Time: Morning
Location: Dugmaghord - The Pit
Interactions: Pâsh@Alivefalling
Weapon: Meliora, a cobalt glaive with unbreaking and returning charms
Armor: Just the clothes on his back
Equipment: Lockpicking kit, small knife, 3 large red potions, and a pouch of amas.

Leaf closed his tired eyes and the sound of dozens of orcs chanting his name washed over him. Even Pâsh, especially Pâsh, who even bestowed upon him the honor of War Chief. He nearly fell over as Pâsh slammed his maul into the ground to make the announcement, and truly he would’ve if the massive Grand Chieftain didn’t already have him damn near dangling by his arm. It took all he had left not to let more than a single tear slide down his fury face.

Leaf’s head was a bit too banged up to really think about what this all meant as he was fully caught up in the rapture of knowing that the orcs had accepted him. Folks all over had a lot of misconceptions about orcs, at least the ones in Dugmaghord, they really weren’t just mindless brutes. It took a lot to not only just survive, but thrive, in the harshest depths of the desert. That took strength, and sure their way of life was brutal but it had a purpose, it was exactly as brutal as it needed to be because when he really thought about it, orcs were a lot like predators, and Leaf could understand predators just fine. Nature was brutal, war would be brutal, so he could not be soft and expect to survive. Leaf would learn all he could from orcs.

“This is far higher than any honor I coulda expected.” Leaf said, bowing his head in respect for Pâsh. “To hear it from Avalia’s greatest warrior, Avalia’s mightiest orc, couldn’t ask for a better day.” Leaf said, grinning, as he tried to express proper gratitude to the Grand Chieftain. “I look forward to following you into battle.” He added, that seemed like the sort of thing an orc would say, and Leaf was almost, feeling a little bit like an orc right now, despite also feeling like a very tiny creature when standing next to towering Pâsh. He was even sure he could eat like an orc. His stomach growled again as it agreed.

The past four months had passed by in a blur, sometimes making her question if she was dreaming or not. Whenever she fell asleep and woke up in this wolf village, she was soon reminded it was indeed her reality. The first night flashed through her mind; robbing the bank with her gang, running away and then into Raven, coming to this world… Her stomach churned when she thought of Raven, but she was able to push it away. They weren’t friends anymore and the girl didn’t seem as if she’d ever accept her how she was now. Nonetheless, Addie was glad to be who she was although the guilt of her misdeeds did resurface occasionally. She still wasn’t sure how or why she’d been lucky enough to come here, but it was a blessing in disguise. She was free, as much as she could be, harnessed the element of fire, and had these strange creatures protecting her. It was an odd feeling, being protected, when she normally did the protecting. Over the four months, she'd cut her hair and also burned the evidence of her human life: her outfit from Earth, the wad of cash, and also her human mask. Doing so had made her feel relieved, sad, and also... liberated.

Whenever the sun rose, so did Dante and the others. At first she had been disgruntled her sleep had been interrupted, but the urgency of survival forced her to wake up. Soon, Aidan had found she began to enjoy the training. The physical fitness was something she was used to and had even shown the group her parkour skills. Being able to run and jump was one of her favorite things. Discovering that Dante also had fire had been fun as the two of them could bounce ideas off one another with their magic. Out of the group, she enjoyed Dante’s company the most. The two had become rather close which had been difficult for Addie. He’d begun helping her open up which she found made her … emotional, realizing how normal everyone’s lives had been compared to her’s. It could have been why Raven and her had clashed so horribly. While the others had known love, true friendship and all that soft shift, Addie had known drugs, alcohol, crime and delinquency. Gaia had told her from a young age how emotions “made you weak and would get your ass beat in jail”, so Aidan had become cold and mean as a defense mechanism. Saying this out loud or thinking it, had been rough, and she’d normally leave and find refuge in Menzai who didn’t try prying her open. Despite it, Addie had slowly opened up, becoming a bit happier and joking more frequently. Using opening up as a mechanism with her magic allowed her to tape deeper into it and become more lethal.

Where there was Dante was Darius. She enjoyed his company too, his carefree and easy going nature was refreshing. He was kind and sweet, something she wasn’t used to. At first she had joked too meanly with him, causing Dante to scold her. Afterwards, she had never done it again. Darius’ magic was there to tame the wild flames Dante and she created. Though she could see he wished to have cooler magic, she was grateful for his and how it suited him well. The combination of Darius and Isolde were a lethal mix. Having another female in the group made things easier. The two were able to connect and have their own girl talk when she needed a break from the men. Their lighting and fire combination was also quite fun. Menzai was another interesting addition to the group. He didn’t open up well and was there for her to sit and talk with. Neither of them forced the other to open up. She appreciated him being hands off and allowing them to practice and experiment with their magic and Avalia. Overall, Addie was glad she had joined their group and was thankful for them and had found herself thoroughly enjoying their company. Being alone meant thinking of her past and the wrongs she’d committed so she was rarely alone now.

During their time in Guarav Village, She’d purchased a black and gray horse she’d named Charcoal, nicknamed Coal for short. Her eye had been on the hoverboard, but after learning it didn’t go high or fast, she’d decided against it. Charcoal gave her something to learn and work on perfecting, which helped distract her from her mind. She had learned the basics of riding and had become intermediate in their short time here. Addie had grown to love the animal, something she hadn’t done much on Earth.

Now she stood with her reins in hand, leading Coal over to Menzai and Darius. She had often tried unsuccessfully to sneak up on the wolf. Doing so made her work hard on her stealth, though she knew she could never truly accomplish it; he had far superior senses than her. With a smirk as she led Coal over, she announced her presence with one of her most notable lines.

