- Shining Boon of the Winter Faeries: Sir Arcticus can conjure and control the forces of ice, snow, and cold. His rather powerful cryogenic abilities enable him to both produce wide-scale effects and freeze specific things. There are probably all sorts of applications, but he generally seems to keep the uses of his ability strictly on-theme with his flamboyant knightly aesthetic. He always goes into battle equipped with armour made of ice, and he can summon various weapons in a flash. Moreover, he is capable of creating ice with extreme hardness and density superior to steel.
- Prodigious Might of the Frozen Champion: Sir Arcticus' strength and speed rise massively when it comes to holding or moving cold/frozen objects. Such items are practically weightless to him, regardless of size. Thus, when clad in a suit of icy armour and wielding a frozen weapon, he moves with blinding speed and strikes with overwhelming force.
- Knight's Unbroken Constitution: Sir Arcticus possesses an extremely sturdy body, even beneath his armour. Of course, he is obviously impervious to extreme cold, but he also possesses heightened vitality and resilience to injury and other effects that would impact his health. His strength and agility are also improved somewhat beyond the human peak.

Weaknesses:
- Dreadful Dragonfire: Do you even need to ask? Extreme heat, such as from a flame, can cause Sir Arcticus' icy constructs to melt. He is capable of extreme cold, so he can prevent his equipment from becoming liquid if he continuously focuses his power into it, but the durability of his ice will be reduced. Naturally, the hotter it is, the more severe the effect on his ice will be.
- As Fleeting as a Maiden's Kiss: Life is a temporary thing. It is said that the adventures of this snowy cavalier will one day come to an end without the slightest warning. As quickly as he once appeared, so shall he be carried away on the Northern wind. What does this mean, exactly? No one knows, but Sir Arcticus encourages everyone to make the most of each day they are blessed with.

Personality:
Fiery, boisterous sort of hero. A self-described "Man Out of Time", Sir Arcticus speaks in the archaic manner of a fantasy knight. Indeed, he seems not to recognize many pieces of modern technology, such as "horseless carriages" and so forth. Is he joking? Or doing some sort of bizarre roleplay? Or is he simply insane? In any case, he's a very chivalrous sort who always prioritizes protecting women and children. His exact relationship with the law and with fellow heroes is sometimes shaky, but he reliably stands in opposition to gutless knaves (violent criminals) and wicked tyrants (supervillains). He's an extremely flashy guy, although he rarely accepts interviews and guards his identity quite closely.

Background:
By chance, a fierce storm fell upon Skyline City last year. Many buildings were damaged, homes suffered massive floods, and nearly the whole city lost power. Worse yet, this chaos initiated a spree of lootings and attacks by superhumans throughout the city.

In the midst of all this, a man in frost-covered armour appeared. He worked tirelessly through the day and night, ferrying many families to safety on icy rafts, defending homes from the rampaging villains, and even preventing a mass escape from the city's largest superhuman prison. Tales of the frozen knight quickly spread among rescued citizens. Many heroes took part in the rescue operations, but when the wind had settled down by the next sunrise, Sir Arcticus was the name on everyone's lips.

In the following months, Sir Arcticus made frequent appearances in Skyline and beyond, quickly becoming known for his cheery nature, his gentle approach to conflict, and his fierce spirit. Despite all this, he has no association or registration with any group, and his identity remains completely unknown.

Of course, the knight always sports his armour. That aside, he summons all sorts of icy weapons. With ice, anything is possible! Except first-aid. Sir Arcticus has an actual first-aid kit packed away beneath his armour and it is definitely not made of ice. He has also been recorded calling 9-1-1 before, so he definitely has a cell phone of some sort, but he insists he doesn't understand how those arcane devices work.

Public Perception:
A mysterious and brave hero! Popular with schoolchildren. Some die-hard superhero fans find his name and manner of speaking a bit too goofy, though. Sir Arcticus is instantly recognizable when he appears on the scene, and often inspires a palpable sense of courage and relief among civilians whenever he galavants his way into a dangerous situation.

Combat Style:
Honourable! If someone is in danger, Sir Arcticus will rush in without hesitation to rescue them. Outside of those situations, though, he always appears in a flashy manner, openly declaring himself to the enemy and commanding them to surrender themselves. He'll never harm a villain until he's given them that opportunity. When it comes to actual combat, Sir Arcticus fights boldly and with great finesse. He generally engages at close range, but his access to various ice-based tools make him terribly unpredictable. His commitment to fighting honourably may sometimes hamper his options, but as a result he has come to be incredibly experienced and skilled in direct battle against other superhumans.

