Home Island/Sea: St Laurants’ Isle,South Blue
History:
C L A S S I F I E D
Marxo is known by one other name only disclosed to higher-ups in the Marine Ranking. Although his crew doesn’t know of his last name , a few captains do. Vice-Admiral Laurant. The tyrant who single handedly caught more pirates than most his fellow marines. The story of his crew states that every crew he has constantly “dies”. In actuality, this was a story fabricated by the Marines in order to keep Marxo’s position a secret. To understand this you must first travel back to when Marxo first became a pirate.
Age 14
-Marxo was approached by the Marines for the crimes of desecrating an entire island. He was sent to trial and sentenced to life in Impel Down. After spending two years on the inside he’d decided pirate life wasn’t worth the trouble it came with. He then asked the Marines to secure a deal with him under the condition he’d never betray them . He believed in his strength so he asked to become a sleeper cell in pirate ranks. No one knew him as a Marine, only as the kid who killed his family and got away with it. His actual life would make the perfect cover up. The marines accepted his offer reluctantly and decided to keep the watchful eye of an Admiral on him.
For two years the Admiral trained him to be proficient in the art Jeet Kune Do , as well as Observation and Armament Haki, and the mastery of his fruit. Marxo became like a son to the man as well as a pupil. He helped him rise into the ranks as the youngest captain of age 18 . As most marines didn’t know his backstory(being covered up by their higher-ups) they accepted him as a prodigy. It was finally time to allow him a taste of freedom. It had been too long. He went from being trapped behind sea-prism stone walls to being brainwashed with the Esigna of Justice. All for some fresh air.
Age 18
As a free man (Marine) Marxo encountered many pirates crews. With the information the Marines purposely let slip he became a poster child for pirate recruitment. At first he’d play the role of the weakling begging to be under the wing of a strong pirate crew. He coaxed them to teach him the ways of being a pirate. Most crews never knew he had a devil fruit so it seemed the boy had just got lucky to escape the marines. This was a technique the Admiral liked to call trust-bond. He established one with Marxo after first meeting him taking him in as a son. He never let Marxo forget he was once a criminal though and if he ever had the thought of going down the same path , he’d have no problem instilling Justice onto Marxo.
It wasn’t long afterwards that he met the charismatic Nabil Valley on a sinking navy vessel out in open sea. What caught his intrigue the most was the rebellious appearance he held and the calm that seem insistent around him, even during that moment of imminent death. That was when Marxo decided to save him. Apparently Nabil was a pirate looking for a crew. He had hoped to find candidates on board the ship but instead found only ruffians and idiots. In the ensuing fight he lost his own small boat and irrevocably damaged the large one. From then onwards they traveled for a while, tempering a friendship through countless impossible situations. That was up until they landed on a small island and was invited onto a crew by a woman. What happened next would tear apart the five-year long friendship they had gardened.
Age 23
It all happened in a flash. At first the duo were talking to the Captain , and then the Marines attacked. In between Marxo had set off a secret alarm in his pocket. It had finally become time to catch Nabil. What better way to do so than to catch a pirate crew along with him.
The marines stormed the tavern leaving the young crew nowhere to run. Nabil began to fight his way out but was surprisingly struck down by his best friend of 5 five years. When asked why , Marxo repsonded, “ Justice Prevails Over All.” He then proceeded to drive a sea stone dipped scythe into the man’s heart , relinquishing the last of his humanity.
Marxo was born in the East Blue . His family had traveled to the South almost immediately after he was born. They settled on a deserted island and used the wildlife to live off of. His mother happened to be a master chef but not one of legend and lore. His father on the other hand was a hunter so this made the couple well adept to their surrounding. Within the first three years of Marxo’s life his parents had already tamed the island and renamed the newly cultivated place St. Laurant’s isle after his family. At 7 he was taught how to hunt alongside his father. it seem to come naturally to the boy. his first catch was a friendly panda shark whom his father told him to release back into the sea. After all his mother had no use for such meat.
At the age of 14 ,he met his first neighbors. They had also traveled from an island off in the distance. From first sight they seemed like nice people, but eventually more unwelcomes began to turn up. Marxo saw this as a good thing but his parents knew better. They decided to establish a hierarchy with Marxo’s family heading the pack. This was agreeable since they were the first one aboard the island, but one family had different plans. They wanted the St. Laurant’s lifestyle , or better yet their lives. So one day the cooked up a scheme to take out this new head family. Since the St. Laurants’ did all of the hunting and cooking the other family decided that taking the load off of them for a day would be the best way to trick the family. It seemed like a convenience to Marxo and his family so they gladly accepted the invitation. The other would hunt and prepare a monstrous feast for the now, small village and the heads of the village but inside of the meals that they could would be either sleeping or paralyzing powder. On the night Marxo was turning 15 . He could never forget this night. It would be forever burned into his mind. His parents had been gutted like fishes in front of his very eyes. They had received the sleeping powder while he the paralyzing one. He knew they never stood a chance but he begged and pleaded with the other family. They just smiled and kept cutting till his parents resembled carved turkey. He knew he’d be next.
