Not as rough as yours will be!

…Is what she wanted to answer and then unload a clip into him, but the gunshots would’ve been heard by everyone in the buildings around them and then some. She normally wouldn’t care about such minor details but this time she was trying not to draw attention to herself. There was just something about a botched hostage exchange that made revealing herself as one of the people behind that failure seem like a very unhelpful thing to do.

She stared intensely at the man’s strange mask (or at least she thought it was a mask) before her eyes wandered down his body to the dual katanas resting behind his waist. Her body visibly tensed. She inhaled deeply and then flashed a gentle smile, softening her face.

Don’t worry about me! Rather, I think you should head home! I have an order to go after a criminal that’s skulking in the alleys. I almost had him but he made me chase him all the way over here. I lost him just a few moments ago, and I wouldn’t want anything to happen to anyone on my watch!

She leaned to the side as she said this to look past the man in front of her, emphasizing that she was on the lookout. Her voice was low and held a somewhat pleasant rasp within it, though the tone was impatient and still low on breath. There’s a reason Guanyin has never been suspected before, she thought irritably. I have more years of experience deceiving others than this body’s age! So hurry up and get out of my way!

If Yoshimitsu had eyes, he'd roll them right now. It seemed highly unlikely that any criminal was around here, given that there were cops combing the area just an hour or so ago. Any criminal dumb enough to be operating here would have already been caught, or maybe on the run. She was suspicious, but he didn't really care too much about it. She obviously was also scared of Yoshimitsu and was on the run herself. But he didn't have any evidence that she was a criminal, though packing two giant guns didn't really help her case any. So he decided to play along with her game, see where it takes him. "Oh really? What's he look like? I saw a lot of shady characters around these parts, maybe I passed him by or something." Yoshimitsu reached into his jacket and pulled out his Hellsing, loading a magazine into it. If she was telling the truth, than Yoshimitsu had something to do for now. If she was lying, well, he just hoped she's explain herself before she starts firing. This body only had enough mass to take a few slugs to the chest, and that was assuming if he got himself into a deal gone bad. "I'm something of a hero, you know."
From her hiding place Restu watched the small scene unfold. One girl with a taser and some dude in a motorcycle getup. He wouldn't take it off for some reason, which set off alarms in her head. "That's totally suspicious! Electrocute his ass!" That's what she wanted to say, but if she did that she'd give off her position. After listening in, seemed like the girl was looking for something. Restu wondered if it had anything to do with the kidnapping or the robbery, but she'd need to snoop a bit longer. She stayed hidden, but continued to keep an ear open and an eye watching.

Void was almost ready to start falling asleep, when he suddenly saw a someone coming down the building wall. Void’s eyebrows skewed in confusion, as he’d never quite seen someone do that before. Soon his mind began to process thoughts, that were coming back to what was said in the sushi restaurant. His eyes widened as he realized that they must have been what Mr.Dokuro was talking about. They were a thief come to steal from some poor, well maybe not poor. But, certainly unfortunate couple living in the tower. He had to stop them, and return whatever it was they stole. Even if he didn't fully grasp what the hell was going on, it was his job to at least try to make things better for people. Heck who knew maybe the people would be so happy they’d be his friends. That thought seemed to tickle Void pink as he stood up, letting his armor fully wrap around him. His red bug eyes glowing with what seemed like anticipation.

He created a portal above her, and jumped down on top of her grabbing them, and shot a grappling hook into the nearby alley. Before swinging them into a wall, he braced his legs against the wall, and pinned them with a hand pressing their chest to the wall. He then saw their face a bit better, and saw they were a she, and they were rather good looking.
“So hot stuff, steal from people often,” he asked with a soft chuckle.
Then he realized something was off with where he was grabbing, and let go blushing in embarrassment. Letting her drop about two feet above the ground. He kicked off the wall landing beside her.
“My suggestion take back what you stole before this gets ugly,” he said waving a carefree hand to her as he spun to get into a combat stance. "Also before I forget, sorry about the chest thing," He said in embarrassment.

With the item tucked safely away, Nightshade was climbing down the building without any other worries. Heights were not something she was ever afraid of, and using the many windows and ledges on the building, she was at a good pace and halfway down the complex. Thus, she was completely taken by surprise when she felt herself being grabbed by something, or someone. She barely had any time to register what was happening as she was zipped into an alleyway and pressed up against the wall, with something painfully pressing against her chest.

