Location; Somewhere in the night School grounds My new home?
Interacting With; Drop-dead gorgeous roommate (@Altered Tundra)
Outfit while she walks Assembly 'First Impressions' outfit

Long, blonde locks bounced in a pony tail, as a young, pale skinned girl of sixteen quietly strolled on the sidewalk of a fairly nice suburban area. She wore black yoga pants, tattered red low top converse shoes, a white tee, and a baggy, navy blue long sleeved shirt. Strapped on her back was a brown leather hiking backpack as she hugged one of her customized drawing pads where she drew a detailed horse on it and scribbled words not many people could understand unless they knew her 'journal language'. The sun had yet to rise so it was still fairly dark but the lamp posts gave her some light. From a distance, by the entrance of a large park were faintly glowing blue ghost lights waiting for her. Her mother's elemental spirits guiding her to an academy she would spend the next eight years at. Would the school question her if she did not have her human family drop her off? She did not know. It's not like her family would have let her attend Olympus Academy anyways - what she was, would have been seen as heretical. They were ignorant, which is why now, she did not consider herself a daughter from the Underwood name. No, she was simply Felicity.

However, in the eyes of the government, her identity is known as Felicity Elise Underwood. The only name that has lasted throughout the years was and still is her first. She does not mind her middle name given to her by her Mormon mother, but her last name was something she did not wish to acknowledge. Hopefully, the academy does not share her whereabouts to them... the last time she saw her adoptive parents was two years ago. She takes pride in how well she's been able to avoid them like the plague since she ran away. The time has come where she can finally attend a school that will teach her everything she needed to know about her true mother and herself! Luckily, she didn't need to carry too much with her. That was what her magical chalk was for. When she would arrive at her new home, she would create a dimensional door that led to her hideout. Only then, she would be able to turn her bedroom into a comfortable study that dual roles as her bed chambers.

Before Felicity, or what she likes her raven to call her, Lissie, arrived to the front entrance of the park, a navy blue mini van slowly pulled beside her on the sidewalk. Something she knew was following her for about ten minutes now. A red-haired, scrawny looking man with sunglasses on - while it was still dark, mind you - rolled down the window and gave the pretty girl a smile, "Hey. You want a ride? It's awfully early for someone of your age to be walkin'." Her sea-like orbs met with his shades, but no words escaped her lips. Her gaze contemplated his face, before she lifted her pointer finger for him to give her a moment. Felicity was a mute, after all. Opening her sketch book, she went to an unfinished drawing of her's: Let's give him a gift for his kindness. Her face was extremely stoic as she swiftly traced her pencil on the pad. The guy in the car was tempted to get out and give her that extra nudge, "You know, if you're shy. You can do whatever you're doing in here." Her blue orbs lost the sweet glimmer it had an instant ago. No, they were dark and withdrawn.

After a minute, Lissie looked up at him and gave him an unsettling smile. The stranger became slightly alarmed and didn't know how to react to this silent, walking doll. Before he could say anything, she pointed her pad to his face - allowing him to get a good look at her art. The drawing had a poisonous, King cobra with it's mouth open, fangs out, staring at him. On the corner, there were words that said 30 secs, 5 mins. By the time she revealed her art 30 seconds had already passed and the deadly snake jumped out of the picture and into the car. For those who truly focused on her live art, one could see faint drawing lines on the almost real beast. The guy began to scream as the snake aimed it's teeth toward the man's exposed lips.

Felicity continued her way to school, when she entered the park she snapped back to reality. Maybe one day I'll have a friend to walk with me! So lonely. And no one is out.

6:15 AM

Arriving fairly early to the campus grounds, having spent most of her night walking, she silently, always silently, strolled under the archway of the big gates that led to her future. She was stopped in her tracks by a person of authority. The older woman looked approachable - to a degree, but then again so did many others. Staring up at the strange figure, Lissie tilted her head and waited for the woman, who had brown hair, melting chocolate eyes, a nice looking blue, business casual dress on, and a body to die for, to speak.

"You're here early. If I do recall, you're Felicity Underwood. Daughter of Hecate. It's nice to finally meet you." Lissie's face was bewildered with this sexy lady knowing all this information about her, "Don't worry, your reasons for coming alone does not matter here. In the Demigod world, 16 is the ideal age to break from the nest and find yourself, so you simply did what you had to do." She held a tablet and aimed it toward Felicity to scan her face. As Lissie's background information started flowing on the tablet, the beautiful older woman continued to talk with her red wine voice, "They call me Aisling Hawthorne. You may address me as Ms. Hawthrone, although I will be a Drake at the end of this year." Lissie's blue orbs gazed at the woman in admiration.

Ms. Hawthorne was friendly and tremendously motherly. Perhaps that's why she was the one patrolling campus grounds this early in the morning? The brunette held herself with confidence, but it wasn't like she was overbearingly cocky. To some people, Aisling could come off as intimidating, but her intimidation was simply because she held herself tall and looked like she wouldn't take anyone's shit - like a mother should be. Lissie's nerves calmed as the woman continued to ease the new student's tension, "I'm one of Artemis' older children, alumnae here, and Instructor of Understanding Beyond Your Cognizance. Fancy way of saying, I teach you how to observe and study your surroundings before making irrational moves that can get you killed." She let out a light chuckle and the blonde doll couldn't help but smile brightly at her new role model. She's gonna be my teacher!!! Someday!

Aisling's face softened, understanding why the young girl had yet opened her lips and say anything in response. Resting the tablet in between her right arm and side, the instructor spoke her next comment in sign language, "I can take you to your room. Your roommate would be more than happy to show you around when he gets here." Lissie liked this woman the more and more she talked. This lady knew sign language too! WAIT. My roommate is a he!?

In response, the young girl excitably replied with her hands (her drawing pad was in her bag now), "Thank you so much! I'm so happy to be here."

Ms. Hawthorne directed the student to follow her while she continued to bestow the freshman with information about the school - like how Lissie would have to make an introduction in front of the entire student body during assembly. SAY WHAT?!
~

The campus for the most part was empty as the morning sun slowly made it's way in the sky. After an hour or so - what was time? - Lissie had gotten settled into her new apartment. She would spend the next year in Room 4-F with a guy named: Dante Belmont. He had a unique name. She liked unique things. Within this hour, she had drawn a small door inside her closet with her magical chalk and once she was done tracing it, a wooden door that was around her height appeared (hidden). For now, she was going to get a good idea of her room and draw furniture like bookshelves that would last as long as she needed them. Well, until someone disbelieved her art magic.

Since she was still learning the tricks of her trade, her art drawings were only 80 percent real, which meant there was a 20 percent chance for everything she drew to go poof! That's why the more understanding she had on her subject, the better chance her drawings can be everlasting. Unless she specifies a shorter time.

Within this hour, somehow, she was able to create a disorganized mess of wooden furniture for her books, parchment, candles, magical supplies she had yet to use, leaving little to no room by her bed. After today's events, she would start bringing as many things as she can from her warehouse to her bedroom to hopefully make it look a little something like the cluttered study she envisioned in her head. But that would be for later.

Taking a break from all the drawing, Lissie took it upon herself to have a nice, warm shower. Five minutes tops. There was too much to do to take a long shower! Plus, from what Ms. Hawthorne said, the Spartan Race could get messy. Going back into her room, wrapped in a raggedy towel, she pranced into her closet and to her hideout. There she grabbed a dress she was given for her 14th birthday. It still fit her! Trying to be semi-presentable for her big "intro" she dropped the towel to the ground and changed into her new outfit. Once she was all ready to go, she decided to pack her previous outfit in her bag so that she may change back into it for the wild race! So excited!!! I can't wait. I wanna see what everyone can do. My team is so gonna kick butt!

Her eyes widened when she heard the door open from back in the apartment. Quietly, she scurried out of her warehouse, out of her closet, and back into her bedroom. After closing the door, Lissie grabbed her drawing pad, pencil, and poked her head out of her room to see the mysterious appearance of her roommate. Tiptoeing out, she watched as he looked everywhere but the direction she was in, drop his bags, and sat himself on the couch. He was definitely older than her by a couple of years. His back facing her, her steps as still as a mouse, she found her place sitting right beside him. Whether he saw her go behind him and around the chair, she did not know, but she took the next moments to take in his face. Her heart skipped a beat. No, that was an understatement. Her heart flew out of her chest! He was... absolutely captivating. Her face was expressionless as her doe eyes looked at him in awe and wonder. Green eyes to make any woman swoon, 'hazelnut fluff' on his head she just wanted to touch, and oh-my-god his body. Lissie simply stared at him - not realizing how awkward this could be.

Location; Dorm Room 4F
Interacting With;

The dorm was quite chilly. It hadn’t dawned on Dante until he took a moment to take the air in. It felt nice compared to the warm weather outside in that hot sun. Dante knew there had to be a good handful set of Apollo kids that were eating it up. Inversely, he knew that the Artemis kids must’ve been in hell, since their affiliation is more nighttime in the sight of the moon. It always made him smile somewhat when he thought about those two kinds of demigods. Both had so much in common, but when one really thought about it, they couldn’t be more different. Apollo’s kin found warmth in the sun, but were at their weakest when it went dark. Artemis’ kin reveled in the night, but at the first daybreak, they were as exposed as a human babe without their mother or father.

Dante let out a small laugh. For some reason, that brought humor to his mind. “Thanks dad.” Dante briefly said. He stretched, his joints popping. A sound of relief escaped his mouth - a sort of squeaking relief. His head turned, and right beside him.

Alarmed as he was, Dante kept his surprise to himself. He observed this one. A little, frail thing she was. Blonde hair that was more golden than the sun itself. He examined what she had in her lap. A notebook? No, that’s not quite right. It wasn’t just a notepad. This was something more. Green eyes examined what they could. It was some kind of unique-looking sketchpad? Perhaps it was a tome. Those were large, and this girl did look to be the type to be weak in the physical strength area.

The next thing he observed was her choice of clothes. It was elegant and pure. Whoever this strange one was, Dante could tell already that she was one of those types that had a pure heart. Those were rare to come around. Dante hadn’t known anyone that gave him that impression right off the bat. Still, there was something he couldn’t shake.

Why isn’t she talking? Truly, that was something that made him think more. Even someone as shy as Dante was said some kind of “hello”-variant. Perhaps she was so shy that she was rendered speechless from her awkwardness. That was a very real possibility for sure. Dante didn’t think too much into it. She was obviously shy, and she was obviously his roommate. The proper thing to do would be to introduce himself.

But..talking..

Truly, Dante was at a crossroads. It was proper to introduce one’s self to another especially if that other person seemed a lot younger than you, but how he hated talking first. It made him feel totally awkward and exposed, much like an Apollo kid in dusk and Artemis kid in dawn. If he could help it, he wouldn’t be the first one, but something in him was telling the Son of Hades to make that initiative.

Um,” Dante spoke first, his voice stopping. He looked at the girl, examining her frame even further. His green orbs took the sight of her face. She was young-looking, but Dante couldn’t help but notice a sensitive expression. “I’m Dante Belmont, Son of Hades.” Dante said without even blinking. He felt his heart starting to beat from the anxiety of the moment. “And you?” Dante asked as politely a she could, trying to put on the least-alarming smile that he could. What he had on his face shouldn’t even be considered a smile. It was more of a slight, positive arch of the mouth. No teeth or anything - just all lips.

Dustyn Taylor Flint

Location: Tess & Abe's Dorm Room
Interacting With: Tess & Abe - @smarty0114@Altered Tundra Laurel via text - @McHaggis

Dustyn leaned comfortably against Tess when Tess threw her arm around Dustyn's petite body. She was happy that her friend took her joking personality with stride. "And this foul mouthed excuse for a demigod, is Dustyn Flint, daughter of Dionysus. Dusty, this is Abe, my roommate." Tess spoke, and Dustyn nodded, like she already didn't know all there was to know about the eight inch thunderbolt wielding Abe. Dustyn parted her lips to say something but caught the murderous look that Tess had given her and decided to play it safe- at least for a little bit. Tess went off to explain something about how organized she was and other things that Dustyn tuned out to, as she reached into her pocket and decide to respond to the text message that she had just received.

