DAY 7 - Genesis City - 9AM

Waking up to the warm rays of light coming through his window, Theo rose from bed ready to start the day. He payed for shower and breakfast, before making his way to the Data Link 66 Guild house, and after an hour or two to travel there and pay for it, he successfully got a subscription. The information would be expensive, but anything was worth knowing what was happening in the game.

After reading the first PM, Theo made his way to the Arena. He had been wondering since he had gotten them, but the spells he had gotten were incredibly powerful - to the point that he wanted to test them out on an opponent. Of course, going out in the wilderness was dangerous, and he didn't want to inconvenience his friends.

After visiting the apothecary and the fountain in order to top off his health and mana, Theo arrived at the arena to see that there were several other players already there. As it turned out, many players dueled in the arena due to it being spacious and a place that fighting was expected to be done. Theo watched a few fights occur, before making his way closer to a group of players talking with one another. Theo didn't want to interrupt them, so he simply waited and listened to see if there was anything interesting that they would do.

Day 7

The city seemed much more lively now that everyone had begun to settle into life here, it was nice to see they weren't giving into fear. Everywhere he went he could feels eyes on him, probably staring at his strange hair and eyes but it was not just that. He had new clothes and a new attitude, he stood a little straighter and walked with more assurance. The loss of Paralyze and Alisea's talk with him had given him the determination to both stay true to himself and become a strong leader. Now in town square, he set about creating the first message; the one inviting others to the guild:

Join the Legion of the Wolf!: If you want to help everyone escape this game while having great adventures and
forging strong bonds, you should join our guild! You won't have to worry about watching your back when you're in the wolf pack! We
have already cleared a dungeon and are looking to clear them all. Contact Reylan if you wish to join or know more, we look
forward to having you in our family! - Reylan

He hoped that would be good enough to bring in some more players or at least get the ball rolling. After the message was posted, he spotted the one about buying dungeon information. They people who were interested seemed to be the guild "The White Templars". This might be a good thing to check out so Reylan decided to meet this Crystalball later. Next was the Call to Arms, as he liked to say:

A United Front: This is an message to all guilds and their guild-leaders. As you all know, We cannot beat this game
until every floor is beaten. Every floor dungeon is bound to be much harder than the regular dungeons before it and thus there is a
greater risk of life. That is why I am proposing the establishment of a united front to tackle the more difficult bosses that one
guild alone cannot. If you truly seek to beat this game and save the lives of everyone in it, message Reylan of the Legion
of the Wolf
. There will be a meeting in the Guild Hall the day after the Solace Festival for any who wish to attend. - Reylan

A lot of his trust and hope was put into that message, as he knew the the floor bosses would more than any one guild could handle...at least without losses. It was only smart to band together to tackle the harder parts of the game, something he hoped they realized. His mind went back to the guild looking for dungeon information and he pulled up the game's messaging system and sent a private message to Cyrstalbal, leader of the White Templars:

"Hello Cystalball, I am Reylan of the Legion of the Wolf. My guild recently cleared the dungeon: The Hill's Sorrow. If you are
interest in information about the dungeon, I would be happy to sell it you! Cheers!"
- Reylan

Now that all of that was taken care of, his next destination was the city hall to talk about a special iron contract with the city's council. This would give the guild a much needed source of iron while given them a greater reputation with players and the NPCs. He looked quickly at his inventory, he had no idea what to do with all this raw material they had gotten from the boss. Shrugging, he started on his way excited about the day. The pm suddenly reminded him of something urgent he needed to do.

Shiba: interacting with, @Ithradine

Shiba waved to River thanking him for the opportunity for the quest before dissolving the party and going his own way. While he understood the difficulty of creating a business he couldn't help but feel determined to make it a reality. He had checked the map for good spots that were currently occupied and the ones inside the city were expensive so he checked outside the city. While it was dangerous if beasts decided to attack it was much cheaper and got him into the price range of a good 15k. He heard that banks were able to give out loans to players and at a severely reduced cost in terms of paying interest with a silver coin a day. His first stop was to the closest bank near the council hall.

He talked with them and they explained the fact that the loan was equal to his level so at level 9 he could take out 9k which was a sizable amount and made him very close to the goal of 15k but it still wasn't enough. He had hoped he wouldn't have to ask for help but the fact was he wanted to do this both for his guild and to make a name for himself as a blacksmith. He then put on his Fancy clothes and it turned out to be a beautiful white and green kimono. It fit his style to a tee and thanks to the Katana he almost mistaken himself for a Japanese nobleman in the Edo period. He would need help so he searched and found his guild master at the message board in towns square.

He then walked over to him and gone was the easygoing and carefree demeanor he was usually and in came the serious and businesslike Shiba. He tapped Reylan's shoulder to get his attention once he did he said "Reylan I hope I am not bothering you today but I am in need of help. To be more specific I need the guilds help, if you would rather discuss this in private I understand but this is business and I feel it is important we talk about it" He said firmly knowing that this was a business proposition and as such he needed to keep a certain amount of decorum in such a situation.

