Yang Bethlehem

Listening to the entire story and comforting Kira, Yang made her way to bed after ensuring Kira went first.

What a mess. Yang had her hands over eyes, certainly not expecting that story.

It was a dreamless night for Yang.

Waking up and doing her routine exercises, she headed inside the house before recalling that Ozzy was no longer there.

Huh, I hope he keeps his training up. She sighed and went to clean herself, taking a bit more time for herself for today.

The moment she left, refreshed herself and came down. She lazily waved to everyone before taking a quick breakfast, bread wasn't her thing. It was a bit harder compared to the softer manjuu and less energy compared to rice.

Looking at the multiple job request, her eyes glanced towards Kira, who seemed unusually resolute.

Going to take a look at the job out of curiosity, whatever plans or thoughts she had flew out of the window when she realized what job she took.

Not again.

Yang immediately head towards Kira side, wanting to stop her but thought better.

"I won't ask you to change your mind." She got right into the matter. "Just follow my lead and don't be reckless."

"It won't be just you that they'll be targeting if they learn of your identity, but the entire guild too." Yang stretched her necks to the sides, it was going to be like Ozzy all over again. Hopefully, they managed to get some good disguise before they engage. "So make sure they don't know it was our guild that was involved, okay?"

"Good morning! I'll get down first and get us something to eat before choosing what we will do today."
Freyr

"Hrrrmmm... can't it wait, Freyr?" Haley whined in the bed, still wanting to sleep. "Can't we cuddle some more in the bed? Last night was pretty... tiring. Hehe~"

Once she saw her partner get up completely though, the Siren had no choice. "Ugghhh... Fine!" She buried her face into her pillow for a few moments before completely waking.

“Ditzy-kun, I know you’re strong, but perhaps we should excerise caution on this quest. After all, they’ll have us outnumbered!”
Nagare

"Why don't we join in then?" Haley joined the conversation along with Freyr. "We might still be outnumbered but some extra heads will even the playing field somewhat. We can even include Ada, since she'll need something to do and someone to watch her now that her main caretaker, Ozzy, is gone."

A furious Sir Reed then stepped in. "Have you heeded nothing of what I said?!" He scolded the assembled party. "If you take on these warrior monsters, no doubt they will fall for Ditzy and Freyr's combat prowess. The monsters will swarm over them." He said. "You, Haley. Your beloved bunny man will have a harem of warriors formed around him. Are you okay with that?"

The Siren was taken aback. "W-Well, I-I mean... if that's what Freyr wants then..."

The two women made their way south, not stopped by Bart at all. Yang might want to explain in detail the situation to Kira about Bart and his wariness of Varjo on the way. Nothing of note happened during their trip. Thankfully, as they will need all their energy for this quest.

Once they arrived at their destination by midday, they were met by several large boulders by the road from where a squad of five men jumped out and surprised the duo with spears at the ready. They wore leather and fur armors, their faces hardened and gruff. Even the younger ones in the squad had that veteran look. They were Tribal Spearmen, usually in the service of Varjo.

However, they did not attack the duo. "Taas niyo kamay niyo! Taas! Sabi ko, taas!" One of the spearmen spoke Sonarran, ordering Yang and Kira. Sounds like these were rebels the Guild was aiding this day. "Up! Up! Hands!"

While you were walking towards Ambran, a wagon suddenly pulled up beside you. Aboard this wagon were the familiar faces of Talia and Neil. "Hey now, it won't do for noble Demoness like you to be walking on foot. Hop on aboard, Vară!" He would then help you up the wagon and the trio made their way to Ambran.

"I'm actually just going to Ambran to buy building supplies for the Guild. I'll be dropping you two off and then we'll be parting ways." Talia said from the driver seat. Wait, did she say 'two'?

"Yeah, I-I'll be joining you for this quest Vară." Neil scratched the back of his head. "I-I know I'm no figher, and I'll probably just get in the way but... it's kinda lonely to be tackling a quest by yourself, right?"

Regardless of your answer, the wagon galloped on under the clear midday sky. Nothing incidental happened during the trip, just small talk between Neil and Talia before the former remembered something and turned to you. "Ah, that's right. I'm sorry I couldn't talk to you much during the festival. My hands were kinda full that day sooo, sorry." He smiled sheepishly.

Ditzy Stoneclub

Hearing Reed shouted at them made him wince his ears before stabilizing himself, he was all ready to leave with a foot outside the guilds door.

"But no one strong enough, and blonde strong lady left with fly girl." Ditzy gestured his head to the sides, nearly falling down before catching himself by planting a foot down. Once he was sure he won't fall again, he looked to Reed with a smile. "So Ditzy is the strongest here!"

Which was true, after all, aside from Ditzy and Freyr, the rest of the guild friends weren't strong enough for a head-on physical fight. Or at least, not as specialized as they were.

"Don't worry about Frey!" Ditzy grinned at Haley. "Ditzy will beat them all up!"

Then at the corner of his eyes, he spotted Ada, gesturing and going to his knees for her to come closer. Ditzy patted Ada head affectionately and gently like how his mother does for him. "Wanna come and play with others? Lizardman are strong and fast!"

His father told him plenty of stories, how he often tried to avoid them despite being strong.

That only pushed Ditzy to prove himself even more, something that even his father couldn't do, he would succeed! Maybe they can even be friends afterward.

"Also, can get more friends to play! Maybe even for Ditzy village too!" Ditzy threw his hands up excitedly at that, taking Ada aback by his sudden movement.

Regardless of Reed advice, Ditzy will make his way to the quest site.

@Rezod92

Yang Bethlehem

"Kira, while we're heading there. Be aware, the reason our guildmaster didn't want us to be seen supporting the rebellion against Varjo is that they'll target the guild and anyone associated with us. Boreal port, Ambran, anyone and everyone that we associated with." Yang gave the short rundown of the Bart relation and adamant warning. "Varjo is a large nation, and with far more soldiers."

"So for this mission, we'll have to wear disguises." Yang gestured as she whispered quietly to her. "Don't tell Bart but I did this once behind his back and with Ozzy as well."

"I'll have to keep my hair blonde for now, but unless there's some dye nearby, I doubt I can change it that fast." She rubbed her forehead, not expecting the day to turn out like this. "Maybe I can use some rag and tie a headband to keep my hair hidden?"