From - BABY DADDY
rave 2nite x

A grin spread across her face as she read the text she had received from Laurel. Though the two were not considered an official couple or exclusive in anyway, Dusty had a sweet spot for Laurel and if he had asked her to stop messing around and just be with him, she would in a heart beat. They were terrible for each other, but in the best sort of way. Sliding her slender fingers across the screen of her phone she sent back a text.

To - BABY DADDY
I'll be there baby xo

Pressing send, she shoved the phone back into the pocket of her shorts to look back up to the conversation that she had been missing. "Huh?" was all she managed to say before she was being swept to the couch and being sat down on one side of Abe. Dustyn's eyes gazed down to the boy's crotch, examining the scene and using her 3 years retaking geometry to judge if the rumor was correct or not. Abe wanted to get friendly, and his constant winking was making Dustyn on the verge of laughing.

Parting her lips to answer his question, she was interrupted by his phone vibrating and him responding. Being nosy, she looked at the screen only catching a glimpse of the text. She looked up at his face as he pressed send, to make it seem like she wasn't trying to be too nosy on his phone. She couldn't help herself. Looking to Tess real quick, she decided to speak before they could be interrupted again.

"Well, as Tess said I'm Dustyn, but most of my friends here call me Dusty." she started, leaning back in the arm of the couch, as she pulled up her short legs underneath herself in a criss cross pattern under her body. Finding a bit of nail polish on her toe nail to pick at as she continued speaking, "Tess has been one of my best friends for awhile now, so if you have any questions about her, you can just ask me and I'll tell you. Even real personal stuff like what gives her really bad gas." Looking up from her feet with a smile, she let out a laugh. "I'm just kidding, but not really." she continued, pushing a bit of her hair back behind her ear.

"Speaking about gas though.." she started, her brain running on several tangents as she spoke, "I'm going to use your bathroom and freshen up a bit Tess. I haven't got to do anything since this morning after the exorcism, and I want to look kind of cute for the assembly." In case there was any wonderment, Dusty wasn't asking to use Tess' things, she was just letting her know, so that she wasn't too surprised when she was left alone on the couch with her crush.

Dustyn was a good wing man that way.

Grabbing Abe's leg as she helped herself off the couch, she gave it a little squeeze. "I'll be right back, don't talk too much shit about me while I'm gone." she stated, sticking her tongue out slightly. She walked around the couch, giving a hard pat on the back to Tess, playing with her, knowing she was going to get her ass kicked by her later.

She proceeded to go to Tess' room, dig through her stuff, make a mess, and walk into the shower to freshen up for the assembly later.

Tess found herself at a loss for words as Abe complimented her and Dusty. And just when she thought she’d be done blushing. As the son of Zeus dragged them to the couch and sat them both down, she refrained from yelping in surprise. She most definitely had not expected that. Luckily, Dusty kept on her best behavior while introducing herself to Abe. Well, it was Dusty’s best behavior, so there was obviously much to be desired.

She realized after Dustyn excused herself, it was her turn to begin talking. Oh gods. Oh gods. Okay Tess, don’t mumble, don’t stammer, eye contact but not too much. You’ve got this, she thought, tucking a lock of hair behind her ear. ”Well, I guess it’s my turn,” she said with a nervous chuckle. ”I’m Tess. Well, I guess I already said that. But, well I’m a daughter of Artemis, which is weird because she’s a virgin goddess, but hey, I’m nothing if not a miracle. I’m from this really small town in Michigan which is in the middle of nowhere, and I like long walks on the beach, and I’m rambling,” she said, looking down at her lap.

Gods Tess! One cute guy and you turn to mush! Grow a pair! She took a deep breath and looked up, straight into Abe’s eyes. ”Sorry, I know I seem like a bit of a nutjob right now, but I promise, I’m mostly sane,” she said with a small laugh.

All the while she was talking, Abe kept a straight, slight curve of a smile. As he scooted just somewhat closer, the Son of Zeus laughed. “Don’t worry about it. Being sane is overrated, anyways. In this ever-changing world, it’s the ones who have a few screws loose that are the most interesting.” Abe openly stated, “besides, you’re cute when you’re like that.” Yet again the unknowing flirtatious Abe strikes. “As for myself, well my mom is a politician, so you could imagine how utterly dull that was.” The sarcasm was real. “Of course, I’m sure you know my father is the dick of all dicks, Zeus. Mr. Lightning Bolt, Mr. If-I-Can’t-Have-Something-I’ll-Cause-A-Literal-Storm.” Abe said that with the least amount of affection demigodly possible. “Hm, what else? Oh yeah, the 90s and 2000s rock. Anyone who says otherwise is probably dull as an overused nail.” he said. He placed his back against the couch, letting the cushion absorb his body weight. He did look towards Tess, though. “So, Dusty’s quite the character, huh?” Abe asked nonchalantly.

Tess rolled her eyes as Abe mentioned Dusty. ”Quite the character? That’s being nice,” she said, laughing. ”She’s cool though, I mean, she was one of the first people I met here so she’s basically a sister to me,” she said with a grin. As much as she wanted to smack Dusty for how much she embarrassed her, she couldn’t help but find it endearing. ”So, tell me about this sister that’s coming over. Is she anything like you?” she asked, finally getting a bit more comfortable about her insanely flirtatious roommate.

My sister? Like me?” Abe suddenly burst into a fit of laughter. “I’m sorry, but she’s probably the furthest from being like me than one possibly could.” Abe might have said that out loud, but the more he was thinking about it, the more he was putting certain pieces together. The two of them were probably more alike than he would like to believe. “I mean, fuck, maybe she isn’t too different. We both suffer from anger issues when the wrong person is brought up.” Abe was now a bit flabbergasted. it was now sinking in even further. They weren’t so different after all.

Reeling from the sudden realization, Abe leaned forward from the cushion, and continued to keep his eyes upon Tess’ face. “Let’s change subjects.” Abe swiftly said, “have your eyes always had that sparkle in them?” Abe asked, unknowingly leaning closer to get a closer look at them.

Tess blushed as Abe leaned in. Just when you thought you had it under control she thought. Biting her lip, she looked him in the eye, trying to retain some of the confidence she’d mustered just moments before. ”I don’t know. Have you always been such a flirt, or are pretty redheads just your type? she asked, winking.

Oh hell. A wink? Really Tess? What is this, the 20’s? People don’t wink anymore, Christ almighty! She was screaming at herself internally, but she kept her face calm, not willing to ruin this moment just yet. I mean, she was literally centimeters from Abe Rothschild’s face, the same face she’d been admiring for the past three years of her life. She’d be damned if she let her nerves ruin that.

At first Abe was going to say something in response to that flirt comment, but he stopped for a moment. Instead, Abe got as close as he possibly could to Tess, his hand now gently placed on her outer-thigh. The sexual tension was so thick that you could cut it with a knife; even still some would still be left for the two to deal with.

You assume too much. It’s not just any redhead that gets to see this side of me, but ones who prove to be …interesting enough to warrant such compliments - like you, Tess Galloway.” Abe said, gently asserting his body over hers, letting the heat of the moment guide them. Abe stared into her eyes for just one last moment. The Son of Zeus was taking charge. His head was lowering, all outside noise becoming mute static.

Barging in with frustration written all over her face, her hair tied up in a tight, clean pony tail, Cecily growled, “Abe! You won’t believe who my--” Halting in position, she looked at the scene before her. Her brother was about to make KISSY face with some stranger. Although her face was completely stoic, there was obvious electricity in her eyes that made the color shift from hazel to golden in a matter of seconds. How should she react? Her brother was a flirt by heart and didn’t even know it. And here you have some nobody trying to get all cozy with him like she knew him. The redhead dimwit wasn’t even trying to get to know him. Says a lot about the girl, in Ceil’s opinion. Today was a fan-fucking-tastic day so far!

Hold the phone.” With a catastrophic storm brewing on her insides, Ceil closed the door not so gently, but not necessarily a slam either. She let unsettling silence fill the room before making her next move. Crossing her arms like a parent ready to scold her child, Ceil approached agonizingly slow with a serene smile on her olive skin face. Her expression could make anyone uneasy.

With her now golden orbs, she captured the green eyes of her brother’s roommate for a good long moment, letting her presence settle in. Did this girl have no idea who she was alone with? Obviously, she wasn’t the brightest woman to walk this campus. With a simple glance, she pointed daggers at her stupid brother making sure his damn blue eyes were looking at her and no one else. Her orbs was so tempted to turn violet, they probably were flickering with the building rage within her tiny body. When violet encompassed her brooding stare, that’s when people knew shit was going to get real. She would refrain from using any electricity – for now.

Looks like you got an easy one here, brother.” With obvious disappointment, she addressed Tess while still looking at her blood with a challenging glare, “It’s too bad you didn’t give him something to work for. Easy girls are quite disposable. Isn’t that right, Son of Zeus? The undeniable current between siblings made the mood escalate another octave.

Tess was in shock. She’d literally just been about to make out with the guy of her dreams when his goddamn sister comes in ranting and raving. Why have I been cursed this way? Why? And before she even knew it, the dark haired girl was calling her a skank. And granted, it wasn’t like she was being the most pure girl in the world right now but who the hell was she to slut shame her?

She stood up quickly, so she was standing face to face with this madwoman and looked her in the eye. ”I’m sorry, but have you ever heard of knocking? It’s the goddamn twenty first century! Learn some manners! Tess’s face was hot, and every decent part of her was yelling for her to stop. Unfortunately, her temper was at the steering wheel right now, and had the pedal to the metal.

”And another thing! I don’t remember you being my goddamn mother so who the hell are you to call me easy! It’s not like I’m sitting here naked! We hadn’t even kissed, thanks to you!” Tess’s voice was high pitched, and louder than a newborn baby crying for it’s mom, and she had no intention of lowering it. She was pissed. She’d just gotten herself cockblocked by this nut bag, and she was looking for a fight.

Did this mother fucking bitch know who the fuck she was talking to? Rather than raise her voice, Cecily expression darkened and her tone was unusually calm, “You’re just upset I got your panties in a bunch, sweetheart.” The room was no longer at safe levels of emotions - nope, shit skyrocketed when there was two irrational women giving each other death glares. “That’s cute though, that you think you actually have a chance with my brother.” She gave a kittenish grin, almost daring the Artemis’ bitch to touch her.

As long as you’re his roommate, you’ll be seeing more of me. Do you really want me to show you the difference between Zeus and Artemis?” She brought her hands to her sides and the energy began to course through her body and to her hands, just waiting for this idiot to touch her. Her glare dared her to.

Fighters, back to your neutral corners.” Abe cut between his sister and roommate, even if he had to forcibly nudge his way between them.

He didn’t like what was happening. Both of them equally as hotheaded (from what he was forced to observe, that was). Cecily came in without even knocking and starting going off on Tess like she was a jealous girlfriend or something. First off, nothing happened - well, granted something would’ve happened if Cecily had arrived a moment or two later, but still! Abe was the one who initiated it, so why isn’t she going off on him?

Abe sighed, looking at both his sister and roommate, each arm keeping them an arm’s length away from each other. He had his left hand pressed against Cecily’s chest and his right hand against Tess’. His head kept on going back and forth to them, making sure they weren’t going to maul him for trying to keep the peace.

This is a bit much, isn’t it, Cecily? I mean, even for you, this was a bit over-the-top. You came in here at my request, so maybe i should have controlled myself--” Abe then looked to Tess, “my apologies for that.” he went back to Cecily,”--but that still doesn’t excuse this, Cecily. You acted like a jealous girlfriend - not my sister. I..don’t even know what to say to you right now.” Abe said, a tone of disappointment in his voice.

Although his tone and words did pierce her heart, she wouldn’t show that. Instead she returned the favor by looking at him with matching disappointment, “You’re just like him.” she muttered. Slapping her brother’s hand off of her, she shook her head, “I’ll go tell someone else about what Price did to me. I’ll talk to you later.” With that, she left the room, quieter than she entered.

That hit him hard. Abe felt it travel through his body like a snake that was priming towards its pray to strike with its venomous teeth. It hit so hard and so fast that Abe found himself balling his hands into fists, teeth starting to grit so hard that one could feel them getting duller and duller each time he did it.

Abe wanted to go after her, yell in her face, do everything that Zeus was telling him to do, but he knew he shouldn't. That would prove Cecily right. That would make her words have some truth to them. He wouldn’t act out of anger. He had to calm down, so he literally took a seat on the couch behind him, but that didn’t mean that the anger had gone down. He just needed to let time pass, but fuck if it wasn’t hard because he felt as if he was one more nudge before going nuclear.

