Kieran Kent aka Kor-El is actually Lor-Zod, the son of Dru-Zod. He was conceived, born and raised in part of the Phantom Zone where time still moved. He was seen as a last chance of salvation for the prisoners of the zone. He was freed a few years before the Despero attack, but due to some unforeseen and unknown circumstances his memories were wiped.

A young child at the age of eleven in a strange, unknown world with no friend or family in sight. He just sort of drifted for a while. Learning English wasn't difficult for him. He watched TV's in windows and read newspapers and picked it up rather quickly and efficiently. He found out about heroes, the Justice League, and most importantly Superman this way. He didn't know how, but he recognized the crest on the hero's chest. He followed the story to Metropolis where he ended up encountering his first villain. At first he just thought he was a weird little man that wanted to play, but he soon realized that the games this man wanted to play were dangerous. He took down the Toyman and continued his search.

His search didn't take long because what he was looking for had found him. Superman tried to help him figure out who he was or where he came from, but he didn't have any luck and a huge part of Clark felt that in a way all Kryptonians were his responsibility and he knew that Lois wouldn't forgive him if abandon this kid to be on his own. So he took him to Smallville where he gave him a name, introduced him to Jon and Lois, and enrolled him in school, but not before teaching him how to control his powers. Kieran had a family and he was happy, but that would change one fateful day a few years later when Despero attacked and his new mother was killed.

Kieran loved Clark, but he could always see a deep sadness within him that he wished he could do something about. He had grown to love Lois too, but his grief was nowhere near on the same level as his father's. Having the powers of a god, but being unable to save the one you love made it all pointless. Part of Kieran felt responsible as well. He wasn't a member of the League but he should have been there. He was a Kryptonian. What good were these powers if he didn't use them when the world needed them most? Kieran did the best he could to help him in his grief, but he knew that nothing he could do would ever be enough. He wasn't his real son and he couldn't bring his wife back either.

After a while Kieran was bored with the mundane. He wanted to show Clark that he was wrong to retire and that his team of heroes were wrong to disband. With his reluctant blessing Seraph started his career as both a solo and team player. At the time the name Superboy was taken and he honestly didn't feel himself worthy of the name Superman after all he had learned, but wanted to one day earn it so for now he'd take to the skies as Seraph, Earth's Angel.

Superman is without a doubt my favorite superhero, the other being Dick Grayson and whatever costume he's wearing. Anyway, I love Kryptonians and what you can do with them storywise when it comes to these godlike beings wanting to experience life as humans while doing what they can to protect them. I also like the premise of nature vs nurture which is what I'm going with here. Kieran here is giving a clean slate and one day there is a possibility of his memories coming back and he'll have to decide whether he's loyal to Earth, Superman, and his role as a hero or will he be loyal to his true family and his father's nature and plans for him?

With Kieran he's going to be battling a lot mentally. Not as concerned with his amnesia he's more concerned with being worthy in the eyes of a grieving father who may not even truly see him. He's just another reminder of what he lost with Krypton and even in his retirement he's being forced with responsibility he never asked for. Whether or not that's how Clark sees it that's how Kieran sees it. He also feels overshadowed by Jon, his true son, and Conner, the carrier of his mantle despite him being the true Kryptonian.

Also I know the Justice League disbanded four years ago, but if any teen groups popped up or stayed during that time Kieran likely would've joined one or two during these past four years.

For thousands of years, the Amazons of Themyscira thrived in peaceful isolation, until a stranger washed ashore on their island. An outsider, a soldier named Steve Trevor, had crashed his plane on a vital mission to save innocent lives. To learn how much the world of men had changed in their exile, the Amazons chose to send a champion and emissary to return Trevor to his home. A contest was held to see who would be their champion, and much to the shock and surprise of the Queen Hippolyta, the winner was none other than her daughter Diana, who had entered the contest against her mother's wishes. Having proved herself worthy of the task, Diana was granted weapons forged by the gods, vowing to protect not just the Amazons, but all of humanity, from the forces of evil.