Either way, the duo moved to the appointed location. Once there, Yang instinctively felt eyes on them. She idly prodded Kira gently and pretended to look straight ahead.

"Keep your eyes forward, we're being watched."

It was a tense moment as they finally reached the boulders, the moment they reached it, Yang saw movement at the corner of her eyes and immediately had her back against Kira.

She didn't recognize these men, odder was their attire as it seemed far more tribal compared to the usual resistance that Maria was part of.

Her stance taken, Yang warily watched them as they got closer. They have yet to attack them after all.

"I think they're the ones who request our help." Yang wondered if these were the clients. Slowly, she raised her hands up and left them open.

"Are you the ones who send request to The Guild?" She spoke to them and shuffled her feet to the sides. Ready to retaliate if anything goes wrong.

🔥Vară Riemsianne🔥

@PaulHaynek

Having been caught off guard by the sudden carriage, Vară jumped in surprise - quickly adopting a defensive stance and preparing a fire spell. Upon closer inspection however, she soon wore an expression of cute shock when it was revealed that Neil and Talia were the ones on board. “Wha…*ahem* I mean, I didn’t expect to see you two here. You really shouldn’t try to surprise me like that, I could’ve charred you both to cinders! Honestly…” She gently flicked her bangs away from her face, then placed a hand on her hip whilst looking up at her new company. “Well, I suppose I can’t argue with Neil’s logic, I will allow you the honor of escorting me to my destination.” She promptly hopped aboard the carriage, hiding the fact that her feet were tired and sore from the walk.

Vară could do little to hide the blush covering her face when Neil announced that he will be joining her on this quest; Talia would leave them to their devices while buying supplies for the Guild. She looked away for a moment, cheeks still rosy. Her arms were folded in her lap, eyes darting back and forth, and she had a nervous fidget. “Uh...I...I see.. That...sounds good.” She nervously peeped. She was snapped out of her stupor, however, when Neil starts trailing on about his insecurities.

“You shouldn’t say things like that! Everyone has their value, the other members have special advantages and experience yes, but you can be every bit as useful! Have you forgotten that you saved my life once? I honestly think you should have more confidence in yourself, everyone starts somewhere after all. You should have more pride in yourself, Neil.” She ended her sentence with a warm smile.

Finally catching herself, Vară turned to the side, scratching her cheek with an awkward expression. She surprised herself, not even she knew where all that came from. I really hope none of that sounded corny, she thought to herself. She tried to change the subject in order to break the awkwardness.

“So, this Ian North person, how much do you know about him? Does he seem like someone we would want to work with?”

🌊Nagare🌊

@Restalaan@13org@PaulHaynek

Nagare saw Freyr, Haley, and Sir Reed walk up and greeted them with a bow. She listened intently as Sir Reed sharply warned them about the dangers of taking on warrior mamono; not only were they really strong, but apparently they are wooed by the combat prowess of strong male fighters. She quickly looked to Dtizy to reiterate the weight of Sir Reed’s words, but she just as quickly saw that this seemed to spur him on even more. She could only sigh at her comrade, she at this point but all too familiar with his ways. She then turned to Freyr, who she wasn’t aware was in a relationship with Haley.

“Goodness Freyr-san, I had no idea about you and Miss Haley~ I’m so happy for the both of you!” She daintily clasped her hands together and tilted her head to the side. She then gasped when she thought about how the implications of the quest might affect their relationship. That was until Haley revealed that she might be okay with it if it came down to it.

“Oh my… I believe those would be one of those ‘harems’ I’ve heard some speak of before.” Still worried about Ditzy, even though by his people’s standards was considered an adult, turned to Ada. “Perhaps we should help kind an eye on the boys, things have become quite complicated it seems.” Ditzy was already making his way out the door, and unless there was anything else to go over Nagare would soon follow.

Ada

@PaulHaynek@Restalaan@AzureKnight@Rezod92

Ada watched as the other members started to choose among the notes in the board. Having already seen them doing it before, she had an idea of how things worked already. She watched Ditzy taking one of the requests and going on his way with a big smile on his face and almost considered following him, until she heard Haley calling her name.

Turning towards the siren, Ada looked at her, tilting her head as she heard what she had to say carefully. The moment she ended and Ada realized that she wanted to take her with them, she turned towards the group Haley was talking about and then to Haley again, with a smile on her face and nodding her head excitedly, a clear indication that she was ready to go.

She didn't understand why Sir Reed seemed to be so mad about them going though as he scolded the rest of the party. Maybe he wanted to go too? Going nearby Sir Reed, Ada gently grabbed his hand, pointing towards the group and giving it a little pull, before looking towards him and tilting her head in confusion. If he was mad because they didn't invite him, he would be happy if Ada did, right?

After she did that though, Ditzy turned towards her, patting her on the head and asking if she wanted to play with the lizardmen, mentioning that they were both fast and strong just before Nagare looked to her, saying that they should both go help Ditzy. Excited with the idea, Ada let go of Sir Reed's hand, Nodding her head energetically to both Ditzy and Nagare before giving a small jump of happiness.

Freyr

Freyr still had a discreet smile on his face, remembering how adorable Haley's reaction was upon waking up. He would be sure to let her sleep a bit more and just keep cuddling her a bit before waking up the next day. Turning his attention towards the request that Ditzy had taken, Freyr raised an eyebrow, especially seeing what Nagare had said, trying to warn Ditzy.

"That will be... problematic... Maybe you should get another one, Ditzy." he said, looking to Ditzy. Ditzy wasn't weak, but he was still too innocent and certainly liked to fight. Who knew what the female monster warriors would do to him.

"I do agree someone should go to help Ditzy, but maybe it would be better for it to be a woman?" he asked, turning to Haley, a bit in doubt if he really should go.

When Sir Reed began talking, Freyr couldn't help but agree with him, although he was a bit... taken aback by the what Sir Reed told that might happen, even more so for Haley's reply, which made him immediately go to her side and gently embrace her.

"I love you Haley. No one else." he said, in a low tone to her, a bit embarrassed by the words he was saying himself, though that didn't make them any less true.

"We can still go to help Ditzy if you want but... Maybe we should get another request? Like that one... It doesn't sound as... 'risky' as the one Ditzy took..." he said, pointing towards the request named "The Great Horizon 3" one.