Nightshade blinked in confusion at the...what even was this thing? A robot? An alien? She didn't have any time to ponder on that as it spoke, revealing that it was a male alien-robot-thing. He suddenly let her go and she toppled to the ground in a rather ungraceful heap, even more bewildered with her situation. She hastily got to her feet and whipped out her twin blades, stepping back from the alien, ready to defend herself or attack.

"Also before I forget, sorry about the chest thing." She raised an eyebrow at that. Seriously? Who the hell grabs them from midair, confronts them in an alley and then apologizes? She wouldn't have taken him seriously if he wasn't wearing all that armor.

"And why should I listen to you?" Nightshade asks, her eyes darting around for an exit out of the alley. "Do you have any idea what you're interfering?" she adds, her blade dangerously glinting in the dim light.

"No I'm afraid the helmet will have to stay, I assure you I have" The helmeted figure looked around the alley, beginning to sway and move himself idly, he seemed a bit restless. Emily's expression fell soured to an incredulous glare as he continued, "Though if you let me know what it is you're looking for I'd be more than happy to help, though I feel I should let you know there were some police hanging around here earlier, could be something dangerous." She grinned at the last bit.

Emily dug her right hand into her back pocket, her left still clutching the partially concealed taser. After a small struggle, her hand came back with her wallet in tow. "Oh I'm sure it's dangerous, but I can handle it." she struggled through her wallet single-handedly. Her expression turned to smug elation as she found her prize. "However, I'm really gonna need you to take off that helmet now, sir." She presented the contents of the wallet to him, a shiny, fairly new police badge, Government Hero division. "And I'll probably an ID."

“Seriously, you didn’t feel me coping a feel? Anyways that’s besides the point, I’m stopping you because, you’re working for the Dorkuro clan. I know because they said they were getting some payout from some couple that lives here. Only makes sense that they were talking about you. Though before you go around decapitating the poor sods with those nice pointy blades of yours. They didn’t really know I was listening in, nor did I give it much thought till I saw you….. And, I’m talking your ear off aren’t I? Heh sorry, I get rather chatty when excited about meeting someone new. Especially one as pretty as you are,” Void said soon bursting into an excited chuckle.

As he chattered away Void was opening two portals slowly at either end of the alley, so as to somewhat trap the woman. He then pulled out a combat knife as he liked having a challenge, that and he was running low on bullets. Not to mention that the bullets would fly through the now open portals, and strike him as well. Or worse yet accidentally kill the woman, something by no means did he want.

“I won’t give you another chance, return whatever you stole. Or I will be forced to take you into custody,” Void said his voice growing incredibly serious and authoritative.
As the time for playing around was starting to draw to a close, he began to slowly circle the woman.

A grin spread across Erebus' hidden face as the woman showed off her badge. He was now fully convinced that his initials suspicions had been correct.

"Oh I thought I recognized you, you're one of those new superheroes aren't you" Erebus exclaimed feigning star struck excitement "I have to tell you I feel so much safer already knowing that you're around. Now uh, about the helmet" Erebus tapped two fingers against the side of his head for emphasis "I must admit I really would rather leave it on you see I was in an accident some while ago and"

Erebus cut off his sentence abruptly, trying and failing to suppress a laugh.

"Sorry about that" he said, his tone at once dropping any of the excitement that it had previously held as he stood straight and struck a more confident pose, taking a step closer to the woman "but I never was a very good liar, The helmet is staying on, it would give away the game if I took it off now"

Jeez, he can talk a lot, thought Nightshade, growing more and more confused with his words. And what was with him calling her pretty? Was he trying to butter her up? She wouldn't hesitate to kill him if he got in her way, no matter how much he tried. And to accuse her of working for the Dorkuro clan? She scoffed at that. "Members of the Dorkuro clan are scum. I don't work with back-stabbing traitors," she muttered, warily glancing at the portals that had suddenly materialized at the ends of the alleyway. They looked small enough to climb over to escape, but for that, she'd have to buy herself some time. The alien didn't seem like he would let her go so easily.

"Maybe you should do your research before you accuse me of such nonsense," she said, mirroring him as he circled her, trying to determine his movements.

“I won’t give you another chance, return whatever you stole. Or I will be forced to take you into custody,” he told her, his voice a bit more serious than when he was chattering away. She chuckled at that. "Oh? I'd like to see you try," she challenged.

She had a feeling he would attack her soon and she prepared herself, one blade pointing in his direction and the other pointed towards her own arm. She smirked behind her mask. He wouldn't know what hit him.

