The Imperial Intelligence centre on Fondor was a buzz of activity. A datapad had been stolen, that listed various agents that II and the ISB had placed within certain groups and organisations in the Galactic mid-rim, shortly after a Y-Wing broke out of the disassembly line of the aging Republic fleet. In the ensuing dogfight the bombers astromech was disabled as it shot into hyperspace on an unstable trajectory.
Exaron was a world on the fringe of the mid-rim. A mining and agricultural colony that had been in the Separatist Alliance during the Clone Wars, and a holdout for a very short period of time after the end of the war. An Aging Venator the Redemption stood guard over the planet. Governor Perditas flagship, surrounded by her small fleet of support ships and cruisers. Scorch marks of battles long past marked the hull, battles long forgotten in the Clone Wars and more recent skirmishes against pirates, smugglers and dissidents in nearby systems.
The officers on the bridge recieved the alert, the communique about the stolen Imperial Intelligence. Laughed at the fact that those from 'superior and more developed worlds' could make such a monumental mistake, and then went back to their game of sabacc on the makeshift table of crates on the bridge of the ship. They would file it with their daily report, no need to bother the governor with irrelevant information.
Alarms blared as the Y-Wing dropped in system, flame and smoke billowing from the small craft as it tore through the atmosphere and crashing on barren planes near Tregallon. One of the traitors last concious actions after securing the information, was to send out a distress call on all frequencies. In the hope that someone sle found him, before the Empire did.
Unfortunately luck was not on his side, the local Imperial Garrison swarmed his ship, taking him high into the mountains. Before he crashed, nobody of any importance within the Galaxy knew about Exaron or where it was. Within an hour of his crashing, three Imperial Star Destroyers and their escorts arrived in orbit. Locked down the planet, and as fresh droops descended from the sky the holonet was a buzz of activity. Removing any doubt about the fact;
Exaron was under Imperial Control
Welcome to Fires of Exaron, a roleplay set on a non-canon planet in the Star Wars Universe set in the year 5BBY (before the Battle of Yavin). In this roleplay, a Rebel Agent has crash landed on the planet Exaron with vital information for the loosely affiliated group of beings that will become known as the Rebel Alliance. The Rebel alliance needs this information, will you hinder or help?
In this roleplay I, as the Gamemaster, will not be having a set character. Instead it is my sole mission to act as NPCs and give you all guidance as you navigate this previously (mostly) peaceful world, as your characters try to navigate events that could spiral out of control very easily.
So the one question is, are you ready?
Important Information:
While I am subtmitting a lot of information, as the story grows and progresses new locations will be created by me, as well as characters, but also feel free to create your own as needed. This lexicon initially is to help you get started, and as the roleplay goes on it will be a helpful record of new places and faces.
Tregallon is the Capital City of Exaron. It is host to the main, and only, public spaceport on the planet. As such it hosts the busiest Bazhaars and Markets on the planet, as well as the densest population. Every amenity you need can be found in the sprawling cityscape. Like many worlds throughout the galaxy, the city layout is spherical. With the upper classes consisting of nobles and the wealthy inhabit the centre of the city.
What was once the Ministerial Government Island has been taken over the the local Imperial Garrison, all the ornate walls and plazas have been covered with fortifications made from plasteel and ferrocrete. Growing like a tumour out of the planets former centre for democracy.
MF27031995 was one of the lead ships in the former Governor Takers attempts to retain independence after the end of the war and Palpatine declared his New Order. In an attempt to retreat in battle, the ship lost power and was caught by Exarons gravity field crashing down into the Great Rainforest of Boa killing many of the sentient crew.
Her reactor cold, and spine broken she would never fly again. She was found by surviving members of the Separatist Insurgency three years later, becoming their base of operations. Camoflagued from above by the thick jungle and the plant life crawling over her hull, limited functionality has been restored. She is their greatest secret, and their last line of defence against a cold and cruel Empire.
An Imperial Intelligence listening and Naval Post, that until the Y-Wing crashed with crucial intelligence played host to two Imperial Intelligence Officers, One squad of Stormtroopers, two Wing of TIE fighters and one wing of TIE bombers, and five squads of Imperial conscripts. Since the crash, with the ensuing lockdown it has become very busy, and very crowded. It lies in a mountain range to the East of Tregallon, isolated and largely hidden.
The Galactic Empires presence on Exaron isn't as notable as more 'important' worlds. Either through Governor Perditas political connections, or through the fact that while it is a mining world many of the planets resource deposits have gone dry. Poorly equipped, and lacking manpower life on Exaron changed very little with the transfer of power from the Separatists to the Imperials. Other than the loss of local governance and elections, instead having a Governor put into place by bearucrats on Coruscant.