The moment he said that, Nagare turned towards both him and Haley, mentioning that she was happy that they became a couple. No matter if she became aware of that fact by Sir Reed's words or his small public display of affection, it still made him happy, although a bit embarrassed.

"Thanks, Nagare. I am really lucky to have met her." he said with a small smile as he let go of Haley, still holding her hand though.

Listening to Ditzy's reply to Sir Reed's words, it became obvious he had his mind set on going to that particular request. Even though the reasons he gave were honestly quite good, it would be still a complicated request for a male.

"Besides... Ada seems to like the idea of playing with the Lizardmen too. Although I'm a bit worried of letting the two go by themselves..." Freyr said, chuckling at how innocent both Ditzy and Ada were.

"It would be good if someone a bit more... responsible... could go with them." he said, chuckling as he looked to Nagare.

"The decision is still yours, Haley. I am happy as long as you're happy." he said with a sweet smile as he looked to her.

Sir Reed sighed and shook his head when he saw Ditzy justify himself before heading out the door with Nagare. Ada was also excited to go and Reed saw no reason to stop her. Exasperated, he told Ada, "Knock yourself out, Ada. Maybe the Lizardmen there can figure out what you are."

"I love you Haley. No one else. We can still go to help Ditzy if you want but... Maybe we should get another request? Like that one... It doesn't sound as... 'risky' as the one Ditzy took..."
Freyr

Haley giggled. "I'm flattered, hun. Really, I am. I'm glad that you only have eyes for me." The Siren then looked at her lover dead in the eye. "But you have to promise me that you won't break another woman's heart for me, alright? I don't mind, okay? It's how we monsters roll. Just... let me know, alright? Not that you can keep a secret like that from me."

"But alright, we'll do that one instead. I'm no fighter and I don't think I'd wanna square up with a bunch of warrior monsters." Haley had made her decision.

"I'll go join Nagare in looking after Ditzy, then." Sir Reed also said.

Ditzy led the Guild members to Lozagon Forest and behind him were an equally-excited Ada and their chaperones, the ice dragon Nagare and Sir Reed who had come with despite protesting the presence of males for this quest.

They were about to cross the bridge to a river when they happened upon a small caravan with assorted monsters with it: Lizardmen, Minotaurs and Orcs. The three wagons of the caravan were being pulled by large boars and had all sorts of stuff in them: Supplies, tents, weapons and armor. "Looks like the warrior monsters' left Lozagon Forest..." Sir Reed remarked.

The caravan was also heading the Guild members' way. "...and heading south towards us, it seems." Reed turned towards his fellow members. "Do we come up with a plan or do we just charge and hope for the best? I prefer the former, by the way."

The Great Horizons 3
~@13org (FYR)~

You and Haley journey to Tulisan Forest, enjoying each other's company. No incident occurred in-between so it was a pleasant stroll through the grasslands for the two of you. "I hope this quest doesn't take us too deep into Tulisan Forest. The southern half is in Varjan territory and we... don't wanna go there." Haley remarked.

Upon arriving at the forest's edge, however, you and Haley immediately come after a man sitting beside a tree. His coat and trousers and shoes all looked expensive, albeit they were worn and dirty as if they had been exposed to the elements for far too long. The man himself was also dirty, his fair skin was caked with dirt and mud. He had a ragged, unkempt beard and he could be heard mumbling as he drew shapes on the soil with a stick.

"What the hell...?"

"Are you the ones who send request to The Guild?"
Yang Bethlehem

"Guild?" The spearman motioned to his fellows to lower their weapons. "Come, come. I take you to Maria."

Yang and Kira was then taken deeper into the rock formations. Hidden behind the large stones was a camp filled with an entire regiment of warriors. Sonarran rebels, armed with Varjan gear. The two women saw Varjan Warriors with their dark armor and fearsome visages and Tribal Brigands who were only clothed in fur and leathers. An emblem of a yellow sun could be seen engraved on their armor to show they were rebels.

Maria was in the middle of the camp, discussing the operation with her sergeants around a campfire. Unlike the others, she wore no armor and was garbed in her usual attire. Yet, all these men followed her lead. "Ah! The Guild, I knew you would come." Maria approached the Guild members with a greeting. "I'm sorry for this but we cannot be too careful. This land is very dangerous."

"Please, over here." Maria motioned to join her in the bonfire. "I recognize Yang the Monk but who is the Beelzebub?"

Have you forgotten that you saved my life once? I honestly think you should have more confidence in yourself, everyone starts somewhere after all. You should have more pride in yourself, Neil.”
Vară Riemsianne

Neil was astounded for a moment by your pep talk. Perhaps it was corny. But then, a bright smile formed as he chuckled in joy. "Thanks for that, Vară. You're the best."

Taking a more confident tone, Neil continued. "To be complimented by a noble lady of the Riemsianne family. Truly, there is no greater honor." He indulged in flowery language. "My humblest gratitude, Lady Vară. Hahaha!"

“So, this Ian North person, how much do you know about him? Does he seem like someone we would want to work with?”
Vară Riemsianne

"Err..." Neil was unsure of what to reply. That probably didn't mean anything good. "I-I heard from the other guild members that he's... eccentric, to say the least. B-But he does pay a lot so there's that."

The carriage soon arrived at Ambran. The town was lively as ever, as expected of a place where trade and commerce was celebrated every day. Activity bustled through the cobblestone streets, rows of vendor stands lined the sides while people and horses and wagons browsed the goods or were making their way to somewhere in the busy town.

You and Neil bade farewell to Talia, who seemed to be glaring at you for some reason. After parting ways, you and Neil made for the guard barracks located at the center of the town. Upon arriving there, a man in a full suit of armor was waiting just outside and leaning on the barracks wall. His gray armor concealed his entire body and had gold decorations as well as blunt spikes on it, likely only for aesthetic.

The man in the armor noticed you and waved over. "Hey! You guys are here! I've been waiting for months for someone to accept my quest, you know?" Months? His quest was up for only a couple of days. "Well, that doesn't matter. You're here and we can get this show on the road." Despite the armor, this man acted more like a naive adventurer or clown.

"Y-You're Ian North, right?" Neil asked.