Fuck, fuck, fucking FUCK!” Abe said through his gritting teeth, rage staying at a steady hazardous high.

Clueless as one could be during the fighting match that had occurred just outside the bathroom door, Dustyn emerged out with her hair wrapped up in one of the towels she found on the rack inside the bathroom. It may or may not have been decorative, but this was of no concern.

”You guys have some of the nicest pipes this side of campus.” she chirped, obvlious to her surroundings and the angry face that was spread across Abe’s handsome mug. ”I hope you guys didn’t make out while I was gone, or that would be super rude of you.” she continued, unwrapping the towel from her hair and letting it fall on to the floor next to her into a heap.

Glancing up she looked between Tess and Abe and realized that something was indeed wrong. She parted her lips to speak, but decided it was best to keep quiet about this one, or at least wait until she could ask Tess in private. ”So, yeah. The assembly is later today, right?” Dusty asked, her thumb going directly to her lips as she gnawed at what was left of her thumb nail.

Tess’ rage was subsiding now that Cecily had left the room, but her heart was still racing. Luckily, her calmer side was regaining some semblance of control, and she almost laughed as Dusty came out of the bathroom, oblivious to the fight that had just occurred.

She glanced at Abe then back to Dusty. She figured that he needed some space, and she needed to rant about that bitch who’d totally ruined what would’ve been a very nice make out session. ”Dusty, I think we should probably go help you unpack. I know you probably have a ton of stuff,” she said, shooting her friend a look that said, Agree with me before grabbing her hand and dragging her towards the door.

Before she exited, she turned to look at her roommate, and waved. ”I guess I’ll see you later,” she said, biting her lip nervously, before leaving, taking Dusty with her and shutting the door. She let out a sigh of relief and turned to her friend. ”You will not believe what just happened. We’re sitting there, on the couch, literally about to make out, when his fucking sister comes in and calls me a hoe!” Tess exclaimed, waving her arms about and walking towards the elevator. ”And then, I yell at her, and he yells at her, and then she yells at him, and I’m standing there trying not to get electrocuted and also feeling very jipped because we were literally just about to kiss, and then she left and he was super pissed, and I’m angry,” she said, letting out a groan as she called the elevator up.

Felicity didn’t realize how long she had been staring at her new, handsome roommate. She listened to his voice as he thanked his father under his breath. Hades. Her sea colored orbs watched while he stretched and even let an adorable noise escape his mouth. Was she smitten by this man she just nearly met? She did not know, but she did know that she liked looking at him. He was a beautiful masterpiece - no one could deny that. When he turned toward her and finally realized she was sitting next to him, they simply stared at each other. Just like him, her expression did not reveal much of how she felt but when he locked his mesmerizing, newly cut, green grass orbs with her blue, her stomach began to flutter with butterflies.

When he finally addressed her, she took in his voice. His tone was comforting and like a welcoming warm bath after a long day’s work. With that being said, there was still a slight uneasiness in his timbre like the workload of his life weighed on him more and more as the days passed. Putting her pointer finger up for him to give her a moment, she opened her sketchpad and went to one of her older drawings of her mother’s sigil. Not hiding the picture from him, she traced her first name in delicate cursive with her pencil underneath the symbol. Lissie was not putting any magic in the object, she simply wanted to introduce herself without summoning Isaac, her raven. Once she was done, she turned her pad to him and gave the older man a shining smile and a nod that meant ‘it’s nice to meet you’. Putting her pad back down on her lap, along with her pencil, she placed both her hands on her soft, light pink lips to symbolize she could not speak. She was a mute.

When Dante saw that sigil, he recognized it instantly. It was of Hecate, a close friend to Dante’s father, Hades. He often remembered Hades speak of Hecate back when he was still living in the Underworld, often accompanied by him showing Dante her symbol of the three tridents behind a pentagram, and two lunar moons on both right and left of it. So, that would mean the frail, blonde girl that he was looking at was a Daughter of Hecate. Felicity was her name.

Still wondering why she didn’t speak, Dante observed her, seeing her hands on her lips. What was that supposed to mean? Was she trying to show him something on her lips? Dante had a mildly-puzzling look on his face. His head turned slightly to the side, blinking curiously at Felicity. Questions upon questions started to flood his mind, most of them best being paraphrased as:

What is it that she’s trying to tell me?

Dante liked to pride himself a bit in his abilities to observe and pick up on things, but it seemed he was lacking here. Maybe the surprise of her being next to him all of sudden played a part, or she was as mysterious as her Godly mother.

Are your lips alright?” Dante asked, feeling he couldn’t hold it in any longer. “I could get a cloth.” Dante would proceed to stand up. He made the motion to start to stand up, a grunt escaping his mouth.

With a silent sigh, Lissie grabbed his sleeve and gently tugged him back to stay. She shook her head to answer his question. Being stubborn, she didn’t want to have her go-to translator appear out of the blue and talk for her. Instead she let go of his sleeve and went straight into sign language, hoping he could put two and two together, ‘I lost my voice a long time ago, Dante.’ She had no idea if he understood the language but she would wait patiently. Her raven would be her last resort.

And with that, Dante felt like a complete imbecile. The signs were there, yet he did not read them clearly enough. Sign language he understood perfectly, but when it came to simply charade-like body language, he was as foolish as some of the jesters in medieval times.

When it finally dawned to him and he relaxed against the soft couch once again, Dante was mentally cursing himself for his foolishness. When he spent just one short moment doing that, meadow-colored orbs once again fell upon the golden-haired girl. Dante knew he had to apologize. While he did not feel anxious as he did before, again he was in the situation to talk first. He took a deep breath, and went with the flow.

My apologies. I am —” he paused briefly, looking into her eyes so that he could emote his sincerity clearer “—I am usually more aware of things like that.” he said. Dante ran a hand through his hair, noting an awkward undertone in his body language, but his apologetic eyes never left the sight of Felicity.

Giving him a kind smile, Lissie signed, ‘I should say sorry. I assumed you did not know sign.’ A faint blush fell on her face to show she was slightly embarrassed herself. ‘Sometimes I have my bird talk for me but I didn’t want to call him. Not until the Assembly.’ Her face grew pale with the daunting thought that she would be in front of the entire student body introducing herself. She hadn’t interacted with that many people in years and even when she did at parties, she was able to hide away somewhere, eat fruit and draw.

Bird?” Dante raised his half-curious, half-confused brow followed by a noise that hinted the same things. “I didn’t see a bird around, unless he’s in your room.” Dante scratched his head.

Brushing her nervousness away, she took the chance to ask him a favor, ‘When you’re free, maybe tomorrow since today is a busy day, can you show me around?’ Ms. Hawthorne did say her roommate would be glad to give her a tour, but maybe she simply said that because she had to.

Dante gave her a confirming smile. “Of course. You’re new, right? I mean, you don’t look like you’ve been here long.” Whoa, that was a lot to say, but Dante didn’t really notice. “I’d love to show you around.” Dante smiled again, but this time it was more of a friendly, welcoming smile to assure Felicity that he was genuine in his words.

I got here around 7 am! So, yes, I’m very new.’ she continued to sign. By now, Dante should realize that a smile was a usual sight on Lissie’s face. She was a happy-go-lucky girl and if she could talk, her voice would sound like a singing nightingale or at least that’s how most people imagine her voice to be. Before she brought her attention to her sketch pad, she directed the conversation so that he could talk more than just short seconds. She did love hearing his voice. ‘Mind telling me about the school? Pointers? Events? The people?” Once she was done, she grabbed her pencil and turned her pad to an empty page. With her fairly decent photographic memory, and this time making sure he didn’t see what she was drawing (yet), she began to swiftly sketch while listening to him talk.

Humming thoughtfully, Dante tried to think of what exactly she might want to know about. There were a lot of places on the campus that were noteworthy. There were the many shops, the buildings where students went for their classes, there was the assortment of gyms, a grand park where one could go to just get away from everything(that was in the northernmost part of Olympus Academy). It was hard for Dante to just pick a few that could get her interested. As he would look upon her face, Dante saw the eager look she had. It brought a smile to him.

Well, the campus has a lot of things for just about everyone, but my favorite thing above all else is Olympian Park. It’s ways away from the people-infested campus and shops. It’s beautiful. The meadows are filled with all kinds of flowers. It’s on the northern edge of the entire campus right near where the trees are. It’s a place where a lot of people can go to just think about things. I go there for the silence.” As he spoke, it was evident that Dante Belmont spoke with passion, with a genuine fondness for what that park meant to him. He might’ve not been a big talker, but certain things got him going.

Gazing up at him for a moment when he mentioned the park, her expression immediately filled with intrigue. Not only did her roommate speak with spirit when it came to this place, which was more emotion than he was capable of showing, he also unintentionally mentioned a place that Lissie knew she would adore. Was he a mind reader? Did he have an idea that she loved nature, gardens, and anything recreational really? Maybe at the end of their tour tomorrow, they both could go to the park.

Bringing her attention back to the drawing, she let silence surround them. All one could hear was her pencil working its magic against the rough paper. Not too long though, she flipped her pad so that it was facing and resting on her lap. She wasn’t ready to show it to him just yet.

Leaning in closer to him, she gently grabbed his right hand. Her hands were a tad bit cold but her skin was soft like silk. Lissie positioned his hand where his pointer finger was aiming toward the sky and the rest of his fingers closed toward his palm. She stared at him to keep his hand like that, hoping the message was conveyed through her eyes.

Going back to her pad, she swiftly flipped it over, brought it up, and held it in front of her chest. Finally revealing her drawing, Lissie gave a playful grin. The drawing was of his hand in the same position that it was in now, with a red, black, and white butterfly resting on his finger. Colors that she thought about when she looked at him. In the corner of the pad, it said 10 secs, 45 secs. 2 seconds had passed and the butterfly flew out of the picture (signaling it had hit the 10 second mark).

Fluttering in the air, the small butterfly slowly and gracefully made it’s way to his finger and rested itself on it. She would have drawn a portrait of his face but she thought this was a little less intimidating for a thank you gift. When time would run out, the almost real butterfly would return to the drawing and become 2D art again. Then and only then she would offer the art to him. For now, Lissie would watch him carefully.

Dante didn’t know what to do - well, okay, that was a lie. He knew what to do, but how to do it was another story. It was an amazing sight that he just saw. Something that she drew on that sketchpad of her’s came to life. Dante has only heard rumors of a gift like that. An ability that gives the holder of a magical pencil to literally animate their drawings. He thought it was only rumor. Note the surprise on his face.

Dante looked on as Felicity with the most amazed expressions he could. One would wager that he went from a friendly roommate to some drooling fan. It was astonishing how she was able to turn the usual facially-neutral Dante into someone who was widely smiling cheek-to-cheek. It was Dante Belmont was a little kid again. Who knew someone so much younger-looking than he was could make this kind of impression?

That was...astounding.” Dante finally said after a long pause. “How were you able to do that?” Dante asked. He was far beyond the point of being neutrally curious. Dante wanted to know more about her. It was rare for that to happen, but then again, Felicity is proving herself to be a rare girl.

Wanting to keep Dante interested in her and not ready to give him all the answers, she stuck out her tongue and signed, ‘A magician never reveals her secrets.’. She took the next minute to gingerly rip the paper out of the pad and give him the drawing with the butterfly, ‘It’s all your’s, roommate.’ Once the paper was in his grasp, her blue orbs twinkled charmingly, ‘Thank you for your kindness and I hope we can get along for the rest of the year.’ She did allow him to examine her pencil and drawing pad if he wanted to come up with his own theories (and see her other drawings).

And I thank you for your’s. I will cherish it always.” Dante smiled softly, making sure that he did not to wrinkle the paper as he would glance at his briefly. That brief moment, however, turned into a full minute of looking at it. His eyes could not peel away from the sight of how beautifully drawn it was. The detail was lifelike. Given what he just saw, it was not only in a metaphorical sense, but it was also in a literal sense. Dante never was this open and comfortable around people he barely met, but this girl made it easy for him to talk. He felt like he could tell her anything..

And yet, there were just some thing that should never be told to anyone for any reason whatsoever.

