"I think I've got it Gran, I don't need yo-" Elli started, interrupted as her grandmother began sifting through her closet for her, throwing clothes around her already messy room.

"You try telling Gran to stop. I dare you." Drew, Elli's younger brother, called from the hallway, watching with an amused look on his face.

"You must make a good impression, Elli! And..." Gran paused as she stuffed the last shirt into Elli's already overpacked bag, "Remember what I always tell you."

As her grandmother started talking, Elli joined in with her as well as Drew, "Always strive to be the best at what you do. Even if you make boxes, be the best dang box maker there is."

"I know Gran, I know. I'm already late so please, can we hurry this up?" Elli implored her grandmother, trying to grab her bag from her. She already had two bags full to the brim. She wasn't even good enough at magic to make them float so carrying them would be a chore. Suddenly there was a knock and the door which prompted all three of the Winters to perk their heads up.

"I'll get it." Drew replied quickly already rushing to the door. Elli could hear a familiar voice as the door opened. D-Doctor Trent! What was he doing here?!

Elli rushed for the door, nearly crashing into Drew as she stopped in the hallway in front of the door. "D-Doctor Trent!" Elli shouted, blinking. The dark haired man laughed, a deep laugh that brought a sense of comfort with it.

"Somehow, I figured you would pack too much, so I brought over one of the moving trolleys I had left over from when I moved here." He explained with a wide smile, revealing the trolley behind him. Elli's mouth hung open as she moved to look it over. Not only was it enchanted to hold more than it would be able to otherwise, but it had hand brakes. "I also know how clumsy you can be, Elli." The doctor laughed, causing Elli to blush.

"How kind of you, Trent!" Elli heard Gran from behind her. "Please come by for dinner sometime. Drew and I would love to have you." Gran added, smiling from ear to ear.

Nearly an hour later, they'd finally gotten Gran to let Doctor Trent leave and it was time for Elli to leave. She smiled as she waved to her grandmother and brother. "Goodbye, everyone. I'll visit soon! Remember to write me letters." She called out, tears coming to her eyes. This would be her first time living away from them. She prayed that Drew would take good care of Gran and vice versa.

Lost, why am I always lost? Elli let out a sigh as she mentally berated herself for not looking for a map of some sort. Shed mostly ignored the fairies swarming around her, mostly because they frightened her. It didn't help that that portal left her feeling a bit queasy. She was used to magic, sure. Her small island was full of it but she hated new places and this was one giant fright-fest for her.

It helped though that she was bundled up to the point of being barely recognizable so she could walk around without fear of the cold. She hated being cold and relished in warm temperatures. She loved snuggling up with her blankets and pillows. She waddled around with her trolley, the pink puffball on top of her pink hand-knit beanie flopping around on her head. All anyone could really see of her would be her hair and her eyes, which were darting around trying to take everything in. It wasn't very hard for her to get suddenly overwhelmed.

It also didn't when sad music suddenly started playing out of nowhere. She stopped dead in her tracks, fairies swarming around her, and looked around for the source of the sound only to find nothing. It wouldn't have unsettled her so much if she could have spotted it's source but now she could only assume she was being followed by violin playing ghosts. With renewed vigor, Elli pushed her trolley along the path towards where she hoped would be her dorms.

The music had stopped by the time she finally found the building in question and Elli could only assume that the violin ghost had lost interest in her. Which, she was glad for because the sad music was doing absolutely nothing to lift her dreary mood and only made her want to cry more. She buried her face deeper into her scarf as she approached the dorm room. She pulled her mini-journal out of her pocket where she kept pertinent notes and noted the number of her room.

It took her a few minutes of looking, but eventually she found her room and entered. She was surprised to see that she was the first to arrive to the room, aware that she would have roommates. She just couldn't remember how many. Not wanting to be surprised, she locked the door behind her before continuing on. With a quick inspection of the room, she noted 3 total beds. So... two other roommates? That's shouldn't be too bad but Gran always says that three's a crowd...