"Oh I thought I recognized you, you're one of those new superheroes aren't you" 'Oh great, so THAT'S what I'm becoming known for.' Emily thought to herself while grimacing, the man's clearly feigned enthusiasm mixing with the vocal distortion in a creepy cocktail. "I have to tell you I feel so much safer already knowing that you're around. Now uh, about the helmet," Finally, all small talk was rubbing Emily the wrong way. She just wanted to know if this guy wanted to do this the easy way or- "I must admit I really would rather leave it on you see I was in an accident some while ago and-" the hard way.

The man fell into hysterics. 'Great,' Emily thought, 'I'm dealing with a loon.'

"Sorry about that, but I never was a very good liar. The helmet is staying on, it would give away the game if I took it off now." He stepped toward her as his postured straightened. The masked man struck out intimidatingly against the backdrop of the abandoned alley.

Emily stood tall as well, figuring she would be smart to embrace her reputation as a hero. "So you know of me then? Guess that makes sense, my dazzling light reaches to all corners of this city. I am Lumineer, the Performing Star," A dazzling light was cast from behind, illuminating her form. "and by the power this city has trusted in me I demand you stand down and remove that helmet at once." She struck a heroic pose, finger extended toward the man as her left hand came out from concealment to show the baseball bat she brandished. It gave a mighty TING as it came into contact with the hard pavement. "Sorry Buck-O, but this "game" of yours just got cancelled."

Or at least, that's what it looked like to any observers. In reality Emily had gone to work crafting her illusions the second the man approached her. When he took his step forward she fell a step back, quickly stuffing away her wallet and taking a defensive position, both hands on her taser now clearly out in the open. She left an image of her body where she was while she manipulated the light to make herself functionally invisible. As she spoke, she threw her voice, causing it to come out of the illusion she left behind, as as she moved she silenced every sound that her physical form made. 'I need to keep him busy,' Emily thought to herself as she snuck around her foe. 'a monologue should do the trick.' Emily was never much of a hero, but she was a performer, she knew how to really ham it up, and she knew how to sell it. "Welcome to Lumineer's Theatre." She whispered silently.

Guanyin’s “innocent girl” smile twitched and contorted into a forced grin with furrowed brows when the man spoke, and it fell apart completely when he pulled out his large hand cannon. The final straw came when he mentioned the word “hero.” Guanyin cocked her head, raised the submachine gun in her right hand until its barrel was lined up with the man, and sported a toothy slasher smile that looked far too comfortable on her face.

Maybe you did see him sometime. See, this bad person is a suspicious man skulking around in alleys, wearing all black with a scary face, and armed with two long blades…” she gestured with her other arm to his handgun, “…and a big gun. This criminal has a tendency to corner lovely maidens such as I and pull it out as if he can’t help himself! And what’s a girl to do…

Her other mini-Uzi slowly rose until it was aligned with his head…

...but defend herself?” she sang.

And then the gun continued rising, higher and higher, until the barrel tapped the side of her head. She licked her lips as her Cheshire smile grew. Her fingers were twitchy on the triggers, ready to squeeze if he made any sudden movements or tried defending himself / attacking her. Her breathing was a lot more stable since she was forced to stop, and while her posture was a little flamboyant, the firearms aimed at both her and her target, her aim and calmness indicated that she was not new to using such weaponry. Or, at the very least, she was well experienced mentally.

Void sighed as he listened to the woman talk, and noticed her blades positioning. Why would a warrior pose a blade against their arm like that? It’d be easy to harm themselves that way, it made little to no sense. Though he shook his head, it might have just been a fighting style he hadn’t seen before. Though it did make him rather wary all the same, his pacing altered to go the other way. Though her words were bothering him, “Maybe you should do your research before you accuse me of such nonsense.”

“Perhaps, I have been too quick at jumping to a conclusion. But, why were you scaling down that building, if not to escape pursuit? Not to mention the fact you sorta insta pulled out your pointy little friends there. So even if I don’t have all the information, you’re just guilty enough looking that I’m right, and you are in fact a criminal,” Void said as he kept scanning Nightshade over chuckling softly.

He then came in at her right kicking at her legs, and attempted to flip her over his shoulder. All in an attempt to pin her to the ground, and get her into some zipties. Before this battle escalated to much.