"The one and only! I do believe I took down an impostor yesterday back in the Boreal Port festival. Turns out, he was great-great-great-great-great-great-grandson, Keith." Ian replied, speaking confidently as if that was the truth. "And you two are... Neil and Vară! Yeah! I've been exerting great effort recognizing the Guild members, you know? You two look cute together, by the way.

Ditzy Stoneclub

Ditzy smiled throughout the entire journey, each step punctuated by a small hop and the thudding sound of his sandbag weapon dropping. Many times, Ditzy nearly slipped and fall flat but it did little to dampen his spirits.

Ditzy only ever heard stories about them, now he was going to see and going to fight one of those lizardmen!

Most of all, he can prove himself as the strongest once again!

Sure, he won but the tiger lady and minotaur still won too. So that counted but didn't count too!

Coming to a bridge, Ditzy eyes wandered around to the stream as he hopped onto the bridge before Sir Reed pointed out that there's something in front of them.

Taking a gander, Ditzy eyes widen as the traveling caravan, a common sight from his village, slowly packed its things and moved forward. Yet his eyes was drawn towards the green color scales of its occupants.

So green, like grass! Head tilted to the sides and he wanted to go forward until Reed asked what should they do since they're moving towards them.

"Simple plan! Ditzy will go up to bridge and challenge them!" Ditzy didn't even hesitate as he explained his plan, pointing a finger to the middle of the bridge. "Lizardman always answer challenge, so just need to beat them up and win!"

An idealistic but straightforward plan, challenge the leader, win, and it'll show that Ditzy was indeed the strongest. Which means the rest will have to follow too!

Ditzy will listen to the rest first but his foot eagerly inched forward towards the bridge slowly. Wanting to fight them head on.

Ada

@PaulHaynek@Restalaan@AzureKnight@Rezod92

Ada was following Ditzy a few steps behind, staying together with Nagare and Sir Reed to make sure they wouldn't get separated. In the middle of their way to the forest though, they saw a peculiar sight just before they were about to cross a bridge over a river, three wagons, being pulled by large boars, which made Ada lick her lips, remembering of the times she hunted those to eat before she met with Ozzy and went to the guild. The wagons were also being escorted by a group with Minotaurs, Lizardmen and Orcs.

Interrupting her curious observation of the monsters ahead of them, Sir Reed mentioned that they had left the forest, which made Ada assume those wagons were what they were searching for. When Sir Reed asked if there was any plan or if they would just charge towards them, Ada simply looked at him and then at the group, tilting her head, confused.

Ditzy's excitement as he mentioned his 'plan', much for both Nagare and Sir Reed's dismay, seemed to pass to Ada too, making her smile to Ditzy and nod excitedly before turning towards both Nagare and Sir Reed again, waiting for their approval. Ada watched many times other animals play fighting among themselves, so she was rather excited with the idea of doing the same.

Freyr

Freyr spent most of the trip to Tulisan Forest mostly enjoying Haley's company in a truly pleasant stroll. While they did talk with each other, even the silence and the stares between them as they watched the scenery was precious to him. When Haley mentioned about the southern part of the Tulisan Forest being Varjan territory though, it made Freyr frown a bit, thinking about what she said.

"It would be good to stay away from it. Not only there were a few... problems in the guild regarding Varjo, but I wouldn't want to put you in a possibly dangerous situation." he said, thinking.

Those thoughts were soon forgotten though as they continued to walk, enjoying each other's company.

The moment they arrived on the forest's edge though, they were greeted by a... strange sight to say the least. In the very edge of the forest, almost in the middle of nowhere, a dirty man wearing rather expensive, although dirty, clothes was simply sitting besides a tree, sticking out like a sore thumb. The immediate thought Freyr had was that either he was a lost noble who spent a good deal of time away from civilization, enough to start losing his mind or... that those clothes he was wearing were stolen from someone.

Despite his silence, he was as bewildered as Haley regarding the man.

"Umm... Excuse me? Who might you be? Are you... lost?" he asked, still uncertain on how to deal with that strange situation.

🔥Vară Riemsianne🔥

@PaulHaynek

Thankfully, it seemed that Neil was quite grateful at Vară’s words of encouragement, and did well to raise his spirits. She giggled as he tried his hand at speaking with a more regal dialect. “Yes, it is good to see that you know your standing. Only few individuals can ever hope to receive such praise from someone of my position, so accept it gracefully!”

As for her next question, Neil’s hesitation to answer already raised a red flag in Vară’s head. It seemed the only word he could use to describe him was ‘eccentric’, which was a sentiment that was shared among all the guild members.

Eccentric? That could mean anything… She silently thought to herself.

Having eventually arrived in the city, she bid a farewell to Talia alongside Neil. Though, she did wonder why she was given such a sharp glare before departing. Vară tried to recall if she did anything during the carriage ride to offend her. Regardless, she followed Neil to the barracks where she guessed they would meet their client. Upon their approach, they were greeted by a knight leaning against the wall adjacent to the entrance. She couldn’t see his face, as it was encased by his helmet.

Neil confirmed that the man was indeed Ian North.

“What? Days? The paper said your request was only made a few days ago!” Needless to say, Vară was taken aback by the knight’s rather silly demeanor. And what was this about taking down his grandson by several generations?

“Sir, enough of your nonsense! Know that you stand in the presence of nobility! You should be grateful that someone of my standing even bothered to accept your request. Now tell us who it is we are supposed to be apprehending. The document stated that there was an evil doer who needed to be subdued?”

🌊Nagare🌊

@PaulHaynek @Restalaan @13org

Nagare enjoyed the leisurely journey to the forest, happy to once again be in the company of her fellow guildmates. She was a little concerned at Ditzy’s overexcitement at the prospect of the quest. If things got too hairy, she would have to rely on the others to mend the situation. Hopefully it wouldn’t come to that. Hopefully…

Upon arriving at a bridgem, they noticed a caravan alongside the river opposite it. They also noticed it was full of dangerous looking mamono: Lizardmen, Orc, and Minotaurs. Adding to that, the caravan seemed to be heading right their way. Sir Reed wanted to discuss how to best handle the situation. To no one’s surprise, Ditzy just wanted to rush headlong into the thick of it and take them on directly. Nagare quickly interjected.

