Lizzie listened to him speak, noting every single move he made. She crossed her arms over her chest, unintentionally...or perhaps intentionally, highlighting certain aspects of her upper body. This man was definitely one to be wary of and not to be underestimated. He seemed cunning, reminding her a lot of herself. Then there was the fact that he just snapped his bindings rather easily. That was certainly something that she could easily ignore, though she refused to show any outward reaction to it.

After a moment of silence, Lizzie busted out laughing as she looked over to Barboda. "Blimey! Barboda I think I like this on!" She said, recovering from her laughter as she placed a hand on the bounty hunters shoulder for a moment. She let out a few more chuckles before dropping her hand and looking at Tesoro once more.

"To say I don't like what I see would be a lie, but I must make you aware of something." She slowly began moving closer to him, hyper aware of any movements he might try to make. If he tried to grab her she had a few tricks up her sleeve. "You are not the first man I've come across of your…" She paused to look him up and down for a moment before continuing. "Stature, but I'll have you know that every single one of them I've brought to their knees." She gave him an alluring smile. "And I've made every single one of them beg, savvy?" She allowed a moment to pass, letting her words sink in as she watched for a reaction. Little did she know that behind her the water from the ground had begun to rise up and swirl around in a strange dance.

Suddenly the water dropped, still without her knowledge, and her expression changed to a carefree one. "If that's understood, you're willing to follow the laws of my ship, and you lose all thoughts of mutiny then you may stay aboard my ship. We need more able-bodied men like you. Either way you have your freedom." She glanced over briefly to Barboda.

"You can free him now, Barboda. If he tries anything stupid you may kill him." She said to the man, far too much joy in her voice.

Vuothoran

Run or Die

Character death will result if you try to engage

Time::10am
Location: Jungle near Sun Elf Kingdom
Interactions:Jomari @baraquiel, Rosaria @Potter, Nuallán @13org Aurora @chrysocoma, Sophie, Caelan

The sound of trees crashing down echoed from the side of the group through the air as well as the sound of large stomping feet hitting the ground, rapidly. It got louder and faster, impending toward the group from their flank. The monster charged from the depths of the jungle and just before it reached the group it let out a loud roar. It was a male Vuothoran with a white, thick hide and stood over the group in over 30 feet in size. His sharp teeth and tusks were visible and his huge claws.

The Vuothoran stomped its foot as an act of territorial defense, it shook the ground with each stomp. It began smashing the trees in its vicinity as if they were twigs. It then picked up a large boulder from the earth, lifting it above its head. He then tossed it, nearly hitting the group missing by a few feet.

Time: 10 am, Soller
Location: Outside The Nest
Interactions: Nabarra @nasty, Kuroi @hide on mana, Mika @Tae, Sivaros @GingerBoi123, Slick @FunnyGuy, and Yuka @princess
Equipment: Sword, bow and arrows, small knife, wayfinder, fire kit, a pouch with 117 amas

Orias wasn’t expecting such a direct approach from Nabarra. While he wasn’t surprised that she hadn't earned them an immediate welcome, he could appreciate the fully abrasive honesty of it. The light elf she had spoken to seemed to have better things to do than killing dark elves. As the others of the group began speaking up it seemed like they were all escorting Princess Mika somewhere. Well, two men seemed like they were escorting and one man in a strange hat who called himself Slick implied that he and the princess were about to find private chambers together. Slick seemed far past inhibited and when the man began losing his balance and flailing about ungracefully, a sudden and soft breeze blew through to help right his balance. Interesting. He thought as he kept close attention to Slick.

Then a scream cut the air as a man fell to a wagon from a rooftop and a female demihuman made an overly dramatic entrance followed by a speech clearly meant to stir up trouble. While her manipulation was obvious, everything she said only confirmed what he’d expected from King Kasai. The people of Roshmi should be infuriated, there was no way an alliance with dark elves would benefit them, this was just another instance of a king putting his own well-being before his people. One of the men escorting the young demihuman princess spoke up, a renowned champion fighter named Kuroi, in an attempt to settle the crowd. As Kuroi spoke Orias felt a very subtle push against his emotions, a calming feeling that intruded from an outside force. Interesting. He found himself thinking again.

The earlier breeze, that he suspected Slick of causing, was unexpected but not outside of possibility. The broadcast last night had mentioned humans, and if anyone was capable of summoning them back to Avalia it was Rose. His mask hid a smile as he remembered just how exceptionally talented his sister was with magic. The other force he felt, the one capable of manipulating emotions, was not a type of magic he had felt before. Had it come from Kuroi? That seemed a very unlikely power for the demihuman to have. A demon perhaps, they were said to have unfathomable powers, but this too seemed an unlikely explanation. Surely a demon would want to sway a crowd towards violence and not calm them.

His thoughts on the strange magic ended as Princess Mika spoke, confirming what the feline demihuman had said. He felt a pang of empathy as the young woman spoke of her father who cared so little for his children. It seemed Biren’s did not have the monopoly on royal family dysfunction and he could only wish the young princess the best in her efforts. She would face a hard road, more daunting than his own path had been, to salvage a family name ruined by her own father, and to prove herself worthy of her title in the eyes of her people. He hoped she ran into his sisters, he had a feeling they’d like her.

“Did you think that would actually work?” He asked as he glanced at Nabarra. “Besides this group seems far more interested in starting bar fights and sneaking off for a quick dalliance than fighting a war.” He said as he glanced at Slick and Mika. Whatever the group they had just encountered was truly up to, it seemed likely that it involved both a human and a journey to the Sun Elf Kingdom, which meant it likely involved his sisters. The last thing Rose or Annya needed was a forgotten brother showing up to ruin their plans and he knew his own track record well enough to know he would be no help to them. On the other hand, if Roshmi was aligning with the dark elves then they didn’t need to go anywhere to look for a fight, it would come to them. “On the other hand, she seems to be looking for a fight.” He added as he nodded his head towards Yuka the outspoken demihuman.

Trolls

Time: 10 AM
Location: Jungle
Interactions: Annya @princess, Ismael @Th3King0fChaos, Saoirse @Potter, Kharne @Kazemitsu, Raven @Tae

The troll in the back of the group stumbled a bit and dropped it’s club before running towards Annya. He was able to process that she was the main threat as her magic burned the wound, halting its usual regeneration. It screamed at Annya, swiping at her as he charged toward her. It hit her multiple times in a frenzy, faster than she could have been able to dodge.

The other troll howled in pain but the wounds began to heal. The troll reacted quickly, stepping on the flat side of the dragonborn’s sword with one foot stopping him from pulling it upwards before kicking Kharne in the chest with the other foot. It was furious and realized this group was an actual issue.

