Amara is of the particular 'branch' of the species that has a digitgrade posture and feet. She has a long tail with a tufted black tip the same colour as her hair, and relatively large ears for a Caitian, with lynx-like, tufted tips on them.

She has black, triangular stripes or markings that counter this, mostly along her back, but also on her cheeks, the top of her tail and on the 'outer' side of her limbs.

Amara had a relatively normal life on Cait (aka Ferasa), growing up in a regular family situation. Always fascinated by travel and by starships and exploration, joining Starfleet was a logical and natural fit for her.
While like most Catians, she is not overly violent or aggressive, she showed a natural prowess for martial arts and athletic pursuits, as well as a keen eye and easy grasp of the use and application of tactical systems, weaponry and their workings. She also showed a clear and keen grasp of strategy, escalation, and the other aspects of dangerous situations, leading her into a tactical role - although, she was equally interested in the pyschology of situations, and at one point almost went into the field of counselling, as this reflected her loving, open, caring and inquisitive nature about others and their personalities, thoughts, traits and minds.

During her time at the academy, she studied hard and eagerly, though not without having her fun; she gained something of a reputation for having a string of very intense, passionate, but brief romantic entanglements, as well as being very embracing of the idea of 'R&R' by thoroughly engaging with - and even organising - more than a few excursions to various party spots.
Despite this carefree side and what would appear to be lacking in seriousness or care for her role or career, or even those around her, Amara does have a serious and dedicated side, and is quite intelligent and thoughtful, and she cares deeply for those she gets close to and sharing her feelings and herself with others is an expression of that deep love and care she has for them - even if it does leave her vulnerable and often with conflicted feelings and thoughts.

Despite being well-versed and knowledgeable on the role and requirements of a tactical and security position, Amara has had little practical experience in the role so far, having only handled small and minor incidents in her position as a cadet, but no actual 'live-fire' situations, as it were. While she keeps it quiet and shows willing, enthusiasm and eagerness to her peers and superiors, there is a constant worry that she may freeze up or hesitate when the time comes for the real thing, and it may be in a situation that results in someone getting hurt, or worse, and how this may affect not just her career, but her life.

Despite her loathing of her 'reputation', such as it is, of being 'easy' and something of a 'freaky' lay, Amara does quietly embrace and enjoy quite an open 'intimate' life, though she is very, very adamant and firm that she doesn't want it to be her defining or memorable trait, or the only thing she is known for, and is keen to live it down.
She is also absolutely fascinated by the fact that Earth cats are so similar to Caitians, and the role they play in human society. Biography: Londo was born on his homeworld of Trill. Participating in the preparation and learning about what to expect being the host for a symbiote. His mother and father were famous surgeons who had participated in very delicate surgeries. He has an older brother named G'kar who later joined with the Edu symbiote. He studied medicine and botany before he joined the Xad symbiote. During his time he fell in love with another trill named Delhi. The two became very close but had to break it off because she wanted to focus on her career. This caused Londo to be very withdrawn from females. Londo was known to be quite a party animal drinking heavily and partying with his friends. Being a well-known and skilled surgeon, mostly focus on highly risky surgeries.

He first met the Xad symbiote when he was attending medical school. Communicating with them and growing a bond with them. The two decided to join with them because he wanted to know the many decades of knowledge they had.

After he joined the Xad symbiote he wanted to further his studies by joining the Federation. During this time he had a few friends of various species. As a student he had a large group of friends, and was cheerful in his acceptance of ‘that guy who is good at math’-- and so found welcome in any number of study groups. Partying was not something he indulged in often, keenly aware that sobriety and command were important partners, but neither was he a complete shut in.

So far his career goals include helmsman and/or communications officer and working his way eventually into his own command. Biography: Years ago, Diana lived on a plant know as Nero 8. It was a Federation planet colonized three decades prior, with much of the planet being mostly untamed wilderness. Nero 8 was home to the terrestrial Starbase 97, a state-of-the-art facility with a port in the atmosphere for spacefaring vessels to dock for leave, maintenance, crew rotations, and anything else deemed necessary. Starbase 97 spanned roughly two and a half kilometers of land, and far beneath its surface, Diana was experimented on. She does not remember her life before this, or if she ever truly had one, but Diana was a test subject for a deranged scientist who became obsessed with extrasensory perception. He abducted certain individuals, and used unethical technology to wipe their memories of their home or families. Raised in captivity, Doctor Ryan Jenson subjected his playthings to torturous procedures designed to awaken, and amplify their potential for ESP. Jenson believed he could rewire the structure of a subject's brain to "align" them with the harmonic resonance of the Galactic Barrier, allowing them to tune into it like a radio. These procedures were painful, invasive, and traumatizing. They were often unsuccessful, only causing pointless agony to the victim. After roughly 40 trials, not a single subject had survived the procedure. All of them suffered neurological necrosis, their brains rotted away to pulp.