Just as they made their way towards him , the powder began to wear off. He could feel the blood rushing in his hands, then to his arms , and legs. Next came the pain. Tears swelled up in his eyes , as he continued to play helpless. As soon as the family made its move he’d destroy them. The father began to untie his hands. The moment he felt free he took the chair his was once sitting in and slammed it across the man’s face. He then picked up a piece of broken wood the chair and ran it like a dagger straight thru his heart. He stared at the other two women with soul-less eyes. “Your next.”, he exclaimed as he rushed towards them both with the same piece of wood he’d taken the man out with previously. He stabbed the women repeatedly until he was satisfied and passed out from exhaustion.
A few hours later he awoke to find himself on a slave tradeship, along with his fellow neighbors. The boat was headed for the east blue. He would spend the next 2 years as a cook aboard a floating restaurant in the sea until his killer mentality got the best of him and he slayed the entire crew. Before deserting the emptied cafe he’d stumbled upon an odd fruit. Upon eating the fruit his body began to rumble. Marxo grabbed ahold a knife that began to tremble at unnatural speed. It then grew in size , becoming nothing short of a sword. He later came to find out it was the “Moa Moa no Mi” fruit. For the next two years he trained and study everything he could find about the fruit .He truly wants to learn how to fully control the fruit and manipulate it to help him become a pirate.
Fruit: Moa Moa no Mi: The Moa Moa no Mi is a Paramecia-class Devil Fruit that allows the user to amplify the size or speed of any object they touch.
More More Sanjubai Giri (モアモア百倍斬り Moa Moa Hyaku-bai Giri, literally meaning "More More Thirtyfold Slash"): enlarges a scythe to 30 times its original size while it's flying towards his opponent.
More More Jubai Soku (モアモア十倍速 Moa Moa Jū-bai Soku, literally meaning "More More Tenfold Speed"): increases speed to 10 times original speed,
More More Sanjubai Soku (モアモア三十倍速 Moa Moa Sanjū-bai Soku, literally meaning "More More Thityfold Speed"): increases his speed to 30 times his original speed.
Fighting style: Jeet Kune Do(Wing Chun)- not fixed or patterned, and is a philosophy with guiding thoughts. It was named for the Wing Chun concept of interception or attacking while one's opponent is about to attack. Jeet Kune Do practitioners believe in minimal movements with maximum effects and extreme speed. The system works by using different "tools" for different situations, where the situations are divided into ranges, which are kicking, punching, trapping, and grappling, where martial artists use techniques to flow smoothly between them.
Abilities/Race Traits: Kenbunshoku Haki, also known as Mantra (心綱(マントラ), literally meaning "Mind Rope") , is a form of Haki that allows the user to sense the presence of others, even if they are concealed from view or too far to see naturally.
Armament Haki
Armament Haki is a type of invisible, spirit-force, armor. When concentrated in one area the subject of its manifold turns black and sheeny, looking like obsidian. The most exemplary feat this kind of armament can employ is the ability to pass through devil fruit defensives. Logias included. Clashes between two armament users are usually decided by the strength of their resolve and physical abilities. Its not unnatural for someone with armament Haki to get beaten by someone leagues above them without the art.
Ship Position: Captain of the Sunny Massacre Pirates
The Sunny Massacre Pirates
The Sunny Massacre Pirates was founded by Marxo 3 yrs after almost joining his first pirate crew. He and his closest friend Nabil had stopped by a bar in town in the North Blue. They were approached by a younger woman and prompted to join but before being able to answer , the bar was bombarded by Marines. As they fought off most of the weaker ones a Lt. struck Marxo down. When he awoke he found his best friend was dead. The other pirates were being dragged away while he used a pile of rubble as camouflage.
On this day Marxo lost any humanity he had left. He vowed the person responsible would die. These just seemed like empty promises, not knowing who'd kill his friend so he took his anger out on those around him. Every village he passed through reeked of death as he slaughtered entire families. I didn't matter to him if you were Marine or not. No one deserved to live if Nabil couldn't . After a while other pirates came to fear and respect him. He began to pillage from other crews' , taking everything including members. The pirates dawned him "Massacre Marxo" and thus the start of the Sunny Massacre Pirates.
There is one downfall to being in this crew. Members seem to disappear without a trace. Some say Marxo killed them out of rage . Others say they just weren't strong enough to survive. Only Marxo knows the truth.

It would be the only was the world could live in peace..He thought of himself ...as a Revolutionary.
