I spent the weekend doing birthday parties, karate classes, and the ever so enjoyable shopping (ick). -lol- the party was fun though, they had it at an arcade, and I got to introduce my son to the slick track. I swear, it's good thing it wasn't unlimited slick track, or we might still be on it. He loved the gokarts. Last week was something of a short week for me, this one, on the other hand, I'm looking at tons of time. O.o So I shouldn't be silent for too long this week. I do hate going so long between messages, I feel it loses something.

So we can go ahead and move to the next night, whether it be truly the very next day, or a few down the road, I'm ok with either.

Oh Cadian, how I missed you and your author! Welcome back, Jeff, seems you had an interesting weekend though, I did nothing but work and work and slum out on my couch again, but I did have company over this time so what hours of freedom I had, we binged on video games and horror films. This week is dragging out, or so it feels like carrying from the weekend. I'm so envious of you and your son, the last time I went to an arcade was weeks ago and we went bowling. Now, I wouldn't worry about time between our messages, I understand your concerns, but I know you wouldn't just leave without a viable reason and explanation. Aside from that, I have countless reserves of inspiration and ideas for this, I'm always finding music, photos and the like to keep my process fresh.

Oh my gosh, those songs, not to mention those bands. It has been a good minute!

I'll move things onto our next night and from there I think a few days will pass for our Halloween party. The character you recently submitted is the one to host it, if I remember correctly. Which I cannot wait for because Alexia and Cadian finally meet, unknowingly of course, but the tension is abound.

Yeah, I'm not running out of ideas either. The biggest problem I'm having is deciding which to implement when, because I'm excited about so many of them! I can't wait to get into the grit of it all. So far it's just character introductions... not much more than getting the feel of them, exploring a touch of the setting, but oh when they get going! I'm totally looking forward to adding Devin into the mix. He's going to be dangerous.

It's been a rather uneventful morning thus far. I'm on my 2nd cup of coffee, and haven't managed to get much work done here. I'm glad you found some time to relax over the weekend, I'm envious of that. I get a lot of busy time, not so much down. I haven't been bowling in some time. I'm not very good at it. We went a few years ago, as a work group here at work. I got up, the first frame, threw a strike... then proceeded to stink from there. Like totally. I think I ended up with an 80 or so. Not my best showing.

Coffee is the nectar of the gods... it's wonderful.

But yeah, ideas... I have some. Fights between Cadian and Alexa, because getting along all the time is just boring, some outside interventions... I'm thinking Cadian's connection to Devin is financial, like Devin is going to be a financial investor to his rise in popularity. Cadian and Danny's obvious conflict over Alexa, however unintentional it maybe at first, I can see Cadian egging Danny on later on.

But Devin's going to really spice things up. He's the criminal type. Like don't talk about him in the privacy of your own home, because he'll come to find out, and you'll end up swimming with the fish type. I'm thinking of, aside from the festivities of the Halloween party as we have them planned, running a second storyline during the party.. what happens in the house, and what happens in the basement. This man coming to greet his guests, dressed as a feudal lord, laughing and all boisterous.. then going downstairs during the party to 'deal with business'. then back up to the party, wiping blood off his hands as he goes... (Apparently, when I drink a lot of coffee quickly, my periods get out of control.....) Ideas..so many ideas...

So yes. excitement still reigns.

I've had a shit week, I'll be honest, it has me dragging my heels and severely crippling my mood, compounded by work and my personal matters bleeding all over the place. Just everything. Alexia and Danny are being wonderful distractions, unfortunately their pain is blurring onto my own and blending to the point where I'm having trouble separating them. I imagine I'll churn out my post within the next day or so, so no worries.

I've actually had this response sitting open in a tab and I feel a bit better than I did yesterday.

You know, I swear, I dreamed of Alexia and Cadian, in a situation that arises in a fight, like you mentioned. A lot of verbal lashes, cruel words that taunt, jab, spoken from a deeply seeded rage - not at each other, but the world - and it wasn't the first fight, but rather one that has been building up over time, situations, words, frustration and so on that had been built up and ends rather ugly. Alexia runs to Danny, Cadian runs to Yumi. All very dramatic...

