didn't know, honestly though she did wave at them like she did.
While not really seeing anything happening in the main hall yet, she went to the room where she felt like herself and felt even more comfortable - The media room. It was sort of empty with only a few guys and girls as she did see that the X-Box 360 was open and up for grabs. Audrey wondered to herself if her gaming buddy was already here or making her way to the camp. Either way, she needed to figure it out while the X-Box 360 was still open.
To: Sierra Girl. The X-Box 360 is open and we have a few minutes before introductions. Tell me you're here! :D
She hit the send button then walked over towards the X-Box and took the controllers and hid them. Audrey then proceeded to walk around the media room as if she did nothing and watched the other players play the Playstation 3. She sat there and watched them until Sierra texted her back so that they could get a good session of gaming in before introductions. But as she sat there, she also wondered if anyone from the red team had made it to camp right about now.
To: ♥Mathius♥ Hey there, you. Was just wondering if you were at the camp already?
She liked Mathius. A little bit too much as in she had feelings for him still after last year. She bit her lower lip while hitting the send key then placed her phone in her lap and sighed while folding her arms over her chest. She would've texted Maddie but she'll see her during the introductions at ten o'clock.

Location; The Camp Grounds → Green Cabin → Pink Cabin → The Main Hall Interacting With; Astrid via text-@McHaggis | Alessandro via text-@Cosmos Nathan - Outfit | Song Nicholas - Outfit | Song
Two muscular guys on their respective motorcycles revved their engines into the parking lot of Camp Liberty and came to a stop right beside each other. "I so had you until you cheated." Nicholas muttered as Nathan chuckled and shook his head. "Let's be real, bro. You'll never beat me." Nathan responded as they both unstrapped their bags from the back of their motorcycles and slung it over their back. "I'll beat you one day." Nicholas offered him the remark and walked past him as Nathan caught up with him so they can walk side by side.
"So, ready for another wild Summer?" Nathan asked Nicholas as they stood perched onto the campgrounds as Nicholas breathed in the camp's air and nodded his head. "Yes although last year wasn't that wild, to be honest." Nicholas said as they continued on their trail to their respective cabins as they stopped by the green cabin first. Nicholas eyed area then raised a brow. "Pink cabins are so much nicer, to be honest." Nicholas said as Nathan looked over at him and scoffed. "Dude, all the cabins are the same." Nathan responded as they left the green cabin and walked over to the pink cabin as Nathan waved his arms around. "See, exactly the same." Nathan said as Nicholas shoved him lightly then walked past him.
"Come on, let's go to the media room to see whose all here and whatnot." Nicholas said as Nathan followed behind him. Upon their entrance into the main hall, everyone looked the same as in terms of they could not tell who was who. Nicholas looked at Nathan and Nathan looked at Nicholas then they both shrugged their shoulders while taking a seat in one of the appropriate areas, where the couches and chairs were. Of course, being Nicholas, he sat on the arm of the couch while Nathan sat right beside him with a sigh and pulling out his phone.
To: Astrid Are you here yet? Got some new fanfics I want you to read. :)
Nicholas peeked over his Nathan's shoulder and bugged him about who he was texting as Nathan almost knocked him off of the arm rest of the couch. "That is made for arms. Not your ass." Nathan commented as Nicholas shook his head and sat right back down on the arm rest of the couch. Nicholas pulled out his phone and started sending a text to Alessandro, someone whom he has become quite fond of as of late.
To: Alessandro Good Morning. Seeing if you were here yet and wanted to meet by the lake before introductions?
Nicholas sent the message as Nathan raised a brow up at him. "Speaking of texting, who are you texting?" Nathan asked as Nicholas scoffed with an eye roll. "I'll tell you when you're older." Even though Nathan was the first born and with those words said, Nicholas walked off but called out to his brother. "Text me when they are starting introductions. Thanks!" Even if Alessandro wanted to meet him by the lake or not, that's where he was going to go anyway. Nicholas stood on the dock and looked off in the distant, loving the way it felt as he decided to sit down now after rolling up his pants, taking of his shoes and letting his feet dip into the water.
Location; grounds > blue cabins > grounds > main hall Interacting With; n/a fox hated camp liberty. as much as he could act like a good little boy, put on that show for the counselors, he felt sick whenever he saw that handmade sign and the cheesy, uniform cabins spread all about. even the water was nauseating. there was so much of it, though; one could only imagine how easy it would be to drown someone in it. how long it would take to find them - if anyone even bothered to check the lake. how long it would take to find the culprit - if anyone even bothered to see if there was one. god knows teenagers nowadays are offing themselves at the simplest of provocations. hell, fox'd considered it during winter this year. if you've heard of a suicide pact, the perfect pair for that sort of thing would be him and his sister. they couldn't exist singularly without the other sibling, so why not just die together and get it over with? the looming sense of dread over both of their heads whenever they entered the house was a factor, too, but still. anastasia was the most important thing to fox.
of course, he knew he was going to be sorted into the blue team from the start. he never thought he was as much of a 'spoiled little shit' (his words) as some of the others, truthfully, nor was he as 'weak-minded' or 'weak-bodied.' he could be sure of these things at the least, because if there's any trait that describes him, it's that he is independently self-assured. thank god, too, otherwise the opinions of the angsty teenagers that surrounded fox would define him. that would be hell for any bellamia. the smart ones all think he's some kind of snake, supposedly they can 'see through' him, whatever that means. there's nothing to see through, he'll protest silently, but of course that's not true. the more dimwitted ones are slow to discover that he doesn't appreciate their 'innocence and naïvety.' those two traits in one human above the age of twelve equates to weakness, if you ask fox. sure, you could be curious, but innocence and naïvety describes a child in his mind. bellamias don't associate with children. this one in particular doesn't associate with anyone, honestly, unless they've got something to offer, but the point stands.
and so here he was, at his fourth year of camp liberty, god knows why. his father insisted his sister and he be separated for a while. fox was not sure why the "famous rockstar" (more like washed up C-lister) kurt bellamia wouldn't just keep him and send anastasia off, because he likes fox more anyway, but it's something about "fox needs to learn to empathize with his peers," or "fox needs to learn self-control and coping methods for his hostility," or "what in seven hells is wrong with your kid; send him to summer camp for a cure." you know, typical stuff. after encounters with other campers in his previous years, he wasn't sure exactly how this one was going to go. three years started out predictable - in his first year, he could pick out the weakest of the community and target them, and by the end of the year he had managed to befriend most of the more glorious members. of course, these people moved on from camp eventually, most of them being older than fox. in his second year he had less notoriety. a certain rejection and people 'figuring him out' sort of blew it all up. in his third year, last year, he was more outcast than usual, which totally fucked up his self-esteem, but that's the only bummer. he swore his fourth year would be better.
knowing where to go already, fox trekked past a growing crowd of newcomers and past campers alike, socializing and preparing themselves for whatever was in store today. the blue cabins were well-kept - it's not like they stood out distinctive from the rest, but they had a certain glossiness to them, like the royalty inside insisted on making their temporary residence reflect their personalities. the attempts were surprisingly successful. he ran my hand over the wood, getting used to this place again, and caught a splinter in his finger. as he stepped inside he curiously inspected the wood stuck in his flesh, twisted it out promptly, and a circle of blood grew where the splinter was. now, he wouldn't claim to be very much like a cat usually, what with the whole 'peeing to mark your territory' thing. and sure, blood isn't exactly sanitary. but he's fox bellamia, god damn it. entitled, he slammed the door shut and streaked the vermillion substance along the side that faced in, making it look like some sort of identification. what a fine display, he decided, before opening the door again to welcome others.
he had one suitcase on his person, filled with clothes and too much hygiene supplies to count. these kids got gross. something about puberty and hormones, he guessed, not like fox had ever experienced it. the suitcase in question was thrown across the room, landing spot on the only individual bed in the cabin. score - that's what you get for being early to the party! he ran the blood, now trickling down his finger, along the headboard this time, claiming it as his own. don't know if they can use it again after this year, maybe i've got some sort of disease, but whatever. he unpacked with rapid speed, then peeked into the bathroom to ensure he looked all right. good god, he looked half-dead. fox cupped his hands under the faucet and let water flow into them, quickly splashing some over his face, then proceeded to drink some of the tap in the hopes that some colour would return to his face. lo and behold, a honey tinge rose to his features soon enough, and he ran gangly fingers through his hair to tame the gentle curls.
now to find a hotspot. fox eyed a kid by the dock suspiciously for a moment once he had emerged from the cabin, then decided it wasn't worth his time. not enough of an audience. he approached the gaggle of newcomers flooding the entrance to the main hall, but they were all just unsure of themselves, too confused to focus on him for the moment. fox pushed past them rather crudely and moved slowly down the hall, sending a short glance into each room he passed. reception was, again, filled with rookies. the dining hall wasn't serving food yet, as far as he could tell, but some people were taking a look around, getting a feel for the place. the media room did have someone, some brunette sat near the gaming consoles. not interesting to him. and a red teamer, too, so screw that. he moved along and finally decided on simply staying in the designated area for introductions, choosing the largest one-seater he could find and sitting poised as hr was able to with such a gigantic cushion.
OLIVER CASH
Location; forest > main grounds Interacting With; n/a. it's like my family's literally outto get me, dead-set on upsetting me however they can, oliver chided himself resignedly. his mother has the best intentions, he knows, and if father had any conscience left in him he might have, too, but sending oliver by bus to his first day of camp seemed like an obvious no-go. for people who got so upset whenever he suffered public panic or ocd attacks, they sure like to put him in situations that trigger them. and now oli was stuck, situated between a rather large, round man with a cherry for a nose, and an old woman who stared straight ahead as if this were her military training. he decided to copy the old woman instead of scrutinizing the other members of the bus and kept his eyes ahead, drowning out any fear. that didn't exactly work. when you try to make yourself forget how scared you are, it puts more pressure on you, and you get even more anxious. he knew that already - what an idiot! he chided again. giving up the charade, he continued twisting in his chair to check out the people behind and in front of him, much to the dismay of the people beside him.
he'd heard only good things about the camp itself. people could be trying to trick me, sure. sure. but oliver needed to start believing his peers and be less cynical. what better place to start than a good ol' camp? other than honing his social skills, camp liberty was a sort of escape. some kids would find summer camp a waste of time, a waste of summer; as for oli, he was wasting away at home, and the fresh air was... needless to say, refreshing. he didn't want to take care of his sisters anymore, or his dad, or wait for mother to return home with a month's supply of food after her frequent absences. she'd finally gotten some paid leave, after all, so she may as well put it to some use. oli felt slightly guilty about it, though, and nearly stopped himself from boarding the bus earlier. surely he couldn't just leave that crooning woman all by herself with toddlers and her delirious husband... a part of him was vengeful, though, and wanted to make her feel what he felt. that's what you get for leaving me, something or the other. it's all very 'woe is me' and he thought he shouldn't be pitying himself so much. shut down train of thought.
the bus didn't take him directly to the entrance, so oliver followed a trail through a cluster of pine until he saw a large lake, and after that, a mesmerizing waterfall. he stared at it for a moment, clutching his backpack to his body, and felt doubt bubble up once again. this place seemed too grand for him. too good. oli stepped back, then heard the faint sound of laughter from the nearest cabin, and turned his head curiously. some kids were already there, apparently, and no one was being violent, or loud (well, with bad intent), or destructive... that was good, very good. he closed his eyes and sucked in a long, trembling breath, moving on frail legs towards the camp entrance. there must have been thousands of cabins around here. that upgraded the possibility of intimacy - he reluctantly stepped back again at the thought, before convincing himself, it'll all be okay, it'll all be okay. it appeared he had placed himself in the sort of 'centre stage,' because as far as he could see, he was surrounded by freshwater and groups of cabins and vibrant foliage.
unsure where exactly to go, oliver followed the lead of two much taller boys, who - after a fair amount of inspection, or as much as he could do from a distance - he decided were twins. they had a strange way of communicating: relatively competitive with one another, stereotypically sardonic, but with no actual malice in their voices. they inadvertently led him to a hall, and he peeked into a room labelled 'reception' as the two wandered about, quickly retrieving information about where he had been sorted and a pamphlet about the camp itself before heading back into the hall. oliver hurried to catch up, and found himself at a gathering of couches and seats and more; feeling utterly trapped by the amount of people in the room, he glanced over his shoulder anxiously at the door to plan a great escape. perhaps he could leave now and just hide in a cabin for the rest of the summer, no? it's not like all of them could be occupied, surely. but he was already here, and he tugged the straps of his knapsack closer, doing his best to pretend he hadn't just been following the twins because he's just that helpless.
oliver gently situated himself in a plastic chair, not bothering to take up any of the ones with cushions, because he was pretty certain those were reserved for the oldtimers. he pulled his belongings from where they weighed down on his back and rested them in his lap instead, drawing his feet up to cross over one another in the chair. thank god he wasn't that big already - oliver fit well enough into the crook of the seat, huddled like a small child attending their first play. honestly, that's what he felt like, too: lost, alone, not sure what he was doing or where he was. there were plenty of people to talk to around here, it seemed like, but oli didn't have the guts to approach anyone. trying to distract himself from his wandering mind, he focused on the calloused skin over his knuckles, pressing a fingernail between the individual wrinkles and picking off what flesh he could.