The body was splattered along the floor, the crushed and burnt cement stained with blood. A disgusting sight to many, but an interesting one to Shinobi. Reaching down into the massive crater, he picked up the camera and stood it about where it looked to be at the time of the news hijacking. The body was gone, only guts and a head. The vest of explosives managed to destroy most of the terrorist, sadly. Placing the head of the terrorist in reference to the camera, a clear gunshot wound was recognisable from the gaping hole in their head. Blood had seeped down onto their face, but minimal damage had been done to the face. It seemed the legs, nowhere to be seen, took the brunt of the explosion. While the mayor was still securely tied to a plank of wood, Shinobi noticed something. The camera had also been hit by the bullet. It was interesting, and just as he wanted. Now if the man could get the camera and the terrorist's body into the right position, he could pin point the position of the sniper. With the bullet coming from behind the head, he lined both of them up perfectly. The invisible line appeared on his HUD, signalling that the shooter was in a skyscraper not too far away from here, on the top floor.
Checking the time, it had possibly been 10 full minutes after shooting. That was the Police Department building. Checking his files, he checked through every piece of data in seconds looking at what was in the final floor of the New Tokyo Police HQ. Shinobi was rather surprised. Scavenging the area looking for a bullet, he found a KH 217 rifle slug inside the camera, which must have come from a rifle that was illegal in 15 countries. Searching through a list of possible gun dealers, there was only one who sold any kind of KH 217 rifles.

The files continued streaming in from the internet, and this gun dealer wasn't a mere black market tradesman, but a fire-arm representative from Italy. He had been hired by the New Tokyo government to manage Police weaponry.

"Hmm. Interesting."

Shinobi mumbled as he searched through the Internet. Much more information had popped up, but it looked like there was little to none information he could go on. Except if he could hack into the Police Department's computers, and find any digital recording of gun swaps. Which is exactly what he did. Of course, his decryption codes were not amazing, so he would have to instead get into the computer hardware itself to be able to track the culprit. Many armed and experienced police officers were inside the department at the time, though. How would he be able to get their attention? Shinobi smiled as he figured out how he could do so.

The camera was still mostly functional, or at least the wreckage could be hacked. Looking for the right input code, he managed to link his own retinal scanners with the recording device of the camera. A radiowave would be picked up by the local TV array, but it wouldn't override it. However, by simply transmitting the data, multiple red alarms went off in the TV station as executives went crazy over why there was such a strange feed coming it.

"Incoming, incoming. This is Guanyin, and I applaud you for your efforts in trying to save the Mayor. We are sadly not going to cease in our efforts on destroying this wretched city and its people. Thank you."

It was a terribly-thought up story, with little-to-no evidence to back it up. But like anything in this world, it was taken too seriously and policemen started pouring out into the streets, looking for where the transmission came from. Before it could be traced, Shinobi leaped onto the Police Department roof quickly, while everyone was focusing on the Mahogany tower. Searching the floor, it seemed to have three footprints which entered downstairs. However, it was hard to determine what exact print they were, and there were multiple ones, too.

There was a blip on the radar. The suit had picked up traces of Nicotine in the area, the mechanic was implemented by the manufacturers to make sure the pilot hadn't smoked recently, in case they suffocated. The shooter, or one of their accomplices smoked. Recently. Smashing through the door, no alarms went off as the entire area was in lockdown. It was fortunate though, to be able to slip in so quietly. His super light suit made his footsteps quiet, and since everyone was either sitting in their rooms sorting through files or being sent with weapons to deal with this "terrorist," Shinobi had hit the goldmine. But he would have little to no time to look at the files of all the police. Looking through files, it seemed multiple people in the station smoked.

Deploying multiple drones to covertly search the area, they spun and sputtered as their small rotors took the little robots all around the vacated area of the Police Department. Shinobi just managed to hack into the Police Department files, but the CCTV had been wiped. Looking at registry deals, there were two possible culprits who had used the KH 217 rifle. A man named Wy Jones, and the Head of the Police. Both of them smoked.

Shinobi laughed.

Wy Jones had a history of drug deals, violent assault and other information that pointed any kind of assassination straight towards him. He has had 12 different children with 10 different women, and has on multiple occasions gambled, destroyed public property and abused women. Then it clicked. HE was the most likely person to assassinate the terrorist and kill the Mayor. Shinobi murmured,

"But why . . . ?"

He took a second to realise that all of his drones had gone offline. They must have been destroyed by police as they came to their senses.

"Because Wy Jones doesn't exist."