Day 7

“The Prince… Charmed… no, Charming. Prince Charming… Was that grabbed? Raised? Lifted, maybe? ‘Prince Charming lifted Princess onto… lifted the Princess onto her a… Onto his... steed.’ Wasn’t this the word they used for the peasant’s donkey, though? Ugh…”

Alisea dropped her head into her palms and groaned. She had discovered the city’s library yesterday after picking leaves had grown too tedious. Thinking that she could find something enjoyable to fill an evening--for surely the GM would have added some popular literature to the game, if only to fill space--Alisea had gone in to borrow a book.

Difficulty had greeted her at the door. First she was asked to fill out a library card. The small slip she was handed was covered in unintelligible swirls and slashes, with a few portions empty. After some explanation from the librarian, Alisea learned that this was in fact the traditional writing system. With the librarian’s guidance, she squiggled her signature into the mess. She did her best to make it illegible; it almost fit in that way.

Lightly scanning the shelves, Alisea confirmed her fears: nothing was written in the English alphabet. She had resorted to the small section of picture books in the back corner of the library in the hopes she might make sense of the new symbols.

That brought her to today. Maybe she could have given it up as a waste of time; but the game had laid down its challenge, and she would not back away. Even if that meant borrowing small children as they passed through to ask them to read simple books to her. With that much assistance, the magess-turned-kindergartner had discovered a heavy truth: the writing wasn’t in an alphabet. It wasn’t as complex as Chinese characters, but the system was definitely lacking in phonetic pronunciations. The markings for possessives alone were nightmarish.

A tiny, barely audible ‘ping’ provided a welcome distraction. Alisea opened her menu and read the message with glee.

Hey, Where are you at right now? I got something I gotta give you.

She was certainly ready for a break; she had been at this all morning. Her hands deftly flew over the English keyboard, tapping out each word with precision.

You can find me in the library--the large building with pillars one block east of Town Hall.

Looking over the piles of fairy tales and children’s rhymes she had amassed, Alisea had to chuckle at herself. She doubted she had spent this much time reading these things even when she was in kindergarten. Now she had gone over some of them enough she could quote them from memory.

______________________________________________________________________________________________________________

With the party now dissolved River thanked Shiba once more and made his way to the bank. Just as quickly as he had earned the Renn, he lost it. "I'd like to pay for my loan please." A small woman sat at the desk with rose-gold colored hair, fair skin and amber eyes hidden behind bright red glasses. Her appearance was humble and almost meek."May I have your first and last name please?""R-River Fido" he struggled to get the words out as he watched her diligently work. Searching through files until she came across his "You currently hold a debt of 325Renn that was just recently taken out. You dont aster time do you?" a cheerful laugh escaped her lips as she handed him the documents as well as a tray in which to place the Renn."If you could just Sign here, initial there, and then use this tray for the Renn. Aaaaand you're done, congratulations you've paid your debt." a sigh of relief escaped him as he feared he'd never have paid it back when he pulled it out. "Thank you...uh""Kistueki and you're welcome" a low grumble could be heard from Rivers stomach as he stood there and he was riddled with embarrassment "guess I forgot to eat. See you later!" he ran out and made his way towards the inn.

"Hey Hans! Mind if I get some grub? I'm starving" the inskeep gave a deep guffaw as he began to put in an order for River who took his place at the table the guild tended to sit at. He did so in Hope's that he may meet more of them as he relaxed and ate for a bit. In the time it took for the food to be prepared River summoned Pepper once more and then sat there and meditated to regain back his lost MP. Once he finished meditating he found the food was placed before him and he began to dig in savoring every bite and feeding Pepper some here and there. Now full and rejuvenated River got up and paid Hans for the food before stepping out in his new fancy Clothes and began to head outside to gather cooking ingredients using this Botany and Gathering skills. Pepper stood on his shoulders the whole while watching his back, flying up and encircling the area every so often to insure a spawn hadn't occurred nearby and would aggro onto River. This went on for around 3 hours occupying the restof his day.

Summary
-Paid Debt (-325 Renn)
-Bought Food (-10 Renn)
-Current Renn (119)
-Gathered Cooking Ingredients ( 3 hours worth )
-Meditated (Regained all lost MP)

Xenos

Interacting with:@Haruhi43@Trainerblue192@Ithradine

Xenos nudged Chari and bid her adieu, reminding her to contact him if she wanted to hang out around town. He left the inn, whistling with hands in his pockets. He wandered aimlessly for a while, just watching NPCs and players interact. He smiled at a loud group making their way out of town, heading to the Savage Fields dungeon. Guess the newsletter made more than a few comfortable trying their hands at this. If people weren’t willing to push out into dungeons without information, that information might as well be as valuable as their lives. He made a note to discuss that with the guild later.