”How are you fuckers doing?”

Isolde Ryder

Time: 2pm
Location: Guarav Village
Interactions The Fuckwit Brigade and Corporal Yiffenheimer
@Potter@FunnyGuy@samreaper@Alivefalling

In four months of being trained and drove into the proverbial dirt by wolves, Darius' hardass brother, and the entire world turned Isolde into what passed in her books as a badass. Physically being worked to the bone by military-level training was a slog unlike anything else, learning about Avalia was draining, and being pestered by the occasional furry that snuck past the no-crossing line was awkward, but, god damn, did Isolde feel nothing short of alive as a result. She gained a few pounds over the months, but they were pounds of muscle from the exercise, and more importantly, she gained a very useful knowledge of lightning magic that she got rather intimately acquainted with. Between the humidity and the overall mugginess of being in a forest, Guarav was actually a nice place in her opinion. She didn't seem to mind when she was developing the attitude she was. Of course, being shoehorned into the training was annoying at first. Isolde could appreciate someone trying to train people, but she wasn't a soldier like Dante, let alone his lackey. Still, she stuck with it because it lit a fire inside of her, ironically enough, that made her want to push herself. The others were nice company. Mostly Darius and Aidan. Darius had a similar mindset to her, they both just let things come as they went, and Aidan? God damn. She just got it. Dante meant well, but he was nothing short of the hardest hardass she ever met, and Aidan knew it too. The two female members of the Goon Squad had little trouble connecting and kicking back when they weren't being slowly killed by the training. Their individual mindsets towards freedom and authority made them natural friends in this environment. Menzai was odd one out for her. He was always distant and objective enough that he didn't seem to ever fit in despite his thinly veiled curiosity regarding humans. Isolde never had any difficulty getting worldly information out of him, though. He was a big help in finding their ways in the world, and for that, she respected him.

The best part of it all, though? The lightning. The power in it.

Isolde needed only to twitch her fingers, only to reach into the open air and sparks would erupt in a brilliant fulmination of magical energy. Teal blue tines of forking plasma that were an extension of her own willpower moved through the air, snaking out to lash out in a grasp for conductivity. And she would reel it back in as easily as she had brought it forth. It was exhilarating, and only compounded the satisfaction that Isolde gained from the last four months of training. In this time, she spent a great deal of money on things ranging from more Avalian-like clothing and the usual self-care products to a horse and arms. A brown and white horse named Miri, who she bonded with rather swiftly. Her weapons were a simple dagger used in times of emergency, and more overtly, a spear composed of solid, magically treated cobalt. The head of the spear ended in a blue-tinted, convex blade no longer than Isolde's hand. It had weight to it, but it was hers, and by now it felt natural to wield. This spear was her main weapon, which she had been teaching herself to use in tandem with her magic, since cobalt was one of the most conductive metals that could be used to forge a weapon with. Silver was objectively the most conductive metal known to man, but Isolde's knowledge of Avalian metal was limited.

The day was approaching fast when they would be finished with their training, and it looked like the others were already gathering. Menzai, Aidan, and Darius. They were all three just as badass as she had become in their own rights. All three of them had ways their magics could be paired for more nuanced affects. Seeing everything come together this way was something they all deserved to be proud of. Earth never gave her this kind of life. Isolde felt more like herself now than she ever did before the rift opened under her feet, and she loved it. Having moved through Guarav to the meeting spot on Miri's back, Isolde looked just as different as she had become. Her earth-bound clothes long gone, she was dressed like the wizard she was. With her spear across her lap, the atmosphere she gave off said, "I am ready." "Your brother too busy dreaming about giving us work to get her on time?" That was very obviously a joke, one they all could relate too. Isolde slid off the horse's back with her spear. Isolde's grip flexed around the weapon as sparks danced into the air, scattering with faint traces of turquoise light. This had become second nature to her, it was in her blood and flowed through her like breath and life itself.

Isolde radiated confidence now, with an unflinching, upturned expression that the group hadn't seen until recently.

Time:Afternoon
Location: The Nest
Interaction:@HeloNym
Equipment:Black coat with fur trim on the hood, dark-colored, plain male clothing, sword with unbreaking and return enchantments, strength enchanted gloves, 2 medium red potions, hygiene products, timeteller, wayfinder, transmission bracelet, a flask, standard backpack, and an ama pouch with 1800 amas.

As Nym spun tales, so had Helio just a little way down the bar. His voice could be heard over the loud bolstering of the Nest as he rattled on his own tale to a demihuman woman, slurring the whole way through. "So thereeee I was, blade in hand, while the hologram of so-called King of the Sea Ardyn was craaaawling about the deck of his stinky ship-"He paused to go off on a brief tangent, "You can tell from the stench that his crew hadn't bathed in months. Stinky, ugly and very jealous of me the lot of them were." He then waved off his own tangent as he leaned, well aware of others tuning in to his story, " Ardyn was not on the ship; he was terrified of me. He wouldn't dare set foot close to me, yet there he was in hologram form, writhing in terror. His eyes brimmed with tears as he pleaded for his life. "

Helio stood up on the stool, eliciting a gasp. "So I told him, Ardyn! I'll find yar cowardly ass and I'll kick it!" He kicked the air and nearly fell off the stool. However, a crocodile demihuman steadied him as he grabbed his calves in his hands.

"That's one wasted fairy."He commented slowly.

"Ardyn then said you're so intimidating and awesome, Helio. Not to mention so handsome. Please don't find me! I'm s-s-scared!" Those in his vicinity were staring up at him with raised brows.

"Come on man, get down!

