• Attacked by a Rougarou but managed to survive

• Pious- Victor is a devout Christian man, bordering zealot, who believes he is doing God's work in being a part of the Order and ridding the world of these infestations of evil.
• Scars- Deep scar on the right hand side of his face has rendered his right eye partially blind. His face mask is to cover his mouth from swallowing anything unwanted, as well as hide acid burns.
• Duellist- Using his rapier, Victor learnt how to properly defend himself in a fight. It was made even more important due to the part of England he grew up in. One wrong look could end up in a rather vicious scrap. Even a holy man has to protect himself and his church.
• Crusader- He is a self proclaimed Warrior Priest.
• Studious- Enjoys reading to gain knowledge, especially religious texts and scriptures, and information to assist in goals.

• Born in 1802 in England, Durham
• Father ran the local church, it was only a matter of time before Victor would join him.
• Father dies in mugging, Victor takes over at a young age of 17.
• Two years later, Victor was told of groaning near the church. No one would go near.
• Found a group of flesh-eating monsters, later discovered they were Ghouls, one of which resembled his Father.
• Mother entered a state of shock from seeing her husband and died from heart attack.
• Victor slayed the ghouls. Scar given by his father that day.
• Found people were missing from the Parish. Followed trails.
• Discovered flock of Byakhee. Attempted to fight.
• Acid was spat on his lower face, causing burn scars.

Personality: The Christian Warrior Saint is an eccentric man. He has no quarrels in hiding his beliefs, that of his God and the beliefs of himself. He's open to listening to other's problems and likes giving emotional support whenever he cans. He often preaches holy prayers in battle to inspire himself and in hopes to inspire those around him. Victor also holds a church service every Sunday within the order and runs his own chaplaincy for those who wish to come to him.

gleaned from contact with The Yellow King.

  I’m the only one left… and I don’t know why [+]

  31st of October in the year 1820,
  I still can’t seem to come to terms with what happened two weeks ago after what any family would consider a normal dinner. The day had started like any other, I was helping father in the shop with a custom rifle order someone had requested as a gift for their soon to be of age son. My eldest brothers have long since moved out of our home and left to do other practices, not wanting to take up the gunsmithing mantel that our family has held for generations upon generations. Never mind that however, as that is not what I am meant to write about. People wish to know what happened, yet I cannot speak it without fear of reliving that horrible night and reverting back to the ‘hysterics’ the rude doctor told me I had been in. I would like to tell you what time it was when I was awoken by the earth shattering screech of my sister Elaina, but the Grandfather clock we had on the landing seemed stuck at such an odd time; 3:33 in the early morning. Thinking someone had broken into our home I rushed out of the room I shared with Anabel, the youngest of my sisters at the young age of 4. So small… so innocent… unaware of the fate that would be meeting her as I took her in my arms to bring her down the steps where I thought I heard my father’s voice. My parent’s room was on the first floor of our home, tucked near father’s workshop so he would not have far to go if he worked late into the night as he often did. As I stepped into our sitting room I nearly slipped on a wet floor, odd considering the floor was dry before we went to bed and Mother was not known for cleaning so late into the sleeping hours. Turning the corner into the main room what I saw there froze me in fear, my mother, splayed out like the dolls Anabel enjoyed playing with; her nightgown torn at the abdomen where my father worked diligently on removing what organs rested there. Beside my mother was her innermost woman part, the thing that was my father but most certainly could not be was circling the bloody organ with my Mother’s intestins, stopping at the third circling.
  
  I still could not understand what was happening, neither could my Sister Elaina who was standing at the entrance of her own first floor room, hands over her mouth. Unlike me however, she was able to compose herself enough to try to run away. The sound of her footsteps snapped my father’s head up and directed his attention to the mother to be. My sister was only staying with us because her Husband was away on a business trip and she wished to visit us as she was so close to giving birth. He pounced like a Lion that stalked it’s prey and was ready to feed, his night clothes covered in my mother’s blood, how could I not hear her screams before Elaina’s?
  