He pulled up his inventory and winced a tad. Although he didn’t regret it, the gold for the information on the Astral Blades would be sorely missed. He dismissed the menu with a sigh. As nice as walking around town was by himself, boredom quickly inched its way to him. The nightwatch quest wasn’t for a while yet. Oh, actually maybe he could get a few others in on it. It would be a fun way to meet some of his future guildmates, maybe make a few better impressions that he probably has. He quickly typed out a few PMs and shit them away.

Maybe he should work on his skills or his stats. His mathematics and architecture skills needed a little love and he just didn’t feel like working on his gathering skills because the first four days taught him repeatedly that it sucked. So studying it was. Xenos sighed again. Even in a video game, he couldn’t escape college.

So he spent a little while asking around about a library or a school or anything really. He got directions quickly and made a beeline for it once he had. He wandered in and greeted the librarian at the entrance, inquiring about the usual policies, check out length, organization of the library, operating hours and the such. A little pop up message appeared as he filled out the odd looking library card explaining that certain texts and stories will require the linguistics skill to decipher while other informational texts will be auto translated just like regular conversations. Xenos sagged dramatically with relief, he librarian shooting him an odd look and the laughing when he explained he was worried that everything was written that way. The librarian directed him to the mathematics section and he flipped through several. He put it back carefully and zipped out as he realized he needed paper and a pen to practice with, purchasing an empty book and a ink and quill set before returning, smiling sheepishly at the librarian who just rolled her eyes, and grabbed a few practice books, settling in to study.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Summary:
Found Library
Signed up for Library Card
Purchased Empty Book (-30 Renn)
Purchased Quill and Ink (-20 Renn)
Started Studying Math

Lehariel Leet

The Day Before

"Ugh, what am I gonna do today?! I was thinking I'd like, hang with some of the guild or something, but they're gone. Like... petals, in the wind!" Lehariel muttered to herself, leaning her head onto the table - a quill in one of her hands, and a scroll right next to her. "Oh, that sounded cool. I'm gonna have to say that to someone eventually. I can't just have it go ignored... that's wasteful! And my parents, well, they taught me to never be wasteful... maybe a little too well, in fact..."

Nonetheless, Lehariel shifted her attention to the scroll, which was covered in an assortment of scribbles, yet these assortment of scribbles were very important to Lehariel, for they were the basis of her latest plan to become ever stronger... and not only that, but it'd be putting all sorts of things Lehariel had purchased to good use if it worked well, or rather, if it worked at all. There was no guarantee that this... unorthodox plan would work. But if it did? Lehariel thought it'd be cool and stylish as hell... but also possibly dangerous as hell. But to that, Lehariel had one thing to say...

Of course, there was no guarantee this was possible, but it just sounded like a cool idea to Lehariel Leet. Someday she'd try to make it, for sure, but she felt that stuff like 'Axe Tonfas' were a lot more viable a choice - or especially the Wandaxe. An axe with a wand attached to the back - just flip it around and fire off some spells! It would be perfect for Lehariel's swashbuckling melee - magic switching style, but again, there was no guarantee that it worked.

Lehariel laid her head on the table for a while until she thought of something to do. Lehariel found that she still had a bit of Renn to spend - 272 Renn, to be exact. And, if Lehariel remembered correctly, that meant she'd be able to learn a few new disciplines, maybe even actions. In particular, Lehariel thought it'd be wise to increase her knowledge in the fields of Light discipline - from the sound of it, the next spell she'd learn, Flash and Awe, was rather potent. 'A strong burst of light that stuns all nearby targets', hey? That sounds like it kicks ass! But hold on a second, is it talking about just enemies, or everyone? Blinding my teammates is probably a bit of a bad move. Maybe it'd be funny for a prank, but not if lives are on the line... and hey, if I learn Flash and Awe, I'll get closer to spells like... like... Laser! Holy crap I'm excited to learn that! It'll be like that old internet thing. I'mma firin' my lazor, and all that!'

However, Lehariel took a look at the Pure Magic discipline spells, a set of spells she didn't have much interest. Sure, pure magic was cool, but was it as cool as burning things to the ground or freezing them solid? No! But... Lehariel spotted an interesting spell. Combine Disciplines, a spell that allowed the user to combine spells into one. That was a major part of Lehariel's plan as a spell user! In fact, the Pure Magic discipline seemed very useful for someone like Lehariel. It'd allow her to use even more spells... perhaps it'd be worth giving it the skilltree a look. It could definitely come in useful, and besides - she had money that was going unused. That 272 Renn had to go somewhere...!

So, Lehariel set off once again, to pay the magic teacher - or, as she called her, 'Teach' - to teach her new spells. And, fortunately, this time it was easier to locate her magic teacher without getting lost...

Karma

Karma eyes were once again greeted by the light of the morning sun. Once again it was time to wake up so Karma rose out of bed to start the new day. Karma then moved in front of a mirror and opened his menu than his inventory and equipping his common clothes before checking himself in the mirror to make sure that he looked presentable, then after making sure his outfit was in place Karma then put his long blue hair in a ponytail.

