Making his way back to his companion, Theo led Karma over to the pregenerated Coffin along the side and back of the Town hall. There, Kajin Najin was present - his face unblemished and appearing just as it did when they first met. Theo remained calm at first, not speaking for nearly 30 minutes into the funeral.
"This is Kajin. You met him once, but I'm not really sure how close you were to him. He and Aster were the first people I met here."
Theo paused for a few seconds, tears welling in the corner of his eyes as he spoke again, albeit in a shakier voice.
"I don't think anyone really mentioned it, but he died in his sleep... Someone probably pulled the nerve gear off of him, or something happened while he was moved to the hospital."
Theo collected himself, solely through the Acting skill. He felt like falling to the ground and crying. This game was supposed to be a gift - a chance to leave the shitty, useless version of himself behind. But instead, it was a fight of life and death...
"I... I know there was nothing I could do for Kajin. B-but even then... I nearly let you and Alisea die last night. The reason I invited you here wasn't to apologize though."
Theo calmed himself again - he had to make a conscious effort to not cry at the stress. Even having been a medical student, he had never felt this horrible before.
"You're the only person in the guild who I know can heal... The reason I invited you was because I feel like we're the ones with the most responsibility. I feel like if anyone dies, it's because I wasn't good enough."
"I just want to let you know - if you ever have any doubts, or you're worried about something, anything at all - I'll be there. I'm the tank, and you're the Healer - as long as you do your best to keep the group survive, I'll be happy."
After the Funeral was done, Theo spoke with Karma again - this time, a goodbye.
"Sorry for getting all heavy and shit on you there! I know that it probably seemed lame as hell, but I feel better that it's off my chest. See ya tomorrow, Karma"
Theo left, making his way back to the inn to pay for his room and eat dinner. The funeral opened his eyes - he was trapped in the game to be Dirk. Dirk was strong, and could keep everyone safe. He was a hero - and while Theo didn't want to ever go into a dungeon and risk someone's life again, he knew that the others would never stop just to stay safe.
So Dirk would have to protect them, like he always did in the other games Theo played. Dirk the guardian, Dirk the defender. Dirk the resolute would defend the party as much as he could. If he was lucky, their would be no more deaths.
And if he was unlucky, at least the next person to die would be himself.
After eating his meal, Theo decided to quickly use what he had in order to make some money. Theo always read the newsletter and announcements that were public, and had been itching to sign up for the subscription sold by the Data Link 66 Guild. Given his poor financial situation, however, Theo chose to head to another guild house in order to make some quick cash.
The White Templars.
Not much was known about them, other than the fact that they were willing to buy info related to the dungeons - just what Theo had at his disposal.
Theo arrived a the somewhat small building on the south side of the city. It stood two stories tall, bearing a simple oaken exterior that was painted a similar color to the surrounding homes and buildings. While no mansion by any means, when compared to the Legion's constant drain of wealth by renting rooms, the guild house of the White Templars was a veritable paradise. Theo spent several seconds standing still and being impressed with the fact that players owned actual land and a building, but quickly reminded himself why he came. Just as he made his way to the door, Theo spotted a younger man out of the corner of his eye and, after waving him over, introduced himself.
"Good Morning, sir! Are you a member of the Templars? I, Dirk Davidson, have information related to the dungeon known as 'The Hill's sorrow.' If possible, I'd like to speak with Crystalball about it."
"Welcome to the White Templars, Dirk Davidson." The young man greeted Dirk in a reserved manner, his robes flowing as he stepped towards him. "Crystalball is inside, if you will follow me..."
Following the robed individual at a small distance, Theo silently admired the interior. It wasn't as large or as impressive as the inns interior, but was still very homely, and the fact that the guild actually owned it was impressive. It took only a dozen or so seconds of walking to make it to a single individual, a man who was resting in what appeared to be a common room of the building. Quickly, Theo introduced himself to the man he presumed to be Crystalball.
"It is a pleasure to meet you! Dirk Davidson is my name, and I have come in response to the request your guild has made for dungeon information."