  Before I had a chance to act, to even say anything or hush the crying child in my arms my father plunged the kitchen knife into my Eldest Sisters back. What I saw next was the very process of what he had done to my mother, his rough gunsmith hands lacking the fine cut of a surgeon. I screamed, I couldn’t help it, the sound tore from my throat like a Banshee’s howl in the night as I watched my father but not my father slice into my sister’s belly and pull out the baby that had been growing within while she still lived. He studied the child for a moment before setting it down, the child twitching yet lungs still full of fluid as it still remained in the uterus. Until that monster cut it out and sliced the chest wide open. How was I still watching this, I do not know, I still do not know how I could stand there and watch him snap the ribcage wide open, each tiny rib pulled apart at intervals of three so they were splayed yet still attached at oddly increasing heights of three. How was i able to watch him then circle the baby still in the nest that was my sisters uterus three times? How was I able to watch him do the same to my 16 year old brother who raced down the steps, now splayed before me with his ribs much like the baby who never had a chance to live? How was I able to withstand watching him kill little Anabel in my arms and pull out her own tiny organ that would never know the growth of a child at my feet?
  
  How… how in this godless world was I then able to watch him sheer off his ears from left to right with a flap of skin following revealing his skull? How was I able to watch him slash across his eyes so he knew darkness and how was I able to keep my stomach when He pulled the dulled blade down from the top of the bridge that begun his nose and skinned both nose and mouth away from his face before simply staring at me with sightless eyes? How was it only then, covered in my little sister’s blood, was I untouched before the world around me went dark and my mind replayed 3:33, ribs elevated in 3s at small 3 intervals, a uterus ringed 3 times by intestins, a face skinned in 3 motions with a jaw still working but saying nothing, before I finally lost sight in the world only to wake up surrounded by white? I don’t know. I have no answers to any of these question, I only know that something possessed my father that night to kill all but me.

Background: • Born in Italy with one younger brother, she was born from a Gypsy mother and a Sicilian father.
• She was raised closer to her Gypsy side and was influenced greatly by her mother and stayed with her while her brother with her father.
• When Aela was nearing her teens her mother was attacked by strange people who erected ugly statues and kept a foreign tribal man hostage.
• Aela met hunters when attempting to enact her own revenge on those who hurt her mother. In that moment she was recognized for her bravery.

The papers in the books barely described various beings and symbols but not enough to make snes of it. The only phrase that ever stuck out as a complete thought was “ The Elder Sign”.

Traits: Bookworm, Socially Awkward, Intelligent, Brave, Knowledge-hungry.

Equipment: A bookbag containing various tomes of different sizes and states of wear and tear. The tomes each carry a different symbol etched into the leather facing, the symbols in question are of an unknown origin to him. The books themselves do not have many pages, and the pages within are worn and difficult to read or in some foreign languages. Outside of this, he carries with him, a small knife as well as some writing supplies.

Background: - Enrolled at Oxford University to study History and became obsessed with unearthing hidden secrets of the world

-Unearthed a volume of hidden texts, that to him, were very intriguing though confusing. He then took these books and started to study them and pour over them in great length though they yielded no further truth or history of a world he knew. Decided it was largely fiction.

-Was confronted about these books and what he knew of his contents by his professors and became very wary of the way they asked about the subject of “Elders” and “The Sign”.

-Left the university to study further and find more information on the tomes in secret, away from the prying eyes of the university and traveled towards Bohemia, in search of answers to what he held on to and to find out the real truth of the world and what really shaped the events of the past.

Personality: Jon likes to keep to his books and likes to be where his own social safespace is. He’s not good with social interactions and will likely be very short or abrupt with people when explaining something. He’s a good man, but he’s also very matter-of-fact. He is driven by a thirst for knowledge and will not stop until he has a full understanding of the world he lives in, even if it kills him or drives him mad.
