PersonalityKeido is a brave fighter that, as his society taught, values honor above all else. He’s the type to attend to his traditions despite his untimely demise, and still makes it a point to observe holidays based on the calendar. To him, titles matter, as he believes that they denote the bearer being valued by their peers. Those without them, in his eyes, are viewed as less than equal and should fight for the benefit of equality. Thieves have no chance of redemption and deserve every ill fortune that befalls them, though assassins have impeccable value as untouchable fighters. At the end of the day, he tries to be a pleasant person to be around, and doesn't want to step on any honest toes.
HistoryBorn as Keido Katsurou, he grew up in a society that valued honor above all else. You had what your family had, you fought for every last bit of respect in an attempt to chalk yourself up to history. That’s what everyone did, whether as a common salaryman, a middle-class businessman, or a CEO. Tossing all you worked for away was a showing of insanity, or something damn-near close to it. As such, it rarely happened, but that doesn't mean it didn't.
With a burden to bear like this, Keido wasn’t about to live life as a free spirit and risk tossing away all he would work for. Since he could remember, he studied and practiced the traditions of his people with the full intent to do so for his whole life. Following school, he decided to join the police force to help curb the crime sweeping the city he called home, where he dedicated almost every free moment he had. Whatever time was left over was spent practicing a favored hobby of his, archery. It would be his ambition that would eventually kill him.
They had everything they needed to strike at an entire gang, all the information, all the resources. It was a trap specifically meant for Keido, however. As he walked down the alley with his squadron behind him, he paused to listen for activity up ahead. For a moment, the world was silent, until a chorus of clicks behind him drew his attention. As he turned, he saw a total of six guns pointed at him, and he knew what was about to happen. Before he could raise his own to fight back, they opened fire.
Keido Katsurou was dead before he hit the ground, last moments knowing nothing but betrayal.
However, it wasn’t to last. He awoke in some sort of paradise, and as far as he could tell, he was significantly more... avianoid. On him was his bow, one of the swords belonging to his family, and a collection of arrows. Off to the side, some hides that he could only assume was armor. Once dressed in them, he set off down the road in an attempt to figure out what had happened to him, to which he was greeted like an old friend by anyone he passed. And with every greeting were directions to the Adventurer's Guild. Not wanting to turn down the only thing that might have answers for him, he went.
Upon passing through its grand doors, he answered and reinvented himself. “Nowadays? A ronin of sorts. Keido Swiftwing, pleased to make your acquaintance.”
Other:While not the most notable trait, Keido takes pride in his ability to make good tea and always enjoys a cup of it.