At that moment he took out the chip, inserted back into his suit, and set his drones to self-destruct mode. As they exploded, he jumped out of the window of the building activating his grappling hook and swinging from the crane back onto another skyscraper. It seemed he had a new person to kill, a corrupted Police Commander. Oh, how he had hoped it would be somebody as big as them. Now the man could truly start an uprising, as the people will not trust any government official ever again. How they had fought they had outwitted everyone, leaving little to no trace, with policemen quickly examining the crater five minutes after Shinobi was there. Clearing the evidence. They even came up with Wy Jones to keep any suspicious person at bay.

Now the Head of Police had to pay.

"Today's going to busy isn't it?" No responds, aside from the explosions that echoed in her office.Shinobi's little stunt didn't go unnoticed; quite the opposite in fact. They've been tracking his movements since he decided to go vaulting through the air like no one cared. They been watching him since he decided to go to the scene of today's explosion and mess with the crime scene. They've also tracked him all the way to when he decided to break into the police department, hack into their "Files", and causing general destruction. They even picked up his little comments and were still tracking him. And they continued to let him believe that he just committed the prefect crime; wouldn't be the first time that they've let such things go. And he wasn't the first one to suspect that the police, the chief of police even, was involved in some sort of criminal conspiracy. Better heroes than him have tried. No, in the end he was just another "Criminal" that needed to be out down for the safety of the city. Because even if he had heroic intentions, not only did he temper with a crime scene, he also illegally broke into and burglarize a government building, and inadvertently killed at least three officers, and injured countless more. Corrupted they may be, incompetent they were not. By the time Shinobi would have reached his destination, his face (Or rather, the biosuit he was wearing during his time in the police station) was plastered on every digital police board, his alias and appearance being categorized as "Armed and Dangerous Terrorist; spotted at the scene of today's terrorist attack". If he was a noble sort, he might come out and try to clear his name. But more than likely he was just a killer using a hero costume; if anything, either he'd ignore it or try to counter attack with his own propaganda. Regardless of what he does, the NTC Police would have ways to counter and ways to track him down. He also obviously was not part of their "System", so he was a shoot-on sight target.

"That's the problem with these capers. Give them an inch and they'll go a mile." Still, Shinobi was just one problem on her plate. There was still countless more that were more of a threat on a large scale; those Guanyin folks. It was almost racists how they an Arabian for their video, but she supposed that it was meant to cause more of a scare rather than symbolize anything. And then there was this Omega person. His name was mentioned a few times in different cases, but nothing about each of them related to each other aside that maybe this Omega fellow is suppose to be a criminal mastermind playing all the cards. If even that. That was what concerned her the most; they had little solid intent on either of Guanyin or Omega. Lucilia would have to rectify this. Licking her lips, she decided that it was time to play "Good Cop". "Sheryl, set up the communication station. It's time for our heroes to play their part in this story."

For those who had the means and knew the comms link would pick up Lucilia's video message. They wouldn't see her, but they would see various images and graphs. Most of the were of Shinobi, but there was also one for "Surgeon" since he was in the area. Lucilia didn't suspect that he had anything to do with today's explosion, but she also knew that he was now involved in the case as well; no playing rogue for any of them. "For those of you picking up this video message, this is the chief of police Lucilia Riovas. I'm currently contacting you because I am entrusting you with a important task. Earlier today the NTC Newstation signal was hijacked by a band of criminals known as the "Gaunyin". They had attempted to ransom the life of the mayor in exchange with an unknown figure called "Omega". Currently there is little information on who this Omega is, however we suspect that this person may be or know who Omega is." Images of Shinobi from all angles was shown on the video, including him flying through the city, investigating the scene of the explosion, breaking into the police station, and cause the explosion while escaping the police station. "Though we do not have any solid data on this person, he is considered highly armed and dangerous, likely super powered. While information from him would be appreciated, he is also to be killed on sight. Do not risk your life trying to gain information from him if at all possible. Additionally, there has been sightings of the man known as "Surgeon" within the same area as the other terrorist. Though he is not suspected to be involved, please bring him to one of the police stations for possible questioning. The good luck to all of you." Lucilia's message ended with a bit of encouragement, even if it was faked. After all, good heroes are hard to come by. Everyone had their own agenda it was difficult trying to justify why she shouldn't have them all locked up or executed. Public appearances and all that.