"YOU GET DOWN!"

"What?"

Floofa covered her mouth to restrain her laughter, her fluffy tail waving back and forth with her excitement. She had really done it this time. Prince Helio had been here many times before and knew well what her drinks could do, yet had purposely drunk them. He had even requested her to drug him. She didn't care enough to question it; she was simply happy to receive entertainment.

Location: River Fairy Kingdom
Interaction: Orias @Helo
Mentions: Aiko @CitrusArms Orias @Helo Xavier @Potter
Equipment:Yuka's Drip Pouch with amas, Lipstick

The last four months had been very entertaining for Yuka. She had spent much of it high or drunk but much more poking at her new friends. She liked to keep things interesting when things got quiet amongst her boys. Sometimes she'd make the conversation sexual for no reason, then other times, she'd ask about their childhood trauma or bring up touchy subjects. If she wasn't cuddling somebody, she was making extremely dark jokes. She had a certain way of keeping constant chaos in her vicinity.

Despite the emotional distance she kept between herself and others, Xavier's stubborn kindness did grow on her. She thoroughly enjoyed his company very often. Yuka even enjoyed normal conversation with him and stopped trying to mess with him as much as she did the others. Orias, on the other hand, had remained ever so serious. He was very useful in training Xavier so Yuka let him stick around. While his schedule had been orderly, she had pretty much continued to do whatever she wanted when she wanted. Much to their surprise, perhaps, Yuka did spend time daily working on her combat skills, which were fairly impressive for how she seemed to spend her time. She had spent many years honing her instinct and ability to kill. And boy, did it show when she was in combat. Yuka had never told them nor anyone but there was a delicious pleasure she sought more than any other.

As the afternoon sun lit up the River Kingdom, Yuka emerged from the Treeant Inn and sauntered silently behind Orias, before she suddenly clutched his shoulders, her claws unsheathed. "YO!"She greeted loudly and giggled. She let go and skipped around into his vision. "Are you ready to hunt!" Her pupils were dilated and her smile was wide. "Hunting gets me so excited!"

”No need to dilly dally, Slick.” Rosaria turned to him with a gentle smile. ”I don’t want to make others do what they don’t want to.” Gratitude filled her when she saw the small group. This could help her to get to know Slick better, but she wouldn’t force it either. Her gaze moved to Aurora and her conversation with Slick. If anything, Rosaria was thankful those two had become friends. It had been interesting to watch them together, yet Rosaria was glad her advisor had made more friends. ”Aurora, I enjoy your company. Please know you’re always welcome.”

She let out a relieved sigh and turned to Sugar who was grazing nearby. Rosaria whistled and the horse turned her head to face her. ”You up for hunting, sweetheart?” Sugar snorted in response. ”I’ll take that as a yes.” She snickered, then mounted Sugar and turned to Nuallán. ”Do you want to sit up here with me? Keep lookout?” She grinned as she held her hand out to him. The past four months with the humans and the orcs had forced her to keep her guard up. Though she could relax, she most often didn’t when training. When she was around Nuallán and Aurora, Rosaria found it easiest to relax the most around him. Therefore, her less serious attitude came out around Nuallán. She didn’t mind joking with the humans, but it was slightly difficult when she had a thousand years of life over them. Rosaria turned to Slick. ”Ready?”

Four Months Recap

Despite having fulfilled her initial promise of delivering Kaleb to the princess, Eris had accomplished her quieter goal of working her way into the group the light elven princess was forming.Slowly she worked on forming relationships with the humans, becoming even a bit close to Bardulf, but Kaleb was still at the top of her list. Unfortunately they lost the company of a few humans, with Saoirse having found another group she preferred much more and Raven wishing to be sent home. She displayed another great show of strength in magic by sending the white haired girl home and thus was asked to help in training the humans with their own magic. She wasn’t near as strict with training as Annya was, trying to provide that balance and make things as fun and relaxed as possible.

Despite finding Annya’s methods a bit extreme, Eris did work at growing closer with the woman as well. She had seemed quite down when her girls had left her and Eris used it as the perfect opportunity to provide her with that female companionship that Annya wished for. Upon arrival at North Pass, Eris had made it a point to plan a girls day with Annya. They needed new clothes for the harsh weather and Eris had taken her to a little cafe she enjoyed visiting every time she’d been there. She’d ended up buying herself an outfit from the Odds and Ends shop, needing the warmer clothing. She’d also purchased Kaleb a ring of warmth after his month of silence as a gift since he seemed to be quite miserable in the colder climate.

When it came to Kaleb, their relationship had grown in a way that Eris hadn’t entirely expected. The enjoyment of his company turned to flirty remarks, then to stolen moments of staring for longer than necessary. Eris had planned to grow close to at least one of the humans, but she hadn’t expected it to go in the direction it appeared to be nor did she expect to actually enjoy it. She found herself spending most of her time anymore in the company of Kaleb.

When it came to the two winter fairies, Eris tried to be friendly enough. She’d attempted to apologize to Bowyn, but she knew it would likely mean little to the man. He had quite the dislike for elves and her actions in River Port hadn’t helped him warm to her. So she figured all she could do was be as friendly as possible. Ismael, Kharne, and Bron she was rather neutral with as well, being just as friendly to them as she was to everyone else. In the end, the four months had been spent strengthening relationships with those she wished and training the humans in magic so they would be less likely to lose control.

Present

Eris had read the letter Bardulf had left, unsure if she really wished to go hunting. It was her first day in a while not having to do much in training the humans with magic. She wasn’t sure if she really wanted to spend the rest of the day hunting. She glanced over once more at the paper sitting on the desk, pausing in the what she was writing. She supposed she could see what the others were planning.