Tigerlily

Time: 10:00am
Interaction: @princess Helio
Location: Barboda's Ship
Equipment:

Tigerlily snickered at Helio and when he had guessed what she was. How intuitive still. However, the conversation was beginning to wear on her nerves. Still, she’d deal with it swiftly then move onto the more pressing matters. Her voice became terse as her expression hardened. Lily gently moved his arm from pointing at her. ”You are partially correct. I am a mermaid and a siren, but not a sea succubi. Don’t ever call me that again.” As her mind began revisiting her imprisonment on Daka Island, she felt her panic rise inside. It had been months since she had been triggered and she couldn’t understand why this was frustrating her so much.

Tigerlily took a deep breath then settled her gaze on him, becoming impassive. ”I heard your conversation with your mother. What happened? Why aren’t you with your kingdom?” From the sound of the discussion, it seemed as if it had been Helio’s decision to leave. Why? She hated to speculate, but deep down, she had a strong guess. The guilt rose inside and threatened to overwhelm her and she found herself becoming less enthused about the whole ordeal. Her expression remained unrevealing of the storm inside. Her mind raced; She had to distract herself or else she’d find herself slipping back into her old habits. Lily picked up her cape and hat. The heat was beginning to wear on her and her stomach growled. For now, she ignored it.

Barboda Teff

Time: 10am
Location: Port Vanarosa; The ship.
Interactions: @Tae Lizzie @Infinite Cosmos Tesoro

Barboda listened as Tesoro spoke. He had not been amused by his nonsense and felt it had been wasting their time, but Lizzie felt otherwise. She burst with laughter and informed Barboda that she had liked him. He lifted a brow underneath his helmet at Lizzie’s choice of reply, but figured it would work. He raised his crossbow to Tesoro while she went closer in case he tried anything. His eyes and crossbow were locked on him and unwavering.

Lizzie explained that if he followed the laws of the ship, then he could be freed. Barboda thought for a moment as she gave him the choice to free him. There was no telling they could trust the man, but he felt he could handle him if worst came to worst. Barboda lowered his crossbow and moved to open his cage. He opened the cage door and pulled it open. ”Either get in line or get off the ship. If you want a third option, it’s death.”

Rosaria

Time: 10:00 am
Location: Jungle near Sun Elf Kingdom ---> Jungle
Interactions: @baraquiel Jomari @Alivefalling Caelan @13org Nuallán @princess Sophie @chrysocoma Aurora

Jomari’s question reached Rosaria’s ears although she was more focused on keeping track of the jungle. She paused as she contemplated answering him. There were many creatures and plants, but she didn’t want to scare them and not also soften the danger. The less she said the better too with him. She sighed and glanced at him briefly, ”Yes, although the venomous creatures I will warn you ahead of time. I am going to need quietness in order to study for any danger. As for the destination we are going to Roshmi, a city filled with Demihumans, which are half animal and half human, for lack of a better word. We are meeting the Roshmi princess, Mikazuki, who is a dear friend of mine.” She then fell silent and guided the group forward.

Rosaria watched Sophie pause and bend down, quickly falling behind the group. She nodded to Nuallán to watch Jomari for her and then Aurora to keep an eye on Caelan and his aura. Rosa watched as Sophie interacted with a pixie. She smirked at the pixie’s sass, but Sophie handled it well. She stayed out of the line of vision from the pixie and allowed Sophie to have this moment. However, sudden, loud footsteps caused her to tense and glance around. She raised her hands and was prepared to summon light. Was it a troll? She hoped so; they weren’t as bad. Then her jaw dropped as a Vuothoran appeared out of the jungle, roaring and stomping its feet. The ground quacked with each stomp. Horror washed over her as it picked up a boulder and thrust it near the group, narrowly missing them. Rose quickly shot up a barrier of light between Sophie and her and half shielded the others. Rose let it stay up a moment longer to catch any debris, then dropped it. She ran over to Sophie and pulled her up to her feet. Once she had a grip on her, she then sprinted forward, quickly catching up to the others. There wasn’t any need to state the obvious; they had company.

What they needed was the order and to follow it. ”RUN! Do NOT stop and look back! Nuallán, Jomari’s your responsibility; Caelan will follow me and Aurora - watch our auras! Keep up!” Rosaria felt apologetic for pulling Sophie so roughly but she hadn’t wanted to waste time. She knew Caelan would follow, she figured, but especially if she had Sophie. She had a firm grip on the girl’s arm. She gave Nuallán an apologetic look for ordering him to watch Jomari, but she had her hands full. ”This is too powerful and strong for us elves to fight off so please run!”

Annya cried out as the troll smacked his claws into her body over and over. With each hit, there was the sound of metal being clanked. Underneath her disguise was indeed her armor, luckily, protecting her from having any serious injury from the blows. She was sure she was going to have some ugly bruises soon enough, but it did not feel as if anything had broken. She gritted her teeth, feeling some of the skin on her cheek shred as his claw nicked it. She winced and raised her arm to shield her face, squinting her eyes she waited for her opening as the troll was moving too fast for her to recuperate.

Once the troll had exhausted some energy, she used the force of the last hit against her body to throw her body backward, giving her some distance between the troll and herself. She swung her axes backward with a grin, ”Is that all you got, UGLY!?” Her eyes lit up along with her axes with light magic as she twisted her body and charged forward. She swung herself in the circle, slashing both axes toward the troll. Annya kept up the momentum, focusing on her footwork intently as she swung it back around and began hammering both axes into his torso with increasing speed. Annya could taste blood in her mouth and it only sent adrenaline through her veins, her heart pumping as she threw her all into beating into the troll.

Helio’s eyes raised as she confirmed his suspicion. He found himself a bit alarmed at her sudden change in tone and wondered why she had been so off-put by the term. The devil on his shoulder suggested he should call her sea succubus again three more times to test what she’d do, but the sensical side of his brain warned him that pissing off a siren with any number of bizarre abilities was a bad idea. She was unpredictable.

His attention was brought back to her voice as she announced that she had been eavesdropping. His face contorted in slight irritation for a mere second, before he realized he would have done the same thing. What was more interesting was that he was certain she recognized him. ” I’m surprised you haven’t heard of my reputation these last few years.” Helio stated neutrally, uncrossing his legs and lowering back to the ground. He was thoughtful, considering his options and the risks of opening up about sharing his past with Tigerlily. Ultimately, Helio decided to answer her. He figured if she knew who he was then she would know these next details he would share with her, ” According to all of Avalia, I was driven insane by the twin-headed morons. After that, I went on a mass-murdering spree for a few years. However! I remember none of it… Now how does someone forgot going insane and mass-murdering for years? Who knows? But of course, remaining with my Kingdom is impossible as they’ll never trust me with a reputation like that.” He wasn't sure how Tigerlily was going to react, but he would accept whatever outcome.