In that moment, Dante’s smile suddenly went neutral, his eyes going to the picture, but he wasn’t gleaming like before. A short huff of a laugh came from his mouth, and Dante slightly shook his head. He would get up. “I apologize, Felicity, I must get my bags to my room. So, I must excuse myself for the time being.” Dante said, giving his ever-famous feign of a smile.

His aura changed within seconds. The room felt rather heavy, like something entered his mind to make him want to be alone. Her worry and curiosity peaked but she would keep that to herself. They weren’t friends yet. Therefore, she wasn’t someone he saw as worth giving a piece of his heart to yet. Her gaze softened, her smile wasn’t as big, but she was able to nod and accept his desire. ‘I’ll be in my room.’ she replied with her hands. Standing up as well, she picked up her things and with her soundless steps, Lissie walked passed him and back into her room.

Alexander wanted to speak up against the Harry Potter. He always learned that you just had to stand up for yourself once. But he figured that today, the first day of school, was not a good day to do that. He just grinded his teeth a little and went towards his room. Which soon would be unmistakenly his. The staves he put in a corner, and he wasted no time putting away his old books. Put quite a bit of dust in the room. On his desk, he laid out every single item he had. It all ranged from keys to rings to wands and sometimes just a sack of cheap crystals. But to Alex, they each held great importance. He grabbed one of the many keys he had, and pushed in the door lock and uttered:

Signa quasi lapis
Signa ut glaciem
Sed ad unum
Quam ego nunc

The key in his hand vibrated a little. Satisfied he pulled it back out. No pesky roommate would get access to his room. Not unless he had the key. Not just any key that would fit. His key. He named it the Janus key, after the Roman named god of gates and doors. He didn’t really have a Greek equivalent. So Alex hoped his mother didn’t take too much offense at it. Putting the key back he turned around and looked at the room. For some old reason the old books, still filled with latent magical energies from their long deceased (or not?) authors. Most of the energies a person’s soul emits are personal and unique. A soul’s spiritual force is much like it’s DNA. But one thing all books infused with this spiritual force seem to have in common is that they attract dust. Like a power bank, dust just gathers around it and seems to stick to it. Even now Alex knew that he either had to clean often or just live in a dusty room.

Proud of his work, he threw himself on the bed with The 1ste Grimoire of Circe. A powerful witch from Ancient times. Even the first volume, written back when she was very young, was a constant goldmine of new arcane knowledge. He also pulled out his phone, checking for messages. He got one from Cecily.

To: Cecily
That bad? Want Gremlins to steal his socks?

One thing with Alex is that you can never quite know if he’s joking when he says things like: “Want me to summon a Nightmare?” or “Should I conjure a murder to harass her?” He could be joking, then again, he summoned a bunch of crows before. And some do claim they saw him talking a weird gibberish language to some strange miniature creatures. Alex made a point of never sharing fully what he could do. So he could always pull out a surprise from somewhere. And from all the items on his desk he could pull a lot of surprises.

Olivia grinned as she looked up at her dorm building from behind her sunglasses. The wind was playing with strands of her dark hair that hung out from the hat she'd placed on her head, one of her favorites. Her mother had bought it for her two years ago, while she was in Cancun. She took the thing with her everywhere, she adored it so much.

Her car was packed full of all her bags, and it took her at least three trips to get everything up to her spacious dorm room. She was rather excited, seeing as how this year, she'd have the whole place to herself. Sure, it might get a bit lonely, but the quiet would be nice. She remembered last year, rooming with a Daughter of Dionysus, the amount of partying that happened in there was far too much for Liv to take.

As she unpacked her things, the organized space quickly became cluttered with all manner of trinkets from Liv's travels. Tiki heads, shells, jewelry, paintings, you name it. As Liv moved throughout the dorm, it went from a tacky excuse for a living space, to a colorful extension of the Daughter of Posiedon, and she couldn't help but grin. She was a hell of a decorator.

By the time she was finished with her unpacking, it was nine o'clock. Liv had always been one to arrive early, not to mention that being on the student council demanded it. She had to help set up for the assembly, and so, surveying her work, she gracefully walked back outside, across the campus to the assembly hall. Most of the student council was already there, setting up banners and working on decorations, trying to make things to help the first years feel welcome. She grinned and got to work. This assembly wasn't going to set up itself.

Apparently Devlin was MIA, and in his time of greatest need too. Luckily, just as he was resigning too hide in his room until Gandalf left for the assembly, Birdie texted him. He grinned. Thank gods he thought, as he began texting her back.

To: Big Birdie
You're 4-B right? I'm coming over so you better be :P

Smirking to himself he strolled out of his room, and out into the hall that connected the other dorms. He was excited to have some contact with his friends finally. Spending the whole summer with his dad was a rather awful venture, and had left him craving human interaction that wasn't cold and awkward. He'd kept in touch with most of his friends via text, but if he was being honest, it wasn't the same.

Luckily, he was right next door to 4-B and he walked up to the door, knocked twice and entered. "Birdie! My darling! It's been far too lo-" he began, but stopped as soon as he saw that it wasn't just Birdie in the room. He gave the other girl an awkward wave and a smile, chuckling a bit. "Well, now that I've made things a tad awkward, I'm Webster," he said, eyes darting around the room. "Nice place you got here," he said, rocking onto the heels of his feet, blushing a bit.

Oh fucking hell no. Honey’s roommate (or at least that’s who Honey assumed he was, because he was presently in this apartment – though, in the second Honey has been in his presence, it wouldn’t be that far off to assume he broke in and is a sociopath but whatever) was very much a hulking stalking intimidating giant of a man and the small fragile Honey didn’t appreciate it one bit. Honey couldn’t tell if this Sanguine Son (anyone who nicknames themselves something ‘dark’ and ‘mysterious’ becomes eighty percent more pathetic than they were before – and Honey downright refuses to adhere to such stupidity) was joking or not, but he was steadily starting to hate his life more and more. It was only when a knife was pulled out that Honey realized his typical silence wouldn’t resolve such a situation.

“I, uh, er…appreciation your consideration and all, but, um, that won’t be necessary.” Honey mumbled, sitting up on his bed and cursing his inability to talk without filler words. Honey fidgeted, jumbling his hands into his shirt and bouncing his leg once he scooted to the edge. “Um, thanks, though.”

There was an awkward beat in which Honey messed with his phone, refusing to look up at his roommate. He felt a bit pathetic, pretending to text someone when his fingers just tapped uselessly above the touch keyboard – to be quite honest, his roommate probably could tell. He was just about to throw his phone across his bed, giving up the charade and facing the music, when a vibration tingled his palm.

From: the clingy one
How’s ur guys rooming situation? Bad as mine? 💩

Oh, so now she texts Honey back – though her timing is impeccable, it would’ve also been appreciated ten or so minutes ago. At least now Honey had a legitimate text to send.

To: the clingy one
dont use that emoji

Honey frowned once he sent the text. He really didn’t care to text out his roommate situation but if he didn’t answer he might be hounded about it – that sounded exhausting. Honey groaned in aggravation because socialization was so fucking hard and not worth it. Times were much simpler when it was just Ronny Honey had to care about. Ronny would never do him wrong like this.

To: the clingy one
my roommate is okay
hes v supportive of my aspirations and jams
*dreams
fcking autocorrect

Speaking of Ronny, the Angel sent from Heaven vibrated his phone and at this point, Honey was absorbed into the technology in his hand, ignoring his roommate’s whereabouts. Ronny was a blessing in disguise – honestly, it’s like he could read Honey’s mood. Hunter’s lip quirked down at the message, eyes glittering down on it like it was his own personal Bible.

From: puddy tat
Wanna test out the flat screen in my dorm's living room? I can hack into a Netflix account and we can binge Friends... while potentially getting high on pot brownies before the big Spartan Race. That sounds like a good idea right?

To: puddy tat
pls. my life is so hard. friends and pot sounds A+

God, what did Honey deserve to have such a great friend? Pot and Netflix? Nothing has ever sound better in his life, and that’s not even counting the brownies part of the situation. After the summer, it was good to have some time with Ronny too. Honey missed their peaceful silences and there’s been too much noise and people lately – chilling and high with no one but good ole’ Ronny sounded like a Good Time™.

From: puddy tat, dickface
PT: Room 4 - I the door should be unlocked. That’ll take a little. I can probs have it fixed in 30 minutes tops. No promises I won’t go crazy on the upgrades though. 💩

Fuck No. Fuck fuck fuck fuckety fuck fuck. This was supposed to be a chill. Ronny and Honey, Ultimate Best Friends, just chilling with pot brownies and Netflix and silence. Why the fuck. God damnit. Zeus, why? This is Ceil’s fault – if she had texted Honey sooner, he would have been distracted in his loving car, he wouldn’t have gone inside in a stuffy elevator, met his insane roommate, and agreed to Good Time™ in which a Laurel Price would be involved. God damnit, Cecily. God. Damnit.

To: puddy tat, dickface
wtf why is laurel fcking price invited

DI: Im always inv honey

Someone had it out for him – is it because he punched that alligator that one time? He honest to god didn’t mean to – and this was obviously a punishment or a lesson or whatever the Gods call it nowadays. Whatever it is he did, Honey had pretty much dug his grave so he might as well get high while laying in it plus his roommate is fucking crazy and might try to kill him.

Honey hopped from his bed and inched out into the hallway, texting out a quick reply so Ronny knew how displeased he was despite coming over. Best friend his ass.

Peter was jolly from the moment he awoke. His eyes flew open followed by the young man bounding out of bed. It was the first day back at Olympus Academy. Peter's excitement was not fuelled by the idea of spending hours on end listening to someone drone on about things he had no interest in, even if he found throwing wads of paper much more fun than a man of 21 should, nor the restrictions or having a large part of his time scheduled and controlled. No. Today a wave of new students were to join the academy. Young, doe-eyed and completely oblivious to the prankster within the academy's walls they were the perfect targets. May saw Peter's first day pranking spree an annoyance but, to Peter, it was tradition.

Dancing out of his room he passed his packed bags. He had his readily packed the night before even though he knew the hour he was going to wake up but he wanted to be ready earlier. The earlier he arrived at the academy the more pranking opportunities. Anyway, it took time to get that hair so perfect.

Arrive early he did. Peter was one of the first to arrive and was at his room in an instant. He dumped his suitcases next to the couch, him and his roommate can figure out who's sleepong where later, and ran around seeing what the room supplied, a devilish twinkle in his eyes. Eventually he found a bucket and took pleasure in filling it with cold water before leaving the room with it and placing it on top of the ajar door. Oh how he long to be standing in the room, tea in hand, qustioning his roommate on the apparent freak rainstorm in the doorway, however, he had a friend to meet and instead took the elevator done the building to the carpark where he awaited for Devlin, hands tapping on his legs.

"BEEEEP BEEEP BEEP"
A loud groan came from a mass of blankets, A popped out of the blankets and swatted the alarm clock. Devlin popped out her head of her blanket and picked of her cell phone to check the time. She moaned as she saw the time, a few minutes later Delvin sat up in the bed, She started to bounce in excitement as she realized that it would be her first day back to school as a sixth year. She made her way to way to the restroom took and a quick shower. She than hopped into the closet to get dressed, She came out wearing a Dark blue jeans, Charcoal shirt and red flannel collared shirt that she rolled up to her elbow. Devlin bounded toward the bed, Plopping herself onto the bed she put on her socks and shoved her feet into a pair of black and gold studded boots. She slipped her phone into her pocket, and snatched her satchel off the floor as took her leave from the room. As she walked into the kitchen and greeted her grandparents and cousin.

She kissed her grandparents, and followed her cousin to the car. As He drove, Devlin chattering about how she couldn't wait to start the school, and her talk of things she couldn't to do again or how she was going to everyone back kept the car ride to the academy amusing, even if her cousin had to tell more than once to stop bouncing in her seat. She couldn't help that she was excited.

Soon, they had reached the academy parking lot. Devlin gave her cousin a hug good, than grabbed her suitcases and bag and made her way toward the car park elevator. She smiled brightly as she recognized one of her best friends and her partner in crime standing by the elevator. She quickly rushed up to him, pulling her rolling suitcase behind her. She called out "Peter!" excitedly as she dropped the handles of her suitcases. She jump hugged him, wrapping her arms around his neck. She stood on her on tiptoes as she continued to hug him. "I missed you Trouble" she said honestly.