She pushed the worry aside and pulled at her scarf, draping it over the trolley's handle. She began walking around to try and figure out which bed she wanted to claim for her own.

Who in their right mind was playing a violin at this hour? And so terribly as well? Such an ugly melancholic song. Some of the other students might have felt sadness by it, but Viola simply felt a mix of annoyance and joy. After all, if you had no 'sad' memories then you couldn't cry or be sad about them, no? Not that she didn't have her fair share of hardships or unpleasant memories - but she wasn't going to cry over spilled milk. Lingering on the past was silly and a hindrance to human nature. Move forward with joy, always. Some might find that an odd thing for one such as her to say, but if you didn't enjoy every aspect of life, then could you really be called living? Of course not~

"Ara?~" Once again, her thoughts were interrupted. This time, by a very interesting...and adorable little girl she'd like to get her mitts on in a number of ways, heh. She hadn't heard her approach...some sort of sneaky type? A sneaky little kitten? "Hehe, I'm quite popular tonight it seems!" She giggled. "First that adorable little sheep and now a cute sneaky little black kitten finds its way to me. I must have been quite a good girl to find so many adorable playthings." She offered Luna an impish smirk. "But yes, the night is such a beautiful thing, isn't it? I do so miss the misty woods of my home already though...the wolves would be making quite a pleasant song with their howls about now." Viola's words turned to the last part of the girls sentence however. The graveyard.

"Aha? Interested in the Graveyard, are you? Come tomorrow evening I shall likely be spending many a long night there. There is a comforting gloom that I do so love about the place....I am Viola Rifei, a pleasure, little kitten." Although, perhaps this could be a blessing in disguise? If she could convince the girl to help her...perhaps she could summon something quite a bit more powerful than a simple Sylph, as adorable as one would probably be.

Of course, the little sheep seemed to have found her again....and was thanking her for the directions?

Oho.

"...ah?~" She turned to Alex. "Little sheep, what are you going on about? Thanking me for bad directions? Perhaps you're a masochist?" She giggled. "But it seems you found your way here regardless, hehe. Not bad, sheepy. Perhaps you're more entertaining than you look."

Melody blinked as she saw her new friend start to disappear, and she exclaimed, "No come back!" Before firing up her Area of Positivity, thinking Luna was getting scared. She couldn't quite tell where she was, but she got a taste of her aura and was pretty sure she'd be able to track her down. Melody smiled back at Kai and said, "I make people happy!" She then took his hand and looked towards the train, "But come on! We need to find our new friend, I hope I didn't put her off too much." She said, shaking her head. She hadn't even told Melody her name.

Meldoy let go of Kai, motioning for him to follow and got herself aboard the train. There were so many people, but nobody seemed to have the same kind of energy Luna had, she seemed so negative! That not only interested her but gave her a fighting chance of tracking her down. As she made her way down the train, she couldn't quite find her. As the train eventually came to a stop at the mess hall and Melody stepped out, however, she saw not only Luna, but two other students talking to her, one girl, and one boy. Once she saw her, she shut down her Area of Positivity and quickly shoved herself into the group.

"But it seems you found your way here regardless, hehe. Not bad, sheepy. Perhaps you're more entertaining than you look."
It was at this that Melody came up and hugged Luna, saying "You ran off before even telling me your name, are you ok?" Placing her hands on her shoulders and cocking her head. She then remembered herself, and turned around to greet the other two, "Oh hi, sorry to interrupt." She said beaming as she rubbed the back of her head and gave a cheerful laugh, "I'm Melody, her new friend." She said boldly, nudging her head back towards Luna. "Who're you all?"

Luna looked at the girl for a moment as she seemed to agree, about the night and even about the Graveyard, "I Don't know what you mean by cat, i have no cat like features, at least as far as I'm aware of, Viola.. The name is Luna, Luna Dark-" she paused before she said her last name, She faded out for a second, and back in on the other side of her as the boy approached. Her left hand holding onto Viola's clothes, Luna was trying to talk to people, but she was frightened by all this interaction, But Viola seemed to get her, so for now Luna trusted that Viola wouldn't lead her into danger. "I am, It is, a Ple-" she said in a soft tone, that was easily over shadowed by everyone else talking.