Helio sighed as he heard her stomach growled and turned to face her with a soft smile, ”To be quite honest, I feel as if those jealous of my ridiculously good looks simply started rumors. Dreadful of them, but I am multi-talented and will easily find my place in the world elsewhere. So no need to worry or cry yourself to sleep tonight. More importantly, your fishy belly hungers and you should go fill it with sustenance.”

Myra continued to watch, camouflaged and from a safe distance as Vrexen talked with the dark skinned female, who seemed to be interested in her camouflage ability. Myra was still wary about what had happened, especially since Vrexen's hostility seemed to disappear as suddenly as it had started. Sure, he was still his normal, intimidating self as he approached the dark skinned woman, whom apparently was called Astra, but that much was pretty much 'normal' for Vrexen.

Undoing her camouflage just as Vrexen had finished speaking with Astra, she watched, still a bit far away from him as Astra grabbed the second roll of paper she had brought, the one Myra found pretty and started analyzing it with an excited expression. For some reason, she seemed to be really happy with it, going as far as praising Myra for having brought it, which made Myra cautiously give a few steps towards her, looking at the drawing as Astra analyzed it, giving a jump back when she suddenly stuffed the drawing on her backpack after rolling it. Even though she seemed fine for a dark skin, at least definitely easier to trust than Vrexen right now, she was still a bit wary about her.

With Vrexen and Astra finishing talking, having decided where to go, Myra warily looked at both of them, waiting for their next move. She also wanted to get out of the island, so she would have to stay with them for a bit longer, despite what had just happened with Vrexen.

Even though Nuallán was confident in his own abilities, he knew better than to underestimate how dangerous the wilderness of Avalia were. Despite the war and the threat of enemies, the wilds could be equally as dangerous, if not more. Not only he had to protect Lady Rosaria and Aurora, but the humans as well. In case something happened, even with his own abilities, protecting everyone would definitely be a challenge. Keeping his attention on both his surroundings and the group, especially Jomari, he continued in silence, until Caelan and shortly after, Jomari asked a question that he was waiting for some of the humans to make.

Rosaria was quick to answer their questions, expressing the importance of them keeping quiet before telling them their destination, quickly mentioning Princess Mikazuki, whom they would meet once arriving there.

"Many creatures call the Avalian wilderness home and while a great many could be useful for food, sustenance and materials, there are some which are better left undisturbed." Nuallán said in a low tone and with a serious expression, emphasizing the need for them to be quiet, reiterating what Rosaria had said before.

"We are far from being on the top of the food chain, so be warned, thread carefully and listen to our warnings. Should any situation arise, listening to our commands and instructions or ignoring them can be the difference between escaping with your life or not." he said, looking to every human with a very serious expression, before nodding, hoping they understood his words and continuing to watch his surroundings.

Despite his serious warnings and how alert he was, the humans still managed to surprise them with their reactions and how different they were from one another. While Caelan showed himself to be a bit bothered by the climate, Jomari felt comfortable walking through the jungle, walking with the confidence of someone who was familiar with places like that. The most interesting reaction though was probably Sophie, whom was amazed with her surroundings, almost oblivious to the possible dangers, going as far as to bend down to watch the flowers and getting distracted with the scenery. Even though she might require a bit more attention than Caelan or even Jomari, whom surprisingly enough, seemed to be the one who was the most capable of dealing with the jungle among the humans, he felt like he shouldn't deny Sophie the opportunity of experiencing the Avalian wilderness for the first time. He could only imagine how beautiful and fantastical their surroundings were to the humans.

It didn't take long until the group had their first interaction with the Avalian fauna, which fortunately, was a peaceful one. Sophie, who had stopped to appreciate the flowers, had met with a forest pixie. Watching Sophie admire and interact with the pixie with such innocence and amazement was undeniably adorable. Enough to make Nuallán chuckle to himself as he gave a few glances, towards Sophie and the pixie, while still keeping careful of their surroundings.

"Not all creatures living on the Avalian wilderness are dangerous though. Some, while mischievous, are mostly harmless and some even intelligent and capable of communicating themselves." he said in a low, but much lighter tone than the warning he gave previously, looking to Caelan and Jomari, while gesturing them to be quiet and nodding his head towards Sophie and the pixie. A small hint that despite the wilds being dangerous, as long as they were aware of it, he had no problem with the humans taking some of their time to appreciate the fauna and the flora.

Just as he had said that though, Rosaria nodded towards him and Aurora to take care of the other two humans while she watched Sophie as she continued interacting with the pixie. Once again, he had a feeling that Rosaria would greatly appreciate Sophie's company. Nodding with a determined expression, he left Sophie under Rosaria's care while he focused on Jomari.

Unfortunately, the calm moments the humans had to appreciate the jungle were cut short by loud stomps resonating through the jungle, a clear warning that something was coming. Alerted by it, Nuallán immediately began scanning their surroundings, while making a signal for the humans to be alert, but silent. W@ith his hand already on the hilt of his blade as he got ready to fight. The very moment the first few features of the creature became visible it became clear that fighting was absolutely not an option. Nuallán, whom normally was calm and collected, showed a clearly alarmed expression. It was a Vuothoran. Probably one of the worse things they could meet at that moment. Vuothoran were known not only for being incredibly territorial, but for being very aggressive as well and if it's size and tusks weren't enough of a warning, the boulder he tossed, missing the group for only a few meters, would be.

Rosaria's orders came quickly and decisively as she told the group to run. As per her instructions, Aurora would take care of Caelan, while he would look after Jomari, which if it wasn't for his suspicious behavior, might have been the human they would have to worry the least while walking through the jungle.

"Please be careful, Lady Rosaria. Should you need my assistance, you have but to call my name." Nuallán said to Rosaria with a worried expression before he dashed towards where Jomari was, approaching him with an incredibly serious stare.

"Among the humans in the group, you seem to be the most experienced. Both physically and moving in the wilderness. The time to prove yourself is now, Jomari." Nuallán said, looking to Jomari with a dead serious stare.

"We will be matching our paces with the rest of the group. Should anyone have trouble keeping up, I will stay behind to assist them. Keep running and stay close to me, unless I specifically tell you otherwise." Nuallán said as he put his hand on Jomari's back and started pushing him, carefully enough in order to not make him fall or trip while encouraging him to run.

Matching his pace with Jomari's, Nuallán began to run while making sure to keep Aurora and Caelan under his watch as well, should any of them have any troubles keeping up with the rest of the group.

Time: 10:00 AM!!
Location: Leaving Roshmi City Alleyway ---> The Nest Exterior
Interactions: Orias @helo, Sivaros @GingerBoi123, Kuroi @hide on mana, Mika @Tae, Yuka @princess, Aiko @CitrusArms
Equipment: Sidesword, dagger, billhook, and armour. A pouch with 132 amas in, down to 127 after the post. A long-sleeved cloak and a cat mask.