As if on cue, her ears picked up the sound of a familiar voice and she couldn’t stop herself from grinning. She set her quill down and waved her hand as the paper vanished to somewhere unknown. She could finish her progress on that later as she assumed someone else was in need of her attention. Attention she was happy to give, mind you. She waited patiently as she heard the footsteps getting closer. It wasn’t until she heard the firm knock that she rose to her feet and began making her way towards the door.

”A delivery? Oh I do hope that it’s my favorite human.” She said loud enough for Kaleb to hear as she approached the door. She unlocked the door, something many would find was a habit of hers, before opening it. She met the man’s stare with a coy smile. ”Oh my, he’s far more handsome than I expected! I may need to be caught as I swoon over him!” She said dramatically as she fanned herself before letting out a small giggle.

”Care to come in, darling? Or did you have other plans?”

Kaleb reflexively yet momentarily raised his eyebrows upon hearing Eris’ reply from outside of her room door. Her reply had been a reminder of why he enjoyed her company. Alluring, knowledgeable, and witty all combined and contained within a gorgeous shape. What was there not to like about that?

In spite of Kaleb’s feelings for Eris, however, he couldn’t ignore the conceptual walls Eris placed up. He couldn’t deny that he had his own he, and so silently the two agreed to this thing they had between each other.

Eris’ next comment as she opened the door initially caused a silent chuckle to escape him, forcing him to reveal his pearly whites to her. In a way, Eris earned the pleasure.

“To swoon, or not to swoon? Either way, you’ll end up in my arms, right? Kaleb shrugged with a grin before taking a single step through the doorway to close the distance. Neither of them needed to answer the latter question.

“And ‘other plans’ can wait until we figure out what we’re going to do on our day off.” As Eris allowed him into the room, he took the liberty of shutting and locking the door behind her as she normally preferred. He spotted yet another copy of Bardulf’s invitation on Eris’ end table. “You get that letter from Bardulf, too? Seems fun, but that probably means everyone’s going…” Kaleb took a seat at the foot of Eris’ bed, leaning slightly back with his hands firmly planted on the soft blanket dressed on top the bed’s surface. “I’m thinking we can do our own thing. Make it an adventure.”

Armor: Leather Vest with Armor of Deflection charm, Rest of outfit minus the gloves.
Weapons: Steel Short Sword with Shift Charm transforming it into a chain knife, and a small boot knife.
Equipment: a backpack containing: 1 large red potion, 1 green potion, 3 large blue potions, 2 small blue potions, a hunting knife, a flask, small tent, blanket, waterskin, rope, fire starting kit, lightmaker, matches, cooking pot, a bar of soap, some drugs (skaula and zemak), rolling papers, pipe, and a pouch of amas. A gorestria gem ring.

Bowyn breathed out a sigh of relief. I did good. He thought, Rue liked his gift, and Rue was never insincere. He slipped his own ring back onto his finger and smiled as he hugged Rue back. This was probably the warmest he’d felt in the last four months. Then she let him go and mentioned having dinner tonight. Rue was always thinking about food, thinking about all those important things he often forgot about.

Dinner? Like a normal dinner? Was this a special dinner? Were others going to be there? Did he have to dress up? Bowyn wasn’t entirely sure what dinner meant. He was sure that he hadn’t been entirely clear when he’d spoken that he’d meant it less as a ‘friend’ gift and more as an ‘I kind of hope I do have to buy nicer clothes to go to dinner with you’ kind of gift. Maybe now, in the middle of a war, wasn’t a good time to have that sort of conversation either. At least dinner was a while away, he’d have some time to figure it out.

Then he heard Kaleb’s voice and Bowyn’s eyes went cold as he watched him walk by. Kaleb the Liar, who had gone around pretending to know Arn and had egged Bowyn on in his aversion to the dwarf. The more Bowyn saw of Kaleb, the more evident it became that Kaleb would always put himself first and the less Bowyn liked him. The human acted more like a pretentious elf than most of the elves even did. Things that might be easier for him to shrug off, had they come from anyone else. when spoken by Kaleb, seemed to only slither beneath his skin Today it was phrase Hashtag BoRue, which Bowyn didn’t understand but judging by Kaleb’s snicker, the fairy took it as a mockery.

“I bet he’s off to chase that ancient elf around like an imprinted duckling.” Bowyn muttered and knew Kaleb was probably way out of earshot by now but it at least helped the fairy feel a bit less agitated.

”So! Where would you like to go? Your choice!”

Rue’s question redirected his attention from thinking of how annoying Kaleb was and back to Rue and the offer of dinner. It seemed easy enough to narrow down the options, someplace nice but not obvious that he was hoping this was a date. Someplace that was nice but also comfortable. That made it an easy choice.

“Dinner? Well, I don’t think any place here rivals Utada’s, so how about there?” He offered. “And what of the rest of the day? Any big plans for the rare day off?” Bowyn added glancing at the paper Rue held in her hand.

"If I couldn't, I wouldn't be a very good butler now, would I?" Nuallán said, with a playful smirk as he heard Rosaria replying to his jest.

When Rosaria approached, gently patting his cheek Nuallán let out a soft, warm smile, leaning against her hand as she did so.

"As long as you are safe and happy, as long as I can see your kind smile, I am more than satisfied." He said with a sweet smile before they went to where Slick was.

