Sorry guys. Have been in bed with a cold since saturday. I'll post one I feel better.
I'd offer some leftover stew, but our fridge died and you probably wouldn't want food-poisoning on top of a cold.
One may help clear out the other, though. Either the runny nose will purge the smell of vomit, or the violent expulsion of your bowels will help clear out your bloodstream.
In either case, pickle-juice is amazing with both. [alternately, large pinch of salt, a small picnch of turmeric (or curry-powder) enough vinegar to dissolve it fully and turn the turmeric green, and then water until the opacity and salinity matches pickle-brine. Leave enough room in the jar to fine-tune/dilute the solution since getting it right on the first try is hard. It helps if you have a jar of pickles handy for referance.]
A rough guesstimate is to aim for like a 1% acetic acid content, but some go up to 2%. (It's a muscle-relaxant and an antiseptic, so less vomit and more a speed-run snowplowing its way through the digestive tract), followed by inhaling a fairly large dose of water or other non-salty beverage (like a half-liter or liter).
The slug of heavy saltwater will also help break-up phlem. The rest of the brine would disinfect, and the water chasing after it will help cleanse everything else away.