Except for Diana.

She was 11 years old when doctor Jenson administered the psychogenesis procedure. Diana suffered a severe aneurism, loss of motor control in her limbs and violent seizures for the next three weeks, but she survived. Her brain did not reject the treatment, even if it damn near killed her as well. When she recovered, the doctor redirected all of his resources into ensuring Diana's growth would not be impeded. His secretive facility under the starbase was made to withstand any kind of testing needed to promote the development of Diana's psychic abilities. By 15, she was able to read the thoughts on doctor Jenson's mind like second nature. She could move pieces on a 3D chess board without lifting a finger from across a room, and pick out any playing card in a deck before searching for it. Her abilities seemed to defy science, going as far as to project her voice into the mind of the crazed doctor despite not being a Betazoid. These achievements were groundbreaking, but they left scars on Diana's mind. She resented the doctor, resented being buried under miles of metal and rock where she'd never see the light of day. Diana wanted to escape and see the outside world that she knew was out there, but she wasn't strong enough.

The doctor's tests were cruel. There were days where she could barely stand due to the constant, invasive tests and how painful they left her. Harvesting brain cells for study under microscopes, induced atrophy to test if Diana could heal it with her mind, and mental stress tests were just a few of the psychotic things that Ryan Jenson put her through. Perhaps there was some figment of productivity in it all, because Diana eventually found a way to take her freedom from the jaws of purgatory. When Diana was 17, her psychic abilities reached their peak. She caught a glimpse of someone's thoughts, someone high above the atmosphere in Nero 8's orbital station. They weren't particularly important as an individual, but the very presence of this consciousness sparked Diana to question doctor Jenson. She asked him about the world outside the "science bunker" as he called it, but the doctor told her to ignore it. Despite his refusal to talk about the subject, Diana could feel the trepidation rolling off of him. He was afraid of what she could do, now that she could detect things miles in the sky. Emboldened by this, she refused to let the subject be ignored, and pressed him for information. They erupted into an argument, in which tempers flared enough that Jenson struck her across the face.

Diana did not bring it up again. Instead, she concentrated and slowly focused more and more on what she felt, until she became aware of the space station itself, not just an individual person. So many minds existed beyond her cage, and they were all free. Their emotions were feint, but they weren't sad or in pain like her. Why did so many people in the world feel happy and free when she did not? Why? Why? WHY?!

Diana decided that she was powerful enough to leave on her own. If Jenson would not let her live as her own person, then she would make that decision on her own terms.

One day, when the doctor was away, Diana reached into the atmosphere from far, far below Starbase 97. Her mind became an anchor, and she tied it to the space station. 30,000 kilometers of metal and crashed down to Nero 8 like a meteor from the heavens. The station's dilithium reactor, large enough to power a dozen Constitution starships, detonated on impact. The blast destroyed the entire Starbase and shook the geologic foundation of Nero 8 to its core. The strain took a great toll from Diana, who was knocked unconscious by falling debris and did not wake up for two days due to the mental strain. Diana found her way out of the destruction, and bore witness to a veritable apocalypse. Nothing but ash, dust, twisted metal and a burning sky were there to greet her. The death toll was in tens of thousands. Her arm had been dislocated from the destruction, but she was alive. Alive, and the only living soul on an entire planet.

She roamed the ruins of Starbase 97 for months, scavenging for scraps of food and knowledge to piece together the world around her. Diana found a phaser and used it to hunt animals that made their way through the ruins. She was alone on a barren rock, but she did not care, because she was alive and free. Her freedom would not last, though. The destruction of Starbase 97 and its sister station shocked the entire Federation. Three starships were sent to investigate under the assumption that this was a deliberate assault by Romulan forces. All three ships sent away large away teams to scour the base for survivors. After a week, the only survivor they found was a 17 year old girl with pale white eyes and a phaser. The team that found Diana struggled to get her aboard their ship, and struggled even more to give her medical attention. The sickbay's medical team tried to restrain her for her own good, but three different doctors were flung backwards. Security was called, and the girl was sedated just long enough to give her first aid. After the incident was taken care of and the search was called off, Diana was questioned extensively regarding many things, such as her "abilities" and the destruction on Nero-8, which was placed under quarantine until further notice. She denied knowing anything about the base's destruction- Who would blame that calamity on a child?