The tap-tapping on Nabarra’s mask made her flinch. A step back to keep her balance. She glowered at the man with a fierce scowl, intent on showing her discontent. That is, before she remembered that the mask and veil would cover it all. This just made her slightly more pissed at herself.

A scream shot through the air. Nabarra whirled. Gripped her billhook tighter. A hard thud.

A demihuman woman stood atop a building, having kicked someone into a hay cart in the street below. A small crowd gathered, looking up, jaws slack. She began an exposition of some sort. King Kasai was mentioned at some point, riling up the crowd. Frankly, Nabarra only cared a little. It all looked like a lot of pretension and parading, with fuck knows what backing it up. If only to add to her contempt, some other fox demi began another exposition.

Fuckssake. These fuckin’ demis and their shite speeches. We’re all fucken’ doomed... she thought, her eyes rolling so hard that she had a moment of genuine worry. Can eyes roll out of a skull? Just as she thought she’d borne the brunt of it, yet another demihuman started an exposition, talking some shit about being a princess.

The fox seemed to believe that it was all that easy to “remember empathy” in a situation where your entire livelihood was under threat. He was also actively working against Nabarra’s goal. ”Fuck up, ya jerk-off! Shit, yeh cannae just “remember empathy” if yer entire fuckin’ way of life is at risk. This is the bloody twin-fucken’-’eaded dragon,” she snarled through gritted teeth. ”But you… you do fucken’ you. I’m sure that the cunts’ll ”remember empathy” when they order the princess there to feast on yer fucken’ entrails. Just fucken’ sayin’.”

And the crowd just lapped it up? she thought, looking through the crowd with vague disgust. It was situations like this that really got under her skin. Serving in the Dark Elf army gave her a hands-on experience of exactly what vile cruelty the soldiers had done. Could do. Will do. The way she saw it, it was horribly irresponsible to merely discard all that pain and suffering. And for what? An eternally fucked conscious which ultimately makes you kill more. Dis-fucking-gusting

Nabarra turned to walk away when Koldar caught up to her, echoing her disappointment. With a sigh, she decided that he had a good head on his shoulders, and she would listen to him more often. ”Fuck knows what I thought would work,” she spat back. Generalised anger had a funny way of finding itself in one’s words. She heaved a visible sigh which gradually escalated into a growl. A hint of calm infringed on the edge of her emotions from… somewhere. Ironically, this only agitated her more. She turned and began to storm off. Now was not the time to fucking calm down.

Before she got too far, her attention was brought back to the rooftop demi by Koldar’s comment. He was right. ”She’s lookin’ for a fucken’ fight, alright. That poor fucker she kicked ain’t gonna be bloody ‘appy,” she started. When she continued, her voice was a lot less hostile. ”But, I get yer point. She ‘as a way of riling that lot up.” She gestured out to the crowd. With what felt like the hundredth sigh that morning, she beckoned Koldar to follow her as she began to push through the crowd towards the building. ”Follow my path,” she said. She leant her billhook against the wall, gave a nearby commoner 5 amas to look after it for a few minutes, and launched herself at said wall. Where normally she would climb with reckless abandon, she deliberately slowed herself to check each handhold, ensuring Koldar could follow if he so chose.

After making it to the top, she walked up to the preachy lioness. She attempted to take a non-combative approach, but he anger sloughed off her in waves. Her fists were clenched, and her gait rigid. She was still limping from the earlier fight. When she got to a respectable distance with the lioness, she kept that distance and crossed her arms. ”Hi. Few things. One - the fuck did that poor cunt do to you? Or did ya jus’ kick ‘im to get some bloody attention? Two - I agree with you. Kings are fucken’ catastrophes waitin’ to ‘appen, and this one’s fucked bad. How ‘bout we help each other out? I help you with the royals, and you help me with the Dark fucken’ Elves.”

Time: Morning
Location: Malthemoor, Daka Island
Interactions: Myra @13org
Mentions: Equipment: None

As the trio of Vrexen, Myra, and Astra exited the cave that held Malthemoor, they headed straight for the port to the south. On their way, Vrexen muttered to himself while also keeping several feet distance from both Myra and Astra. The marsh covered ground between the cave and the port was easily traversed, but the three were forced to navigate around several military encampments, which were likely defensive ground units for the army and support units for the navy. Regardless, they were well equipped with armor, weapons, and purpose during this cold summer day on the island of Daka.

Vrexen winced at every face he saw, as each one only haunted his urge for violence. There were so many ways to kill, and he was thinking of all them. He wanted to do... all of them.

“Slow, swiiiiift, bludgeoning, sssssstabbing, gutting, beheading, immmpaling, yes. Drowning, choking, eating, crushing, disssssssmemmmmberment…”

He kept his head down as he muttered to himself with his eyes wide and his teeth bared. Vrexen tried to hold it all back, but it was simply too much. He yearned to spill blood and he yearned for it now! It was hard not to notice Vrexen's strange behavior as he twitched, growled, and deeply scratched parts of his body between his mumblings.

Rather than address Vrexen, Astra looked at Myra, with an eyebrow raised. She shot a quick nod in Vrexen’s direction as they all walked along the port. She lowered her posture so she could keep her voice hushed.

“Is he well? Actually, that’s a bad question. Are we well? Like I knew he was a bit troubled in the head and I am always up for an adventure, but I am not ready to die as an elf that didn’t finish a century. I mean, I’m brimming with potential.” Astra, was not aware of Myra having limited speech and just figured the demon was a bit timid.

“Rip… tear… gouge… flay… crack… pierce… gnaw… drench in blood… eat alive… leave them bloody…” He muttered. Astra had only picked up one or two words, but that was enough for her to continue addressing Myra in a hushed tone.

“What is he even saying? Actually, how did you two even meet? If you’re asking me, based on first impressions, you are way out of his league. Girl, I mean the only thing you both have in common is the not wearing clothes thing, but I’ve run into a few fae folk that are just as liberated as you are and I think I can hook you up… Well… Actually, I have to mend a few things here and there with them, BUT the offer is there.” Astra glanced at Vrexen again. They could NOT get on a vessel with him behaving like that. Not only would he raise unneeded questions her way, but Astra was not comfortable stowing away on a ship with no escape while he was like this. Perhaps she could work with Myra and simply lose the demon but he claimed to have her scent, so that was a gamble.

“I must kill someone… something. I must… I must.”

“Oi! Grab that fucken’ slave! Someone fucken’ grab ‘em!” A dark elf screamed as a light elf captive ran for his life down the port. He used his magic to desperately make himself invisible. It was possibly one of the most useful skills to light elves when a situation called for stealth or escape. It was a skill learned through practice in it rather than aging up to being able to do it. Deliberate and effective was this skill that fooled the eyes of any Avalian. The light elf sprinted down the port, split between deciding whether or not to jump into the frigid waters or take his chances on land where he could run into more of the darkness0 weaving elves that captured him in the first place. The latter was wise as the former would only limit him physically. Also the bending of the light around him would fail once he dove under the water as he was not skilled enough to adjust his cloaking so easily. His pursuers couldn’t see him and he was swift. Damn swift.