“Ditzy-kun, don’t you recall what Sir Reed discussed earlier? Those mamono down there relentlessly follow male warriors whose prowess impresses them. We should take a moment to think about this.” Nagare put a hand to her chin, pondering to herself for a moment. After a little bit, she turned to the other male chaperone in the party.

“Um, Sir Reed, I know this may sound dangerous, but perhaps Ada and I should handle this first. Since we’re fellow monsters, they may be more inclined to speak with us for a moment. Perhaps if we give the impression that we want to join their group, they may take us back to their camp and allow us to find out where the kidnapped people are. If Ada and I go together, we can keep each other safe. Of course if things don’t go according to plan, you and Ditzy-kun can be our backup.”

Acknowledging that Sir Reed was the senior member of the party, she wouldn’t undertake any action without his ultimate signoff, but right now they didn’t have the luxury to spend too much time planning strategies. She noticed Ada looking at her, apparently wanted to know what to do next.

With a warm smile, she reached a gentle hand out to Ada. "Ada, I was thinking that it'd be best if we meet with those other monsters heading our way. Want to come with me?"

Vivian & Sylvia Altissima

After having taken some quests in the past few days the sisters decided to stay at the guild. The garden and hothouse may not be finished yet, but it was enough to start working. Though they had shared a wonderful dinner with Neil and Sister Riñas at the festival, Sylvia felt that cooking was Vivian's expertise, and if Neil was impressed, then it was thanks to Vivian, and not herself. The sisters spent the day deciding where to transplant the herbs they had brought in their planter; they were lucky that in the few quests they had gone on that the herbs had survived such excitement.

"Are you okay with letting Neil go off with Vară?" Vivian asked.

Sylvia was silent for a moment. Vivian had brought up a difficult topic. "Yes, I'm not too worried," Sylvia replied, "You've seen the type of person he is..." Sylvia sighed. "He's love-dense, I don't think he recognizes when someone is interested in him, or he's great at hiding it. Sure it makes it hard since I don't think he's picked up on my subtlety, but Vară's trying too hard to give off this noble aura that she'll never make the first move. This gives me the advantage, since I have no such qualms myself, and when the time is right, I can choose to be more aggressive. Sure, it's not ideal; every girl wants the one she's interested in to notice her, and we've tried not to let our 'monster' side shine through so that we can coexist with humans, but for someone like Neil, even a human girl would have to resort to being aggressive."

After planting the herbs, the sisters harvested a small amount and made their way to the kitchen where they would prepare their first batch of special nectar cookies for the guild. They wouldn't make very many, enough for everyone to have a taste and offer their opinions. Given that the intent was for the guild members to take them out on journeys as a revitalizing energy supplement, should they make them less cookie-like and closer to hard tack for ease of travel? How would the small amount of nectar effect the other monsters, or even the male monsters?

Keeping It Real 2
~@13org (ADA), @Restalaan (DIT), @AzureKnight (NAG)~

"Simple plan! Ditzy will go up to bridge and challenge them! Lizardman always answer challenge, so just need to beat them up and win!"
Ditzy Stoneclub

“Um, Sir Reed, I know this may sound dangerous, but perhaps Ada and I should handle this first. Since we’re fellow monsters, they may be more inclined to speak with us for a moment. Perhaps if we give the impression that we want to join their group, they may take us back to their camp and allow us to find out where the kidnapped people are. If Ada and I go together, we can keep each other safe. Of course if things don’t go according to plan, you and Ditzy-kun can be our backup.”
Nagare

"You know what, Miss Nagare? That's a really great idea. So great, that we're going to go with that immediately. You hear that, Ada? Please go with Nagare and negotiate something with the warrior monsters before they all decide to pound us to next Tuesday." Sir Reed looked fearful of the incoming caravan, likely intimidated by the group of monsters that could likely beat him thrice over. "Me and Ditzy will hang back and come to your help if things go sideways... Please don't make things go sideways."

With that plan in mind, the four guild members greeted the monster caravan at the bridge. Nagare stood at the forefront with Ada beside her. Ditzy and Reed stood behind them, not too far back. Meanwhile the caravan quickly noticed the four-man blockade on the bridge. They all looked confused at first before they sent their representative: An Ogre, one that was taller than Nagare by one head.

She was typical of her species: Light green-skinned, a pair of sharp horns on her head, pointed ears, long but unkempt silver hair, tattoos, barely dressed in her rags that showed off her bare muscles. She literally looked down on Nagare and spoke. "Nice motley crew you got there, ice dragon. Don't even know what kinda lizard girl you've got there." She referred to Ada.

"So then, do you have business with us or are y'all here to gawk at us?"

"Umm... Excuse me? Who might you be? Are you... lost?"
Freyr

The small greeting elicited a rather disproportionate reaction. "W-Why the shouting?! Why the dancing? Why the laughter?" The man quickly got up and haphazardly hurled his stick at you and Haley. It was so inaccurate that to move to dodge it would just insult the evasive maneuver. "I-I hope I die laughing, I do." He babbled to the couple.

Haley was perplexed but quickly realized what was happening. "...Man's lost it, Freyr."

"M-My great grandfather was a- was wise man! H-He came from the East... West? He-he f-followed a star! That's still me. I'm still following! Still Sam Cabbage-- Cubbage. Still dreaming about Boreal Port. S-Still free!" He tried to explain to you and Haley but he was delirious, his thoughts were all over the place. "Y-You can't just-- We are above! We are civilized men! N-Not like monkeys. We are free!"

"Psst, Freyr. What do we do about this guy?" Haley whispered.

“Sir, enough of your nonsense! Know that you stand in the presence of nobility! You should be grateful that someone of my standing even bothered to accept your request. Now tell us who it is we are supposed to be apprehending. The document stated that there was an evil doer who needed to be subdued?”
Vară Riemsianne

"Alright, alright. Now listen to this..." Ian huddled close to you and Neil and began whispering. "There's been a break-in at the mayor's treasury recently and made off with quite the huge haul. The remaining money has been moved somewhere else safe so that the treasury could be investigated. But here's the thing, I was hired to safeguard the wealth 'cause the town guard's short on manpower. Thus, it's my responsibility to bring back the stolen wealth or at least, bring the thief to justice so that this doesn't happen again."