Those out of the cities have felt the sting harder, as anyone who is on land that is deemed to have resources under it is forced from their homes as the Empire expands its mining operations on the planet. These souls have formed a variety of shanty towns all over the planets surface. Just fighting to survive.
Many civillians don't particularly care who is in charge, however how will things now change with the lockdown.
Led by former Separatist Colonel Vath Ruun, the Invisible Hand are a group of Separatist Special forces who survived the Empires attack on Exaron and went to ground. Their numbers dwindling over the years, they call a fallen Munificent Frigate home. Numbering less than two hundred souls (and nearly the same again in old decrepit droids), they have managed to recruit over the years. People who came to realise the threat the Empire posed to all of them, those who lost loved ones or simply those who desire to see Exaron free to make its own choices and decisions again.
They are backed up by what could barely be qualified as a fleet, including an old captured CR-25 carrier several freighters with weapons tacked on as an afterthought and a motley group of fighters.
Their actions over the last couple of years have mainly been distraction and delay tactics against the Empire. With the occasional robbery in order to fund themselves, and feed the forgotten starving masses on Exaron who have had their homes stolen from them to expand the Empires mining operations.
Surprisingly charming, or perhaps not considering her career as a politician. She was given command of Exaron as a 'gift' by members of the Republic, now Imperial, Intelligence for her assistance during the Liberation of Exaron from the Separatist rebels. With ties to the Mining Guild and within various politicians on Coruscant she has largely maintained her worlds autonomy. Trying to err-more on the side of 'peaceful co-operation' on her world as much as possible, largely due to her inability to bring down overwhelming force and partially due to a deep rooted desire to do what is best for her peple and her planet.
Commander Brute was one of Perditas liasons within the Republic Empire during the Liberation of Exaron. He was doomed for forced retirement like the rest of his brothers after the revelation of the Stormtrooper program, however Perdita remembered her allie and pulled some strings having him assigned to Exaron as the local Garrison Commander. Calm and patient, however he hits hard when it comes time for the fight. Unlike Perdita he has no qualms with the hard parts of the job, when it comes time to remove civillians in order to get resources for the Empire he doesn't lose a nights sleep.
He's a soldier, this is what he was made for.
A keen tactical mind, Vath Ruun was the leader of a Special Operations squad. Executed several missions throughout the Clone Wars, and before. As the Governors ship fell and the ordered retreat came through Vath ordered his team to go to ground. Spending the first year trying to find them, rebuild his network and his connections throughout the planet. A native to Exaron he point blank refused to let the Empire just take it without a care in the world. Despite the Empires weak presence on Exaron, his capabilities have been even less. Ordering hit and runs, raids, and delaying strikes against the Empire.
He wants to believe that his people can win, and that they can kick these Imperial Bastards off his planet, but that looks less and less likely everyday.

1. We're all here to have fun, please help me help you to do that. 2. Any PvP engagements will be discussed beforehand, with an agreement before you even get into that situation. 3. With the design of the roleplay, you will all be writing in essence against me. I don't want to kill a PC unelss that player wants them to die, however please don't force me to write really convuluted escapes every other post because you choose to a Solo Manuever. 4. If you're stuck for what to do, ask. It's my job to help you along to continue the story. 5. No Metagaming/Powergaming. 6. This Roleplay is going to contain some slightly more mature themes, blood, gore and swearing is allowed however should be kept tasteful (no doing it just for the sake of doing it). Anything in regards to what you are doing to that alien hooker, we don't need to know. 7. In your character history mention some form of dealing with a Drunk Dug with a Gambling Problem. 8. Standing at 5’6”, standard for many Bakurans, Haybell has a thin, lithe frame fit for a biker trooper. His curling black hair is kept at regulation length, a little crown about his head. The man lacks the normal scars developed by most Stormtroopers and such, though his knuckles and forearms are gnarled by working on speeder bikes and other such tasks.

Galactic Empire - Imperial Stormtrooper Corps Former Bakura Planetary Defense Forces
Like most other Scout Troopers, Haybell is exceptionally proficient with his rifle. Between single shots to short bursts, he can be well assured to hit the target at distances up to several kilometers with the highest power settings.
Public Relations
People are people, nothing more, nothing less, and Haybell tries to keep in mind and to keep in the mind of his subordinates the idea that a population is easier to govern when it wants to be governed, when it benefits from being governed. As such, he has a grand preference towards cooperation with local communities, towards actual effective policing of those communities through aggressively pursuing outside criminal elements. Minor crimes are often dismissed for Haybell, preferring instead to involve the family or close-in community to dissuade from repeat minor offenses.