He was all but a breeze as he ran past Astra.

He was all but an opportunity as he ran into Vrexen’s sharp claws. Lifting the shocked light elf by the claws stabbed deep within the light elf’s gut caused Vrexen look up at his catch and flash a toothy grin.

“Yessssss… YES!” Vrexen’s body mass increased, growing well over twice his size with his appearance being much more ferocious than before. His clawed fingers buried deep within the light elf extended to the point of impaling through his torso. “Hahahahahahahahaha! I SAW YOU!” The light elf coughed up blood that splattered onto Vrexen’s already red face wearing a terrifying grin. “Tear…” Like a ragdoll, the light elf was nearly torn in half as his head and neck favored his left side more than his right. Blood sprayed and spurted from his body causing anyone around to back up even more than they had after Vrexen increased his size. One half of the corpse flew into the water with a splash, while the other fell onto the wooden port with a thud while leaking blood.

“For fucksake!” Astra got behind Myra just in case she needed her as a buffer between herself and the now cackling Vrexen. The dark elf slaver called his loss, and turned away so he could use the situation as a means of deterring others from attempting escape.

“We got demons on our side now! Try an’ run. Try won’t you!” The slaver yelled to about a dozen shackled prisoners being removed from the slave ship that would supply the Malthemoor markets.

Just as quickly as his body grew, Vrexen shrunk back down to his normal size. He raised one of his claws up towards his face and casually licked a bit of the blood off them. His demeanor was calm. As calm as when Myra had first met him in the wilderness. Astra on the other hand just stared at half the body on the port with a sickened look on her face.

“Vrexen?” She addressed him nervously as he appeared to have calmed down. She wore an uneasy smile, just to be sure he remained that way.

“Yes, Astra.” He replied evenly.

“Would you please do us the honor of… removing that half of the corpse, maybe? Toss it in the water so it can be with its other half? I’m not telling you what to do. I just think it would help us gain favor with many of the sailors here at the port. Then we can travel comfortably to the River Fairy Kingdom and then I can see you to your kin. How ‘bout that? Right, Myra?”

Dwarves were a very close knit race. To the outside world they looked like mass produced humanoids with very little difference in their height, build and way dress. Yet, this worked for the benefit of the dwarves. Only true friends and companions would be able to notice the slight differences between the various citizens of Ironhold. This meant that newcomers to the fortified city would be easy to spot and track.

Most merchants were either dwarves or the few other races that traded with the Ironholders had developed a working relationship with the inhabitants via a long and slow relationship building. The city itself was slow to change. Buildings were erected in order to stand the test of time. The city had no dilapidated buildings and even new builds were erected quickly and efficiently.

Stores were passed down from generation to generation. It was not strange for family names to double as brand names. The customers in markets around Avalia could easily recognize the handiwork of dwarven crafter’s by name. Armor, weapons, metalworks, masonry work etc were the major exports of the dwarven country. Blood sweat and tears were often put into crafting and dwarves did not put their name on anything that was not perfection.

Despite the love for consistency and permanence that was the backbone of Dwarven society, innovation was the passion that burned in each of their hearts. It was this reason that marvels such as cannons, steam works and the marvelous flying vehicles know as Hellius had been born.

The magnificent marvel rested on the launch platform. The station was efficiently and effectively run. There was no milling crowds. Chaos was not tolerated in dwarven society. Probably why bars and fighting was the only way to relieve stress. Few dwarves had a sense of humor and those that did were often annoyances to the stoic and rowdy race.

This was the reason why Arn’s face showed confusion when the white haired male had countered his offer to purchase his and the pretty elf lady’s passage. The young dwarf’s eyebrows met over the bridge of his nose as if conferring with each other as to what the inebriated fairy might have meant. The medic’s eye tried to absorb any and all body language the lad was portraying. His ears strained to detect tone and infliction of the words. What the poor dwarf did not know is that there was such thing in human, elven, or fairy speech that was called sarcasm.

“Why would it be a pleasure to buy tickets for someone else? Trying to get a favor out of us in return or is throwing amas around a pastime of yours?”

The young soldier replayed what Bowyn said in his mind yet again. Had he offended the fairy by offering to pay? Was there something in fairy culture that prevented one from accepting favors or gifts? Arn did not care much for riches unlike the rest of his kin so he had utilized his military pay only for necessities. The legions had housed, equipped, and fed him for those decades he spent in the service so there as not much he could spend money on.

Arn shook his head, confusion still on his face. He figured he should explain his rasoning and answer the questions posed by the white haired lad. “Uh..No Mister Bowyn. The intention behind my offer had no ulterior motives. In my culture, you repay one favor or good will with something else. I said it would be my pleasure because I wanted to somehow coax you into truly being my companions….” He stopped a pensive shadow crossing his face. “I guess I did have ulterior motives… My apologies to you both. I did not mean any disrespect. You see, I have never travelled outside the borders of this realm. I figured that you two might have more experience and wanted to leverage that. Also, if I am being completely honest, I did not want to travel completely alone.” He bowed apologetically to the two winter fairies accepting both of their refusal.

“If they take issue with Moony joining us, inform them that an angry wolf and two equally annoyed fairies who could freeze certain parts of a Helius that probably shouldn’t be frozen are much more of a problem than one well-behaved wolf aboard a Helius.

Again a concerned look appeared on the young medic’s face. He did not know why Bowyn would be so aggravated by his suggestion to ask if there would be any issue regarding bringing Moony in the main cabin instead of in the cargo bay. Turning towards the ticket house and the security gate beyond, the dwarf did not see the value of the young fairy’s threat.

“Well Mister Bowyn, I believe that if you do raise an issue or threat then they will simply not let you into the aircraft and deprive you of the opportunity to carry it out. However, I do not believe the station will have an issue. As you stated, your animal companion seems to be well behaved. I am sure they will that your word and that of Miss Rue at face value. I trust he will not be distressed by the effects of flight?” Arn brushed his beard as he admitted shyly. “If he is, he will not be the only one who dislikes the flight…”

”They didn’t have a problem when I arrived here. Why would they have a problem now?”

Arn turned with an apologetic look to the pretty lady. “Indeed Miss Rue, but I am afraid that strolling inside the Iron Curtain’s merchant district is a bit different than in an enclosed space while an aircraft is flying high above the ground. I do hope you can see why it is normal to be wary of a creature that is normally wild. However, as I have already said, your companion is much calmer than most dwarves after somebody has spilled their drink.” The young soldier attempted an awkward smile at as he looked up to the pretty face of the white haired lass but he quickly turned away.