Ian then led the duo to the town hall, which had more guards patrolling than usual due to the robbery. As the treasury guard, Ian was duly let in alongside you and Neil. He then showed them the treasury room, a large room devoid of anything save for an unlit chandelier on the ceiling and some very small windows high up on the walls to let in sunlight.

"The town money's usually separated into chests and boxes. Each containing a set amount of gold coins for better organization. As the treasury guard, I patrol this room most of the day and have the sole copy to the lock of this room." Ian explained, showing off his silver key that would unlock the steel door of the treasury room. "Unfortunately, I'm not really good at detective stuff so that's why I hired you guys."

Neil breathed a sigh of relief. "Oh, thank God. I thought this quest was gonna involve fighting. I mean, it might... but most likely we're just dealing with thieves. We even have the town guard as backup."

"You two can investigate the room, find anything I missed, or you can talk to the witnesses who caught a glimpse of the break-in. It happened in the dead of night, by the way so there's only a few of them."

The Altissima sisters have elected to stay at the guild in order to prepare some special cookies for their fellow guildmates. However, everyone including Bart had left for their quests or personal errands, leaving the Liliraune alone in the Guild headquarters.

They would expect the place to be quiet save for themselves yet as they approached the kitchen, they would hear noises of drawers opening and the minor clanging of utensils and other sounds of ransacking. Thieves and robbers, perhaps? Believing the Guild to be deserted? The sisters could hear voices from the kitchen should they press their ears against the closed doors.

"Man, they've got a lot of food in here!"

"Yeah, yeah! They're all so yummy!"

"Hey, hey! Why don't we snag us a man while we're here?"

"That's a good idea! ...Which one, though? The redhead guy?"

"Nah, nah. There's something off about him... What about the knight guy?"

"He feels like he's already in love with someone though... Ah, I know! Let's just take the plain guy!"

"Yeah, yeah! Plain boy is perfect!"

The voices were female, and sounded very young. Like teenagers giggling about gossip. The door was a bit ajar, allowing the Altissima sisters to get a peek within the invaded kitchen. They would see a couple of figures, none of whom bode well for the lone Liliraune. They could see a fair-skinned girl with insect features about her, particularly a cockroach with their black-brown wings and appendages; a Devil Bug. The other girl they could see had the ears and the tail of a mouse; clearly a Large Mouse.

Neither of these monster species usually came alone. Who knows how much more of them were in the kitchen, let alone the Guild?

Ada

@PaulHaynek@Restalaan@AzureKnight@Rezod92

Ada heard in silence as Nagare tried to warn Ditzy that things could go bad. While Ada still didn't know exactly why both Nagare and Sir Reed meant by the lizard people 'following' someone strong or why that could be a problem, she decided to trust them, stopping and looking at them instead of continuing following Ditzy as she was. That said, Nagare still had more to say, asking something to Sir Reed about Ada going together with her instead of Ditzy. Ada kept looking at them as they talked with each other, despite not having understood exactly what was Nagare's suggestion, but trusting it was a good one, since Sir Reed seemed to like it.

Nodding with a determined expression as Sir Reed told her to go with Nagare, she looked at her just as she held her hand towards her and asking if she would accompany her. Replying her with a kind smile and a nod, Ada took her hand, ready to follow Nagare.

As they approached the group though, huge, silver haired girl with horns approached them, looking down at Nagare as she asked their reason for approaching them. While Ada was a bit intimidated by the ogre woman's size, since she didn't seem to be particularly aggressive as she approached them, Ada refrained from showing hostility, although it was clear that she was carefully watching every movement the ogre woman made.

Freyr

The only thing that went through Freyr's head as both he and Haley heard the man's reply to their greeting was confusion. His actions were strange... erratic and even as he threw his stick at them, he missed completely. Stumbling over his own words, he began speaking nonsense, inquiring abut a laughter or some dancing... as weird as that sounded, before saying he hoped he would die laughing too.

Looking to Haley with an incredibly confused expression, nodding and agreeing with her as she said he had lost his mind, Freyr turned his attention towards the seemingly insane man once more as he continued his ramblings, telling them how his great grandfather was a wise man came from the east, following a star while in search for... Boreal Port?

"Did he just say... Boreal Port...?" Freyr asked in a whisper as he turned to Haley.

"Maybe... Maybe we should take him to Boreal Port, just as he asked... Who knows how long he wandered through the forest... Maybe that's why he is so delirious..." he continued, still whispering before he gave a step forward to address the strange, ragged man.

"Umm... Mister... Cubbage? We can take you to Boreal Port if you accept our help. They will be able to... take care of you there... I hope..." he said, still a bit shocked by what was happening.

As the duo made for their destination, Yang filled Kira in on the current state of affairs regarding Varjo.

Huh. Well, it explains why Bart was getting on Neil's case. It WOULD be bad if a nation filled with extremist maniacs marked us on their hitlist., Kira thought to herself before a group of armed rebels sprang up and accosted the monk and flygirl. Thankfully, Yang managed to quell their fears and soon, they arrived at the rebel camp. There, the two met their client, Maria.

"Kira Gigas. I'm a new member. Pleased to meet you.", Kira greeted professionally. She felt that jokes weren't called for right now. "Judging by the weapons and armor you rebels are wearing, this caravan raid won't be a cake walk, huh?"

Ditzy Stoneclub

"Aw..."Ditzy visibly deflated when they're going with the other plan, one that Ditzy can't object since most agreed and went ahead immediately.

Nevertheless, he waited from afar though the moment an ogre stepped up, his ears perked up as he looked towards the large green lady.

This group is so fun!

Smiling and waving to catch her attention to greet her and most of all, see how strong they really are. Though from the ogre perspective, it's just a particularly tall goblin waving from afar, albeit, slightly bulkier and muscular compared to most normal goblins.

"Knighty! Think I can win against large green girl?" Ditzy elbow Reed, his action shoving him to sides despite the former probing him lightly.

---

Yang Bethlehem

She released a sigh of relief when they recognized them as their allies, gesturing to Kira with a nod of her head, they quickly moved to follow the group. Moving past the rocky terrain, Yang realized that she wouldn't see this path unless she was familiar with or raised around it.

Then from afar, seeing Varjan knights at the camp had her hackles raised immediately. The only reason she hadn't sprung to action was that their escort didn't even react to it.