Home Island/Sea: Alabasta
History:
As a child Yami lived in the slums. He was constantly picked on by everyone else for his father’s misdeeds. At the age of five Yami witnessed his father kill his mother and then proceed to commit suicide. From om that moment he realized love was only a fathom of a dream. He was forced to live in the streets , using odd jobs to fill his stomach and empty trash cans as shelter at night. He was forced to live in such harsh conditions for a moment in his life. His eleventh birthday would be the day his life would take another drastic turn.
He met a youth by the name Yusei. He appeared to be sixteen. His eyes were a deep gray that swallowed the world before him. Yusei was currently standing on a street corner in the slums , spewing what seemed like nonsense about world change. At first Yami wanted to ignore the man, but something about the words he spoke resonated a feeling of modesty inside him. Yami stopped and listened to what the teenager preached. He seemed so knowledgeable . Yami wished to be like him but lacked the necessities for school, the main one being money. After Yusei finished his sermon he left as if he felt the job was complete.
Yami began to follow the man, ducking in and out of dark alleys and behind trashcans in order not to be noticed. This happened for a couple of days. During the sun-lit hours of the day Yami would listening to the boys’ words about change in Alabasta as well as the world. He spoke on how corrupt the kingdom had become since V.V’s reign had ended and how if the slums stood together as people they could overturn the government. The thought excited young Yami. During the night he’d follow Yusei as a shadow would its’ master.
The 4th night was a little different than most. Yusei decided not to take his usual stroll path. Instead headed towards Alubarna. This intrigued Yami as he’d never been to the capital. It made him wonder what kind of business Yusei could be conducting. He followed the teenager, hugging the shadows and deep trenches of the slums , until they reach the desert. Yusei then stopped and spoke, “ I’ve noticed you been paying a lot of attention to me young master. Are you curious or just plain stupid? Yami froze with fear. His mind raced with thoughts of how he’d been caught and possible escape routes. He arose from the shadows and replied in the strongest voice he could muster, “ I’m….I’m Yami….not stupid .” . He twiddled his thumbs as he stood awkwardly in front of his elder. “ I want you to…” Just as the words left his mouth two of the kingdoms guards’ interrupted. Yami had never encountered such strong and civilized people. His shook with fear as they approached the two boys. Yami knew they’d be prosecuted for trespassing outside of the slums.
The guards spoke , “ You kids know the rules. No trespassing on the King’s land. This offense is punishable by death. I think we’ll just lock you to up instead . Maybe the King can make good use of two young slaves.” Yami’s heart dropped at the thought of being a slave while Yusei turned and stared at the guards with an unconcerned look. “ I don’t have time for this. I’m going to say this once. Get the hell out of my way or parish.” His voice held such a commanding passion it dropped the soldiers where they stood. Yami also passed out , the cause being unknown. When he awoke , he noticed his setting had changed as well as his clothes. He’d previously been clinging to rags he’d had since 7. He was now covered in an all black robes and smelled of lavender. Yami opened his eyes completely to find himself surrounded by books.
“ A library ? What am I doing here?...Where’s Yusei?” There was a note on a table nearby.
It read:
Yami committed the next three years of his live to the knowledge of the world. The books’ consisted of vast knowledge from the past as well as locations and descriptions of islands never traveled. He constantly wondered what kind of man Yusei’s mentor was. Had he wrote all this himself? Was he a historian ? Maybe he was a world government official. That thought made Yusei wince. His father had been an official. He tried to justify killing his wife as Divine Justice. Yami prayed that Yusei’s mentor wasn’t the same.
The three years passed without a warning. During this time Yami read most of the day and spent the nights working out. He figured he’d have to become stronger as well as knowledgeable. The books taught him everything from being a doctor and recognizing diseases to cooking 5- star gourmet meals. He practiced in order to impress Yusei. He wanted to show his mentor how much he’d grown since the last time they’d seen one another.
Yusei stormed the front gates in a fit of rage. A mushi den-den clasped in his right hand. He was speaking to someone , a lot older it seemed. “ Why are you leaving me behind again. What kind of mentor are you?”
The voice was mellow and frail as it came through the transponder . “ According to you , you have unfinished business in Alabasta. You can’t leave that boy on his own...Look I’ll be back in a while. Till then train the kid. I have something special for the both you when we return.”
“ Damn you Traligfar . Return as soon as possible.” The transmission ended. Yusei looked upon the ground before turning to Yami and flashing a warm smile. “ He wants me to train you. With that being said did you read all these books.
“ The last page of the last book is missing. You knew that already. You knew I could never finish your challenge.” At that moment Yusei pulled the page from inside his jacket pocket. “ You’ll have to fight me for it.” Yusei smiled once more and replaced the page snuggly in his pocket. For the next two years from sun up to sundown they fought, only resting to eat and study.