@HueMan

Once Karma felt that he was once again ready to be seen Karma then looked at his other self in the mirror. "Alright, today I'm going to ask around for my chance of making rare cloth armor." Karma told himself before meeting with the shopkeeper who he regularly buys Fabric. Once there Karma will then ask the person for information on his chances of making rare cloth armor with a sewing level, wondering how straight of an answer he will get from an NPC and how aware they were of their game like world. Of course, if he or she didn't Karma will ask someone else.

OCC: Also Karma completed the Making friends' quest from yesterday.

Aster & River

______________________________________________________________________________________________________________

______________________________________________________________________________________________________________

As the time went by River began to feel hunger take over again from all of the hard, medial task of gather ingredients for cooking. He himself wasn't able to cook but it never hurt to either sell them or find someone who could and share the meal. He quickly made his way back towards the inn after equipping his boots of travel to hasten the journey. He sat at the guild table hoping to encounter more of the them aside from Reylan and Shiba.

After a few moments of searching, Aster finally tracked down the boy she'd been messaging with: River... something. He had a last name, but it escaped her for the moment. Taking care not to catch him off guard, Aster called out "River! There you are! Sorry, I almost missed you in the crowd there! Do you need to do anything else in town, or are you ready to go?"

River looked up at the woman who called out to him. Aster was her name and she always seemed to wear such nice clothing accentuated by her long raven hair. He laughed at her comment about the crowd and smile warmly "Its no problem, and I'm always raring to go!" he said as he quickly jumped up on the seat. "The night is young and so are we! So let's watch the night away!" he face had a slight bit of concern as he looked through the crowd of the inn. "Though...I dont know where the other are..."

Aster spared the merest smile at the boy- no, the young man's comment. "Why, River, that was nearly poetic! Young we are indeed..." She trailed off for a moment, eyes unfocused as she looked somewhere just over the snappily-dressed fellow's shoulder. "Well... for the moment, what say we send them all a second message, then head out if they don't get back to us?"

River nodded in agreement as he opened up his menu searching for Shiba and Xenos's name and sending them each a message.
Xenos/Shiba

>>Hey, Aster and I are at the Inn waiting for you all. Quest should start soon so I suppose we will meet you at the quests location. -River

"Sent to Xenos and Shiba. I'm sure they'll pull through for us though. I asked them to meet us at the quests location." as he spoke River went about changing his equipment. Putting on what he deemed his 'Battle Gear'and taking of his leisure clothes then sending a party invite to Aster. "Makes it easier to view your health if we party up."

Aster arched an eyebrow at the invitation, then gently prodded the blue "Confirm" button, accepting the invitation with a smile. "All right. That's settled then. Any word from the others, or are we stuck for now?" She drummed her fingers on the table, averting her eyes as River changed, though nothing was revealed. "Not that I mind, it's a nice enough spot to wait."

River noticed as she began to avert her eyes and wondered if he should feel more embarrassed about swapping gear in public areas. This thought had never truly crossed him as he spent his first 5 days in the wilds mainly and had bathed in the lakes, so being exposed inside a virtual world meant nothing to him. "Hmmm. I haven't heard back from Shiba yet but I know Xenos was keen to meeting at the quest location. Besides, the less time he has to stop for a drink the better. Shall we?" he said motioning his head towards the door.

With a quick pat at her hip, Aster felt for her sword, and then, reassured that it was in place, nodded. Her face had little of the smile left on it, despite River's upbeat tone, and she merely followed after, contributing little to the conversation. It was time to be focused on the task newly at hand. Pleasure, it seemed, could wait.

After some walking for some time in the silence with nothing more than the minute chirpings of Pots River decided to attempt to break the silence. "So...Reylan invited Xenos and I to the guild." There was a long pause as he looked for the appropriate follow through "I figured if we are all going to be working together perhaps we could exchange our skills?" his face grew flush with red as he realized that asking a players stats is typically an mmo's taboo though was unsure if that still applies in a game of life and death. "U-u-unless of course you dont feel comfortable speaking about your stats t-then that's fine too. Heh." he began to look down at the ground attempting to avoid her gaze.

The walk was pleasant enough, the company equally so. Aster enjoyed silence, when she could get it, and River's was companionable. When he spoke, she wasn't startled, and she didn't look up until he finished speaking. With a bemused half-smile, she spoke in a calm, measured tone. "Well... I'm not surprised. Rey... That is, Reylan is very much focused on keeping the guild going strong." She paused, letting the silence grow once more, then added, "You should accept. I mean, you don't have to, but... I... that is, we would like to have you. You seem like a capable guy, and more than that, like a nice enough person. That matters a lot more, in my book." She felt her cheeks reddening, and chided herself. Why did she have to blush around anyone that paid her any attention? "So... yes, I think you should." She nodded, as if that finished the matter. "Oh, skills. No, that's no worry. Here." with a few precise, careful motions, she jabbed at the air to send her stat block to the trainer:

Health: 2,000/2,000
Mana: 700/700
Strength: 15
Agility: 22
Intelligence: 2

Level: 9
Renn: 2107

Skills:
Sword Wielding: 35
Dancing: 18
Knife wielding: 7
Music: 3
Unarmed combat: 18
Throwing: 4
Gathering: 4