Luna was shocked when the girl from before came up and hugged her, She had never had this kind of human contact, her father had never so much as patted her on the head, so a hug was a step for her, in a sense. "I-Im Luna, Luna Dar-" she stop before finishing again, it was habit, and customary for her to say her last name, at least where she was from, but a part of her didn't want to be associated with her father. She talked in a louder voice, "Hi, I'm Luna," She quickly tried to obscure herself but the amount of people around made it difficult so instead she just clutched her teddy bear, and looked nervously around her like a terrified Chihuahua, trembling.

Iron Atwood

As Mede began his introduction of the Headmaster to the crowd of students Iron began putting his sketchbook away and by the time that the Headmaster had landed he had just finished wrapping his ear buds and stowing his phone in his pocket. With the distinct lack of jazz filtering out the world around him Iron became aware of the bittersweet violin melody playing throughout the school. Immediately he recognized the style if not the exact melody.

“Wonderful,” Iron thought to himself, “another year of Nialla’s depressing melodies echoing through the campus. Just another reason to never leave my earbuds in my room,” The habits of the music mage had become common place during their last year and while some of the student body loved his music, Iron detested it. Just about every time he heard those violin melodies it brought back memories of his childhood, before his grandfather had taken him on as an apprentice. A time that, for Iron, was doggedly marked by loneliness and detachment.

With the violin acting as the background music to the Headmaster’s speech Iron soon found himself filing on to the campus train where the speech continued. It was probably not the best venue for an opening speech as most of the first years spent more of the train ride trying to cope with the speed of the train than actually paying attention to what the Headmaster had to say. And as for the returning students the speech didn’t offer much in way of new information. It was the same typical speech that Iron had been privy to the last couple years, mainly highlighting the limit of the campus grounds and the requirements for field trips and so on and so forth. It was actually the exact issue of trying to give an opening speech on such a train that was the cause of a first year now asking Iron what the speech had been about.

“It wasn’t really all that important,” Iron began while turning to face the raven-haired first year. “The main bullet points: the forest is forbidden… unless you happen to be a Journeyman-level mage, don’t make pacts with the campus fae or spirits and breakfast is free daily, but only until 10 A.M.” Iron listed off the highlights to the annual speech while ticking them off on his fingers. “I would say you should pay better attention, first year, but the train was probably a bad venue choice for the entrance speech”

“I’m Iron Atwood by the way,” Iron added this last sentence as more of an afterthought along with an extended hand in way of introduction.

'... but... only... until... 10:00... AM.' Theo finished tapping out what the other student, who seemed to be older despite being a hand shorter than himself, had told him were the main points of the speech into his phone. He was going to leave out the part about the forests being forbidden and making pacts with fae since both were pretty straightforward and he doubted either would come up very often, but he wrote them down anyway. It's not like it would take up much space on his phone. "Yeah, no joke. I'll definitely try to pay more attention, though," he said, returning his focus to his new acquaintance and putting his phone back into his pocket.

The flow of students finally lessened to an extant where the both of them could begin exiting themselves, and they began doing so. "I'm Iron Atwood by the way," the older student introduced himself as they walked, and held his hand out beside him. "Theo Curtis. It's very nice to meet you, Iron," he returned, giving Iron a firm handshake. "How long have you been coming to this school? Any pointers? I've never been to any place like this before, so it's a pretty new experience."

Now that they were off the train, the speed in which they were able to move was most definitely increasing. Some students seemed not to even be heading for the mess hall. Quite a few were heading straight for their dorms ('Luckies, they get to be closer to both the mess hall and the academic buildings. I'm just next to the Cotton Store,' Theo thought), and a few even looked to be heading off towards the sparring grounds. What they were planning on doing over there, the boy hadn't a clue. Did they have sparring matches at, what time is it now... Two in the morning? There also seemed to be violin music wafting in from somewhere. What a peculiar place.