As Rosaria asked if anyone else was coming, Nuallán couldn't help but notice how Sophie seemed to be relaxed and comfortable around children as she drew them, being able to deal even with Orcish children, despite how fierce they were, similar to their parents. At first, Nuallán thought that Alette, the little pixie that had began accompanying Sophie, would prove to be a bit too much for her to handle, due to how mischievous and full of energy pixies normally were, but he was surprised to see that as the days passed, both of them became even closer and friendlier than he had expected. It seemed like small Alette's energy was very contagious, affecting even the quiet Sophie herself.

As Aurora replied to Slick, blushing heavily before mentioning she would prefer staying, Nuallán couldn't help but to wonder if Aurora would prefer going hunting with Slick if they were alone instead of being accompanied by the Princess and her butler. The way they had been acting around each other, it would be no surprise if Aurora had began nurturing some feelings herself towards Slick, just as he did for her.

As Rosaria mounted her horse, ready to go hunting, Nuallán, who was, as always, close nearby, was caught by surprise as Rosaria asked if he wanted to get up on the horse with her. He had already an answer in mind, should someone asked him if he wasn't going to take a horse and if he would be able to keep up with both Rosaria and Slick, but he definitely wasn't ready for Rosaria's words.

"K-Keep lookout, yes..." Nuallán said, cleaning his throat, trying to hide his embarrassment and struggling to answer as he accepted Rosaria's hand, getting up on the horse with her, gently patting Sugar as he did so.

“Hmm.” Slick quietly mused at Aurora’s reply. The way she stumbled about with the answer, caused the man to keep his evermore fixated on her. He wondered why she seemed so guilty in declining, he didn’t imagine himself being upset with her over it.

“Now, now, Aurora, you know I don’t like bein’ apologized to twice. ‘Specially for somethin’ you ain’t need to be apologizin’ for. You and that dang Leaf always apologizin,’” despite his complaint, a smile graced his face, assuring he had no hard feelings. Then with an effortless hop, he mounted Champ. “You could’ve left me out all by my lonesome but you gave me company and even hummed me somethin’ pleasant to pass the time… My very own songbird.” Slick nodded and winked with a big ol’ grin. He wanted to poke fun at her formality while also letting her know she really had no reason to apologize. “And may your blessin’ earn me somethin’ nice out there.”

Rosaria’s statement about heading out was something he could agree with. The hit time had already passed and unless Aurora suddenly decided to tag along, there was no sign of anyone joining the trio. Something she stated, however, piqued his curiosity. Converstaion for a dull moment. He made a note before chuckling at the exchange between Rosaria and Nuallán.

“As I said before, there won’t be any racin’ or goin’ too fast, so no worries about the possibility of gettin’ too excited up there, Nuallán.” Without missing a beat, he continued. “And, princess, I’m as ready as could be. Let’s ride!” Champagne walked forth before transitioning into a light trot. “So Princess Rosaria, what’s life like for someone of your… status? Do folk gotta bow down and carry your around a big ol’ castle or what?”

Once the initial meeting at the Port had blown over, Bron had managed to get to know Annya and Bardulf a little better as well as the rest of the Elf's retinue. However once arriving at North Pass, the usually quiet talk even ended up talking to a few of the members. First was Bardulf who was privvy to Bron's temper upon first meeting all those months ago. It turns out the two had quite a bit in common including their love of nature and the freedom the wilds bring. It was interesting to hear about the human's experiences in his own forest wilds compared to Bron's many years ranging the mountains. They even taught each other outside of training. Bron managed to teach Bardulf a trick or two in throwing axes and in turn he learn the basics of woodcarving. It seemed to be a prized hobby to Bardulf, and Bron had managed to craft a rough pendant to honor his dead brother as a result of the human's teaching.

A surprise to Bron would be the ever-so curious fairy, Rue. Anyone back home might've thought that Rue had simply worn the Dwarf down to tolerating the fairy but Bron genuinely found her inquisitive nature endearing. Though his outward look, remaining as cold as the Pass they now resided in, he always showed a little warmth whenever Rue wanted to chat or ask something of him. He was always happy to tell a story or two.

He even got to know Princess Annya better. He figured pretty early that the drunken stupor he had found her and Kaleb in wasn't her normal state and he appreciated that fact although still did not remain too pleased about it. During their travels, Bron found that Annya was truly deeply caring for both the humans and her comrades. Turns out Annya could have quite a commanding presence, especially when something needed doing. To this effect, it actually earnt a bit of respect from Bron towards the Princess and when he was asked to help lead martial and physical training, he happily took on the responsibility.

Bron was hard but fair when it came to training, ensuring that everyone was pushed their limits... Well, except for Kaleb. Any wise comment or backhanded remark would earn the human harsher reps in his exercise or a little extra force in sparring. Nothing too serious, of course, but just enough to let Kaleb know that Bron was on to him. No one would be excused from lacking in their training. Even if they were versed in magic, Bron made sure that everyone at least got acquainted with hand-to-hand combat just in case.

Dear Friends

I think we’ve come to enjoy our time here, and I would like to have us all have a fun day tomorrow. If you would like to come, please meet me and whoever else is attending outside the Odds and Ends shortly after 2pm. I know it’s our day off but I think this will be fun. We can go shopping for some new gear, and then I was thinking of having us all go on a little hunting trip outside of town. We could even make it a friendly competition! Whoever brings back the biggest kill wins! Or we can just do it for fun, really whatever everyone fancies. I look forward to seeing you all!

Sincerely,
Bardulf

It was a letter that Bron hadn't been expecting, but he did welcome it. Hunting to gather more food certainly wouldn't hurt and it would be nice to get out of the lodgings for a moment. The Dwarf gathered his equipment and threw on his amulet and cloak, swiftly setting off to the Odds and Ends for the meeting. Upon arrival, he would note that not too many had arrived yet. Bron would pull his hood back and nod towards each member of the hunting party in greeting. "Bardulf, thank you for recommending this. Will... we be the only ones attending?"