Close Quarters Combat
While he’s had the training for it, Haybell has nevertheless found close quarters combat to be perhaps one of the least joyful things to perform. A drunken fool is one thing to deal with, but an opponent with a weapon of their own intending on doing harm is another phrase for a rifle target at close range to Haybell. Nevertheless, he does carry a vibroknife as standard issue.
Droid Relations
As a native of Bakura, Haybell has an intense distrust towards droids of any and all stripes. Whether it be a maintenance droid performing some mundane task, hauler droids moving cargo, or medical droids saving a life, all he sees are tools that can go wrong and precisely how they can go wrong. After all, there’s just code and hardware running for those things and no telling precisely what kind of viruses they might have.

Born on Bakura some sixteen years before the beginning of the Clone Wars, Haybell would see the decline of the Republic through holo-screens, newsfeeds, and other bits of fragmented information. The world lacked much of the integral connections that could be seen through the Core and out to the worlds governed by the Trade Federation, and being so isolated in the western fringes could only boast a tenuous link to the Republic.
When the Clone Wars began, Haybell could only watch from afar. Too young to join the Planetary Defense Forces, too distant to enlist with either, like many Bakurans Haybell felt an initial strong disgust towards the Confederation. Their grand use of droids was a mistake, he felt, a massive mistake that could lead to the worst catastrophes possible: droid revolutions in a mass sense. Haybell had been raised with the stories by his grandparents on the one perpetrated on Bakura after all, and that had been mining droids. The image of a whole droid army performing such was horrifying to the young man. The establishment of a small CIS base on Bakura would only serve to enflame his distaste to them, their flagrant abuse of the planet’s neutrality in the war chafing against his more independent senses. Along all the way, Haybell would hear about the war crimes perpetrated by the Confederation, the gassings, the bombings. His desire to join the Republic’s efforts to remove the Confederation could only grow, all without the desire to continue the Republic’s position as the dominant galactic power.
He would, amid the Clone Wars, enlist with the PDF as a combat engineer, intending on at the very least serving his people in case the CIS attacks, with the rest of that contract being fairly mundane. There would be little change from one to the other, with the same news being given, the same stories being told, though the brutality of the Confederation was highlighted throughout the Outer Rim Sieges. These things only helped to make Haybell even more interested in joining with the Republic, though the war would end far before that. The transition from the Republic to the Galactic Empire would be less than interesting to the young man, seeing the rise of the CIS and, before it, the Trade Federation a signal to the ineffective methods of those before. The end of the Western Reaches Operation, the sweeping-away of the last vestiges of the CIS in the region, and the end of Haybell’s contract with the PDF would allow him to travel off and away, off to the Imperial Academy on Eriadu.
Recruit Haybell found himself much acclamated to the speeder bike, taking to it rapidly compared to the other recruits during assessment trainings and would be assigned to the Scout Trooper program there. Unlike many of the Imperial Stormtrooper Corps, he would be encouraged with the fierce brand of independent thought, aggression, and intelligent assessment. Marksmanship also came well to the young man, something born of long hours on the range with the PDF. The young man struggled with the precise use or trust of the recon droids, however, often not employing them in trainings with a reliance on his own observations. While such was detrimental to his overall scores, it would not prevent Haybell from graduating Eriadu as a trooper with the 66th Battalion.
His time there would be fairly mundane as far as planetary assaults, engagements, and the puttings-down of rebellions went. They would act almost as frontier police, watching over much of the less populated worlds for signs of smugglers, pirates, and rebellious activity born over from the end of the CIS. Just five years in and Haybell, then a Corporal, would be assigned to the garrison at Exaron. Since then, he has taken part in the standard patrols and field exercises, working to try and gain some semblance of relations with the local population. Such would be highlighted with one incident where a dug named Risu, full of Corellian whiskey, tried to continue his run of pazaak after losing a house record ninety-four times in a row. Not only did Haybell succeed in convincing the dug to not struggle, but he also convinced the dug to get into the speeder to processing. That earned him a few free drinks at the bar, at least. His promotion to Sergeant would come by virtue of time in service instead of anything especially notable, notable being only seen in the eyes of Imperial log keeping, though throughout Haybell’s time on Exaron he has accumulated a good reputation for preferring soft controls over the harsher influences.

Skills:
Explosive Ordanance Expert: While more an expert in the professional and academic sense, Ralto Zarrin was a contracted and studied engineer who specialized in explosive ordinance. He interned at Merr-Sonn Munitions for a time, before being recruited to work at the Kuat Drive Yards. While he mostly served as another cog in the machine, he had hands on design experience when it came to implementing weapon systems on everything from Walkers to Destroyers.
Another Face in the Crowd: Ralto Zarrin's status as a human, especially one who only briefly worked in the Imperial machine and lived in the outer rim for well over a decade, has made him pre-disposed to blending into a crowd. He is not a fast-talker, but he does know how to keep his head down and avoid confrontation when possible.