Location; Camp Grounds → Red Cabin → The Main Hall Outfit;Madison Callaghan Interacting With; N/A.
Maddie drove onto the camp grounds, parking up as close as she could to the main entrance. Her music was blasting, her windows were wide open and she had her elbow resting on the window frame and hand in her hair. Maddie turned off the engine and opened the car door, moving around to the trunk of her car to retrieve her bags upon bags upon bags. She rested her purse on her shoulder and threw a large duffle on her opposite shoulder, taking her two suitcases in either hand as she made for the camp. Turning for a second to lock the car awkwardly in-between her index and middle fingers and holding onto the key for dear life wishing it wouldn't fall. There were so many people, some only carrying one bag. Personally, she didn't understand how people could come with only one bag, how do you fit everything in one bag? As she entered officially onto the camp grounds she watched the large crowd heading for the main hall. Last year, that was where she went as a newcomer so she guessed that's where most people were going to be this time round as well. Finally reaching the red cabin, she pushed the door open with her back. She saw someone's bags rested on the bed closest to the door. Audrey. They looked like her bags. Seeing them filled her with a rush of excitement, she couldn't wait to see Audrey. Her first guess to where she would be would most probably be the media room with most likely Sierra. Maddie chucked her bags on the floor between two beds, she liked all the people in her team that she knew from the year before so she didn't care where she slept. If she had a choice, she would want to sleep with Audrey but she wasn't too fussed.
Taking her phone from her back pocket, she fell backwards onto the bed, her father wanted her to phone her as soon as she had arrived, again winning he award for the most protective dad ever. The day of travelling to get to camp was exhausting but the excitement of seeing everyone kept her awake otherwise she most probably would've taken a nap around now. Her father answered the phone and they spoke for around fifteen minutes, her father asking if she'd seen anyone yet, asking about her cabin and where she's sleeping. If she'd seen anyone she liked the look of yet. Obviously the answer was no, it was only the first day and to be completely honest, some of the feelings for a previous camper were still there and she hated that. She loved being around him so much but couldn't help feeling used when she thought about it after camp was over. After hanging up the phone from her father, she began to look through her phone, having at least a small rest before going and seeing the others. After a little while of looking through, she made for the bathroom after getting her make up bag and travel brush from her purse. Looking at herself in the mirror she looked like she'd just woken up and was still half asleep so she decided to do everyone a favour and began to touch up her make up and brush her hair. So she at least looking somewhat better and more awake.
After taking a while trying to chill out for a bit and get her thoughts together, she decided to go and actually be social and maybe go and find Audrey. As she exited the red cabin with her black purse hanging from her shoulder, she took a big inhale of the fresh air. The Californian heat and the fresh outdoors, how could that not make anyone happy and give someone so much energy. Maddie smiled to herself and pushed her sunglasses onto her face, taking another breath of air as she began to head towards the main hall. As she was walking she looked around at all the excited and happy faces of the newcomers and remembered that was how she was last year. But more scared that she wasn't going to make friends. Her gaze moved from the surrounding people and she looked around at the scenery. This place was truly beautiful, she felt so lucky to be able to come here and enjoy her summer in better ways than just staying at home and sitting inside all day. Maddie continued to ramble to herself in her thoughts and she neared the main hall.
Alessandro exited the taxi, making the first step onto the camp grounds. He pushed a hand through his hair as he looked around, moving his aviators onto his nose. The way he exited the taxi was like something you'd see in a movie and that just reflected Alek's view on himself, he wanted to look good doing whatever he was doing. Even getting out of a taxi. As he got out the taxi, he brushed down and sorted out his outfit after the long day of travelling. Whilst his taxi driver removed his suitcases and backpack from the trunk of the car. Alek moved around to get them from him, sliding the backpack over his shoulder as he took out his wallet from his back pocket with his other hand. Giving the exact taxi fare to the man and taking the two suitcases in his hands. Alessandro never packed lightly, even if he was going for a weekend he'd probably take way more than was needed. As he turned he flashed a smile at the taxi driver and nodded as a sign of thank you and began walking towards the blue cabin. Unlike others Alek was actually looking forwards to his time away, it was one of the only times he could ever feel himself without the dawn of his father falling over him, judging him on his every move that he made. The morning he left home, his father didn't even say goodbye, he just looked at him as he was saying his goodbyes to his mother and his older brother. But Alek was used to it by now, he tended not to let it bother him because there was no changing his view on his son being homosexual.
As Alek neared the blue cabin, he looked around at all the new comers, full of energy and looking forwards to the next summer. This is what Alek needed, something to hype him up and with all the smiles and good vibes it reflected onto Alek's mood, he was buzzing to get started and see his friends from the year before. Alek swung the door open to the blue cabin open and saw the King siblings, they look like they had just arrived too. He remembered Astrid from before and he was kind of friendly with her last year. "Ciao guys" Alek said as he flashed a smile in their direction "Good to see you guys again." There was already a bed with a single suitcases on top, claiming the only single bed. Alek didn't really mind sharing a bed, it wasn't such a big deal to him. He pushed his suitcases into the corner of the room, he'd leave the others to decide where they were sleeping as others were more fussy about where they slept. He investigated the room, he loved the wood and the style of the cabins, it just filled him with more energy and excitement for what was in store for this summer. As he was looking his phone vibrated in his back pocket, he took it out from his pocket and smiled at the name on top of the text message. Nicholas.
To: Nicholas <3 Hey sugar, yeah, i'm down, on my way x
Before leaving, Alek made for the bathroom, checking his appearance in the mirror. Not the first time today he had done this. He pushed his hand through his hair and got close to the mirror, his face looked refreshed, he made sure that especially for the first day he'd got enough sleep and made himself look as awake was possible, he didn't want to look dead. Although, he did wake up to a spot in his hairline that he had squeezed this morning and now it was just a red area in the corner of his forehead. Alek pulled his hair down further than it normally was to try and cover it as much as possible. It was the annoying realities of being a teenager, nothing more that he could do. Alek exited the bathroom and look over to the two again "I've got someone to meet but I'll talk to you two later at introductions?" Without much more hesitation Alek made for the lake, not wanting to keep Nicholas waiting more than he should. As he began his walk to the lake he pulled out his phone and checked with Emilie.
To: Emmy <3 Oi, i've arrived, where you at queen x
After navigating through the crowd of new comers and others he recognised from last year for what felt like forever of saying "Excuse me, excuse me." Emilio neared the lake and saw Nicholas sitting on the dock with his feet hanging over the edge. Alek stood behind him, resting his hands on his head and pushing his head back so he'd look up to Alek standing above him. "Ehi ragazzo. How are you doing?" Alek said with a smile as he began moving around to sit next to Nicholas on the deck, pushing his hand through his hair again. This is what he couldn't wait for, spending good times with good people all day everyday.
The truth: Ariel had gotten in to camp last night. She had saved the money all year in order to buy the golden plane ticket to her safe haven known as Camp Liberty. From the airport, she took a bus. Approximate time of arrival, five-thirty PM. Of course she took her luggage, claimed her bottom bunk in one of Grey Teams cabins. Hopefully she might be bunked with Ash, maybe, maybe not. Then again, new recruits were always fun. After bursting with energy until midnight, Ariel created another of her youtube videos updating everyone about her great escape and creating a poll for tomorrows outfit. The truth was, she just simply couldn't decide. Last but not least, shower then bed. By this time, she was worn out and slept gratefully.
Waking at the break of dawn, she would first check the blog, reply to all comments and see that outfit number one had been chosen for today. Typically, the girl wouldn't let anyone make her decisions for her, but, she just simply couldn't decide. Getting dressed, she would brush her hair and then braid her hair to the side, her bangs left to do their own thing as usual. Grabbing her cell phone off of the dresser, she would browse through various texts. But, before responding, she would send her own.
To: Sierra, Ash, Eli, Alex From: ~*~Kitten~*~
Guess whose at camp, loves! Get your asses to the main hall PRONTO.
What surprised her the most was the fact that she practically ran to the Main Hall, phone in hand of course, and burst through the doors, hoping to see a familiar face. With only a few others there, the smile would leave her face for a sheepish wave and a major blush. "Uh... Hey guys," she said nervously. Walking over to a large group of chairs, she would prop her feet up in one while sitting in another and proceeding to check her blog as well as respond to all missed texts.

Cassidy was afraid her first day at camp was going to be a horrible one; the reason being was that she had, at first, felt horrible that morning. She hadn't wanted to go by plane, at all, tried to argue with her parents, but they weren't having any of it. They didn't want her driving across the country, they didn't have time to drive her themselves, and flying was faster. She took a flight that would assure her arrival at the camp roughly around 9:25 in the morning, including her drive. Her parents wanted her to feel prepared and know each detail, so she didn't quite feel like a fish out of water. It was a bit overwhelming but Cassie went with it. She knew her parents were going to miss her, especially her mom, so she let her mom dote over her a little bit extra in the airport. The flight had been horrible. Cassie got sick, of course she did, her nerves were so high. She spent most of her time throwing up in either the toilet or a bag, disgusting the people around her. Since the woman across the alley from her rudely said maybe she shouldn't had flown if she was so nervous about it (that was putting it the nicer, simpler way), Cassie opened the bag of throw up, hummed, and aimed it her way while asking, "can you see the chicken I had last night?"
Cassie had been moved after that, the woman completely overreacting in Cassie's opinion. There had been a few empty seats, and thankfully, they didn't put her in a window seat. She hadn't wanted to throw up more. After that stressful flight, she was supposed to have a taxi pick her up. More like a driver, since her parents could afford something a little nicer and have it waiting on her. She nearly hugged the driver upon seeing him with her last name on a small, white sign, like something from a movie. She was back on land and she was so relieved. The car ride went well; there was a divider between the front and back seat, blacked out, and so Cassie flopped down all over the backseat and stared at the ceiling of the car until they arrived. She had propped her feet up on the window, crudely, and so when the driver opened the door, her feet fell down from the sudden pull of gravity. She gave the annoyed-looking man a sheepish smile, since she had left shoe prints on the tinted window, but she couldn't focus on that rude slip-up once she was standing outside the car.
Cassie had grew up in New York City. She had never traveled outside of it. Her parents saw no need too, they had everything they could ever want at the heart of NYC, so why leave somewhere already so great? So, the closest thing to a forest Cassie had ever seen was Central Park, and other parks around NYC. So, all the green took her breath away. It was so green, she felt as if she had just stepped foot on an alien planet. Which she might as well have, because she had never experienced anything so beautiful. And the smell. She breathed in the smell of dirt, pine and just freshness, amazed at how good it felt, at how it made her feel refreshed and excited for the day. She almost missed thanking the driver, since he had put her two suitcases beside her, and was ready to get out of there. She managed to tear her eyes away from the huge expanse of trees in front of her, to say a quick thank you and slip him a hefty tip (given to her just for that task), then turned back to admire the surroundings. Faintly, she heard chatter, laughing, and noticed some parked cars in the lot. She picked up her suitcases, beginning to walk along the path that led towards all the noise, beginning to see people, other teenagers, and what looked to be cabins, a whole ton of them, circling around the large, grassy lot that made up the camp.
"All right, Cassie," the red-head breathed out harshly, her heart beginning to pound a little. "They're humans, just like you... pretty sure they are, at least. Let's just say they are. You aren't a shy person, you're outspoken! You will make friends, and lots of them, and enjoy your time here!" she was mumbling to herself, eyes still glancing towards all the trees and bushes and plant life, still amazed and taken with the sight. "I get to touch a real tree- well, the trees are real in Central Park but these are wild trees! Not domesticated trees." she almost laughed at herself but stopped short, because, well, she didn't know what cabin to go too, and there were so many people running around. She took a deep breath, the fresh air making her feel relaxed, and moved on. It was easy to find the main hall; it was the main hall for a reason, right? It stood out. She found the reception after that, seeing even more people around; a lot must of been new, because there were a couple of people in the reception office, and some people were still lugging around their suitcases, like her. She was glad she only had two; some people had three or more and she couldn't imagine trying to balance all those right now. She got the information she needed and set off towards her new home for the summer.
She felt excited jitters as she entered the cabin. It was empty. "Ohh, firsties!!" she whispered excitedly, looking at the beds offered. She hummed to herself, spinning on her heel, like that would help her decide, before hefting her suitcases and letting them bounce softly onto the top bunk. She didn't mind having a bunk buddy for the summer. She dug around in her smaller suitcase, more of a carry on, and got her little bag of bathroom necessaries. "Oh wow," she said as she walked into the bathroom, taking in just how nice it was. Her parents wouldn't tell her just how much this place was but it had to cost a pretty penny for all this. She brushed her teeth, her hair, and washed her face, wanting to look refreshed, rather than just feel it. She put her things back in her suitcase, again not minding which vanity sink she got, she'd let her cabin buddies choose first. The last thing she did in the cabin was give her parents a quick call, to let them know she had made it safely; she didn't provide details about what happened on the plane ride, even though they wanted them. Afterward, she left, going back to the main hall. She smiled at anyone she passed, a slight skip in her step; the new place made her feel... pretty great. It was so beautiful and new and alien. "Well, here goes!" she whispered to herself before entering the main hall. She hadn't really taken notice of just how packed it was but now that she was officially going in, she saw. She made a circle around the room, just taking in the faces, and exploring somewhat. She went down a hallway and found the room she had been really excited about when she first read about it; the media room. She entered, her eyes lit up. "Sweeeeeet!" she said under her breath, seeing some people already playing on the PS3; the X-box 360 looked open, but she didn't see any controllers. "Aw well," she mumbled, moving over to get a closer look at what game the other people were playing on the PS3, and to watch with open interest and excitement.
