Streets Of Cairo: Rosheen smiled over at Mosi and thanked her for the compliment on her place. Looking around her small apartment she had to admit it wasn't the most glamorous in Cairo but she was more than happy to call it home. It looked very much the quaint little home of the locals, seemed that Rosheen had adopted the local decor easily enough. Save a few pieces here and there that were obviously European. Tartan seemed to be the main fabric of choice, a little trinkets and such from home, small statue of a woman next to a peacock, and so forth.
"It does, have to watch yourself of you will loose time fully around here with so much to see," Rosheen said in an understanding voice. Walking over she peeked into the packages so she could have a look smiled. "Seemed they really set you up, those are lovely. Come by tomorrow and I can show you some patterns to help you get that together." Grabbing her bag she looked around her apartment. "Okay, lets get moving, you wanted to drop those off at your hotel before your appointment right?" she asked before shrugging. "Or you could leave them hear until later, I don't mind."
Museum: Akhmed couldn't stop smiling at Josephine and when he heard the Lord Majors voice it took him a moment to snap out of it. "Oh do excuse me my goddess extraordinaire," he said beofre finally turning his attention to Reginald. "I would think she would be in her office at this time Lord Major, she has been receiving numerous floral deliveries today," he said grinning a bit. Flowers were not something that ever got delivered to the Lady Munn, unless it was a get well arrangement after she hurt herself yet again.
As Lauren spoke up Akhmed sighed. "Seems I am a day late and a pound short Lord Major, I had forgotten she intended to take care of the permits for her upcoming expedition today. The office closes at six, so it would only make sense that she had made her way over there but she does have a new assistant," he added before glancing around a bit.
Neema hadn't stopped her walk. Glad to be on her way and to get back to the archives. Pointing off a little ways from the information desk. "Oh there he is sir, a Mahendra Zalil. Headed towards the archives with.... Ms. Banoub...." he said before tuning his attention back to Josephine. "Take care of yourself ad if you would lower yourself to be accompany me this evening, I shall be leaving promptly at six this evening. If not, I do hope to see you again soon Jo Darling," he said as he bowed deeply.
Glancing over her shoulder Neema noticed that Akhmed was pointing in their direction and there was an older heavier set British Officer next to him. "Seems someone is pointing us out," she said as she came to a stop.
Vera, Peter, & George
Location: Governorate (E/F 10)
Skills: Focus (Vera), Mental Stamina (Vera)
Vera stopped right before she entered the building and glanced towards George as he stood there. His head was lowering again as it did back in the as it had back at the museum, his shoulder hunching. It was as if he was trying his best not to draw attention to himself. Thing was the more he acted this way the more people were looking, thankfully the masked side of his face was close to the building itself and it kept most from even noticing something was the slightest bit off. Taking a breath she reached over and rested her hand on his arm.
"Would you prefer to remain outside? I shan't be but a moment. I dare say that us two women can handle things inside. Perhaps you and Peter could take a moment to catch up?" Vera suggested.
Peter reached into his breast pocket and pulled out an olive silk handkerchief. A quick flick of his wrist and it opened fully before he held it out towards Lauren and turned to block Veras and Georges view of her as he noticed the tears.
"You are most welcome and I am sorry. It is obvious by your reaction that no one has bothered to tell you these things before. It should have been said long ago. Chin up. From one Mathematician to another, numbers solve everything," he chuckled. Giving her a moment to compose herself more fully before they continued.
"Mmm, you don't mind?" George asked as his one eye came up to Vera. While he was accustomed to Peter and a few others whom he was close to back home being kind to him and understanding of his situation he wasn't from a stranger. Yet she didn't feel like a stranger to him. Perhaps that was because of the numerous times Peter had spoken about her to him when he was laid up in the hospital. He had enjoyed hearing about her but at the same time it had saddened him. He knew he would never find a gal to take home and have a family with. The last of his family would be his sister. Peter had tried to tell him that he would find someone but it was a hard thing to swallow.
"Of course not. I wouldn't go inside if I didn't have business to attend to, nor would I have so many around. I much prefer to be left to my reading and work," she said as she stood there. It was true. While Vera enjoyed the company of some others for the most part she enjoyed being the bluestocking she was and in the shadows. Yet she couldn't deny that she was excited about leading an expedition and some of those she had met seemed to be ones she would want to be around. Lady... No, Miss Kingston was one of them. Very sharp mind on that one.
Peter finally turned and caught up with the two at the door. Quirking a brow he wondered if they had held up the pair yet again.
"Shall we then?" he asked as he stood there. He hoped he had taken enough time for Nora to compose herself fully. Leaning against his cane slightly he looked at the two as Vera shook her head slightly.
"What do you mean no?" "Mmm, Vera says she and Miss Kingston have this," George interjected. He hadn't realized that he called Vera by her first name to Peter but the woman had insisted that he call her as such and he didn't know the finer points of English etiquette when it came to the whole peerage thing. Heck he didn't even know Veras full title. To him she was just a woman whom Peter had spoken about a lot on a more personal level and that was being kind to him.
Peter however did take notice, as did Vera but she covered quickly. She was smoother with words than she was her own two feet. Especially since a certain head strong American was no longer in her presence seemingly trying to cause her a headache constantly.
"Quite. Miss Kingston and myself can handle this, you and George should go and catch up. We shouldn't be long," she added before turning and heading in side. She tripped slightly and George caught her by her elbow, easing her up the stairs and inside before stepping out of the way and clearing a path for Lauren to follow.