Keen Eye and a Strong Arm: A helpful skill Ralto picked up when he worked at the Drive Yards was being able to judge distance and size by sight to a reasonable degree of accuracy. In more recent years, his paranoia has only solidified his careful attention to detail. Combined with his recent training in lobbing ordinance, Ralto has a high aptitude as a grenadier and lookout.
Weaknesses: Master of One: Ralto Zarrin has a highly specialized skillset, and his Engineering knowledge outside of that is minimal. He knows his way around tools more than perhaps the common civilian, but has hardly any working or academic knowledge on repairing or slicing droids or doors or dealing with anything more software oriented.
I ain't no soldier: Ralto Zarrin can count on one hand the number of times he has actually had to fire a Blaster at a living target. He is not particularly athletic, nor an exceptional marksman. At best, he has a good throwing arm.
Union Smoke Break: Ralto has a mild addiction to Carababba Tabac, and often develops a slight tremor in his hands if he goes too long without a smoke.
History:
Ralto Zarrin was, once, the son of a moderately wealthy family of aristocratic engineers on Kuat. He was afforded a good education and enriching internships. With the separatist threat being a looming threat since his teens, Ralto developed a fascination with the mechanics of weaponry. He interned at Merr-Sonn Munitions after school, right around the explosive start to the Clone Wars. He was one of many names associated with the development and implementation of ordinance developed by Merr-Sonn.
Of course, as the Clone Wars kicked into full swing, Ralto returned home to take a job with Rothana Heavy Engineering. Their development of the Acclamator Star Destroyer was already underway, but Ralto was a small part of the design team for the second wave updates. His specialization was in heavy and explosive ordanance. He helped design, update, integrate, and inspect the installation of missile launchers and turbolasers.
When the war was over, Ralto continued working with Rothana as they transitioned to developing new models for the Empire. But as meetings grew more tense, he had been transitioned onto a team in conjungtion with Imperial Engineers, and more and more coworkers disappeared to work on secret projects or for being dissidents, Ralto knew he needed an out. So, he called in a substantial favor: a local Dug freighter captain who owed him a substantial sum.
Ralto's escape was less than graceful. Two grevious wounds on his back and a missing eye were a small price to pay for freedom. He was added to a growing list of defectors, and managed to secure a trip to Exaron. Once on the backwater, Ralto kept mostly to himself. He picked up work as a small-time mechanic, doing odd jobs to make ends meet.
Ralto's recent involvement with the Rebels has been as a result of his clear knowledge of explosives, and a need for someone to clear, catalogue, and handle a pilfered Imperial explosive order. Getting older and with no love for the Empire, Ralto has signed on to serve as a demolitions expert and saboteur.

There aren't many places she can't get into with a little planning and prep work. Manipulator - As part of infiltration, Silvi is also really, really good at getting people to lend her a hand or turn a blind eye; as good as it gets without resorting to Jedi Mind Tricks. Knife in the darkness - While not a frontline soldier, Silvi has become quite good over the years at making people stop breathing. When she closes in on an unsuspecting target, she kills quickly, quietly, efficiently, and with no trace of mercy. Weaknesses: Silvi is a fairly heavy user of mood altering substances, and can get gloomy and depressive when she has to go without them. History: Silvi Toth was a civilian "contractor" for the armed forces of the Kingdom of the Sephi, serving at the pleasure of His Majesty King Alaric - in return for a blanket pardon for certain offences against the throne that have since been expunged from the records. By all (admittedly spotty) accounts she proved a highly useful asset, especially once the Sephi threw in their lot with the Confederacy of Independent Systems. The Republic despatched a clone army against the Sephi under Jedi Master Yoda. Peace talks broke down and King Alaric was murdered by Yoda, a treacherous act that threw the Kingdom into confusion and allowed the Republic to grind the Kingdom's forces under the heels of its clone troopers. When the Republic threw off its mask and became the Empire, the Sephi were neither surprised nor impressed. The remnants of their forces went to ground and began to form resistance cells against the Empire; at the time of the incident, Toth had been attached to a unit working beside a Separatist Special Forces regiment called the Invisible Hand. With nowhere else to be and no-one to answer to in the wake of King Alaric's murder, Toth began to work with and for the Separatists. Colonel Ruun was well aware of her particular set of skills, and has ensured that she has stayed as well rewarded and supplied as he can afford. This has proven to be a sound investment over the years.
Once a few sheets are in and it's time for me to contemplate acceptance I'll consider making a deadline for sheets/the start of the IC. Because I recognise the time of year and some of you have commitments (other than working) it will probably be after New Years.