It had been a bitter goodbye when William left for camp; no sweet tacked onto the end of that bitter. His mother was the only one who had seen him off at the airport and she gave his hair a smooth-down while softly saying, "maybe you'll meet a few nice girls, ones different from here, okay?" Will hadn't hesitated to jerk away from her, and yes, purposefully make a scene in the middle of the airport just to embarrass her. Which worked; she grew tomato-red once he was done stomping his foot and shouting about how maybe he'll meet very nice boys there. Afterward, with false cheer and truth, he said, "love you, mama!" he gave her red cheek a kiss, threw a wink her way, and walked off, ignoring all the stares following him, including his mother's own. He only had one bag, his backpack that he had took with him last summer when he left home, and it was stuffed full, with only things he needed. He didn't like taking a lot with him whenever he went anywhere, and the only reason he had a cell phone was to not hear his parents bitch at him for never having a way to contact him. The flight went smoothly; even though he didn't ask for it, his mother got him a first class ticket. He was disgusted by just how uppity that section was and gave his ticket up to some lucky soul to sit in coach. He already had to use his father's money for food and expenses while he lived there; he wasn't going to take anything else.
He also ignored a private driver they had gotten him. Fuck that. He didn't want to have the image of stuck-up, rich boy on his first day at camp. He walked past the man holding the sign with his name on it, whistling, pushing his sunglasses down on his nose and giving the driver a wink as he went by, surely confusing the man. He got a taxi from there, simple and normal, and told him where to go. He settled in and watched out the window. Where Will was from, they had plenty of greenery; their large backyard eventually turned into a patch of woods. However, this felt different. This felt exciting and new. He was actually in another state! A new place, with beautiful nature, and the more he saw, the more he grinned. As the taxi pulled into the parking lot, he hopped out quickly, eyes on all the trees, breathing in the wonderful smells. He loved it. He couldn't imagine going back home to that big, stuffy house, and those uppity people after experiencing this type of nature. Sure, he had seen some on his small travels last summer, but this was different; this was a new place, far away from his family, his home state, and he felt truly free. He slung his backpack on and tipped the driver handsomely; the man looked surprised and asked him if he had made a mistake. "Nah, I'm just nice like that." Will replied, flashing an honest smile, the smells and sights getting to his head, before walking towards where he heard a lot of chatter and general human noise.
He took in all the bodies, people walking to and fro, a lot going into a big building that seemed to almost be in the heart of the campsite. The main hall, he assumed, and followed a couple of people inside. From there, he managed to find the reception office, and get the information he needed. He was excited for the nature aspect of all this; the rest, he didn't really care about. He might make a few new friends, sure, but Will wasn't planning on getting real close to anyone. After all, there was an end to this summer, and Will wasn't going back home; he was going off on his own and he didn't want something (someone) possibly holding him back from that. He left the main hall, ignoring all the people chattering and laughing and introducing themselves, and found the red cabin. Please let me be first, he thought before entering the cabin.
Luck would have it, he was. So far, so good. The day wasn't horrible. He threw his backpack into the corner, not caring what bed he got; hell, he'd rather sleep outdoors, to be honest. He didn't linger in the cabin, instead turning and stepping back inside, to breath in the fresh air some more, and take in the sights. However, his good mood was ruined when he finally saw the huge lake. He gave an involuntary shudder and immediately cursed himself for the pricks of fear he felt across his body. It was just water. With narrowed eyes, he made himself walk towards the stupid lake. He noticed a couple people on the dock and avoided that, instead veering off and stopping a good fifteen feet away from the edge. He pushed his sunglasses up, his hair going with it, and stared at the still water, how the sun reflected and glistened off of it. He gritted his teeth and made himself take a few steps closer. Water is good, water keeps you clean! he thought to himself as he managed a few more steps forward but he stopped there; his heart was pounding and his hands were shaking slightly. He shoved them into his jean pockets, annoyed beyond belief, and glared out at the lake, as if it had just personally offended him.

The staff members opened the door moments before 9AM. A girl with untamed dirty blonde hair, chestnut colored eyes, and an adorable-dimpled smile waited by the entrance tracing with the tip of her boot a buzzing bee in the dirt "flying" in the direction of the Main Hall. Above the basic drawn bee, in big letters it said: W E L C O M E! In her left hand, she held five dandelions that were at the stage where one could blow air at it and make a wish. Sentimental gift for five lucky kids she assumed were here for the first time. The lack of make up and her apparent dark circles gave off the idea that she had just rolled out of bed to be one of the first ones in the Hall, which wasn't necessarily untrue. Nessarose had gotten to camp a day earlier, so she had plenty of free time to think, write, and lay in the grass. The grass was nice.
When the flowery girl saw her opportunity, she excitably skipped her way into the building. Now it was time to play the waiting game. Wait. Wait. Wait. Life was filled with so much waiting. Taking a seat on the wooden floor rather than the actual seats, like the oddity she was, criss-cross applesauce, her gaze never turned away from the door, as she waited patiently like the puppy she was. Ness wasn't one to send text messages to people unless they sent one to her first and even then, she wasn't the most understandable person to talk to through technology. The type of girl she was were those individuals who preferred to write on paper and even wrote letters to their love interest. The discipline of writing what's on one's mind was something she admired. Nowadays, people all ages were incredibly zoned in their phones or computers. Such a lack of appreciation to the world around them.
There was a sort of intrigue not knowing where her friends were and possibly stumbling on them as the day went on. Although she has only been at the camp for one summer, this being her second, the curious mouse took the time to learn most of the camp grounds within the first week. There's probably more Ness has yet to discover but that's something she can do this week!
Twirling the flowers in her hand, a faint blush fell on her face when she thought about a special someone. An entire year without seeing him and just being a bloody hopeless romantic thinking of unreasonable fantasies that she'd experience with him. Maybe, in a bit, Nessa would walk to "the spot" where she, more often than not, found Holden. The youthful spirit needed to tell him her mission this summer! That was absolutely a must.
Hm, but what if he disapproves? That sort of thing didn't come to her mind until now. Contemplating the sudden thought, the naive girl gave her pouty thinking face. Her friend never did say a single word to her but somehow his silence gave her comfort. I wonder how good he is when it comes to judging character.
Chuckling to herself, she decided that Holden wouldn't mind her crush at all! Sure, this was entirely based on her own assumptions on how the mysterious man thought, but we live and we learn. It wasn't like Holden disliked her. He would have left her side last year during those fun conversations they shared if that were the case, right? Her crush was such a nice guy! Holden would understand! Yeah, she'd definitely tell him soon.
Her eyes became wide eyed when she saw the Beauchamp twins enter the hall. Freezing up nervously, they walked in and took a seat on the couches. Of course, they wouldn't notice her because she was on the floor hidden, especially since both of them were handsomely towering from the angle she was at. The 16 year old wanted to grab Nicholas' attention and in return Nate's, yet her mind was completely blank as she fixedly looked toward their direction. Within time, the person she assumed to be Nate left, or maybe her subconscious was forcing herself to believe that the twin she didn't know strolled on out to enjoy the sun, allowing relief to stream through her petite body.
Taking a deep breath in, Nessarose stood up and held the dandelions like a bouquet, her hands clasped tightly. Slowly, very slowly, she tiptoed her way to Nicholas. The further she walked, the more she made herself believe this man was her big brother! Man, twins were so hard to tell apart! The closer she got, the faster her heart raced. Nervousness.
However, before reaching her destination, Ness' attention was brought to a sheepish kid sitting by himself on a plastic chair. His face didn't look familiar. I shall call him Little Rabbit.
Taking a detour, she turned to the boy and brought her face directly in front of his, eye-level, crouching her body slightly.
"HI! I have something for you~" Handing him a dandelion, Nessa gave a cutesy grin, "Make a wish, but don't tell anyone! Maybe it'll come true. Liberty is a fun place to be at, I'm sure you'll fit in just fine." Forgetting to introduce herself, the ditzy girl waved goodbye and turned back to give her regards to Nicholas.
Coming up from behind him, she gave a warm embrace, wrapping her arms around his chest, "Hey Brother Bear!"
The poor girl had no idea what she had just gotten herself into.
Laying in the back of the car, throwing her hacky sack up and down, up and down, up and down, an alluring brunette waited patiently to arrive at Camp. She had gotten to Cali yesterday but her father insisted she leave the following morning. Her plane ride was oddly nice. Coincidentally, the woman sat next to an old acquaintance she met at a Halsey concert some time ago. Sierra. A tom boy with gorgeous green eyes. Being confident and laid back, the older woman made small talk and eventually, both ladies discovered that they would be going to the same place: Camp Liberty. Her one night concert buddy did not seem fond of the trip, not one bit.
To this day, Aisling's father still won't let her take her own damn car, basically demanding her to let Rupert take her, like every year. The problem wasn't the chauffeur taking her to camp. The problem was her father choosing to desert her in an area hours away from him so even if she wanted to, she would have to go through great means just to get back to him.
After all, he was an asshole. Luckily for him, she preferred camp than being alone in his excessive house. With a roll of her eyes, the strong woman caught the sack one last time and sat up. Patting her hair down, her warm, chocolate orbs glanced outside the window watching the passing trees. Taking in the silence, her mind thought about the fact that this would be her's and Ghost's last year at camp. Unfortunately, these circumstances were bitter sweet. She needed to make this summer count, achieve things she hadn't done last year and perhaps, win the competition showing everyone that Grey was capable of wrecking face just as much as any other team.
People underestimated them because Grey members had the tendency to not want to be involved in camp activities because they were either uncomfortable, lazy, or just didn't want to deal with petty games and a title that was worthless at the end of the day. Yet, Ash knew her team was capable of so much more than they showed and that in itself would give them an advantage. Plus, ain't nobody letting the "Royal Blues" win. Fuck those turds. She and Ghost would make sure that their winning streak ended. If Grey won, even better, they would be able to shove it in their face. The thought of the Blue team made the woman think of someone in particular. Contemplating to herself for a moment or two, she decided to take initiative and send a text to make sure the pretty girl didn't back down this summer. Last year was fun and games, especially after that fairly close and personal challenge. Picking her phone up with slight intrigue in her expression, she typed up a quick message with her free hand (her other hand still holding onto the hacky sack).
To: Blondie Hey Babe. Gonna kick your ass this year. Be ready. ;)
After she sent the text, she placed her phone on her lap and crossed her arms rather impatiently.
"Ru, what's the ETA?" she sighed, putting her toy back in her backpack.
"Five minutes, give or take, Ms. Hawthrone." Her face grimaced when he called her by her last name.
"How many times do I have to remind you? Call me Ash. No need for formal shit." Feeling her phone vibrate on her lap as the man apologized and grew silent, Aisling turned it over and read a text from one of her camp friends, her darling Kitten. Meow. Or in other words, Ariel, a feisty ass girl she's had to cover for on more occasions than the older woman would like to admit. There was a small attachment Ash obtained by observing the girl and being there for her if she ever needed a companion. Adorably awkward through and through, but with a ticking bomb personality. That was Ariel.
To: Mew Mew Damn girl, I get you that excited? ^^
To: Ride or Die Squad I'll be there soon. Start thinking of shit to do now. Especially you Ghost.
As if the gods had answered her prayers, the luxury car pulled into the camp parking lot, "No need to help me or get out the car. I can handle my bags."
Sometime later after dropping off her things...
Finally arriving in the Main Hall, she noticed Ariel, who wasn't paying much attention to her surroundings. Her stare trailed from her friend to the babyface kid by himself. Without a doubt, he was a new camper and something about him had "Grey" written all over him. Gesturing to Kitten to give her a moment, having noticed the young girl look up from her phone, the pseudo-mom of the Grey team made her way toward the new recruit, who was holding a dandelion.
Giving him a warm smile that she didn't give many people unless she knew just by looking at them they were harmless, Ash welcomingly asked, "Want to sit with us?" Motioning to the direction where Ariel was, the woman continued, "The name's Aisling, by the way. You can call me Ash. Mind me asking, are you in Grey?" She offered her hand for either a shake or to assist him up, whatever he wanted, and waited patiently for the young boy to respond.
Roaring into the parking lot, a jet black jeep parked in the front row of Camp Liberty. Simultaneously the doors popped open and two sets of feet hit the ground. Turning with an uncanny similarity, Erik and Finn strode towards the check-in to camp. Stride for stride they matched each other's steps. In fact from head to two the two were completely identical. Body, clothes, even their hair was almost perfectly identical. They were the perfect image of synchronicity. For all of five seconds. "Hey, idiot! I told you we would have been here earlier if we took the normal road. Look, we're late!"
"Idiot? I was the one that said we should take the normal road, but noooooo. You insisted your short cut would get us here faster."
"Did not."
"Did too."
"Are you calling me a liar?"
"If you're not a liar, than flamingoes can fly!"
"You idiot, flamingoes can fly!"
"No they can't!"