That's excellent, whilst all the fun is happening, there is a continuous ring of events happening beneath everyone, none the wiser. It's wonderfully exciting to say the least, considering Cadian is bound to this man in terms of money. And money can cause a lot of problems.

I don't have any music today, haven't opened up any of my lists quite yet. But adding those to my collection for sure.

And thank you, I felt a change was needed for my set, so I whipped one up. I love your new one, very conceptual and appealing.

Danny's whispering in her ears, sowing his seeds of mistrust, trying to drive that wedge, while Yumi's complacency with the situation suffers. I can't imagine she'd be so tolerant as the time passes. But yeah.. day 2. Another night at Passion.

I'm feeling a bit better, week aside.. Well, it was just personal matters and ordeals, something I'm not the most skilled or adept at handling. Especially in concerns to matters of the heart, so we'll just go with that one for now.

Anyways, I'm off tomorrow and I'll be able to draft up our eagerly awaited second night at Passion!

I'll tell you, I've had one hell of a weekend. I lost three employees, like, fuck me. So that has been going on, then on this glorious Monday - bloody freakin' of course - I get a call that everyone dreads. My mother had a potential heart attack, so that has me on nerves, my brother has been blowing my phone up with text messages all morning and his fiance much the same because they got into a fight over it.

There's not enough coffee in the world right now.

I'm glad you enjoyed it. I had a bit of an idea the other day, and I wanted to set it out. I think it'll be loads of fun.

That sounds like the worst weekend ever. I'm so sorry to hear that. I do pray your mother is alright. Potential meaning they haven't been able to rule it out? If it helps, and I hope it does, I work with medical records, and I've seen thousands of heart attacks in them. It's got to be terrifying, and I can't say I really know how you feel, because who can... but I've seen a lot of people bounce right back from these things. I hope this is ultimately the case! She'll be strong and back on her feet in no time! Just keep the faith.

I can see that it will be, I have an idea of how I want my post to go, but Danny and Alexia tend to do their own thing. But I do know I want to build up to the party, considering it's our third encounter, or shall we move it back, allow some time to span between this night, and have one more night at Passion randomly occur that spurs some frantic emotion. I imagine, with Cadian hoping she'll return, and then Alexia not show up for a couple of nights, until she finally does, will be fun to do. Then we can pan to the party from there, Halloween in The Badlands, haha. And you can introduce your secondary character, and I'll have my hands full with Danny, Alexia, and Julian making his appearance with another character concept following him. The party is going to be a great arc.

Well, from what I gathered when my father called me, he said that the paramedics had hooked this machine up to her and didn't see any cardiac issues or nothing. But they cannot rule it out without more tests and blood work. I could hear her in the background in pain, so I'm not sure what all happened. That is mildly comforting, I feel like heart attacks happen quite often and people bounce back from them. But, my grandfather - it pains me to this day - passed away from a heart attack about three-four years ago. So, I think it spurred my family in a panic overdrive. I'm keeping my hopes up and entirely optimistic, because that's all I can really do at this moment.

An update, she just got home a little while ago, it wasn't her heart, but they don't really know what it was either. So I'm going to go see her tonight when I'm available. Hopefully it's just a one time kind of event..

And you're idea is great actually. Can do a post that just skirts a few days of looking, and not finding her. Build up the need to catch up to her a bit more. I think between us, it's fine, but I'm not doing such a good job displaying it in character. I started it a bit late, so that'd be great to rev it up a bit. And yeah, this party is going to be major!

They probably did an echo, checking for S/T wave changes (NSTEMI or non s/t elevated myocardial infarction). Not that they are always present in a coronary episode, but they are fairly common. They probably did a blood panel to check for cardiac enzymes, to see if any elevations are there that typically hint at the event. The good news is she's home, and I hope resting comfortably. I'm glad to hear it wasn't her heart, though. I'm sure they'll figure out what it was.