Surgeon was still wrapped up in his own mysterious and perverted thoughts of SCIENCE as the alarm of his sensors were finally getting through him. It consisted out of low electrical stimulation who could be called "utterly annoying", the signals were affecting several parts of the brain and so caused a hurdy gurdy of all kind of feelings, pains and imaginary sounds but for such a winded and easily shut down mind like that of Surgeon it needed such a brutal way to not loose track of some particular things.
His sensors detected movement on the Mahogani tower and an automatic zoom brought up an armored man in a bio suit.
Surgeon´s sensors quickly made a body scan and altered again.
Surgeon who therefor directed again deeply into his thoughts suddenly yelled.
"WHAT IS IT"
Before his brain was flushed with information he had long forgotten, what he saw back there on the Mahogani Tower was an upgraded version of a bio-suit he once made.
" Sicarius" he mumbled and compared what his sensors showed him to what he originally designed.
The suit was heavily modified and hardly resembled what he once designed, it was still an advanced mobility suit build for speed and agility perfect for parkouring or tracking.
What shocked him the most were the modification certainly made for one thing... killing. Blade like extensions were covering the arms and the designed had completly been made more edgy, this was certainly a suit made for hunting and not tracking.
A sudden pain in the heart let Surgeon nearly stumble as he discovered that again, one of his inventions were abused to be harmfull, to kill, to be a weapon.

But he had no time for this~ With a shook of his head he turned around and turned on his x-ray vision again to chek for a knot point for several CPU transmitters, meaning a spot where the police could handle their drones from. As soon as he found it, he rammed his left arm through the small metall covering the inside and so intigrated himself into the system. Quickly he made a run through all system till he found the one he wanted.
It was the intern surveying system of the police department and Surgeon just searched for the emergency exit cam leading to the roof he was now ontop off.
What he saw then was little to no surprise, shortly before the transmission of Guanyim was even transferred the Chief of the police and one of her henchmen were heading to the roof. And shortly right about the time the transmission ended and even the major blew up, she re-entered to the police department. That all was not proving anything if you wouldn´t mind the huge KH217 rifle the Chief of the police was carrying around.
Surgeon downloaded the files and cleansed his trace from the system as suddenly.... he heard a crash and all sensors were tingling. He switched to the x-ray vision just to see the bio-suited person enter the police department. Surgeon had luck that he was located somewhere else on the roof between wires and layers of steel his hand stuck into a drone control device because he didn´t even heared the suit coming. Who ever upgraded this suit was better than Surgeon thought he would be.

There were two options now, either tailing or~~~
Surgeon followed the traces of the party member and even took care that certain systems wouldn´t go off, he was invisible in both audio, visual while he made his way through the police department an all seeing x-ray visioneer following his tracks. As he then searched throught he police files Surgeon copied every click, every bit of information he gathered was also gathered by Surgeon and the cover up made him nearly chuckle.
As he recognized that the bio suit guy also finished extahating his information Surgeon also did but not without rushing a nice electric pulse through the system and so eventually over driving it before he hauled himself off the building and slide into a near alley, off to where he came from.....

Nightshade sighed. This was wasting her time and she had a delivery to make. It would damage her reputation if word got out that she was late in completing a deal. She was about to tell him quite colorfully to just bug off, but he made a move at just that moment and she had to act soon. She jumped out of his way as he aimed the kick at her legs, maneuvering herself so that she was behind him and positioning her blade at his back, barely grazing him but making sure he could feel it. "You're the one that grabbed me from midair and threatens to arrest me. Forgive me for getting defensive," she muttered.

Nightshade’s dagger skidded off of Void’s armor making a metal against metal sound. It echoed through the alley, and he grabbed the arm before it had the time to get too far away. He pulled her towards him violently, and punched Nightshade in the stomach sending her flying through the portal, forgetting about where it lead for a second. But, was soon reminded as she slammed into his back sending him toppling. Though he caught himself, and pushed off his hand to get back to his feet. He looked back at Nightshade, and burst into laughter.
“Ugh tell me you didn’t see that,” he said.

She’d hoped that her knife would do some damage against the armor, but paled when she realized that it was useless. Nightshade didn’t expect him to turn around so quickly and punch her, and braced herself to hit the hard concrete. Instead, she found herself going through the alien’s portal and crashing into him before landing on her back. She stared up at him in bewilderment as he laughed. Was he actually fighting her? She was annoyed that he had managed to take her by surprise, but smiled smugly when her eyes fell on his back, where she could see that tiny wisps of smoke were starting to rise. The cut that she had made to break through the safe still hadn’t healed yet, and her blood had smeared against his back when she had crashed into him.