"Yes, they can!" The argument between the two brother quickly turned into a full out brawl, rolling around on the ground. Seconds later they were sprawled side by side exhausted by the perfectly matched fight. Erik's shoe was lying a few feet away, and Finn had a bite mark on his leg. Standing up, Finn reached out his hand to help his brother to his feet. After grabbing his shoe, the twins continued their walk into check-in. At the front door, Erik pulled his brother to the side, whispering fervently in his ear. Immediately a large grin spread across Finn's face.
Turning away from Erik, Finn walked straight into the door and up to the receptionist. "Finn Skarsgård here, checking in." The girl sitting in front of a checklist, glanced boredly up at him before stretching something on a notepad. "Go in," her voice droaned out. Obviously she was very bored, but that was about to change quickly. Finn nodded his thanks and walked out the back door, just as Erik walked in to the receptionist. "Finn Skarsgård here, checking in." Looking up with surprise, she double glanced behind her where Finn had just disappeared. "I... I just checked you in..." Scratching his head in thought, Erik shook his head slightly, "Um... what do you mean I just got here?" Shaking her head in weariness, the receptionist just waved her hand towards the door and marked down again on the notepad.
Walking out the back door, Finn glanced around the from the front of the check-in where he had run back around to. Seeing his brother step around the corner, he walked up to the receptionist. "Finn Skarsgård here, checking in." The girl's head shot up this time. She had just watched Finn Skarsgård walk out the back door. "What the f- What the hell is going on here?" Unable to hold on to his composure Finn cracked up. From outside the door Finn could hear his brothers muffled laughs.
Apologizing to the poor receptionist, they ran out of check-in and towards the green cabin. Throwing their bags through the open door without a care about their contents. With a silent nod to each other the twins took off towards the main hall. An agreement had been made between them with that nod. The agreement to race. And the agreement to talk shit the entire way.
"Catch up you ugly slug."
"Who the hell are you calling ugly, compost face?!"

Tis had gotten to camp early that morning. She had wanted to get there the night before so that she could set up and get an early start preparing to be Cabin Leader of Team Green, but there was a major wicked surf on the beach so... She stayed in the water from dawn till dusk. By the time she had gotten out of the water, her legs were weak and wobbly and her hands were as wrinkly as grey belly. After eating she had passed out, ready to get an early start for the drive to Camp Liberty.
Now that she was there, the cabin was perfectly decorated. Everyone in Team Green new that if you roomed with Tis you weren't sleeping in the normal cabin. She beachified everything. The rug was rolled up and replaced with a beach towel, in the corner of the room an open umbrella was propped up. Shells and sand dollars were strung up across the beds, and the walls were covered in pictures of the ocean. It was just like home. It even smelled like the ocean thanks to Tis's sandy clothes being flung in every corner.
Sitting down on her bunk with her surf board, she never went anywhere for long without it, across her knees, Tis began to wax it. She'd wait till someone came along, she knew she had at least one first year and a couple second years that she could show around. At least they would help to entertain her, she was so bored.
Hearing the pounding of feet coming towards the cabin, Tis jumped up to see who was coming to the cabin. Opening the door, two identical bags hit her square in the face. Shoving off the bags, Tis propped herself up in time to see the twins running off. "Hey, you damn eggy beach whistles! You nearly gave me an ankle busters binger!" She shouted out at their retreating figures.
Nicoletta wasn't entirely sure she was in the right place. Well, she knew she was at Camp Liberty, the sign near the entrance had made that clear, and her parents had made sure she printed up multiple copies of the directions before they agreed to drive her there so getting lost was not on the agenda. She was AT Camp Liberty. But she didn't think she was at the place she should have been. When she arrived the previous day, having read the start date incorrectly (in her defense, she still hasn't gotten over the backwards way in which the United States wrote their dates), her parents left with just a simple hug and well wishing without even accompanying her to check in. Ncoletta assumed that her papa was still upset that she wouldn't be there to help the restaurant in the busy summer days; what with all the blockbusters premiering and celebrity parties needing some high grade Italian cuisine for their catered events, Soriano's had enough business in the summer to last them the rest of the year.
And Nicoletta was going to miss it. Sure, she would miss the rare chance to meet her crush from afar (or possibly from aclose if things had worked out as they do in La-La Land), or take pictures of famous people to, as Heather Chapin puts it so eloquently, 'make the rubes and norms of the world wish they were me'; but she needed this place. She needed a summer on her own, away from anyone she knew from Burbank.
Fortunately, she wasn't the only one who had arrived a day early and after explaining the little mistake to someone that was very obviously wearing a fake smile for having pulled the short straw this check in period, Nicoletta was simply told to pick a cabin. She wasn't sure she heard it correctly, all the stories made it seem as if cabins were assigned...but stories were often embellished for dramatic purposes, yes? Even after asking for clarification all she got in response was the rundown of the colors and pointed off to where the cabins were. Nicoletta was too excited by way of exhausted to raise much of a fuss as she carted herself and her baggage (and her luggage was brought along behind her as well) through the grounds towards the cabins.
Hearing the colors, Nicoletta made a line for the pink area. It made sense, surely. In Burbank's teenage population she was considered something of a fashionista by association given that she ran with Heather Chapin's clique; though were Heather to see Nicoletta presently it might be enough to get the tyrant Chapin gagging in disgust. But it wasn't the pink cabin Nicoletta found herself in as she approached the cabins while looking at a map of the camp grounds. Nicoletta entered what she thought was a pink team girls cabin and began unloading her stuff.
It wasn't until the next morning after Nicoletta was woken up by the arrival of the other campers that she realized this was not pink. From where she was looking, none of the people hovering around this cluster of cabins were what she would call 'fashionable'...and yet she didn't exactly look out of place with her low cost, low effort style of dress. Could she stay with these people? Would the accept her despite her status in Burbank? Nicoletta had to shake her head at that; why WOULDN'T they? Who here knew who she was?
And so it was that Nicoletta found herself roped into the green team.
With the campers arriving en masse, Nicoletta shoved her hands into the pockets of her jeans, kept her head low, and made her way from the cabin towards the main hall area. She didn't exactly make eye contact with anyone walking past, and people that greeted her in passing only got a bit of a soft mumble in response. Hell of a first impression, she was thinking, shaking her head all the while. Many of these people had been here for years, had already known people and were meeting old friends again after a wide gap...and as she entered the main hall and saw the smiles as friends embraced...she wondered if she made a mistake in coming here.
Nicoletta knew no one and no one knew her or even noticed her as she made her way further into the main hall, towards an empty seat near a side wall. Nicoletta wasn't sure she was in the right place. She realized now more than ever that despite her status in high school...she really didn't have much experience in the art of social interaction. Just another thing to work on during the summer.
She sighed as she leaned back against the headrest of her chair, eyes just looking around at the happier people around the main hall with jealousy in her thoughts.

The hardest part of checking in at Camp Liberty was the line. Hana Park had arrived in California the previous day, after having suffered through a plane ride while being sat next to someone in the aisle seat who kept forcing his hand onto her armrest. She was in the middle seat, and everyone with half a brain understands the the middle seat has two armrests. That was the whole benefit of HAVING the middle seat. Arriving in California meant having to meet up with her brother and his 'friends' who spent the summers in and out of various states of comprehension. She wasn't there to catch up or anything, she actually did not much like her brother, Ken, at all - not even their parents had many nice things to say about their high school burnout of a son - but he had his uses. Namely in handing over a fair few bottles of various pills. "Sleeping pills" she often called them, or else "anxiety medication" if anyone was to find out.
There was a rule in place at Camp Liberty about no drugs or alcohol, but Hana Park had yet to get caught the previous two years, so what reason did she have to worry this year? The best part of Camp Liberty was that she could charge a premium for her services or she could ensure that bonfires and parties were extra memorable. Her first year she didn't exactly enjoy the idea of continuing her little trade in a different state, but she returned home after camp with enough money to buy a fabulous pair of heels she had been dying to have so...there were perks.
Plus, you put a bunch of teenagers from all walks of life together in relatively close quarters and someone's going to want to pop a pill or two just to get through the day. In Hana's mind, she was simply providing goods and services, simple supply and demand, and who was she harming, really? The rules? There were rules about not having the opposite sex in the cabin but everyone knew that there was a period early in the morning when guys and ladies rushed along back to their own cabins before the wake up chime.
The reason the check in line was the worst part of checking in was simply because Hana was in essence sumggling, having substances in the bottom of her purse, and that used to make her rather paranoid. But this was her third year and the process was rather smooth, with the familiar face welcoming her back and telling her that she was in pink again, of course, and Hana was well on her way. Hana picked the same bed she picked the previous two years, always the bottom bunk, always the furthest from the door.
After claiming her space by plopping her bags down near or on the bed, Hana sat herself on the edge and took out her phone. There were people that were happy to see her, and why wouldn't they be? But there was really only one person Hana wanted to make sure was made aware of her presence. If anyone were to ask, Hana and her were thick as thieves.

Nessarose was a strange girl, but Hana had seen the girl as something of a protege of sorts. Girls like Hana Park needed their pet projects.
After sending the text, Hana rustled around in her backpack, made sure her drawing pad had survived the journey, dug it out, and hurried herself out of the pink cabin and towards a quieter area of the camp grounds. There was one thing Hana liked to do before appearances dictated she make herself known to her peers, friends, and customers. She found an empty bench table and opened her drawing pad, sketching the view of the lake and the trees in front of her. Nature was not her best subject, but this was more to mark the occasion than anything else.
Hana didn't often like to draw at Camp Liberty. Her reputation was as a stylish, queen B type, not as a weird artsy type, which is why she kept that particular hobby of hers on the lowest of downs. But even she could admit that doing a quick, if crude, sketch of the trees dotting the lake was comforting. It marked the fact that she had arrived, that nature could still exist in a state like California. She came from a small town in Tennessee, the most nature she got was farmlands and a Waffle House on damn near every corner, so this was rather refreshing.
But as her pencil darted about the page Hana sighed. The drawing didn't look right. Her shading was off or something. It didn't matter; Hana ripped the page from her pad and tossed the crumbled ball onto the grass behind her.
What a waste of time.
Hana had appearances to make now. Camp Liberty had to know she was here. She might not have been the leader of pink team, but damn if she wasn't a living embodiment of one aspect of what made the pink team, well, the pink team. Hana Park made her way to the main hall and shoved open the doors as she stepped inside, sliding off her sunglasses and flipping her hair as she did so. She had arrived.
"Please, no flash photography, boys and girls," Hana didn't even know if anyone heard her, nor did she really care. The point was that a queen was amidst the paupers and eventually they would show the proper deference. Another summer was about to begin, and Hana Park was giddy with the anticipation.

"Alright, now don't disappoint me bro. Every year we went to a summer camp and every year there were single hotties just sitting there for the picking." - said Dean facing his best friend who was sitting in the passanger seat just as they parked the car on a vast yet nearly full campus parking lot. "Dude what are you on about? I'm with Kylie."- Ted was taken aback slightly by his friend's suggestion. "Are you serious? You mean you two didn't take a break?" - Dean inquired further with a bewildered frown. "What? No." - Theodore was determined and a little surprised by Dean's hints to cheat on his long-term girlfriend. "Bro.. bro! What's wrong with you?" - The blonde muscular guy defended his position while still holding his left hand on the steering wheel while he gestured with his right hand as he elaborates: "Every time you get separated you ask for a break. That way when you play around you don't feel guilty!"
Although Ted was used to his friend's mischiefs and his inability to stay focused on one girl at a time Dean never forced his way of life on Ted before. Perhaps it's because this was the first time Ted was away from his girlfriend for a meaningful period of time, but even the plain suggestion startled him a bit. "Dean, what are you even saying? You know Kylie and I are not like that. We're gonna try long distance."
He tries to explain to his womanizing friend the kind of relationship him and Kylie have together, but how do you explain loyalty to a guy who refuses to commit to anyone? The kind of relationship Kylie and Ted enjoy is completely foreign to Dean who by his own decision never had a girlfriend in his life. To him, a relationship between a man and a woman is supposed to be short and purely platonic as he has a tendency jumping from one girl to another as if he's afraid of having any sort of responsibility towards a female. He does his business and moves on not giving it enough time to settle in and feel cozy with that person.
"Please don't tell me you actually think she's gonna hold you up to that? For Christ sake, she's spending three months 3000 miles away on the sunny beaches of South Carolina. Don't be stupid and go get laid." Ted just chuckles and dismisses Dean's allegations completely: "Nah bro, I trust her." After saying that, for a second there Ted thought he almost saw a slight upward curve on the side of Dean's lips as if he brought some hope to him and maybe, just maybe, Dean might give it a shot some day, as well. The silent second that passed with them looking at each other awkwardly was suddenly broken as Ted reached for his backpack from the back seat: "Alright, I'm heading out. Thanks for the lift." "You're lucky it's Sunday. Im leaving tomorrow morning with my dad on a business." - Dean replies almost under breath as he grabs the steering wheel and checks out his mirrors. The annoyance in his voice is unerring. "Oh yeah? Where to?" - Ted follows up as he's struggling with his heavy backpack. At this point he's basically crouching on his seat with his ass in Dean's face.