Receiving her skills he stared with child like amazement. Mouth a gasp the entire time marveling at what a few more levels could do. He looked at the bottom right corner of his HUD which he kept mostly active to show his Renn count...it was no where near hers." Sword wielding 35, Dancing-D-d-dancing?! 18. Unarmed combat 18 as well..." he turned to face her as he walked, pay no attention to any possible perales ahead of him as he whispered to her "Do you have some form of specialty class I havent heard of? Blade Dancer? You could combo in your sword and fists using dancing to seemlesly blend in a fury of attacks that are flowing and unpredictable making you an agile threat at close range." as he spoke his speech became more and more rapid in his excitement at the idea turning the end into a mere flash of sounds.

"Blade... dancing?" Aster said the words almost as though they were foreign to her. "I... No, not at all. Do you think that's possible? To make a custom class? I just took points in dancing because..." She looked away. "That's not important. But... If I could make this a real thing, make it work like... like you said, seamless, and flowing and all that..." She looked at the trainer with awe. "This could be something else! I mean, think about it! A fighting style that enemies aren't familiar with, at least not yet... That's something else indeed." She smiled, openly now, with more sincerity than she usually let slip through. "You might just be a genius, River."

River gave an amused chuckle as her quip about him being a genius "Oh I dont know about a genius-he spoke as he placed his arms behind his head looking towards the nights stars "But death game or not Talrae is a wonder...a game in which your class does not determine what you can do but simply points you in a direction. Combining the class system with a free for all skill system and it's free magic system as well, well, I dont see why you couldn't create the class. What's more there's title to he earned, titles that are unique to each and every player no two every repeating...who's to say yours cant be Blade Dancer Aster? Truth is anything can happen in this game. That was made clear from day one and it's what I'm here for. I'm going to be unlike any other trainer." his voice was almost like that of a dreamer in the beginning but began to turn into a more determined and confident tone as he began to speak of his dream to be a trainer like Talrae had never seen.

River quickly pulled out his menu and sent her his stats so as to keep it fair.

And not a moment later did they arrive at the quest location awaiting the others.

The majority of her day had been spent out in the fields around Genesis City fighting whatever monsters she could get her hands on, trying out new tricks and moves for the next dungeon run they were sure to go on. Her heart was aching for another one, the thrill was too addicting to simply sit in one place for too long. Of course the monsters around the starting area where no real match for her, hell she used the boars to practice timing her evasion to get the most out of it.

When night began to fall, she decided to head back into the city having consumed the salted meat in her inventory and all the water in her water-skin. A quick look at the time and she noticed that the everyone would meeting up for the quest pretty soon so Chari decided just to go to the quest location right away, it was going to be just five of them she believed.

It seemed she was the first to arrive since none of the others were around yet and that caused her to frown a little bit. This was why she preferred to be fashionably late. She didn't have her music playlist in this world so she couldn't even listen to that while she waited, so she decided to sing some of the songs she knew by heart in her head.

Is there anyone out there?
Listening to what I say?
I am standing alone here,
waiting for that special day.

When the pain will stop,
and I shall be free.
A prison of my own design,
stopping me from who I want to be.

If there is anyone out there,
listening to what I say,
please say you'll be here,
and make this a special day.

I fight just to live through it all,
under the crushing weight of my own walls.
Even though I might be broken,
I don't want it just to end.

Her eyes were closed as she sang this out, the music having once saved her from doing something she would have regretted. It was exactly what she needed to hear after that awful thing happened years ago. Now it served to remind her of the promise she made to herself. Back then, and now.

If there is anyone out there,
listening to what I have to say,
I no longer need you here.
I'll make this a special day.

I will fix the broken pieces.
I will make them stronger
I will not be defeated.
I will be much tougher,
I will continue on.

✧ DAY 6 - Genesis City, Inn "Eden Hall" - 8AM-7PM ✧

6/23/2076

Dubstepp’s eyes repeatedly opened. His eyes closed shut once the beaming rays of the sun poured through the window. He shifted his body and laid on the bed with his back against the mattress. He stared up at the blank ceiling; he proceeded to sigh followed by a long yawn. With no further indications, he probably could have been fooled if he first woke up to the ceiling. It looked similar to the one in his bedroom. That was a given seeing as how they were both white canvases.

Dubstepp sat up, stretching his neck and arms because he acknowledged today was going to be busy. He turned his entire body and pressed his feet against the carpet. He performed his daily routine of morning preparation. Even though he lived in a simulator, he couldn’t help but to maintain his hygiene. His body was like clockwork, he needed to shower, brush his teeth, and comb his hair normally.

After he completed the mundane tasks, he equipped his regular clothing onto his person. Entering the streets, he found himself blinded again by the sun. Nothing but zeros and ones, but yet it still gave him a headache. His eyes adjusted to the brightness as he carried himself through the streets. The musician did not necessarily have a plan made out like usual. Thanks to the dungeon, he came across a large sum of money. More than likely, he is going to be able to purchase whatever he needs without any worries.