Upon hearing the calling of his name Peter offered his best friend a cheeky grin, spreading his arms ready to engulf his partner in crime. She jump hugged him and Peter wrapped his arms around her "Hey Devlin! You look great. Trouble, me? What gave ya that lil' idea?"

Devlin laughed at his question, and grinned at him. "Hmm, So your not trouble than?" She said teasingly, "When did you get here? I hope you weren't waiting to long for little old me"

"No I'm not, I'm the least trouble there ever was," he argues with a wink. "I even left my new roomie a gift! I got 'ere ur... 10 minutes ago? Twen'y mayhaps? Probably not that much. Now," he says eyeing her bags, "Let's get these to your room, then we can get to plannin' these first day pranks. I have some great ideas brewin'"

Devlin grinned as she moved to grab the handle of one of her suitcases. "I'm in room 4-I" she said as she made her way to the elevator. Feeling her phone buzzing through her jean pocket, she take out her phone to see a text from Webster. She sent him a quick text,

To: Kid Genius
Hey :)
I just got here, Peter is helping me take my bags to room 4-I.
We can meet there in a few minutes :)

"Looks like we might be meeting Webster at my room!" She told Peter as she walked into the elevator and hit the button for the 4th floor.

Peter followed her to the elevator, her other suitcase in hand, and lead her out the door, making sure to pass his apartment looking over it with a wicked glance. The door was closed and the bucket gone which lead to a mischievous laugh escaping his lips. Until he looked at the floor, no wet spot what so ever. He left Devlins bag and slowly moved toward it to inspect closer "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO," he yells dramatically, stepping backward and turning to his friend. Someone of authority, or some random at least, must be onto him, the bucket must have been taken down in a proper manner. "My first prank of the school year and my roomie's welcome present and it was ruined!"

Preston James McTavish

Location; 4-K to near Arena
Interacting With; NPCs Mentioned: N/A

Preston buttoned his cuffs and accepted a tie that one of his escorts handed to him. Looping it over his head, he properly tied his own tie—a technique that any grown-man who dare wear a suit should know how to do (at least in his opinion). Sliding the knot up to his throat, he faced the mirror to make sure it was centered before he held out his arms. An escort stepped up behind him as he slid one arm through one sleeve, and then his other before drawing the jacket over his shoulders. He faced the line of escorts that stood behind him—eight since two remained outside with the vehicles. Tugging and adjusting his jacket, he pulled his cufflinks through as his blue hues passed over each of the fine gentlemen that stood before him.

“You have no idea how hard this is for me,” Preston began. When he finished making his adjustments, he lowered his arms and turned his head away, his face scrunching up with dramatic emotion. His thumb and index finger rose to pinch at the corners of his eyes and keep the pseudo-tears away. He was about to relieve his only ticket back home. Well, actually he could always call a cab and high-tail it to the nearest airport, but still! Going from Utah to England was like riding through the River of Styx in a barbed wire canoe—madness. Not even first-class could spare him from the atrocities of human life. However, if he had to make a decision to finish out his senior year with a roommate or to return home as a drop-out…difficult. Really, really difficult decision, and at that moment, his heart was screaming for he knew already which option he was going to choose.

Dropping his hand, Preston kept his head turned as though to hide the sadness on his face. He held out his hand to his escort and said, “It was a pleasure. Send my father my regards, his son will at least be valedictorian by the end of the year.”

The first escort grasped Preston’s hand in a firm handshake and walked off. Then the second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, and then lastly…the eighth stopped and peered over his shoulder to make sure the other seven gentlemen had left before he spread his arms and locked his arms about Preston in an embrace.

“I’ll miss ye, boss!” the eighth man sentimentally exclaimed.

That had been the crack and Preston’s tears escaped him like a dam as he embraced the man back.

“I fucking hate you!” he cried, burying his face into the goon’s shoulder.

They continued to pat each other’s backs.

“Servin’ you was always a pain in me arse, but I loved seein’ ye happy!”

Breaking the embrace, Preston thrust out a finger toward the door and yelled through sniffles and whimpers, “Piss off already. Get the hell out!”

The eighth man wiped his tears on his sleeve and sadly turned to the door and saw himself out.

Preston turned back to the sink to delicately clean up his appearance. Just as quickly as the tears had come, they were gone as he wiped at his eyes with a tissue.

“Fucking knob almost ruined my suit,” he grumbled. If there had been a single wrinkle in it, then he would have brought his arse back and made him iron it out. Standing before the mirror, he turned his head left and right, inspecting the left and right side of his countenance before he tossed the tissue over into a receptacle and sighed. His dark brows lowered over his eyes in irritation. Another fucking year…

On campus, approaching the arena…

“Oh my gods, there he is!”

“Where!?”

“Look!”

“Oh my gods!”

The girl with blonde ringlets was clinging to a small lunchbox. It was held against her chest and she was practicing breathing exercises, much like a pregnant woman might perform to calm her racing nerves and heart. She was one of the Muses’s daughters, Maribelle, and her best friend and support, a brunette by the name of Beatrice was standing next to her with a hand resting on her shoulder.

“You got this. He’ll love it, don’t worry. You just need to confidently approach him, greet him, compliment him on his…well…everything! Compliment everything! And then present him with the cake you made him.”

(pant, pant!) “You make it sound so easy!” (pant, pant) “I might faint before I get there!”

“Just keep breathing. Come on! Hurry!”

Beatrice snagged Maribelle’s hand and the two girls raced over to the Son of Hera prepared to intercept him. Preston was imagining how boring and drawn-out the ceremony was going to be when he noticed a girl racing toward him. He stopped, and then glanced to his right and saw two more approaching him, and then looked to his left and saw two more!

Preston inhaled deeply and exhaled on a sigh as he prepared himself. As soon as all five girls came within proximity of him, they all seemed to abruptly stop and stare at each other in shock.

What is she doing here? one girl thought.

That bitch, I saw him first!

Maribelle was panting, but the sun was suddenly getting brighter as she stared at the Adonis. Suddenly, she felt light headed and he started to rise above her head. Preston saw the girl tumble and immediately turned to catch her in his arms to spare her from eating the concrete. Several of the girls gawked in disbelief and envy. She was faking it! She just wanted Preston to feel sorry for her!

Preston took a knee, holding the girl in his arms as she laid there, still clinging to the lunchbox. Opening her blue eyes, Maribelle weakly held her lunchbox out to him.

“I’m…I’m sorry…I just wanted to give this to you,” she said with cheeks flushing in embarrassment.

Preston smiled down at her and took the lunchbox from her hands. “Thank you. Are you all right?”

Maribelle was speechless upon seeing his gorgeous smile. He was so beautiful, and he was so concerned about her. Say something you idiot! Beatrice saw that her friend was in a fluster and quickly stooped down to retrieve her.

“Um, she’s still recovering from her dizzy spell. Thank you!” Beatrice quickly explained and just as quickly ran away with Maribelle.

“Where did those other bitches come from? We were there first!” Beatrice grumbled.

Maribelle staggered along, trying to keep up with her friend as she stared back at Preston. “I can’t believe I fainted in front of him.”

“It’s a good thing you did. He was practically holding you in his arms, girl!”

Maribelle shook her head, her blonde spirals bouncing about her shoulders. “Oh gods, don’t say that. He was just concerned that’s all.”

“About you!”

Meanwhile, as Preston returned to his feet, he glanced over the other three girls.

The single girl approached, “Oh Preston, I had such a horrible summer. I caught my boyfriend sleeping with a man!”

Preston arched a brow at the news. He didn’t hear that one too often. Reaching into his pocket, he removed his business card and handed it to her.

“Come see me later.”

“Thank you, Preston!” the girl ran away with the card, holding it as though it had been a golden ticket to the Chocolate Factory.

The other two girls seemed to have a greater dilemma. They were arm in arm and her friend was looking down at the ground as though she were too afraid to make eye contact.

“Preston, we have something to talk to you about when you get the chance.”

Preston frowned suspiciously at the girl. He was feeling an unsettling hunch. Like he did with the last girl, he handed them his card.

“I should be in my office by 11,” he explained.

The girls took his card. “Thank you, we’ll be there.”

Preston watched the two girls walk off and for some reason, he couldn’t shake the disturbed feeling he was getting off that one girl. Turning back in the direction of the arena, he followed the crowd of students that started to trickle in.

LOCATION - Dorm 4-G, Lounge

INTERACTIONS - Hunter @Apokalipse, Alessandra @Fabricant451, Cecily @lovely complex

There was a visible twitch in Atticus’ left eye as the tiny boy paid no heed to the titanic Sanguine Son before him. The hulk of a man was used to people cowering in fear or pleading for their lives, but this one? He prattled on his phone. The incessant tapping of the screen - that sickening tick, tick, tick – plunged Atticus into a deep seated rage. He didn’t act in his anger though, too baffled by this mouse in front of him. This was a quiet anger that waited patiently to unfurl.

The man’s hazel eyes watched as Honey finally got up from his bed and made his way out the door without a single word or motion of acknowledgment to his roommate. Once the click of the front door was heard, the carnage began. The wicked dagger in his hand plunged into Honey’s mattress, its serrated blade deforming and warping the fabric with every stab. Again and again, his hand hammered his weapon into the poor, defenseless bed while the waves of fury coursed through Ares’ son. By the time Atticus was finished, Honey’s place of refuge looked like a murder scene. The mattress was no longer a commodity for sleeping, now turned into a torture rack fit only for the masochistic to lay upon.

Content with his disaster, Atticus took a deep breath and focused, returning to his calm state of mind and returning his knife to its resting place. From his pocket, his hand fetched a tiny, eloquent notebook and a pen that appeared to cost at least a hundred dollars. He immediately began writing in elaborate cursive, inscribing a message to the mouse in his regal handwriting.

They gave you a faulty mattress. Call maintenance.
-S.S.

The Sanguine Son tore the message from his notebook and placed it on the obliterated bed before he took his leave, stopping momentarily by the living room to toss his belongings to the ground. Someone would be here soon on his accord to straighten everything up for him. By the time he returned tonight, this dorm would look like Scarface’s mansion. As Atticus exited his apartment, he brought up his phone and tapped out a quick message to his half-sister, Alessandra.

Dear sister,
I hope you are prepared to die tonight.

Love,
Atticus

The ominous message carried a strange vibe to it, one that didn’t quite make sense. In truth, his relationship with his sister was the quite the same; it was hostile and competitive to the point things were bound to get bloody, but Atticus had an overprotective vibe to him when it came to Alessandra. Hurting her would be signing a death sentence. Stowing away his phone, the man made his way through the corridors to find the nearest lounge, overlooking any that might get in his way. His stomach required sustenance that only Peanut M&Ms and Cherry Coke could satisfy.

The lounge was about what one would expect. Several tables were scattered about with plush chairs of a variety of colors sat around them. Two comfortable couches sat against the wall for the students' leisure. One of which was occupied by a single dark haired woman, sipping on a soda and apparently daydreaming about nothing. Her eyes blankly stared at the wall, but spoke a tale of sadness. If his memory served him right, that was Zeus' daughter: Cecily. He paid relatively no heed to her though, marching up to the vending machine and admiring the options presented to him. Scrounging through his wallet, he found a couple dollar bills hidden within the stack of hundreds, watched the machine swallow his money, and clicked his options. The Peanut M&Ms appeared without any trouble, but the Cherry Coke... The machine flashed SOLD OUT to him with its red LED lights. Flustered, Atticus had no other option but to choose the much inferior choice of Dr. Pepper. His hazel eyes flashed over Cecily and grimaced when he saw the last bottle of Cherry Coke in her hands.

Marching up to the girl, he towered over her and snapped twice in front of her face, breaking her concentration. "Normally, I would tear apart the person who took my prized Cherry Coke from me, but I assume you are ignorant of such things and spare you of that horrible fate, Daughter of Zeus." he informed her with tiny, cold smile. It was hard to tell if he was being serious or not. "Come. It is almost time to test your mettle in the Arena." With a tug, he pulled the woman up and began pushing her toward the doorway.