"Jesus!" - Dean cries out for help as he lifts his right arm trying to protect himself. Finally, Ted pulls his backpack out and sits back down about to get out of the car. Dean continues: "No idea. Hes keeping me in suspense. Probably thinks I'd bail if I had time to think about it." "Knowing you, you probably would. Enjoy your summer pansy." - says Ted as he finally pulls the handle on his door and gets out of the vehicle. Dean cracks a salty smile and puts the car in gear, slightly sad about their first time being away in years: "Yeah yeah. You too. Bye bro."
Ted, on the other hand seemed enthusiastic about his new adventure: -"See ya man!" He took the luggage out of the trunk, plugged in his headphones and proceeded towards the campus, with a heavy backpack strapped to his shoulders and a large travel bag that he's pulling across the concrete towards what, from brochures, seems to be the main hall. The parking itself had dozens of people on it, some holding their own luggage, family members and friends saying their goodbyes, already formed groups hanging out and even some people greeting others at the entrance.
As he finally dragged his way towards the doors where some people were giving out hearwarming welcomes, Ted removed one of his headphones before confidently inquiring: "Hi. Which way to the reception desk?" One of the people pointed him towards a big line forming up at the end of a hallway. "Great. Thanks." - Ted's face turned melancholic at the sight of a large amount of people trying to reach the reception, and from his point of view it all seemed confusing and disorganized. Fun times - he noted to himself as he continued dragging his bag.
While waiting in line and slowly progressing, the place was getting louder and louder. The amount of people forming up in the tight corridor during the summer heat was becoming unbearable. Jesus Christ, I'm sweating like a pig on a skewer - he noted to himself while trying to nonchalantly wipe the sweat off his forehead with his right hand. Just at that second one of the people in front of him started vommitting uncontrollably, most likely due to the sultry atmosphere that had formed. He didn't notice it at first as he was too focused listening to his music and minding his own business, texting his parents and girlfriend. Then people started passing by him in the opposite direction covered in some sort of mucus that made him feel nauseus as well. What the f... - he thought to himself as he now took more interest in what was going on in the front of him.
About half an hour later, which to him felt like eternity spent in hell, he finally makes his way to his destination. "Name." - asks the woman at the reception with discontent in her voice. She didn't want to be there any more than he was. "Theodore Simmons." - he responded just as unenthusiastically while pulling in his bag and setting it up straight. "From now on, you're purple team. Your cabin number is 26. Here's a key." - the woman proceeded as he took the key and set out through another door which lead him into a larger room with a way towards the back of the building. Through the glass wall he could see a thick pine forest surrounding a large field dotted with wooden cabins and a beautiful little trail leading through the village. In the far back he could glance at a silvery lake with the sun rays reflecting off of it's waves and protruding as far as the main hall. He stepped outside on to a large porch which had several groups of people hanging out on it, people who have already settled in, as it seems by the absence of their baggage. He made his way trying to figure out where his cabin is while at the same time taking in the atmosphere he found himself in. The beautiful day and air in the nature accompanied with human laughter and voices of hundreds of people spread out all over the campus coming through and harmonizing with the humming of the birds. Now we're talking - he thought to himself as his first impressions brought nothing but smile to his face. He asked around for the whereabouts of his soon-to-be new home and finally found it atop a small hill rising above the trail somewhere in the middle between the lake and the Main Hall. Next to it was a pole with a small purple flag. Of course there's a flag on it. - he reflected to himself with a sudden realization that all cabins have flag colors for easy identification. He proceeded to climb up to the doors by a set of stairs laid in front of them. He knocked twice on the door before trying to open them but to his surprise they were locked. Oh? I'm first? This can't be right. I'm always late. - Ted thought reaching down into his shorts pocket and pulling out the key he was given at the reception. He then put it in the keyhole and twisted left, unhinging it and entering a spacious and for a log cabin luxurious looking room with two sets of bunk beds on both sides of the entrance and what appears to seem like a living room at the end. He made his way towards the bunk bed to his right and placed his bags next to the lower deck. He inhaled the air of the room deeply before letting it out while casually saying "Claimed". He was relieved. Theo quickly unpacked his things and put them into a closet that was placed next to the bunk bed and shoved his luggage under the bed to free up space for his roommates.
"Well, since my roomies aren't here yet I might as well go out and explore a little" - he thought out loud as he took out a bottle of water, put the headphones back in his earlobes and stepped out of the cabin, closing the doors behind.

"C'mon guys! Are you two still gonna go through with this?!"
It was the Sunday of the second week of June: the day Fiorella Aguilar was unwillingly scheduled to leave for Camp Liberty. Even now, at the airport just in front of the TSA lines, Lela was still convinced that her parents would come forward and tell her this was just a scare to ensure she wouldn't pull another stunt like this. Unfortunately, it seemed like this wasn't going to happen.
"Lela, we have already talked about this. You're going to Camp Liberty, and that's FINAL" Marina sternly told her daughter, crossing her arms in front of her while her husband Giovanni nodded alongside her. Meanwhile, Lela kept her beautiful face in a furious scowl.
"God! I make one stupid mistake, and you guys are sending me off to a forest in Gringolandia for the whole summer?!" Lela shrieked, not caring in the slightest that people were turning their heads in the direction of the little scene she was causing. Her parents gave nervous glances around, afraid that someone they knew would recognize them.
"Mija, we have overlooked waaaaaaaay too many things throughout all these years. It's time you finally face the consequences of your actions," Giovanni told his daugther in an expressionless voice. He looked at his two-toned gold Rolex and back at Lela. "Now, off you go. You don't wanna miss your flight."
"Puñeta! Me voy pal' carajo entonces!" Lela spat at them, stomping her foot in the floor and huffing away to the TSA line without bothering to look back or even say goodbye to her parents.
The flight to LA was long but rather entertaining one for Lela. With her pink earphones on, she spent the whole trip listening to music with the volume as loud as it would go while ignoring the disapproving looks the old woman next to her was giving her. Even with the music, Lela couldn't keep her nervousness on check. She was quite the confident, social butterfly, so going away to a summer camp should be a breeze, right? But still, she was always afraid that people wouldn't like her, or that she'd get made fun of for the noticeable accent in her English. The thoughts plagued her all the way through the trip, and the nervous butterflies in her stomach only intensified when she felt the thud of the airplane's wheels hit the LA ground.
Even when she was only dressed with jean shorts, a sleeveless dark pink peplum top (already representing her team) and gold wedges, she didn't get cold during her trip. Her Pandora bracelet hung delicately on her left wrist, while a crown-shaped ring of the same brand adorned the ring finger of her right hand. Small diamond studs adorned her earlobes and the thin, delicate white gold necklace with the curly "Lela" charm hung from her neck. Her hair was currently colored chocolate brown with caramel highlights, and completely loose in all of its curly glory. Her face sported a natural makeup with earth-toned eyeshadow, a winged eyeliner sharp enough to kill and a bright pink lip gloss. The fact that she was going away to a camp in the middle of nowhere didn't mean she wasn't gonna look good. You never knew when you would meet a potential babe.
Lela arrived at LA on the scheduled time, and she quickly flagged down a cab to take her to the camp. When the taxi dropped her off at the address, Lela had been unable to hide her surprise. Camp Liberty looked nothing like those creepy camps they showed in the mainstream media. The place was stunning: acres of beautiful greens (not that she didn't have those at home, of course. Puerto Rico had mountains and trees everywhere you looked), great-looking wooden cabins... She could even hear the murmur of a river nearby. And the 80 degree weather? Pure bliss for a Caribbean girl like herself who was used to nothing below 90 during the summer-autumn months. Lela took another moment to take in her peaceful surroundings before making her way to the Pink Cabin, cursing herself for over-packing and wearing brown wedges at every step as she dragged the ginormous hot pink suitcase, the biggest Victoria's Secret gym bag the online store sold and her black and white striped Michael Kors bag.
To add to her surprise, Lela found the only single bed in her cabin unoccupied, and so she quickly dropped her bags on top of it to mark it as her territory with a bright smile. She would organize her stuff in a bit, but first the mood had to be set. She quickly took out her speakers, plugged in her iPhone and raised the volume up. In no time, Rihanna's "Work" was filling up the cabin (the base was probably making the windows rattle) and Lela was shaking her big Latina hips and booty to the beat like no one was watching (which no one was): she had made twerking popular before Rihanna ever had. The set-up and organizing of her things had taken more time than it should've because of all the moments of dancing she had done, but Lela had still managed to finish the task. Instead of leaving the cabin to socialize like she normally would, Lela decided to take advantage of her delicious solitude to throw a one-person dance party. Her reggaeton music had now taken ahold of the cabin, and she was again shaking her ass and hips along without realizing that the cabin doors and windows were wide open with no curtains, and anyone from the outside could see her. Lela wasn't one to care, anyway. Let everyone in Camp Liberty know there was a fiery Latina about to take everyone and everything by storm this year! Boricua pride all the way, baby!

How long had it been? Three hours? Four hours? The drive seemed longer. Since about five or six this morning, two teens from Sin City, Las Vegas, Nevada, set sail on the black roads of the 1-15S. Since early in the morning, well before the sun ever began to rise in the morning, two teens - a male and a female - set forth in a Red Ford Exploror(the 2014 make), and started to drive towards the place where a lot of teens in their age group(14-18) would be going. It was a place where they would be separated into six, colored teams: red, blue, green, grey, purple, and pink. The two teens in the Red Ford Explorer belonged to Green and Grey. This place was called Camp Liberty, and the opinion in the Ford Explorer was divided. One of the teens loved it while the other saw it as a bother.
"Can you believe that daddy bought me a car!? the female teens said excitingly.
"No, I can't. After that stunt you pulled last week, I'm surprised he--"
"Oh come on, Elijah! You know you enjoyed it too."
"And just what part of us making out was any form of enjoyment? You got too carried away, Adielle."
Adielle shot Eli a look, to which he sighed. "It was fun, wasn't it? Besides, Daddy never could say no to me." Adielle shot Eli a wink.
Eli said nothing. He still couldn't believe how dangerously close they came to actually fucking each other. How did it even get to that point? A few too many drinks, perhaps. And off the edges of Eli's recent break-up with a long-time girlfriend. Yup, that'll do it. Oh well, at least they only got carded for being a little too friendly. Still, Eli had to wonder exactly what kind of hold that Adielle had on her father. Sure, she was daddy's little girl, but his mind often wandered to areas of whether she had something else over him.
As Eli was about to open his mouth, he decided against it. He thought, in that moment that he was about to speak, he didn't really have anything to say. Besides, it would soon be revealed to his sight of the large camp grounds an estimated ten miles away. Even though that far, it was clear that the grounds of Camp Liberty was something special. Two hundred cabins on the large land. It still kind of shocked him how something like this could exist. Someone must have went to a lot of trouble to tear down so many trees to build such a spacious place. Whatever, at least he wouldn't have to be stuck with Adielle all summer. She was with Team Green, and Elijah was with Team Grey. Surely that meant they wouldn't have to spend every exact moment of their summer break with each other, right? Even if it didn't, a few days at max away from her would do him good.
Camp Liberty was getting closer and closer, but it felt like it was forever because he heard Adielle, who was helming the Explorer, singing at the top of her lungs to the song that was on.
Let's go all the way tonight No regrets, just love We can dance until we die You and I, will be young forever
Rolling his eyes, Eli was one second away from turning the radio off, but two things stopped him. Number one, he saw how happy Adielle was. And second? His phone pinged twice. He swiped his screensaver, which was a picture of The Riddler from Batman. When he got to his text messages, he noticed that two group texts from two different people. As he looked at each individually, it seemed that they were to the same group of people: Eli, Ari, Ash, and Ghost. A small smile curled on his face as he was about to type a response to both.
To Ari ETA 15 minutes. Don't hog all the soda this time.
To Ash Oh yes, great leader..
As he finished sending those two texts, Eli pocketed his phone, and eyes fell upon the sight of Camp Liberty. However, it seemed in his time of responding to those two texts from Ariel and Ash, time escaped from him, and they were nearly there.
Just as Eli was about to stop, the Explorer came to a speeding halt. "What gives?" Eli asked, looking over to Adielle.
"Left or right..?"
"I thought you said you knew the way? Wasn't that why you wanted to drive?"
"Get off my back, okay! It's been a long drive, and you've been sitting there all pouty-like. So, don't you tell me--"
"It's right."
"Thanks, Eli!! You're the greatest!"
Without a response back, The Explorer took to the road again, taking a right, and to the grounds of Camp Liberty they were. The first place they would stop at would be the Parking Lot, because apparantly that no cars were allowed beyond that point. Oh well, at least it didn't seem that they would have to walk that far. When it came to a stop, Eli found it that they were lucky to find a spot close to the cabins. As soon as the Explorer's engine was shut off, Adielle, got out, her smile wide, and a loud "Woooooooooo!" coming from her mouth. She definitely was chipper and happy. Eli sighed, but smiled. It was nice to see that Adi was happy. Quickly, though, he let that smile fade quickly when Adielle would turn around. He didn't want to let her see that he was smiling, not yet, anyways.
When Adielle was going to make her way to her cabin, Eli whistled. "What?" Adielle asked, turning aorund. Eli simply pointed to the trunk. "Oh right, our bags." she smacked her head, as if reminding herself of the obvious.