((Sorry I don't have any colors. On my phone.))

Alex watched as the albino faded, reappearing behind Viola. He was glad to see there was at least one other person that was as awkward as him. "S-sorry." He said to Luna, though he wasn't sure why. He wasn't exactly intimidating.

"I'm not a masochist!" He sputtered at Viola, very quickly and a tiny bit louder than he meant to, face bright red. A part of him wanted to call her on trying to trick him, but that might start a fight, and he wasn't much of a fighter. Watching her interaction with Luna, he was starting to get the impression that this was just how she interacted with people. "I thought you just got mixed up...Did you really think I'd go to the graveyard?" He asked her. "What's with the graveyard anyways? Everyone seems to be dying to get in." It was then that Luna was unceremoniously hugged.

"Oh! Hi there!" Alex said to Melody, bright blue eyes widening. He wished he was that outgoing. Then again, he wasn't the huggiest person. In fact, if she'd done it to him he'd probably have had a panic attack. "My name is Alex. It's nice to meet you." He said, bowing slightly. Why the hell was he bowing?

Now that she took care of the issue of the potential slithering escape of the snakes, Shen Li Fang realized that this wall became pretty popular in a rather quick manner. First came the doodler, then came the servant? Blinking twice the girl pondered about whether staying at this wall would be the most sound decision to make. This decision came easily as Miss Fang heard that the headmaster made some declaration regarding doing these ceremonies on a train.

Craning her head back and forth Shen looked for this alleged train. With a slow and methodical precision Li placed her left hand over her eyes, squinted and began looking in several directions for this train. However the searching from that bared little fruit. And, unfortunately, once again in her luggage the sacrificial ingredients began to try to off themselves earlier. A frown was forming on Shen Li Fang's face as she once again opened the bag in order to quell this activity.

And that's when a few small little fairies with cheerful dispositions came flying around Shen Li's head. Their translucent wings and high pitched giggling as they tried to poke at her hair struck a certain nerve with Shen Li Fang. Carefully Fang began waving her left hand around in an attempt to swat these magical gnats away.

These creatures were simply nuisances, humanoid bugs that wanted to bond with you. There was no point in bonding with a mere bug; Li Fang was from the Shen Clan.

And if she formed a contract with these pitiful creatures, she would bring great dishonor to the Clan's name.

Though perhaps they would be useful as a sacrifice to be slaughtered by the centipedes. Shen Li Fang briefly thought about that before the fairies again began giggling and buzzing all around her. Shen Li blinked as she kept a plain face about her, but briefly glared at them. Once again she raised her hand and was about to swat, before a hissing snake head popped up and spooked off a few of those insects.

One of them was laughing at the hissing serpent; Shen Li Fang focused her attention not on the last of these fairies but instead upon the snake which once again tried to escape her grasp. With an intense focus, Shen Li Fang held her hands high above her luggage and...

...The train came with such an intense speed it send the last pixie far into the night until it was left twinkling. And as for the sorceress, well in training, Shen she was also sent flying backwards as she stumbled down into some dirt which stained her outfit, and got caught on her legs. With a small frown Fang began to brush off her legs of this mess, while all the while a sneaky snake began to slither away.

Spying this traitorous behavior, Shen Li swiftly swiped at the serpent and plucked it up. The snake was writing wildly and hissing in anger; this behavior did not inspire Shen Li Fang to release the creature. So she simply returned it back into the luggage before zipping it up once again and going onto the train.

The feast at the Mess Hall was, needless to say, an exorbitantly grand one. Breakfast foods from all over the world were arranged in tables according to region. More than a thousand students were gathered, and yet the food had yet to be found lacking in quantity or quality - there was always something to choose from, and you could spend the whole day sampling the food arrayed for them and not even be halfway through.

The Headmaster himself was there, in his authoritative, large brown mantle cloak, with a serving tray in hand and lined in with the rest of the students over the service areas. He was talking with some of the newer students - who were rather reluctant to be so amicable with authority.