Dubstepp sucked air through his teeth. He did remind himself not to spend too much at the first store he steps into. All this money is going to have to spread through all his needs: magic, food, armour, and everything else. Walking along the pavement, he decided to take a stop. Stepping into a familiar building, he greeted his tutor of magic arts. Samantha the Beastmaster eagerly greeted one of her pupils. A fair and short conversation erupted between the two.
Most of it was Dubstepp recalling what had happened during his dungeon completion and Samantha’s duties as the Beastmaster. As she spoke, Dubstepp found himself looking behind her. He did enjoy small talk, but he wasn’t sure how much time he had. The tamer still needed to visit other places. Without becoming too rude, Dubstepp directed the talk into the available tamer spells. Samantha responded with a smile and showed what she could train her pupil, while also providing the cost.

Dubstepp swiveled his head back and forth. Weirdly, he learned how to increased his monster summoning cap despite him only having Totoro in his party. It would come in handy if he does come across another addition. He began contemplating what issues he has had during battle. Realizing one specific problem, he chose to learn how to restore his monsters’ mana. Totoro always seemed to run out during battle.

Finally, Dubstepp increased his monster cap for the third time. This meant he could now carry four monsters in his pocket. ”I’m not sure why I learned this spell. All I have is Totoro in my party and I’m not really desperate to find another one. I’m really picky, all I have been finding are wolves or different variations of.” Samantha listened to his concern and said some advice that helped out Dubstepp.

She mentioned the vast world of monsters. There is bound to be some he doesn’t like or that he feels wouldn’t be a great fit. ”Patience is a virtue,” she shrugged her shoulders. Dubstepp smirked, he agreed with the mantra. Saying his goodbyes, he headed out. He did not do much walking before entering yet another building.

Fortunately, all of the masters of discipline were close together. For a while, he contemplated on what discipline to learn. Fire and Ice demonstrated many destructive possibilities. He couldn’t learn the pure magic ones such as holy. After a moment of thinking, Dubstepp decided to go with air. It provided more benefits and would become a great use to him in the future. As a trainer, he saw great potential in it.

He greeted the master of air and showed his eagerness in learning the fundamental. The master’s name was Gaan; he proved to be extremely optimistic. His entire attitude was elevated almost like air itself. His smile wore wide and proud. Not knowing each other, the short talk ended really quick. Gaan revealed the available spells. Dubstepp didn’t take too much time; he simply learned the first two just to get an idea of the power.

”Looks like I have another master,” Dubstepp spoke to himself as he exit the building. He proceeded to trot down the path. He already equipped himself well enough with new spells. He snapped his fingers and remembered something significant. As he was walking through, he saw the recognizable pet shop.

He walked in and walked out without buying anything. He would have loved to receive a new pet, but the spells he just learned put him a few hundred Renn behind. Even then, they did not seem like they would fit his personality. He remembered what his master said. Dubstepp guessed he would find a suitable companion during his next dungeon raid.

Dubstepp arrived later in an armour and weapons business establishment. Being an individual that depended on animals, the store did not seem extremely important at the time. Though there was no harm in browsing the place. Looking at the mannequins, he did find a particular hat. The headwear would give him a boost in ranged weaponry. The musician couldn’t help but to smile knowing that this would become extremely useful. He proceeded to buy some special gloves and a full set of leather armour. The clerk of the store appeared to be a very clumsy female NPC.

Her black hair flowed side to side during her head movements. Her name was Cheyenne and she did have trouble forming words. She complimented on Dubstepp’s purchases and had her own insight on each item. Her friendliness was pleasant to be around. The day was getting late so Dubstepp couldn’t stay talking. He ended the conversation short and exited the store. The musician did feel bad, but he knew he would return again.

Before returning to his bed, he did grab a few food items for his next dungeon raid. He needed to stock up on food just so he doesn’t find himself starving or asking his fellow players for scraps. He bought some bags of pet feed for Totoro knowing he had an appetite too. Before ending the day, Dubstepp ate a pot pie and returned to bed.

Xenos

Xenos stretched, absently attempting to adjust his glasses before realizing he didn't wear any in this world. He rolled his stiff neck and closed the book he had been working out of, shoving his equipment into his bag and gathering up the books to be checked out for the evening. He chatted briefly with the librarian, promising to be careful with them and headed out to grab a bite before meeting up with River. He picked up something quick, dropping a nickel for something quick and scarfing down while balancing a book in his other hand. He read as he walked, muttering apologies as he periodically bumped into people.

He would have walked right into River. Instead, Xenos ended up blinking up at him as an irritated Pots growled at him after knocking him flat on his ass. Xenos chuckled as he stuffed away the book, picked himself up, and dusted himself off while shooting off a sheepish smile at the other man.