One day Yami came over a book entitled haki. It was vastly detailed the way to obtain the three powers. He then made Yusei promise to train him in the art of Observation and Armament haki. He achieve Conquerors on his own. Yusei agreed . He began to have Yami mediate instead of sleep at night . Yami saw this part of training as useless at first , but Yusei was training him to observe his surroundings . He than began to plot on ways to obtain the page. Half of the final years went by. Yami concentration was that of an owl’s . He could sense anything within a 30 mile radius. He felt Yusei as he creeped around the couch . A slide kick would come next. Yami had learned Yusei.
During the year he found that Yusei was trained in Wing Chun. Through the many battles and a couple books Yami trained himself to sufficiently counter Yusei. He jumped to avoid the kick and countered with one of his own. Yusei dodged left as Yami’s foot crashed through the floor. He’d become so such stronger in three years. This made Yusei proud. He relaxed for a minute. Yami noticed the opportunity. He extended his left hand towards Yusei’s chest and stopped at the lappel of his jacket. ‘ The one inch punch. He’ll never see it coming.’ He then reached inside the jacket and attempted to pull the page from inside. Yusei noticed the attempt. He would indeed succeed if his opponent hadn’t been Yusei. The adult swung and hard right into the boys’ chest. The hand was covered in what seemed like a black mist to Yami. He flew ,spiraling into the library wall.
Yami felt his ribs compress against his lungs as he gagged on blood. He was slowly fading out of conscienous as Yusei approach him. “ Overdid it didn’t I. Oh well you’ll be fine. It’ll make you stronger. These were the last word Yami heard before drifting off. Yusei peeled him from the canvas . He placed Yami onto the couch nearby. As he settled beside him and began to patch his wounds , Yusei noticed Yami was clutching on to something his his left hand. As it open it revealed a blood soaked page. “ Well I’ll be damned kid. Guess I have no choice but to show you what I did to you now….You win.”
A few weeks later Yami arose from slumber. From that point he and Yusei rehabilitated his body. After a month Yami was in well enough condition to begin Armament Training. The next five months would be dedicated to non-stop rigorous training. After the last month passed Yami seemed like a natural. A fist full of knowledge in one hand , the power to make a change in the other. He’d now be 17. On the night of July 3rd , Yusei decided he’d take Yami outside. It had been 6 years since the boy had seen the sun. After all the compound was underground. They were just to do a simple run for goods in the capital but it all things don’t go according to plans. They’d been caught by the King’s Squadron and framed for the murder of a high noble. As the guards began to place cuffs on the duo Yusei went into attack using himself as a distraction as Yami made an escape. He immediately returned to the compound and never return outside.
That was until about a year later. This would be the faithful day he met Trafalgar Law who’d be waiting on the doorstep. As soon as he was let inside he requested Yusei. Yami explained to him the sacrifice the young man had made in order to keep his promise to Law. Law sighed in disbelief . He couldn’t believe something like that could happen to someone so full of pride. “ Fine. I guess you're taking his place. But on one condition. You return here and change the Island. Do it for Yusei.”
Yami nodded with reluctance .He’d spend the next 5 years under the wing of a legendary pirate, but not before Law remembered the present he’d brought. There were two devil fruit wrapped in cloth. One seemed as bright as the sun itself. The other as dark as Yami’s hair. He instantly grew fond of the darker fruit . He bit into the black fruit and felt a power surge through him like never before . His body began to meld into the dark surface of his shadow. Yami felt like a cloud in the night sky. “ I’m glad you approve. You're going to spend the next 5 years honing every ability known to the Yami Yami Fruit .
Yami returned to Alabasta to incite Revolution. He came as a storm of darkness that overwhelmed even the elite of Alabastian guards. As he cornered the King he could understand there wasn’t anything to bargain for. If change was to be made he’d have to do it himself. With this thought in mind and the death of his friend to avenge he decapitated the king and used his head to declare himself king of Alabasta. After all who would oppose him? His main focus became equality, making school free for all and evenly dispersing food. Money was longer and burden in the country because everyone was knowledgeable enough to balance finance. A couple years passed and Alabasta prospered just as Yami dreamed but He couldn’t help but feel that wasn’t enough. He’d changed a country. Maybe his impression was big enough to change the world.
He met a youth by the name Yusei. He appeared to be sixteen. His eyes were a deep gray that swallowed the world before him. You were asking me to teach you… Do you see the books around you? This is all of the knowledge I know , left to me by my mentor. If you want me to teach you I expect you to read every book in here. I’ll be back in 3 yrs. There’s plenty of food in the kitchen. Make sure to learn your way around the compound. Have fun. I know you’ve never lived in such luxury.
6 years later
Yami decided to pick a successor in order to travel the world and right the wrongs of the islands under tyranny . His goal was to unite mankind under one power.