At this point, pretty much everyone had gathered into groups they were comfortable with. Some had finished eating already and went outside in order to explore the school, or otherwise had some other business to attend to - most of the newer students would likely pursue a bed, considering the hour, plus the need to simply be inside their rooms.

Some others had broken into a fight somehow - as per usual - and the Enforcers stepped in to stop them. Polyanna, who was dining with the Headmaster, took delight in watching them settle matters through force, while the Headmaster preferred if they were settled through diplomacy. So naturally they began betting on every fight.

At some point the fairies and other spirits that roamed the University had intruded on the breakfast. Some of them began picking off servings of food for their own - fortunately not from any of the students. Yet.

All-in-all, a typical way to start the morning here at B.U.M.

For those that turned in early, B.U.M. dormitory rooms were simple, though spacious. It started with a walk into the apartment, which seemed much too small to contain over a hundred such rooms, but such was how it was; the rooms themselves were divided into five parts: three bedrooms, one bathroom, and a living room that doubled as a kitchen. Furniture would be sparse, at first, with just the dining table, a few chairs, a living room couch, and a bed being provided. Over time, however, students added more and more character to their respective areas.

More and more people seemed to be crowding around her! How adorable, though in this case it seemed the energetic one who introduced herself as Melody had come here looking for Luna. A small smirk formed on her lips. It seemed Luna was a tad bit under on the shy side. And she said she didn't have any kitten like qualities. Hah.

"Hm, I'd be lying if I said it was a pleasure, Meldoy." Viola replied to the far to happy girl. "I am Viola Rifei...an acquaintance of Luna's." She smirked. "And try not to hug Luna so suddenly, dear. You're startling the poor kitten." She gave Melody a playful smack on her head before turning and walking into the mess hall. "Huh. It'd have been funny if you had, sheepy...but its customary to haze new students a bit...at least it is for me." She giggled. "Feel free to sit with me if you want, Luna."

Viola then made her way into the mess hall. Just as it had been last year - loud, noisy, but very entertaining. Viola easily made her way through the crowd, picking up an assortments of food - mostly of the sweet nature along her way. Breakfast was hardly her favorite meal of the day - she preferred dinner and dessert...and was partial to dessert. What? She liked sweets.

Pancakes, waffles, cinnamon rolls, you name it. Wasn't exactly a healthy breakfast by far, but she was an indulgent little thing. Eventually she found herself a seat, and started eating.

Melody was very concerned by her Luna's sudden trembling, and then cocked her head, and said, "Oh dear, are you cold? Here," She then unzipped her jacket and tried to shove it towards Luna, "Take this, We'll be inside soon, but this'll help you warm up." She said, a genuine sweetness in her tone.
"And try not to hug Luna so suddenly, dear. You're startling the poor kitten."
Melody's face fell for a fraction of a second as the back of her head was thumped, and then brightened back up, taking a small step back from Luna, "Well why didn't you say anything silly?" She asked, cocking her head, and then turned at Viola as she walked away, and shouted, "Thank you sooo much for letting me know." And then gently took Luna's hand, trying to be a little more restrained this time, "Let's go get some food in you, yeah?" She said, and then turned her attention to Alex, and smiled, "It's so great to meet you, Alex!" She said, and grabbed his hand with her spare, before heading in after Viola, excited to eat.
Melody led her new friends in through to the mess hall, and grabbed for practically everything she could. Not only had Melody starved herself in preparation for tonight, she had an unreasonably large appetite for a girl her size. Assuming Luna and Alex would sit themselves down next to Viola, she sat squarely across from her, making it so she could easily talk to all of them. As she began to dig into a piece of french toast, she spoke through bites, "So you keep calling these guys animal names." She raised a playful eyebrow, before chugging back a glass of water, "That's really cute actually, do you have one for me?" She gave a big-toothed grin, and then giggled, "Ohh Ohh! You kinda remind me of a panther, maybe I could call you that!" She suggested.