"Ah," Crystalball rose up from his comfortable chair to extend his right hand towards Theo. "Knowledge is appreciated. A pleasure to meet you friend, I am Crystalball."
Theo grabbed the hand with far more force than necessary, and shook it just as roughly. "A pleasure to meet you as well!"
The handshake continued for nearly 10 seconds before Theo let go, and began to speak.
"The information I have on 'The Hill's Sorrow' is complete - the monsters, most of their abilities, the general layout, and even some of the possible loot. Before I say anything, however, I must know how much you are willing to pay." Theo winked, and like most of his actions so far, it was very exaggerated. "Me and my guild would love to get a house as nice as this one, after all."
Crystalball clearly looked slightly uncomfortable at Dirk's vigorous handshake but he didn't lose his calm demeanor. "The entirety if the dungeon? Complete with all the data such as loots, monsters....?" Crystalball scratched his chin slightly in contemplation. "I assume then, you are that party that managed to beat the dungeon for the first time?"
Theo quickly gave his signature thumbs up and smile, before responding to the man. "That's right! Cleared the place out, we did!"
Theo then began to speak in a lower, much calmer tone of voice.
"I am willing to wait as long as you would like as you decided on what you feel would be a fair price. Just know that all the information I give you will be true - Dirk Davidson isn't a liar."
"Hmm.... And I assume everyone you cleared this dungeon with has access to this information? Well, unfortunately that would devalue it..."
Shit. Quickly, Theo pretended to be dismissive towards the comment, waving his hand in a similar fashion.
"They haven't told anyone yet, and I'm not sure if they even look at the announcements. They'll be too busy preparing to clear the floor dungeon, and by that point, you'll have had plenty of time to do whatever you wish with the information."
Theo had no clue if that was true, but he did know that if any of the guild did tell anyone about the dungeon, they didn't go in depth. Why would they, when a large portion of the player base probably didn't even plan to go to dungeons and were just going to farm weaker mobs.
".... Hmm...." Crystalball contemplated. He nodded towards another guild member. "I can offer you 3 golds."
Theo silently sat where he was, thinking carefully - 300 Renn was more than he had honestly expected, and he was very eager to accept. However, he planned future business with these individuals, and showing too much excitement could make them undercut him in the future.
"That's a deal I can accept! Very well, where would you like me to start?"
Theo proceeded to describe the dungeon the best he could remember, from the various monsters, to the loot they received, and even the locations of the monsters on the map. While he wasn't able to supply stats, Theo was very clear on the dangerous boss, as well as the ghost wolves that the party faced. Upon finishing, he was quickly paid his 3 gold, and left the house. On his way to the inn, he stopped buy a vendor NPC, and sold his Buckler, Leather Armor, common longsword, and the potion of resilience. This, along with the renn from the information, led to a pretty sum of 719 renn. Heading back to the inn, Theo quickly went to bed for the night.
"This is Kajin. You met him once, but I'm not really sure how close you were to him. He and Aster were the first people I met here."

DAY 7 - Genesis City - 9AM
Waking up to the warm rays of light coming through his window, Theo rose from bed ready to start the day. He payed for shower and breakfast, before making his way to the Data Link 66 Guild house, and after an hour or two to travel there and pay for it, he successfully got a subscription. The information would be expensive, but anything was worth knowing what was happening in the game.
After reading the first PM, Theo made his way to the Arena. He had been wondering since he had gotten them, but the spells he had gotten were incredibly powerful - to the point that he wanted to test them out on an opponent. Of course, going out in the wilderness was dangerous, and he didn't want to inconvenience his friends.
After visiting the apothecary and the fountain in order to top off his health and mana, Theo arrived at the arena to see that there were several other players already there. As it turned out, many players dueled in the arena due to it being spacious and a place that fighting was expected to be done. Theo watched a few fights occur, before making his way closer to a group of players talking with one another. Theo didn't want to interrupt them, so he simply waited and listened to see if there was anything interesting that they would do.