Wonderful, I'm glad you see the opportunity as I do! Alexia is undone by her draw to him, so this'll be a retreat of sorts, to run away and figure out what it is about him that makes her feel the way she does, without having even met him! It's maddening to her. She'll attempt to label it, shelf it, only to fail miserably when they meet. She'll appear up at Passion as a sorts of configuring that, with a few days in between, she can behave normally to his music.

They did a couple of blood panels I know, but they came back normal, thankfully. I took off for a couple days to be with her, keep her company and make sure everything is okay. She does have Lupus, and it's pretty severe, tons of medication and the particular kind she has can develop into cancer, so it has everyone on edge constantly, especially my father.

Ofcourse I do! I can't wait to get into Cadian's reactions about not seeing her. Some fretting about the fact that she's not there.. not that he ever quite got used to the fact that she was, but hoping she'd come around again, and then having them questioned by the fact that she hasn't been seen for a few times, it would just gnaw at him. A curiosity about her that he just can't explain or quite understand...

My week got exciting. The state, for the first time in a number of years, far longer than I've been here, gave out substantial raises... to some. Luckily I was on the receiving end; however, there were many around me who were not. There seems to be no rhyme or reason connected to it that I can figure out. Some hard working, long time employees got little to nothing. An employee in my unit who has a major attendance problem (She lost half of last years salary to leave without pay) got a raise to the cap (7%). Which she promptly went and shared with EVERYONE, which prompted some hurt feelings. The worse of it, management had NOTHING to do with it. It's the parent organization (Department of Human Services) who made the call. So they can't even give an explanation as to WHY. Not that any explanations would help, per say, but at least they'd have some sort of answer. A crappy way of going about it, in my opinion...

but hey. At least I got my 7% (silver lining). Aint optimism grand. The worst part of it was being around so many upset people. For days, my unit, which is normally quite lively and happy, has been filled with complaints, and grumblings, and this tense feeling of anger. Today feels better. Several just took off today to extend the holiday weekend. Hopefully Tuesday will have them at least in better control.

She's doing a lot better, actually. But I'm paying for my days off, I'm working doubles the rest of this weekend. I do have Monday off though, you have any plans for the fourth?

Hah, if I were in Cadian's position, I'd be wondering if she even really existed. Since she's only been to Passion twice and Danny is the only one who knows her, I can see him toying with Cadian if asked about it, trying to gauge why he's asking and what he wants with her anyways.

Well, at least you got yours? I know how that shit goes, but I mean it's out of everyone's hands, so there's not much to do about it. Which is shit, but what can you do? That's like, we're not aloud to ask for days off, but people request them for emergencies and whatnot, so it pans out. But some employees didn't get their fourth off and it's a lot of people trying to exchange shifts and a lot of tension and whining about it. Which I don't make schedules, so when they come to me about it, there's not much I can do but apologize and promise another holiday if I can push it for them. But it does add tension to the environment, and everyone needs to be communicative, and when they're pissed, they keep to themselves and snap when you approach them.

Yay work environment, bah.

Oh my gosh, I haven't listened to Hinder in so long. Maybe I'll download a few songs today.

By the way, on my post, I have it started but I figure I'll have it either done tonight or tomorrow night, one of those.

How was the 4th for you? I've always liked the holiday. Something about fireworks just puts me in a great mood. I feel like a child again. When I was younger, I got to do a lot of the setting off of fireworks for my cousin's and aunts who were either too young, or simply too busy to do it. They wanted to see them, but I liked the lighting and firing of them. Was always a thrill for me. Now that I'm older, I find I still like to set them off, even though we don't get as many. Sadly, the economics of it are harder to swallow now then they used to be. Fireworks = $$$

I really didn't do anything for the fourth, other than write. I've overshot my deadline for the intended post, but I found myself at least going outside to enjoy the fireworks the neighbors were happy to set off. I like them enough, but this is Texas, and just about every month or so someone finds a reason to shoot them.