Dante Blackbourn

Time: Night
Location: River Port
Interactions: Darius @FunnyGuy, Menzai @samreaper, Isolde @Blizz, Aiden @potter
Equipment: Clothes, Steel Sword (Still thinking on what to do with Amas)

The past four months had been filled with intense training in physical and magical aspects and Dante was at the helm of it all. He treated the group of misfits as he would his own soldiers, yet he allowed them to have a bit of free time. Work hard, play hard. A perfect balance that would ensure they all became proficient in the training he offered but also without burning them out in the process. Sure, there were complaints, especially at the start but eventually, the training became a part of their new life in this very new world.

Discovering he could wield the element of fire at command gave him a slight boost to his ego, even if he didn’t outright say it. Who wouldn’t be psyched with having pyrokinesis? Despite knowing its strengths, Dante was also privy to how cautious he should be when using the wildest of the five elements. It might have been more challenging, but he wasn’t alone in his endeavour. Not only did he have Darius with his hydrokinesis to correct any of his mistakes (to think that Darius of all people would have such a role!), but Aiden was also gifted the power to conjure and manipulate flames. Not only was she someone he could bounce ideas off of concerning pyrokinetic magic but he began to grow quite close to her as they spent more time together. It was only natural that the two became an item.

Dante lay in the bushes beside the group listening as they all arrived. “You all fail! Late as always. That’s what is going on, Isolde.” He said as he got up in a homemade ghillie suit.

Rosaria

Time: 2pm
Location: Dugmaghord
Interactions: @13org Nuallán, @FunnyGuy Slick &
Mentions: @Mole Aurora

Nuallán's embarrassment caused Rosaria to blush furiously. She ducked her head and pretended to be adjusting the stirrups. Fortunately, Slick was busy conversing with Aurora, so she doubted he’d seen. When it faded, she straightened up after seeing Nuallán's hand patting Sugar and knew he was on the horse. His presence behind her was… comforting, but awkward, since she wasn’t used to it. Still, she didn’t mind his company, and found herself enjoying being… closer to him. She knew he could have kept up on his own, yet having him part of the conversation and nearby, was also enjoyable.

Nonetheless, she leaned forward and picked up the reins. With a click of her tongue and squeeze of her legs, Sugar joined Champ by transitioning into a light trot and kept pace with him. She smirked at his question and shook her head lightly. A crease formed over her eyebrows as she glanced at him. ”I did have times where I was arrogant and my parents humbled me by showing me the dangers and horrors of Avalia. I’ll never forget those memories.” Rosaria continued speaking, far more than she was used to with strangers.”I grew up and matured quicker than most of my peers because of that. When you take away my title, I’m just another light elf. I'm expendable.” She paused, then turned to face forward to keep her eyes on the trail. ”I learned to take pride in being who I am and in the family, because I am in the position to help make Avalia a better place.”

She paused, before adding quietly, ”I was too buried in training, magic, and studies to make friends and the ones I had weren’t interested in doing what I was doing. Some Avalians looked down on me for my status and made it awkward to interact with others.” She realized she may have dampened the mood and added brightly, ”But I have my wonderful sister, and the greatest butler in the world now.”

Speaking of her butler... Rosaria grinned and glanced over her shoulder at him. ”Too bad we missed the opportunity to see you unleashed. Maybe on the way back?” With a wink, she turned to face forward once more.

Menzai Isanami

Time: Morning

Location: River Port beach

Interactions: Isolde @Blizz Dante, Darius @Alivefalling @FunnyGuy Aiden @Potter
Mentions:

Equipment: White Haori, Gauravian luck charm bracelet

Gaurav

Menzai savored the peace and quiet while sipping at the tea knowing this would be his last chance with the group setting off before long. Of course, it would not be a quiet departure as he knew the village were preparing a sendoff banquet; taking into consideration that the event would happen either way, the canine decided to have the humans offer a hand with it, but in a way to allow the chance to have each of them demonstrate the efforts of their training.

Even now, the top hunters of the village waited within the forest. Everything was ready with some help from Dante who was currently hiding in the nearby bushes (which he gave no sign of acknowledging his presence) though he only knew the general info of what was planned.

Before long Darius, Isolde and Aidan arrived which he would give a nod to each in turn with a brief greeting and a motion to join him to drink tea. Otherwise, he remained silent; like always he was a wolf of few words who preferred to wait till everyone was gathered as he did not want to have to explain more than once.

Now that they were gathered and Dante finally revealing himself in that nonsensical suit of his, Menzai was ready to speak as he placed the empty teacup down then rested his hands on his lap."Thank you for gathering here as requested." Pausing to aim a stern gaze at Dante and Aidan in turn for the male's extreme antics and the woman's crude manner of greeting before continuing.

" Four months have passed since I have brought you to my home and during this time each of you has shown an impressive affinity and growth with your magic. Your efforts have born fruit. Through all the training and interactions, I have learned much on the ways of humans and of course we must extend our thanks to Dante. For it is thanks to his training regimes that has allowed everyone here to learn and control their abilities in best ways possible." Pausing once more to give any that wished to offer their thanks as well a chance, observing their faces to see what they thought so far about everything they had gone through.

These four were nearly unrecognizable from themselves four months ago who were confused, uncertain and excitable that lacked the understanding and concept of how to utilize their magic. They have grown much and bonded closer with some closer than others. (something Menzai found most unexpected but fascinating at the same time) At least when it came to the use and skill of their magic, but personality wise they still showed signs of immaturity; bickering over small arguments or pulling pranks though this was simply how humans seemed to be from his observations of them.