“This is my third and penultimate year,” Iron spoke with a definite air of confidence, “However, not everyone can graduate to the rank of Master in just four years so as far as pointers-- pace yourself, you know yourself best.” As he spoke Iron adjusted his heading towards the mess hall. “Oh and don’t miss breakfast, the university is named after the meal… and lastly if the violin playing bothers you I suggest picking up some decent headphones, Nialla’s made it a near daily habit since he started here last year,”

Having taken the lead as he spoke Iron reached the mess hall doors before Theo. “You can dine with me,” Iron turned and added in an off-hand manner as he stepped through the door into the mess hall. Not waiting to see if Theo would follow Iron found himself a table, and marked it as his by removing his jacket and folding it across one of the chairs. After claiming a table Iron set about assembling a plate full of various breakfast foods, before seating himself back at the table and waiting to see if the newcomer would join him. As he waited he toyed with an earbud ready to return to the world of mid-century jazz.

For such an energetic guy Kai got tired early, he hadn't slept much the day before with all the hype he had for his first year at BUM so he went to his bedroom earlier right after eating some of the food at the breakfast, he wanted to have a morning run before classes so he wanted to sleep a few ours before he had to wake up. He left the room without warning the rest, he didn't want to get in between the talking that were going on.

The night was not cold so Kai enjoyed the run bad to the dorm, in his normal runs Kai did not use his magic, he enjoyed running, and this way it helped him train to get faster. His powers did not increased the speed he could run, it only created this special "bubble" around his body that cause time to go faster compared to the outside so it appeared that he was running faster, in Kai's point of view he always ran at the same speed.

When he reached the dorms some lights were already on, that meant that he wasn't the first to come back.

Alex found his hand in Melody's, being used to drag him into the mess hall. "It's nice to meet you too." He said to Melody. He was putting up no resistance. If she hadn't, he probably would have gone to sit by himself. Flustered though he was, a part of him was grateful to him for forcing him into this situation. He gave Viola an apologetic look before sitting at the table. He had oatmeal and an apple. BoxDog obediently took a seat under the bench.

"You can turn invisible." He said to Luna. He got the impression she was reserved like he was. He could empathize, and he wanted to make her feel like she was welcome too. "That's really cool." The whole while, he was watching Melody and Viola. He didn't like fights, which was why he usually took the path of least resistance.

"Um. I'm okay with sheep. Sheep are nice." He said.

Luna was surprised by the kind gesture of her jacket, which she put on immidaitely, and was even more shocked by Viola speaking out for her. She had never had anyone do that, atleast no one she wasn't paying to do so, which she was never truly fond off, she new her staff hated her, which never sat well with her. She sat down after being forced into the Mess Hall. "I, Well, i don't know why you keep referring to me having feline features,I'm almost certain that i have none, nor have i exhibited any actions that may be misconstrued as that of a cat." she said still puzzled by Viola's names for her and the boy. She found herself sitting next to Viola, which some how made her feel at easy, she took her hand and firmly held a piece of Viola's clothing. "th-thank you, I do not turn invisible though, i simply displace the light around me, to create the illusion of my disapearance, like this," she said as she grabbed an apple, in her hand in plain sight before it seemingly vanished from thin air, she then took her hand and took a bite out of it, before revealing it again, She moved her body back for a second before bumping into another student, She turned quickly, "I-I'm sorry about that." she said as she sat back down, and looked at the others around her, "th-thank you for the jacket,"

"Wah? Panther?" Viola pouted lightly. "Comparing me to something so mundane. I'm slightly insulted." Well, she only gave people pet names she thought were interesting. At the moment? Yeah, melody didn't fit that description. As the rest conversed, Viola indulged in her pastries, taking a bite of a one of the waffles she had. Along with a bit of tea? It was absolutely delicious. Ah...she wondered if her darling little spirits were behaving? It'd have been funny to see any roommate of hers deal with the door to the dorm slamming open, followed by a stream of luggage floating and setting itself up.