A team of scientists questioned her about her psychic powers, taking extensive interest in her. But they were all scared off when she offered to snap them in half with her mind. It was made very clear from the start that Diana could neither be studied safely, or allowed to go her own way. Starfleet command decided they would rather confine the girl to a cell and strap her to a bed to study her than let her live her life in peace. Her ESP abilities were so incredible that Starfleet command deemed it paramount to understand her. But despite this, Diana fought them at every chance, telling them they had no authority over her, that she would not be experimented on, and more. Her unique situation aside, the girl had nowhere else to go. Diana was to Earth, and brought before the Federation Council, the very heart of the Federation's legislation. The Council discussed her unique situation, having the highest ESP rating in Federation history by an absurd margin and wanting to simply be left alone, and proposed a compromise. They would not allow her to leave their sight, due to her dangerous nature and the prospect of scientific study, so they gave her two options.

Diana could join Starfleet as a cadet, under any division she felt interested in, and an order would be mandated for her autonomy to be respected while she adjusted and underwent her training through the academy. If she did, then Starfleet command would respect her boundaries, and would not impose their authority on her to learn the nature of her psychic abilities, or her history on Nero-8. She could use her abilities for the good of the Federation, and carve out a legacy where she meets the expectations of her supposed superiors. Diana would be respected, with the expectation that she respect the Federation and what it stood for.

Alternatively, Diana could refuse to join Starfleet, and she would be taken into custody. Diana would be committed to the finest scientific institution in the federation, where the greatest parapsychologists would study her in humiliating detail for the rest of her life. Her autonomy would be nonexistent, and she would be little more than something to be ogled and gawked at. Her brain would be surgically removed after her death, and anything interesting and remarkable about Diana's existence would be credited to a scientist who published a work about her.

Both options meant she lost the ability to make her own future, and find her own way in the world. But the record already showed that Diana was more than willing to use violence for the sake of protecting herself. Knowing this, the Federation Council was pleased that she decided to enroll in the academy. For the next two years, she dodged any and all demands by Federation scientists, and tried to make the best of her suboptimal situation. In spite of her unique background, Diana has proven to be very dedicated in her training and her fields of study. While she lacks a lifetime of education like most other cadets, the playing field is levelled out by her nature as a living trump card. She is now on the verge of graduating from the academy, but her grace period offered by the Council won't last much longer. One day, the order will be given to subject Diana to testing, per the agreement she made that allowed her to simply "adjust." Diana does not know when this day will come, only that it will.

• Diana is very, very good at three-dimensional chess. Even without her psychic abilities, she could defeat a Starship computer in less than 5 turns. She once beat a Vulcan flag officer in a match that lasted three hours, shortly after her trial before the Federation Council.

• Due to Diana's ability to read the thoughts of others, a discreet protocol is put in effect on any starship or starbase she occupies, outlying precautions that the chain of command, from commodore to chief, must take for the sake of security. These precautions are not taken under the assumption that Diana has ill intent, but solely under the assumption that she may learn sensitive information without actively searching for it.

Biography: Temuk was born on the Federation world of Kol-6, a colony world on the frontier of Federation space. Temuk's family mainly kept to themselves and tried not to cause trouble. Which his family's appearance did attract some attention as no one knew what their species was or where they came from. Temuk himself only knew a little about his people and their history at that point. As his parents died while he was young from a plague that spread throughout the Kol-6. Making his species' origins and culture a mystery to him.

After the plague was contained and dealt with, Temuk was alone, and a friendly Rigelian family that his parents knew decided to take him in and adopt him. Temuk, while grateful for this, early on he was nervous around his new family. However, he grew used to them and started to consider them as family, though he would still miss his parents.

One thing during Temuk's upbringing was that he discovered that he was a telepath and after proving it to his family. Did he get help with learning how to use it properly.