" Now that each of you are capable to fight and defend, I have deemed the time is right to leave Gaurav and venture off to do what you all feel that you must do. However, I must reiterate that none of you have no obligations nor feel the need to get involved in the troubles of this realm. And so, I have prepared a... as you or the young ones put it, a game." Giving them a moment to take in his words wanting them to understand that whatever happened after this point would be by their own decision, even if it meant leaving the safe sanctuary of his village.

A part of him preferred that they remained here where he knew they would be safe allowing him to set out to find other humans that might not have been as lucky as these four. An opinion he kept to himself." If you are still decided to leave with me then you must participate in this game to both test and demonstrate everything you have learned. Those that choose to participate shall be hunting within the woods."

Moving his right hand to point at four trees which had a circular painted marker, each at a different point of the clearing leading into the forest." Once I have finished explaining the rules you may choose one of the marked trees. Now, for explanations." Clearing his throat with a small cough.

" First, the goal is to collect thirty points. You are to catch and hunt animals until you have attained such. Small animals shall be worth two points, medium animals are worth five and large animals shall be eight points. Next will be the rules." This time holding up a clawed finger for each rule he states and explain." Rule one. You are allowed only the use of your magic and hunting knife prepared at each tree. Two, you are to hunt solo only. No helping or assisting others though you are free to hinder through indirect means only, no direct attacks to the other competitors." His gaze was sharp as he explained this to show how serious this rule was as this was to be a fun test, not something to hurt each other over." Continuing on. rule three, you are to hunt with precision and control and as such must avoid causing any major damage to the forest while minute damage which of course is unavoidable is fine. Rule four, once an animal has been marked by a dagger it is claimed and until otherwise remains open game." Leaving the explanation at that for rule four; curious to see if they would catch on." And finally, rule five. There is a beast that wakes during this time of the year that lurks within the mythic fog. This shall be the only time permission to enter said area is given and those choosing to accept the risk to attempt hunting this beast may do so and choosing to attempt it will the 2nd rule be disregarded as you are free to enlist the others or choose to do so solo though I do not recommend it. The fog beast will be worth 120 points evenly split between those working together and succeed to slay the beast."

With that, the rules for the game were finished as Menzai once again paused to let them take in everything that was explained." The hunt will begin in five minutes with one hour and forty minutes as the time limit." The time limit was two hours had they arrived on time." There are hunters that are hidden who will be watching and checking the claim kills and reporting to me. Three strikes of cheating are given, any more will be considered disqualified. With that, I have explained the game and its rules. Decide your plans or ask any questions you may have then select a tree to wait for the hunt to begin." With that, Menzai ceased talking and went to pouring himself another cup of tea as they were free to discuss and figure out what they wanted to do if they chose to participate.

Those that did would see they had the colors blue, green, purple and pink. At the base of the trees a lone hunting knife was stuck into the ground and on closer look would see the blade was covered in a marking fluid matching that on the tree.

Rue

Time: Afternoon
Location: North Pass
Interaction: @helo Bowyn
Equipment: Small backpack, two knives, rations, water flask, food, hygiene products, Old outfit
New purchases: Female outfit, Bow & quiver of Arrows (*I will edit this after I give it more thought.*)

Rue beamed at his response. Not only had he said yes which made her heart flutter, but she loved Utada’s. That had been one of her favorite places in North Pass. He’d said yes… Was this more than just friends going to dinner? His words had teetered on the edge of friendship and dating. This was something she'd put aside for now and focus on enjoying Bowyn's company. In her eyes, his company was her favorite's and something she'd never tire of either. Blushing now, and taking time to think, Rue glanced at the paper in her hand and felt his gaze upon it also. Did he want to go hunting or relax? She’d have to find out.

”I have Bardulf’s paper to go hunting. Would you like to join him? I don’t think the duckling and its mother are going.” Rue commented quietly, knowing they were out of earshot and enjoyed poking fun at Kaleb and Eris. She paused, and folded her hands behind her back and added, ”Or we could enjoy the beautiful snow! Up to you.”

As Nuallán sat down behind Rosaria, he couldn't help but feeling that what he was doing was something no butler should ever do. Especially not a butler from the Varnion lineage, which were praised as the best among the best. Such feeling of guilt only made the ride even more awkward for Nuallán. Even though he did care for her a lot, it was the first time since Nuallán became Rosaria's butler that he found himself so close to her. He didn't know how he should act, what he should do or even if he had the right of being so close to her, after all, he had no doubts that what he was doing would be considered both a shameful and disgraceful conduct for a Varnion butler. Despite all that, it was undeniable that it was... comforting being close to someone whom he deeply cared for and admired. Someone who was able to be so strong and tenacious, but at the same time, so kind.

Fortunately, the awkward silence between him and Rosaria was soon broken by Slick, who asked Rosaria how the life of someone of her status was. As Rosaria began replying, the moment she said that without her title, she was just an expendable light elf, Nuallán politely interrupted her by clearing his throat.

"Princess Rosaria, forgive my interruption, but... I find it hard to believe that someone so strong, determined and at the same time, so incredibly kind could be considered 'expendable'." Nuallán said. The tone of his voice, despite being slightly playful, made it clear that he wasn't saying such things just to flatter her.

"Despite carrying such an incredibly heavy burden and an immense responsibility, you still persevere. Selfless, kind, strong and determined. Someone who is willing to take the weight of the entire world on their shoulders, if it means protecting their people and those whom you love." Nuallán finished, with a kind, warm smile, which remained on his face for a brief moment, until he realized that he was still, incredibly close from Rosaria, which made him immediately lower his head in a polite bow, hiding his embarrassment under the guise of respectfulness and professionalism.