Location; Dorm Room → Parking Lot → Wandering Around → Dorm Room, Again
Interacting With; Unexpected Roommate -@Fabricant451
Mood; Slightly happy
As Skye was unpacking his bags, he heard the door click as it opened and emerged a girl. A girl? In his mind, he was thinking what the fuck but hoped that she was escorted a really gorgeous guy or something, at least. Skye looked at the girl and heard her comment as he raised a brow at her. "That well may be correct but I might have a complex that you may not know about. Did that even cross your mind?" Skye responded while going back to unpacking his bags as she continued on speaking. Skye rolled his eyes while hearing her speak as he looked at her with scoff. "No need to tell me that, dearie. I already know that." He walked over towards the female now and smiled. "Now, why don't you take your words of wisdom and go get my gorgeous roommate, yeah?" Skye patted her on the shoulder, turning heel as he finished unpacking and threw his bags underneath his bed.

"As a matter of fact, you stay here and I'll see if I can find him. I'd invite you but yeah." Skye remarked while pulling out his cell phone and headphones, turning on his Slacker Radio playlist as he walked out of the room. He couldn't believe that he had a female roommate. This had to be a sick joke or something. His mind wandered as he stood against the door that led into his dorm room. With the shrug of his shoulders then continued on walking out through the lounge and towards the parking lot, sitting on the trunk of his car now.

It seemed like everyone was in their dorm as the outside was kind of empty, just random people wandering around. He was still wondering if that girl was really his roommate. He'd just have to see at a later date but until then, it was time to just walk around to see what has changed and what hasn't. Skye wandered around aimlessly, looking at everything, scoffing at some things as he complemented in his mind what could've been done differently here and there. He went back over to the parking lot and back towards his room, to see if the girl was there and indeed she was.

"Ick." Skye said upon entering and staring directly at the female before sitting down on the edge of his bed, headphones still inside of his ears.

Interacting With; The Lightning Empress(@lovely complex)

There he was, the son of Zeus, alone. Head lowered nearly between his legs near his knees, and constantly reminding himself how much he fucked up. Slew of curse words, yelling to the skies as loud as he could, and nearly losing control to the point where his apartment would be reduced to ash. He was so livid. Not at Cecily. Her words might’ve hurt, but he could never stay too angry at his sister for too long. No, Abraham Rothschild, the son of a democratic politician and a Greek God was angry at himself for letting his words not passing through that part of his brain that decides whether or not it would be a good idea to say it. He didn’t take time to think about what he said. Instead, like his father, he simply did it because he felt like it. No, that’s not true. He didn’t feel like it. Abe just..

Oh fuck I don’t know! Maybe I’m like you, old man. Maybe you and I really are alike. Or maybe I got too much anger that I don’t know what to deal with.” Abe said.

Abe didn’t know who he was talking to. Maybe Zeus. Maybe it was himself. Whoever it was, he didn’t care. It was out there, and he had sttood up. He scanned the roof quite briefly. His bags were still in front of the door. Purple like grapes, and there were three of them. For some reason they gave him some added rage. His teeth gritting, and sparks of similarly-colored lightning began to crackle around him. That’s when he turned around.

As soon as his eyes came to the sight of the wall behind the couch, his right hand went flying through it. It was surrounded in his trademark purple lightning. When the fist had connected it, the surge of electricity created a shock throughout the wall, with about three extra feet of wall being destroyed added to the hole that was originally made thanks to his fist. It wasn’t enough to blow a clear hole across to the room next to his, but cracks were surely there in the foundation, and a shaking of sorts was bound to be heard throughout the fourth floor.

A few moments passed, and Abe looked at what he did. He stepped back. What did he do? He’s just like Zeus. Only Zeus would destroy something out of anger. No, he can’t be like this. If he doesn’t get a hold of his temper, the next target of his punch might be someone. It might even be Cecily. “NO!” As if a switched had been flicked, Abe knew he had to make things right, no matter what he had to do.

Abe pulled out his phone. He didn’t want to waste another moment. Going to his sister’s contact, he started typing.

To: Lightning Empress
Cecily, I’m so sorry. Let me make it up to you. Please. After the banquet, come to my dorm. Or I’ll come to yours. I’ll do anything.

He might have never groveled like that before, but this was a special occasion. He was a man who knew when to admit it when he was wrong - and boy was Abe Rothschild so in the wrong. Drastic measures had to be taken to ensure that his sister knew he was sorry. He was willing to do anything.

And I mean anything.

Abe heard a laugh in his mind. Zeus no doubt. He shrugged it off. Abe needed to ready himself for the assembly. So, getting his bags, he went to his room. He would unpack later. He simply wanted to get them out of the way. After that, he left his room, he left his apartment, and would take the stairs as he went towards where the assembly was going to be held at. If he had any luck, he might be able to forget about this morning.

Location; Queen's Lair
Interacting With; The Unexpected Roommate @HushedWhispers

Oh, this room mate was certainly not off to a great start and it had only been a handful of minutes. Avery could do little other than lightly chuckle at the words that came out of Skye's mouth; how wonderful, the prince - AT BEST - thought he could perform a power play on the true queen of the Academy. Lesser students have had their social lives ruined for such an offense; there's a reason no one talks about or to the daughter of the Gorgon's anymore and it isn't because of her dreadful hair style. But because it was the first day and because Avery relished the idea of having someone to mold over the course of the year, she was willing to let this one instance slide.

She even said nothing as Skye stomped out of the room, letting the diva have his little tantrum. There were more important matters to attend to anyway, namely the utterly boring task of putting her things from her bags to their space in the closet and wardrobe. But of course, she had to wait for the hired help to arrive, and he did, sweating, panting, but carrying the bags behind him. He requested a moment to sit and rest, but Avery shooed him on his way without so much as a tip for the gratuitous service. Avery swore she could hear the chauffeur cussing under his breath, but she ignored him. Hired help always had something to complain about and it always stemmed from a point of jealousy.

The most difficult part of unpacking was making sure every article of clothing was put up properly. She couldn't mix the dresses with the casual wear and the top drawer was for lacy unmentionables while the second drawer was for comfort; there was a system and like with any good system it took time, but it worked. Avery could've had her driver handle this task as well but the only one allowed to touch her clothing was herself or someone in the process of removing it from her...or her other royal family and court admiring her style.

It was when she was putting away her undergarments that her room mate came back without a word..it was more of a noise. Clearly he was unhappy, and that meant he was clearly in the wrong state of mind. Clearly. Avery shut the drawer of her dresser and walked over to Skye's bed, standing next to it with her arms crossed. After clearing her throat, out of both courtesy and so as not to come off as rude, only to be ignored, Avery took a drastic step. She reached her arm forward and yanked one of the earbuds from his ear.

"Here I was hoping your little tantrum walk would have soothed your mood, but I suppose that would have been too much to ask. Of course you have a complex, everyone here has one - everyone walks around with god complexes which would be humorous if it was not so pathetic. But you lucked out and you do not even seem to notice. Your position in this Academy is on the cusp of raising several notches just from association with yours truly...do you have any idea what that means?"

Avery didn't wait for Skye to respond before continuing her little rant. "If the fact that I have breasts bothers you I suggest you change your attitude sooner rather than later. If it is a boy toy you desire, you will have your pick of the litter; I have friends in places low and high but I am not going to be playing matchmaker for someone who thinks they have drawn the short straw. Let us get one thing straight, Skye Woodsen, I do not defecate where I eat and though I am offering to be your friend - a rare thing in these times - I am not doing so in some effort to sleep with you."

Avery crossed back over towards her side of the room, taking a seat on the edge of her bed. "Now you are either with me or against me but either way whenever you have a man over for a bit of alone time, keep it on your side of the room. I do not wish to sleep on a bed of your nocturnal emissions. We can be very good friends, dear Skye Woodsen, if only you look beyond the immediate."

One thing was for certain, Avery did so enjoy the sound of her own voice.

Location; The Floor of Her Dorm
Interacting With; Birdie's the Wordie (@sakurasan); Birdie's Birdy (@smarty0114); Big Brother, Not A Birdy (@Viciousmarrow) - via text

Alessandra was certainly right about one thing, Birdie Applesale was the one with the eyes. Well, everyone had eyes, but Alessandra noticed Birdie's straight away, even if Birdie hadn't immediately noticed Alessandra; though she couldn't exactly blame Birdie for that. Alessandra was, after all, plopped down on the floor as if she was about to enter mediation or something. The fact that her short stature decreased further as she sat made it a wonder that people managed to notice her at all.

"I know who you are, Birdie Applesale," Alessandra said without standing up, instead choosing to look up at her new roommate with what she hoped was a friendly gaze - though Alessandra's friendly gazes looked rather similar to her glares. "You're my room mate. I promise not to fight you. Unless you're into that sort of thing. Gecko-Roman style?" Alessandra's own eyes widened almost as soon as the words left her mouth, she had just, after all, invited her room mate to roll around on top of each other in the nude. "I mean, you know, let's get along?"

Alessandra's little faux pas was interrupted, thankfully, by the arrival of a second person, one who seemed familiar with Birdie. "Who are you?" Alessandra asked with a bit more intensity than was perhaps normal for a simple greeting. She came off as immediately hostile and just a tad protective, which was certainly odd. "How do you know Birdie? Do you wanna -"

Again she was interrupted, this time by the chiming tone of her phone. Looking puzzled for a moment before putting the pieces together, Alessandra took out her phone and read the message from her older half-brother. The message came with a somewhat maniacal laugh from Alessandra, though her 'maniacal laugh' was more of a 'cute giggle'.

BROTHER! THIS YEAR YOU'RE GETTIN' PUNCHED IN THE NOSE! ALSO PREPARE YOUR BACK BECAUSE I'M JUMPIN ON IT WHEN I SEE IT!

Alessandra had an odd relationship with her half-brother, at least it might have seemed that way from an outsider's point of view. Atticus was just about the only person that Alessandra knew who didn't laugh at her when she asked for a competition or a fight of some sort. Well, he DID often laugh, but it was more of a cocky sort of thing rather than a mocky sort of thing. The half-siblings seemed to have a genuine concern for the other, with Atticus being a bit of a protector and Alessandra seeing him as a figure worth emulating. They made quite the unusual duo, but conflict was in their blood and blood is thicker.

"Sorry, that was a dead man." Alessandra returned to Birdie and Birdie's visitor, still remaining planted on the ground. "Are you two gonna kiss? Actually, wait, you, Birdie's Boy, you can be the referee. BIRDIE!" Alessandra's voice jumped in volume as she jumped to her feet, "We have to decide who gets what bed! I'll wrestle ya for it! Whaddaya say?" Alessandra was already in the process of removing her dress, as was customary for those about to wrestle.

Jayanti Soman

Location; Dorm, Apartment complex, Assembly area
Interacting With; Olivia (@smarty0114)

Jayanti bopped in the front seat to the upbeat EDM song pouring from the car stereo as she sang along, putting her terrible, yet fun, vocals to use. The Subaru turned into a free carpark and Jayanti couldn't help but beam as she removed the keys from the ignition. This was home, where she belonged. She was going to do with herself next year when she would have surpassed all the schooling Olympus Academy would provide. She checked her make-up in her visor mirror before bounding out of her car, all she could do was make the best of her final year.

"Good Morning!" Jayanti greeted the dorm manager cheerfully as she approached her, dragging along her large pastel suitcase. The idea of school brought many dread or a feeling of annoyance. Jayanti, howhowever, had been spun into a rather chipper mood from the idea of the beginning of the school and her glee most possibly surpassed that of each person in the foyer.
"Good morning Jayanti, you're looking rather cheerful," the dorm manager replied, a small smile playing at her lips. Jayanti's happiness, albeit annoying on occasions, was contagious.
"When aren't I? Besides, I love being here. Who's my roomie this year,"
The dorm manager taps at her keyboard for a few seconds before reaching behind her for Jayanti's key. "You'll be in room 4-M with Olivia Weston. As your re-enrollment
was very last minute, why you had to collect your key from me here, she doesn't know she has a roommate so please don't give her too much of a surprise," Jayanti couldn't help but brighten up even more at the knowledge of her living with one of her close friends. She expected as much to happen, every year since filling out and handing her enrollment forms had been her job she had to collect her key at the desk, why? Her superior skills in procrastination and laziness overtook responsibility. With a word of appreciation she took the keycard and made her way to the elevator.