Powers/Abilities:
Gravity Manipulation: Dante has the ability to alter gravitational fields around his body. He can increase the density of his punches for devastating impact, reduce gravity around his feet to leap great distances, or anchor himself to resist knockback and force. His control is primarily physical and instinctive, amplifying his MMA abilities rather than being flashy or overtly supernatural. His power is greatly affected by his emotion, and in times of great emotional duress he has been able to alter gravity to lift things at a distance or even float.
Enhanced Strength and Durability: His gravity manipulation grants him superhuman strength by increasing the mass behind his strikes. He can also reinforce his body against impact, making him extremely hard to injure when focused.

Jackson was bitter, angry, and abusive. More focused on turning Dante into the fighter he never was than raising him as a son. His idea of parenting was drilling lessons through pain, teaching Dante that strength was the only way to survive. Love was absent in their household.

By sixteen, Dante was already a fixture in underground fight pits his strength and durability already exceeding normal human limits. Though he didn't yet understand the truth of his gravity warping abilities. They would surge in moments of anger or desperation, his strikes hitting harder, his body enduring punishment no normal fighter could withstand. He could even swear it felt like he was floating when he was in real trouble. Jackson saw it as an edge, exploiting his son's gifts for profit and pushing him to fight harder, longer, and more ruthlessly.

It ended the night Dante went too far. A brutal, unsanctioned match left his opponent permanently injured. Arrested for assault, Dante was hauled away in cuffs. His father didn't even bother to say goodbye. That was the last time Dante ever saw him.

That's when Marcus Kane found him.

When Marcus heard about a teenage fighter with unnatural strength making waves in an underground fight ring, he wasn't surprised to learn the kid had ended up in juvie. The two combatants seemed oblivious to the destruction, their battle causing walls to crumble and sending civilians fleeing for their lives.

Marcus commanded the young man to get the civllians out. Dante didn’t argue. He focused on pulling the last group of people to safety as his mentor struggled with the last of his power against the weight of the building.

But the building's structure was too far gone. The villain's final attack rattled the foundation, and Marcus' grip faltered. He shouted for Dante to get out, his last act of kindness for the boy.

Dante turned back just in time to see Marcus buried under the collapsing debris.

When the dust settled, Dante clawed through the rubble with a desperation he'd never felt before. His powers surged, bending gravity to his will as rubble flew through the air weightless, but it was too late. He found Marcus pinned beneath the wreckage, dead.

Dante emerged from the wreckage clutching Marcus' red headband, his face streaked with blood, tears, and ash. His grief ignited his powers in a way they never had before, and in that moment of raw, uncontrollable emotion, crimson marks seared down his face an imprint of the energy unleashed within him. Though they fade when dormant, the marks resurface every time he uses his abilities, a reminder of that day. Dante never took the name Halcyon II publicly after that day. He didn't care for titles or heroics. But each time his powers flare, each time the invisible weight crushes down on him and those red streaks blaze to life, he remembers the man who showed him what strength truly means.

It's been years since that day and he has become something of a spectre. He spends a lot of his time in bars or on the road, only so often using his powers to help someone. But recently, with the latest influx of villains something has been stirring in him, and it'll only take the smallest flick of a match to set the fire inside him off once more.

He returns to Nova City for the first time since Marcus' death a different person. Older, more calloused, more powerful.

Appearance:

Background: Vox was a young boy when his mind began enhancing itself through his power, he developed breakthrough after breakthrough, creating the company Vox Incorporated at the age of 14, turning himself into the youngest man to ever found a company, and in short time within founding the company and bringing revolutionary tech to the world he became a billionaire, though he had to develop the tech he needed to survive quickly as his brain always required almost pure oxygen to survive in the world, knowing this he set out to build a suit so adaptive to any situation that nothing could break through him twice, one hit and he would adapt to the point of immunity to the attack but has been unable to achieve this goal yet. Vox continues inventing in free time and seeks to be a beacon of prosperity in the Ironclad city he calls home, he brings workers from all over Ironclad back to their roots of factories and industry so they have a sense of familiarity while his labs on the upper floors of his large buildings have the eyes of the Nova City people to work in as better accomodations, Vox has been working this Ceo job for 15 years now and knows just how to treat his workers so that they bring him their best always, but he honestly doesn't know them from his non workers so he treats all with his cold and calloused stare and darker grim choice of talking while they talk to him but the benefits he offers to workers cover everything, including for many substantially higher positions home and transport to work accommodated by the company for them, free cars and housing at higher positions grant an incentive to work for these positions and show all you are for these hard workers in the Ironclad and he seeks to buy the old Steelworks District and rework it into a sprawling workers haven again while letting his criminal guards get extra pay and have more of them for his workers, he sees corruption as a tool and crime as easy to buy and tends to use that to his advantage. He doesn't care for criminals but will hire them to do what needs to be done, those who won't be hired, he deals with them as he sees fit.