That aside, she was lead to the camp and was greeted by a familiar person. Maria!

"Greetings Maria, it's been awhile." Yang bowed to her before moving to introduce Kira. "This is our latest recruit, Kira, a reliable one too."

"If it may not be too much to ask..." She eyed the Varjan armors. "May I be equipped similarly in those...Varjan armors? I'll need a disguise and there's no better than the enemy own."

"Kira Gigas. I'm a new member. Pleased to meet you. Judging by the weapons and armor you rebels are wearing, this caravan raid won't be a cake walk, huh?"

"Pleased ta meet yo' too, Miss Kira. Dat s*** be always nice ta have mighty monsters aid us in our struggle against our Varjan oppressors." Maria replied. "And ya be right, dis will not be easy. Especially dat our enemies will not be Varjans today."

"If it may not be too much to ask... May I be equipped similarly in those...Varjan armors? I'll need a disguise and there's no better than the enemy own."

"Of course! A strange request ta be shizzle, N' therez ain't nuthin' but feel free ta rap ta our quartermasta n' peep if we have armor dat can fit yo' damn body." Maria said. "Although, considerin' yo' damn fightin' style... Wouldn't armor hampa yo' damn movements?"

Once Yang found armor ta disguise her dirty ass wit', Maria showed tha two guild members tha battle plans. An intricate drawin' on da sand n' some rocks placed here n' there signified da terrain n' positions. "You peep, Varjo has contacted their muthaf**in' Orda allies fo' supplies n' weapons. Their muthaf***in' convoy gotta be goin' through da road ova here." Maria pointed at da road surrounded by rocky cliffs. Perfect place fo' a surprise attack. "We gotta ambush tha caravan n' take tha supplies fo' tha cause. Dat s***z a very simple plan, N' therez Ain't nuthin' but no doubt dat tha convoy gotta be heavily protected by armored knights n' maybe powerful mages."

"At da very least, us nibbas cannot let these supplies reach Varjo." maria declared. "A small detachment will be holdin' da road ta act as uh distraction n lowa da Orda forces' guard, da main force will descend from da cliffs n hit da convoy's sides." Da rebel leada finished. "You two can be part o da distractin' force o' da main group. All dat shiz be your choice. Us nibbas be also welcome ta suggestions."

"Listen, Mista Muthaf***in' Cubbage. Why the f*** don't we escort you--" Haley approached da delirious Samuel when da latta pulled out a small tool dat made da Siren recoil in fea n' put her dirty ass back ta yo' damn side. "Whoa! Whoa, easy wit' dat!"

Da s*** was a wood n' steel tool, easily gripped wit' one hand like what Samuel was doin'. Da s*** was L-shaped n' appeared ta have a trigga mechanism o' sorts. "Y-you stay away from me! Yo' two stay away!" Dude yelled at tha couple while carelessly wavin' his muthaf***in' weapon at 'em. "I gotta find me my f***in' Boreal port! I gotta."

"Thatz a glock, Freyr. I don't know if yo' know dat." Haley said. "Itz a very gangbangin' weapon. Dat s***z like a bow n' arrow except dat s***z small, loud, very fast n' tha arrowz as small as a pebble. Might not do enough damage ta us monsters, N' therez Ain't nuthin' but dat s***'ll still probably really hurt."

Samuel kept his glock trained on tha couple as dude began ta head back into tha forest, still believin' dude was goin' ta Boreal port. Dude cackled in madness, havin' trouble keepin' his walkin' straight n' soon lowered his muthaf***in' glock once da dude was fa enough. "Should we still help his ass? I mean, dudez gangbangin' n' all. What the f*** do yo' think we should do?" Haley asked her a******* lova.

🔥Vară Riemsianne🔥

@PaulHaynek

According to Ian, someone made off with the goods stored at the Mayor's treasury last night, stealing away most of the contents. If that'd be the case, it sounded like they were dealing with nothing more than a common thief! If Neil was paying attention, he would've noticed the look of disappointment on Vară's face at the news. Unlike her partner, the demoness was looking forward to taking out criminals who were a little more 'established' on this quest. At the end of Ian's explanation, they had a choice to either examine the room for more info or to question the few witnesses to ascertain the identity of the crook. First they're having to deal with a small time thief, now she has to play detective? Vară slumped her head down, filled to the brim with exasperation which manifested as a sweatdrop on the side of her head. Although, she did feel that a noble should be adept at all they put there hands to.

She turned to Neil. "Well, I feel there doesn't seem to be much to look at in this room aside from some old windows and a gaudy room ornament. We could try get some info from the eye accounts to piece everything together, but it's ultimately your decision." She said, still annoyed at the fact that Ian was basically making them do his dirty work. "Or, I suppose you could look for anything in the room while I ask around. Stumbling about in some musty old room isn't my scene."

🌊Nagare🌊

@PaulHaynek@13org@Restalaan

Despite the gravity of their predicament, Nagare was quite relieved that the group decided on her plan. She did feel somewhat bad for Ditzy's disappointment, but it was for the best. They didn't really have time for debates anyway, as the troupe was nearing them on the bridge. Sir Reed and Ditzy quickly took to the back and tried to remain as inconspicuous as possible. Nagare, along with Ada, calmly walked over to meet with the band of roughnecks. The one they chose to represent their band was an imposing Ogre, a large woman that literally towered over Nagare. Doing her best to hide her nervousness, she began negotiations as planned.

"Oh, hello there! Don't mind us too much, we're just passing through." Nagare said. "Sorry Ada, looks like they're not too keen on you either." She whispered to her companion. "Say, you and your crew look like a pretty awesome band of travelers if you don't mind me saying!." She continued, looking forward toward the other monsters. "To tell the truth, we were wondering if you were accepting new members into your band. As you can see, I'm a dragon, so I'd think I'd be a great addition! And my friend her may be small, but rest assured she can more than make up for it!

"So, what say you? Are they any empty slots you're looking to fill?"

"We've got pests!" The sisters thought. Sylvia lamented Ozzy's departure, who, as an owl, was probably a great deterrent for mice. What to do? The sisters couldn't let these pests ravage the kitchen before they'd even gotten a chance to show off their prowess to the rest of the guild. Looking at each other, the sisters silently agreed on their approach.