Void slowly turned around to fully face Nightshade, and then sniffed.
“Do you smell bacon? Man I just ate, and I already want bacon… What’s wrong with me? I swear some days I just don’t know what to do with myself,” he said shaking his head.
As he had no idea that his back was smoldering from the acidic blood that was slowly eating away at his armor.
“Well you going to sit there all day? Or are we going to take a little break? I could get juice boxes, or some fruit by the foot,” Void asked.

Nightshade simply smiled and made no hurry in getting up. She casually dusted herself off as she looked at him. “You’ve got a little something on your back,” she stated with a smirk.

“Hmm? What do you mean,” Void asked reaching a hand to his back.
He pulled back seeing blood it slowly began to burn away at the armor on his hand. His eyes widening into a stare of, ‘what the fuck?’ He then realized why he was smelling bacon, and sighed as he shook his head.
“Great another hole in my back... God dammit,” he said in a great deal of irritation.
He looked at Nightshade, and approached her slowly, and waved his hand in a dismissive way. The portals shutting as he attempted to shake the blood off his hand.
“Look I need to take care of this, and you’re obviously gonna get away. Zipties or not, so do me a favor. Can we be friends,” he said in an innocent way.

This guy is just full of surprises, isn’t he? Nightshade thought, blinking at him incredulously. First he’d groped her, accused her of affiliating with traitors, then punched her through a damned portal… Now he wanted to be friends? She eyed him warily, wondering if he was serious. He would be a good ally, his portal-making skills would definitely come in handy in a tight situation, but Nightshade had always had a tough time trusting people.
“Just get some calcium gluconate for your back. A hospital or laboratory should have it,” she said as she started to back away from him. “And if you really want to be friends… You’ll have to prove that you won’t kill me next time,” she added before making a dash towards the end of the alleyway.

Calcium gluconate? Crap I really don’t wanna go into a hospital… Needles scare me, though I think I might know of a relatively abandoned lab. Not to mention the whole melting thing will be bad for my health, Void thought to himself rubbing his chin in thought.
Forgetting about the acidic blood on his hand. He sighed in great aggravation at himself, as now he had to fully soak in the stuff. He then watched Nightshade leaving, and faintly smiled and nodded.
“I promise next we meet, we’ll become the best of friends. I promise…. Ummm ,” Void said then remembered something important; “WAIT! I never got your name! Mines Void!”

She had just turned the corner when she heard him shout out his name. Nightshade shook her head in amusement and kept running. Depending on how things turned out next time, she might give him her name then, or maybe not. For now though, she had to worry about a certain microchip in her pocket that she’d went through all that trouble to steal.

Shinobi took off his suit rather quickly and quickly shut the loft's door. The mission, although it was extremely public and probably taped at so many angles, was a success. The culprit wasn't Omega, but the Head of Police. What he had was the truth, but not the facts that people wanted. He had to manipulate people now, get them to do what he wanted so the people saw how corrupted the government was. He had to get the Police to do something that would make them hated much more than they were, to make the public angry and riots to occur. He wanted anarchy.

It would be hard, because the Head of Police probably knew how to manipulate people. They probably knew how to make ends meet, how to make things go her way. He wouldn't be surprised if they were ramming down his door this very second. No matter, it would only make the day more fun. His suits were interchangeable, but the Sicarius suit couldn't be used for a while. People recognised it.

Now, what crime would a person have to commit that would draw the Police's attention far enough to get a public event where I looked like the hero?

It would be a hard task. Thinking some time, he finally came up with a plan of action. Terrorists, the Guanyin, are all the news. They killed the mayor. Omega, he's also responsible. Both of them, incredibly high-value targets probably being hunted down by the Police as he thought. So why not kill Omega, or what at least people think is Omega? Why not show the public that he is a hero, and the Police are corrupt?

Shinobi would have to wait some time for the perfect conditions. Bright daylight, during rush hour, the perfect time to stage an event. Omega will die, and he will die by Shinobi's hands. Yes . . .

Before sleep, he had to do his homework. His biohelmet, which was always equipped to allow him to breathe and generally live, could allow him access into the Internet. He looked up the Chief of Police in New Tokyo, leading him to the conclusion that this lady was Lucius, a lady of a tender age with wit that could slice through butter.

Should have just stayed in for the day. There was a lot of things he should have done for today. Should have just went back to the Proginator, should have ditched his work uniform, should have eaten breakfast today. Lot's of should have, but right now he was dealing with a psycho lady pointing two automatic weapons at him. Yoshimitsu wasn't afraid to die; all the clones knew that their life would be measured in days. The Proginator makes sure they were all aware of that, and they've made their peace with it. Still, there wasn't much good in dying in a place like this.