The trunk opened, and Eli still couldn't believe how many fucking bags of stuff that Adielle really needed. They were only going to be here for a couple of months, but it's like she just HAD to pack everything but her bed and TV. Seriously, there was way too many pink bags to two dim, dark blue, and black Polyester Rounded Duffle Bags full of clothes and other essentials he needed. Regardless, with the help of Eli, her bags would find their way in her hands. She had a a four luggage set which had three duffle bags of large, medium, and small sizes with wheels, and a shoulder bag.. How she could find the amount of stuff to fit into those made his head hurt. Whatever, she was able to carry it, so he wouldn't worry about making his head hurt.
When both had their bags over their shoulders, in their hands, Eli closed the trunk(Adi's hands were full), and they would go on their marry way to where all of the cabins. What sucked for Adielle was that they were on different teams, so that meant once they got to the part of Camp Liberty, they would have to separate, which was about in one, two, three..
"Looks like we're going to depart. See ya in the Main--"
"YAHOOOOOOOOOO! CAMP LIBERTY TEAM RED MOTHER FUCKERS!!!!" Suddenly a blonde male on a skateboad came flying through the air perpidictular of Adielle, giving her a mini-heart attack in the process.
"WHAT IN THE FLYING FUCK!?" The always happy, positive Adielle had nearly lost it. Almost getting smacked into another human being would do that to you. "Who was that!?" Adielle asked Eli, her voice raised, looking at him.
"I do believe that was Jackson Drake." Eli unsurely stated, right thumb and index finger on his chin.
"Right, I remember him. Wasn't he the one that you fought last year over a disagreement about his middle name?"
"Disagreement? Right, that's what it was," Eli smirked, remembering exactly what the fight was about, and it was a lot more than just his nerdy middle name.
"Well, whichever the case, we best be getting to our cabins. Catch you later, Eli~" Adielle gave her brother a goodbye wink, running her way off to the Green Cabins.
Smiling lightly, Eli would also make his way to the Grey Cabins. It wouldn't take him long, though, not compared to Adielle. Eli suspected it would take her a good ten or so minutes lugging around all of those bags. "Maybe I should have offered to carry some of her bags." Eli said, thinking on if he should have or not. "Oh well, too late for that, I suppose." he said, shrugging that off as he came in front of one of the cabins for Team Grey. As he went inside, he noticed a few of the beds were taken. Must have been Ariel and Ash's. Or maybe someone else he didn't see when he was trekking towards the cabin. Whichever it was, he claimed one of the top beds. He refused to be on the bottom; it just wasn't his style.
Okay, now he was off to the Main Hall.
Which wouldn't take long - like at all. Three minutes of walking, and he was there.
Eli pressed on the knob of the Main Hall door. He squeezed it in his left hand, turned it clockwise, and he pushed slightly into the Main Hall.
As suspected, it was full of people from all six teams. There were people from Red, Blue, Pink, Green, Purple, and then, when his eyes fell upon familar faces, he first saw Ariel who was seemingly unaware of her surroundings as always. Then, not far from her, he saw their faithful leader next to some other guy(probably Grey as well). He casually, hands in his pockets, walked towards his Grey teammates.
"Hey," he said simply, a little wave to Ariel, Ash, and the new guy as he would take a seat next to his team, resting comfortably against the cushion of the couch.

Alright, let me see. Today was pretty wicked. Uncle and Auntie let me fly first class to Los Angelas, and actually had a friend drive me about halfway to Camp Liberty. He would have drove me all the way there, but I told him I wanted to take in the breeze by riding my board. Nothing quite like California sun on your skin as your gliding on your board. NOTHING LIKE IT I SAY! IF YOU DISAGREE, I'LL FIGHT YOU BITCH!
-[cue clearing throat]-
Alright, where were we? Oh yeah, gliding through the roads of a lone street in California en-route to Camp Liberty. Let's see, only three miles away! Time to shift it into high gear!
Oh yeah, it's the fucking third year. Time for Jackson to fuck shit up.
The air in his face was a feeling that made him feel so free. There was nothing quite like the feeling of his hair flowing freely in the space of air behind him with the loud drums and guitars and key vocals of Headstrong by Trapt blasting so loud in his ears, thanks in all part to his red Ipod Touch, that Jackson never heard nor paid any attention to the honks from the cars that would pass him. He had little cares for his safety. He was riding in the middle of the road, then to the other side of the road, then to the middle again, and then to the opposite side. He was doing trick after trick just to gain traction. He didn't even notice that he was already here at Camp Liberty.
Oh and the weight of the red duffle bag on his back didn't seem to have any effect on his ability to glide through the roads.
Even though he arrived at Camp Liberty, he didn't slow down his pace. He took speed up, his leg hitting the ground as his foot allowed for speed to gain, and he took to the air. Soaring through, he nearly crashed into a female.
"YAHOOOOOOOOOO! CAMP LIBERTY TEAM RED MOTHER FUCKERS!!!!" He shouted at the top of his lungs, proceeding along to where he knew he had to go, which was the Team REd Cabins.
Jackson wanted to make sure that he got there quick enough to claim a top bunk. There was no way that this wonderful dumbass was going to get stuck with a bottom bunk. He'd rather sleep outside than do that. So, he made sure he hurried his ass up.
"FUCKING HELL YES!" And eureka! There was a god after all because there was a few top bunks left! He claimed the first one that he saw, placing his surprisingly heavy-as-fuck bag on it. It was pretty much saying "This is my bunk, so back off bitches!"
And like that, this guy was off, his board beneath his feet as he made his skinny ass to the Main Hall. Not long after he came bursting into the halls, did his loud voice announce his arrival. Everyone knew who Jackson Drake was. Everyone knew how Jackson Drake was. Everyone knew that, when he screamed like that, shit was about to turn up!

It took Adielle quite a long time to get to the Green Cabin. That butthead Eli didn't even offer to help her. Whatever, she proved that she was able to do it by herself, so she would make sure that he knew what a butthead he was. Did she forget to mention that Eli was a butthead?
As she set her bags on a bottom bunk. Unlike her brother, she actually didn't mind being on the bottom. It gave her a safe feeling, and it wasn't as unpredictable as being on top. At least then she wouldn't have to worry of falling down, right? Well, that's how Adielle saw it, so that was that.
Looking satisfied, Adielle left the green cabin, and took in the air of nature. "Okay, time to turn up!" she said, pulling out her phone. She took to typing:
To: The Girlateers! Please tell me you two are here! My doofus step-brother made me hurl my bags all by myself. Rude right? Well, it's his loss, right? I did it myself. Anyways, you two dolls better be here.
After she sent that text to her wonderful bffs, Jess and Ness, Adielle would make her merry way to the Main Hall. Seemed like everyone was doing that as she saw a lot of people going there too. Yay for likeminded ideas!

"Ugh," a light scoff grabbed Holden's attention from his spot on the carpet, clutching to a large duffle bag while music pounded in his ears. His mother had deigned to meet him and his father at the airport; their flights corresponded and, with no delays, she arrived at the same time he would be departing. They met near the security check, huddled with coffee in hand and music in ear.
"Any chance you have a razor in there?" she commented, giving his face a once over, "I leave for a client in San Diego for one second and you boys forgo any form of hygiene to look like mottled poodles."
"More like a grizzled bear," he heard his father mumble under his breath, twiddling his thumbs across his iPhone. He didn't take a moment to even look up to respond.
Grasping the carry on in his arms, Holden moved to let the embrace come to him and the curt peck on the temple. His mother frowned, setting her hands on Holden's shoulders while she gave him a once over. "I never understood why you insisted on this, but it's your last year, so make the best of it," she paused to catch his eyes, "understood?"
A nod sufficed and she patted him lightly on the cheek before rolling her small suitcase away, the clack of her heels muffled by the itchy carpet. His father followed suit, a muted wave of his hand - he didn't look up from the phone still clutched in the other. Typical. Holden frowned and took his time unlacing his shoes and dumping what he had to in the provided buckets. The rest, once he got his headphones back and his phone tucked securely in his pocket, went by without much conscious involvement on Holden's part. With everything paid for, he didn't have much to think about aside from the quiet beat pounding in his head and the steady rumble of an airplane that quickly melted away into the purring hum of a bus.
Things didn't change much from there. He threw his bag and suitcase onto the closest possible bed in the cabin, ignored the insistence of new counselors requesting he give them his electronics, and the lack of acknowledgement from the rest of the camp. The sudden hit from reality only came when Holden arrived at his usual designated area, a large oak tree off to the outskirts of the camp - closest to the one of the pink cabins. It took effort, as usual, to grasp his way onto the worn, low branch, but considerably less after having conditioned himself for his spring ballet sessions.
For awhile, reality sunk in for Holden and he let it. Resisting just meant the claws dug in deeper and the sun felt hotter on his skin. All he could do was ride out the inhalation of fresh, pine air and the ever impending doom of potential adulthood that lingered behind every last year's breath. Or maybe that was the Starbucks frappe.
Frappe or no, Holden's mind took a nosedive there. With the only option being a complete shut off, he closed his eyes and leaned against the steady bark, let it ground him, before the beat of the latest song sunk into his every bones. That grounded him further - whether in reality or his own mind, Holden felt too lost to differentiate. His head bobbed to the backdrop of a bass and his lips formed words that came unspoken. Any kind of music took Holden by the hand to guide him away from the stress of the world, his parents, imminent failure, the inevitability of student loan debt, and the always present condescension from other students that weren't liberal arts majors.
Having another person there to calm his mind didn't ever occur to Holden, until the spot on the branch not too far, and sitting a little higher from him, remained empty. The constant chatter of a young girl - he'd be the first to deny that aided in stabilizing his quiet meltdowns. Or the jumping, off-beat rhythm of another person trying to get some kind of response out of him. Though, at this moment, he'd take Nessa's chatter over actively moving - he needed to sit still if any kind catharsis were to be achieved. Maybe he'd text her, though that'd require actively doing something.
Waiting in painful silence it was, then.

"I don't agree with this," Daisy started her tirade like every other time Sunny shipped off to God Know's Where, California - who knew a state so famous could have a middle-of-nowhere. On some weird turn of events, both Daisy and Jacob had a flight to LAX where Daisy had a meeting with a prestigious client and Jacob just... wanted to follow. Like every other event, he thinly veiled this fool proof plan with: "There's a Tea Convention in town. Kinda like Comic Con!"
At least it fared better than, "There's a cat collecting convention in town." No one hated stray fur more than Daisy Morris; she refused to take him anywhere for a good three months.
True to course, Daisy saw right through this lie. However, she'd already started on one rant and wouldn't let up until she got the last say in. Due to the ever loud rumbling of a plane during take off, Sunny withheld putting his aids in and relied solely on the fact that his mother had excellent diction.
"Bunny, you never breathe twenty things that sends our kid ten trials weigh the lump phone," Jacob, knowing the routine, never once took his eyes off the Sky Mall magazine in his hands. He muddled his words, making it harder to actually know what came out of his mouth. Sunny squinted his eyes, trying to catch his father's attention by leaning forward. His mother paused, watching his movement closely with a furrow in her brows.
After a moment, Jacob caught on, gave a roll of his eyes skyward and signed, "I said: honey, you never agree to anything that sends our kid ten miles away from home."
"You suck at talking correctly. Sometimes I imagine you have a lisp, so I can tell people I have a normal dad," Sunny replied with an equally passive-aggressive roll of his eyes.
Turning to his wife, Jacob frowned. "He gets this from you."
"I'm just worried about him—"
"That's not a logical reply to what I just said."
"—there's a lot that could go wrong out there—"
"Okay, you're just steamrolling over me now. That's cool, Daisy."
"—it's in the middle of nowhere, Jacob. What are they gonna do if something bad happens to Sunny just because he can't hear as well as the other kids. Or his hearing aids broke. I'm not going to sit here in LA, leaning back in a cushy business class chair, sipping a goddamn martini—will you stop reading my lips?" Daisy cut herself off to snap at her son, making a show of propping his face on the back of a chair to watch his mother's mouth move. When he made no sign of leaning back, she took Jacob's magazine, rolled it up and smacked him clear on the head before unfolding it to cover her mouth while she continued speaking, "What I'm trying to say is that I worked my ass off to get to where I am in life, but I'm not willing to risk that for my son's safety."
"We go over this every time, Daisy," Jacob sighed, taking his magazine back to flip through the needless items. Sunny gave a swift nod to reinforce his father's statement, whatever it was. He signed the last part. His father cast a side glare in his direction. "Contrary to popular belief, they have working phones and officials trained for emergencies. If anything happens, they'll get help and call us immediately. There are quite a lot of kids that go to Liberty, enough to warrant special services to the disabled campers," he finished with a curt gesture toward Sunny.
"Hey, if I die in the wilderness, at least you can file a lawsuit and probably win out on a few hundred thousand."
Daisy made absolutely no move to respond, only smoldered her glare into her son's smiling face as they began their decent into Los Angeles.
To give her room to breathe, Jacob shoved Sunny into their rental car and made for the somewhat long drive toward Camp Liberty. It mostly came off as uneventful, with mostly small talk and Sunny eventually dying to the world in his slumber. Once they arrived, they gathered everything in Sunny's possession and Jacob embraced his son in a tight squeeze before grasping him at arm's length. He let go to sign while he talked, a bright smile on his face, "You know this talk. Don't do drugs. Don't drink. Don't party too hard. Make lots of friends and if you get a boyfriend, use condoms—"
"Jesus."