From the moment she stepped in she knew her friend had already been in and unpacked her bags. The room looked as if it had been hit with colour explosion, a very precise bomb. Jayanti had no problem with this and found the coloured choas beautiful. Her multi-coloured pastel suitcase seemed dull in comparison. She rolled her suitcase into the other bedroom and left it leaning against her bed. She'd unpack it later, for now she had a job to do.

She casually walking into the assembly room greeting the room's inhabitants with a loud, cheerful "Whuddup!" She found Olivia almost instantly and make her way Olivia "And how was your Summer, roomie?" Jayanti greets her with a wide smile

Location; Elevator -> Outside The Dorms -> Elevator -> Room 4-L
Interacting With; Eachother

As Dustyn was dragged from the room in hand by Tess, Dustyn couldn't help but have a sense of curiosity of the things that happened while she screwed around getting freshened up in the shower. After the barrage of words came spilling out of Tess's lips Dustyn listened carefully, her eyes widening as she watched her friend's arms wave around. Reaching the elevator together she watched Tess press the button before finally speaking, "First of all, who does she think she is calling YOU a ho? Dustyn raised her voice, somewhat agitated. Only she could call her friends names and get away with it. "Second off, you almost got a kiss from ol' seven inch himself? I'm fucking proud of you!" Dusty continued, as the elevator doors opened in front of them and they entered in. Dustyn reached over and pressed the button for the ground floor. In the heat of the moment she had almost forgot that she was supposed to move her belongings into her room, and probably meet her roomate for the year, whoever that poor soul would be.

Despite the situation, Tess couldn't help but laugh at Dusty's response to it all. It always made her feel better to know she had someone like Dustyn in her corner, always ready to fight for her. As the elevator traveled down Tess burst into another rant. "Right! Like, it wasn't like I was lying on top of him naked! It was just an almost kiss! And speaking of that, HOLY SHIT HE ALMOST KISSED ME!" her demeanor switching from furious to overjoyed in seconds.

"Oh my gods, I'm going to spend the whole year across the hall from him! He's like, sex incarnate and I get to spend the whole year as his roommate this is amazing!" she shouted, jumping up and down. She was lucky enough to finish her outburst before the doors slid open and revealed her and Dusty to the rest of the lobby. That would've been embarassing. Stepping out of the elevator, she turned to face her friend. "Alright homeslice, where's your car? I need to do something to take my mind off of the Kiss That Never Was,"

Dusty stopped jumping along with her friend in the midst of the excitment from the moment that would always be known as The Kiss That Never Was. It would be a story to tell the grandkids for sure. "Um." Dustyn started, pointing a finger towards the parking lot to where her junker sat. The two walked over together as she swung open the back door revealing the various bags, and garbage that was piled into the car. "Don't bother locking the piece of shit, it's not worth the effort." Dustyn chuckled, grabbing some of the bags that were in the back and tossing them towards Tess to help her carry to her room.

"I think I am in room 4-L." she mentioned as she put a backpack onto her back and adjusted the hem of her shorts up, bending down and picking up another one of her bags. "Let's hope my room mate this year is a hottie too, I could use some eye candy- since Laurel and I aren't getting anywhere anytime soon." she remarked, looking to Tess for reassurance.

Tess grinned at her friend from behind a the bags she was carrying. "What is going on with the still hot as hell son of Apollo? Tess asked, figuring it was time that they moved off of the topic of Abe and his nutbag of a sister. No need to get the redhead fired up again.

"Like, did you guys talk over the summer? Please tell me you did, you know I live vicariously through you," Tess said, following Dusty back into the elevator and riding it up to the fourth floor. She'd been one of the biggest supporters of the relationship that she'd nicknamed "Lusty" since it's conception, and had been pushing Dusty to go for something more with Laurel, mainly because she thought he was one of the finest things in the world. Which wasn't saying too much, seeing as how she held that opinion about most of the boys at the school.

"We talked during the summer a bit, you know nothing too serious." Dustyn started, her mouth pulled up into a smirk. She was often too honest and blunt to people, but there was something about Laurel that made her not want to be honest with herself about how their relationship was. "He probably just is looking for this bomb ass pussssssssssssy." she yelled as they entered the dorm room, a few bystanders giving them a glare as Dustyn busted out laughing, quickly returning to the elevator and pressing the close door button as soon as she could.

A sigh escaped her lips as she leaned against the rail inside the elevator shaft. "He invited me to a rave tonight, so we should totally go. Dress sexy, get drunk, have fun- and enjoy another year in this shit hole!" she teased, giving a playful shove to Tess. "Plus, I bet you'll get that kiss you meant to have this morning." Dustyn paused a mischevious look in her eye, If you don't- someone else will. Plus that bitch sister of his needs a wake up call real quick. I might need to give her a talking to." the girl threatened, as the doors opened up to the fourth floor destination.

Tess smiled at the prospect of a rave, and getting her kiss. Not to mention the idea of Dusty scolding Abe's bitch of a sister. All three gave her a warm and fuzzy feeling inside. "A rave sounds like a blast. I think I have just the right outfit too. Not to mention the right reason to get wasted," she said with a chuckled, walking over to 4-L and following Dusty inside, setting the bags down on the couch.

Suddenly a thought struck her. "Holy shit! What if Abe and his sister are doing some weird Game of Thrones shit? Like, what if that's why she was so pissy?" she exclaimed, her face twisted into a mask of fear. She could not be getting in between that weird ass relationship if it was even a thing. "I swear on the River Styx, I am not getting involved with another guy who has a thing for his sister!" she said, referring to one of her previous boy friends, a son of Apollo who'd been a tad too friendly with his half-sister. Granted, the whole situation wasn't technically incest, but it creeped the redhead out to no end.

Dropping her bags on the couch next to the pile that Tess had laid down, Dustyn's face turned into one of disgust. "Please... not another sister fucker." she pleaded with Tess, as the flash backs from the last boyfriend her friend had went through her mind. "I don't blame her though if they were, I've heard the rumors Tess. I sensed the rumor a little in your room, and I'm almost 46% sure that the rumors are true just based on that." Dustyn said, her voice steady, as she seemed to be convincing not only Tess, but herself.

Looking between the two bedrooms, she decided on hers and began transporting the bags from the living room into the bedroom. She didn't bother unpacking much, knowing that she would do it as time went by. Plus she hated having too much order, it was boring and drab to live life that way.

Every year, Olympus Academy holds one of the most physically - and mentally - demanding events. Each year, obstacles that test the limits of what body and mind could be put through are organized by the Olympus Academy staff. Each year has a different set of obstacles and each year different results. Sometimes there is a landslide when it comes to who wins or loses, sometimes it’s so close that it requires a second counting of the points to be sure, and sometimes, like this year, it ends in a draw - a tie.

This year had the Zeus siblings - Zachariah Abraham Rothschild and Cecily Aglaia Merrick - as team captains. On Abe’s team was Tess Galloway, Laurel Price, Preston McTavish, Webster O’Connor, Alessandra Sykes, Birdie Applesgale, Felicity Underwood, Olivia Weston, Delvin Chadwick, Jayanti Soman, and Andromeda Rhodes. Opposite of him, was his sister’s team, and on her’s was, Atticus Caesar, Honey Emerson, Mariana Dixon, Skye Woodsen, Alexander Reisender, Brianna Calvary, Ranafar Antar, Dante Belmont, Dustyn Flint, Peter McMillan, and May Bentley.

Each team went at it in mostly one-on-one challenges. There were two two-on-two challenges. For the most part, Abe’s team had the lead for the early challenges, but when Cecily took the win in her first challenge against Birdie, that started a chain of wins for her team until it came down to the final bout of Abe and Tess against Cecily and Skye. A match a lot among the demigods knew had a lot of history behind. It was no secret that Abe held a deep loathing for the Son of Aphrodite. Equally, the tension between the Zeus Siblings have been evident throughout the event as they were more aggressively-competitive than usually, so for this last bout to be had, it was extra intriguing.

In this last challenge, it was an elaborated game of chicken or what Instructor Harper dubbed it: a display of the “Water Battles at the Coliseum”. First one who knocked their opponent off the shoulders of their partner (or the ‘Ship’) won. It was a lot more difficult than expected. Abe and Skye supported their partners, Tess and Cecily respectively. Safe to say that the two girls were at odds. That added twist of acting hostile feelings probably made it all the more real because the two girls went at each other with words that most in the audience hadn’t seen be used in such frequency. And the feeling of hatred behind each of their string of words was something to be noted. It seemed like it could go either way, until…

The emotions in Cecily got carried away. She noticed her brother was trying to calm Tess down, since things were escalating quickly (murderously fast) and she forced Skye to maneuver away before making a jab at her brother. The jab was simple. She told Skye, the man her brother loathed the most, after they won, he’d be her escort for tonight at the banquet. This turned into an ugly sibling argument where they would stab each other with their words until both of them HAD ENOUGH. It didn’t help that their partners were only making the situation worse by just being there. In unison, the Zeus children caused a storm in the sky.

Before anyone could get terribly wounded, the professors stepped in. Ms. Hawthorne caught sight of the thunderous lightning bolts rushing downward toward the students in the water, told Dr. Tsvetanov, who immediately created a force field around them, and Instructor Blake picked their asses up, disqualifying both teams. There was no winner for the race, only disappointment and shame. As punishment for not only the disregard of the rules set forth within the challenge, but also the safety of their teammates, Abe and Ceil had to serve at the banquet rather than enjoy it.

The Great Theoria Dinner Banquet has always been an annual event just like the Spartan Race at Olympus Academy. The only difference between the two was that, unlike the Spartan Race, there weren’t any teams, no competitive events, no possibly physically/mentally-scarring side-effects - none of that. It was simply a dinner where the students could get well-acquainted with not only their year classmates but also the staff. Free to talk to the staff if they wanted ..or not, depending on which staff member they talk to(Harvey).

And every year, there was a different theme that the banquet had. This year was a ballroom theme. Some might not like it, some might, and other just might not give a damn, but the overall sentiment was this: there would be two sections -one where the staff and students would eat and one where they would dance. For those that think that dancing is optional, well, it’s not. So, horrible at it or not, you’re going to dance.

The stunning banquet hall was massive. Of course, so was the entire campus of Olympus Academy, but it was still totally gargantuan. There was no telling how many yards the ceiling was from the floor or how many square feet covered the dining hall, let alone the dancefloor. Every inch from ceiling to the floor and every wall in any line of sight was all covered in beige and white lighting. The wallpaper reflected the same color scheme, but it also had a certain golden hue to it that added to the overall heavenly atmosphere that was being created.

When one entered the banquet hall, on the left was the dining hall. Several tables were placed within its space. Though they had a beige color to them, they were all covered by white table cloths. The maximum amount of people that could be sat around each table was eight. A giant chandelier hung above with several dozen of white lights that gave the room that mystic, luxurious glow of gold and beige

To the right was the dance floor. Hardwood floors were covered with a luxurious tapestry carpet. It had a sort of design. It wasn’t like most of its kind that had a motionless design. This specific tapestry was forged with mystic cloth that actually showed moving animations of the Greek Gods and Goddesses dancing in each other’s arms. It was like the rug was its own pocket universe or something of the like. Hanging above were five chandeliers - four smaller ones surrounding the larger one in the middle.

Students came piling in, adorned in formal wear, with teachers lined up on each side, creating an aisle for them to walk through. Every year, faculty and staff would stand and greet new and old students as they entered the new year. This has always been a tradition at the academy and students couldn’t avoid greeting at least three authority figures of the school. Each teacher greeted differently.

The Power Use & Control Department were on the left with Mr. Drake from Physical Training at the end. He was beside Dr. Grint from the Greek Mythology Department, who was across from his beautiful fiance, Ms. Hawthorne. First came, Mr. Anderson, but everyone just called him Quinn. He preferred to be called that. He was the teacher that all the females talked about being overly-attractive and among the “coolest” teachers when the males were concerned. He just had that laid-back personality and certain aura about him that everyone just loved. Following him was Ms. Gianna Daniels. She would stare at those that came to her with sensual intimidation. Not because she desired them - she just always seemed far too provocative for her own good (like her mother). Students have misinterpreted her words, actions, and reprimanding as flirting. That being said, do not get on her bad side, she is known for tearing people’s hearts out, metaphorically speaking. She has a way of finding one's weaknesses and using them as weapons. Next was Dr. Edwin Grint. He was a man that most feared because of his intimidating nature. He always wore a black robe, and had a policy of “no roughhousing”. Everyone knew him to be the strictest of the staff. Jackson Drake was among the most energetic. He was always the one that joined in the cheering and “yahooing” in school events or just whatever. He’s a big manchild, but don’t think that doesn’t mean he can’t open a can of whoopass. Anger him or insult his soon-to-be wife, and Mr. Drake will unleash the inner-Ares inside him, and show why he’s one of the scariest professors of them all. Don’t test him. The order is as follows: Mr. Anderson, Ms. Daniels, Dr. Grint, and Mr. Drake.