She almost thought about leaving and watching it herself.

"Hehe...well, I call you a kitten for a reason. Try figuring out yourself, Luna." She offered the other girl an impish grin. "Maybe I just find you adorable." She didn't linger on the subject though, and quickly moved on. "I agree with Alex though...that magic of yours is quite useful." She grabbed a cinnamon roll, and started eating it. She could already think of a number of uses for it.

Like getting into the forest, for example. The incompetent staff would never let a Novice like her in, which proved quite a...problem. While it was easy enough to summon a creature she desired so long as she had the proper materials, it was a rather impersonal process she wasn't fond of. Or rather, it was a little forceful. She had waited for an opportunity to slip past last year, but she was done with being passive. Not like Livia wouldn't give her much of a choice.

"So...forgive me for prying but what is it you two can do, hm?" She asked Melody and Alex. Not that she really was all too interested, but knowing things about people was always useful.

Melody brightened up more than ever upon being asked about her magic, and having a chance to talk about it, "I can make people happy!" She exclaimed, and then cleared her throat to explain more, "Well, not exactly. I can clean people's negative emotions and feelings, and when people are happy around me, I can kind of draw from that and get stronger." She explained, all while continuing to eat. As she took a break to swallow, she tilted her head, and looked right at Luna, "That's how I found you, right before you left, I felt your aura. It was so sad, there was no way I could just leave you like that!" She shook her head, and said, "It's not healthy to just live with that kind of negativity in your life."

Melody then held out her hand, "If any of you want, I could clean your auras for you, take out all of your negativity, and anything else you wouldn't want." She offered, smiling. "I love doing anything I can to help people, especially my friends." Melody made a pleading look to Luna, "Oh please let me help you, I don't want you to hurt, or be scared anymore." She asked, almost beggingly. She was really concerned after she felt how overwhelmingly negative Luna was, and this was the best way she could personally help her.

"No thanks. If you erased all my negativity there wouldn't be anything left!" Alex chuckled. He had some oatmeal as he thought over Melody's powers. "Is it healthy to just get rid of negative emotions?" He wondered aloud. "I-I mean it sounds really useful! Some people are really depressed, so it would help them!" He said. He busied himself with turning to Viola. He pursed his lips, sapphire blue eyes looking to her.

"Are we allowed to do that in the mess hall?" He said, reaching under his chair and lifting up the construct that had been following him around. It looked like a papercraft. Cube shaped, it had a jagged flap for a mouth, stubby legs, and a pair of googly eyes on either side of its head. It was quite alive, too.

"Boxdog!" Boxdog barked.

"I'm a summoner." He said, holding BoxDog in his lap. "I have a couple. I'm not super good at it. Um. Shikigami." He said, holding his hand above his head. There was a burst of multicolored smoke, and above his head hovered what seemed to be a 6 foot long sheet of paper. It had eyes and mouths scrawled across it. And they were moving, the eyes darting around. The other side looked to be completely invisible, as if looking at a screen that displayed what was on the other side of it.

"I have one more, but I'm not supposed to use it inside." He said. He shifted uncomfortably. He seemed embarassed about his powers. "BoxDog can do tricks. Shake." BoxDog raised it's paw, and it extended across the table, offering a paw to Viola.

Kai was almost in his room, he was sleepy and yawning with his eyes closed when he was going to open the bedroom door, but in that moment the door open and a girl bumped directly to him sending him back first to the ground.

"Should I assume you are one of my roommates? I'm Kai, nice to meet you. " Using his back to push himself up he made a small jump and landed with his two feet on the ground reaching his hand to the girl to both salute her and help her stand up. With a smile and while helping her getting up he continued: "So are you a newbie like me around here? I mean it's your first year? And were you going to the breakfast? I just came from it, food was delicious!" Kai's energy was suddenly risen, everything in this school popped his curiosity and with that his energy. " We went by train, but I can show up the way if you want. Oh I'm Kai by the way, not sure if I had said that before." With a soft giggle he waited for the girl to process everything.