"—for both oral and anal sex—"
"Mary and Joseph." He didn't realize his father would go that far.
"—and don't forget to call your mother at least once a week. I'm only in LA for a few days, so she'll likely be tearing her hair out over meetings. She'll need the reassurance that her son isn't getting eaten by crocodiles."
"I'm not even going to acknowledge the geographical and biological mistake. Bye dad. Tell mom she's great. Love you both. Bye. Bye. Nope. Bye," Sunny continued on, grabbing everything in his possession and making his way far, far away from his father whilst the man continued signing sex ed nonsense. If his parents were happy (moderately happy; Jacob carried most of the weight there), then there wasn't much to worry about. Friends or no friends, this would be a year to remember. At least, that's exactly what Sunny hoped to achieve. Of course, being the sunshine he personifies, even if things fell short, he'd still consider it worthy memories and call it his best year. Hopefully. There was no losing that spark, but even Sunny knew that things sometimes got bad and sometimes got even worse. He'd try his best.
Maybe take that a step further, if at all possible.
Nathan was in the main hall, still stuck in the same spot as he was when Nicholas left for the lake. He sighed as people came in and started chatting with their peers and some left to go see if their friends had made it or not. While Nathan sat there, going through his phone until it chimed as Astrid responded to his previous text. A little tug formed at the corners of his lips into a smile as he started to reply back until some girl came up to him and started hugging him after calling him brother bear.
Nathan had the most confused look on his face and he raised himself up from his seated position to stand upright then looked at the girl. "Uhm, what?" Nathan raised a slight brow up at the girl while folding his muscular arms over his chest. "Who are you and why are you calling me brother bear?" Then it dawned on him that she was probably thinking that he was Nicholas. Nathan snapped his fingers then eyed her again, calming his tone a little bit. "Sorry. You probably think that I am Nicholas." Nathan muttered while walking back over to the couch and sitting down.
"He's down by the lake, I think." He pointed his thumb in that general direction. "If you leave now, maybe you have time to talk to him before introductions start." Nathan said as he looked at the girl again. "Well, guess I can introduce myself to you, now. I'm Nathan." He extended his hand for her to shake then locked his eyes with hers. "But you probably already knew that. And you are?" Nathan said then asked with another raised brow while waiting for her to respond. While she was responding, Nathan had forgotten about texting Astrid back and decided to do so now.
To: Astrid Most of them are and most of them aren't. You'll be alright either way. ;)
To: Nicholas Help! Some girl thinks that I am you!

Nicholas enjoyed the way the water felt against his feet as he did a splash here and there. The setting was a lot better than what it was last year and so was the atmosphere. It was much more livelier. He sighed softly after that brief moment in time then heard approaching footsteps on the deck behind him. A soft smile crept among his lips as a shadow blocked the light from behind him then a familiar voice rang out through his ears. It was him. It was Alessandro. 'About time.' Nicholas thought to himself then turned towards the individual with a smile.
"Hey there, Alessandro." Nicholas said just as he settled down to sit beside him. "I'm doing even better now that you're here." Nicholas winked then shoved Alessandro playfully while looking at him still. "And yourself, stud?" Nicholas asked him while now turning to look off in the distance. It was honestly no doubt that Nicholas liked Alessandro and always felt a very positive vibe whenever he was around. His presence was always welcomed around him.
"So, how do you feel about being back at camp?" He'd ask whenever Alessandro answered his question about how he was doing. Nicholas would lean back a little bit, resting his body against his propped up elbows. While relaxing and chatting with Alessandro, he heard his phone chime then looked over at it and saw Nathan's name pop up across the screen. It was even close to ten for introductions yet so why was he texting him? Whatever it was, he was sure it could wait.
Location: Camp Liberty (Clearing by the Lake → Media Room) Interacting With: Audrey @HushedWhispers, Ariel @HaleyTheRandom
It was the official first day of registration, and the vast majority of Camp Liberty’s campers were making their arrivals today. Going against the crowd as always, Sierra Jameson had arrived at the campsite the night before, coming straight to the woods as soon as she’d set foot on LA for the first time. She had managed to score the only single bed of the cabin she was assigned, and she had settled in with no fuss or setbacks before going to the cafeteria for some dinner. The past night’s weather had been pretty kind to her, and she begged the gods that the vast amount of trees around her would keep the temperature in the ranges she was used to.
She’d taken advantage of the strange fact that she’d woken up early and that the camp was pretty much empty and free of any supervision to explore what would be her home for the next nearly-two months. Wearing jean shorts, an Avengers T-shirt, black Converse sneakers, Sierra roamed the forest with no particular destination until she found herself at a clearing right in front of a lake’s edge. Sierra smiled to herself. She had found what would be her safe place to get away from camp when she became overwhelmed, and the perfect place to smoke without getting into trouble. Smoking sounded like a good idea now that she thought about it. It would help her relax and maybe, just maybe, even be a little less sarcastic around the sea of people that was sure to arrive today.
Sierra took a long look around her surroundings to make sure she was completely alone before taking her clothes off. She stood in the clearing with nothing but her underwear, but how else was she supposed to keep the heavy cigarette smell from her clothes? She didn’t ponder too much about it, though. Placing her clothes on the floor in a neatly folded pile, Sierra sat on top of it and took out a cig and a lighter from her small black messenger bag. She placed the cig on her mouth, holding it in place with her teeth, and expertly lighted it in a blink of an eye. Soon, the smell of nicotine had filled Sierra’s lungs, and she felt the nervousness and tension slowly blow away from her body with the smoke. Sierra quietly gazed at the lake, the way the sunlight illuminated the water, the bright blue sky with no clouds in sight, while a soft breeze played with her loose black locks. If her mother had wanted Sierra to spend her summer at hell, she’d been so thankfully mistaken.
Sierra’s quiet time was interrupted when the Kim Possible text message notification sound came from her bag, signaling the arrival of a new text. Sierra quickly got her phone out to read the message.
From: Audrey-boo Girl. The X-Box 360 is open and we have a few minutes before introductions. Tell me you're here! :D
Sierra smiled brightly at her phone. She’d met Audrey in one of the X-box 360’s servers, and they had become fast friends bonding over the games they played, the music they listened to and just the daily struggles of being a teen. In no time, the girls had added each other in whatever social media they had (which was just Facebook in Sierra’s case) and were soon having Skype conversations 4 to 5 days a week. Their friendship only grew stronger with time, and they both threw individual dance parties when they found out Sierra was going to Camp Liberty. To make things even more fun, Sierra was sorted into the Red Team, where Audrey would be the leader this year. It was obvious to say that, even though she’d miss spending the summer with her big sis Chloe or her best friend Joo, Sierra was beyond excited to finally meet Audrey.
Holding the cig in place with her teeth, Sierra’s thumbs flew across the screen, tying a quick response to Audrey.
To: Audrey-boo Fuck yes! Been here since last night. Gimme a sec and I’ll be right there. Can’t wait to meet you and beat your cute little gamer ass! ;P
Taking the last few drags of her cigarette, Sierra pressed the butt of it on the sole of her sneaker and threw it on a conveniently nearby trashcan. She made sure to cover the smell of nicotine from her skin with a decent amount of perfume before getting dressed, popping a few mints into her mouth and heading out to the Media Room. However, her phone signaled the arrival of yet another text while she was walking, and Sierra took a moment to read who it was from.
From: Ariel The Kitten Not The Mermaid
Guess who’s at camp, loves! Get your asses to the main hall PRONTO.
Sierra couldn’t help but chuckle at the words on the screen. Ariel had probably sent that as a text to multiple people at the same time, because there was no way she could’ve forgotten that Sierra knew she was at camp.
To: Ariel The Kitten Not The Mermaid We spent the whole night together yesterday, Kitty. I know very well that you’re here at camp. ;D LOL XD Anyway, meeting a friend ATM. I’ll catch you afterwards. PS: Hope you have a few hot friends you can introduce me to! I wanna have myself some intimate company while I’m here.
Sierra sent Ariel the message and continued on her way to the Media Room. She opened the room’s door and quietly looked around until her eyes fell on a familiar face sitting in the corner of one of the long couches of the media room. Sierra’s mouth turned into a Cheshire cat smile.
”Aaaaaaauuuuuudreeeeeeyyyyyyy!” Sierra shrieked loudly, making heads turn before tackling the unsuspecting long-haired brunette. The two girls fell down on the long couch in a tangle of limbs, with Sierra giggling. She quickly stood up, waited for Audrey to do so before giving her friend a tight hug. “Oh my God, I can’t believe we’re actually meeting after all these years of being gamer girl goals!” Sierra told Audrey, letting go of her to further examine her friend’s face. “And let me just say, you are sooooo much prettier in person.” She told her with a bright smile.
Emilie took in a deep breath of the fresh California air as she pushed open the door of her car. Long, bare legs swung out of the vehicle and as her shoeless feet hit the soil she felt a sense of relief flow through her. This place was a home away from home and she couldn’t be happier to be back. The drive had been extraordinarily long from Michigan to Camp Liberty but she’d given herself a week to do it and a whole list of things to see along the way. She stopped on the side of the highway just outside Denver, Colorado and lay on the bonnet of her car to stare up at the expanse of stars above her. She’d done this most nights until the chill got too much and she resorted to stopping at the nearest rest place. The sun had only just risen up over the high trees of the camp as she popped her trunk and threw her rucksack over her shoulders. The rest of the bags could wait until later when everyone else arrived and she could be bothered to unpack. She knew she’d have to wait a while until everyone collected together but she could occupy herself with a wander. So Emilie did what she was best at: she threw a soccer ball down by her feet and strolled aimlessly, keeping the ball close as if it was second nature. She made short work of wandering by the lake and skirted by the cabins, giving the occasional nod to people as they appeared. She knew plenty of the people here and although Emilie had her moments of selfish meanness, she was a very kind hearted young woman who just happened to like to get her way.
Her experiences at Camp had been nothing but positive to put it simply. She buzzed off social interaction and when the heat got too much she was totally down for seeing bare legs from the pretty girls. Some of the guys were hot too but they weren’t really her type. For a long time she pondered over the people around her and those she’d met last year. She wondered how much fresh blood there would be this year and her hopes rose a little at the thought of finding some new beautiful chick to make her challenge. She may have seemed self absorbed by pondering so much over the females in her life but she thrived from the chase. It was part of her competitive nature that went hand in hand with physical activities. “Thirty three, thirty four…” She whispered as she watched the ball bounce off her foot again and again. She sometimes had to remind herself how far she’d got because not everyone was great with numbers, right? Numeracy had never been her thing because all she needed to know was how many balls she could knock in to the back of a net.
When her phone buzzed loudly from inside her pocket and she finally checked the time she was surprised to see how much time had passed. She also noted she had multiple messages and instantly a grin spread across her soft cheeks. Alek was a very close friend of hers from the blue cabin and the two found it easier to make trouble. He was a brilliant friend and she had a habit of constantly fluffing his hair in an admiring manner. He was a handsome chap and if he could make her grin and abide with her mild bouts of hyperactivity then that was all she cared about.
TO: Aless-damnbro.
Hello my King. I’ve been venturing the land since dawn! Just kicking a ball at some trees. Where art thou?
She laughed at herself for a few seconds before scrolling to her other message. Her laughter changed from soft and happy to a sharp bark when she saw both the name and the content of the text. “Babe, huh?” She commented aloud before leaning back against a nearby tree and trapping the ball beneath her foot. Her and Ash had encountered some interesting interactions last year. She was exactly what Emilie liked: a hot challenge.
TO: Ash the Grey. Butt 9/10.
Oh hi sweetie. I thought you’d do better things than kick it. Still it’ll only be in your dreams…like I am usually. So yeah, I’m ready for whatever you’ll press against me.
After she sent the message she laughed to herself some more. Ash certainly was an interesting character. Not that Em wanted her like that at all. She was just…something to work towards. Speaking of things she had to work towards she decided that she could send another message. To Alex; the girl she frankly couldn’t stand in her own team so much of the time. Well she could stand her because that body and those eyes were something else but they didn’t exactly read from the same page. It was a shame Alex could be such a bitch.
TO: My hateful admirer.
You won’t have missed me but aren’t you glad we get to spend so much time together again?! Can’t wait to hear you chat absolute shit about your so called ‘sports’ again. Oh, and I have several new sports bras to wander around in.
After reading over the text two more times she sent it and placed her phone away once more. She’d occupied herself enough and she was sure more people had arrived. She could bump in to anyone but first she made her way toward blue cabin to lay eyes on home away from home once more.
Mathius Phoenix
Location; Red Cabin → Mess Hall Interacting With; @HushedWhispers - Audrey via text. @Cosmos Madison via sight. @Altered Tundra Jackson via annoyance.]
Mathius grunted as he pushed himself up off the hard ground then lowered himself straight back down. Push-ups were part of his morning routine as well as pull-ups, crunches and staggered sprints. Even if he wasn’t currently in training then he couldn’t let his body or mind slip. He had to keep everything on form because heck, looking this good did not come easily. His burly chest met the floor twelve more times before he moved in to a kneeling position and ran his hands back through his light hair. Slight sweat stains were visible on his grey shirt and without a second thought he tossed it from his body and headed back in to the cabin to find another. He hadn’t moved his stuff in until about twenty minutes ago and it looked like a few people had already settled. He finally settled on one that hung loosely around his sides and revealed his broad shoulders to the world. He was not bothered by exposed skin and never had been. Just as he made to step outside the cabin once more his phone buzzed and a soft snort escaped his mouth. He had a text from Audrey and it wasn’t exactly a smile that crossed his face rather than a smirk. He respected their team leader and he respected her long legs and looks more. Okay, perhaps there was more to her than that but he wouldn’t admit it. They’d had their moments together and he didn’t want to seem totally rude but he hadn’t thought of her in a while before he’d returned to camp from his whole year away back at home in Texas.