Meanwhile on the right stood the Battle Strategy Department, or what students ragingly called them, the ‘Bullshit’ crew. The majority of the teachers were sadistic fuckers, which the Race was a perfect example of how malicious they can be, but these three in particular were an incredible force together. Not only did they balance each other out skill and power-wise, but they were some of the more commanding staff members to walk these school grounds (especially when together). Ms. Aisling Hawthorne, or Ash by faculty and staff only, was like a wrathful mother (with a soft side, when you earn it), who will make you shit bricks just by the damn daggers in her eyes, while Mr. Harvey Blake was straight up psychotic. Students believed he would kill them if he ever found them alone somewhere. No joke. Don’t fuck with him. Then there’s Dr. Magdalena Tsvetanov, the mysterious woman with Russian descent. She is not only eerie in her ways, but she will make anyone question their sanity. There is no doubt she has a few… or many… screws loose. Oh! And don’t be surprised if she calls you a “Little Girl” or “Little Boy”, it’s kind of her signature habit.

At the front of the line, and closest by the door, were Greek Mythology Professors Ms. Darcie Harper and Ms. Ji-Bora Chung. Out of the entire faculty batch, Ms. Harper, she’s okay with students calling her Darc, may be one of the kinder souls (or the only kind soul). She’s also terminally enthusiastic with her subject and her students. Raised as a theater geek, she wants to find ways to break her students out of their shell! Even if it means forcing them to participate in the talent show or the upcoming Fall Musical. The price of declining her would only be your grade. No big deal. She’s the go-to-teacher if a student wants to host an event of their own on school grounds. Next to her, Ji-Bora Min Chung, or Bora for short, has to be one of the bitchiest staff members of them all. The littlest thing gets on her nerves. As a result, she will take it out on her students. Her temper is short, and she has little patience. Obviously this one’s side of her parentage falls on the grimmer side of Demeter because it’s hard to see how her face could emit such a positive feeling and for the person it belongs to be the biggest cunt of them all. The order is as follows: Ms. Harper, Ms. Chung, Mr. Blake, Ms. Hawthorne, and Dr. Tsvetanov.

By the grand white piano in the far back, Mr. Jeremiah Clarke played a soothing and upbeat song that hardly anyone knew the name of. He was the man without a filter and harshly blunt. Rarely did he sugarcoat his words and would tell students if they’re were (or are) pieces of shit. They were conflicted with doting on him because of his charming unkempt ‘bad boy’ looks or being scared shitless by his mood swings. Sometimes he was pleasant, other times he was a heartless bastard. Gifted with grand musical talents, he loves to play the piano and listens to the great sounds of the world to inspire his songs. Many times in class, he would put music on the intercom (to project on the field), which may contrast with all the pain and suffering he puts his students through during their AIT sessions.

Standing next to him, where a mic stand was placed, there was Deimos Victor Simonides, the Headmaster of Olympus Academy. He was a man that looked rather young to be the headmaster of the prestigious academy. He looked tall, that much was obvious. Short dark hair that was always well-kept. His eyes were a mellow shade of blue or green (depending on the lighting). Like most, he was wearing formal wear. A simple grey suit with a cornflower blue tie. People often described him as an understanding Headmaster. Ambitious to be in his position, sure, but he was one of those guys that everyone looked up to. When he spoke, they listened because what he had to say was always important. He was the son of Zeus and Hera, so it’s understandable that people listen to him when he talked.

Beside him, clad in her one-shoulder red dress, was the headmistress, and Deimos’ wife/sister, Antonia Katerina Simonides. This woman was fierce. Where Deimos lacked in the toughness and upholding the expectations of Olympus Academy, she more than made up for it. Just her posture exemplified that. Everything about her, from head to toe, bled intimidation. From how her hair was stylized perfectly with the shape of her head to how her eyes looked cold and calculating. She was much shorter than her husband/brother, but that didn’t, for one moment, suggest that she lacked any strength compared to him. As stated, she balances him by being the heartless shrew that everyone expects her to be.

"Welcome! Welcome!” Deimos said, speaking through the mic. His voice boasted with energy, octaves reaching into near-screaming. The headmaster was definitely overly-enthusiastic. He always sounded like a British hype man. He got people into the events. That’s why the students preferred him over his heartless shrew of a wife, who, at this very moment, was giving him the death glare. Deimos caught it. He cleared his throat, shaking the hands of the students.

Webster's day had been a blur since running into Birdie and her rather intense roommate. After convincing Alessandra to keep her clothes on, he headed to the assembly, where he met up with Devlin. Webster had never been a fan of assemblies, especially the annual Welcome Assembly. Too many people, and too much pep, made for quite a few sarcastic comments, muttered under his breath in Devlin's ear. His mood did pick up at the Spartan Race however.

While the first loss had been pretty demoralizing for the rest of his team, he couldn't help but smirk a little bit. He'd gotten to watch Mariana be a total badass sprinter, which was pretty cool. Tess proceeded to point out that sprinting wasn't that bad ass, but he didn't really care that much. The next three wins kept him and the others upbeat, although Ceci's team soon pulled back ahead. Which made his next win so much more exciting.

Of course, he wasn't surprised that they put him up for the maze challenge. When he competed, that was always his obstacle, for obvious reasons. No one knows more about monsters than a child of Athena. It was grueling, and difficult, and he got into more than one fight with more than one monster. And just when he was at the end, he got stuck at the Sphinx, contemplating a seemingly impossible riddle. He thought he was done for, until the answer clicked into place.

I don't have eyes, but once I did see. Once I had thoughts, but now I'm white and empty

It had clicked, just like that. He'd been so angry that it had taken so long. A skull. A fucking skull He'd answered and gotten out of the maze to roars of applause, and a cheer from his team. The rest of the race had passed in a blur, up until the tie-breaker, which went on to become one of the dirtiest fights he'd ever seen.

And as he walked into the banquet hall, late thanks to Tess, arm linked with Tess' he couldn't help but laugh as she explained the bad blood between her and Cecily. "So you wanted to tear her eyes out, because she walked in on you about to make out with Rothschild? Really? Doesn't that strike you as a tad much?" he asked, a smirk on his face. Tess smacked him. "I'm pretty sure the rumors are true Web! They're true! Of course I'm pissed!" she exclaimed. "Wha-oh those rumors.

Tess laughed, then winced. "I'm pretty sure that bitch cracked a rib," she said, grimacing as she noticed Cecily working as a waitress. That did seem to lift her spirits somewhat, and she plastered another smile on her face. "What about you Webby? How's the day treated you?" Now it was Webster's turn to grimace. "I have to share a room with the wannabe Harry Potter for the year? Do I look thrilled?" Tess laughed. "Oh gods, I love Alex. He's so much fun! Oh, there he is now!" Tess said, breaking away from Webster and going over to Alexander, who she had spotted across the room.

"Alex! How the hell are you?" she asked, grinning big as she gracefully moved across the floor to talk to her friend, tucking her red hair behind her ear.

Meanwhile, Webster had found Devlin in the crowd, and had struck up conversation. "You did pretty great out there Dev. And against Atticus too. Pretty bad ass," he said, grinning, and patting his friend on the shoulder.

The assembly had gone off without a hitch. Thanks to Jayanti's help, she'd gotten three banners done, and had a great conversation with her roomie in the process. Olivia loved Jay and her cheery attitude. It meshed so perfectly with hers, she figured that there had been some divine intervention when they'd been placed together. She'd spoken a few words at the assembly, mainly welcoming in the incoming first years, before giving the stage to the other student council members.

The race could've gone better, that much was for sure. She'd been paired with Laurel Price for her competition, which she hated to say, had been awful. Sure, she liked to look at him, but he was mean! And Olivia was very nice! Their team quite frankly, was doomed from the start. She couldn't help but wonder if she could have won, if maybe she'd just played a little harder, and pushed herself with her powers a bit more, though she quickly shoved those thoughts down. There was no use taking risks with other's safety.

And now, she was dancing across the ballroom floor, a grin on her face, in the arms nice seventh year. Sure, she felt a bit...awkward, in her outfit. It was just so formal! And so pretty! And her heels were far too tall for her, but she'd managed to make it this long without falling. After a few more trips around the dance floor, she detached herself from the boy, and made her way over to where she'd spotted Jay.

"Jay! How are you liking the banquet?" she asked, shouting over the music. She was quite proud of how the banquet hall looked, seeing as how she'd helped design most of the decorations. She took a moment to admire said handy work as she regained her breath and waited for her friend's response, a grin on her face despite her obvious exhaustion from her many trips around the ballroom floor.

"Aren't you at least going to apologize?!"

Ryan let out a long, exasperated sigh and looked up at the girl badgering him. Apologize? Perhaps a year or two ago he would have, but he'd been faced with so many of these conversations since joining the academy that his empathy was stetched to nonexistence. With careful slowness, he set his violin down into it's case and latched it shut, before fixing the girl with the flattest stare he could muster.

"Look, you cheated on your boyfriend because you wanted to fuck this other guy. That's all my power does, lets you do what you want."

"Yeah, but I love him Vino! I wouldn't have done that if you weren't around! Maybe you could like talk to him? Explain that it wasn't my fault?"

"And... explain that you love him but wanted to fuck someone else? I don't think that'd go well. I'm sure you'll figure something out."

Stifling a yawn and bored beyond comprehension, Ryan began to walk past the girl, ending the conversation. He gave himself more than enough hell for his power and antics, he didn't really need to take it from other people as well. Besides, if this girl was here bothering him that meant the Races must have finally ended. An event he was forbidden from attending, considering what had happened last year at the academy. Someone thought it'd be a good time if they managed to give him wine instead of water as a refreshment. It did not go well.

"Oh, and you know my reputation, right? I mean, you stayed at that party, it's really not my fault. Don't ask me to apologize."

He didn't give her a chance to say anything in reply before he was in the hallway, making his way back to his room. He considered trying to skip the banquet later. Sure, the event had gone smoothly the last couple years, mostly because the staff caught on that they needed to watch what he drank like a hawk, but there was always the chance of things going horribly wrong.

And besides, the whole affair was so stiff and formal. Seriously, a dress code? The one area he liked to indulge his wild side was his clothing. As he thought the issue over more and more Ryan found himself in front of his room, staring at the door. When suddenly, a solution dawned on him that filled him with delight.

"This... Might be fun after all!"

"Secure in his masculinity" fell far short of the level of refusing to give a damn Ryan felt about how he came off to others. He was fully dressed up in drag for the ball tonight, having spent the last couple hours working on his appearance. Although his piercings were removed for the night, the myriad of tattoos running up and down his arms (ranging from simple to absurd) were fully visible with his formal black dress. technically he wasn't breaking any rules by showing up in formal attire. He hoped at least one of the staff had an aneurysm trying to wrap their head around that.

Still, not all the staff were bad. Ms. Daniels in particular was a favorite of Vino's, and he often sought her out when convenient. Control over his powers had always been something he lacked- and he took any opportunity he could to learn restraint from the woman. So far, to both of their disappointments, the efforts had been in vain. Still, he avoided sticking around to talk with her for fear of the other staff taking the opportunity to chew him out. Likewise, he resisted the compulsion to slide in next to Mr. Clarke and joining him on the piano. Sure, it had a 50% chance of turning into a fun time, but also a 50% chance of being a near-death experience. Not good odds.

Finally though, swaying with the music coming from the bipolar teacher, he made his way over to the banquet tables, on the hunt for faces he recognized. Doubtless his friends, or really anyone who had watched him perform before, would take the getup in stride. As for anyone else... Well, shocking people could be fun too. It'd certainly be a fun way to end an otherwise boring day.

That and dancing. He'd dance alone if he had to, but there was no way he was passing up the chance.