When Rosaria turned over, asking if they would be able to see him 'unleashed' on the way back, Nuallán smiled as she winked and turned forward again.

"Some exercise would be a perfect way to... relax a bit." He said with a chuckle. Coincidentally, Rosaria would quickly notice how rigid and tense Nuallán's body and muscles were, betraying the nervousness he was feeling under the composed and professional mask he wore.

Isolde Ryder

Time: 2pm
Location: Guarav Village
Interactions The Fuckwit Brigade and Corporal Yiffenheimer
@Potter@FunnyGuy@samreaper@Alivefalling

"The suit's a nice look, but I'll have you know that I arrived here at exactly the time I intended to, Blackbourn." Was she spooked by the sudden ambush from Seargent Sparky? Not in the least. In fact, "Dante Jumping out of The Bushes in a Ghillie Suit" was on her latest issue of Avalia Bingo. She snapped back at him in a witty, but ultimately amused tone. He might've ran them around like soldiers, but a soldier she was not. Sometimes she wondered which one of them was the older brother, and this was why. Flipping her hair off of her shoulder, she focused her attention more on the adult in the metaphorical room. They were going to hunt in sport. Of course, Isolde liked the part about the beast and about working together. As soon as Menzai finished explaining the rules, she spoke up.

"If we're voting, I vote we all go for the fog beast. It's a team effort if we do that which means we can play off each other's magic. And this forest is massive. We get lost while we're alone, we either forfeit or hope we can find our way back." To say nothing of the fact that she didn't want to be running through a forest alone again. "Three of us can burn this forest down with one mistake using just magic, Darius is the hydromancer here. We'd be better off hunting together." Isolde's lightning could do some strange things when bolstered by any of these three. Water could conduct lighting, and fire could turn it into plasma, or Isolde could zap a tree to make a flame. They had been training as group, and if they were to play into the best of their strength, then they needed to act like a group.

Bardulf stood on the freshly packed snow, his footprints marking his path towards the Odds and Ends store, with its homely appearance inviting him in to enjoy some warmth. However, he knew he had to wait for his companions or they may well not find him. It was the rushing footsteps of an all too familiar elf that lightened his mood as he knew that at least one person would come.

"Bardulf! I got your letter!" The small built elf made her way, kicking through mounds of snow until she reached him, offering "ideas and treats" as she said.

"Ideas? Treats? Color me intrigued. I am glad you could make it, Annya. I...may I?" He paused for a moment before slowly grabbing one of the steaming buns from her basket. His stomach was suddenly alive with energy as it growled and turned at the prospect of the delicious snack in front of his. He took a bite of the warm and fresh snack, a cascade of flavor and warmth spilling into his throat as he chewed and swallowed. His face lit at up the contrasting temperature of the meal versus the colder conditions around him. He hardly noticed Ismael approaching as he devoured the rest of the meat-bun.

"Oh rice balls. Don't mind if I do~" Bardulf's face rushed slightly with some color, both from the warmth of the buns but the slight embarrassment of how he had devoured his snack so ravenously in front of others. He swallowed and cleared his throat before looking towards Ismael, his brain finally catching those initial greetings he had initially given. He returned the patting on his back with a slight pat on Ismael's shoulder. "Ismael it's good to see you. How is...Billy?..is that his name?...How is he doing?" He would let Ismael speak for a moment before proceeding, and out of the corner of his eye, noticed Bron approaching. His nervousness rose as more people came, but it was met with an equal sense of relief as he found that the people he'd come to train and learn with were becoming his genuine friends.

"Bardulf, thank you for recommending this. Will... we be the only ones attending?" Bardulf gave a slight shrug and spoke with a slightly unsure tone. "Well I mean even if it's just us four, I would be happy with the turnout. Eris and Kaleb will likely be together wherever they are, same goes for Rue and Bowyn. I'm sure they might have other ideas for their day off. Kharne himself might even be training off in the woods for all I know. But, I do have some shopping to do, if you all would like to partake? Whoever is here when we are all done can come along for the hunting trip!" He spoke with some excitement as his words flowed, feeling oddly happy to have so many people near him for the first time in what felt like a decade. He turned to open the door to the shop, warmly greeting everyone as he opened the door and ushered them inside. "After you, my friends."

“That be somethin’ interestin’.” Slick said more to himself than to the others. If they hadn’t been elves then it’s likely they wouldn’t have even heard him at all. He was also being honest about what he thought of Rosaria’s place among her people. It was… Slick would say it was backward from what he expected. He almost asked a follow-up question but Nuallan beat him to the punch with his own input. In fact, it was a disagreement with Rosaria’s claim to being as expendable as any other elf. Slick also disagreed but for a different reason. Not wanting to interrupt, Slick allowed the Nuallán to speak his point before he started going on about exercise that would help him relax.

“Hold your reigns Nuallán. Now I ain’t about stoppin’ a man from gettin’ what’s his but you can do whatever exercising with the lady once you back.” Slick snapped with a very serious look about him. He stared their way, silently letting them both know he was not going to be the third wheel to any funny business.

“Now that we have that simmered. I think you’re wrong about that title of yours. You must think everyone’s equal or somethin’ but that ain't true no matter how you cut it. Give me all the titles you want, change my name, hell, change my world. I’m me. And bein’ ain’t like bein’ anyone else. Same goes for you, princess.” Slick said with a nod before cueing Champagne to gallop with two clicks of the tongue.