“My bad, my bad!” Xenos apologized. “Got stuck in the study zone whoops.” Pots continued growling at him. He rolled his eyes at Pots and turned to look at the pair. “Oh, this must be Aster! You should have mentioned you were bringing a princess River!” Xenos slid over to Aster and bowed dramatically. “How you managed to survive this wildling’s company is beyond me.” He stage whispered to her. He sent her a wink and stepped back. He nudged Chari and smiled at her before turning around to speak with the Watchmaster.

“Heard ya needed some help! We got a few other stragglers on their way and we will be ready for duty sir!”

Reylan noticed that the sky had gotten dark and a quick glance at the time confirmed his thoughts that it was nearly time for the night watch quest. It would appear that visiting Data 66 would have to wait for another day, as he didn't want to miss the chance to get to know his fellow guild members better. He visited a shoppe on the way to the quest location and purchased some food and drink for later while also grabbing something to snack on now. By the time he reached the spot, everyone else was already present. Guess his little side-stop made him a tad late to the party.

"Not a bad turn-out I think." He said as he approached them "Hey there, Aster..River..Xenos..Chari. I hope you all had a good day?" He said brightly, it was going to be an..interesting night with the group they had right now.

Lehariel Leet

"Geez... I'm dyin' over here. Nothing to do... at all!" Lehariel mumbled to nobody in particular, her gaze shifting to various buildings dotting the streets. Her mind was on an addiction of hers - that being battling, for nothing got the blood pumping quite as much. Yet, the past few days had been, simply put, boring for the silver-haired adventurer. She hadn't been doing much more than waiting around and hoping - praying, even, that something interesting would happen, something out of the norm. A quest, a fight, both, anything would do. Yet... nothing of the sort had happened, at least so far. All that was noteworthy was the fact that she'd heard talk of a festival around town. Something like that could certainly prove exciting.

'Ooh! What if like, monsters showed up and were going to ruin everything, but then we Legion of the Wolf guys come to the rescue?! It'd be something out of a movie or something, but... it's probably not a good thing to think stuff like that, huh. Something like that'd ruin the festival, so...'

Lehariel peered over to a few shops, which were in the process of packing up. This only served as a reminder to Lehariel that she'd used quite a bit of her money yesterday - or was it the day before? But, nevertheless, she'd went from having over a thousand Renn to having a mere fourty seven Renn. "That shady Astrology business I was thinking about sounds real good about now... I don't think I'd get much Renn, sure, but at least it's something." She spoke her thoughts aloud, thankfully with no passerby nearby. "Eh, who am I kidding. I don't think I'd get more than like, three Renn. People've wised up to that hocus-pocus stuff. Sure, telling fortunes could be fun, but I'd get basically nothing... and I'd be standing around all day, too."

Eventually, she found herself at a rather familiar location - none other than the Portal Gate, the very location one could travel from floor to floor. It was a place Lehariel'd grown quite familiar with to put it one way, for it was the link between floors. And, as an adventurer - she often found herself heading off into whatever floor was available to her, though she typically went solo. Lehariel headed towards the Portal Gate, focused on venturing forth into the next floor - though it didn't take long before she stopped her advance.

'I'm with those guys now, Lehariel thought, referring to the Legion of the Wolf. 'I probably shouldn't just head off, huh... plus, going solo from this point on's probably a fool's gambit. I mean, I may say I could've taken the Fenrir Herald by myself - at least, I think I said that - but I didn't really do all that much. If we wanna go further, we've gotta be a team.'

'I mean, heading off alone's just asking to be killed, and I don't wanna die with no fanfare. It's gotta be something dramatic, like some big sacrifice to help everyone out or something. But hey! I'm not gonna die, either, so I don't have to worry about that. Lehariel Leet's got a few tricks up her sleeve... and the Legion of the Wolf's gonna see what! I'm packin' heat! Well, magical heat, at the least...

And with that, Lehariel headed off - patience was a virtue, after all, and not heading off onto the next floor alone without your guild was also a very important virtue, even if it were a rather obscure virtue. And, who knows? Maybe something interesting would be heading her way soon enough...

✧ DAY 7 - Genesis City, Inn "Eden Hall" - 8AM-12AM ✧

7/23/2076

Dubstepp casually woke up without any drowsiness. He simply sat up on his bed and looked around the room for a moment. He couldn't help but hope that the surrounding walls would transition into his old room. He managed to go to sleep early this time, but even then, he couldn't shake the feeling. He scratched his head roughly, not quite sure how to handle himself. He had been counting the days since the incident.

"Happy One Week Anniversary," he muttered. Dubstepp hurried to the shower room to cleanse his body of possible bed bugs and lint. The shower remained cold yet refreshing against his bare skin. He closed his eyes for the entire experience. Despite some slight differences, the water did seem real. Dubstepp continued scrubbing roughly, not certain if he was truly making any progress. He wondered if just stepping into the shower would classify a player as clean. Dubstepp would still need to apply scrubs and shampoo. It would seem unsightly if he didn't.