Initially, he was content about living on Kol-6 and working at a local science station. But, as his curiosity of the galaxy grew and his desire to discover information about his people. Temuk thought the best way to learn about the galaxy and his people was through Starfleet and so with his family's blessing.

Temuk traveled to Starfleet Academy and after getting his letter of recommendation, which was not easy, and did well during his studies. Though his appearance and being an unknown species meant that it was hard to blend in and sometimes the subject of bullying. Still, he would find friends and enjoy his time there. Being interested in astronomy, exoarchaeology, and stellar cartography.

Now, with only one final test to see if he could be a Starfleet officer. He was assigned to a training ship, and while he thinks that he could handle what his final test had in store for him. Temuk will discover that this final test is much more than he could imagine.

Biography:

Born on a Pakled freighter which frequented Federation space, early life for Ocano could be considered highly irregular. While most would consider the Pakled to be absolute idiots at worst, simple at best, the reality was more issues in communication, culture, and a tendency for Pakleds to enjoy misleading others to gain better deals. He, in sharp contrast, proved highly intelligent and unusually aggressive for a Pakled in the acquisition of information. He would beg his parents to try and give him just a few more credits for another PADD with some information or another, hone whatever juvenile skills in barter he otherwise had, and at times made attempts of thievery, creating a distraction at one end of the shop before going to the other. Soon enough, he would be seen as more of a nuisance than would be preferred by all involved.

In a bid to get their child away from whatever business they would try to conduct, as well as potentially avoid any disbarment from certain space stations where the law was not precisely well enforced, Ocano’s family pulled a few favors to have him be placed on Deep Space Station K-11 as one of the dockyard quartermasters. He found this to be immediately unsatisfactory, both because he really wanted to learn and because the job was unbearably boring. It did not of course help him that many of the other civilian employees stationed aboard K-11, as well as some of the Starfleet staff, would treat him differently due to being a Pakled, often assigning less mentally strenuous tasks to him which was an absolute insult to the young man. His speech impediments would however limit how well he could vocalize such issues without their easy dismissal and this combined with the far-off nature of the station ensured it would not be rapidly addressed. It would be during this time that his name turned from Okanodogok, which many of the other quartermasters struggled to pronounce, to Ocano.

As a result, Ocano found himself in the strange position of wanting to join an organization which promoted, at least as far as he was able to tell, the advancement of science. Of course, as he was not a citizen of the Federation, he found himself needing to convince the station’s Commanding Officer to gain a letter of recommendation. Such would be hard, primarily as Ocano had been relegated to menial tasks more often than not, though after some back-and-forth the CO handed him a test. Such was a copy, albeit five editions old, of one of the Starfleet Academy examinations for subspace communications and navigation. Ocano’s completion of the test was well within the time limit, his scores well within the needed parameters, and all said the only major issue would be grammatical errors in his explanation on warp field mechanics interfering with certain bands of subspace communications making the explanation somewhat difficult to read. He would be given the letter of recommendation, albeit with some warning that his writing needed work lest it make undue trouble. With that done he would go, no easy task considering the distance involved from K-11 to the Starfleet Academy, eventually arriving when USS Hertz was en route to the Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards for refit.

Once there, he found himself rather at home compared to his time aboard the freighter, and would soon enough be breaking rules for studying after schoolhouse hours. He found ancient civilizations to be fascinating, wonderful pieces of history that were so often ignored wantonly by the usual even when it had so much to potentially teach. He found languages, at least in understanding them, to be likewise fascinating, though Ocano had far greater trouble in ever speaking such languages than any Pakled might in speaking normal English. The more practical courses would prove to be nearly second hand to the space-born Pakled, navigation and communications an easy task after he had stood on the bridge for many a year. Making friends during the whole of his time at the Academy would be a difficult task, however, primarily by the speed that seemed to be required to begin such conversations. Such would be relieved by his joining to the Academy wrestling team, something which caused a minor debacle when the team placed 2nd in the Sector Championship for the first time in fifteen years. He formed close bonds with his teammates, relying on one another pretty well whenever any issues arose outside of normal practice hours.

Finally, after six years of hard study, Ocano is at that final step: the shakedown cruise.

Other Details:

Ocano is rarely talkative, though possesses a surprising sense of humor with poking fun at others, all while keeping the facade of someone simply stating facts. He knows a dozen spoken languages, can translate out numerous dead languages with a good chance of being correct, and generally has a knack for translating languages whose origin, rules, or lexicon is unknown.