Upon arriving in Man's World, she was dubbed 'Wonder Woman,' and was surprised to find herself just one of many costumed champions of good. For several years, Diana fought the good fight, joining forces with the alien Superman, the vigilante Batman, and many others to form the Justice League, in the hopes of being a guiding light for all in dark times. She won victory after victory, defeating the forces of the sinister war-god Ares, the bestial Cheetah, the brutish Giganta, the diabolical sorceress Circe, and even her own magical clone Donna Troy, eventually helping her duplicate redeem herself and become a hero in her own right.

These victories, however, would amount to precious little when the alien conqueror Despero came to Earth. Wonder Woman was one of the first to engage the brute, and initially had him defeated, offering to spare his life if he left the people of Earth alone. Despero would take advantage of this momentary act of mercy to blindside Diana, leaving her nearly crippled and out of the fight, helpless to watch as thousands died in the ensuing battle.

Blaming herself for Despero's rampage, Diana has spent the past four years pushing herself harder than ever. Even as she exhausts herself trying to make up for the blood she believes to be on her hands, she now finds herself questioning the mercy that Despero had exploited, and has begun to wonder if humanity truly needs another 'hero,' or if what it really needs in these times is a warrior.

This version of Wonder Woman has been operating as a superhero nearly as long as Bruce and Clark, and given the weirdly timeless nature of Themyscira, has probably been training and studying for far longer. In terms of her powers, she's roughly on par with her movie counterpart, strong enough and fast enough that she can perform incredible feats, but still has to rely on her skills and her weapons to contend with the real heavy hitters. Ever since the dissolution of the Justice League, she has kept fellow heroes at arms' length, even ones she had once considered dear friends. She has been in a crisis of confidence since then, wondering if the high-minded idealism of the League was ever a good idea. This is an especially precarious point, as she's now also responsible for the impressionable young Cassie, and has to decide what kind of lessons she is going to teach her protégée.

Wonder Woman is a character that I feel suffers in a solo setting, since no two writers can ever seem to agree on the finer points of her mythos or her supporting cast. Because of that, I want to make her a roaming character, able to wander in and out of events with other players and play off of them.

I also think that given the nature of this game's premise, Diana is probably the best character DC has to play around with the relationship between superheroes and death. Like, we know Batman is never going to kill the Joker, so it feels almost like a waste of time when they bring it up. People get up in arms for years when Superman puts down a genocidal maniac in a movie, to the point where it's haunted the character for nearly a decade now. It's been hard-etched in stone that Batman doesn't kill, and Superman shouldn't kill. But Wonder Woman? She just might. And what's more, she might be completely right to do so. While I have no intention of turning Diana into a bloodthirsty warmonger (she's an Amazon, not a Klingon), I think she's the right character to explore the concept of powerful people having the power of life and death, and can make a persuasive argument for either side without coming off as a preachy, meta-aware lecture.

I always knew Steve Trevor was one of Diana's powers and abilities.

Ironically, I was going to play a rageful cosmic-travelling Kara until I decided that was dumb because I'm doing cosmic in the Marvel game. Don't want too much of the same thing, after all...

Should I be accepted with Static, feel free to reach out and let me know if you want your character to be one of the first stops on Virgil's tour of superheroes across America. I'm seeing a decent amount of former Leaguers and old teen heroes he could have been teammates with that would make for strong allies he'd seek out.

Hell yeah, man. I'm game for some shenanigans, considering both of our boys have had at least some time with the Titans and are the wandering type.

Let's do this thing.

Depending on how the timeline works out, Jason and Virgil could have been teammates. Static was with the team about 9 years ago for 16 months.

Ehh... not sure the timeline me and Master Bruce worked out really meshes with that, but Static probably was around the same time Dick was, so he'd have at least heard of him.

Of course, they could just run into eachother on the road at some point and get up to some chicanery without the need for past ties. Either way, we can just play it by ear.

It was worded in a way to not bog down anyone who wanted to play either Titans or YJ in the future. Vagueness and all that.

@Sir Lurksalot for sure. I'm sure they'll be plenty of opportunities we can work out for them to stumble across one another.

Actually, I just double-checked. Jason was around as Robin at the time. Though probably not as a formal part of the Titans due to being... well, thirteen.

Maybe swing that he visited once or twice in that time to work with Nightwing and they met back then?

Hey now, Jay was more mischievous back in his really young days than anything. So probably less bratty whining and more Virgil having flashbacks of that time somebody put a little Nair in Nightwing's shampoo.