With that he turned in the direction of the ticket office. He purchased his own ticket and moved on to allow the other two to do the same. Even the ticketing process was ingenious. The ticket was a thin metal plate with specific dots in specific patterns etched on them. The security gate would not only verify that no suspicious looking people tried to board but also where the travelers presented the ticket into a machine. The machine would read the ticket the same way a musical box is able to play music. If the incorrect metal plate was introduced the door to the platform would not open.

The boarding attendants took one look at the wolf and then looking up at the two fairies. Due to Arn wearing his military clothes they looked at him. “They with you?” The medic turned to the fairies slightly and then looked back at the attendants. “Aye they are. I know you will ask it so please be assured that the wolf is quite domesticated and will be of no concern in the main cabin.” The boarding attendants looked once more at the calm wolf and then nodded. “Alright, please proceed. We should arrive at Riverport with no issues.”

It was not long before the cabin was filled and the engines started. The soft hum of the propellers and the slight vibration could be felt through the whole air craft. Due to the excellent design and the forethought of sound proofing the cabin, very little of the powerful movement of air could be heard from the outside. The high glass windows allowed the passengers to see up and down. The journey in a Helius was meant to be an experience too.

The day was perfect for travel. The Helius slowly ascended and the city began to seem smaller as they gained altitude. From this vantage point, one could see the configuration of the Tri-Murum with the Iron Curtain enclosing the busy market. The mountains looked stunning with their white caps and the cold clouds covering the tops of some of them.

Moving efficiently, the Helius ate the miles faster than any mortal being could. The landscape gave way from mountainous terrain to fertile river valleys and lush forests. The mighty rivers that traversed the continent crossed the terrain. They had their birth in the mountains of the north and fed the various lakes that dotted the land. Especially the great lake that commanded the south west are of the continent.

Food and drink was served aboard the aircraft but as promised, the poor dwarf was not able to eat. A greenish tint was mostly hidden behind his brown beard. His eyes were watery and kept close most of the time except for the times he was addressed. Landing could not come early enough for the poor dwarf.

Tigerlily

Time: 10:00am
Interaction: @princess Helio @Benzaiten Elaine @Helo Nym
Location: Barboda's Ship
Equipment:

Tigerlily listened intently to Helio and remained impassive. She caught his irritation, though she pretended not to. When he stopped floating and landed on the deck, she tensed. What was he going to do? She bit her lip and watched. However, he started to explain his history. She made sure no judgement crossed her expression, especially remaining kind. She didn’t give off any tense or fearful vibes. However, part of her longed to dive into the ocean and escape, yet she had nowhere else to go. She was screaming on the inside and wanted to find rum. She hated to rely on it or drink, as it inevitably triggered her, yet it helped.

After he finished, she paused for a moment. His attempt at humor though was a coverup and she knew she had to go eat. But first… Then she took a step forward and shifted her cape and hat to one arm. Tigerlily sighed quietly and reached out to pat him on the shoulder gently, as she said, ”You are The Magnificent Helio. I know you can find your place again. I am not afraid of you and support you. Don’t let me being a siren deter you.” She took another deep breath and removed her arm to hold her items evenly and brushed blue strands of hair out of her eyes with annoyance. ”You can join me in the cabin if you’d like for food or company and don't suffer in the sun.” She moved forward then gave one last look at the island, flicked it off before heading into the hall.

”Yo.” She greeted Nym and Elaine who were both inside. With a charming smile on her face as if nothing happened, she went over to a table and set down her cape and hat. ”Awfully damn hot out there, Nym. Think I might need a swim partner so I don’t bake out there.” She winked and then set her backpack down and pulled out her other outfit and grinned. It was far more open and easier to transform in than this death trap of an outfit. ”I’m going to die of heat stroke before this war tries to kill me so excuse me.” She moved to a vacant area and quickly changed without worrying if anyone saw her. Lily laid her weapons out on the table in front of her. Sirens were open and she had learned to overcome modesty as a prisoner on Daka Island. She then re-strapped her swords and hid the sheathed daggers in her boots she kept on.

Once finished, she set her other clothes back in the backpack and moved over to join them at a table. Her scales were far more noticeable now and covered her body like armor. ”Dinner and a show, how lucky for you both and I’m not even charging amas.” She smirked as she grabbed a plate and began piling food onto it. She scanned for the rum and poured herself two glasses. With a grin, she turned to the others, and began eating and drinking. Her subconscious thought was somewhere else, however, as she began trying to push away the flashbacks. As long as she conversed, ate the food and drank the rum, she wouldn’t remember...

Location: Eastern jungle of Sun Elf Kingdom

Equipment: A D&D miniature, a blunt and the clothes he was given

Caelan watched Sophie pause to move to the side, so he also stopped in his tracks. She ended up conversing with a pixie, which was pretty bewildering to see for someone as high as him. He simply stared as the exchange happened. However, then the sound of stomping and crashing trees quickly sobered him up. He looked over to see a huge beast coming toward them.

He did not think at that moment. He heard Rosaria’s voice calling to him dimly in the background and was able to make out the gist of her command. His instincts told him to run just as she had. Pure adrenaline burst through him and he bolted for Sophie, picking her up onto his shoulder and yanking her from Rosaria’s grasp. The earth cracked beneath his feet as he ran, telling her quickly, “We gotta go, Sophie, let me know if it is getting too close!”

Kharne's eyebrow rose up when the troll stepped on the flat of his blade as he was twisting it to bring it back up into the green sapien. That was some serious reflexes, then again if one regenerated you didn't really have to worry about pain too much. Sure it hurt, but if you knew you'd heal you wouldn't react as strongly. Its other leg struck out, kicking the behemoth in the chest which got a grunt out of him, and knocking him back. Strong kick, but it wasn't the first time he received such a blow and it probably wouldn't be his last.

A low prehistoric sounding growl came from the reptilian man before he surged forward in a flurry of blows. His reach was even greater than the trolls thanks to the length of his blade. The cobalt blade sung as it swept through the air and sent troll blood spattering this way and that. It was impossible to block such a weapon without that greatclub off in the distance. A limb trying to shield the body got shredded by the well kept weapon. Every step back from the troll got a sweeping step forward from Kharne.

The blade cut through skin and muscle easily before chipping the bones of whatever limb was used to block. It looked like Kharne was trying to overwhelm the trolls regeneration rate judging by how he was sending that giant curved sword screaming through the air faster and faster. The momentum carrying through into another swing with deft moves of his hands, arms, and torso.

The rumbling came quickly and without warning. Even Aurora, with her sharp hearing had not caught any echo of the approaching monster until it was almost right upon them. Its aurora raged with an ominous and angry glow. Any interaction with it would be fatal, but she let not the situation shake her as the it did the earth. Swiftly, she turned with the others, listening intently to not just Princess Rosaria's command, but their footsteps (Nuallán's especially), as well. Everyone's auras were glowing brighter than usual...