He returned outside with his proper clothes on after his long shower. Luckily, there were no water bills he had to answer toward. He could take baths as long as he wished. Dubstepp walked down the street; this particular time, he did not have a destination. The whole day yesterday focused on shopping alone. Window browsing, shopping for specific items, and talking to the clerks took a lot of his time. Dubstepp did not have anything on his schedule. He practically had everything he needed for a dungeon trip. And he was becoming very frugal with his money, he expected he should save some money for emergencies.

Thinking back to the quests offered around this time, he found no solution to his unproductiveness. All the quests weren't going to cut it for him. They would have taken a while to complete. He then remembered Watchmaster Loran. The musician thought back to his first quest; standing around and guarding the place only for a handful of Renn. He snapped his fingers and chose that he could help him out again. The job was simply easy and did earn Renn. Hopefully, this second quest will give Dubstepp an advantage or give him more of a footing into Loran's trust.

Dubstepp scratched his head again for the second time today. There was still the problem of doing something until tonight. Walking more down the street, he realized he came across the pub that he visited a few days ago. He blinked his eyes, trying to recall the performance he initiated. Not a lot of people were present at the time, but they still gave a round of applause. Not sure if NPCs have a taste of music or they are just programmed to like anything.

Dubstepp tapped his waist, his mind was rambling right now on what to do. He began to check his stats and noticed his music skill. He initially picked the skill for his love of music, but probably would have chosen another useful option considering as of a week ago this turned into life or death scenario. Thinking more about it, Dubstepp finally gave in and decided to have an ounce of courage. This was a special day after all. The musician needed to do something amazing on his one week anniversary of surviving this hell hole.

He walked further down the road before stopping. He witnessed a lot of foot traffic through the streets. Pedestrians spoke to each other as they crowded the streets. Some of them must have had jobs to start or others were trying to get to a specifc store. Dubstepp hugged the walls of one of the buildings. He took some quick breathing exercises and calmed his nerves. Unequipping his lute, he started to strum his fingers against the wire.

"Meet me by the pool table,
Tell you about them old fables,
when we were able and grateful,
reading the bible, becoming too playful,
now we've been disabled,
necks wrapped in cables,
Big Boss took your Paypal.
He got us stuck in April,
bending over for too much ----.
It's pretty fatal.

They say jump and we say how high,
because all they see is small fry,
and we don't know how to multiply,
we just standby and comply,
to the Big Guy,
when he crucifies us in July and
denies our supplies for black and bow ties,
watching us as we lie and try to pass by with tongue ties and broken cries,
must exemplify and modify and satisfy the golden alumni,
Boss tells us to retry and expects a nice reply,
I say "I smell pork" because this is a ------ pigsty.

Prisoned from 9-to-5,
yet I'm still alive learning how to survive and thrive
on diners, drive-ins, and drives
because in time, I'll be able to afford proper delights
for future wives and cooler lives,
only few days of filing archives,
and their backs will know knives.

Not talking in the murderous sense,
but I am on that war fence,
Climbing the ladder so watch your manners,
because I will be the last laughter,
and after, I'm much faster to gather backers,
never meet a better rapper slacker known to master
what matters, never staggers against whackers and attackers,
more fame than Saturn or the latter,
rather chug the Jaeger
than become a hungry actor down the crapper.

Watch me flow onto a new pattern,
the old kid from that new tavern,
coming for your position,
so listen to my prediction
so you can set some provisions
and pray to your religion,
I am the most voted,
money in my pocket, totally loaded
Sorry to say: "YOu've JUST BEEN DEMOTED."

Dubstepp felt that this was a worthy note to leave on. His fingers came to stop once he chose to take his bow. Some individuals stayed and listen while others kept moving forward. "My name is Dubstepp; thank you, everyone." He did not unequip his lute as he still had more lines on his mind. A smile was written across his face. With some performances now and then, he would accomplish his goal in no time.

So he spent the entire afternoon performing to the passerby. The hours went by until he had to stop for the better of his health. His fingers were beginning to get blisters and his voice was cracking a bit. Dubstepp really had not done this for more than ten minutes. Fortunately, it looked like some people appreciated his music. Dubstepp bowed again to signal the end of his presentation.

He took the rest of the day to calm his vocals by drinking some water from a bar. The musician simply waited until the time came by for him to pick up the quest. He looked at his wrist to see the time. There was no wristwatch attached to him, but he did like pretending. "Oh, it's almost 8:30. I better take my leave."

It probably wasn't though it felt like it. Dubstepp marched his way to Loran's position. There was no hesitation as he knew where the place was. The trainer hoped that the Watchmaster remmembered him. It's been less than a week, but almost a week. (If that makes sense...) The trainer saw the important NPC from a distance. Shifting his arms back and forth, he proceeded to jog over to Loran's position.

"Trainer apprentice slash musician reporting for duty. Need me to stand around again?" Dubstepp joked. He certainly was not sure if Loran was the joking type. They barely had any conversation last time he volunteered for service. "So what's the suspicious activity?" He questioned.

Dubstepp used no Renn.
Dubstepp has 573 Renn left.