Yoshimitsu was in a pickle though. The girl had two guns trained on him, and this body didn't have enough mass to survive a full blast, which he's likely to get since he's so close to her and in a cramp alley. And while his outfit made him look badass, leather wasn't much of a bullet stopper. He could try to shoot her and he's unlikely to miss since he's pretty close and she doesn't have room to move either. But that's if he could even get a shot off, and she already had her guns trained on him. So he tried one of his last resorts: negotiation. "I see what you mean. I can also see that you're... In a bit of a bind yourself. You're in a hurry, sorry for getting in your way. But I'm thinking that this could work out for both of us. You need to get away from here. Not going to be easy since this place is pretty much always crawling with those coppers. But as you could tell, I'm not what you'd call "Affiliated" with them. So think about this. We lower our guns, pretend that this right now is just a... Misunderstanding. In return I can stay out of your way, maybe even point you in the right direction to where you want to go. And maybe later when you're not busy, we could make an arrangement for next time."

Yoshimitsu was bluffing through his teeth, though it's a good thing he didn't have any in this form. He'd hope the girl was a reasonable sort of psycho, but in the very real chance she just blasts him in the head, there was on more trump card to play; his only grenade. Won't kill her, but it might stun her and reveal her location long enough for the local cops to come in and nab her. But he knew the cops well and he had some serious doubts they would even bat an eye to his explosion. He was praying on a falling star here. A bit silly since he was sure to die in a few days anyways, but a guy could try. If nothing else, he had to do something. He was a hero, and would die as one if he had to.

Void opened a portal to a place he’d escaped to after one of his more, unfortunate accidents. That had left him clinically dead for a few hours. As he recalled it was in one of the giga skyscrapers. Along with the blinding white of a guy that didn’t know what the word color meant. The place had been blinding, and had left him stumbling for a few hours. He slowly began to remember more, and more about it as the nanites repaired the damage to those nerves in his brain. The more he focused the clearer the image became in his mind. Soon he opened his eyes, and he reached out to an imaginary door, and twisted the equally imaginary door knob. He opened the door a portal opening to a bright blindingly white room.

He stepped through the portal into the room. He stumbled around rather lost for a few minutes before his helmets eyes could adjust, and help him see clearer. He walked to the strange markings on the floor, and followed them to the case. As soon as he had punched through the glass alarms began to blare, and flame throwers, and buzz saws lowered from the ceiling. While small square holes opened, and little rabid gerbils began running out at Void. He couldn’t help, but to scream like a frightened little girl. He turned tail after grabbing the Calcium Gluconate ointment from the shelf.
“Why god why,” Void cried out as he ran.

As he ran he applied the Calcium Gluconate ointment, because he could heal from the stuff that was about to happen to him. But, the acid was a serious issue. If it fully spread he could permanently die, seeing the sizzling stop he relaxed. He then turned on the security system, and began opening fire using the last of his bullets to pop the gerbils, and take out a few of the flame throwers, and buzzsaws. He relaxed fully, and took a seat. Though he soon began to cough, seeing a white smoke began to fill the room he shot up and attempted to get out. But, the doors wouldn't budge he banged on the door with his fading strength futilely. Soon he couldn't think straight, soon his muscles failed him as the whole room went from the obnoxious white to pitch black as he hit the floor hard.
"Worlds worst fart," was Void's final thought.

Erebus couldn't help but admire the girl's tenacity. When push came to shove and the gauntlet had been thrown her first instinct had been to stand her ground and draw a weapon. Which in itself was a bit surprising, he knew she had powers and expected them to be her first line of response when confronted, he knew they had something to do with light manipulation and expected the aura of light shining from behind here had something to do with them but they did seem to be adding much offensively.

“Baseball bat bit of an odd weapon for a super cop isn't it?” Erebus asked nonchalantly, his right hand reaching for the back of his belt where his knife and baton were strapped,he held it there for a moment, deciding which of his weapons was best for the given situation. He certainly didn't want to kill her, not really his style and to much attention, and the garrote wasn't nearly as effective if he couldn't catch them by surprise. Deciding he drew the baton, giving it a quick flick of the wrist as he did so, snapping it out to it's full thirty-one inch length, might as well keep things fair .

“That chief of yours not trust you supers enough for the real weapons, not deep enough in her pocket to ensure you'll behave?” Erebus continued, lower his stance and drawing back his baton slightly so he'd be ready to react if Lumineer made a move.