Caelan was under her watch. His actions could precipitate, and she found strength in his actions. He was quick like most humans, but the advisor would not let keep her guard from him. He was now under her wing of protection. This was an unusual circumstance for him, and she knew very little of his inner universe, “Under your will, my Lady!” Her voice chimed with determination through the chaos. Her feet took flight and followed closely next to Caelan.

She spoke to him next, “I will protect you. Fear nothing and continue to follow Princess Rosaria.” Her voice was calm, and through her elvish appearance, she managed a soothing, maternal smile. Even if the group split, she wanted to know that they both tried their hardest to keep together. She was prepared either way -- with all her might, through life or death, she would protect the humans as the Princess so desired.

Nym ate his fill of the grand feast, unbothered by the rest of the crew’s seeming lack of interest in a good meal. He knew the sea to be unpredictable, while they may be feasting this day there was no guarantee that the next day would not see him picking mold off a stale biscuit to survive. He had no idea where they were headed nor how long it would take, this strange captain had offered no details of her plan or even a direction in which they were headed. Once his mind wasn’t occupied by thoughts of food it was troubled by the uncertainty with this captain. Only time would tell if Captain Lizzie could offer more than just talk and swagger.

Sure it was nice to be aboard a ship again, but they had yet to set sail, and sitting at the dock was only a small step above being onshore. He was more than ready to leave, to travel the vast oceans of Avalia and find himself battling tooth and nail against another vessel whose cargo could hold anything from a few measly supplies to untold riches. That was the sort of thrill he truly lived for, and even while so many dreamed of a score large enough to pay for an easy life, to give up that level of excitement and uncertainty would be akin to laying down and waiting for death.

Eventually, Tigerlily returned from wherever she had wandered off to, but he noticed she had returned without the squawking menace. After the siren had helped herself to the rum, Nym did the same. He had raised an eyebrow when Tigerlily mentioned going swimming when there was work to be done to get The Harem off the island. He wasn't entirely sure if it was a serious suggestion or her way of complaining about the weather here. From anyone else he would’ve taken such a suggestion as laziness, however, Nym knew Tigerlily well enough to know that was not the case so if the siren needed a quick splash in the ocean he would not argue about it. “What can I say, I am the luckiest bastard on the sea.” He took a swig from his cup of rum and casually nodded at Tigerlily. Growing up in a brothel made the very idea of modesty of foreign concept to Nym.

“Certainly would be a damn shame if ya baked in the sun an’ ended up looking like the Sarelion here.” He said, gesturing to the fish on the table. “Wouldn’t worry much ‘bout the war either, play it smart and it’s gonna make us all very rich and keep our voyage exciting for quite a time." Not only would a war give all of Avalia something bigger to worry about than pirates, but with all the dangerous creatures that lurked in the forests between cities, many found the seas a faster and safer voyage for transport, and the war would only ensure more valuable cargo being sent out and about. “Watcha say Éliane, how flexible do ya find that moral fiber o’ yours today?” He asked as he glanced at the light elf. It wasn’t that he doubted her courage or sense of adventure but he wasn’t entirely sure she had it in her to fight and kill for the chance to take whatever cargo might lay aboard any ship that had the misfortune to cross their path.

"But there is no one like me." Tesoro replied to Lizzie, a steely conviction can be heard through his voice. He noticed the water that Lizzie seemed not to notice. He smirked inwardly. "She must be new to her powers..." Tesoro thought to himself. "And no. I don't think I'll beg. Matter of fact, I think you will beg to have me at your side..." Tesoro said, blinking seductively at Lizzie for the briefest moment.

When Lizzie asked Barboda to free him, Barboda made a sort of threatening comment that was all too expected of a man like him. "Nah, mate. Death is so final. I prefer life, and all of her intricacies, you get me?" He said as he stepped through the opened gate. "There is a good lad, doing your queen's bidding." He said, smirking. Tesoro get Barboda a friendly clap on the shoulder before moving closer to Lizzie.

"And you. Lassie. We'll be seeing each other very soon, I hope." His mind was already entranced with the smell of the food that has been drifting into the cargo hold this whole time. He was famished, for one thing or another. In any case, Tesoro gave Lizzie a quick wink before suddenly leaning in and sneaking a small peck on her right cheek before jovially walking up the stairs towards where the food was currently.

Half-human, half-animal eh? Nanay Minda and the other elders would also share folktales with creatures that were part human and part animal. He's weirded out that the beings he thought only existed in children's fables would actually exist in real life and walk among the earth like ordinary humans. In his case, the tales would always portray these demihumans as tricksters, wicked, or wicked tricksters. If a kind elf such as Rosaria was friends with one, it was either his forefathers have met some pretty nasty demihumans or the tales were made from the scared human's point of view as anyone who didn't act and look like them were considered abominations.

He listened to what Rosaria and Nuallán said. What? Contrary to what anyone might believe, Jomari knew how to keep quiet and listen too. He just needed a long time to process all this stuff. Anyways, the group paused as Sophie interacted with a small creature that looked like a human but with wings. Again, Jomari was surprised and weirded out that the creatures he only heard about in bedtime stories could actually exist too. He wondered what else he could discover during his stay here. Just thinking about the loads of stories he could tell Nanay Minda and the other kids, Jomari was excited to go home and blow all their minds.

This peaceful moment didn't last when he felt the ground shake. He thought it was an earthquake at first but it turned out it came from a really huge creature. The elves quickly became alert and Jomari just thought it could be one big furry huggable creature that spreads happiness and joy to everyone. Alas, it was the complete opposite of what he hoped for. The creature showed its form to the group. It was gigantic, it had too many tusks and horns, but most of all, it was absolutely, terrifyingly...

"Ugly. Eugh." Jomari said and retched in disgust. It roared and threw a huge boulder at them like it weighed nothing, causing Jomari to let out an uncharacteristic high-pitched shriek of horror as the big rock narrowly missed them. When Rosaria told the others to run, he looked at her in confusion and panic. "Run? C'mon, we can take this ugly bastard! Surely you got some elf magic in your long gorgeous sleeves to fi-" Whatever he was about to say was cut short when the monster roared again and Nuallán told him to start running. He wanted to argue but it was clear that the monster didn't have any patience to let them weigh their options. Between the elf's dead serious stare and the creature's deadly ugly face, Jomari didn't have a lot of options either.