"HEY!" Vivian yelled as she slammed the kitchen door open in an attempt to startle the unwanted guests. "What's this? A couple of mischievous vermin?" A vine snapped out in an attempt to grab one of the pests by the leg and hoist them into the air; this would give them something to bargain with, hopefully, since their tactic was going to be a sort of good cop/bad cop dynamic that teetered between intimidation and negotiation.

Freyr

Even though Freyr tried to not show any hostility and despite how bizarre the situation was, treat it cautiously, he was caught by surprise when Sam suddenly became hostile, suddenly pulling a strange metal object when Haley tried to approach him. While he didn't know exactly what it was, the manner how Sam pulled it, pointing it at them and the way how Haley reacted made Freyr react on instinct, putting himself in front of Haley, protecting her with his body as he kept his eyes glued to the strange metal object on Sam's hand, watching it carefully, his expression immediately becoming much colder and hostile.

"Stay behind me, Haley."
Freyr said, nodding after he heard her explanation about that so called 'gun'. Even if Haley said that it probably wouldn't do much damage, he wasn't really keen on testing that on a gamble.

Fortunately, the mad man began walking away, lowering his gun until he got further away from them and continued deeper into the forest. If the small 'conversation' they had wasn't enough clue about the mental state of the man, the way how he seemed to struggle to even walk straight made it even clearer that there was something wrong with him and just as Haley had said, he was indeed dangerous.

"He is completely out of his mind...?" Freyr said, still confused about that whole thing.

"It's just as you said... He's dangerous and not only to himself... Madmen can't be reasoned with. I don't know exactly how dangerous that strange weapon of his is and I don't really want to risk a gamble but... If he meets anyone else and they end up reacting the wrong way... Something bad could happen..." Freyr said, thinking after he heard Haley asking what they should do.

"We could maybe try to set an ambush? At least to take that dangerous thing away from him and take him to the authorities... Drag him if necessary... We will have to be careful with him as long as he is still armed though." he said, looking to Haley and waiting for her input on the matter.

Yang Bethlehem

"It would but not to the degree it'll be encumbering." Yang nodded with a little huff, compared to weights that she was put through, armor weight is nothing.

Wearing the basic armor of Varjans and one that fitted her, she looked as basic and disguise as one of the rank and file. Nothing too heavy like the champion she fought or the heavier armoured ones.

In between, she still tested the limits of it. Being surprised in how much it retain her motion, not all of them but it was great enough that she didn't need to worry about it.

Listening to Maria plan, Yang nodded closely as she looked at the options. Seeing her speciality and lack of the terrain here, it was obvious what she'll choose.

"I'll be with the main force for striking." Yang bumped her fist together with a smirk before looking towards Kira. "You? You want to go with distraction or main force?"

"Knighty! Think I can win against large green girl?"
Ditzy Bethlehem

"Ditzy, I think she can beat you even if there were ten of you." Reed was all too happy to shoot down the Hobgoblin's hopes. "And it's Reed, Ditz. I'm not a knight, so calling me that will give people the wrong impression. But I might become one, though, if I get back to Ortus."

-

"To tell the truth, we were wondering if you were accepting new members into your band. As you can see, I'm a dragon, so I'd think I'd be a great addition! And my friend her may be small, but rest assured she can more than make up for it! So, what say you? Are they any empty slots you're looking to fill?"

"Hmm, and what about those two over there?" The Ogre pointed with her head at Ditzy and Sir Reed, the latter giving an awkward wave. "Are they shy or something? Although, I don't mind having a shy knight with us." She chuckled lightly at the last line.

"Regardless, we don't just let anyone join our crew. You gotta know how to throw down. I mean, really throw down." It appeared that fighting well was the requirement for joining. "Hell, we got this poet guy who wanted to tag along with us for the giggles. We bagged him up instead and hopefully, he'll fetch us a good price to a Leanan Sidhe or someone."

"So I'll ask ice dragon, can you and your buddies throw down?" The Ogre cracked her fists. "And how will you go proving that?"

"You're right. We should stop that guy before anyone else gets hurt." Haley declared.

You and Haley followed Samuel into Tulisan Forest. It wasn't difficult tracking him down, his loud babbling giving his position away, nor was it difficult trailing him, his madness preventing him from noticing the couple. "Make it to Boreal Port... yeah, yeah. Don't care whatever that... monkey says..." Samuel took a brief moment to stuff some mud onto his mouth as he trudged forward.

Haley winced at the sight. Not wanting to continue this any further, she became impatient. "Freyr, got any idea on how to jump him? I mean, I can just tackle him from the air while you move to get the gun away. How about that?"

Samuel soon reached a river, and seemed ready to take a dip.

"Alright, I'll go take a look around and see if I can find anything." Neil agreed to the plan.

You went outside of the building and found three people lined on a bench by the side surrounded by guards. The first one was a fair-skinned middle-aged man, well-built and showing off his biceps with his sleeveless top. He had a stoic, serious face with a manly beard although he had no hair upon his cranium.

The second one was a beautiful woman whose fair skin seemed to shine under the sunlight. But her clothes were dark, and quite skimpy with her short shorts, a top that revealed her midriff and a feathered musketeer hat. You could sense demonic energy from her so she was probably a Dhampir.

The last witness was an aging man with receding gray hair that also formed into a small beard on his face. He wore simple farmer clothes and other than that, he had no more discernible features.

Which one will you talk first, or will you talk to all of them at once.

"HEY! What's this? A couple of mischievous vermin?"
Vivian Altissima

The monster intruders were surprised and the Altissima sisters saw that there might be a dozen of these Devil Bugs and Giant Mice. After a brief moment of shock, they all began to flee in panic. "Eeeeek!" They toppled kitchenware and food containers. It'll be a while to clean up the mess they made, but the Liliraune had to get rid of the pests first.

Fortunately for the sisters, their vine managed to snatch the leg of one of the Large Mice. "Ahhh! Let me go!" She begged pathetically as she flailed around in a futile attempt to break free. "Help me out here, guys!" Alas, her pleas fell on deaf ears as the rest of her group have already fled into the hidden corners of the Guild headquarters.

"Ah! I know, I've got sharp teeth!" The Large Mouse pulled herself up in order to begin chewing on the vine holding her up.