TO: Audrey. Red chick.
Sup. Yeah, got in to California last night but stayed at a motel then came in this morning. Cabins are looking sick as ever. You back?
He continued to text as he stepped out of the cabin and crossed the grounds towards the main hall. He didn’t know who’d be around yet and there were plenty of people he didn’t want to see but a few he wouldn’t mind coming across in the time being. It was just a way to occupy himself, right? Matt moved with a clear authority and swagger in his step. It just came with the territory he assumed he possessed. He by no means ran the camp but he wasn’t afraid to be vocal (and physical) toward other people to assert himself. Challenges were his thing because he’d never back down from them. Anyone that did was just a wimp and he hated wimps. When he neared the main hall he let out a heavy sigh, bothered to see how bustling it was. People were moving in most directions both inside and outside. He stopped, watching people come and go around him. . Then someone shifted and he laid eyes on Madison moving toward the hall. She was another of his conquests at Camp. She was sweet and good looking; there when he needed her for whatever reason but there were plenty more fish in the sea.
As he made to go inside he heard a shout and recognised the voice instantly. Jackson. Mathius rolled his eyes and tried not to storm right over to him and tell him how much of a pain he was – even if they did share a team colour. He’d never much adjusted to him. After clenching his fists he bumped by one of the people nearby and moved inside the bustling main hall to see if he could locate anyone worth seeing.
"Kris, you know I love you and we both know that you're the smart one but damn you don't know a thing about video games!" Caleb glanced over at the red head pouting in the passenger side, who was refusing to look over at him with her arms crossed against her chest - like a complete child.
The reason for such an attitude? They were discussing Assassin's Creed, or more specifically, who was the best Assassin of the series. Krista's points would've been a lot more valid if... well, she played past the third game. Caleb let out another laugh as Krista let out a loud, "hmph!" after being out-talked. This was usually how their conversations would go: after one banter they'd move onto the next, and while sometimes it would look heated it was anything but.
Hell, just before their debate about the best Assassin out of the series, they were arguing about the best juice box packaging. Yeah, definitely nothing bad.
"Are you sure you took the right way? The map says--" Krista closed her mouth as the car turned around the corner to reveal the opened gates into the slowly bustling camp site. Caleb manoeuvred inside, carefully parking beside another car before switching off the engine and looking over at Krista once again. He was glad to see the excitement on Krista's face rather than a worried, stressed look like from last night.
Caleb knew that Krista wasn't as comfortable in socialising as he was (well, now anyway). It didn't help that Caleb's been going to the camp since the age of fourteen, knowing many of the kids and staff almost like family unlike the redhead beside him. Giving her shoulder a soft pat of comfort (and getting a grateful smile in return), Caleb stepped out of the car to stretch his tired limbs.
Krista, meanwhile remained in the car to look over at some of the other people - some already gathered around and chatting as if they hadn't just not seen each other in a year. They looked comfortable, wanted, and Krista wondered whether she would even be welcome in such a close-knit camp. It didn't help that this would be Caleb's last year at camp, him moving onto college the following year and moving on with his life.
Away from her.
Part of her knew that this was Caleb's way of trying to get Krista to find more people to enjoy herself with, in the same fashion that Caleb was able to open up to others years prior. She knew he wanted her to be able to find something in this camp that would bring her out of her shell, and that was something Krista wasn't so sure about. Krista wasn't shy per say, too focused on her education to interact with other human beings were more like it. A rattling at the window startled the redhead out of her thoughts, her sunglasses slipping from the top of her hair down into her lap as she stared up at Caleb's goofy grin, realising he had been beckoning her to come outside this entire time.
She climbed out, apologising as Caleb brushed off her words with a flick of his hand. "If you reall' wanna help me, take your own bag into reception."
Another hmph later, the two New York buddies dragged their luggage into reception, standing in line as they waited to check-in. Their turn came a few minutes later and soon enough, Caleb Brady and Krista Hale were officially a part of Camp Liberty for the summer. Caleb pointed Krista towards the directions of the Purple halls, giving her a small, brief tour to and from the main points of camp (ie. the food hall, the media room, her cabin and his cabin if she got lost) before making his way towards his own cabin to unpack his stuff.
Location; main hall Interacting With; observing: hana, jackson, mathius although he typically didn't pay any mind to other people, much less those from other teams, fox's eyes swept around the room with a certain hostility one might only find in a royal blue - perhaps a red member, but not in the same way hostility was displayed in fox bellamia. he seemed capable of enormous leverage, cruel and unwavering, always wearing a conscientious expression yet imperceptible to those around him. even he was quite aware that he looked trapped in a dream most of a time, and sure it was half true. at present, though, he stared around the room like he owned it, daring anyone to enter and disrupt the mood, daring anyone to act out in a fit of attention-seeking vanity. this wasn't how he typically behaved. usually it scared people from doing much of anything useful around camp, so of course, fox chose to appear as neutral as possible when things needed to be done. he was far too expressive for his own good.
in a black-haired flash someone erupted through the doorway in a manner different from the lazy walks of all the other clerks. impatiently, fox stared at her, watching someone he recognised from years prior come through. hana, something or another, but he didn't care about her enough to remember her full name, nor was pink team enough of a threat to him that he should take comprehensive mental notes about her. nevertheless, her entrance was grand as if she was of the utmost importance. please, no flash photography, boys and girls. even from his great distance - fox was sat towards the front of the room, closest to where the main stage was presumed to be - he heard the lighthearted demand, and he gave a charming little laugh. he shot a contemptuous look her way, knowing the length between them would be enough to kill any harshness that read in his countenance, but still bothering enough to look hateful. it was devoid of meaning, although any onlookers might see it as a threat, which was no surprise if it came from fox.
yet another poppy entrance was that of jackson. or, as fox had recently learned and had a grand ol' time laughing about, 'torvald.' it reminded him of that misogynistic shithead from 'a doll's house,' the play by henrik ibsen, and now he subconsciously associated this obnoxious kid with the similarly obnoxious (if more fictitious) wifebeater. conservatively, as if he had to make up for the ridiculous show jackson was putting on, fox folded his hands in his lap and raised an eyebrow at the skateboarder, seemingly undisturbed by the amount of yelling echoing from such a skinny little blond. it appeared that perhaps jackson might not be able to hear his own unbelievable volume, considering one could faintly see that he was listening to an ipod (if you were quick enough to see him as he glided past), but that still didn't warrant any forgiveness for what fox quickly deemed 'dumbassery.' even still, he didn't bother calling out the kid. it's not like he could actually do much with their separate teams. fox did take note of a certain mathius watching jackson with just as much distaste in his gaze and thanked the heavens - maybe he'd be the one to knock some sense into the kid eventually.
OLIVER CASH
Location; main hall Interacting With;@lovely complex nessa & ash; observing: madison, ariel. just as he had on the bus that took him here, oliver scoped out the room curiously, taking in the sweeping crowd that grew ever larger by the second. if the attendees wore different attire, this place might have reminded him of the jazz age; almost everything was reminiscent of the high-class scene, with young woman walking in jaunty little steps and young men trying not to make a fool of themselves. music was playing, not in the room in its entirety but blasting from various headphones worn around different necks, and oliver followed each passing song with wide blue eyes. no one seemed to share exactly the same taste, it seemed - one boy was bobbing his head to hip-hop, another girl who traipsed on by had one loose earbud that released the voice of some unknown indie artist. it felt almost inappropriate to not be making noise himself. to relinquish the twinge of guilt that arose, oliver bowed his head, turning his attention to the twiddling thumbs in his lap.
minding his own business was not a feat long accomplished. oli looked up again, but only with his chin slightly raised, to watch the double doors. a girl with flowing dark hair came through, seemingly captured by her own thoughts, but he couldn't be completely sure of her emotions. her face was half-obscured by ray-ban sunglasses with a gold rim which, oliver decided, he could not pull off himself. he wondered for a fleeting moment if she was on his team, but quickly decided not. grey team was supposedly full of people like him, and this girl looked the complete opposite of an oliver. reminding himself to withhold his judgments again, oli turned his inquisitive gaze to the next individual that caught his eye. coincidentally, someone quite literally flew through the doorway, features at first enthusiastic before fading into something more shy. his thoughts went again to the question of her team, and by the looks of her clothing she could easily have been bunched with the black team but, oh, wait, that didn't exist.
watching as the girl meandered over, her face now faintly glowing with rosacea, oliver felt it necessary to move out of her way despite already being seated. the absent greeting she gave to those who surrounded her earned a small nod from oli, but she was already attending to the phone in her hand and her body language read something along the lines of 'not here to chat.' not like he had the guts to, anyway. oli wished he had a phone to distract him as well, but alas, as much money as his mother made, he had no use for a personal cell. in fact, he'd received a pager once he turned fourteen, which was embarrassing in itself. thank god that was towed away in his messenger bag. the impulse to check it every five minutes in case mother had sent him some emergency message (or, once in a blue moon, even his father) had crumbled after about seven months with the damn thing. he'd used it once in his lifetime, and it was because mother wanted him to pick up more tinned tomatoes. that was about as significant as things got in his life.
in all his inspection of this place, oliver had skimmed over a certain honey-haired girl toying with a flower. had he paid a little more attention he might've guessed she was the one who left the comforting message outside, with a cutely cartoonish bumblebee and a sweet bienvenue of her own, but he didn't. had he paid a little more attention he might have taken note of the fact that she was one of the rare few who did not choose any of the seats despite such a wide selection and, instead, sat happily on the floor. he didn't even pay enough attention to catch sight of her before she appeared directly in front of him, stooping to his level and revealing a very interrogative gaze. oli leaned back slightly in surprise and paused to take her in: her hair was reminiscent of actual sunlight, or less descriptive, a dirty blonde like his own. her eyes were dark and surrounded by rings telltale of sleeplessness. her cheeks were faintly rosy and her features, altogether, reminded him a bit of a bunny, what with the little nose and two front teeth and raised eyebrows. in spite of his shock, oli's lips turned up slightly, quite pleased by her presence.
hi! i have something for you. the smile faded slightly, and oliver briefly perceived this as some sort of a trick. he suddenly didn't trust this girl. maybe she was part of that fabled black team. hell, she was wearing nearly all black, wasn't she? but then her hand rose to reveal a dandelion, and oli's skeletal fingers rose hesitantly, like she would snatch the flower away if he was too excited. he took it gently, stared at the wispy florets at the top, and then back up at this strange girl. make a wish, but don't tell anyone! maybe it'll come true. oli widened his eyes, taking her very seriously. he was holding the flower very still, afraid the dandelion clocks would float away freely if he wasn't careful enough, and in fact wasn't sure at all what to wish for. liberty is a fun place to be at. i'm sure you'll fit in just fine. as she departed and her hand rose to wave goodbye, oliver quickly returned the silent farewell, pinching the stem in one hand while his free one floated and waved rapidly. what a curious girl! he stared at her back and decided to trust her. fit in. what an odd idea. it's not like he fit in very easily anywhere else, but then again, no elfin girl had ever entrusted him with a dandelion within ten minutes of his arrival before, either.
want to sit with us? oliver was immediately on his guard again, staring at the source of the question as if she'd just shoved him. he half expected the blonde to be back, but this was another girl with darker hair and no oversized blue-button up (which he'd apparently now assigned as a trademark to the faerie from before). no; this one wore much darker clothing, with a leather jacket adorned with zippers and jet black skinny jeans and boots that were both dull and shining. he couldn't judge her easily by the outfit alone, oddly enough. the juxtaposition of her welcoming inquiry and her not-so-welcoming appearance made his intuition do a double take. the 'us' in question, apparently, was the similarly black-clad girl from before, still taken in by her device. he remembered again the nervous look that one had given the room before taking her seat and decided these two girls weren't so bad. the name's aisling, by the way. you can call me ash. how very cliché, he thought, but didn't voice it. suppose mousey little boys like him are stereotypically called oliver, too. mind me asking, are you in grey? with that, out came her hand.
oliver looked at it like it was an intruder, and then slowly unfolded his legs from where they were crossed in front of him. delicately, like he would break ash, oli took her hand and rose to his full height, finding that he was - praise god - a measly two inches taller. his opposite hand, still clutching the dandelion for dear life, was held chest-level near his heart. "i am," he responded reluctantly, his voice hoarse from not speaking for hours on end. realising he was still hung on to ash's hand, oliver quickly detached himself, returning both hands to the dandelion. he began to move them towards the girl in black who ash had motioned towards, then looked back down at his newfound company. "i'm oliver. oliver cash. i... i don't know what to wish for." the cryptic statement wasn't directed at ash, but down at the dandelion in his hands, his face suddenly very earnest. oli was so focused on the thing that he took no notice of another male dropping into a seat with them, presumably some other grey who he had yet to meet.