Nuallán pushed Jomari at the back to make the human move, causing Jomari to give Nuallán his own death stare while starting to run. "Firstly, I don't need to prove anything to you! Secondly, if you touch me again, I will fuck you up!" He shouted angrily at Nuallán as he got moving. Running through the forests was the resistance's main expertise so Jomari had no problems evading branches, jumping over fallen tree trunks, and the like while running as fast as he could. "We told you to tell us the kinds of beasts that live here, you dimwits! All that quiet and focus for nothing!" Jomari shouted in anger as he let out another high-pitched scream whenever the beast roared. He could still see a bit of Nuallán at the edge of his sight sometimes but he didn't know if he ran past the others or if he ran in a different direction than them. All he knew was that he needed to keep running if he wanted to live another day.

Action in inventory:
gain of 10 amas (posting within 72h)
loss of 205 amas (given to Lizzie, previous post)
gain of one pathfinder coin (strange gift, previous post)

As everyone went their respective ways aboard the ship, leaving her and Nym alone, Éliane was too deep in thought to start a conversation. In her lap, beneath the table, her fingers played with the heavy pathfinder coin the stranger had provided her with. It wasn't so much the coin that held her attention though. It was the stranger. Éliane knew the old woman might have been nothing else but a little senile and had mistaken her for someone else or had some other reality cloud her mind to make her think giving Éliane the coin had such a grave impact. Or maybe she hadn't thought anything at all and had gone with the swift winds of her mind without further intentions. However, she still couldn't shake it. It made her feel... something. Unease? A little, yeah, certainly. But also curiosity. And the heaviness on her shoulders and the strange grip around her inner organs suggested she gave some belief to the woman's words. "You are IT!", she had said. And it was most likely she had not known what that meant herself. So why did Éliane feel like it had meant anything at all? Why did she feel it was important. Silly, young heart, she scolded herself. Looking for meaningful adventures where there are none.

But there was something else bothering her mind. Had she made the right decision coming aboard this ship? Agreeing to Lizzie's rules? It had taken her a little by surprise how strict and cruel the woman could appear. A healthy reminder that I do not know her. As much as my heart yearns and quakes, still, to find her protected and well - which she undoubtedly can provide for herself with uttermost success -, it still longs for the connection it felt the first time we met. And that had been not much more than an hour or so ago! Lizzie had no doubt found her crew and ship fast. What a turn of events. Being chased by light elves - whyever did they do that? - to a captain of a full crew with a fully stocked ship in about an hour. Impressive.

And with Barboda on board, it seemed they were already well provided with a skilled cook. A skill that Éliane found to soften the hard edges of her brain surrounding her doubts about this man. Of course, a good meal didn't mean he'd cause them no harm. But he had shown respect to not only Lizzie but the whole crew by going out of his way with this matter. She would not let her mind ease up yet but it was a start.

As her mind ran a mile an hour and again and again in circles, always coming back to the old woman, to her decisions, to Lizzie's attitude - especially the change in it that she had witnessed -, she repeated the five rules of the ship again and again.

1. Equality in decisions
2. Fairness considering their loot
3. Maintaining one's weapons
4. No causing harm by accident, intention or disserting during a battle
5. Peacekeeping aboard the ship - no weapons shall be raised against one another

The rules were more than justified. Éliane didn't see anything wrong with them. The things that irked her were the punishments. Of course on a pirate ship, there would be punishments. She might have been naive, but not that naive. However, the idea of whips and execution didn't sit too right with her. That's how it goes when you enter a new world. You learn their rules, their customs. And you adapt to them as much as your own person allows it. All of them had agreed to those terms. Not one of them would be thrown into a situation where they would be treated unfairly by their captain. They had agreed to the punishments should they break the rules. As tough and terrible as Lizzie seemed and acted - and Éliane had seen the world, she knew that Lizzie would see through with it if it meant to keep face, to keep her position, to provide fairness -, she still trusted that Lizzie would judge fairly. And of course, the crew had a say in everything. Different approaches to justice are not morally wrong just because they are different. On a ship like this, where people live close together and must trust one another with their lives, strict rules about breaking such trust or endangering the crew are necessary.

But what a change in tone... Éliane couldn't stop thinking about how the Lizzie she had met had talked to her, had made her swoon. And how the Lizzie now was talking to the crew. Establishing her position, of course. Establishing that she was not one to be fucked with. Éliane could understand that. She just hoped Lizzie would find it in her to open her heart to the crew and, if a safe option, possibly to her.

Another - albeit slighter - concern of hers was Tigerlily. The woman seemed very focused on prince Helio. It was not unusual for Tigerlily to find special interest in certain special people. But Éliane could not let go of the feeling that there was something she didn't know. Not that she needed to. Tigerlily was more than equipped to take care of herself and didn't need anybody knowing her business. But she hoped that Lily knew she was a safe place to come to should her heart desire some emotional support. On her travels, she had met many people and most of them had not been open with their feelings. In a world like this, emotions were handicaps. And yet, Éliane refused to let this world harden her. Not yet. Not anytime soon if she could help it. After 512 years of life, you've seen some things.

Her thoughts were interrupted by the sound of Tigerlily's voice. Only now, as she returned her attention to the outside world, did she realize she had not touched the meal yet. A soft smile crept onto her face at the sight of the woman. Really gotta stop all the depressive thinking, I'm gonna knock my own brain out. She shoved the coin into her backpack and began to eat small portions of different options, keeping it vegetarian for now.

As Lily changed her clothes with the little show of hers, Éliane couldn't help but smile to herself. Typical Lily, was it not? But the blue-haired devil was right. It was damn hot, the summer was really beating down on them. And although Éliane had had her swim of the day - and her clothes were still damp from it as it had been only about an hour ago -, her face lit up when Nym offered her to join them. Her lips curled into a mischievous half smile. "Funny you should ask. My morals seem to have taken a little... dip. Must be too hot for me to think straight."

She shoveled some more food down her throat as she already began to lift herself off her seat. With a soft motion, she pulled the damp clothes off of her body and revealed her undergarments. "My swim this morning ended quite... spicy. I guess cooling down a little is appropriate." Her eyes landed on Nym's. "I would greatly enjoy seeing you dip into the waters." She had seen a lot but she had never seen a shark-demi human in the sea. Frankly, he was a nice sight to look at in any place but the waters were part of his nature. She almost envied him for that. "In any way, if we don't go for a swim I should really get changed into dry clothes."

In that moment Éliane's attention flew to the entrance through which Barboda and Lizzie had disappeared down into the ship. A man had walked into the room. Éliane was certain he had not been part of the crew when the crew had boarded the ship. So he must have been down there before they had come aboard. Immediately, her brain connected his appearance with Barboda. Barboda had been the first on the ship, he must have known. Maybe even brought him on. She wasn't sure what to make of this new information. She recognized the man as a light elf, that much was clear. With a soft smile, Éliane greeted the stranger. "We were just about to go for a swim. I'm assuming you've met the captain?" Éliane couldn't even be bothered that this man met her with barely any clothes on. Being rid of the damp fabric on her skin was such a release.
